20. Your ultimate OTP?

iuhgiughei why did this question make me consider. have i even shipped anything before?? yes i definitely have but ULTIMATE is such a big word 😭

there's two answers okay. okay so there's aditya and geet from jab we met. they essentially defined love for me at a very young age and i have never stuck to a trope as hard as i've stuck to the cheery x sullen trope, which you can pretty much tell from anything i've ever written.

but! i have 90 fics on fanfiction.net and the overwhelming majority of them are about hiccup and astrid from how to train your dragon. i followed this couple. i obsessed over them. for a long time my header was "there will always be a hiccup and astrid" i was down BAD for these two. my bisexual awakening y'know??

i refuse to choose between them

W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.

just an objectively mean character who is adored in fandom because people think they're just sassy and that the hero is the REAL bad person (see: regina mills, sharpay evans, jade west, raven queen (raven is an exception because she is not mean and i like her but i do not like the apple slander from her fans), mal (mal is the hero of her story but the original story is still sleeping beauty))

tiktok fandom actually makes me so sad with the way they view ships lol, like they really have just assumed shipping means you want things to be canon when we used to have things like rise of the brave tangled dragons where canon was the opposite of what people were going for. you can't like something rare (idk...mikasa x hitch, or eren x pieck as an example) unless you excuse it as a crackship and even then people are snooty about it. and now it's even come down to POPULAR ships, like the eruri vs levihan debate. i commented on a video (pro eruri, anti levihan) telling someone to just let ppl ship what they want to, and the person responded something like "not when the ship is so obviously platonic" like!! where did this level of entitlement come from???? who cares why do you care why do you hate fun???
