WIP Wednesday, May 1, 2024

Hello hello! It's another Wednesday, we have new freaking RWRB content from Prime (seriously, wtf they've been holding out on us).

Between the URL change and Tumblr's tags being dumb, I can only say that @kiwiana-writes and @iboatedhere tagged me for today, but if you've tagged me and I've missed you, just let me know.

Returning today to (The Only Truth) Everything Comes Back To You for the @aroyallybigbangrwrb. I'm in Tier 2 so it'll be a few weeks yet before I post everything, but just something to tide you over:

The brownstone is dark when Henry arrives home except for a room on the second floor, the bright light shining down onto the sidewalk below. Henry kicks off his shoes once inside, sets his keys in the bowl on the table in the entryway, and climbs the stairs to the second floor quietly. He isn’t worried about disturbing Alex because he knows Alex will be hyper focused on whatever case he’s working on. Henry taps his knuckle gently against the partially closed door before pushing it the rest of the way open. He finds Alex standing at his desk, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, with his hands behind his neck and looking up toward the ceiling.

An open tag as always, but some gentle, no pressure tags below the cut.

This whole scene with Ellen feels a bit manipulative, to be honest. Bringing this to pizza night when they rarely get to see her as just mom. The pool story, appraising looks, pumping him up/telling Alex exactly what she knows he wants to hear. She’s not lying obviously, but she’s realising she could use them on the campaign and is exploiting them as such (Casey’s own annotations say as much).

Ellen is so dismissive of June in this moment 😔

Alex, bro, I know you’re excited, but please take a single second to think of your sister the way she’s always thinking of you, huh? 😏

I was just talking about choking myself with my own tie if I were Alex back in chapter 2 re: Henry’s humour and well, well, well, it seems the bland ties have made a bold statement regardless of the rules after all!

I know it’s partly the whole exchange, but Alex is also just worrying about WHAT he’s saying at this point, and watching for Henry’s little bubble to appear because he’s feeling it… 🦋 🫨🙃💕eep! and wanting it to be just right!

Oppositely, Alex teasing Henry about Shaan must have him wanting to scream into a pillow!!! Can you imagine his blushy little face receiving this these messages?!!! Wishing they could flirt for real? Then looking up at Shaan and … 🤭🫣🫠

When Henry gets up to go to the washroom, Alex has to slide out of the booth to let him. And as he goes past Alex, he leans over and says, “Come home with me tonight,” in that fucking accent, and Alex knees him in the leg.
