Gintoki panted, his bokuto held tightly in his hand as he waited for his opponent to make a move.
The man leisurely held his gun at his side, putting Gintoki on edge. Gintoki had never cared for guns, certainly not like Sakamoto had. They had all been up against too many gunmen to count during the war, barely escaping with their lives until they learned how to use the enemy's large numbers to their favour.
Against a single armed opponent, though, Gintoki could feel the tension in his every muscle. With a sharp inhale, Gintoki ran towards the man, his sword raised and ready to strike.
He feinted to one side before swiftly striking from another, but before he could make contact with his target, the man had dodged the strike. He brought his gun up to aim at Gintoki and fired.
The sound of the trigger being pulled echoed in Gintoki's ears. He stumbled as he tried to sidestep the beam of light coming towards him, bringing his bokuto up uselessly as it followed his descent and pierced through Gintoki's heart.
Gintoki jerked at the impact and looked down at where it had hit him only to find unmarred skin. He pressed his fingers over his erratically beating heart but couldn't find anything out of place. He briefly wondered if adrenaline was making him think he was unhurt (it wouldn't be the first time anyway), but he couldn't be sure.
Deciding it a problem for later, Gintoki lifted his head to look at his opponent with nerves alight, but the place the nameless man had been occupying moments ago was empty.
A few seconds later, Gintoki slowly got to his feet and carefully looked at his surroundings, getting ready for a surprise attack at any moment. It didn't come.
He breathed for a few moments, his fingers still tense around his bokuto. Once Gintoki's breathing slowed to normal levels, he made his way home, his taut muscles unable to relax.
As he walked, his hand found its way once again over where Gintoki knew he should've had a wound, but inexplicably didn't. It stayed there until Gintoki saw the two familiar signs outside his home.
Climbing up the stairs to the Yorozuya office didn't help alleviate the feelings in Gintoki's chest of something being wrong. But, being unable to find an explanation and feeling uncomfortable with the sweat from the battle sticking to his skin, Gintoki pushed the thoughts away and slid the door open.
Once inside, Gintoki greeted Kagura, who was sitting on the couch watching TV with a napping Sadaharu at her feet. He didn't receive an answer, but that was normal; the young girl was too often engrossed in the screen. He wondered where she could have gotten this habit from as he shut the bathroom door behind him.
Absentmindedly, Gintoki prepared the tub with warm water. The sound of running water that filled the room was loud. Too loud. Gintoki frowned slightly when his ears started to ring alongside it.
It was suddenly too hot in the small bathroom and the thought that he had accidentally turned on the hot water instead crossed Gintoki's mind. Gintoki submerged his fingers into the water to check, but immediately pulled his hand back, staring at it as it started to tremble.
With his heart beating loudly and the rushing water even louder, Gintoki quickly turned the faucet off and took a step back. Images he didn't want to see, memories he didn't want to remember assaulted his mind and Gintoki clenched his eyes shut to try and escape them.
Gintoki took a few unsteady steps until his back met with the wall and he slid to sit on the floor heavily. He tried to calm his breathing, but as more and more memories dashed in front of his eyes, he found himself panicking.
Frustration surged weakly through Gintoki's body for a moment; he thought he was finally getting better, he hadn't had an episode in over four months. So, why now?
Why now?
That beam of light the man had hit him with suddenly crossed Gintoki's muddled mind. Was this his doing?
But... he couldn't have known. Then how...?
Memories of drowning and being held in place warred against Gintoki's many questions. In the end, Gintoki was left spluttering as phantom dirty water filled his throat, no answers to be found.
Gintoki started coughing hard to get rid of what wasn't there, bringing up only saliva and whatever couple of bites he had sneaked from downstairs for breakfast.
He cracked open red rimmed eyes to see the room around him sway and darken, dangerously resembling the place Gintoki found himself in in his worst nightmares, and closed them again.
Gintoki didn't pay any attention as the door beside him cracked open, he could barely hear the voice speaking to him over the blood rushing to his ears. A gentle hand laid itself on Gintoki's thigh and he flinched, his breath hitching.
So many hands. Rough and forceful. Holding him down. Holding him under. Did they ever let go?
Gintoki's lungs seized painfully, expelling nothing. He brought his hands up to claw at his throat, but they were seized firmly and he weakly pulled at them, unable to break the hold in his panic.
"Gintoki, open your eyes." The voice finally broke through the haze encompassing Gintoki's mind, making him freeze.
Carefully, Gintoki obeyed, darkness making way to familiar gray folds. Gintoki lifted his blurry eyes to see Otose's gentle face looking down at him, her gaze containing a softness Gintoki had become intimately familiar with over the years.
That was what made him come undone in the end. Gintoki's arms shook in Otose's hold, his face ducking to let the tears finally flow down freely.
As soon as the older woman let go of his arms, Gintoki surged forward to embrace her, his head buried in her shoulder, making a mess of her kimono. Otose didn't find it in her heart to scold him as she hugged him back.
Soon after, Kagura hesitantly joined the two on the bathroom floor, rubbing small circles on Gintoki's back. They stayed in that position for a little longer even after Gintoki's tears had stopped choking him.
With a hand on Gintoki's back, Otose helped him stand and led him out of the bathroom. On the way out, Gintoki glanced at the still full bathtub before ripping his eyes away.
Otose could feel Gintoki shudder under her hands, but she didn't ask. She knew Gintoki was too stubborn to say what was bothering him— even with how much he would complain about any little insignificant thing every day.
Together with Kagura, the two sat Gintoki on the couch, the TV long ago turned off. Sadaharu waddled to sit by Gintoki's feet protectively, sensing the distress still thrumming weakly under Gintoki's skin.
Otose sent Kagura to the kitchen to get something for Gintoki to drink, and by the time the young girl came out again with a carton of strawberry milk, Otose had sat down next to Gintoki; a handkerchief in her hand that she was using to dab softly on Gintoki's damp skin.
The older woman watched as Gintoki's eyes regained and lost their focus over and over as she gently wiped the sweat off his face, and she remembered a similar situation from a few years ago, when Gintoki had first come to live with her; Still much too skinny for Otose's liking and with too many bruises that had yet to fade, that Gintoki had yet to learn how to hide from her.
It had been a mild evening, the last customer having left not twenty minutes earlier when Gintoki had come rushing in through the back door. He had been soaking wet, heavy strands of hair falling over blown wide eyes, a towel clumsily wrapped around his middle.
Otose was momentarily startled but she was quick to shake it off and go to his side, questions of what was wrong already falling from her lips as Gintoki tensely stood in the doorway.
Her words halted instantly when Gintoki brought a shaking hand to grasp firmly at Otose's sleeve, his head bowed. He wasn't that much taller than her back then, and looking at his pitiful state, Otose sighed softly and guided Gintoki back to his room with a few soothing words.
She grabbed another towel on the way and helped him dry off completely before she sat down in front of him with a sad smile on her face, silently keeping Gintoki company as she waited for him to calm down.
The next day, neither of them brought up what had happened, but the vulnerable and grateful look Gintoki had given her that night stayed with Otose even after all these years.
Now, the older woman watched as Gintoki's eyes slowly cleared, how he tentatively reached for the carton to take a sip. She smiled when Gintoki pet Sadaharu softly, tenderness and amusement visible on her expression as Kagura started complaining of being left out, effectively pulling Gintoki into one of their usual bickering matches.
Watching the scene with fond eyes, Otose couldn't help but wonder what hardships the young man she had come to consider her son had lived through. She doubted she would ever know, but she knew she would be there for Gintoki when they came back to haunt him until she could no longer.

Gintoki x f!reader
Talk 4. apologise (nsfw)
warnings: oral (giving), fingering, vaginal penetration, unprotected intercourse (pls don’t do this)
You walked into the Yorozuya’s office with your eyes glued to your phone screen, heading to the couch where Gintoki was quietly snoring with a Shonen Jump magazine on his face. You absentmindedly stumbled forward, still occupied with reading when you suddenly bumped against the little table, hurting your toe, and knocking over the half empty strawberry milk carton standing there, spilling its contents. “Fuck…” you mumbled quietly under your breath, rubbing your foot and side eying Gintoki who just started moving. The magazine slid down and fell right into the strawberry milk puddle. Gintoki jumped on his feet, a painful scream escaping his throat as if someone had just stabbed him. You sighted and said, “Oh, come on! I’ll clean it up, so calm down.” You turned around, heading for the kitchen to get a towel. “What is cleaning up gonna do?! You spilled my last strawberry milk!” you came back, fished the drained magazine out of the puddle and quickly cleaned everything up. “See, all done,” you told him, hoping the issue would be resolved. Of course, not. Gintoki let himself fall on the couch, pouting, and pretending you just did something inexcusable. You rolled your eyes at Gintoki’s childish behaviour but decided to appease him with something you were in the mood for since this morning. You leaned forward, your hands on his thighs, whispering in his ear, “I’m sorry… how about I make it up to you?” You had never seen Gintoki’s expression change so fast, his eyes scanning yours with curiosity. “And how?” he asked you, trying to sound nonchalant. “Hmm... how about you lean back and let me… take care of you?” you answered as one of your hands caressed over his thigh slowly wandering closer to his crotch. Gintoki’s reaction was as expected. He wouldn’t refuse an offer like this and leaned back, still not able to fully grasp his luck. You got down on your knees, positioning yourself between his legs as your hands slowly found their way to his belt, opening it. Gintoki observed every move you made closely and enjoyed the view of you between his legs. You opened his pants and freed his already hard member. His hand caressed softly over your hair as you ran your tongue along the underside of his shaft. Gintoki groaned as you engulfed the tip with your hot mouth while stroking him slowly with your hand. You looked up to him, studying his reactions. You hummed contently when you saw him throwing back his head, eyes closed and biting his bottom lip. Your hum sent vibrations through his cock and made him bite back a moan. You were about to pick up the pace when Gintoki suddenly stopped you, pushing you off of his cock and pulling you up on your feet. He impatiently fumbled on your clothes, almost ripping them off of you before pulling you on his lap. His hands roamed over your body, squeezing your ass, and inserting one finger inside your wet heat, making you whimper. Your arms were wrapped around his neck, one hand tangled into his hair. Your lips traced over his neck as you ground yourself against his finger, desperate for more friction, but Gintoki quickly withdrew his finger, drawing a whine from you. He pulled you closer, nudging the head of his cock against your folds and sank you down onto his cock. The sensation of him entering you made you exhale sharply. Gintoki held you at your hips, rutting you up and down on his cock as his nails bore deeper into your soft flesh with every thrust. You felt your high coming closer when Gintoki nuzzled his face into the nape of your neck and picked up the pace. Your whole body tensed up, making you grab a fistful of his hair. You arched your back as you felt waves of pleasure rippling through your body. He slammed your hips down one last time and spilled his seed deep inside you with a low grunt. You rested your head on his shoulder as your breaths calmed down. “You still have to buy me a new Jump magazine though; I was not done reading,” Gintoki purred into your ear. You chuckled exhausted and smacked his arm.

Happy Birthday Gin-san!
One-Shot about Gintoki's 30th birthday. Tsukuyo has a special present for the clueless Gintoki.  The setting of the fic is an already lightly romantic established GinTsu relationship. They already had some kind of romantic encounters, but it was never quite enough for anyone to make a first move. Basically all of them could be seen as „Well, that was awkward, but we are friends so it’s funny.“
Genre: Fluff, First Kiss Stuff
Rating: General Audience
Word Count: 1,960
"Gin-chan, wake up! wake up!"
Kagura's scream echoed through the Yorozuya banged on his door before tearing it open with an ugly sound.
"You're an old man now, no more sleeping in late" She continued to scream with full volume.
"Shut up!" Gintoki screamed back and opened his eyes. He sure felt like an old man already. His life was okay now, after the ending of the canon material. But something was missing, but he also didn't care enough to find out what exactly was missing.
Kagura brought in a birthday cake with 3 sloppily placed candles, topped with one single strawberry. Gintoki frowned looking at the candles.
"I'm 30, not 3." He blurted.
"Yes yes, right. You're so old, I need to use one candle for 10 years, that's how old you are!" She explained to him. Gintoki snorted.
"Why are you so happy so early in the morning?!"
"Here, eat up or mommys gonna be pissed!"
She ignored his bad mood and lifted the fork, forcing the cake in his mouth.
"Ah Kagura stop that, I can eat myself." He picked the fork out of her hand and grumpily ate the cake, sharing it with her. To be exact, Kagura shared with him. She ate most of the cake.
"We're gonna have a party today, yes we will!" She announced.
He groaned in disapproval, a party was the last thing he wanted.
"Zura and Elisabeth are coming, that weird space guy, Shinpachi of course, Gorilla boss lady, -"
"How many people did you invite?!" He interrupted her.
"Mayofreak, Gorilla, that sadistic assface" She ended her list.
"Did you invite the whole Shinsengumi?!"
"Yes of course! It's a special occasion after all!"
"Who's gonna pay for that?!"
"You don't need to pay, don't worry. It's your birthday!"
She happily jumped to her feet, snatching the plate from his hands, on her way to leave his room.
"Thank you, Kagura" Gintoki mumbled. She turned around and smiled.
He laid down again and sighed.
Just forget my birthday already, no one cares about that.
"No more sleeping! Get up now!" Kagura screamed from outside.
Angrily mumbling Gintoki crawled out of his futon and prepared himself for the shitty day.
---------------  x ---------------
The Yorozuya office was packed.
Every possible sitting space was occupied, the room filled with familiar faces. The mood was exuberant, but Gintoki still didn't warm up to the idea of the party.
All guests had arrived by now and the alcohol rose to everyone's head, while Gintoki tried to keep the excitement down. They tried to toast on his birthday several times, but he always denied it, frantically searching for excuses.
Once, he spurted over to the kitchen, pretending that he left the stove on.
Another time, he feigned to be asleep on the couch.
There was no reason for a celebration. There never was.
Katsura had just spilled his third beer all over the floor and Gintoki was kneeling down, searching for some napkins in a drawer, when suddenly the shoji door opened and another trio entered the room. "Hey Tsukki, Hinowa, Seita!" Kagura shouted happily.
Gintoki's heart stumbled. He abruptly lifted his head, banging his head against the drawer. Rubbing his back of the head, he stood up straight and faced the new guests.
Kagura didn't tell me they were coming as well..
"Tsukki…,what are you doing here?" He asked nervously
"Gin-san, Happy Birthday!"
Hinowa said with a singing voice, reaching for his hand to press it lightly, shaking it excitedly.
"Here, we have a present for you!" Seita hugged him turbulently with a small package in his hands, giving it to him with a big smile.
"It's ya birthday, are we not invited?" Tsukuyo mumbled, arms crossed in front of her chest, averting her eyes, Kiseru in her mouth.
Hinowa slightly pushed in Tsukuyos ribs.
"Don't you-?"
She whispered and Tsukuyo blushed slightly before she eyed Gintoki.
Confused, he tilted his head, Seita still jumping around in front of him.
Tsukuyo sighed, closed the few steps between them, walked around Seita and spread out her arms, wrapping them around Gintoki.
He was baffled.
Hugs? Since when does she give out hugs?
"Happy Birthday" She mumbled incomprehensibly.
Tsukuyo hugged him tight, a little too tight. He could feel her arms cramping around him and her heart racing against his. Well, that's awkward. Gintoki felt his heart speed up as well.
"Oi oi, not so unruly, you're almost assaulting me" He laughed nervously.
She tensed up, let out an angry sound and smashed him to the ground, pressing the air out of his lungs.
"That's a nice present, did not expect anything else from you.." He mumbled, lying exhausted on his back.
Tsukuyo was standing over him, her face beet red.
"Tsukki, are you okay? Are you sick?" Kagura shouted from her seat on the couch.
"'s fine" She blurted.
"Oi, why does no one care about me? It's my birthday and I just got crashed into the damn floor" Gintoki grumbled.
"You're fine." Kagura simply replied.
"Nothing new" Shinpachi shouted from the other side. Hinowa smiled happily.
"Oi, why are you happy? Why are you happy?!"
---------------  x ---------------
The evening had gone by mostly uneventfully. Katsura had tried to battle everyone in a game of uno, but he failed miserably, losing every single time. The now close to tears samurai was comforted by Elisabeth in one corner of the room.
"This never happens to me, I'm so good at this game!" He cried in his sleeve.
Elisabeth held up a sign: You're the best player!
Tatsumas laughter repeatedly echoed through the room. It was the most annoying sound of the evening. Gintoki had the strong urge to kick his head in.
"Kintoki, drink something with me!" He called out to him, completely wasted.
"It's Gintoki, can't ya at least get it correctly on my birthday?!" Gintoki hadn't touched a single drop. He still didn't feel like celebrating.
The Shinsengumi members happily drank in their own little round and were joined by Hinowa, Kagura and Shinpachi. Seita played on his new TS. unbothered by the commotion around him. Otae and Kyuubei sat on his table, sharing some food, leaving Gintoki and Tsukuyo alone.
"So.. how are ya" Gintoki started after some minutes of silence between them.
"Whaddaya mean?" She replied uninterested, smoking her kiseru.
"I asked about your well-being , what do you not understand?"
"Why are ya asking, you never ask that" She simply replied.
"Fine, I won't do it again." Offended, Gintoki crossed his arms in front of his chest.
He glanced over to her, their eyes met and both of them turned away, slightly blushing.
Hinowa turned her attention to Tsukuyo, noticing the thick tension between them.
"Tell him how you are, it's not that hard." She chuckled, slightly drunk and continued talking to Kondo with great interest. Hinowa had recently started to bond with him, much to her disapproval. She didn't want the police involved in Yoshiwaras business.
Tsukuyo huffed.
"'s fine, I guess." She finally replied to his question.
"Ah.. I see."
"and how is it?"
"How is what?"
"Being old." She grimaced maliciously.
Gintoki scoffed. "It's not that different from yesterday, it's just one day later."
"okay.."
"I don't know.. lonely" He continued.
"You don't have to be lonely," Tsukuyo said, still looking in another direction.
"..what do you mean?" Gintoki turned in her direction.
"I urr I.. I mean..you have Kagura and Shinpachi.. you're not alone"
Gintoki paused.
"Yea right, I'm not alone, but still lonely"
"That's not true, Gintoki."
"Sooner or later Kagura will move out, Shinpachi will find a girlfriend, and they will be living their own lives. I'll be a single left alone dad by then. Maybe I should buy myself a woman in Yoshiwara.." His thoughts trailed off.
"Ya couldn't afford that anyways. Besides.. I'm sure there's someone for you" Tsukuyo's voice got lower with the progression of her sentence.
"Really? Who is it, is she hot? Does she have big boobs? Please tell me she's not from the Hyakka"
"..kind of"
"Tell me, who is it?" He was invested now.
"Well..-"
"Tsukki, don't you still have another present?" Tsukuyo jumped at Hinowas interruption.
"No I don't. It's already late, let's go home." Tsukuyo answered quickly and she stood up hastily, leaving the disappointed Gintoki behind.
"Okay, if you say so."
Seita helped Hinowa and they said their goodbyes, walking to the front door. Gintoki stood up as well and accompanied them to the exit like a good host.
"You can tell me Tsukki, I won't tell anyone!"
But she just ignored him. He gave up.
"Thanks for coming, hope you enjoyed it." He said politely.
"Oh Gin-san of course we did! It's always pleasant to be around both of you !" Hinowas smiled.
Gintoki was confused "Why do you say 'both of you' so weird?"
Hinowa didn't reply and Tsukuyo pushed her to the door. Halfway, she stopped and turned around, facing the in the door leaning Gintoki.
"Gintoki..I .. I actually have another present for you" She started quietly.
Hinowas gasped slightly.
"She's gonna do it!" She whispered to Seita.
"Eh? I don't need presents, I thought I already said that." Gintoki waved his hand dismissively.
"It's just.. something small."
"uh.. okay?"
"you jus..just need to come a bit closer."
"You're scaring me."
"Or I can just come to you.."
Tsukuyo carefully walked back, stopping right in front of him at a very short distance. Sweat formed on his forehead.
"Close your eyes." She whispered.
He did.
Gintoki felt her small hands on his, turning his palm around, laying her hand in his. But there was nothing in her hand.
There's nothing there, What could it be? -
That's when she kissed him. No warning, no preparations. She just kissed him then and there in the doorway, right on the lips, in full view of everyone.
Gintoki forgot to think at all.
Her warm soft lips on his spread a fire in his body, crawling under his skin, burning the hands that were covered by her soft fingers.
One second.
The whole room went silent, Tatsumas laughter died.
If you listened carefully enough, you could've heard a feather falling to the wooden floor.
Two seconds.
Gintoki's head started to spin. His eyes opened slightly and he saw her face through his lashes.
Three seconds.
That was over the limit of an accidental kiss.
It was not a shy kiss,
it was brisk,
setting a complete new point in their relationship.
Her feathery touch on his hand tightened, sending a shiver that traveled down his spine, making his heart beat painfully fast.
Gintoki slightly opened his lips, about to return the kiss, but she retreated, her face tinted in a shade of red he had never seen before.
Tsukuyo smiled lovingly and lifted a finger, brushing it over his open mouth, caressing his lips.
"Happy Birthday"
She whispered and turned around on her heels, hooking the excited chattering Hinowa into her arms and quickly excited through the front door.
Gintoki just stood there, dumbfounded, unable to move.
The kiss wasn't that long, and it certainly wasn't a scene from a shoujo manga with a great backdrop, exciting atmosphere and a big buildup, but it was wonderful.
Nothing else was able to reach his mind in this moment, he only knew he would remember it forever.
Several minutes went by.
Still, no one had said a word.
Everyone stared at him and Gintoki stared at the door where he had last seen her.
“ehh.. Gin-san..? Is everything ok?" Shinpachi asked carefully, the sounds slowly returning to the room.
Gintoki's fingers slowly lifted up to touch his lips, her sweet taste still lingering on them.
“what…?" ..did just happen?

In a world where being a legendary Pokémons can be boring, the legendary Pokémons decides to have a little bit of funs. Shenanigans ensue.
Aka the legendary Pokémons decides to become humans, and of course they happen to be our favorite DHs.

Snowed In
Category: Romantic Fluff
Fandom: Gintama
Characters: Tae Shimura, Toshiro Hijikata
Requested By: 8579 (FanFiction)
“Good-bye, everyone! See you tomorrow!” Tae called cheerfully in the threshold of the door to the cabaret club while bundling her scarf about her neck. Her coworkers, and quite a few men in various degrees of inebriation, responded with resounding farewells as she finished tugging on her mittens and finally exited her workplace. As she inhaled, the cold, winter night air rushed up into her nasal passages; it tickled the sensitive membranes and caused her to sneeze. Frowning, she rubbed the underside of her nose with the edge of the mittens and shivered. “It’s freezing tonight… I had better get home quick!” she muttered to herself before starting a brisk pace for home.
A thin layer of snow crusted over the dirt streets. It crunched under the soles of Tae’s sandals like half-melted shaved ice as she trundled along the street. Every few seconds, a powerful breeze would howl down from the sky to blast through the Edo roads, striking Tae with enough fierceness to send her tumbling back. She hadn’t even rounded the block before she had tugged her scarf up over her mouth and nose and had her hands buried under her armpits. The thin curves of her round cheeks peeking above the knitted fabric were a blistering red, burning from the relentless bits of the ice-laden wind. The breath that leaked out of the knotted fibers fogged before her before being whipped away by the gales. Maybe I should have just waited out the storm at work. The weather forecast didn’t predict a blizzard or anything! She lamented as she continued her miserable trudge. The snow had already piled up around her ankles.
She yelped aloud as a particularly buffeting burst of wind knocked her a few paces back. The soles of her sandals slid over the slick, ice-encrusted sidewalk. She pinwheeled and cried out as she lost her balance; Tae then tipped backward with a final squeal and landed on her rump in the powdery stuff. A shiver crawled up her spine as the cold bit into her behind with thousands of pin-like teeth. The bottom half of her kimono eagerly soaked up the wetness of the snow, spreading even more of the jarring cold over her skin. She hastily- but carefully- clambered to her feet and shivered when the wind resumed its attack on her with gusto. Her normally kempt brown hair had been wrenched from her bun to flap erratically around her flushed, chapping face. The wind was shrieking with a fervor now, swirling the snow around wildly. She squinted into the maelstrom, but all she could see was white.
“Oh no,” she whimpered and bundled her sodden clothes as tightly as she could around her shuddering body. Home was a long, cold walk, but the way she came was a long, cold walk too. What she wouldn’t give for a deus ex machina to rescue her from this dismal situation. A gleaming knight in shining armor astride a gallant steed to spirit her away to a warm hearth and hot meal…
“You’ve gotten yourself into quite the mess, haven’t you, cabaret girl?” Tae’s expression curled into something ghastly and horrid at the sarcastic voice floating upon the wind. It was less a gentle knight, and more a scheming gremlin crawling out of a nasty sewer. She glanced over her shoulder to see a simple wooden gate, squeaking as the wind lobbed it back and forth. Beyond that was a simple stone pathway mostly buried by the piling snow leading up to the wooden porch of a spacious house. Beyond that stood one Toshiro Hijikata, leaning in the threshold of his doorway, taking a drag from a cigarette and eyeing the girl with critical black eyes. “Hey, hey, hey, hey!” he protested angrily as she promptly began stomping down the sidewalk again.
“What?” She looked back to see that he had stumbled across his porch and had one hand wrapped around the support beam. The burning end of the bud clenched in his teeth glowed a burnt umber, casting orange light over his face. His scowl deepened when she acknowledged him. Tae’s eyebrow crept up when he rubbed the back of his neck and looked away, with what she saw was the faint hint of a blush burning over his cheeks.
“… J-just get inside, dammit! There’s no sense in you walking around in a damn blizzard!” he barked at her. His face shone a rosy pink when he glared back at her. Tae gawked at him, admittedly suspicious. It wasn’t that she had anything against Toshiro, and it was much better than stumbling up to a stranger’s house begging for reprieve. However, he was a leading officer in the Shinsengumi and had historically had it out for the Yorozuya, even if the world nearly ending twice had mellowed him out a bit. Unsure, she mulled about on the sidewalk, prompting a vein to bulge out on his forehead. “What’s the problem? Don’t tell me you’ve frozen to the street.”
“Oh, hush, you!” she scolded and bundled her wet kimono about her thighs. There was nothing for it, and she knew that; this was as good as an invitation for hospitality she was going to get, and she ought to take it. Even if it’s this grumpy bastard, she thought snootily. Still holding her dripping wet kimono, she cautiously crept her way over the frozen ground of his yard before arriving at the porch. She kept her gaze on her toes the entire time, carefully selecting her footholds; when the ice-encrusted wood of the first porch step came into view, she gasped as a hand also appeared in her field of vision. She looked up at Toshiro with pink cheeks. He was clenching the cigarette tightly in his teeth and looking at her through his peripheral vision. As she hesitated, he shook his hand insistently.
“Come on, cabaret girl; I’m freezing my ass off.”
“My name is not ‘cabaret girl’! It’s Tae!” He winced when she grabbed his hand and squeezed it with much more force than necessary. Recognizing it as karma for his foulness, he swallowed the insult with grace and eased her up the porch. He released her hand once she was secure on the wood, but a deep part of Tae lamented the loss of his fingers enclosed around hers. She had felt them even with the woolen fabric of her mittens. His warmth still burned on her fingertips, fighting a valiant battle against the numbing cold that had invaded her nerves. Toshiro simply muttered “come on” and disappeared behind the screen of his front door. Rubbing her tingling fingertips with her opposite hand, Tae lingered a moment on the porch.
Have I possibly gotten myself into an even bigger mess?
The wind and snow had not an answer, only promises of more biting cold. Tae quickly bundled herself into the house.
Tae’s brown eyes were wide as she stalled in the entryway. From there, she could see most of everything, and she was impressed to find it an elegant and tidy abode. It was almost so neat and tidy, actually, that it was unsettling; it looked more like a house on the market than a proper residence, as Toshiro had very few personal possessions. Only the necessities abounded, like various articles of furniture, an outfitted kitchen, and a kotatsu table in the living room. She could not see his bedroom from her vantage point, but she wouldn’t be shocked to find it barren aside from a futon.
Just as Tae slipped out of her sandals, Toshiro came strolling around the corner, holding a bundle of cloth. Tae ogled at it in befuddlement, then slowly shifted her gaze up to him. He had that pink tint to his face again and was rubbing awkwardly at the base of his neck.
“You shouldn’t walk around wearing those wet clothes, so… Here,” he brusquely grunted and thrust the black fabric into her hands. It was then that Tae realized that he was handing her a kimono- one of his kimonos, to be exact. If she was cold before, that was no longer so, for a heated flush bloomed over her body from her head to her toes. An argument simmered on the tip of her tongue, but when she glanced down to find ice-cold water puddling around her feet, she reconciled with the fact that she would have to change into Toshiro’s clothes. He continued scrubbing at the base of his neck and gestured down the hall. “The uh… restroom is down that way…” he grumbled. Tae dipped her head respectfully and scurried off to get changed.
She could feel his gaze on her the entire time she shuffled down the hall, right up until the moment she flipped on the light and shut the door behind her.
She placed a hand over her heart to find its pace hammering. Why am I getting so flustered? It’s just Hijikata! She gulped, immediately realizing the folly of that statement. Toshiro Hijikata was a regular topic of conversation at the cabaret club, even more than he was a frequent visitor with the rest of the Shinsengumi. It was little wonder, of course, because the man was undeniably attractive. Even Tae couldn’t contradict it; luscious black hair, chiseled features, a high position in a steady job, and a bad-boy attitude? He was every girl’s fantasy. Of course, Tae knew the man much more personally than the rest of the cabaret girls; his foul manner could be quite grating. Still… He invited me into his home, and he loaned me his clothes, she thought while hugging the kimono to her chest. She could not help the tiny little smile that graced her chilled lips.
She might as well make the story as riveting as she could for when she recounted it to her coworkers tomorrow morning.
She peeled her kimono from her body, and it slipped to the floor with a wet slap! As she drew Toshiro’s black robe over her arms, she caught the faint whiff of cigarette smoke and enticing cologne. One would think the pungent aromas would make her hack and cough, but Tae found the scent oddly pleasant. She secured the sash around her middle, then frowned when she noticed how loosely the fabric hung from her small frame. She could solve the problem of the too-long sleeves just fine by rolling them up, but every few seconds, the cloth would slip from her shoulders and expose just a bit too much of the curves of her chest. I’ll have to be careful not to flash him like a common harlot, she thought with a click of her tongue as she held the baggy cloth to her chest and bent over to pluck her soiled clothes from the wood floor. There was a small puddle of water glistening on the polished surface, though the kimono had only been sitting there amount a minute. The bunched cloth was heavy in Tae’s hand. Tucking it underneath her arm, she turned and opened the sliding door-
and was greeted by a surprised Toshiro, who was holding his fist up mid-knock.
As she jumped, he flushed a pink color and stepped back from the door. “S-sorry…” An awkward silence descended between them, so she meekly held out the wet clothing.
“Is there somewhere I can hang this to dry?” He led her to his laundry room, where she laid her kimono over a drying rack. They migrated back to his living room, where they sat at opposite ends of the kotatsu table. He had prepared some hot tea while she was changing and had already poured her a cup. Tae took it with both her hands, appreciating the way the warmth blossomed across her cold palms. Toshiro lit up a cigarette and took a long drag, then exhaled the smoke between them. Tae watched disconcertedly as the thin white-gray wisps slowly rose to the ceiling before dispersing against the support beams. “… Thank you. It was very kind of you to invite me inside,” she said finally with a dip of her head. Toshiro regarded her with lidded black eyes.
“What was I supposed to do? Let you freeze to death?” he grunted, his gaze falling to his own cup of tea, which he had not touched. “I’d have no reason to visit the cabaret club anymore.”
They simultaneously blushed. Tae’s head snapped up to stare at him disbelievingly, but he had already turned to the side, staring at the wall with an embarrassed scowl. I thought the guys always dragged him along, but… Does he actually enjoy coming to see me? Tae was a spitfire, to be sure. Many of the other girls were sweet and charming, but Tae’s reputation was of playful feistiness. Thinking back, Tae was almost always requested to serve the Shinsengumi’s party; she had reasoned that it was Isao’s doing, but now that she really examined the experiences, sometimes it was just Toshiro in charge. A heat rose to her cheeks as she considered the possibility that it was the vice-captain behind her exclusive catering.
Toshiro’s fingers drummed against the table’s surface as the quietude descended once more. Tae glanced out the window to see the snow piling up on the sill. She rose and shuffled over to the glass pane, adjusting the kimono as it slipped from her shoulders. The whiteness blanketed everything in sight; the street was no more, just a swathe of the rolling powder, and the houses across the street were laden with heavy pillows of it. Faint sprigs of dead grass poked out of the layer in the yard, rapidly being buried by the second. The slippery pathway which Tae had traversed only minutes ago was completely submerged. I could end up staying the night here, she reasoned. The thought made her heart quiver, and the heat in her face increase substantially. Curiously, she peered out of her peripheral vision at Toshiro, and found his gaze fixated on her.
Tae thought that it might not be a bad thing to be snowed in with the handsome police vice-captain.
“Well,” she smirked finally, making him straighten up. She held the loose fabric of the black kimono to her chest as she turned to him. “Since you like visiting the cabaret club so much, why don’t we liven up the atmosphere? Surely you have some alcohol here,” she chuckled as his eyebrow quirked inquisitively. “I don’t know about you, but brooding is not exactly my idea of a night in.” She strolled back to the kotatsu table, making a point for the fabric to slip in just a way to unveil her milky-white thigh. “Unless, of course, Mr. Vice-Captain isn’t man enough to drink with me?”
~~~~~~~~~~
Three shared bottles of sake later, Tae was pink-faced and snorting piggishly with laughter. Her hand repeatedly slapped the surface of the table as she giggled uncontrollably. Toshiro had just said it, but she didn’t even know what was so funny. He had rounded the table to sit beside her, and she was leaning heavily into his shoulder.
“Ahahahaha!” she howled as she swiped tears from the corners of her eyes. Toshiro released a long, contented sigh and slammed the most recently emptied alcohol bottle on the table before looking down at her with flickering eyes.
“I can’t believe you accused me of brooding.”
“I’m sorry, Mr. ‘Oh, look at me, I’m so grumpy and serious,’” she jibed with an unflattering mimic of his baritone voice. His eyebrows dove down over his eyes, but her coy smirk revealed his amusement. “What was I supposed to think you do for fun? Certainly not drink with beautiful women such as myself,” she said haughtily and flipped her hair over her shoulder. It had long since fallen from her bun and cascaded in waves around her upper arms. She had also long since given up correcting the kimono every time it slipped, so the black fabric was now loosely bunched around her biceps. With the tops of her breasts peeking above the dark cloth, she certainly did look like a prostitute. She was too inebriated, or maybe confident, to care.
Toshiro purred and brought his face dangerously close to hers. Tae could smell the sake on his breath as he toothily leered over her.
“No, indeed. I’ve never had the pleasure. Those bungling oafs of mine always ruin it.” Sober Tae would blush and turn away, but drunk Tae was much less concerned with social propriety. Squealing, she clapped a hand to her blistering red cheek and shoved him in his thick shoulder.
“Oh, Toshiro! You tease!”
His voice rumbled in a purr with the intensity of a lion’s. A pleasurable shiver traveled up her spine at the sensation of his breath puffing against the shell of her ear.
“Tease? You presume too much; I’m being honest here,” he sighed in fake hurt. Tae giggled, girlishly holding her hand to her lips, her eyes rolling to peer at him through her peripheral vision. The smirk decorating his face was downright devilish. His eyes glimmered like obsidian, dark and dangerous and captivating. Tae was now wondering why she had possessed any inhibitions about Toshiro inviting her in. “Hey.” The sudden solemnness in his tone made her frown and glance up at him. His expression was suddenly very serious. “I am being honest, you know.”
The gravity of that utterance sobered Tae immediately. Flushing, she wrung her hands into the folds of the kimono but couldn’t bring herself to tear away from those smoldering eyes of his. His hand slowly reached up to lightly grab her chin, his thumb caressing the space just below her slightly parted lips. He tilted his head to the side and just stared, as if he were memorizing every detail of her face. The thought made another pleasurable tingle shoot through Tae’s nerves, but it was much more electrifying and exciting than the last. There was such an atmosphere of tension, of expectation, like the way the air crackles with energy before lightning strikes. She drew in a breath and held it, for she already knew what he was about to ask.
“Tae.” His voice was soft and inviting. Oh, how it drew her in. It felt like she was descending into warm water, floating in the dense space. She found her eyes threatening to flutter closed already, intoxicated on the deep bass of his voice alone. “Stay with me.”
Perhaps it was the alcohol. Perhaps it was the knowledge of the snow piling high outside, and the shrieking wind rattling the glass windowpanes, and the depressing gray clouds choking the night sky. Perhaps it was the excited gossiping of the girls at work every time Toshiro strolled through the door, accompanied by his posse of police officers. Perhaps it was all of that, but it was also most definitely the fact that her heart had been palpitating from the moment she stepped through the door.
“Of course.”
The moment his lips met hers, it felt like the entire world fell into place. It was just so incredibly natural, almost as if it had been a moment that Tae had waited her whole life for. A soft sigh slipped out of her, and her body sagged with contentment. Toshiro’s sturdy arms wound around her waist when she fell against him; so immersed in the kiss was she that it seemed too burdensome even to keep herself sitting up.
Their mouths moved together in sync, slow at first. Then the hunger and passion oozed in. Soon their lips were feverishly smashing and their teeth gnashing and their tongues dancing. Tae’s hand traipsed up his back to curl firmly into the straight strands of his black hair, coiling them continuously around the slim digits. She gasped when he sealed her brunette locks between his fingers and pulled, just hard enough to coax her head back but not enough to heart. Her eyelashes fluttered lasciviously when he began raining sloppy kisses across her jawline and down the column of her neck. “Toshiro,” she whined when he pressed a searing, enduring kiss to her collarbone. He nudged her body with his own, and she obeyed the silent command, falling back against the floor. He loomed over her, ceasing his incessant affections to stroke the soft skin that had been revealed by the loose kimono.
“I suppose it’s a little late to say that you’re beautiful,” he smirked down at her. Tae snorted, rolled her eyes, and shifted her hands down to his biceps.
“Maybe so, but a girl still likes to hear it.” He plucked one of her hands up and brought it to his mouth, pressing a sweet, lingering kiss to her palm. His eyes never left hers. It was so gratifying, that cherishing gaze of his, that she found herself smiling warmly. He finally pried his lips from her skin and pressed her hand against his cheek, then shifted so that his body pressed against her. It felt like her every curve locked so perfectly into place with the rugged landscape of his form. He swept some of her hair away from her face, then traced a finger down her jawline.
“I gotta say,” he smiled wryly. “I never actually thought I’d find myself in this situation.”
“Hard to believe that Toshiro Hijikata, vice-captain of the Shinsengumi, has been so afraid to tell a girl he likes her,” she teased, and stuck out the tip of her tongue when he scowled. She yelped when he pinched it between his fingers. “Ow! I’ne thorry!” she pleaded when she failed to tug it away from him. When he released her, she began laughing at the informality of it all.
“I gotta say,” she grinned when she finished snickering. “I never thought I would find myself in this situation, either.”
“You regret it?” His face had retaken on that serious note. Tae smiled wider and snuggled against him, shaking her head.
“No. Not at all. One thing, though.”
“What?”
“You’re taking me out for a proper date tomorrow.”
Toshiro smiled in amusement and leaned down to press a little kiss to the tip of her nose.
“You’re too bossy for your own good,” he purred. Naturally, their lips molded back together for a passionate embrace. Outside, the snow continued to fall and blanket the world in cold, cold white; but for that night, Tae found herself the warmest she had ever been.
May I ask for a headcanon where gintoki finds out that his s/o is hijikata's sister. May I also get how hijikata would react to the news. I love your blog!!!
love you more, dear anon!
Sakata Gintoki:
Gintoki finds out when Hijikata rushes into his house with you in tow. He doesn’t understand what the hell’s going on until you explain how you’re related to the tax robber.
It takes him a few minutes to actually believe the words flowing out of your mouth because frankly, how the hell is someone like you related to someone like him?
He takes advantage of the new information. Is Hijikata fuming at him? Well, he can’t do anything serious or cuff him unfairly because you’re dangerous when you’re mad.
Gintoki openly flirts with you in Hijikata’s presence just to irritate him. Kissing your cheek, wrapping an arm around your shoulders or waist—he has this shit eating grin aimed at Hijikata’s direction whenever he knows you aren’t looking. What can the policeman do? You’re dating, after all.
Changes his mind after a bullet pierces through his chair and lodges itself into his piece of strawberry cake.
Holiday gatherings are fun, especially when the shinsengumi somehow ends up fighting with the yorozuya for the hot pot.
Marriage scares are also fun, especially when two sadists team up to surprise Hijikata of your pretend wedding next week.
The revelation doesn’t change how he feels about you. Just that Gintoki has to be careful with pda, and stray bullets.
Hijikata Toshirou:
He knows you have a boyfriend, but he never expected it to be him. Initially, you bought him a few treats topped with mayonnaise to ease the news to him, but they’re doing much more damage.
Hijikata swallows a scone too fast and almost gets choked to death.
Storms through the Yorozuya household and tries to beat Gintoki to death.
“you’re dating my sister!?”
“what are you talking about!?”
Mayora 13 rises from the dead to snipe Gintoki whenever he goes on a date with you. You’re his precious sister, of course he’s going to be protective. Gintoki has an arm around you? bang! The bullet goes through his chair and nearly pierces him in the shoulder.
Okita Sougo joins in the fun by tormenting Hijikata about how he needs to give you the talk. Also adds the stuff you two might possibly do when no one else is around. Hijikata wants to slice someone to death.
He repeatedly asks you why you’re dating Gintoki in the first place and lists several reasons why you shouldn’t.
He reminds you to tell him if Gintoki does anything wrong so he can arrest him for defiling an officer’s sister.
Your birthday is a blast. Literally.
Deep inside, Hijikata knows Gintoki’s a good guy and knows he won’t do anything on purpose to hurt you. Albeit slowly, he gets used to the idea that his sister is dating the curly haired samurai and reluctantly accepts it.
Sweet and Easy
Summary: There was something so irresistible about Gintoki, a simple man of simple pleasures who never refrained from going all out when it comes to pleasuring you.
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Reader/Gintoki
Hello everyone! Here comes a bit more spam from he who prefers sweet over savory~ Thank you to darling @hotdiodick for this request as I had a DELIGHTFUL time working on this prompt, especially once I found further inspiration from “Sweet and Easy” by Wonder Girls, which this one-shot is titled after!
I hope you enjoy!
**Warning: I know this seems silly (but oddly fitting) since this is a Gintama fic, but this one-shots contains spoilers for Persona 5!
—————
“…This is your treat, right?”
Suspicion in his eyes, Gintoki’s gaze flickered from your face back to the vast array of desserts currently situated on the table. They all looked so decadent, even if there were some so elaborate that he almost felt reluctant to eat any of them.
“This is my treat!”
You giggled, all while your admired his expression. Though his eyes were narrowed in scrutiny, you could see him trying to hide back his pure, utter glee to see all the sweets presented right before him.
“This isn’t a ruse, or anything…right?”
His finger hovered over one of the cupcakes, wondering whether he should swipe his finger at the frosting to taste, or remain cautious.
“It’s totally not a ruse!”
You reassured him, shaking your head. While Gintoki’s behavior was humorous to watch, you just wished he would indulge in the treats as you wanted him to do. As you spent the day dogsitting Sadaharu while he, Shinpachi, and Kagura were out fulfilling a request–a successful endeavor that was nothing short of a miracle–all you wished was to do was to indulge and splurge on sweets with your boyfriend.
His eyes snapped back up to meet yours, a stare that dared not to waver in its intensity.
“This isn’t some trap for you to take some long-harbored vendetta against me, correct? You’re not disguising yourself as a dear companion to me in order to seek revenge on your father, who looks like a bald Gendo Ikari, yeah? You don’t possess any Stand ripoffs like Hobin Rood or Kilo, right? I am in no mood to ever to dress like a stupid kitsune–I’m not into that sort of thing, for I am a man of simple desires like creampies, facials, spanking, humiliation, and ana–”
Gintoki was interrupted, his mouth muffled and suddenly full of a green tea-flavored bun.
Though your expression was affectionate, the grip of your hand on the dessert was not–how could you when he was listing kinks in the middle of one of Edo’s most lavish dessert shop, all while a wealthy-looking mother and child were passing by as they headed to their table, of which you motioned towards with your head. In response, you admonished him with a huff, “Gintoki, it’s just a date! What, I can’t treat my own boyfriend every now and then?”
Your boyfriend breathed against the bun, his eyes furrowed as he tried to work his mouth around the soft, slightly flaky texture so he may bite into it. Once he was able to get a decently-sized chew, he drew his head back, his eyes narrowed towards you as he spoke, even with food in his mouth. “Oi, you know I’m into that sort of thing, but in reverse. If anyone’s getting a mouthful of sausage bun, it’s going to be you.” He pointed his index finger towards you for emphasis, though seeing your lips curl into a grin and your eyes twinkle at the thought only made him gulp–bun included–and feel a rush of excitement.
Still, not to give in to you so easily, he continued, “Usually when people are nice to me, they have something they want–like money or revenge.”
“Well in my case–” Your expression softened, becoming tender as you slowly pointed at yourself, your lips becoming full and pouty. “–I just want your love, Gintoki. Is that too much to ask for?”
Gintoki’s hands flew up to his clothes as he let out a tremendous roar while leaping to a stand, his face immediately feeling and looking fiery hot. He noticed that your innocent expression remained, but with years of being your lover, he could see beneath that mask was a contortion of smug triumph. In the same regard from your end, you knew how there was nothing that he wished to protect more than the sweet smile on your face.
Or whatever relevant metaphor he would mention with utter seriousness while squaring off against the main villain of the current arc.
Which, honestly, you were truly the most formidable opponent he had ever had to deal with.
One who knew all his weaknesses, how to extort his vices, when he was at his most vulnerable state.
Truly this was why there was no one more perfect for him than you.
Teeth gritting together in a scowl, he hissed, “H-How dare you use such underhanded sweetness against me?!”
“Sir! Is everything alright?!”
His head shifted to the side, realizing that a flustered waitress was standing close by, with other nearby tables looked utterly startled by his outburst. From the corner of his eye, he could see your head turn—which, knowing you–meant you were about to utter out some excuse for his behavior. But as your mouth opened, he cleared his throat while reaching over to take the green tea bun from your hands.
“Ahh my apologies. I was just taken aback by the deliciousness of the restaurant’s cusine,” he droned as he plopped back down onto his seat, right before he took another bite while waving the waitress off with his other hand. “I’m a well-known Yip reviewer, so I was practicing my overdramatic write-up for later. Don’t worry, I promise to give as many thumbs ups to this place as possible. In fact, I’ll even ram it in, because I have a fondness for ana–”
“Angelic Parfaits!” You chirped suddenly, your voice tight and your tone high. Smiling a bit too cheerily at the waitress, you continued, “That’s the specialty of this place, right? Those really big ones that’s supposed to reach the heavens, or something like that? We’ll take the azuki one please!” Your expression becoming sheepish, you gestured towards your boyfriend with your hand. “He’s been looking forward to trying one for a while, so he’s just a little excited.”
As if it wasn’t clear from days spent together beforehand, at this moment, forever with you was something he greatly looked forward to.
Though the waitress still looked unnerved, she slowly nodded while taking out her notepad, scribbling your order. “V-Very well then.” She turned to leave, much like how the other restaurant patrons curiously stared a moment longer at the two of you before returning to minding themselves.
Gintoki immediately faced your direction. “I love you.”
Even with the playful exasperated sigh you released, your heart fluttered with joy, matched by the laugh you let out. “I love you too, Gintoki.”
His ‘suspicions’ of your intent cleared up, he held no restraint to feasting the tabletop-full of fancy, expensive desserts and sweets. There was no metaphor for this. He truly was an overgrown kid at a candy store. You couldn’t help but 'aww’ and coo over him practically weeping when the Angelic Parfait was brought out, sniffling how the two of you should elope because he doesn’t have the money for a wedding reception, hell let alone the ceremony itself. This man–however flawed and perverse he was–deserved so much, and nothing brought you as much fulfillment as seeing him smile.
Still, as nice as it was to watch Gintoki partake in his treats, you happily delved into your array of sweets, like the long strawberry and cream bun you just took a bite out of.
“Aah, this one’s so good!” You moaned, savoring the sweet taste of the berries and cool, fluffy texture of the cream. The pastry was artfully crafted, and truly it was a shame to have to ruin its delicious display. But with a flavor like this, there was no way you would ever be able to resist for long. Happily, you licked your lips from any excess cream that remained from your first bite of your bun.
…whereas the cream from Gintoki’s was shot out and landed right on a few other treats due to him suddenly squeezing it with intense force.
“Gintoki, so messy~” You let out a giggle, genuinely unaware of what your innocent actions just caused.
While your lover wanted to make a rebuttal, he just thanked Steel Ball Run Jesus that he didn’t make a mess elsewhere on his personage.
Needless to say, once the two of you finished your date, Gintoki was walking rather…stiffly on the way back to Otose’s Snack House.
Times like these made him thankful that his yukata draped loosely, especially around his crotch. Though, it was difficult to not remain hard while he thought back to you licking your lips, or how you enjoyed his playful threat of fucking your mouth. He wanted to laugh at himself. As he himself admitted, he was a man of simple pleasures after all–and there was absolutely nothing else in the world that could satisfy him as much as you.
But honestly, even with a night spent tasting and trying out the finest of desserts that Edo had to offer, it quickly dawned on him that there was something he had yet to have his fill of.
“I’m hungry.”
He blurted out those words while the two of you were standing in the middle of the Yorozuya’s main living area. The whole office was quiet–no muffled idol music, no snores that could echo endlessly throughout time–and Kagura’s and Shinpachi’s shoes weren’t to be found at the genkan, meaning the two of you were alone.
You immediately faced him, eyes wide and lips parted slightly in genuine astonishment, the latter of which all that he could focus on and long for. “You’re still hungry? Even with all the buns you were stuffing your face with?”
Gintoki didn’t say anything in response, but rather, showed it by seizing your hips and drawing you towards him. While you were first met by the familiar outline of his erect cock pressing against your front, you felt him then immediately grab your ass, his firm squeezes eliciting startled gasps out of you.
His head leaned forward, lips dropping by your ear as he huffed, his voice husky, “Why wouldn’t I be when you’ve been holding out on the best buns from me?”
Under different circumstances, you would’ve smacked him for such a cheesy line, but you were instead left weak in the knees as your boyfriend continued to grope you relentlessly, feeling his lecherous desire for you with every touch. His lips sought out yours, kissing you hungrily. You could feel the heat of his tongue probe into your mouth while he ground his erection against your front. He kept you in place, refusing to let you go until he had his fill, which, by that time, you were left in a daze, panting and flushed in the cheeks.
Before you could say anything in response to what just occurred, you were instead scooped up into his arms. Looking at his face, you could see the sultry smirk plastered on his lips as he chuckled lowly.
“Now it’s my turn to treat you~”
And then he carried you to the bedroom.
If your date was anything to go by, he surely was hungry by the way he tore and ripped your clothes apart like they were the fancy cupcake wrappers and ornate pastry liners from earlier. Though he had no shame with stuffing his face with all the sweets, he still maintained his manners–save for talking with his mouth full.
However, such composure was out of the question once he had his face planted between your thighs.
You were left to writhe and squeal while lying upon the futon, your fingers woven through his already messy perm as his tongue caressed your core in long yet quick strokes. His hands gripped your thighs securely, keeping you from moving around too much, therefore interrupting his meal. Pleasurable as this all was, it was when he would lift his half-lidded gaze to meet yours that made you want to tug on his hair even more.
His stare arrogant sultry, he had the tip of his tongue circling delicately around your clit, keeping this up until you were whimpering and begging for more.
Of course, when asked so nicely, he was eager to oblige, licking and kissing until your back arched and your lips cried out breathlessly. He never understood why some considered him to be a sadist.
This night was yours after all. Hence why he was preparing to spoil you further as he situated himself between your legs with his hard, aching cock in hand.
He admired the scarlet blush on your cheeks, a sense of pride coursing through him knowing that such a sight was caused by him, that you felt so good to be looking this way.
“Gintoki, you…glutton,” you teased amidst your shallow breaths, your lips fixed in a grin. “How can you just…keep going?”
Feigning ignorance, he shrugged, despite the smirk on his face, “I don’t know–how do you keep tempting me so easily?“
"Didn’t you call yourself a man of simple pleasure earlier?” You queried just as you took in an anticipatory breath. The head of his cock was nudged against the entrance of your slick core.
Eager for the warmth that would soon envelope him, Gintoki chuckled, even as he could feel his mouth water from feeling your wetness. “Heh, true. I guess I’m just overwhelmed, knowing that I’m treated to luxury every single day…!” His cock sheathed inside you fully with one thrust, his name uttered from your lips in one moan.
Heaven.
Positioned above you, covering–no, caging you with his body, his mouth sought out and captured your lips for a kiss. Feeling your legs slink around his bare waist, he grinned, taking that as invitation to grab onto your hips and start pounding away at your core. His cock pushing in and out smoothly yet with the ferociousness of his desire for you, your heat squeezing around him while serving as the perfect fit for his girth.
Could there truly be anything better than this?
Then again, feeling your fingers weave through his hair again, hearing you moan against his mouth, the sound muffled by his kiss–so delicate, so pure–it made him want to fuck you over and over, to do whatever it took to have you remain his.
His bedroom was full of noise, amidst the sigh and groans of names and him relentlessly hammering his cock inside you, in addition to the obscene slapping noise of his sweat-slicked hips meeting yours, his balls right against your ass. If Kagura or Shinpachi were to come home, what was transpiring between you both would be blatant.
Though this would be a good, relevant time to use the excuse of spontaneous mochi pounding in the bedroom.
A silly metaphor, but one that made him grin wickedly, urging and coaxing him to ravage you even further.
One could never be too lenient when a decadent dessert called for vigorous preparation, after all.
By now however, the two of you were far beyond the beginning step, soon reduced to clinging to one another tightly, bodies quivering, hips bucking and rolling against each other. Your names were uttered to one another through a kiss. In return to the heat that your slickness offered him, he–in return–poured the warmth of his seed in thick, messy spurts.
At last, Gintoki rolled off of you, landing by your side with a heave of a breath, his arm resting over his head. He glanced over at you, watching your chest rise and fall while waiting for your heart rate to settle.
Smiling affectionately, he moved to his side, leaning forward to kiss your cheek, your name spoked in a hum. “Thanks for the treat.”
Breathless as you were, the loving look in your eyes reflected his identically. Just as content, you giggled, “Anytime, Gintoki. I’d love to go back there with you again, really.”
He let out a noise of amusement, propping his arm up on his elbow, his head resting on his palm. “Oh, I didn’t mean that.”
You always looked so cute when you were confused. “Hm? Then–”
Gintoki’s grin was nothing short of perversion. “I meant the creampie. Give me another serving, would ya?”
You grabbed the pillow from beneath and prepared to smack his face. He only blocked your attempt with ease, tossing it away before he kissed you longingly once more. Even with your taste on his tongue, he knew that he would always be craving for you.
Purgatory
Alternatum to Ghosts
Toshiro frowned and angrily kicked the cigarette dispensing machine in an attempt to dislodge the pack of cigarettes that had jammed itself in the rotating dispensary springs. It wobbled as if it were going to dislodge, but then fell still in a clear effort to try his nerves. After several kicks gradually increasing in severity, all he had earned for himself was an aching foot. He cursed the defective machine under his breath as he shoved his hands in his pockets and began stalking down the street. He supposed it was as good a reason as any to follow up on the notion that he was going to try to quit smoking- the notion that he had been perpetuating for quite a while but just couldn’t seem to actually accomplish.
“Well… At least it’s quiet,” he sighed to himself as he walked alone through the night. The stores were still open catering to customers, but the atmosphere was light; he didn’t have to go chasing down shoplifters or beating up alleyway muggers. Ever since the conclusion to the Utsuro incident a year ago, the crime rate had dramatically decreased. Of course, it wasn’t zero, and so Toshiro and the rest of the Shinsengumi still had their hands full on a daily basis. Still, he didn’t have to go around chasing Joui patriots or fending off doomsday, so his stress levels had adjusted accordingly. Sometimes, probably for nostalgia’s sake, he still got that urge to smoke, though. The world just seemed to take him too seriously on his noble commitment and somehow managed to bungle his efforts to acquire a cigarette. If that was the most of his problems, though, Toshiro supposed that he should be grateful.
His craving for a smoke morphed into a craving for a drink, so he stopped into a quaint little joint and ordered himself a hot black tea. At this time of night, most patrons were partaking in alcoholic beverages, but Toshiro didn’t care to trade his chain-smoking habit for an alcohol-chugging one. Eyes lidded as he watched a couple of drunks raucously playing poker in the corner, he didn’t take much notice of the man who slid into the barstool beside him until he heard him order a black tea as well. Wait a second… I know that voice, he thought with a slight scowl and whirled around on the seat to be greeted with the smirking visage of one Shinsuke Takasugi.
Toshiro wondered for a moment if his drink was alcoholic after all because he was pretty certain that the man sitting beside him had been dead for about a year.
“Don’t look so surprised,” Shinsuke purred in amusement. “My specialty happens to be crawling my way out of Hell.” There was an air of light-heartedness about him, undermined by the subtle pang of guardedness, as he casually swirled the dark liquid around in the clay cup and eyed Toshiro out of the corner of his one good eye. The police officer deliberated for a moment on his course of action; even if a majority of the crimes of Gintoki and his compatriots had been pardoned, Shinsuke Takasugi had a pretty impressive rap sheet of crimes against the state. He had no reason to return to Edo aside from causing trouble. Yet… He didn’t seem to be up to much good and it wasn’t very like him to turn up at public venues, let alone plop right down beside one of the leading members of the Shinsengumi. Honestly, Toshiro wasn’t much in the mood to scrap with him, either. It was pretty good tea he was holding in his hand at the moment and he’d hate for it to spill and be wasted. He pursed his lips as he eyed Shinsuke critically.
“So what the hell are you here for?”
“Such hostility. You haven’t changed much,” he snorted with obvious distaste. The smirk fell from his lips to be replaced with a stony, blank, thin-lipped stare. “What became of Gintoki?”
“Spent the year living in a hole, didja?” Toshiro sighed and leaned his cheek in his fist with a return of his narrow-eyed expression. “That rent-dodging, apathetic asshole is still running his Yorozuya with the brats. Most often when I actually do have to answer calls about disturbances in town, it's him and his cronies.” Try as he may, he could not keep the faint hint of affection from staining his voice. Gintoki was an absolute bastard and a stain on society in many respects, but there was just something so likable about him that even the tough, gritty Toshiro couldn’t help but look upon him in mild fondness. Perhaps it was simply the rose-colored glasses of the former samurai saving the world a few times over that tainted his impression of him. “Why do you ask?”
“Believe it or not, even I referred to people as ‘friends’ once,” he remarked smoothly with a sordid look down into his half-drunk glass of hot tea. “On some level, I wish for him to be doing well.”
“Look at that. Shinsuke Takasugi, turning over a new leaf. I must be drunk,” he countered with a suspicious glance into what appeared to be tea but could very well be tea-like sake that remained sloshing around in his cup. He bristled a little when the patriot released what sounded like some bastardization of a chuckle, but was darker and more edged with iron, fitting his edgy personality and look.
“A new leaf? Maybe,” he said quietly with a faraway look. What was it about this bastard that made Toshiro unable to get a read on him? “I was dead, and yet I live. I’m just a specter wandering around looking for a reason, I suppose,” he said after a few seconds of silence.
“Didn’t you have followers?”
“They’re either dead or gone,” he responded levelly. Toshiro wouldn’t have thought it possible, but his expression softened slightly as he continued, “There’s one who still follows me around, but… She has nothing going for her otherwise, so I suppose it is a matter of necessity rather than choice.” He exhaled slightly and leaned back, rolling his shoulders lazily as he closed his eye. “Regardless, it is apparent that my endeavors and wishes in my ‘past life,’ as it were, are no longer sufficient to sustain my existence.”
“Pity.” There was not an iota of pity in his voice, nor in his body. Yet, he wasn’t triumphant about it, either. Toshiro didn’t pity him, but he understood being lost. Two years after the first clash with Utsuro, after he had been dismissed from the Shinsengumi, he had been trapped in that very limbo. He had occupied himself by forming a local police gang with other discredited members, but… It wasn’t fulfilling. It was just meaningless fluff that tried to fill the void but ultimately fell short. “So… You think Gintoki has the answers you’re looking for?” he continued slowly, eyeing him out of the corners of his eyes. The smirk returned to the patriot’s mouth, albeit faintly.
“I wouldn’t go that far… I suppose it’s more that I’m wondering how he did it. Moved on so easily, after the hell that we all went through,” he murmured thoughtfully. It did seem that way on the surface, the white-haired man had himself all put together and was totally unbothered. It seemed that way, but Toshiro didn’t doubt that the man had his nightmares, just like every war-scarred veteran, that the scent of iron and the screams of pain hovered just beyond his waking reality ready to pounce in moments of weakness. Toshiro knew exactly what Gintoki would tell him, too.
“There is no moving on,” he said and drained the last dregs of his tea, “there’s just living, or dying. That’s all.” Shinsuke’s eyebrow quirked as Toshiro stood up and dropped a few coins on the counter for the shopkeeper.
“Interesting. You sound just like him.”
“Don’t insult me.” Toshiro frowned at him as he laughed dryly, then began fishing around in the folds of his kimono. His eyebrows raised as he produced a pack of cigarettes and held it out to him. It was the brand he had been wrestling with earlier. He wondered if the pack had fallen down after a time thanks to gravity, or if Shinsuke had sliced apart the machine to claim Toshiro’s forgone purchase. He didn’t fancy returning to the vending machine to find out. The patriot shook the carton emphatically in offering. Toshiro’s teeth nibbled at the edge of his bottom lip as he considered it. “No thanks.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah. I’ve moved on,” he remarked with a small smirk before dipping his head in farewell, not glancing back to see what Shinsuke actually did with the cigarettes. He slipped his hands into the pockets of his pants as he whistled a light tune, head tilting back to behold the brilliant full moon shining amongst the glittering stars above, in a space so vast it was beyond comprehension. So small were they, in the expanse of the universe, yet everything in their lives seemed too big and important.
Crawled your way outta Hell, huh? He thought wryly. Hope you make the best of purgatory...
