Rat mama is Tang Shen! The woman who is extremely important to most Hamato Yoshi's but also usually dead in most iterations of tmnt.

We wondered what she would've been like as a mother for them.

2012 made us want this concept even more when they got to meet her.

Shen is the backbone of Redline. We made her story before we even had the boys designed.

Any way the way she was mutated was mentioned by me here.

But basically these two disgruntled scientists were trying to create mutagen for different reasons. They had a very limited supply and decided, drunkenly, to go test it on animals at the college.

Perry and Baxter

Shen was in another room that held a rat when she heard them break in. We had a joke in our first draft for the comic that she left her baton with the rat because she's a martial arts master and felt she needed it more.

When she got to the room with the turtles and the men, the turtles had already been stuck by Perry with his samples of mutagen. Baxter, in self defense, stuck Shen with the only other sample of mutagen he was holding.

Being that the last thing she touched was the rat in the other room, she mutated into one. The turtles were last touched by her (the two had gloves on).

There's some stuff about Baxter and Perry we really dont wanna talk about til we get to it in the comic so it'll have to wait. I'm sorry. :,D

Their red masks are cut from an old scarf that belonged to her late husband, Hamato Yoshi. As they didn't get to meet him, she cut the scarf in fours so they'd all have a gift from him.

Her past is also mostly a secret but to simplify, Splinter and Shredder are bitter exes.

We can't wait to post more Redline, and we have the first comic coming within this month. Thank you!! I hope you have a good February as well!!

I always smh at people who dub Jason as “whiny” “and therefore ooc” in tt 29. If you died and all everyone did was taint your legacy, and not a single person remembered you fondly or deemed you worthy of commemoration after your death, wouldn’t you be a bit upset too?

couldn’t sleep last night so i was watching some of those boss vs boss videos and there was a “can the bosses raid the haligtree” video. they had to make their way across loretta’s arena and kill a bunch of enemies and bosses. first a rot flower, then triple crystalians, then loretta, then a rot avatar, then duo clean rot knights, and finally malenia. only two managed to get to malenia and only malenia herself was able to clear the whole thing (no surprise there).

but the most fascinating one was godrick. dude got killed by the flower 😐

#dead cells #oh yea also i haven't looked into it but you can get a couple extra cells sometimes??? idk why or how #while farming the giant i got 1 or 2 extras sometimes. not sure if it's a bug or related to the seed or what but. yea. idk #anyways yea hotk and queen are the best for cell farming i think #the strat i used was: all legendary custom mode with nothing but cursed sword and barricade #all mutations locked except for combo/tainted flask/demonic strength (or initiative if not on the beta) #set enemy health to 20% in assist mode. go in the boss room. take a sip. melt the boss in under 10 seconds. easy cells #hotk dies before he can finish winding up his opening attack #queen is slightly faster to farm due to the lack of cinematics but her attack patterns are random so you cant just turn your brain off #btw if you do this method: just remember to switch barricade to catalyst BEFORE picking up a sword lmao. i messed that up many times #alsooo idk how seeds work regarding versions and platform and such but. for the steam beta with all dlc at least: #514114 gives a sword with bonus to poison+bleed on 5bc #it's the second sword in the pedestal room. if you use this seed probably take open wounds instead of combo/initiative #a 300% damage bonus would probably be best though lol but i couldn't find one sadly #if you wanna farm without custom/assist mode then godspeed and good luck 🫡

#In my au the crying child kind of accidentally helped kill Charlie lol. He pushed her outside and locked her in the rain. Tee hee #And THEN. had a conversation about gym class with my friend who I went to school with today - it was depressing but also nice to hear that her experience with it (at that particular school) was just as bad as mine.

I don't think the way my school treated gym class was entirely normal tbh. it was completely different to the school I went to after, anyway. and everyone I talked to there only knew gym class to be a pretty fun, lighthearted thing. at my old school it was only about achievement, you had to be perfect, if not you were usually yelled at. and if you couldn't participate because you were feeling a bit ill (but not enough to stay home from school) you were ridiculed and/or insulted in front of the whole class. this happened with every gym teacher we had over the whole 9 years there.

it felt like two hours of punishment, there was nothing good about it. and it made at least the both of us feel like any kind of exercise/sport, especially in a group setting, was terrifying - for years after. even my much more positive experience at the other school I went to didn't make that go away.

I've been kind of vibing to music pretty much... #anyway yesterday was good but so exhausting... played lethal company with friends like I'd said which was really fun!! was a little bit of #process getting my bearings in it since I'd seen maybe one second of gameplay before but after a day or two in game I picked it up I'd say! #I mostly just ran away when I saw something scary but I tried scanning a monster and it opened the door which made me scream once ahaha #after that I was a lil tired but we ended up having a session of the project moon ttrpg I'm in kind of out of nowhere #it was short but v fun to play Frei again he kind of completely shut down the distortion singlehandedly which was surprising considering he #has no combat capability.. incapacitated them and read its mind which helped us figure out what we needed to do to resolve the distortion #-peacefully! my partners character did the actual resolving cause Frei is terrified of going near anything as gross as that distortion was #(it was a giant gross greasy burger monster. who was just bob from bobs burgers. he ended up in a polycule with linda and teddy after.) #Frei also read my partners characters mind a bit and maybe upset him a little by mentioning his daughter (her character is divorced lol) #anyway yeah... I was tired after both of those so I kinda got in bed and passed out quickly while listening to music... #idk what I'll do today I'm a bit sore still and I'm v sick and tired rn so I'll probably just relax a bit... #let's make today nice and cozy and good... love u friends thank u for reading <3

#note: I am playing the DS version via emulator! #gave in to temptation and looked at one (1) thing on the wiki I thought wouldn't spoil me #...I got spoiled again #my guess about the coffin was completely wrong btw #I thought the third dead was in there. but no. they were dead. #trying to specify who I mean without spoiling it for others lol #anyway I still love Ace's design but Snake has just risen up in my favourites #Santa. I like Santa. good character. great design. one of my faves. enough said. #Clover. oh boy. her design's cute. there's a weird implication made by Ace at one point but I'm ignoring it #but there's not much to say about her? like yup. Snake & Clover's connection sure is strong #but Clover doesn't get much development outside of it. I like her but she's not making my faves list #Junepei himself? he's not a blank protagonist. I like that. however he's not that far off from being a blank protagonist #he has some good moment. his design is eh. that's all #June... I've been spoiled about her #she's nice & I love her design! her and Junepei's relationship fleshes both of them out a lot #I also find the constant interruption of the flow for June and Junepei's special romantic tension time really fucking annoying #they're cute! I get it! I get that it's plot relevant! I think that these scenes highlight Junepei's flaws! #but also shut upppp about her hair smelling good. I don't Care #they do have some good banter at points though #Seven has actually really surprised me - I thought I was going to hate him but he keeps becoming even more likeable #Lotus... I think we're supposed to think she's a terrible person. and she definitely has her moments #but although she is selfish and values her self-preservation above everything else #I think her motivations explain a lot of that #wrote these out of order then reordered them to fit the number order. was just feeling silly goofy #to finish off the cast for good measure... contestant 9 sucks in all of the ways. his design is bad. his actions are realistic #but that entire sequence feels like some kind of ableism to me. it just really rubbed me the wrong way
