Long writing under the cut!

Penelope sighed with nerves, smiling back at Magnolia in the mirror when the cat demon gave her a thumbs-up and a nod from behind her.

“It’s time to depart,”

Alastor said as he opened the door and leaned into the room, his eyes immediately finding Magnolia and his grin widened. “You look just as amazing as you did this morning, my darling.” the deer demon said, delighting in the way Magnolia’s ears flattened and her face flushed.

“Al! it’s Penelope’s day! complement her instead! or at least first!”

Magnolia insisted, pointing towards the chameleon demon, even while Penelope shook her head.

“Maggie, he doesn’t have to-”

“Of course, you look perfect, Miss Penelope,” Alastor interrupted, then holding out his arm for Magnolia, who quickly wrapped her arms around it. “I wish you nothing but a bliss filled day today. now, shall we, my darling?”

Magnolia smiled up at Alastor, her eyes bright. she looked back at Penelope after a moment, who was picking up her bouquet. “I’ll be just a few steps in front of you, don’t worry.” Magnolia said, waiting for Penelope to nod at her before she allowed Alastor to lead her out of the room.

Penelope took one more long look at herself in the mirror, took a deep breath, and squared her shoulders before she followed, waiting for Alastor and Magnolia to walk down the aisle arm-in-arm before she herself did as well.

All her fears and doubts that were swirling around in her head melted away when Penelope raised her head and saw Tom waiting for her at the altar, and Penelope skipped forward, only being stopped from running to him by the pair in front of her. she abandoned her slow pace as soon as both Alastor and Magnolia were stationed properly, rushing forward until she reached Tom.

“Hi, honey,”

Tom’s eye shone as he looked at Penelope, a mouth not needed to know that he was grinning a mile wide as he stood before his wife-to-be.

“Hi,” Penelope couldn’t help grinning, handing her bouquet to Magnolia, who handed it to Alastor, who set it down, before Penelope linked her fingers with Tom’s, only tilted her head to show she heard when Charlie began to address them, mostly ignoring the hell princess as she spoke.

“Tom Trench, do you take Penelope to be your hell-fully wedded wife?”

Penelope tuned back in at that, a giddy feeling bursting within her when Tom responded with no hesitation with an “of course I do, more than anything.”

“And Penelope, do you take Tom Trench to be your hell-fully wedded husband?”

“Yes! I do!” Penelope squeaked, not taking her eyes off of Tom to see Charlie’s own wide smile.

“Then, by the power instilled in me by being the princess of hell, daughter of King Lucifer and Queen Lilith, I now pronounce you husband and wife. you may kiss.”

“Get it, girl!”

Angel Dust shouted from his seat beside Husk, who tried to shush him immediately with a scowl, the spider demon only laughing when Magnolia held out her hand, Alastor cupping his hands so she could lean into him so she could yank off a heel and toss it at the other. “Husk, be a dear and get me my shoe?” Magnolia asked sweetly, a flutter of her lashes thrown in for good measure. Husk snickered and tossed the heel back, Alastor snatching it out of the air just as predicted and slipping it back on Magnolia’s foot, the radio demon laying a kiss on her ankle before letting her stand on her own once again.

Penelope’s smile only grew as this was going on, her eyes never leaving Tom as he leaned to kiss her. the chameleon throwing her arms around his neck before he fully got to her and jumping up to smash her lips against his own nonexistent set. Tom quickly catching her around the waist and holding her as they kissed. Penelope peppered his face completely with kisses before she wrapped her hands around Tom’s cheeks and gave him a deep kiss, the crowd around the hotel falling into applause, only then did she get set down.

“I love you,” Tom said, not letting go of Penelope’s hand, depositing a kiss upon the soft brown skin. “I love you so much. you’re the best thing that ever happened to me, and I had to die and get to hell to find you.”

Penelope felt tears prick at her eyes as her new husband spoke, her skin tone going a soft blushing pink as she was even more overcome with emotions. “I love you too,” she whispered, letting her tears fall, cupping Tom’s face with her free hand and bumping her forehead against his.

Magnolia May wiped her tears away, joy fully written on her face as she watched the happy couple. “Why can’t you be that utterly sweet?” Magnolia joked, glancing over at Alastor, sticking her tongue out at him when Alastor whipped his head around to look at her. “Why!” Alastor started; his voice just as tinged with humor. “My darling kitten, I thought I was rather kind and loving as it is? but if you would like me to be blunter with my affections, that can be arranged,”

Magnolia yipped as the radio demon took her hand and pulled her to him, giving her a firm kiss on the cheek as he wrapped his arms around her waist. “I love and adore you, kitten.” Alastor stated, his tone leaving no room for argument. “My afterlife is worth living with you in it.”

A Familiar Face

Husker x OC

A/N: Wanted to try out writing for a different character so here's me trying to do the hazbin hotel's resident bartender! I'm not sure if I'll officially start writing for other characters except for Vox just yet but I'm slowly trying to learn the rest of the cast. Anyway, thanks @ilovelyneysm07 for letting me use your art in the thumbnail and I hope you enjoy this short drabble with Husker and your OC Serena! Dunno if the cat's OOC or not I tried my best TwT

A/N: Also don't worry guys, the next interlude for the Get Off My Screen Series is in the works. I'll probably post it this evening if I can finish it then :)

Husker never gave a second thought about redemption, after all- he was in hell for a reason. The gambling, the obsession, the greed- his lifestyle was a far cry compared to heaven's sparkly standards and unrelenting fine print. Not to mention his deal with a certain radio demon. He sold his soul for power, and for as along as the deer was in hell- so was he.

So you could imagine the bartender's surprise when he eventually found himself standing outside the pearly gates and they were open. To him. He didn't think it was even possible. Not to mention he was placed in an outfit similar to the suit he wore in his overlord days. How that happened, he wasn't quite sure.

"Husker?"

That was a voice Husker didn't think he would ever hear again. Not since... well- not since he was alive. He slowly moved to look over, breath caught in his throat from both the shock of the disbelief at who he saw.

"Serena?"

Neither dared to move first, instead just staring at each other. That was until Husker finally broke the silence, taking a step forward. A step bridging the gap closer.

Serena was just conflicted about everything, from not seeing her friend for so many years only to find out he'd been damned to the inferno. For what? Truths untold and hidden that only added fuel to the fire. Despite that, she couldn't help feel relieved that friend was okay. He was there, and they could finally talk again.

"I... guess I owe you a hell of an explanation huh?"

Serena uncrossed her arms running up to the feline and giving him a hug, Husker let out a heavy sigh and returned the gesture; his wings wrapping around them both. Feelings untold, the guilt for lying, on top of just how much the bartender just missed her-

It was a lot.

"Yes. You do. It's only lying by omission but still. Don't ever lie to me again. You know I hate liars."

"Yeah, I know. I'll tell you everything that's happened this time. It's a lot."

Serena chuckled, looking up at her friend with a small smile. Even if she was disappointed and angry with him at first for deceiving her like that. Things he was never able to tell since she had died earlier than he did.

"You promise?"

Husker returned the small smile, his arms around her tightening slightly.

"Yes doll, I promise."

So here's what I'm thinking about why some of the pilot cast didn't participate in the song:

Ed is still working with Viv and voicing Striker and other additional voices in Helluva Boss, so they still have some semblance of a relationship. Additionally, I got a signed print from him around this time last year (before the official confirmation that all the pilot voices were replaced) and watched the stream of it. I'm trying not to misquote him but I think he said something along the lines of he wasn't allowed to say a lot of Alastor lines aside from things he already said in the pilot or just simple "hellos", but saying new lines of dialogue he didn't want to do. And he said he couldn't talk about it.

Monica is still close with Viv (perhaps the closest out of all of them) and is working on Helluva Boss as well.

Mick did additional voices for Hazbin Hotel, you can see his name on the credits for "Happy Day in Hell".

BUT... the weird thing is that both Ed and Mick participated in Hazbin fan songs as recently as late 2022. Ed with "Radio Play" (and Black Gryph0n was in it too) and Mick with "Royal Flush". And for Black Gryph0n to say they wrote "Thank You And Goodnight" over a year ago when they found out they were being recast, but didn't release it out of respect for Viv and A24... something is fishy. We have the email from Viv to the pilot cast announcing they won't be returning from October of 2021. So Ed and Mick felt comfortable enough with the fan songs in 2022 knowing they wouldn't reprise but they couldn't participate in the goodbye song? Something about that tells me that Viv has a problem with someone from "Thank You And Goodnight". And I have a feeling about who that might be...

An Amateur Cartomancy Reading of The Hazbin Hotel Deck

Looking into the possible meanings (if they exist) behind the character choices of the Official Hazbin Hotel Playing Card Deck This is just for fun, I have an interest in Tarot and Cartomancy, but am not a practitioner myself, if you see this and are a practitioner, feel free to comment or even tag me in your own posts on the subject. It's something that I've always had an interest in since I was teenager and I’d love to hear what you have to say!

Also this is just as a fun exercise, and in truth it's difficult to make accurate readings when much of cartomancy has to do with how the cards are drawn, what cards are drawn next to them, and the context of the question being asked So we're taking this already from only a partial read of the cards themselves.

Alright? Alright let’s go!!!

As you can see the Exorcists here are Jokers, the Trump card to beat all cards, a black and red Joker card also represent the Beginning of a Journey in cartomancy. I think the symbolism is pretty obvious here, not just as a Trump card, but as the Exterminations are what kicks off Charlie’s Story.

Now the deck comes with 3 unique suits, and one classic: Pentagrams, Keys (or Keekees), Hearts and Apples

Now interesting is the Hearts are normal suit so we can directly make comparisons. And since the other red suit is Pentagrams we can slot that in to represent

As for The Clubs and The Spades:

After reviewing both Apple and Keys I am 90% sure that if they're meant to sync up well with their characters then I believe that Apples are The Clubs and Keys are The Spades and this will be my assumption moving forward

Now moving forward this Hellish deck also wouldn't be complete without a special something for its 6s Each 6 has a special lil graphic that gives a small hint for who the king of each suit is. (Except for Pentagrams....maybe...)

Let's start with 6 of Pentagrams. Decorated with hellish eyes. Compared with The Diamonds which often represents money. The 6 of Diamonds represents "what goes around comes around", that you might be being misled by others or even yourself.

The Heart Suit represents Relationships and social aspects of Society The 6 of Hearts is the "Law of Love", a knack for big business that doesn't believe in luck As you can see it looks insectid, with a shiny glassy heart in the middle

The Keys have a familiar looking upside-down cross. The Spades are a Trump suit and the considered most valuable suit. They represent partnership and noble soldiers The 6 of Spades Represents tremendous potential is here if you're willing to accept the responsibility

Side note look at the Worm-Snake taking a bite outta the apple! So cute!!

The Clubs suit represents achievement through work, as well as evoking positive futures The 6 of Clubs is the Messengers Card, a call to duty, temptation of lethargy will tempt this person, but if they overcome it triumph over a great foe will be achieved

Charlie here is our Ace of Apples

Ace of Clubs - Positivity, love, fosters learning, it also can represent an important location (like a hotel?) Which need I say more? That’s pretty on the nose there

Next up is the Jack of Apples Razzle and Dazzle!

Fun Fact about these guys is that they aren't printed twice flipped, they legit Razzle and Dazzle

Jack of The Clubs is known as the Lucky Card! Supposedly it brings happiness and good fortune. It often heralds in a new opportunity

The Queen of Apples is the Queen of Hell Lilith

The Queen of The Clubs is a woman who stands for justice, truth and change. She is a symbol of the need to take action.

Which...is interesting if you look at a blink and you miss it poster in the pilot...hmmm

The King of Apples is of course Lucifer

The King of Clubs is a symbol of taking charge, of determination, and of attracting the attention of someone influential in the world. In cartomancy drawing a King of Clubs means Be Assertive and your goal is within reach which is and interesting possibility for Charlie, that she might need to be Assertive to her father to allow her goal to succeed It's also interesting considering how Lucifer became ruler of hell in the first place, by being Assertive to his father.

Next up Hearts Suit

Ace of Hearts is Cherri Bomb!

As an Ace of Hearts this card represents new love or the start of an emotional journey. This card represents love, happiness and celebration and a strong foundation

(Also there's a tiny Cherri on the bomb and I think that's adorable)

The Jack of Hearts is our dear Spider Boi

The Jack of Hearts represents a person who's going through a difficult time, but will overcome it and start fresh. It is also said that this card represents a man pining for an unobtainable lover or an unrequited love.

The Queen of Hearts is our lovely Velvet of the triple Vs

Interestingly she has her phone as the centerpiece with a little like heart popping off it. Culturally the Queen of Hearts is associated with a chop happy character from Wonderland. Which might be some inspiration here.

But what does it mean? The Queen of Hearts indicates someone with a magnetic personality, the sweetheart, the adored daughter, the favorite sister, the beloved mother. Drawing this card usually is an indication that you are loved, but perhaps require self care yourself

Leaving us with our King of Hearts, Valentino himself

Also known as the Suicide King the King of Hearts is always shown with their weapon (usually a sword) going through their head. Interestingly no weapon is seen, but! -he is holding his signature cigarette whose smoke is implied have some sort of control over Angel Dust.

We'll see when the series comes out, but if his use of this smoke ends up being his undoing I get to say I called it...sorta

That's lovely but what does the King of Hearts MEAN? Well in Cartomancy this King often represents a loyal romantic partner. Which....yeah, who knows I guess.

But it also is an omen that BIG change is coming, could be good or bad, but it is coming and there's no stopping it

Now onto the Key Suit which again we’re using Spades for

Ace of Keys is best girl Vaggie

Vaggie is our Ace of Spades and she looks amazing! Now the Ace of being one of the most important cards in the card is often more elaborate looking, and you can definitely see more attention placed on the colors and defined shape then with the other cards

Ace of Spades is known as the semi mythological Black Spot (no really this was used as the black spot in Caribbean piracy) also known as the Death Card And if your wondering why called it a semi myth, it's because the Black Spot as we know it was invented by the book Treasure Island

Feel free to Google that if you don't believe me, fun little trivia fact for the day

In Cartomancy tho the Card is not a reference to Death, but instead Loyalty. Many Spades Cards represent hardships of some sort. With the Ace representing deep personal troubles.

Jack of Keys belongs to our grumpy boi Husk

Ofcourse he's got card in the center, interestingly it appears to be a 2 of Hearts which means romantic love between 2 people I'm also 90% sure this isn't the first time he's been seen with the 2 of Heart's either..can't confirm tho

In cartomancy the well positioned Jack of Spades is kind of an unstoppable force; primed for success, but that itself is primed to be their downfall The Jack of Spades is often described as a con man, they are sharp and clever, but if they're not careful they will play themselves

Time for the Queen of Keys! Nifty!

Look she's even stabbing the bug from the pilot!

The Queen of Spades is intelligent and clever, using her creativity and organization to outsmart her opponent

The Queen of Spades however is also considered an unlucky card that represents death & change

Also fun fact the Queen of Spades considered the dark mirror of the Queen of Hearts So these two crazy gremlins might be foils to each other

Lastly is The King of Keys, Alastor

The King of Spades is the 'Top Card of the Deck' and represents Power and Self Mastery, Mind over Matter, Head over Heart, and how these powers can be used for creation or destruction

Also ironically depending on how it's drawn The King of Spades can also represent an obstacle or problem in the work place and if that's not a little on the nose I don't know what is

Onto the Pentagrams which we’re again using Diamonds for

Ace of Pentagrams is Helsa Von Eldritch, an apparent rival to Charlie, who is Ace of Apples

Diamonds itself represents money and the Ace of Diamonds is all about Value and Wealth. It is a warning about when money becomes more important than people

The Jack of Pentagramssss issss our dear Sssir Pentiousssss

Jack of Diamonds typically represent someone who is always fidgeting and working with their hands. Very smart and productive.

It's a card that often flip flops on whether it means good or bad luck. And it sometimes represents crime and even deception! Generally tho the Jack of Diamonds is potential just waiting to be realized

Queen of Pentagrams is my gurl Rosie

Queen of Diamonds typically represent a philanthropist contributing their wealth to the arts. They typically are used to mean your relationship between yourself and a wealthy benefactor

And lastly drum roll everyone, the King of Pentagrams Vox

The King of Diamonds is a shrewd cunning business man. A "wheeler dealer" type. The King cards represent Power and Diamonds represent money and that's what the King has in spades. The King of Diamond's is willing to gamble cause they have all the money in the world, and they rarely ever lose.

With that I close off this reading. Like I said on my first post this is coming from someone who's not a professional at this sort of thing, and this was more or less for fun.

Did they line them up like this on purpose?

Can the reads be all just coincidence?

Absolutely!

We won't know until the show comes out if the reads or cards are accurate, but it was a lot of fun to dive down this rabbit hole and find some possible connections!

“Nicol’s performance costume whole ref”

Here Nicol’s official performance costume in whole detail and info along with the redesign mask that I’m satisfied the result. Before I start explaining let me tell you about how I design his character before the official. Nicolas Mcgilles (Nicol is his nickname) was the Doberman mask for Nick Carter, he is highly based of and inspired by the character Simon Blackquill, Mondo Owada and Kiyotaka Ishimaru. These characters are an influence for his clothing and character development even the relationships descriptions (especially me and Joen).

Nicol’s performance costume as a Doberman mask is likely military fashion, but since Deer (Terry Bradshaw’s mask) costume is military fashion but the theme is streampunk fashion. To Nicol’s theme is Gothic Punk fashion. The reason that his theme is Gothic Punk fashion for his military wear is because Nicol’s character is a guard dog type breed, Doberman Pinscher, the obvious reason is the black dog collar with spikes then influencing the bad boy/goth boy look to make it accurate for the Doberman since Doberman Pinscher are dangerous and intelligent breeds and apparently the majestic dogs you ever look at.

The first one is his upper clothing, he is wearing a white dress shirt over his black military coat with a red cravat tie that has a silver heart pin and silver design and buttons; 5 buttons that you can see while 2 bottons hidden on his waist sash, 3 buttons on his sleeves (mix with Mondo’s design and this design). The bottom part of his coat (which length is long enough to cover his butt) has a silver polka dot design in all sizes while the his back of this was his other symbol (A broken angel wings that is chained). He has a leather belt around his chest with chains on top (reference this) and is wearing the usual black pants.

His accessories are heavily detailed with a lot of metal related since his theme is Gothic Punk, so he has a lot of jewelry similar to Egg (Johnny Weir) and Butterfly’s (Michelle Williams) design. He could be the most “Heavily detailed character” to have such heavy jewelry all over his body (commented by Nick Cannon).

The first is on his coat, His coat contains a shoulder pad with silver square spikes, a teardrop Ruby gem, different types of chains, chain with balls and a grey skull in diamond eyes and 3 sharp teeth (here and here). He has a gray cape that is about to his ankle (here) (it is removable like Egg’s coat and hat) with 2 different ropes and a medal. His red cravat has a hidden collar O ring for his red leash that Addy is carrying to kept the dog character. The abdomen part has a single square ring that is hidden on his gray sash with a big red spade, silver polka dot design and tiny chains. The square ring is only carried by his waist jewelry; Different types of chains with 3 crosses (The ends of the cross are card deck design- spade, diamond and heart) and the end of the chains are 2 big hopes (jewelry here). He is wearing silver hand cuff similar to Addy’s cuffs (ref here) and brown leather gloves with black sharp claws and a dog paw print on his palm (I have to put it cuz I like it).

Next is his black military hat combine with more silver spikes, chain, 2 screws on both sides, a big red spade at the middle, 2 holes for 2 silver hopes to with 2 tiny chains that carries a single silver cross (shape of a club) (reference to this and this one), a single black piercing with a small silver cross and a black dog muzzle with more spikes that can only wear depends of the song choice. The final touches are his foot wear. He is actually wearing a knight plate fusing with boots; Nicol is wearing brown thigh boots covered in silver knight plates while the bottom part are designed in more spikes, chains and a dog paw print at the bottom shoe (ref #1 & #2, and the dog print on his bottom shoes is a reference to Alastor from Hazbin Hotel).
