He does.

For a very short time. It's more of a stubble than a beard like the one you shared above. As we know, Magnus can't grow his hair/beard, get tattoos (like a lot of models).

We will see a brief appearance :)

i have! i used wheeler yuta for xiao for a while! honestly since godfrey gao's passing, i've shifted fcs for him a lot. i have trouble really capturing his face now that i don't use gg (and won't, since i feel it's disrespectful), but yuta came close enough. also the wrestling/bloody aspect felt v in character for the man.

during this period i used japanese/joshi wrestler kairi on and off for haru as well (at the time it was between her and rina takeda, this was prior to finding keiko, her current fc)!

It doesn’t really change anything about the overall point of your response, you’re right about all that, but just a nitpick: ShadowHunters may have used Netflix for distribution in certain countries, but Netflix was not involved in creating it. That was Freeform/ABC Family, a Disney owned network.

Yeah, I know that, but I pretty much blame everyone involved for the absolute trainwreck that show was. Except for the cast, they admitted the series didn't make justice to the books.

Besides, it was because of Netflix's involvement that the series became so mainstream in such short time, and it infuriates me because ever since it did there are the "live-action only" fans who directly attack the books (which I've said are not perfect) and Cassandra Clare (who's also not perfect) with their fatphobia and said she was "just jealous" of the success of the series. Dude, she is the reason why this series even exists!! And don't make me start with the whole "Harry Shum is a better Magnus Bane than Godfrey Gao" discourse after Godfrey's death!

My point remains, that's why I brought up Shadowhunters only when I was addressing the issue of the audience. Those viewers are toxic people and maybe I'm generalizing and blaming the platform for something out of their control, but after the Godfrey vs. Harry thing, I can't bring myself to care about anything remotely related to that series.

P.S.: Godfrey Gao will always be my Magnus Bane 🥺🥺🥺
