I found the best podcast called The Two Princes and let me tell you if you love fantasy and romance you will love this story. It’s only seven episodes that are 24 minutes each but it is definitely worth listening too.

Los medios de comunicación van muy pegados al ritmo de vida de la sociedad por lo que evolucionan muy rápido. La época dorada de la radiofórmula fueron los 80 y los 90.  En España fuimos pioneros en usar este tipo de radio. Un ejemplo de esto fue el de Los 40 Principales una de las primeras radios en importar el método a Europa convirtiéndose en la marca dominante en España. Hoy en día la radiofórmula está en crisis. 

Javier Llano quien dirige Cadena 100, Rock FM y MegaStar ha explicado que “uno de los cambios fundamentales es que la industria discográfica ya no tiene tanta influencia como antes”. También ha mostrado su visión Blas Herrero sobre lo que puede provocar el cambio: “Para mí el problema es la homogeneización. Casi todos utilizan el mismo sistema para averiguar las preferencias de los oyentes”.

Otro factor importante que ha causado esta crisis en la radiofórmula ha sido Spotify que ofrece la música que quieres en el momento que decides. Además ha comprado por 300 millones de euros las plataformas Gimlet Media y Anchor FM.

Algo único que ofrece la radio es que nos puede informar sobre novedades musicales e incluso ofrecer informaciones exclusivas sobre autores y otras cosas del sector. Se puede decir que no hay mal que por bien no venga. La crisis en la radio ha servido para que sus profesionales hayan estudiado y mejorado la industria radiofónica y hayan conseguido una confianza con sus oyentes.

Let's talk about Sandra from @gimletmedia . Gimlet keeps doing this amazing podcast thing! Grinding out podcasts with well-known actors making well produced fiction podcast. It's just how they do. Sandra is a fiction podcast about, Helen (Alia Shawkat--Arrested Development, State of Grace) a women who just wanted to escape her small town, but when her (knock on wood) soon to be ex-husband, Donny (Chris Abbott--James White, Catch-22) goes to prison and won't sign the dang divorce papers, she instead takes a job at Orbital Teledynamics, whose secretive office is located in town. Orbital is the maker of Sandra, the World's Most intuitive AI (voices by Kristen Wiig, Bridesmaids, Ghostbusters, all things fabulous). Except she isn't. She's actually just a voice overlay for oodles of call center reps who look things up at a moments notice for people. Helen must balance trying to go to prison to visit/cajole Donny into signing her divorce papers with pleasing her asshole/Steve Jobs-ian call center boss, Dustin (Ethan Hawke, yes, that Ethan Hawke who requires no introduction), while fielding/developing rapport with the random questions and clients Sandra garners. At a single season, 7-20-ish minute episodes, Sandra is just long enough for a project, cleaning, or a short road trip. Though there have been some critiques that, *spoilers*, the ending feels like there should definitely be more, but no news of a season 2. It was picked up for TV production in 2018 (much like, another Gimlet show, Homecoming), but nothing has come of it, so far. Last year, Sandra was translated and recontextualized in 4 languages for France, Germany, Mexico and Brazil, even changing the AI's name to be more in keeping with the language and country.

Happy Birthday Two Princes

Happy First Anniversary to The Two Princes Podcast and Happy Birthday to Amir & Rupert❣️

In many ways I could not have predicted the year I would have following a little podcast recommendation from the excellent @kharti . I have: written nine fanfic works, started a discord server, helped spread the fandom name (Heartlanders), organized a fan week, gotten hyped for and listened to a second season, written incorrect quotes posts, crafted fan memes, archived Instagram QnA sessions, rewritten lyrics to make a TTPP version of a song, learned how to create and post an Instagram filter, created melodies for two original songs, organized a fanzine (releasing later this month), and still have so much more that I want to do and create for the Heartlanders 🏰

But first I have to recognize the amazing cast and crew who gave us this amazing show. From Kevin Christopher Snipes taking his nephew’s bedtime story and bringing it to life with help from the amazing production team (still want a soundtrack gimletmedia) and the finest actors to ever tread boards and lend their voices.

For the world brought to life, for the characters and creatures, for a gay fairy tale, for the music and the memories and the friendships formed, thank you.

Thank you for The Two Princes Podcast. Thank you for the Heartland! And THANK YOU ALL for the best fandom I’ve ever been a part of. I See You and I Love You all🤟🏾❣️
