“Normal”
Tumblr media
- in which you’re on a date with someone that isn’t Gojo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Does this count as stalking?”
It absolutely did count as stalking.
Gojo, Shoko, Nanami and Geto were currently huddled in a dimly lit booth hunkering down as to not be seen by you…or your pompous looking date sat opposite you.
“It’s not stalking.” Gojo splutters, glaring at Geto through the top of his sunglasses, “It’s just..just-”
“You tracking Y/N down and making us watch her on a date.” Shoko muses, rolling a cigarette between her fingers, reaching for her lighter.
“Exactly!”
Nanami groans, his head falling backwards, hair falling over the curve of his eyebrows, hiding his face slightly.
Shaking his head, a small grin dances across Geto’s calm face, watching as Gojo pouts and glares at your table, eyes completely trained on your face.
“‘S’not even that good looking, she just has a thing for guys that flatter her.” He grumbles under his breath, flicking the fancy wall he leaned on.
“Think most girls enjoy feelin’ pretty Gojo.” Shoko replies, hand still feeling around in her pocket, “Oh fuck sakes, I’ve lost my lighter…Hey- Geto, you wouldn’t happen to have a spare one on ya?”
Geto nodded, tossing her a purple lighter from across the table, smiling gently as she thanked him.
“You shouldn’t smoke inside.” Nanami mutters, now staring down at the menu in-front of him, finger tracing along the prices in thought, seeming to pause on the brownie section.
“No one can see, we’re fine.” She sighs, taking a drag and blowing it towards Gojo, grinning as he dramatically clutches his chest, gasping for air.
“What’s the point of us even being here Gojo.” Nanami huffs, side eyeing the bakery stand parallel to their table.
“Because, I need to show her that this..this loser is nothing compared to me!”
“I don’t know Satoru.” Geto muses, taking a sip of his camomile, “Y/N seems pretty into him.”
“Suguru!” Gojo gasps in horror, betrayal dripping from his voice and on to the curve of his disgusted face.
Shoko wiggles her eyebrows teasingly, inhaling before continuing. “He has a point Gojo, I mean look, you ever see her smile like that?”
Gojo whips his head around to stare at you, and Shoko covers her mouth to hide a poorly restrained giggle, sharing a glance with Geto.
“I make her smile like that- She smiles like that with me!!” He whines, and Nanami rolls his eyes.
A waitress smashes a glass from behind the café’s counter, you jump slightly in your seat and turn to look over at the sound, you don’t notice the group of strange looking teenagers ducking down at your movement, concealing themselves poorly in their seats.
Your date laughs at you, you blush and turn back to him bashfully, excusing yourself for being so on edge.
Gojo glares.
“So what’s the plan then Gojo.” Nanami drawls, resting his face on his palm.
“Yes! The plan!” Gojo splutters, looking away from your pretty, pretty face to look at the three of them.
He hesitates and Shoko groans.
“You do have a plan don’t you?”
“Of course I do!..So, the plan..the plan um, well-”
“He has no plan.” Geto interrupts.
“Jesus Christ Gojo.”
“Does that mean I can leave?”
“Shut up!” Gojo exclaims, “I’m thinking give me a second would ya?”
“Nanami if your leaving I’m coming with you.”
“Wanna go now Shoko?”
“Guys!”
Gojo slumps forward in his chair, his face resting on the table as he whines.
Geto rests a hand on his back and chuckles, shaking his head at the two other sorcerers.
“It’s ok Satoru, we can all figure something out ‘kay?”
“Yea?” Gojo replies, his voice muffled by the table.
“Yea.”
Instantly, Gojo springs up, his eyes as wide as his smile.
“Ok let’s brainstorm.” Geto suggest, his voice like honey as he removes his hand from Gojo’s back and reaches back to his tea.
“What if we spill tea over him!” Gojo gasped, pointing towards the cup in Geto’s hand, a sharp look crossing his face.
“Stupid. Y/N would see us.” Shoko grumbles.
“No- See Shoko, the point of a brain storming session means we make suggestions and listen without judgement.” Gojo argues, crossing his arms.
“Yea but your idea was stupid.” Nanami concludes, watching as Shoko nods.
“You suggest something then Nanamin!”
“I’m suggesting nothing, this whole idea is foolish.”
“OoOoh “Foolish” is it?”
“I’m leaving.”
Nanami stands up reaching for his bag, scowling at Gojo.
“Hey, hey Nanami c’mon ignore him he’s just..” Geto pauses with a quick regard to Gojo, “He’s just Satoru.”
“An idiot.” Shoko chimes.
“Yes, an idiot.”
Nanami sighs as he sits down, placing his brown bag back at his feet reluctantly ignoring Gojo’s grin.
“…What if we trip up the waitress as she’s bringing them their food.” Shoko suggests, twirling a piece of hair around her finger.
“That could work!”
“No, Satoru, that just causes trouble to the waiting staff.”
“And?”
Geto rolls his eyes, “We don’t need to cause anyone any trouble just because you’re too afraid to just ask Y/N out.”
“I am not afraid!” Gojo moans, putting his face in his hands.
“Uh huh, that’s why you fell out with her when she told you about the date.” Shoko laughs, wiping off ash from her arm.
“What was I supposed to do?” Gojo queries, frowning.
“Talk to her?” Nanami deadpans, “Like a normal person.”
“Our Gojo isn’t normal though.” Shoko winks, nudging an unamused Nanami.
“Focus guys.” Geto says, clapping his hands twice to draw attention.
Your sweet laugh echoes through the cafe, and Gojo pouts, shoulders slumping.
You were supposed to be sitting opposite him laughing.
It was supposed to be his food with which you shared.
And yet one petty argument about some random guy you had met in returning from your last mission asking you out, had ruined everything.
The shared glances between you and Gojo, how you leaned on his shoulder when you slept in classes, the way he would always keep an eye on your cursed energy when joining you in battle.
All those little moments had dissolved in the bitter moments after you informed him of your date, a small smile dancing in your eyes.
“He said I was pretty Toru’” You had said, your eyes wide, and Gojo wanted to cover the love sick gleam glistening in your eyes with his hand.
“I always think your pretty.” He mumbled, watching you cock your head in confusion.
“What was that?” You questioned, leaning towards him slightly, trying to recall his quiet words.
“Nothin’.” His curt response didn’t phase you as you moved backwards, a charming skip in your step.
“Think he sounds stupid.” Gojo was never good at expressing his true feelings, and in that moment, Gojo’s sheer panic over you leaving him overpowered his aloofness.
“You think someone thinking I’m pretty is stupid?” Your shoulders fell, and you turn to him, a small lour crossing your face.
“What? No? That’s not what I-”
“It what’s you said though Toru’” You sighed, and Gojo cursed at himself for the glimmer of insecurity that appeared to vex you in that moment.
“It’s just- Well he’s just stupid.”
“So you are calling him stupid for telling me I’m pretty.”
“No! He’s stupid! Not his words!”
“That’s the same thing Gojo!”
“Is not!”
“Is too!”
And now Gojo’s watching as Geto summons one of his smallest and weakest curses to push your stupid dates chair over, sunglasses off and held in his fist.
“Oh so we’re actually going with this plan? I wasn’t imagining it?” Shoko muses, stealing a forkful of Nanami’s brownie.
“Nobody else had any better ideas.” Gojo silenced, waving a hand in her direction, practically clamouring on top of Geto to watch.
“Satoru watch it, I can’t see where my curse is going with you on me.” Geto scolds, brushing the white haired man off.
“I can’t believe this is happening.” Nanami’s disinterest oozes out from his voice, nudging his plate over to Shoko who smiles brightly at his offer.
Geto flexes his hand, ensuring that the curse went unnoticed by you, it ducked under a table and weaved between chair legs.
“Make sure Y/N doesn’t see it!” Gojo panics, his hand covering his mouth.
Geto pauses, and looks over his shoulder towards Gojo, eyebrow raised.
“…Sit down Satoru.”
And Gojo immediately drops, hands on his legs.
The curse bobbles over to under your dates chair, and Geto smiles, before releasing his hold.
.
.
.
The sound of your dates chair toppling over boomed through the cafe, and with a swift flick of his finger, the curse dissapears, and all four of the sorcerer’s immediately drop their heads.
“Oh my God? Are you ok?!” Your concerned voice follows, and you stand up instantly, rushing towards your date, who grins at you from the floor.
“Oops, must have slipped.” He smiles, accepting your hand in helping in up, wiping the memory of his fall off of his jeans. “At least I have a pretty lady to help me in my moment of weakness.”
You giggle, and push his shoulder, “Oh shush you tease.” Bending over to pick up his chair.
“Oh no don’t worry I got it.” Your date winks, helping you lift the chair.
“How??!?!” Gojo groans, watching you swoon, “What is happening?”
“Man.. She must really like him eh?” Shoko offers, sharing a cheeky smile with Geto.
“Maybe it’s hopeless.” Nanami chimes in, “Do you want to finish this?” He asks Shoko, gesturing to the half eaten brownie.
“Actually?”
“Yea go on, you seem to be enjoying it.”
“Maybe.” Geto cuts in, “Maybe we should just leave them be? Let it fizzle out naturally?”
“What if there is no naturally Suguru.” Gojo mopes, kicking the leg of the table.
“Gojo it’s obvious she likes you, and it’s obvious you’re both smitten.” Shoko says, her voice muffled and she finishes Nanami’s brownie.
“..You think?”
“Everyone thinks.” Nanami replies, “Haibara thought you two were dating when we first joined the school.”
“How is Haibara by the way?” Geto questioned, “Why didn’t he join us?”
“Not sure, he said something about needing more sleep before his first solo mission.”
“Isn’t that next week?” Shoko adds.
“He likes his sleep.”
“Come on guys! Focus!!” Gojo exclaims. “I’m in a dire situation here!!”
“A dire situation that could be solved with a conversation, Gojo.” Nanami rolls his eyes.
“Try the curse again Suguru.”
“Satoru it didn’t work once, it probably won’t work a second time.”
“Ugh.” Gojo slumps back, a sigh escaping his lips. “If you’re all so sure Y/N likes me, then why is she with that loser right now?”
“She probably got tired waiting for you to make a move Gojo.” Shoko replies.
“Yea the “will they, won’t they” becomes tiresome after a while.” Geto agrees, pushing his empty cup towards the middle of the table.
“Ah!” Shoko says pointing over at you.
“They’re leaving Gojo.” Nanami affirms, joining Shoko in pointing.
“What?!?” Gojo gapes, “No!”
Geto laughs, shoving Gojo to his feet, watching you leave the cafe. “Go get her Satoru.”
“But how?” Gojo moans.
“Just go!” They all exclaim, and Gojo pauses for a split second before he’s bounding towards the door.
By the time he’s outside, you’re waving goodbye to your date, promising to call him as he walks the other way.
You look happy he thinks, and suddenly feels very out of place.
Gojo’s begins to turn to go back into the cafe, admitting defeat, when he hears your voice behind him.
“Gojo?” You gasp, disbelief permeating from your voice. And Gojo freezes, turning around awkwardly to face you.
“Hi.” Gojo replied, scuffing his shoes against the ground as he approaches you, hands in his pockets attempting to appear cool.
You look at him, your mouth slightly agape as you fiddle with the sleeve of your jumper, processing his appearance.
“You followed me to my date?” You ask accusingly, glancing around.
“He didn’t offer to take you home?” Gojo chooses to ignore you, refusing to acknowledge the implication of your words.
“I told him I could go back by myself.”
“Some guy.”
“Satoru.” You pause, lifting a hand to stop him, “Why are you here?”
A car drives past the pair of you, it’s headlights cast shadows across his perfect face and your hold yourself back from staring.
He stalls, looking at you for a moment. “C’mere, I’ll walk you home.”
“Satoru.”
You’re tired of his deflections, for once you just want to talk.
You both stare at each-other, silence decorating the air between you.
And Gojo shakes his head, stepping backwards and looking away.
“You look good.” He mutters.
“Good?”
“Pretty alright? You look pretty, he was right.”
“My date?”
Gojo’s sunglasses fall down the bridge of his nose slightly as he leans down to look at you.
“Who else?” He muses.
You don’t understand, your heart fluttering pathetically in your chest as you prove further.
“Why are you telling me this now?” You ask, your voice light, scarce of hope.
“Because.” Gojo hesitates, hating how unsure he sounds in this moment. “Because you are.”
You step towards him, it’s a slow movement and Gojo watches you almost cautiously.
“It took me going on a date with someone else for you to finally say something?” You tease, your hands shaking despite the confidence in your words.
“Would have said something without him, y’know?”
“..Really?” Your eyes widen, a tiny grin crossing your face.
Gojo nods, and you take another step and hug him, burying your face in the warmth of his chest.
And Gojo’s smile almost hurts his cheeks as he wraps his arms around your figure, pulling you in closer.
“You’re an idiot.” You mumble, looking up at him.
“But you like me.” He replies, cockily grinning down at you, blue eyes sparkling.
“Yea, I do.” You whisper, clinging to him, moving your head backdown to face his chest, face burning with your confession.
A small kiss is placed on the top of your head and you hold back a giddy laugh, pulling away from his embrace completely.
“So…Does that mean you’ll let me take you out?” Gojo questions, taking your hand and pulling you gently along to walk with him.
“Hmm I don’t know..Are you asking?” Your head leans on his arm, grabbing his arm as you walk.
“I would take you somewhere much better than that shitty cafe.”
And you’re laughing, “You love that cafe Toru.”
And he laughs with you, a long arm circling around your shoulders, pulling you impossibly closer to him.
And Geto, Shoko and Nanami watch from the window of the cafe, shaking their heads.
“Idiots.” Shoko says.
“Completely.” Nanami agrees.

— satosugu as boyfriends —
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it’s hard to decide who’s your bigger fan, satoru or suguru. they’re so in love with everything you do & are so supportive! it took a LOOONNNGG way though— let’s say you met them when they were still in school & so were you. though — you were not a sorcerer. satoru doesn’t mind, he hated non-sorcerers before for making him the reason he’s so looked upto. now thanks to suguru, he wants to protect them. suguru knew you much before than satoru, you were his neighbor after all. how else could you hangout with people who have such major power differences?
things changed after the riko incident— you could see the hatred that suguru slowly festered within him. there were days satoru came to suguru’s apartment to relax & play games with their other juniors like nanamin or haibara. these days you could hardly see the fun… suguru goes out and comes home & that’s all. you and him used to play together as kids and despite you reaching out, suguru was shutting down.
it was until he killed his own parents — that satoru took matters into his own hands. killed hundreds of people & adopted, some girls!!?!?!?? what was even happening!! to protect you, satoru shifted you to the gojo estate. it was simple really, you were a non-sorcerer & suguru would not really care about your life right now just to prove a point.
a year went by just processing what was happening. of course— spending a year with gojo satoru also meant that you two had become incredibly close. earlier, you were invited by suguru over because you & him had always played gaming consoles together. right now, it was totally different. you didn’t know satoru was so mature, and so kind when needed, although keeping his childishness still intact. you were the only one he could openly talk about suguru with. not even shoko — her & yaga had started calling him geto to detach maybe. yet it’s endearing to see such fondness in satoru’s eyes for his bestfriend aka almost lover aka what could have been.
long story short— suguru could not kill you. it’s sickening to think he could do so with his parents but after a year or two when he finally went to the gojo estate having known your whereabouts & missing the chaste peck he stole when things were alright. he cried. hugging you tenderly. expressing how he thinks he shouldn’t have been high on adrenaline that day & did what he did… he wants people like satoru to suffer less. he wants to do something ‼️
it takes a while for suguru to start healing, no one suspects that the strongest sorcerer satoru gojo had secretly kept his best friend in the gojo estate along with his almost girlfriend. :33 even the girls are present with megumi and tsumiki & despite their contrasting personalities— things have seemed to settle for once.
you knew suguru liked to cook so you were now greeted by him preparing you the sweetest ever breakfast in bed, meanwhile satoru insisted you sleep with him (to protect you) :3 yeah as ifff 💁🏻‍♀️ man was too shy to make the first move just yet because you had been trusting him so good. afraid to fuck up. though when you agree? oh he is out of this world. suguru is happy too, in a way he also gets to spoil satoru like this.
satoru uses his old money to ensure you three go on trips at least once every 2-3 weeks. the recent one that you remember is paris. for new years !! it was beautiful to confess your love for each other and finally officially start dating. you were spoiled by insanely hot balcony sex that day. ;)
suguru has improved & also started honing his skills. though during one of the much intimate conversations, you had asked him to trust you enough to come home to after swallowing the sabotaging negativity of a curse & to let you kiss it away. <3 you trust him to follow through with it.
suguru can get especially testy when you’re around your period and satoru decides to mess with your mood. normally, satoru’s teasing is ignored but during those days he gets smacked from sugu. :3 satoru just wants your mood to be better :(( not in the same sense as suguru perhaps. so satoru takes on the role of your sugar daddy as usual. getting you your favorite snackies and stuff.
there is no power dynamic as such between the two of them. really— they’re just equals and you like that despite being in a relationship, satosugu can be switches to each other and daddy doms to you as always.
satoru was the first one who discovered that making you feel smaller, would regress you up a little. you’d cutely pout & get subby and babytalking to you during that rare occaision would actually get him you in the form of putty in his hands. so satosugu are mostly like “let daddy handle it sweetness.” / “oh no you’re too small for that, give me.” / “no baby you can’t reach there, let daddy help.” and ugh it makes you so fucking submissive for them they love that & YOU love that😩
satoru and suguru together decided to get you another cat which would be a cute little brother for your pet. they are such good pet fathers you often wonder how good they’d be to kids — oh wait, 😏 you have their adopted babies to witness that first hand too! how lucky! 🍀
nsfw hcs later alligator i’d elaborate on this more later too! enjoy my word vomit besties 👯‍♀️ send me jjk askies 🙇🏻‍♀️ thank you!

What would you say to people who say Gojo only cares about Geto? 😭 I've seen this take go around that Gojo doesn't care or want to risk his life for anyone BUT Geto, and there's another take in Geto's case where the whole reason he defected was for Gojo. Which.. are both obviously wrong, but I was wondering about your thoughts on this?
Tumblr media
A lot of the "Gojo only cares about Geto" takes come from a misinterpretation, or romantization of this line that Geto was "his one and only..." This line does not indicate that Gojo never cared about anyone else but Geto, in fact the story does go painstakingly out of its way to give several indications of Gojo showing the indirect way he cares about both his students and his fellow sorcerers. At the same time, I do believe that Gojo does mean that Geto is his "One and only friend..." that for various reasons as attached as he may feel to his coworkers, they'll never be friends to him because friends implies they're equals and the only person he ever saw as one is Geto.
The three years of Gojo's youth stand out to Gojo because meeting Geto was the only time he ever really experienced a normal friendship with someone on equal terms, and that was because for that brief period of time they were the strongest together. Gojo who's birth apaprently changed the balance of the world for Jujutsu Society, just happened to meet a boy with curse manipulation who didn't come from the clan system, could hold his own against him in a fight, and constantly lectured him and tried to keep him following regulations.
It's something which draws them together and also eventually drives them apart, because Gojo thinks the basis of his friendship with Geto is that Geto will just "Get it..." because since they're both the strongest he's the only one that can understand Gojo. Gojo's entire character revolves around the fact that he's always observing other people from a distance, his technique is called the infinity and it makes it so people can't touch him no matter how close they come. His assumption that because Geto is as strong as him and they so naturally connect that is enough, but that assumption is proven wrong via Geto's downfall.
Here's where I quote another meta because they put it way better than I could, but a big factor sabotaging Gojo's relationship is his own superiority complex.
gojou 100% has a god complex and thats why getous downfall hit him harder than anyone else. he saw himself and getou as above everyone else and exempt from ‘regular’ peoples flaws, he never thought either of them could be led astray and when getou finally snaps hes bewildered that something like that could ever happen to either of them. hes not just heartbroken over his best friend becoming an enemy, hes thrown for a loop because getou, the one person he thinks of as just as above everyone else and incapable of failing as he is, could ever do something wrong, could ever be wrong. hes finally put into a position where he has to face the fact that hes just as capable of screwing up as anyone else and he can’t make sense of it. gojous hesitance in killing getou isn’t just a byproduct of their friendship, it’s also him realizing that it could have easily been him on the other side of the conflict, which breaks the illusion of him being better than everyone for a second. and like that’s still not enough for him to reject this idea, personally i think that his comment about him and getou being 'the strongest’ in volume 0 is indicative of the fact that despite everything he still hasn’t grown out of this delusion
Gojo didn't really descend down to Geto's level to understand him, he just assumed that him and Geto were standing above others on top of the same pedestal which is why they so naturally clicked. Which isn't the real reason why they're friends, they're friends because well they like each other, Geto's stricter personality keeps Gojo in check, but Geto's also good at noticing that Gojo's a much more considerate person than he appears to be and sees the good in Gojo and how he indirectly tries to help people. Gojo also tries to do in return with Geto, like how he changed his entire speech pattern based on a lecture from Geto that he needed to be more respectful when addressing others. The reason they're friends isn't their power level, but Gojo thinks it is (and Geto probably did too) which is why their relatioship starts to crumble. It's actually foreshadowed in a pretty well directed scene in a first episode of the anime.
Tumblr media
Geto and Gojo are talking about their ideologies about protecting the weak, or how Gojo doesn't believe strong people should have to limit themselves. Geto throws a basket jumping into the air to do so, he hits the rim and then falls off.
Tumblr media
Gojo on the other hand not even looking picks up the ball with one hand, and effortlessly throws it into the net and makes the basket. Implying the fact that despite both of them being compettitors, Gojo just has the natural edge in talent. Which is what happens by the end of their third year, Gojo just gets way too far ahead of Geto to the point where he's always doing missions alone from then on.
Gojo forms a friendship with Geto because he wants to be an equal with someone else, but he never gets over the belief of his inherent superiority. This is also his foiling with Sukuna, and why we see Sukuna and Yorozu's fight right before the final fight between him and Gojo.
Tumblr media
Sukuna and Gojo both suffer from the "Solitude that ultimate strength brings" because they only person they'd acknowledge as their equal is someone as strong as they were. Heck, even Sukuna the nastiest character in the manga has a companion in Ura Ume, who despite Ura Ume acting like a slavish devotee he doesn't really mistreat that much. When Ura Ume fails and apologizes, Sukuna tends to just let it go. The two of them even laugh together. However, despite Sukuna treating Ura Ume marginally better than he treats literally anyone else, their relationship is entirely based off of the fact that Ura Ume is Sukuna's devotee. He's just a subordinate that Sukuna seems sort of fond of, nothing more. They're both unable to let go of their own egos, and therefore don't really form relationships between equals, they form relationships as barters or transactions.
So to reiterate there's a lot of evidence that Gojo will go out of his way to take care of his colleagues and his associates. Gojo's pretty famous for his bullying of Ijichi, but there's a light novel story where he goes out of his way to take Ijichi drinking when he realizes the strength of his work is becoming too much for him.
This could all be attributed to being able to take a proper break after so long but a larger portion was due to sweeping away the “haze” within his heart and most importantly, Gojou’s concern for him had an immediate effect that was better than expected. Even though Gojou was self-centered, did whatever he wanted and had Spartan methods, he was still a teacher. As a top Jujutsu Sorcerer, Gojou was extremely reliable and Ichiji’s own hard work was acknowledged by him, and in Ichiji’s opinion, this sense of sincerely had an immense power of motivation.
Then, of course there's the recent chapters where Gojo reiterates he's asking Ijichi to do things for him because he trusts him.
Tumblr media
At the same time I think there's a clear parallel between Ura Ume and Ijichi, Gojo's fond of Ijichi but in the end he's still a subordinate that Gojo trusts on the basis that Ijichi will do things for him. Ijichi thinks that he OWES Gojo and therefore must serve him to the best of his ability. His self esteem is incredibly low such as when he openly remarks that he expected Gojo to say that he should have died instead of Nanami, and he sees himself as inferior because he's weaker.
Tumblr media
A lot of Gojo's relatioships work on the basis of transactions, because he is a cog in the machine of sorcery society and that's how you navigate that same society. For example he seems to get along better with Mei Mei than say Utahime, but that's not because he thinks Mei Mei is a better person, he can just pay her off and she'll do what he wants.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gojo puts Gakuganji the guy who killed Yaga in charge after the higher ups are killed, because that's just how the machine keeps running you gotta find replacement cogs. If Yaga's gone then you just need someone capable of doing the job that Yaga did. Gojo prioritizes function above everything else in regards to personal relationships.
I'd also like to point out that despite Gojo went behind Yaga's back a bunch of time, he also had respect for his position as principal. He does stuff like let Yaga wrestle him down and lecture him in front of everyone after learning that Yuji is still alive, and Gege calls it "reading the room". He acknowledges also that Yaga's position as principal requires him making harsh decisions to compromise between protecting his students and catering to the elders. Gojo gets it, because he's a cog in that same society too.
Tumblr media
When Gojo goes out of his way to rescue Megumi and Tsumiki from being forcibly taken in by the Zen'in Clan? Well, they have to still work for Jujutsu High otherwise he's not even going to give them money for food to eat.
Yet, Gojo's also capable of being really fond and considerate towards these same people. He clearly watches over Megumi closely and when he saw Megumi was sacrificing himself too much by summoning Mahoraga as a last resort suicide attempt, he did his best to try to fix Megumi's behavior in his own Gojo way. He watches Megumi close enough that he could notice that pattern of behavior from one tiny detail like Megumi choosing to bunt in a baseball game.
Tumblr media
Gojo does things like pet Megumi on the head and act fondly towards him, but at the same time he's taking Megumi on missions to exorcise curses when Megumi's like... eight. Gojo will go out of his way to recruit Nanami because he realizes that Yuji needs someone to take care of his emotional needs and teach him the basics which isn't something he's good at as a sorcerer.
Which was why he decided to talk about such a topic with Nanami. “For people like us, we naturally know how to get rid of the poisons within their heart. But for youths who hold onto a lot of sentimental feelings, it’s another matter altogether. Their heart might collapse just from getting struck by poison once.” “Isn’t it an adult’s duties to rid poison from a child’s heart? As a teacher, you should know this better than me, right?” “Of course I know that’s my duty, which is why I’m talking about this with you here.”
Gojo notices that Yuta is lonely, and is the first one really to advise him to make friends with his fellow sorcerers, something Maki also repeats later in the first chapter of JJK 0 that if he works hard as a sorcerer he'll find someone who needs him and a place to belong. Gojo is also someone who threatens the higher ups if they turn against Yuta that he's going to take Yuta's side and not theirs.
Tumblr media
Gojo is also the person who sent Yuta's friends to get beaten up by Geto, because he knew it would piss Yuta off and power him up.
Gojo constantly mocks Utahime and derides her as weak, Gojo also goes up to Utahime personally and asks her to track down the spy leaking information in the sorcerer college because he admits it's something he can't do and she's good at.
My point in highlighting all of this is that Gojo is not a good or bad person, but that his behavior is extremely contradictory. I can point out just as many occasions where he's considerate to people he's close to and tries to take care of them, as I can point out where he uses people in selfish ways to push forward his own agenda.
Tumblr media
The central reason why being this, that Gojo's incorrect belief that being the strongest makes him alone, and there's no one who could understand him with the exception of someone on the same level of him.
Tumblr media
When that's just not true.

Summer Time (Gojo Satoru x Reader)
!!Warning!! Couple flirting with each other, established relationships, flirty gojo, a little spicy in the end
“It's the sea!!!!” Yoru yelled excitedly as we arrived at our destination, a 2 hours bus ride from Tokyo. “The smell of the sea is amazing!!!” She took a deep and large breath.
So, Yoru invited Yae, Tori and me when her friends in the same department were saying wanted to go to the beach to pick up some hotties. Yae and I are going to be the baits. We were told about this right after we arrived at the beach. They even went as far as preparing our swimsuits and everything we might need during our time on the beach. Truly terrifying.
So, now the seven of us, which is the usual four plus three of Tori’s friends, named Kaitani Makoto, Sato Yuzu, and Niwa Sera, are now in the restroom, changing into swimsuits.
“What do you think when choosing this?” I gave Yoru noogies. The swimsuit they had chosen for me is a one-piece swimsuit that is somewhat normal looking from the front. It does cover up for most of the part, but the back is absolutely bare, it doesn't even completely cover the rear, it’s all strings. There's no way I will wear this outside.
“Eh? But this suit you well.” Yoru pouted.
“Indeed. Enough sexiness and coolness.” Yae snapped some pictures. “Show some boldness.”
“Delete that.” I deadpanned at Yae. “And if you want to show some boldness, you try this.” I glared.
“My swimsuit is just fine as it is. And Suguru-san will get angry if I wear too daring of a swimsuit.” She replied easily. Yae is wearing a two pieces white bandeau bikini with skirted bottom in the same colour.
“I am going home.” I re-entered the restroom.
“No no no. There is a spare swimsuit. I will get it for you.” Yoru quickly said.
“It's better a normal one or I am leaving.”
“Roger!” Yoru saluted and then quickly searched for the said swimsuit. In the end, she came with a normal two pieces bikini in black colour. The top is tied in a thick knot on the front, while the bottom is also tied in a thick knot only on the left side. Again, Yae is taking pictures the moment I came out.
“Yae, stop taking the pic.” I groaned.
“How is this?” Yoru smiled.
“At least better than what I wore just now.” I sighed. After the whole thing had been sorted, we went back to our claimed spot. A nice big parasol and beach carpet have been laid up.
“Sea!!!! Here I come!!!” Yoru literally ran to the sea, giggling when the sea wave came crashing into her.
“Sorry.” Tori apologized.
“Why are you apologizing?”
“Because we sort of forcing you to come with us?” She smiled sheepishly.
“If I really don’t want to, I won’t come no matter how Yoru begged.” My lips curled into a smile. “Besides, it’s not that bad.” I lay on the beach carpet. “Aside from the fact that I can see the double amount of the people here.”
“So, there are ghosts here too.” Tori sweatdropped. “How many?”
“As many as the living people here,” I answered.
“So, ghosts like sea too?”
“They are selling the appeal of how much fun it is drowning in the sea. And there are also some people that came with dead ex-lovers, trying to scare their new dates or sabotaging their plan to pick one up.”
“The ghosts are hard workers too.” She sweatdropped.
“[Name], come here!!!” Yoru ran to us. “Tori, you too! Mako and Yuzu said they found some hot guys over there. Now it's your and Yae's turn.” She exclaimed excitedly.
“Our turn to do what?” I sweatdropped at her excitement.
“Of course luring hotties.”
“...You asked the wrong person. I don't know how to lure hottie.”
“But you lured Gojo-san.” She stated as if that was a fact. Well, it was a fact but…
“I didn't lure him. You ask Yae, she lured Geto-san.” I passed the hard ball to Yae.
“What are you talking about me luring Suguru-san?” Yae blinked as she came back with drinks.
“They found hotties and wanted us to lure them.” I summed it up.
“Oh? Different people work with different methods. As for Suguru-san, I have to literally plop myself comfily to his lap to gain his attention.” Yae nonchalantly said all of this as she passed me a drink.
“What kind of play you two are playing?” I sighed.
“Why are you guys taking so long?” New friends trio came to get us.
“Hisaki-san and Kurogane-san just need to stand and they will definitely notice you. And leave the rest to us.” Yuzu encouraged. So here we are trying to get into the crowd, all for the sake of catching hotties. ~”~
“...” I wore a deadpan look. “So, you were saying those trash caught your attention?” I raised my brow.
“Of course, they are hotties after all. Look at those muscles and faces. Even though they were covered by sunglasses, I bet they are really handsome.” Yuzu whispered.
'Yeah, they are handsome alright. Even though they are trash.'
“Let Yae show you how to lure this hottie then.” I gestured to Yae who has been eyeing the Dumb from the duo of Dumb and the Dumber. Dumb and Dumber are laying on their back on expensive-looking reclining chairs. Two parasols are situated to block sunlight and in the middle of the chairs is a small round table with exquisite drinks and some books, probably for Dumb to read, because Dumber will get bored within one page.
“He's looking at you!!!!” Niwa whisper-yelled frantically to me. “Oh my gosh, he is gorgeous!!!”
I glance at the Dumber. Dumber, who's wearing black swim trunks and a black high-neck jumper which was not zipped at all, is pulling his sunglasses down to the bridge of his nose, revealing his vibrant weirdly sparkling cerulean eyes. A smirk is also hanging on his lips, he is just shamelessly checking me out. I can feel his stare is burning a hole.
Yae smiles brilliantly and walks to Dumb who is reading a book, but secretly watching Yae anyway. So, Yae took her own advice and made herself comfy in his lap. This makes all the audience's jaws drop at her boldness. Yae literally chucks the book away and settles down on his lap, hands wrapping themselves around his neck, bringing her mouth to his ear. “Hottie, are you free now?”
“...” I looked at them speechless at their charade.
“What will a cutie like you offer to me so I can free up my schedule.” He flirted back.
“Ku-Kurogane-san, how bold!” Sera gasped, her, no all of their eyes widened in disbelief.
“Eh? But I heard Kurogane-san has a boyfriend!!! Is she cheating?!” Makoto blinked rapidly.
“Ah, that…” I exhaled a tired sigh. “It’s fine. Yae’s boyfriend will be super happy-“ Yuzu, Makoto and Sera suddenly gasped and blushed as I feel a shadow towering over me.
“Cutie, give me your number.” He grinned.
“...I have a boyfriend.”
“But you came here without your boyfriend. He must be suck.”
“Yeah, he is.” I agreed.
“Why don't you come with me then, I promise I will treat you better.”
“How exactly?”
“Well, for starters, I won't let you feel alone right now. I will worship the ground you walked on.”
“Very tempting, but there's no food. So, hard pass.”
“Food?” He cocked his brow up. “Of course there will be food. Whatever you want, I will have it up in a minute.”
“I need to ask permission from my boyfriend first.”
“Come on, sweet. Your boyfriend won't know about our secret rendezvous. This will be our secret.” I pulled out my phone from my small purse. (Remember not to leave your valuables in public spaces)
As my phone is connected, Dumber's phone rings. “Your girlfriend might be searching for you.” I pointed out.
“How do you know I have a girlfriend, sweetness? You must be a physics and I love mysteries.” He grinned and ran to pick up his phone. “Hello, love.”
“Where are you right now?”
“Me? I am on a beach.”
“What are you doing there?”
“Just relaxing with Suguru.”
“Oh? The thing is, there is an annoying person hitting on me. What should I do?”
“That's easy, love. Just agree to go with him.”
“You are not going to be jealous?”
“Why should I be jealous, hm? I trust you and him.”
“Well, I might not come home tonight.”
“What a coincidence, I am also not planning to go home tonight.”
“Okay, see you later.”
“Yep, see you later, love.” We hung up at the same time.
“…Their conversation oddly matched, didn’t it?” Yuzu commented.
“…un…un…” The other two nodded their heads.
“More importantly, your boyfriend agreed?!” Makoto’s jaw dropped.
“Yes. He trusts me, he said.” I replied.
“Wow… just wow…” They are speechless now. “Are you two having an open relationship?”
“No. I am only one partner type.” I replied. This got them even more confused.
“Then, be a good girl and step aside for this sister. Unlike you, I am all for it for a fling.” A woman wearing a skimpy swimsuit that barely covers important parts walked past me to Dumber. Dumb and his girlfriend are watching intently for the show now.
'Everyone is really…' I sighed softly.
“What do you think, boy? Rather than picking up a virgin inexperienced girl. You'd rather pick this experienced big sister. Big sister will teach you everything.” The skimpy, sexy dynamite body Obaa-san tried to put her hand on his shoulder. Keyword, tried.
“Does that mean it's 100% guaranteed that he will be infected with some disease after he is done with you then? How scary.” I gasped. “Young man, it's not like I am against your option. But your healthiness and safety always come first.” I shook my head pityingly as if an elder speaking with a child.
“Pfft!” Yae and Dumb are clearly enjoying this, but they tried their hardest to conceal their laughter.
“Don't be jealous of me, little girl. It's just that I am that hard to resist.” She sneered.
“Oh? Well yeah, you are not young anymore, that's why you need to resort to your nakedness. But unlike you, I am still young, my skin is still tight, so I don't need to do anything except stand and someone will hit on me.” I shrugged. I can see Dumber is beaming giddily and didn't pay attention to this Obaa-san.
“You!” She raised her hand.
“What? Are you using violence now? So scary, I guess I need to call on my boyfriend as a backup. You see, I am just a weak girl.” I patted my chest.
“I dare you to call him.” She snarled. “Let him know his slutty girl-” A beach sandal landed perfectly on her face.
“Sorry, my hand slipped.” I blinked innocently as if I was not the one who threw it straight to her face. “I don't like being called names. Please refrain from doing that in the future.”
“You little bitch!!!” She shrieked as she lunged at me. I just dodge to the side and she falls down on her own. Now her pretty swimsuit and face are covered in sand.
“My condolence,” I said flatly. “This one is off-limit because he is with me now. Please go seduce other people.” I smiled refreshingly at her.
“What an interesting woman.” Suddenly there this man came out of nowhere. “Be my woman.” He grabbed my hand.
“???Are you sick in the head?” I frowned. “Please let me go.” I sighed.
“My woman must be feisty.” He smirked which soon turned to a pained expression.
“Don't you dare touch her with your filthy hand.” Satoru hissed as he twisted this sick in the head man's hand and pushed him to the floor.
“You are showing too much skin, love. Are you trying to make me jealous?” He murmured, lips grazing my ear. “Especially what you wore before this one.”
“Are we done with the play now? You are also showing too much skin.” I argued, reminding him why I got into this mess in the first place.
“Jealous [Name] is the cutest.” He grinned and gave me his jumper, carefully helping me slip into it. “This is better.” He zipped it all the way up. It has become a mini dress.
“Who are you?” The sick man glared.
“Her boyfriend.” Satoru rolled his eyes. “If you have a problem. I will be glad to help you out.” He flexed his toned muscle, earning dreamy sighs from people there.
“Show off.” I slapped his back.
“Love, I am showing off for you.” He grinned.
“Geto-san.”
“Here.” Geto threw me another black jumper.
“Wear this.” I shoved it to him.
“Yes, wifey.” He obediently put it on and began to torment that Man A.
“So, how come you are here?” I eyed Geto.
“Well, my cute adorable girlfriend here,” He referred to Yae. “, sent me such a stimulating pic of her in a swimsuit. So, I thought what if some pests decided to covet her? So here I am.”
“...Yae…” I ground my teeth. If Geto got a pic of her. Then Satoru undoubtedly got that embarrassing one of mine.
“Just asking for your boyfriend's opinion of your swimsuit.” She smiled innocently.
“Yae-chan also need to cover up.” Geto gave her his jumper and whisper something to her.
“Get a room.” I groaned.
“You are one to talk.” Yae retorted.
“Wife. I have made sure he won't be doing any bad things again.” Satoru wrapped his hands around my waist and his head on my shoulder, asking to be praised. The man was left groaning on the sand. His face was perfectly rearranged.
“Good boy.” I patted his head and he purred.
“Next time, let me go shopping swimsuits with you. There are a lot of things I need to make sure while you are wearing a swimsuit.” He whispered. His voice is undoubtedly one reserved in private.
“Get a room.” Yae snickered.
“Eh…? Wai… Eeeeehhhhhh????!!!!”
“What kind of situation is this?” New friends trio are having trouble processing.
“Gojo-san and Geto-san are [Name] and Yae's boyfriend respectively.” Tori giggled.
“Eh? Then why did they do that?” Makoto blinked, referring to the charade.
“Because it was fun seducing [Name],” Satoru answered for them, earning an elbow jab at his stomach, courtesy of me.
“The bottom line is, there's no way we will act like this aside to them. If it wasn't Gojo-san who hit on her, [Name] would have undoubtedly ignored them or resorted to violence.” Yae grinned.
“No wonder… no wonder Yoru and Tori didn't want to get involved after seeing them. They even said they were taken already.” Sera said.
“Speaking of them…” Yuzu looked at her friends.
“I got it all recorded. How much are you willing to pay, Gojo-san?” Yoru grinned.
“I will give you Nanamin's exclusive confidential folder.” Satoru grinned.
“Deal.” Yoru and he shook hands.
With the whole fiasco over. We are now joined by Dumb and Dumber who couldn't keep their hands on themselves. ~”~
“[Name], let's go swimsuit shopping tomorrow.” Satoru suddenly whined.
“I already have a swimsuit.” I rolled my eyes as I was being placed on his lap.
“That's for a public beach. Tomorrow, I want a new swimsuit for our private beach.” He hummed.
“Then you go buy yourself.”
“I want to see you in a swimsuit, especially like that one you wore yesterday.” He unlocked his phone and navigated it to a secret folder. “Am planning to have this a lock screen, but you will hit me for sure.” He showed me the picture he got from Yae yesterday. The photo of me in that racy swimsuit. “I almost lost my shit back then.” He groaned half feral.
“Just thinking of you in that kind of racy swimsuit is making my blood boil.” He peppered kisses to my neck.
“Pervert.”
“Yeah, I am your pervert.” He grinned with his half-lidded eyes. “So, will you do it?”
“You will definitely do something to me in the changing room. So, no. I am not fan of voyeurism.”
“I will have those swimsuits sent here. So, there you have it.”
“...As long as I am not wearing it outside.” I conceded because I knew he would pester me for weeks.
“Of course not, love. There's no way I would let you show how delicious you are to other people. It's for my eyes only and will be worn on our private beach.” He grinned. ~”~
The next day row and a row of swimsuits were placed in a spare room, there's only a makeshift changing room and sofa. Satoru is sitting there as if waiting for the show to start. I guess I will indulge him on this occasion. So, I picked up some swimsuits and went to the changing room. Those swimsuits are truly not normal. They are all those racy swimsuits that should not be seen in the public. But here I am trying these. And since I am doing this, I am going to make sure to tease the hell out of him.
The moment I step out of the changing room, I hear a hitch from a certain someone and then a pained groan. “This is not to your taste? Then I will change it.” I grinned as I closed the curtain again.
I did this a few more times, and ultimately, I am trapped inside the changing room with Satoru's hot body pressed against mine. His mouth is doing a workout with mine, my hands being pinned by his large one right above my head, his knee perfectly slotted in between my legs, rubbing against the crotch, and his other hand is busy groping, mapping my whole body. As expected, this is not going to be choosing a swimsuit. ~”~
We did get our vacation on his private beach, wearing a swimsuit of his choosing, he even makes sure to put boundaries around his private property to avoid prying eyes. It's literally a world just for the two of us.
Satoru, being the pervert he is, had chosen the perfect racy swimsuit of all. A cross-wrap halter top with string bottom in the colour of his hair, easier to apply sunscreen, he said. The man actually wanted me to wear a v-string bikini which earned a whack on his head so he settled down with this. And yeah, the applying sunscreen session became a session having me basically naked on the beach carpet with him burying his face in between my legs, the swimsuit is left forgotten to the side. Safe to say, we did no swimming that day.

This is gonna be the wildest hyperfixation blend I’ve come up with BUT hear me out: Set in the basketball au, the gang travels to Britain for a game and after winning decide to stay a few days longer. But - it’s may. And it just happens that they’re right in time for the Coopers Hill Cheese Rolling And Wake event . Gojo (thinking ab it now would he be their coach in this au? ) sees this as a perfect opportunity to celebrate their victory with a potential new one .
While it’s a lot of fun it’s also incredibly dangerous (feel like at least one of them got concussed ) and they end up getting scraped up by Geto after reaching the bottom of the hill . Honestly I do think Toge would win
(Side note Nobara lowkey reminds me of the woman who won the womens league last year despite passing out, and still said she’d come next year again. Legend behavior .)(another note I’m so sorry on my lack of knowledge on sports the only ones I know about are stuff like this. I nevertheless love this au)
Tumblr media
So. Okay. Yeah. Okay.. I can see it, I see it.
So:
a) Shoko is actually the head coach in the basketball au. But I think Gojo was the coach of the men's team before the merge. Either he's on the coaching staff as an assistant of some kind. Or he got a promotion and works in the Athletic Director's office. Or he is the Athletic Director. idk. I think I want Nanami to be the Athletic Director??? Doesn't matter, he's around. And yes, he would suggest something like this.
b) May is definitely in the off season. Which actually makes this somehow more likely. They're in the UK for some exhibition tournament, sure why not. Couldn't do it from like Nov-Mar because they had regular season games and postseason games. Some off-season oversees marketing gimmick is definitely withing the realm of possibility.
Tumblr media
c) This however, is an absolutely insane thing for a sports team to do. Just actively seeking out injuries that could end their season or even their career. Cost them scholarships & opportunities. Risk their teams chances at a winning season, good tournament seeding, championship titles......
and yet
I do think it's something Gojo would suggest, and I do think they would pretty much all do it. Megumi might sit out. Unless Yuuji or Yuuta convinced him. Nobara would get overly competitive with Maki as a backwards flirting attempt. Maki would play along at first, then actually get really competitive back because she hates losing. They would both try to sabotage each other and end up both loosing their footing and tumbling down the hill together.
Yuuji would try to go as fast as possible, lose his footing and absolutely face plant into a rock or a tree (I assume there's not trees on this hill. I hope there are no trees on this hill.) He re-breaks his nose.
Panda would immediately tuck and try and roll down the hill like he is a wheel of cheese, but his cheese would veer off and run into someone else, knocking them out and he would make it to the bottom without his cheese (I'm assuming this disqualifies you?)
Megumi would literally walk.
Yuuta sits out. He wants to give the others a chance to win. He came here last year and absolutely decimated everyone, stayed on his feet, not a scratch on him. But no one else on the current team was on that trip so none of them actually know this, and he doesn't want to dim anyone's shine.
And Toge wins. He just kind of, survives at a decent pace. And the dude is good on his feet, what can you say.
Geto (who is also on the coaching staff) originally thought it was a bad idea (because it is) but honestly thought it would be really funny so didn't put up much of a fight. He helps them all up at the bottom with his charismatic little smile that basically means "you're all idiots, but this was very entertaining, and watching you whine about all your aches and pains on the plane ride home will also be very funny because I will give you so much shit" and then takes Yuuji to the hospital.
This was a very funny, very bizarre scenario, ty for the ask lol

satosugu lesbian roller derby au where they set each other free and learn to let loose thru the power of gay and roller skating ✨ long backstory under cut
main premise:
instead of the main jujutsu families being sorcerers, they’re all prominent professional athletes. gojo’s family made her figure skate her entire life, and as an accomplished world-famous figure skater she would travel a lot for training/competitions/etc. after traveling to a small town to train, she sees the hottest girl she’s ever laid eyes on (geto) ABSOLUTELY SHREDDING IT on some roller skates in an empty parking lot, and spontaneously decides then and there to abandon the ice skating life (that she hates anyway). she goes home, cuts her hair off as her first act of rebellion, and formulates a plan to go pester the hot girl into joining the local roller derby team with her (the most opposite thing to figure skating gojo can think of; also she saw a poster for it somewhere in town and the idea stuck in her head). meanwhile, geto just skates as a hobby but tries to focus on school and being a good kid to her parents (think disney channel’s ice princess), so she needs a lot of convincing to abandon her studies and take up roller derby instead, but gojo eventually wears her down. geto is obviously very repressed lmao. they brush up on their skating, bond, sneak away from their families, join the team (consisting of the other jjk girls, i.e., shoko, utahime, yuki, maki, nobara, etc. the “teachers” would be early college age and the “students” are the same age as canon), and train together to become the strongest :)
other characters:
so, mamagumi doesn’t die in this au so toji is normal. he drives maki to practice because he knows the zenins would fucking hate it and thinks its funny. this is how he gets roped into becoming their coach (he’s a former athlete but his family sabotaged his career and forced him to drop out of competitive skating due to an injury).
gojo also ends up teaching megumi to figure skate, bc she notices how closely megumi watches them skate when toji brings him to practice and realizes megumi obviously wants to follow in his dad’s footsteps as a figure skater.
meanwhile, itadori is there as moral support. sukuna is his evil twin who they all hear about but don’t see much of
nanami and haibara work at a cafe near/at the skating rink where they all practice. gojo makes it her life’s mission to annoy the hell out of nanami but she tips 100% (this also pisses nanami off on principle)
yuta is a figure skater who studied under gojo; rika is his former partner who had to drop out due to injury (yuta feels extremely guilty about this) and he’s now partnered up with toge (also a figure skater, re: the prominent jujutsu clans being pro athlete families).
i literally can’t think of other characters rn so i’ll add to this later

Dramatismo total, te adoroooo, si quieres cambiar algo queda a tu criterio, besos :3
Translations of original request: Super apologies for making the request in Spanish. So, there is a Kate Bush song that I adore "Running up that hill", it talks about a deal with a supreme being, since I read JJK's manga along with this song I can't help but imagine a scenario where the reader realizes that the family that I built with Suguru is dying for an ideal that not even they can properly digest and cannot do anything about it and sacrifices their body and soul for the man they love. AHH I don't know if it can be continued, but, I continue. Obviously, this is intended to give Geto a chance to be happy. And I also imagined that in a dream she said goodbye to him forever and gave him everything that he is as a symbol of her love. Total drama, I adore you, if you want to change something, it's up to you, kisses: 3
One Last Breath: Geto Suguru x Fem!Reader
wc: 1k
tw: so much angst.
masterlist
a/n: changed the time period and setting to make it even more dramatic, because that's just how I roll! Thanks for requesting, love.
You're kneeling at the prayer bench in the small sanctuary, stained glass windows casting colored light upon your face as you pray fervently, lips moving but no sound coming out.
The images of various gods dance upon the floors and create moving pictures of their creations, their love, their sacrifice. And you are stuck in the same boat as these beings, but only because the man you love put you there. "Please." You finish your prayer with that final word. "Please." The bench creaks sordidly as you stand, clutching the elbow rest tightly.
The children would be waking soon, and if you weren't home by then, you would be in trouble. Suguru couldn't be trusted alone with them anymore; it's now a matter of life or death with him. And you're fine with it being between the two of you, but when it came to the girls...
You scrub your thoughts with a shake of the head, feet quickly walking the space between the little chapel and your home. The chill of the mid-winter creeps into your bones, and you regret the lack of something to warm your shoulders, but before you can mourn the numbness in your tendons, you reach the door of your abode. When you push it open, three pairs of eyes meet yours, all huddled around the fire for warmth.
"Sorry," you whisper, shutting the door quickly. "I--"
"My love," Suguru rises from his perch, bringing his little notebook with him. "I've been thinking..." He begins his rambling about his solutions to the problem, his solutions to the continued issue of overwhelming cursed energy, his solution to make the world a safer place for you and your children.
The two girls sitting by the fire look up at you, fear in their eyes as he recounts every detail of his plan, praying you would stop their father from the self-sabotaging path he trod; stop their savior from sacrificing himself on the pyre of destruction.
"What do you think?" Geto pants, finishing his rambling. You notice the thin sheen of sweat building on his brow and your concern mounts.
"I..." The girls press their lips together in tandem, hoping you wouldn't say another word. "I think..."
Please.
"I think--" A gust of wind blows down the chimney, distracting Suguru from your thoughts and startling the children as embers dance across the cobblestones. He drops his notebook to attend to the flames, and you quickly snatch up the book, shoving it into your armpit, hiding it from view.
"I'll go get a few logs," you offer, and Suguru grunts, pushing the chairs a little further away from the fire as the girls sit in them, like the kind and protective father that he truly is. You weasel past the door and into the chilly air, walking towards the back of the house and toward the woodpile Suguru carefully maintained. You pick up two logs and then a third, dropping the notebook into the space made, and covering it up with another log on top of the pile. With the thing hidden, you heft the logs in your arms and walk back into the house, handing them to Suguru and watching as he places them into the fire one by one.
"I should start breakfast," he whispers, and you both work around each other, providing what you can for the little family you've made.

Your fingers tremble as you carry the book to the fire, the pages crinkling as soon as you place it in the flames. The book ignites with a burst of angry fire, snapping and melting as you watch, praying the destruction of this tome would render your family safe.
But you know in your heart it would never be enough.
That fact is solidified in your mind when the door bursts open, and one man strides into the room, his blue eyes snapping to your figure standing at the fireplace.
"Oh, god," you breathe, tears pricking at your eyes. "No."
"Where is he?" Gojo wonders, standing in the open doorway and letting the snow drift into your home. "I have orders--"
"Suguru!" you shout, hands extended as you charge at the man in the doorway. "Get the girls and go!" Footfalls echo behind you and you feel the presence of the second strongest man in all of Jujutsu sorcery stare at the scene before him.
You, with all of your waning cursed energy, can barely hold the man back. But for some reason, he lets you touch him as he stares at his long-lost friend with sadness.
"You have a family," Gojo breathes, and Geto grabs your arm, trying to shove you away from Satoru. "You have children. Why?"
"Why not?" Suguru answers, staring his friend down. "Why not want a better life for my loved ones?"
"You won't get it this way," Satoru chastises. Mimiko and Nanako shrink in the doorway of their rooms, and you realize your only option to buy them time is inside of you. You have one last wild card, one last way to save your family, but you hadn't considered using it until now.
"Suguru," you bite out. "You need to leave."
"He's only leaving with me," Gojo answers for him, blue eyes still focused on his old friend. "There's no way you escape this."
"Listen to me," you beg the raven-haired man. "You need to get the girls and go."
"What about you?"
"I'll catch up." You both know you won't, but as the stripe on your chest begins to bleed, you raise your hands into a fighting position. "Just run as far and as fast as you can."
_____________________________________________________________
The fight is over before it's really even started. You lay against the brick of the fireplace, blood draining from your mouth in a pool beneath your head.
"Did I... at least... buy them... some time?" you choke out, blood splattering on the sleeve of the man who is propping you up against the wall.
"Enough time," he mutters, swiping at your chin with a rag from the table. "Might have even saved them if Su gives this whole thing up." You exhale shakily, closing your eyes slowly then reopening them. The sapphire eyes are the last thing you see before you drift off into the Between, your final breath spent with one last prayer:
"Please."

Rather peculiar question but do you think anyone in JJK cares about Gojo personally? I find it interesting how he's perceived by his comrades all around, which usually stems from annoyance, irritation or just mere tolerance. Besides Geto of course which is another reason why i think Gojo only works well when Geto is next to him but i think their relationship as a whole doesn't just tie to them realizing each other's strength but like .... they just clicked you know?
That's a hard question to answer but I'll do by best. I wrote another meta about how Gojo deliberately avoids attachment, so Gojo himself makes it difficult for people to get close to him so they can form that kind of personal connection.
If Gojo forms personal connections with anyone, it would be his students. Gojo is at his best when he is acting on his ideals of protecting the youth, and promoting the next generation to surpass the previous one, unlike the elders who will ruin the lives of young people to stay in power. Gojo also is someone who was deeply traumatized in his adolescent years, both by the loss of Riko, and then Geto a year later, so it makes sense Geto who in some way still acts emotionally immature would have a stronger connection to the children he's trying to nurture than his adult peers.

Briefly touching upon his adult relationships, Gojo harasses Ijichi regularly, Nanami has stated he doesn't like him personally in different words, Mei Mei doesn't care about anything but money. Apparently according to an interview from Gege, Gojo doesn't know that Utahime doesn't like him he just thinks they're joking around. Which leaves Shoko, and Gege also stated in either an interview or the databook that Shoko is neutral between Gojo and the elders but will do favors for Gojo when she comes to him, which seems like a more businesslike relationship than anything. Shoko once smokes in the Shibuya arc and mentions she feels nostalgiac for the old days, so maybe she feels towards the three of them as a group of a whole more than Gojo personally.
However, once again I think Gojo's own behavior sabotages his attempts to get close to them. Gege mentioned in an interview that part of the reason why Gojo saved Yuta was because "He was strong", which implies that if Yuta wasn't strong or didn't have the strong potential he would not have stuck his neck out for him.

When Gojo helps out Megumi, it's with the caveat that he becomes a sorcerer, and works hard for Gojo's cause. He's not helping Megumi out of the goodness of his heart. Megumi's a potential strong ally. Gojo brings up that if Megumi doesn't take his offer, that both him and his sister will be taken in by the Zenin family, and his sister will be miserable. If Megumi had turned him down and didn't want him to be a sorcerer, he would have just let the awful Zenin family take them.

This is because on the flip side of Gojo's good intentions to protect the youth. He is also planning on raising them up as allies to his cause. He's being pragmatic about it, he's educating them and reaching out to them, for the purpose of getting allies on his side. Whenever he reaches out towards these kids he's getting something from them. Which is why a lot of them rather than forming personal relationsips with him feel indebted to him.
I'd argue that at least some of the kids personally care about Gojo as a mentor, or see him more than a "strong guy" or "a guy I owe." The more sincere ones like Yuta and Yuji who can't help forming connections with whoever they meet definitely do. Asproof of this, Yuta decides to shoulder the burdne of killing Kenjaku and raising four hundred points all on his own so Gojo doesn't have to go through the pain of killing his best friend a second time. If that isn't caring for someone personally, then I don't know what is.
