Can we bring up the fact that Laszlo, up until this point, has never been interested in Guillermo (that wasn't out of boredom, necessity or putting him down - I'm talking genuine interest (and dare I say slight concern?) in him), or literally anything he had to say or what he did throughout the day. Not even once. But here Laszlo is, constantly bringing up the topic of Guillermo's seemingly odd behavior to the other vampires - also showcasing that he's paid enough attention to him to where he can recognize that Guillermo's not acting like his usual~ self. I also noticed that Laszlo praised Guillermo's familiar duties (has he ever complimented him before? Idts) and proclaimed to Nandor on his own that he agreed with Guillermo that Nandor was using hypnosis too much. He even said "Ah! There he is." to himself when Guillermo showed up after he and Nandor met up with Nadja after they got out of jail, meaning that he was still thinking of Guillermo even when he was hanging out with Sean and Nandor and after all the crazy excitement that happened that night. And in the end it turned out that he kind of was concerned about Guillermo because he told him he pretty much thought he had a bad stomach ache and wanted to tell him to be careful about what he eats. Aww.
I think Laszlo co-parenting with Guillermo towards baby Colin Robinson last season sparked an interest (and respect) in Guillermo, and I love finally seeing their relationship develop, and I look forward to seeing them bond more this season (even if it is baby steps lol But in a way it's the total opposite because Laszlo has never talked about/to Guillermo this much in one season before, much less the series as a whole, and I am loving every second of it).

Park Seonghwa- Rivals to Lovers
Here me out, he owns an old book shop across the street, he's been there longer than you too. This was his turf, his town, his people, people who loved to read in his cozy library, with its olden print books, worn out pages, read through by generations of the same family.
All was great until one spring she shows up, with her whole pastel plus minimalistic vibes, all with the cutesy trinkets and plants, with warm lights- he noticed some books too, but they were only for show- in conclusion it was a horrid place.
A horrid place where most teens would go to after school now, no longer going to his bookshop, where they'd gossip, read novels or mangas, or even look at pretty pictured magazines (the safe kind, mind you he kept nothing nasty). What's worse was that the older folk began to go there, too! Especially because of how nice she was to them, so polite and so pretty and - ANNOYING.
He even went to 'inspect' the place, with a sour mood and an ill intention, though he was greeted with a burst of sweet aroma, one that had his stomach growling and his inner foodie, begging him to pick at least one of the many pastries or have a cup of steaming, delicious coffee. What came next was worst, her, with her gentle smile and angelic features.
"Hello! Welcome to Spring Avenue, how may we help you today?"
"You're taking my traffic."
"I'm sorry, I don't understand."
"Of course you don't."
With that he had walked out, starting a cold war, between the two. Ironically, she was a pacifist, never a fighter, but boy, did he piss her off, he knew all those buttons that would have her steaming like a hot latte.
The war had begun;
It all began when he put a " 10% off sign on Mangas, Fashion Magazines and Manhwas" that took a god chunk of her traffic.
In retaliation, she launched a "Friendship campaign, any customer that brings a friend gets a cake slice free."
Spend 2 hours reading here and leave with a borrowed book/novel of your choice."
"Buy a coffee and get a cookie free."
This continued throughout the season, so did their rivalry, to an extent that led their divided customers sense the tension. And like usual, highschoolers are escapists and this little feud of Seonghwa and her's was a problem they'd like to avoid, from her cafe they could see their beloved bookshop owner Seonghwa scowl at them, and if they were leaving the bookshop, the kids could feel the uneasiness in her smile that she give them once they'd pass her by.
"Congratulations, you're in loss." She sighed, closing the file, earning a scowl from the cafe owner, "Hey, I'm just here to check your bills, loss, and profit stuff, don't shoot the messenger."
"Alexia, come on." She whined, this was her dream, she'd put in her life's savings for this, "What should I do, Lexi?"
"Gosh, maybe not give out stupid discounts four times in a month?" Alexia sighed, rubbing her face, leaning back to stare at the bookshop across the street, "San said he knows the owner, maybe you guys could do a collab, instead of trying to each other's traffic."
"Who's San?" She asked her best friend, slash account manager and Public Relations officer- wait, was she dating!?
"Oh- uh- hey would you look at the time?" Alexia got up, grabbing her disposable coffee cup and bag, "Tell you what, you ask the bookshop owner dude about this? Okay? I'll get back with the details on Monday!" She called out as she walked towards the door, ignoring the cafe owner's questions about this San, "BYE LOVE YOU!"
That's how she found herself standing Infront of his bookshop that evening, still debating if she should go in or not? Was this idea even worth it, the guy was rude, annoying, stupid, incredibly handsome and sweet with kids and- the hell.
"Can I help you?" His deep voice came out of no where
She almost jumped out of her skin, only to turn around and spot the man she had been hating for the past ten months, standing there in all his angleic glory, with that ugly sweater and that overly comfortable scarf, not to mention his hair, his undercut had grown, quiet well too, perhaps he really was blessed with good genes.
"I uh..." she trailed off, pouting to herself, thinking of how he'd react, maybe he would make fun of her, or insult her or even go as far as to tell the town about her poor business management skills.
"Are you still open?" his question had caught her off guard, staring at him quietly wanting to see if this was a trick, only it wasn't, for when she nodded, he had looked around and then asked if he could...get a cup of coffee from there.
Of course she had said yes, why on earth would she say no to a customer, she needed the business. Unfortunately, that one cup of coffee, turned into two, then three, well- not as unfortunate as she would like it to be.
The two, mind you, who still didnt like each other, began to learn a lot about each other. He learnt how she was genuinely a sweet, caring and gentle person, her persona was indeed not fake but very real, this is who she was. She on the other hand, learned that he had inherited this business from his family, and he was an avid reader- sort a geek, a cute geek, a cute geek that could eat a whole chocolate cake with three mugs off coffee like it was nothing.
It wasn't until the third week of him visiting her cafe, that when he had stepped out to go there, he had bumped into her. She had almost fallen, but he was quick, gripping her wrist and pulling her into his chest, only to laugh when she mumbled an excuse, though he was glad she couldn't hear how his heart was hammering against his chest, wanting to stuff itself in the breast pocket of her coat.
That day she had asked him if she could check out his book shop, because she had been looking for old English bakery recipes and she couldn't find it anywhere, not any store around or online. Of course he had taken her to the right isle, in the right section in no time, this bookshop was his life and collecting and sifting through books was his passion, that day he had seen her passion, she had sat there, on the floor the entire night, reading book after book, mumbling to herself as she noted down recipes. He had sat next to her, helping her jot down notes, bringing her coffee- well not as good as hers, but good enough. At one point he had even ordered them a late night snack, well snacks, because he's a growing boy. He had closed the shop with the two inside, even pulled out a blanket and some cushions from the lounging area so she could comfortably work- she was a passionate girl and ironically he had realised something that night, only it turned into a full blown epiphany in the morning.
Next morning she had woken up right next to him, her head on his shoulder, his arm wrapped around her as the blanket was draped over the two, they had fallen asleep while reading- oh my, he really was pretty up close.
Though the two pretended nothing had happened, nothing had changed, however, everyone around them had noticed, the highschoolers would giggle when he'd come to her cafe for a cup of coffee, or how the older folk would pat him on the back when she'd step into the bookshop calling him out for help, with her little, "Hwa?"
Neither really knew how it happened, but one night while closing up he had waited outside for her, telling her he'd drop her home, even though she lived close by. Slowly this had become part of their routine, he'd often talk about the latest manga or an issue to the Star Wars comics or whatever on earth he'd talk about, but she'd always listen. Always smile and laugh at his jokes, while he'd readily accept any test recipes she'd try, telling her that his stomach was like a blackhole.
But when do the two get together? Simple, on New Years Eve, when he had to close his shop but she had decided to leave her cafe open, wanting to cater to all those who were celebrating the arrival of the new year with their loved ones, she knew Seonghwa had to go home anyway and she didn't want to spend the night alone since her family was out of town. What she did not expect was a few minutes before the strike of midnight, the cafe door chimed open as she turned to greet the customer, only to freeze at the sight before her- Seonghwa entering with a bouqet of origami flowers, smiling at her as he slowly walked to her;
"I- I know you don't like plucking flowers or bouqets, so I made you these."
"You...made these?"
"Ofcourse."
"W-why?"
"I...because I..." but before he could finish his sentence his ears picked up the count down, causing him to quickly place the flowers on the counter and as soon as the fireworks rang in her ears, it was as if she could feel the burning warmth in her body, taking a second to process how his lips were on hers, his hands cupping her face as her hands instinctively went up to grip his coat, pulling him even closer. Who knew that one day she'll end up opening a cafe that also served as a bookstore, who knew that one day, her little, evil, handsome rival bookseller, would be the New Year's kiss she never knew she needed, the man she never knew she needed, the lover that she was blessed to have.

Jeong Yunho- Neighbors to Lovers
No, she was not the new tenant, he was, and for some ungodly reason he was also extremely ill-prepared to live alone. Like any other weekend, she was leaving her apartment to go to the cafe to sit in peace and finish her novel, but God had other plans. She had opened the door to come face to face with a tall, good-looking man, though the smile he wore scared her- he was one of those extroverts.
No, he was not mean at all, nor was he the manipulative kind, Jeong Yunho really didn't know how the pre-installed dishwasher worked, that's why he had come to her that fateful weekend, about to knock on the door but she had beat him to it, opening the door before he could, earning a sheepish smile in return- who knew his neighbour would be so gorgeous, who knew purple could look so good on someone?
"Hey, I- I moved in across the hall, apartment 19, lol, I guess we're neighbours, huh?"
She had only nodded meekly at his question, pulling her satchel closer to her person, not because she didn't like him, no, but because she wasn't much of a talker anymore, not so confident either and also- because regardless of how good looking this stranger was, he was still a stranger.
"I'm Yunho- Sorry to bother you, I know you must be going somewhere, but I- I uh- I wanted to know if you know how to operate the dishwasher?"
That's how she found herself in his apartment, leaving the maindoor wide open, so she could escape if something were to happen, but to her surprise he was just a regular idiot, one who thought the dishwasher was a rack used to dry the dishes- men.
That night Yunho met an angel, one who seemingly had her life planned out, held together well, while he was still trying to build something out of his- data analyst or not, living alone was not the easiest thing to do, yet, she seemed so nonchalant about it.
Overtime however, she noticed how he would come over to ask her for help often, sometimes it was the 'fridge isn't working right' other times it was the 'how much water do you add to rice while boiling it?' Honestly, she would've told him to piss off if it were anyone else, but it was her polite neighbour, her sweet polite, new neighbour who would pass her by in the corridor every morning, smiling at her and wishing her a good morning- even if she wasn't a morning person.
Ironically, he continued to ensure they cross paths, only because he wanted to get to know her, to talk to her, he really needed a friend, and since moving here meant Mingi and him could no longer hang out 24/7, he really needed another person to talk to, someone who was not Hongjoong from the finance department.
Ironically, she did not protest or tell him to get lost, instead she's quietly help him whenever he'd approach her, giving him a shy smile then going back to her apartment. That purple door tempting him to go back and knock on the old wood, wanting to know what Narnia like secrets she hid behind.
She let it be, truthfully, she wanted fo befriended him, but during these little adventures, she realised she had begun to neglect her book, the same book she had a deadline for, the same book she had been working on day and night, and now this puppy pops up and takes all her attention?
So what does she do? Simple, she starts to create some form of distance, leave before he'd be awake, come back home later too, also even if he did come to knock on her purple door, she wouldn't be there to answer it, so technically she wouldn't feel guilty right?
Wrong, instead God had punished her with a severe writer's block, one so bad that she had missed two of her deadlines, and according to her publisher, she was on her last chance. That's how she found herself at the very cafe where she would find solace, now on the verge of tears, staring at the laptop in pure agony, maybe this was payback for leaving him unattended and ignoring him or maybe she was never meant to be a writer.
A fresh cup of coffee was placed next to her hand, causing her to quickly pull back and look at the stranger, only her panicked eyes met a softer, more timid gaze, a gentle smile gracing her presence.
"Hey... you looked like you needed the juice." He smiled, gesturing towards the chair, as if asking for permission to sit down next to her, to which she nodded.
"I uh..." she paused. Should she even be asking him how he's been? Does she have the right to do so, or are they just neighbours- well, at this point, two strangers living across each other.
"I read your books by the way," he began, giving her a gentle smile, as he felt the way she had tensed up, honestly, initially he thought she was like that because his presence made her uncomfortable, but he soon realised it wasn't him, but she usually was this tensed all the time, this nervous and unsure, which made no sense to him because she was one of the most well functioning person he had met in the city, and he was glad to have moved in next to her, "It's great, the plotline is amazing and the details- you really captured the essence, I particularly liked the world you created, honestly, when I moved here I thought everyone wore those 'blockers' too. To not...feel stuff you know," he turned to look at her, only to catch her staring at him, a small chuckle escaping him when she cleared her throat, averting her gaze, "You were the only one who was nice enough to help me, even for the stupidest of tasks...it means a lot."
She stared at him in awe and disbelief. She had been trying to avoid him for almost a month now, couldn't he tell? Or was he just playing dumb- I mean he totally could be dumb, he didn't know a toaster comes with settings, just thought the numbers were there for the appeal.
After that the two began to "spend time together", it was strictly casual mind you, nothing personal, though he would drop by more often than usual, sometimes after work, sometimes on the weekends- to have dinner with her, he'd bring dessert, or to watch a movie with her, he'd bring the snacks- no, nothing domestic at all.
Or so they thought, because a few months in, he had come over by swinging the door open, yes he had the keys and she had his keys, only to find her standing there all dressed up.
"Where are you off to? What about movie night?"
"Oh no..." she gasped, "Yuyu, I forgot to tell you I had a date tonight." A date? Why? With whom?
"Wait, why?"
"What do you mean why?"
"Why would you go on a date when we- I mean...isn't it weird? Shouldn't you be more focused on your book, instead of this temporary romance?"
"Temporary romance?!"
"W-wait, I didn't mean it like that. It came out wrong-"
"Out."
"W-what?"
"I said get out!"
That happened a week ago, she had been avoiding him for a whole week, she had been ignoring his calls, his texts, his knocks- no he didn't barge into her apartment, it took him a great amount of time to get her to open up to him and he idiotically clowned himself. So he decided to go to the next thing, go to the official reading of her book launch.
He waited there at the back, listening to her intently, taking in each word, who knew he would ever fall in love with, her neighbour, the same girl who had helped with the dishwasher, brought him dinner at night, spent time teaching him the usual ropes of living alone- who knew the very same girl had changed the plot of the book, basing it on her life, expressing how the shy, depressed protagonist, who thought dying her hair purple would make her feel better, realised that the only thing that would make her feel better would be a companion, a tall, handsome man, with a heart of gold- it was not that she needed a man, no, she just needed a friend, and she had finally found one, the inspiration to her writer's block, the Chandler to her Monica, the- HE DIES!?
He gasped, appalled at the way she had ended the story, where at the end, on his deathbed the man tells his beloved how she never needed him, but he needed her to function, to live through each day- bloody hell.
He waited for them to leave when he finally approached her, somewhat upset-no, he was very upset, as she stopped cleaning up to look at him, raising a questioning brow, "What?"
"I can't believe you!"
"Funny, Jeong, I should be the one saying that."
"What!? You killed me!?"
"What?"
"I come here to declare my undying love- no I come here to tell you how much you mean to me and apologise for never asking you out but getting upset when someone actually asked you out and you KILL ME IN YOUR NOVE?"
"First of all, I accept your apology, secondly, the protagonist was DEFINITELY NOT YOU, I made him up WAY BEFORE I met you."
"Oh..." he stared at her then looked around the almost empty bookshop, maybe he should just leave-
"So...Will you ask me out properly now or...'l"
"Move in with me."
"Too fast."
"Was worth a shot." He smiled when she let out a small laugh shaking her head at his antics, "Take me to dinner, Yunho." She smiled watching him lean closer then pause, as if asking for her permission,  "Can I...?" His question was answered when she gripped him by the lapels of his coat, pulling him closer to crash her lips against his, smiling when he wrapped his arms around her, pulling back only to press his forehead against hers,
"We move into my apartment..."
"What? Mine's great-"
"Yunho, have you seen the window and the balcony on mine?"
"Your apartment it is boss."

Choi San- Bestfriends to Lovers
Idiots, these two were complete idiots who were utterly in love with each other but were also too blind to realise that - why? Simple, because both feared that confessing to the other may ruin the long-held, deep bond.
A bond that had developed at the ripe age of childhood, middle school, to be more accurate. The day he had come to school, bored out of his mind, staring outside the window, wondering if he could jump on the closest tree to escape this prison. What he had not expected was an angel to come and sit beside him, well technically, the teacher had made her sit next to him, and he hadn't noticed her until she poked his shoulder lighter, causing him to jerk back and gasp, earning a few chuckles from the glass as the teacher just sighed in defeat.
"Wh-Hello."
"Do you need help with that?" She asked, pointing at the math equation in front of him. He looked at his notebook and remembered that's what they were supposed to me doing- damn that was a lot of daydreaming.
"Yeah, I guess...do you... know how to solve it?" He asked the new girl, too afraid to make eyecontact.
"Here, I'll show you." Turning to face him, she pulled his scribbled notebook closer.
"I'm San by the way."
That day onwards, a nice and quiet introvert at the back of the class finally began to crack open. From time to time, you'd hear him whispering to her, talking about some anime or a film. Often, he'd be telling her about his cat, Byeol, and how pretty she was. During break you wouldn't see San next to her for the first five minutes, no, he'd be sprinting across the campus, jumping down the stairs to go to the canteen to get her something to drink with her lunch, or a sweet snack, regardless of how many times she'd say 'it's fine.' During self study hours, she wouldn't be studying, no, she'd be busy tutoring her athletically gifted friend, he was...a little dumb, but that's okay, he was hardworking and she'd tell him she'd help him where he'd get stuck, explain and tutor where needed- especially in math.
As they grew older, he grew into his body, his self-esteem issues slowly subsiding, his feelings for her deepening, yet, never enough to tip the scale, at the bring of an edge but never enough to flow out he had to keep it all under control, because that's just how San was, patient and calm, he would never take a step if there was an ounce of the doubt when it came to how she felt about him. Though watching her spread her wings into the beauty she was, well, was somewhat problematic for him. Especially when she'd come to him, smiling like that, greeting him with the gentle voice of hers, asking him if he liked her haircut.
"What do you think?"
"It's...very nice."
"Just very nice?"
"You'd look pretty to me even if you were bald."
Conversations like these would have her heart hammering against her ribcage, and she'd pray to God that he couldn't hear it. She'd pray for it when he'd be walking home side by side, his shoulder bumping into hers, or his hand brushing against hers, when he'd take her bag from her, clicking his tongue at how heavy it would be,
"You trynna' build muscles like me?" He'd ask, though he was still very fragile, he'd only started going to the gym when he noticed how the 'basketball team captain', had decided to ask her to 'help tutor him too', though she had politely declined.
"Hmm? Of course not, Advanced Math books are just big like that..."
"Why do you do this to yourself, dove?" A nickname she had gained over the time, one used only by him.
"Because I wanna teach one day, I love teaching, I want to make sure people realise subjects aren't difficult or they aren't dumb, it's just that they're not taught properly."
Yup, he was smitten, on his knees, begging for her please ( he was also an idiot).
Ended up in college with her, though in a different major, like hell the now 'mountain of a man', no longer the kitten-like fragile boy, was going to major in math- business was a way better option.
This wasn't a bad situation, though they rarely had a few classes together, she'd still make time to see him, to text him as soon as class would end, but he'd already be standing at the exit, waiting for her with a coffee in hand and a dimpled smile, reserved just for her.
In no means was Choi San an extrovert, but somehow along the line he had met one, who later claimed that his MBTI had changed to an introvert too, though he doubted that notion- Jung Wooyoung.
Boistorous, noisy, obnoxious but a genuinely nice person at heart, Wooyoung was his companion in his major's classes, he was also the first person to know about San's little secret, since San trusted him enough to know, though Wooyoung assured him he had figured it out as soon as San introduced him to her as his "bestfriend".
"You're an idiot." Wooyoung snorted, taking off his shoes as he walked into the 4th years tiny apartment.
"What? Why?"
"You really think I didn't know?"
"How did you kno-'
"You can be bestfriends with a girl since childhood, unless a) one of you confessed to the other and got friendzoned but still chose friendship or b) neither of you confessed but are secretly crushing over the other."
"Wow, should've been a psychologist instead of a business major."
"What can I say, Sannie? I am a man of many talents."
Things progressed like this for a long time, Wooyoung watched from the sidelines how the two would basically act like a couple that was not a couple- almost everyone at campus thought they were a couple and Wooyoung was basically the third wheel. Not that he minded, and San appreciated him for that, he was glad Wooyoung's relationship with his dove was platonic- borderline sibling-like.
But Choi San was a fool, one that Choi San, at the fresh age of 25 wished that perhaps he'd be able to take the next steps, but something at the back of his mind held him back, were his personal desires as important as this friendship?
Which is why he stood there watching his best friend get ready for her date, her date with Wooyoung. After a conversation he did not like, but what could he say? He was too afraid to even confess, and well, Wooyoung wasn't a bad guy, and technically, he was his friend.
"I'm gonna ask her out, Sannie." The brunnet sighed, before taking a sip of his coffee, humming at the bitterness, perhaps this bitterness was sweeter than the bitter taste that had developed in San's mouth at the statement.
"W-why?" The bigger man with the fragile heart whispered.
"Because...I like her...I'm sorry but...I gave you time, so much of it and...I just wanted you to be the first one to know...if she says no, we'll all still be friends, but if she says yes...San, I won't hold back."
That had led to her first anniversary with Wooyoung, then the second and finally a day before their third anniversary San had texted the couple how he wouldn't be able to make it to their anniversary party because he had work that day and he wished them the best.
What he did not expect was someone knocking on his door at 2 am, opening the door to find a tear stained Wooyoung, only for him to punch the taller man in the face, watching him stumble backwards then wipe his eyes and sigh, "I swear- if you weren't such a great guy, I would've stabbed you."
"What the F*CK WOOYOUNG?"
That night was the first time he had seen Wooyoung cry, cry about how when she read the message she had become a mess, one that even Wooyoung couldn't fix, begging him for forgiveness how she made a mistake, how even though she was happy with Wooyoung, her heart belonged to someone else, someone who she thought she could move on from since he never confessed, since he never liked her back the way she did, and though the text was a confirmation of that, she couldn't bear lying to Wooyoung, to give him only half the love of what he deserved, knowing he deserved someone who would teach him the true meaning of love, because she was a teacher with only one student in mind, the idiot of a man- Choi San.
That night San couldn't sleep, not a wink, he processed the words over and over again, so did she like him? Should he confess to her? Now? Wouldn't that make it awkward? Or should he wait? Would that be a mistake?
Though his questions were answered in the morning when the doorbell rang at 7 am, making the sleepy man sigh as he stumbled to the door with blurry eyes, opening it still half asleep, only the slap he received woke sobered him up quickly,
"OW- WH- WHY ARE YOU JUST LIKE WOOYOUNG!?"
"SHUT UP! DONT TAKE HIS NAME! I HURT HIM BECAUSE OF YOU!" Never in the many years of knowing her, had she raised her voice like that.
"I-"
"NO! LISTEN TO ME!" She yelled before shoving him inside so she could continue yelling inside, "I like you- and you- you d*ck you could tell him you liked me but you couldn't tell me!? All those horrible dates you watched me go to, but you couldn't stop me?! You knew you liked me yet you let Woo ask me out!?"
"I- I didn't wanna ruin what we had..."
"San, I- what if I had married Woo? Huh? Then what? When you already had half my heart, I-"
She couldn't finish her sentence though, because the next thing she knew, he was smothering her with all that pent up love, his lips pressing against hers with a ferocity she had ever seen in her gentle Sannie, wanting to claim what he was too scared to touch before.
He only pulled back when she lightly pushed him back, gasping for air, looking up at him all flushed and pink, her swollen lips just enticing him even more,
"W-what was that?" She breathed out.
"Never say you're marrying anyone but me, I would've ruined the wedding even if it meant being thrown out."
"You're an idiot Sannie."
"No, I just had a teacher who could teach me math, but couldn't teach me how to love properly - guess she was learning too."

When you finally neared the parking entrance to your hotel you were SO looking forward to taking a nice hot shower before shimming into the covers of your crisp, (clean, you hoped) sheets.
It was past 3AM when Saeyoung finally drove his elegant vehicular device (because what other word is there for it) into a secured parking space
“Because I don’t trust those shady valets, y/n.”
“Whatever you say, Seven”, you replied groggily.
You hauled ass up to the front desk, then to the elevator of the exquisite hotel you were staying at
not that you cared

“Not everyone naturally stays up until the early morning light before going to sleep.”
“It really should become a thing, it’s honestly very iconic of me.” (it’s not)
By the time your conversation ended you were glad to see your hotel number and a little key card slot.
Saeyoung made a show of sticking the key card in like a spy or something
it was funny for normal y/n but not for tired y/n
“Here’s your room, M’lady.”
He held the door open to your room as you looked around the room
a large, lush bed set before a ginormous flat screen TV with complimentary expensive chocolates laid before you as well as complimentary take-home elegant towels and slippers.
suddenly, you heard a knock on the door
blinking in confusion, you opened to see it was Saeyoung
“Um.. hey! What’s up?”
Saeyoung looked a bit bewildered himself before saying,
“Hey, so, I realized my key card was the same room number as yours and I was like ‘That’s weird!’ so I called the front desk who verified that I had placed a reservation for one room, not two, so I hacked into their system to see what went wrong and if I could change it but it looks like they’re completely booked and I think I had made the reservation before I knew that you had to come along and I’m so sorry”
he was breathless after the mouthful he just gave you
As it was 3AM a drunk, old woman was tripping her way to her room and shouted much louder than she should at 3AM, “Kiss her already n’ fuck, ya youngin’s!”
Saeyoung’s hair now matched his face :)
His ears were tipped bright red before coughing awkwardly
“I can sleep on the ground. I’ve done it plenty of times, it’s actually pretty comfy.”
“Um, Sev’ I’m not going to make you just sleep on the floor. If you want--”
“You’re not making me, y/n, I want to do this”
“Actually I think I’ll sleep on the floor, I sleep a lot better on the ground”, you fibbed.
“You’re sleeping on that big ass bed.”
“No you are.”
“If you don’t listen I’ll sleep in the bath tub instead of the floor.”
“Then I’LL sleep outside the room!”
“LIKE HELL YOU WILL!”
“WATCH ME”
the phone rang, a worker politely asking you to quiet a bit down because even with your luxurious privacy walls, guests could still hear you arguing.
Saeyoung began whisper shouting, “Guess that settles it.”
he plopped on the ground, fake snoring with his arm as a pillow
you sighed
“Fine, if neither of us are going to agree to this then we are both going to sleep in this bed.”
Saeyoung blushed lightly at your boldness, a tad worried you’d find him creepy or weird
You started again, beginning to undress a little, causing Seven to yelp in panic and turn around immediately, shielding his eyes,
Now in your tank top and your leggings you’d been wearing under sweatpants and a t-shirt, you said, “I’m gonna go take a quick shower and go to bed. I’m so tired.”
Seven turned around only when he’d heard the bathroom door shut
he sighed, What am I going to do with this girl.
By the time you’d come out of the bathroom, drying your wet hair, Seven was lying on the bed, clad in casual t-shirt and jeans.
“Come on, Saeyoung, you have comfy clothes! It’s okay, change! I’m done in the bathroom now.”
“Nah, this is fine.” This was not fine. Saeyoung was out of his area of expertise of expecting the unexpected because God you were so unpredictable.
“Please” you jutted out your bottom lip in a little pout, being sure to make eye contact with him
Something glowered in his eyes for a split second before he half-smiled saying, “Ah, little Y/n, you know I can’t say no to you when you go all sad on me.”
He stepped into the bathroom to change, but let’s be honest. He was freaking the fuck out.
he covered his flushed face, changing into his soft sweatpants and a cozy sweatshirt. he was scared
the more comfortable he became the more likely he’d accidentally get closer to you and then you’d freak out because you’d hear the sound of his heart beat like it’s a fucking rave concert and then you’d be weirded forever and quite possibly never talk to him again
but on the outside, he stepped out of the bathroom, whipping his phone out with a huge smirk saying, “Smile”
you threw up a peace sign with your tongue sticking out
he laughed before sending it to the RFA chat
707: Sleepover lolol [see attachment]
immediately both your phones blew up with buzzes of notifications from the chat
you laughed lightly, brushing a stray hair from your face to tuck it behind your ear
this was gonna be a long night for Seven.
Zen: UGH get away from her!!!!!!!!!111!!1!!
Jumin: Maybe you should learn to type first.
Zen: shut it cat freak
Zen: seven answer
Zen: hey
Zen: y/n, text “qwerty” if you’re in any kind of danger
Jumin: What a strange code.
You: qwerty :(
707: lololololol
Zen: !!!!!
Zen: ASJDHKJFASHFKJA
Jumin: -_-
Zen: WE NEED A CAR, NO A HELICOPTER im omw!!
You: just kidding <3 i’m fine you guys
707: lololol
Jumin: Have a bit more faith in your subordinates, Zen.
You closed the chat and muted your phone, expecting the incoming argument that was quickly to ensue.
You patted the bed lightly, ushering Saeyoung to lie down next to you.
He obliged, though he politely laid at the far edge of the left side of the bed.
You yawned before shutting the light off and whispering a “good night”.
Saeyoung glanced at the clock. 4AM. Only 15 minutes had passed. You were breathing softly in your sleep within the 10 minutes after you’d said goodnight and here he was still awake.
You suddenly tousled in your sleep, and Saeyoung raised his head, whispering a soft, “Did I wake you up?”
You replied with a soft moan before abruptly turning left onto his corner of the bed and grabbing for the first thing you’d felt -- his torso.
Saeyoung’s breath hitched as he felt you exploring the new found “object”, running your fingers up and down his torso and nearing dangerous areas below
Saeyoung whisper-shouted, “What are you doing?”
He leaned closer to hear your reply, but your only answer was more soft little snores
Saeyoung sighed, trying to lightly grab your wrists without waking you up, and directing toward yourself
no matter how hard he’d try, your arms kept finding his own
your nails would softly ghost over his chest or neck, causing him to shiver and blush profusely
again, he sighed, trying his hardest not to give into your sleepy state
until you broke him with a soft utterance, “Sae....young..”
Saeyoung’s eyes widened to the size of saucers before he dared to look down at you, your hair curling on the bed every which-way.. your mouth slightly agap...
he groaned, his brows furrowed and his eyes shut
at last he slunk his arms around your torso, being sure to respectfully keep them high around your waist
he buried his face in the crook of your neck to subconsciously try to hide his ever growing blush (and erection)
I don’t know how much longer I can keep doing this ‘friend’ thing when you’re driving me this crazy, y/n.
You awoke to a sleeping Saeyoung, his toned arms enveloping your small body in a hug
shamelessly, you laid still for a few moments longer.
Yoosung
this bean is lonely uwu
so when he’d invited to you go with him on a trip his uncle had paid for, you felt bad saying “yes” because it’s a paid trip!!
until he begged you because his cousin Chaewon would be there and he was always really pushy and borderline a huge fuck boi
so you conceded
but hey free trip for the both of you minus shitty family gatherings with no one you know, right?!
you hope there’s at least one dog. and alcohol.
dog + alcohol at a party = an actual fun fucking time
you were glad Yoosung was there with you because he honestly couldn’t agree with you more
You opened your beach-side resort room to find there’s only one bed.
Yoosung blanched and quickly dialed his auntie, who’d made the resort reservations
“Ah...hi auntie! Um, how come there isn’t a separate room for me and y/n?”
his aunt cackled into the phone, “Aren’t you an old fashioned little gentlemen!!! Awe~~~ you’ve grown up to be such a good boy! <3 Well don’t worry, I won’t say a word to my sister or your pops. Enjoy the time you have with your adorable girlfriend and get it on a little!! I’ve got condoms if ya need ‘em honey~~ Remember dearie, when the shlong is not covered, the child support better be.”
Yoosung hurriedly hung up the phone, his face completely red, praying you hadn’t heard the conversation that’d just ensued.
You did
but you smile and say, “So.. what’d they say?”
He cleared his throat before saying, “Well, --err.. Basically there’s been a little mishap. B-but don’t worry!! I can just ask Chaewon if I can spend the night in his room.”
“Didn’t you say he leaves a sock on the door handle every time--”
“YES but I want you to be comfortable, okay! It’s really not a big deal.”
You shyly smiled while looking down before softly saying, “You can sleep with me.”
Yoosung’s eyes widened and you quickly looked up, your face flushing to a deep crimson
“I-I-I meant in the bed!!! With me. We can lie together. In the bed---- I mean we--”
Yoosung could practically see the steam coming out of your ears and the room felt a LOT hotter
“S-sure! Sounds great.” he had a feeling if you didn’t agree you’d end up embarrassing yourself further.. and he didn’t want you to feel bad. And he didn’t want those thoughts circulating his mind again.
“Alright, so I’m going to hop in the shower, y/n... unless you want to go first?”
Gulping down some complimentary water you’d found in the hotel mini fridge, you quickly replied with a shake of your head.
Nodding, Yoosung make quick work of washing his hair and trying to give himself a pep talk before he would be sleeping next to you.
Thankful for the big size of the resort bed, you climbed under the covers, already beginning to feel sleep take you
When Yoosung had at last dried himself off and walked out to the bed area of the resort room, he gazed at how small you looked, hugging a soft pillow in your arms, your eyes fluttered shut
He looked away, feeling like a creep.
He shut off the light after making a call to the resort staff to wake him up at 8AM as directed by his uncle’s itinerary
He slid under the covers, shoving a pillow in between the two of you as a little border to separate the two of you
it wasn’t until further in the night when Yoosung had felt a jolt and he looked up in panic, through the blackness recognizing the pillow-border had been cast onto the ground
and even more noticeably, your leg was swung over his hip, your body flush to his own
your arms were snaked around his neck
he felt like he could feel every inch of you
your soft breath just below his ear
your soft .. er.. chest... against his torso
your stomach and .. the rest of it... against his own
Yoosung could not breathe
like someone actually help this man for he is losing oxygen by the minute
He squeezed his eyes shut and make the executive decision to wait it out til morning
he was terrified that if he’d move you, you’d wake up and see just how much you affect him.
And so, when the phone rang that morning, you’d startled, looking up to see your tangled limbs lying on top of his own
“oH MY GOD I’M SO SORRY YOOSUNG UGH IT’S A HABIT OF MINE AHAHHSAHDAJSHS”
he looked at you with eyes that had noticeable circles under them (darker than even after his LOLOL gaming)
“you look like you didn’t sleep much.... --- Is it because of me!? Oh my god I’m so sorry you should’ve just shoved me off or something seriously I didn’t mean to do it on purpose, honest!!”
“N-no, no it’s really not!! I promise!!” He tried his best to grin, though it probably looked like a grimace, because the next thing you said was, “I’ll make it up to you”
“You don’t need to do that. Really, I liked it.”
It took a moment for him to realize what he just said.
“I-I mean I like you! I mean I liked sleeping with you!!! I mean--!!”
Yoosung was quickly spinning circles in his mind
you couldn’t help the little giggle that came out of your mouth, “I guess we’re pretty similar, huh?”
Yoosung smiled lightly, “Yeah, guess so.”
You walked out together toward the breakfast area of the resort
“Hey”, you started, “Is.. Did you mean what you said? About liking me?”
Yoosung glanced away, taking a deep breath before saying, “Yeah, yeah I did. I really like you.”
You couldn’t hold back the big ol’ smile that took over your face as you proudly declared, “Me too!!”
Right when Yoosung was going to go in for a kiss, he saw his auntie suddenly right next to the both of you
“Oh my GOD when did you get here?!”
She smirked, “My question first, dearie, what did you two like?”
Neither of you answered, your cheeks growing red
“You know, the first time your uncle did it with me I felt the same way. Like, what a man! Must run in the fam--”
“OKAY! THANK YOU FOR THAT AUNTIE BUT BREAKFAST IS CALLING MY NAME MM SMELLS GOOD SEE YOU LATER.”
Your blush didn’t leave you as you smeared strawberry cream cheese on your toasted bagel
This trip was going to be very VERY difficult. Thank God there was alcohol. And Yoosung. And probably dogs. And Yoosung.
Yeah.
Gotta love relatives.
Jumin
You received a call from a stern voice you didn’t recognize
<<“Hello. This is Mr. Han’s chauffeur. I’m approximately 6.3 miles away from your residence. Do not worry about clothes or other necessities. All will be provided for you.”>>
“Uh.. thanks? Where....?”
<<“Mr. Han has invited you to join him on his stay at the Ppalgan Vineyard Estates. Have you not received the notification?”>>
You glanced at your phone, seeing two unread messages on your phone.
You read them, feeling bad you hadn’t seen them before.
“Yes, yes of course. Thank you. Tell him I said thank you. Are you sure it’s okay for me to attend?”
<<“Miss Y/L/N, Mr. Han gave me specific instructions to assure you would be able to come with him. I have been ordered to give 2 minute updates following your being picked up. I can assure you, it is his utmost wish that you join him this weekend. I’d be honored to thank him on your behalf, though I feel it would mean much more to him if you said it to him rather than me.” >>
“You’re right, thank you. And thanks for driving me. And for all the other stuff you said”, you replied nervously.
<<”There is no need to thank me, Miss. I am glad to serve Mr. Han in anyway I can.”>>
The call hung up before you could spout out more thank yous
you phone buzzed, startling you.
you clicked the notification
<<(XXX-XXX-XXXX HAN COMPANIES) I’ve arrived at your residence. Let me know if there is anything I can carry for you. Sent 13:52>>
You quickly texted a reply of gratitude before rushing down the stairs out of your apartment, not wanting to make Jumin’s chauffeur wait.
“Good to see you Miss Y/L/N. Is there anything I can get you? I have been given orders to purchase anything you may want or need on our way to the airport.”
He quickly texted something on his phone, presumably a text to Jumin about your safe arrival to his limo.
“A-airport? You mean, like, flying? Are you sure I don’t need my wallet? It’s not too late for me to go grab it, right? I have my debit card on my phone too, otherwise.”
“Miss Y/L/N you are not to spent a single won on this vacation. All is paid for.”
“But my clothes... I don’t want Jumin to have to pay for all new things!!”
"I assure you, money is not something Mr. Han wishes for you to be concerned with.”
You’d stayed silent at that, feeling bad that you’d already bothered the poor man who’d just been ordered to drive you, not reassure you of Jumin’s financial affairs.
You grew quiet, looking out the window as trees, streets, and cars zoomed past you.
“If you so wish, there are numerous meals options in the compartments below the seats as well as alcohol, carbonated beverages and iced water glasses. You are, of course, welcome to any of these. Please do not hesitate to notify me if there is something you’d like instead. We’d glad to make it a regular option in all of our limousines.”
You flushed, embarrassed at the amount of power Jumin’s words, and effectively, your own seemed to have on the entire Han Conglomerate as a whole. You laughed a little, it was funny thinking to yourself that you had so much power as to decide snack options for Jumin’s cars.
Jumin was extra like that, he always went above and beyond to make you comfortable. You loved that about him. It made you feel a little spoiled, so you instinctively rejected most offers at things that seemed to further complicate his worker’s duties.
You had no idea that when the chauffeur had said airport he meant the Han Private Airway Transportation Zone.
As in... private jet.
It was hard not to feel like you were in a whole different world.
Not that Jumin treated you that way... but it was hard not to notice!
You bowed in thanks to the driver before hastily finding your way to the nearest man standing in another black suit, his hands folded together in front of him.
As soon as you uttered your name, his whole demeanor changed and he instantly had gone from cool and collected to humble and overwhelmingly kind.
He’d quickly made his way to the boarding area, escorting you to the jet before leaving you at a polite distance way from Jumin who’d been looking at you from the moment you’d entered the aircraft.
His eyes searched your own as you’d yet to discover his presence
He couldn’t help but rake his eyes up and down your body, admiring the way you could look just in anything.
He at last saw you searching the spacious cabin, at last laying eyes on him.
His heart pounded faster, as if your noticing him made his heart leap in joy
You looked relieved and smiled, running over to him and sitting down next to him
“Hi Jumin!! Oh, should I be calling you Mr. Han? That’s what your chauffeur called you.. sorry if that’s what I should’ve been addressing you as!!”
His deep voice rumbled in your ear, causing you to shudder, “Jumin is fine.”
You gazed up at him through your lashes, noticing the way his perfectly tailored vest made him look so... well... for lack of better word...hot.
“Wow. You look...” Your eyes moved from his hair, to his face, to his neck, to his torso, slowly to his groin, to his legs... before you realized what you’d been doing and quickly your eyes shot up again.
You bit your lip, “You look nice.”
“Nice?”
You laughed shyly, and slightly (embarrassingly) breathless, “Yeah. Yeah you do. Nice.”
Jumin couldn’t help the sly smile he’d been holding back before replying, “You look beautiful.”
You flushed and looked down, squirming in your seat a little before looking at him once more, offering a small, “..thank you..”
After a few minutes of silence, you’d decided to change the subject, chattering on about how you wondered what this mysterious vacation would hold
Jumin couldn’t help is concentration half on every word you were saying, but also your lips. Slowly licking his own, he nodded along when you’d gotten especially enthusiastic, grinning slightly when you’d gotten so excited you’d leapt out of your luxury seat.
Within a half hour of the trip to your destination in Italy, Jumin had trouble concentrating on much else.
Get it together, Jumin, you’re not some fool like Zen.
It’d gotten worse the more you’d leaned further in your seat, your chest becoming slightly exposed
he covered his mouth with a hand, opting for looking out one of the many windows of the jet.
You’d always caught his attention and made him lose his focus -- something he’d never lost before he met you
He blamed the strawberry sent that you’d always carried with you
He wasn’t much for expensive, faux perfume that so many of his father’s skanks would wear... it was like no other.
After a few hours of grueling torture on your part (though you hadn’t know every single time you’d grabbed his hand or arm it’d sent his heart on a sky dive) Jumin was glad to have arrived in the gorgeous Italian acreage of the countryside.
It was even more beautiful at the dusk of night, you’d decided
Immediately a shiny vehicle pulled up, ready to transport you and Jumin to the estate you were to be residing in for the weekend.
Upon pulling into the culdesac, you almost scoffed at the word “estate” -- it was more of a country in and of itself, land stretched beyond what you could see
The mansion itself stood on pillars and high, Gothic windows.
Inside, flying buttresses decorated the building, giving it an elegant and aged ambiance that you just adored
“It’s so beautiful.”
He smiled at you then, watching you take in the wonders he’d realized he took for granted.
He was then directed to a double-door entrance way, “Your room, Mr. Han, Miss Y/L/N.”
“Separate, correct?”
The man stood in surprise, looking slightly aghast, “T-they never specified such details.”
“Contact them immediately to confirm. I’ll work it out from there.”
“Yes, Mr. Han.” From there, the man scurried away to contact the head of the estate.
After a few moments, he returned, “The Rossi Conglomerate had assumed that you’d brought your fiance with you.”
“Did you mention I don’t have one?”
“Y-yes, of course! But, Mr. Han, your father--”
Jumin sighed, “I’ll take care of it.” with a wave of his hand, the man was gone
You thanked him on his way out.
Jumin looked at you, searching for a reaction of displeasure or worry
When he didn’t find one, he began, “I was notified the Rossi had booked their other estates to their American investors. My being here is a formality, but it is business. It would be a great discourtesy to demand--”
You smiled reassuringly, “Jumin, don’t worry about it.. we’ll share the bed, okay?” You held your hand in his own, rubbing soothing circles on his knuckles.
Jumin looked at you, choking on his spit slightly.
“Y/N you do understand that--”
“It’s fine, Jumin!! It’s late already, I’ll just put up my hair.. and.. do you know where the night clothes would be?”
He watched as you fixed a bobby pin between your teeth before running your fingers through your hair, watching as you arched your back to--
“Jumin? ...you don’t know?”
He cleared his throat, looking away, pink dusting his cheeks
“Bathroom.”
You thanked him, unaware of his watchful eyes
It had been a few seconds since you’d entered the bathroom before he heard a loud and alarmed, “..UM....JUMIN...?!”
He’d quickly made his way into the bathroom
“What’s wro--”
He looked and laying on the long granite island of the large bathroom was a silky set of lingerie as well as a note in Italian you couldn’t read.
Jumin’s words stopped dead on his lips as he stared at you, then the silky underwear set, you, silky underwear, you.......silky underwear.
On the outside, Jumin liked to think he came off as calm and collected, saying, “I can get you something else to wear.”
But when he’d made it two steps out of the bathroom he had a little collision. And by collision, I mean his face.. and the wall.
He looked in every drawer, finding nothing. He presumed clothes would be delivered as specified. But it was late already.. their servants are dismissed, only the protective guards surrounded the inside and outside of the estate.. explaining the situation to them didn’t seem very promising.
Of course you were kicking yourself, before you’d found their little....gift... you’d cast your days clothes into the washer. They were probably soaked by now.
Maybe I could use a hair dryer...? Or I could stuff them in the dryer??
Either way you’d be without clothes for.. too long.
And nothing would be greater punishment then showing all that in front of the man you had completely fallen for...
You heard a knock on the bathroom door. You listened from inside.
“Hey, I, uh, couldn’t find anything. Do you think you could wear your clothes from today?”
You whimpered, on the verge of tears, “I already put it in the washer!”
He knocked again, “Can I hand you something?”, he asked, undoing the buttons of his formal shirt.
“C-close your eyes!”
Jumin chuckled darkly before covering his eyes and handing her his collared shirt
“I’d give you the pants, too, but I don’t think they’d really fit you. Could you look at what they’d provided for me? Maybe slip on something from mine.”
“N-no! That’d be even worse for me!! .. and you!” You blushed again imagining him half naked
You hurriedly shuffled through the drawers, but to no avail.
You gulped, slipping on the lingerie to ensure that maybe something would be covered before buttoning Jumin’s formal shirt on you as well.
it was so big it didn’t leave much for the imagination
but you decided through a 10 minute pep talk that you’d suck it up and try your best to make his shirt into a night gown.
You at last stepped out of the bathroom, Jumin’s head shooting toward the sudden noise before taking you in
He could scarcely breathe, much less come up with a coherent sentence
you were in his shirt...
with barely any clothes on underneath
and you looked up at him shyly, biting your lip a little
drawing even more attention to your lips
Jumin had to stifle a groan, opting to head to the bathroom to change
After splashing some cold water on his face in a poor attempt to get his head out of the gutter, he quickly got on his pjs
after you both were ready for bed, Jumin sat on the bed, opening a small novel he’d been enjoying, Anthem.
His attention was immediately diverted from the dystopian fiction when he saw you were stretching
His shirt rode up high as he took in the way the lingerie perfect accentuated your curves, though it didn’t cover much below the waist
Noticing your folly, your eyes widened in shock before you immediately put your hands down
which, just your luck, made it all worse.
the sudden movement disheveled the shirt, causing it to ride down completely on one side, openly displaying the soft brassiere beneath it
Jumin slammed his book so hard it left an echo in the large room.
Great. He couldn’t even make it look like his book was suddenly unbelievably interesting that he just so happened to not take notice of the obvious sight before him.
You blanched, feeling a breeze along your shoulder, gasping before running to your side of the bed and pretending you don’t exist anymore
Meanwhile Jumin is in a  c r i s i s
In the most eloquent of words, his mind said holy fucking motherfucking shit oh my God fuck fuck fuck AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH oh my god shit shit shit fuck shit sdfasodjgiajsidogjosdg MALFUNCTION!! WARNING!!!! RUN BITCH!!!
But Jumin didn’t run
because mama ain’t raise no bitch
but also because if he stood up it would be blatantly obvious that he had--
Stop thinking about it, Jumin.
He tried to redirect his mind to his 5 senses, a grounding technique he’d learned when he got too anxious when he was younger
But sight seemed to dominate it as his mind replayed your facial expressions, the way your hands awkwardly tried to cover yourself up, the way you looked the way he’d take it all off---
Oh God. I’m deep in shit.
He had never been so pissed at himself... and embarrassed.
He looked over at you, a horrible decision, really.
You were still awake, your face was redder than the strawberry sent that adorned you
“s-sorry..” you whispered, willing yourself to try to forget, “pretend that never happened..”
Jumin was practically feral and you were saying it never happened?
Jumin couldn’t just pretend he didn’t just see a fucking goddess
but he would for you
“..........pretend what never happened?”
You sighed, a small smile on your face as you quickly turned to thank him
but he was a LOT closer than you imagined
he was propped up on one elbow, looking down at you, his head slightly angled.
And suddenly your faces weren’t so far apart.
And you couldn’t help but slowly close your eyes
Jumin felt confusion when you’d done this
he can be a bit of a pea brain, so he of course said, “I’m sure you’re very tired.”
He shut off the light, reaching over you
You held back the big frown you’d gotten when you realized he’d rejected you
unbeknownst to you that it took everything in him, from the moment he’d saw you in the jet cabin, not to scoop you up in his arms and make out with you the whole way there.
Zen
Was Zen going to invite you to his own fucking tour?
Of course he was
he liked flexing his connections
and most of all, showing you just how much he cared about you
and loved you
but not the love part because God if you ever found out Zen might jump into the nearest body of water and never return
not that he didn’t have any confidence
he has lots of it
but it all kind of disintegrates when he gets to talking about his real feelings
But come on, it was blatantly obvious to anyone who had heckin eyes
or ears
or just any functioning body
the way he’d try to subtly throw an arm over your shoulder
or he’d lean in whenever you spoke
or the way he’d readjust his posture when you walked into a room
or the way everyone caught him staring
like anytime you weren’t looking
or when you are looking because he is “built different”
So the limo ride to the fancy hotel he was to stay at was something that had him looking forward to the tour, but also dreading it
you’d sat close to him in the limo because his agent and other workers were sitting along with him.
So close that your ass got pushed further and further onto his lap
because damn where the fuck are we and why are there so many goddamn potholes
Zen tried to steady you by firmly grabbing your hips
which was NOT the move
because now that you were firmly set on his lap, every bump felt like a fucking war against his hormones.
Like a gentleman, he quickly opted to seat you next to him, not wanting you to feel embarrassed
still, he could feel you being pulled closer to him with every long turn the limo made or every bump or abrupt stop
and it was torture.
like this man is sweating
but by some miracle you arrive at the hotel in one piece! Yay!
but Zen’s soul has left his body~~
so you get set up
You open the room, “Look, Zen! This bed is HUGE!!”, you ran over to it and plopped your face onto the sheets
He chuckled, watching you act like a little kid excited about a hotel for the first time
his brows furrowed when he realized there was no door separator between your rooms
He immediately called the front desk
all you could over hear was “No, there seems to be some kind of mistake”
and “I reserved two rooms -- conjoined”
“Alright, ok. Thanks.” and then he hung up.
“So..” he sighed, “They can’t get another room because they’re completely booked. Someone must’ve recognized the limo and lots of fans immediately bought up all the rooms in hopes of seeing me.”
“It’s alright Zen! I can ask to switch with your agent or something!!”
“NO!” Zen said a little too loudly. “No. Um, look it would be bad because he’s a man.”
“Your a dude, too, Zen.”
“I-- yeah, but that’s different because I’m a guy you can trust.”
“True..”
“So I’ll sleep on the couch, ‘kay?”
“Zen, no! You need your beauty sleep to be ready for your performance tomorrow!!!”
“It’s alright, really!”
“I’ll sleep on the couch!”
“Like hell you will.”
“Please :(”
“Y/N, seriously--”
“Then how about this! You and I just sleep in the same bed!”
Ever the dramatic soul, Zen gasped with his palm over his heart “How SCANDALOUS!”
“Aren’t you supposed to be Mr. Playboy?”
“Only for you, baby”, he winked.
You stuttered, “T-that’s not funny! Seriously don’t make it weird you horn- dog!”
He threw his head back in laughter, “Horn-dog?! I thought you said you trusted me!”
“Not when you’re obviously thinking about doing this and that to me!!”
“Doing this and tha---Hey! Who do you think I am?!”
There was suddenly a loud bang on the wall and a burly man shouted, “GO TO FUCKIN’ SLEEP YOU OBNOXIOUS, SEXUALLY FRUSTRATED LITTLE SHITS!”
You smirked, holding in a laugh saying, “Sounds like your fans are getting jealous.”
Zen’s mouth dropped and you began laughing hysterically
“T-that was like a 60 year old man!”
“I’M 42 YOU LITTLE SHIT”
You fell back on the bed, laughing louder
Zen shouted back, “WELL EXCUSE ME, SEXY, 42 YEAR OLD MAN”
There was silence before a harsh knock sounded at your door
All Zen’s bravado disintegrated and he made a dash for the bed, whispering loudly for you to “Turn off the fuckin’ lights, turn off the fuckin’ lights!”
You stifled more giggles rising up to your throat as you clicked off the light, making sure the room was locked, and climbed into bed
you breathed out your last laughs, sighing to yourself contentedly before noticing the close proximity you were to Zen
You stared at each other for a long moment
You leaned in closer
Zen placed a palm on your cheek, gently cupping it
he softly whispered, “Can I kiss you?”
You answered by harshly connecting your lips
The two of you feeding off each other’s oxygen as Zen bit your lip, causing you to gasp and open your mouth to make way for his tongue
you whimpered, feeling faint from lack of oxygen
the two of you parted, out of breath
Zen wanted to say something smooth like “I’ve always wanted to do that.”
but instead he said “I’ve always wanted to do you.”
He mentally smacked his head, blaming the lack of oxygen for his stupidity
But you smirked up at him coyly, replying, “Then why don’t you?”
Um yeah rip your hotel neighbor he will literally hate both of you so much
I had honestly SO MUCH FUN writing this!! Let me know if you want, like, a part two to this. I think I’d just be so fun lol

pls talk more about arthur being a little damsel-y because I loved that too AND THEY ARE ADORABLE (plus they're both impulsive, just in different ways, and it's hilarious)
Okay, keep in mind I am no movie critic and therefore probably won’t explain anything well enough. I’m just going to scream more about Aquaman because… yes. Spoilers ahoy!
Also, this will go under a cut because, lol, this got long. Is anyone surprised?
From what I remember of the ONE media class I took (aka I’m no expert and probably shouldn’t be tackling this topic but here we are), the male damsel in distress is never as in dire need as the female damsel - aka the men usually get themselves out of the situation to show off their amazing I USED A PACK OF GUM TO EXTRACT MYSELF FROM MY HANDCUFFS, EVADE 150 GUARDS, AND JUMP A MOAT escaping skills. Most of them are saved by men OR, if they are saved by a woman, the woman usually has to use her “feminine whiles” to do so, if you know what I mean.
Thankfully, Arthur is always saved by women and they never have to be sexual to do it. Instead, the women kick ass so hard that I was clutching my arm rest to keep from jumping up and down. I wouldn’t go so far as to say Arthur is a full-blown damsel in distress. Arthur is very capable of holding his own (he’s a hero for a reason), but there were many moments where he needed help to either get out of trouble and/or evade death. So, yeah, he got damsel in distress-y (and truly so - not the shitty male version).
The first time Arthur is saved is by Atlanna. Instead of his father being the BAMF, it’s his mother kicking Atlantian ass (I have never been more attracted to Nicole Kidman). Tom cowers in the corner, shielding Arthur from danger. The only time Arthur witnesses Tom get in on the action is to throw Atlanna her trident (we love a supportive partner). Tbh, the one true damsel in this film is Tom. A lover, not a fighter. I like to believe that this is what gives Arthur his softness - growing up with a father figure as sweet and kind as Tom. I understand Arthur is a child here, but I feel like this scene is pivotal in explaining Arthur’s respect for women and why he doesn’t feel emasculated by a woman saving him. Atlanna sacrifices herself to protect her family; a sacrifice Arthur later opposes Mera take, btw. The love between his parents reflects his own gentleness towards Mera; a pureness mirroring the true love his parents have. But, I digress.
The second time Arthur needs saving is less obvious, so you can choose whether or not to count it. Arthur gets lost after the tsunami hits and cannot find his dad until Mera, the glowing goddess of his dreams, comes to the rescue. Arthur finds Tom not breathing and panics until Mera, once again, helps. Arthur immediately asks her name so he can properly thank her. Had Arthur alone found his dad, the panic would have taken over and he wouldn’t have been able to save him. Knowing Arthur’s impulsivity and proclivity to fight-first-ask-later, he surely would’ve lashed out at Orm and gotten himself killed. Mera saves both men, one from near-death and the other preemptively from his own floundering impulsivity.
The third time Arthur needs saving, he doesn’t get it immediately and we get to see the consequences of that. During the meeting with Vulko and Mera, Vulko prevents Mera from intervening in the attack. Arthur is subsequently arrested and impulsively agrees to duel Orm (ffs, Arthur) where he gets his ass kicked. He surely would have died had Mera not provided an escape. Instead of helplessly watching from the sidelines, Mera realizes it is an execution and saves Arthur. Arthur never says he could have handled it; is never angry that she intervened. Instead, he asks her what the plan is, trusting she is already ten steps ahead of him. At this point, Mera has had no need of saving, yet Arthur has. A reversed trope I can appreciate. Only after Mera has provided the initial escape does Arthur finally help save her (and himself) from recapture. However, this situation isn’t as clear. There is no guarantee that they would have been captured. For all we know, they could have swam amidst the pod of whales and escaped. Mera provided the dire escape, Arthur provided a secondary (and less needed, imo) escape. Arthur saved Mera here, but she saved him first.
The fourth instance isn’t that Arthur needs saving but that he passes out in Mera’s arms. When they get attacked in Italy, they split up. No panic for the other since they both know that they are capable of holding their own. In tons of movies there are instances when the hero sees the heroine being attacked, stops to watch, and is either hurt or attempts to intervene. That doesn’t happen in this movie. Mera kicks her own ass and the camera pans intermittently between her fight and Arthur’s. The difference is, Mera doesn’t pass out in the end. Arthur does. In her arms. As she repeats his name to try to awaken him. Arthur won his fight, but took really hard hits while Mera barely gets scratched. There aren’t many instances in films where both the hero and heroine fight their own battles only to reunite and have the hero pass out in the heroine’s arms. Mera gets to scream Arthur’s name in fear for his life and later hold his unconscious body. Yes, give me that sweet AquaMera content, I beg of you, DC.
Arthur isn’t waiting to be saved by the end of the film, but there are so many moments throughout where he gets a little damsel-y. His impulsivity and reliance on brute strength gets him in trouble and he needs to be bailed out by Mera. They are minor instances that are fascinating to behold, and I love it. Mera is saved less frequently in less serious instances by Arthur. In fact, the only time she gets truly hurt (with Arthur screaming her name BYE) and nearly dies, she is rescued by another woman - Atlanna. My favourite moments are when Mera and Arthur are both fighting their own battles, not needing the other to be saved, and playing off each other’s abilities and strengths (this is probably best demonstrated during the boat battle scene). None of the ladies need to display their body parts to save the hero or flirt or any of that nonsense. They get by with their own abilities and are just as capable as the men, if not more so. I mean, Karathen (the big scary monster guarding the trident) is voiced by Julie Andrews - the women are just superb in this film. They are allowed to save the men without it being thrown in their face or be ridiculed. They are allowed to be emotionally vulnerable, just as the men are. The kindness and badassery by using that kindness in this film is outstanding, honestly.
Aquaman is a nice balance between male and female strength. Arthur is allowed to rely on the women in his life. The moments when he gets damsel-y are focused on and are used to forward the plot whereas Mera’s moments of “being saved” are simply moments the film seems to gloss over - unusual for hero films and, honestly, movies in general.
Sorry that this got super lengthy and took me a while to get to. It’s probably not what you were expecting, anon, but I love screaming about Aquaman. Thanks~

What’s left of Hardy
Trope: Hurt/comfort
Rating: general audiences
Word count: ~1900
Summary: Hannah always calls Hardy on New Year’s Day, but this year she thought he could use more than a call.
Tumblr masterpost | AO3 | 12 Tropes AO3 Collection
Set between S1 and S2 of Broadchurch
Hardy glanced at his phone for what felt like the tenth time in the last minute. He shook his head at his own foolishness and threw the mobile to the other end of the couch. Last he had heard, Hannah had a new book and a new boyfriend. Calling him would only depress her, why would she bother? But she always called, every year, on New Year’s Day. Usually she was the one who needed to talk to him, not the other way around.
Hardy sighed and returned his attention to some holiday special with Jimmy Carr— but why always Jimmy Carr?
He didn’t understand any of the jokes about politics, he was too out of touch with the world outside of his work. These tragedies he could do something about, albeit not as much as he wished.
Stretching across the sofa, he reached for his phone again.
I could give ring her.
Chasing the thought away, Hardy stood up and crossed the room to the kitchen to put the kettle on. Calling her, now that was a recipe for disaster. He cringed, remembering the last time he’d talked to her: he’d only just found out about Tess’s infidelity and, between his anger and desire to remain levelheaded, he’d been incoherent at best.
No wonder she hadn’t called him this year.
The kettle’s whistle pulled him out of his embarrassing recollection. Mug in hand, he returned to the living room where his eyes wandered to the locked drawer containing his Sandbrook case files. He could visit Claire, perhaps the holiday spirit would make her confess.
Hardy changed out of his t-shirt and sweatpants then remembered Claire had left Broadchurch to visit her family in Wales. He’d argued against that decision; Lee Ashworth would know where to find her. But in the end, he couldn’t keep her from her family. Probably for the best. No doubt she would have seen through his poor excuse and detected his loneliness.
A silhouette passed behind the bedroom curtains, and his stomach twisted in a knot of fear.
Lee Ashworth?
Hardy rushed out of the bedroom just as someone knocked on the door. He took a careful peek between the venetian blinds. What he saw made his heart beat faster: blond curls and a yellow coat; sunshine incarnate on the longest night of the year.
“What are you doing here?”
“Happy New Year to you too.” Hannah pecked his lips. “I thought you could use more than a phone call this year.”
She thrusted a paper bag in his arms, its content clinked.
“Alcohol?”
“Where are your glasses?” she asked, making her way to the kitchen. “Christ. What kind of shabby place is this?”
“Did you come all the way here to insult my home?”
“Amongst other things.”
She smirked and kissed his cheek. He pretended to be annoyed.
Hannah pulled a champagne bottle out of the paper bag, but there was something else in there: a book. Her book to be precise, entitled “New Experiences” with a strip of lace and manacles pictured on the cover. He’d have to hide it, he could only imagine Ellie’s reaction if she discovered an erotic novel in his house— if she ever came back from Devon that is.
“It’s a gift,” she explained as she popped opened the bottle.
“Classy.”
Inside the cover, he found a dedication: “May the new year bring you some ’new experiences’ of your own. Love, Hannah.”
“God’s sake, Han.”
“What? It’s true, you’re in your forties and recently divorced, it’s the best time to have a midlife crisis and get kinky with the secretary. Please tell me you shagged someone at the office party.”
He rolled his eyes. “Insults, champagne and erotica.”
“And my charming personality, of course.”
“Of course.”
She clinked her glass to his, and they took a sip, holding each other’s gaze.
“What happened to, erm…”
“Jeremy? Yeah, he dumped me before Christmas.”
“Bugger him.”
She shrugged and pulled the cowl neck of her tunic to her cheek. “He’s not that bad, just still in love with his ex. He’s a copper, did I tell you?” She smiled wistfully. “Guess I have a type.”
Hardy choked on his champagne. A type? What did that mean? Before he could ask, she’d moved to the living room.
“God is that Jimmy Carr again?”
They settled on the couch and she took control of the remote, flipping through channels. He sat ramrod straight, staring at her. She glanced his way, and he quickly turned to the television.
Now that the shock of her arrival had worn off, he wondered why she had come here. This year of all years. He mentally braced himself. Raising an inner shield against all the feelings rising to the surface in her presence.
She turned sideways to face him. “So, how was your year?”
“No. I’m not doing that.”
“Why not?”
“This year was shite and you know it.”
She brought her feet up on the couch and encircled her knees. With a frown, she glanced at his untouched glass of champagne. She pressed her lips in a compassionate smile. When she looked at him, he thought of that machine coroners use to reveal subdermal bruising. She could see right through him, she always could. She detected the pain he was trying to hide. Emotions swelled in him. He hated it. He didn’t want to connect with that miserable part of him: the heartache and hopelessness. The nightmares were bad enough. It was all better left buried, somewhere under his ribcage, smothering his heart.
“You alright?” she asked.
“Yep. Fine. You?”
“You’re not fine.”
“I told you: I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Why not? You need to.”
He glared at her. “I’m not one of those-- those pathetic men who pay 300 quid to cry in your arms for an hour.”
“You just had to bring my job into that.” She crossed her arms.
He didn’t reply, just stared away.  He could feel the dizziness coming, a spell of lightheadedness that he tried to breathe away.
“Is that all you’ve got?” Hannah taunted him.
Arguments were not exactly a rare occurrence between them. They usually lasted longer. They enjoyed it in a way, it was familiar, and once the anger was out of the way, they could get to real feelings. His refusal to engage spoke volumes.
They watched the rest of the show in silence. Her fidgeting betrayed her discomfort. Neither of them laughed at any of the jokes.  As the credits rolled, she announced her departure. His attempts to hold her back were lackluster.
She sniffed as she put on her coat, but refused to meet his eyes when he spoke her name.
It took him an hour to get off his high horse and admit what a knob he’d been. It took another hour to work up the courage to call her and apologize. And she made him work for it.
“Alright then, come to the Trader’s.”
“What?”
She’d been too upset to endure a two-hour train journey and had checked in at the hotel instead.
“Besides I knew you would call and beg for forgiveness.”
Her words reeked of smugness, but he recognized hope in them too. She’d stayed in Broadchurch. She’d hoped.  And if he was being honest, as grumpy as his agreement to meet her may have sounded, there was hope in him too.
Hardy walked out in the cold to the hotel and ignored Becca’s quizzical gaze. He headed straight to Hannah’s room.
It looked the same as the one he’d rented for too long, but flipped. Hannah sitting on the bed, reminded him of how much he’d wished for her presence this year. And now she was here, sitting on the bed.
“You alright?” he asked her.
“Yeah. Fine… I don’t know what I was thinking coming here.”
She chuckled and there was a hint of nervousness to it. She picked at the hole in her jeans. He sat down beside her, elbows on knees. He had to ask.
“Why did you come here?”
“I always call you on New Year’s eve.”
“Yeah-- call.”
“But there’s always, you know, Tess or Daisy. This year you were alone.”
“I’m not lonely.”
“No, I didn’t mean like that… I meant, you’re alone so we can be alone.”
“Alone together.”
“Yeah.”
He searched her face, trying to decipher her meaning before his heart got carried away.
“What? Don’t look so shocked. It’s been ages since we hung out.”
“Right.”
“And I worried about you.”
“Han…” he warned.
“I know, I know. I’m not asking. It’s just, I thought you would call again. You called me after Tess… Then I saw you on the news. That poor boy. I thought you’d call again.”
“Did you want me to?”
“I guess I’d hoped… with the divorce-- I don’t know.”
And there was that voice of hers, faint, childish almost. A reminder that her confidence was just as much a façade for her as it was for him.
He’d never let himself think about her that way. Not when he was a father and a husband. But now… he swallowed thickly. His fingers itched to reach for her. Could he? Just for one night. To have her against him. Her warmth, he perfume, her laughter. His heart ached for it, but he didn’t trust himself. The walls he’d built around his heart were no match to the strength of her smile, and once they crumbled who knew what would pour out. Nothing good would come out of that. Not in the long term that is, short term, well, she would be in his arms and if that wasn’t the very definition of good, he didn’t know what was.
“It’s so hard to tell how you’re doing.” She shifted to her knees, closer to him. Her eyes scanned his face, and he jutted his chin out, clenching his jaw in a stoic mask. The look in her eyes softened. She reached for his cheek but he shrank away. She dropped her hand to his chest. Under her touch, it filled with a sharp breath. She cocked her head with a sympathetic smile.
“Han don’t—”
“I like the scruff.”
“You don’t.”
“I do. It’s very rawr, you know.”
He chuckled and it released some tension from his shoulders. When she touched his cheek, he didn’t wince. His beard bristled under her thumb. He fought the feeling, he really did, but still his eyes fluttered shut.
“Alec…”
“I’m fine.”
“Okay.”
He opened his eyes, surprised she’d dropped the subject so easily.
“Okay?”
“Yeah. I think… to tell you the truth I think I’m the one who’s not well.” A twinkle in her eyes betrayed her strategy. “Can I get a cuddle? It’s for me, not for you, I swear.”
“I know what you’re doing.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she sing-sang, wrapping her arms around his waist.
His hand hovered behind her head, and with a sigh, he relented and caressed her hair.
“It’s not a cuddle unless both your arms are around me,” she remarked.
“You’re a lot of work, you know that.” He hugged her-- with both arms. “Thank you.”
He rested his cheek on top of her head, making sure she wouldn’t see him tearing up.
