My coming out as a trans lesbian. (A message to my followers.)

Yes, everyone. I am "gay", or should I say, I'm a lesbian.

This may come as a shock to some of you since I would talk about "hot men" and even make captions about attracting hunks and whatnot. If you notice an absurd amount of those kind of captions surfacing this past week until now, that's because I was dealing with comphet, short for compulsive heterosexuality. In reality, I do not like men nor am I attracted to masculinity.

Why until now? One, it’s because I wanted to wait for the right time to come out and it was coincidentally on Lesbian Visibility Day. Two, it’s something I've been questioning ever since I found out I was trans. This didn’t happen in a day or two. It’s been years and I would have thought I was just pansexual. However, I was not sure whether I genuinely liked boys or if I just liked their validation. It turns out it's only the latter and I was questioning whether I was really gay or just gynosexual. I admit that getting positive reception from them turned me on and I could see the kindness and affection they displayed towards other women (something that really made me euphoric). But the moment you would place me next them for more, say, intimacy (I'm trying to keep it PG), I felt that spark turn off. Don't even get me started when they're bare or worse, send me D-picks (it's so nasty).

Now, I've never did any of that IRL. But, I've tried to interact with them through social sites. Not just in Tumblr, but in other sites like Grindr. If you ever think of creating a Grindr to meet, don't bother. It's hot garbage! All of them were chasers and not a single one was attractive. Only one "guy" seemed to be "cute"; it was a femboy, who was commencing their transition into a woman. Those were the only men I thought I was attracted to, but the reality is: I was only attracted to their femininity, but not their body or intimacy. Femboys are still men and I'm not attracted to men.

That got me questioning: Am I really only liking people for their femininity or do I genuinely only like girls? To make a long story short, I've never felt so much better than imagining myself being the lovely girl... of another girl! I always loved women as a guy, but now that I'm about to transition, being into women as a girl feels so right for me! No more comphet for me!

I know this is not the norm on these kind of blogs as the majority tend to be attracted to masculinity. However, I do want to say that even trans lesbians exist on the feminization scene. That leads me to tell all of you for the next update: You won't be seeing anymore new straight trans girl captions after the first few days of the next month. That's why you saw those kind of captions bombard my blog these past few days. It's just my way of saying "Let me just get it done with". I'm actually glad you enjoyed them, but I just don't feel any connection to those kind of captions anymore. I'll try to upload them when I can since I've been busier than usual.

Anyways, I'm happy you read this very long post. Even if you're not a lesbian, I hope this note at least gives you an insight on not keeping your true feelings locked any longer. Everyone deserves to be themselves. You should too.

Oh man, I feel like they'd feel so out of place because they're so obviously not her parents, but her bio parents disowned her and so somehow through the magic of fanfic they're able to at least become her legal guardians. (it probably takes a LOT of paperwork considering prison time and all that but this is fiction I do what I want!)

So Ian is insistent that they dress nice to make a good impression and Mickey doesn't see why his regular clothes are a problem but he puts on a nice button up anyway (and Ian ties a tie for him <3) and Starr is so chill okay—fuck you guys she's not nervous or anything—and they go to her school, talk to her teachers and everything

They are glad to see a couple of other kids that say hi to her in the hallway and everything, and she's all quiet and a little bit shy (aka the exact opposite of her regular personality—she first showed up all anxious and angry when the guys took her in, but she's gotten to be pretty bubbly and boisterous and really come out of her shell lately) and Ian tries to give Mickey a Look™ about it but Mickey is just worried about the kid

And thankfully Starr enrolled at school after she's started taking blockers and such, and she's socially presenting as a girl, so she doesn't have a lot of people misgendering her like they did at her old school, although anyone who does will be very quickly corrected—it'd probably be teachers since they'd be more aware of the situation? But most of her teachers are pretty chill and call her Starr and use she and all that

But yeah anyone steps a toe outta line and the guys have got her back. Like I said before Mickey would walk into this knowing nothing about trans stuff, but same as with Ian's bipolar he would do his research because it's important to the people he considers family, and they've very quickly accepted her into their family

But I do think that there's probably some stupid assholes who give Starr a hard time at school (as there always is) and Mickey gets super protective of her—he's there to pick her up and makes sure the bullies get a good look at him, knuckle tats and all, so they know exactly what they've got coming if they mess with his kid (not that Ian is above giving asshole bullies a good punch in the face, but "they're teenagers, Mick, you can't hit them!" "you think they know that? fuck no")

Also he tells Starr that if she's gotta then she can tell people she lives with ex-cons so that the bullies get scared away (she tells him that no, she'll fight her battles, and Mickey's like "okay then I'm at least gonna teach you how to throw a punch" and poor Ian gets to be the punching bag 😂)

I feel like they'd try to help build up her confidence and give her the tools to protect herself, you know? Especially because they want her to feel like she's safe in a world that's not always kind to people like her, and she deserves a chance at a good life. Ian also gets her signed up for like, boxing classes or something after school when she talked about being interested in doing something like that. But she also loves doing girly things like shopping, and Mickey endures the mall now and again for her sake (lbr he grumbles the whole time but he's there okay) and Ian always asks her to show them what she got since she clearly comes home all excited about it

I just love them letting her have the chance to be a kid and a teenager and give her a sense of autonomy while still trying to make sure she stays safe. They remember their own lives growing up and want her to have the best of everything that she can, especially with what she's already gone through. And yeah, she'd be a stubborn bratty kid sometimes but Ian had to deal with all his siblings, he's used to it :p he'd read parenting books for foster parents and figure out the best way to meet her where she's at, that sort of thing

(I'm not gonna lie to y'all, this is inspired by a plot line in Chicago PD that I hated with a fiery passion, so I decided to fix it and add some Chenford, as a treat! It's more alluded to than anything else, and the timelines don't really work out, but I don't really care. OH also I may have. Replaced Bailey and Nolan's wedding with Abigail and Henry's in this. Because I don't really care for Bailan, but that's just my opinion!)

“I still can’t believe you arrested someone while you were on vacation in New York,” Lucy said, her voice echoing and staticy through the phone’s speaker. “You're officially worse than Nolan.”

Tim rolled his eyes, shifting his position in his seat. He was sitting in the waiting room of a precinct in Brooklyn, waiting for detectives to come and take his statement. “Okay, no one’s worse than Nolan. He went after a drug ring at his son’s wedding.”

“True,” Lucy conceded. “But you’re on vacation, miles away from home, and you just happened to spot a kidnapper?”

“They don’t give sergeant positions to just anyone, you know,” Tim pointed out wryly.

He heard her snort on the other end. “No, apparently just to people who hit criminal’s cars with their cars to stop them.”

“Okay that one I did steal from Nolan,” Tim admitted. “But it worked. Got him out of the car and away from the girl he grabbed.”

“She must have been terrified.” Lucy’s voice was soft with empathy, and Tim felt a pang go through his chest.

“Yeah,” he said. “She’s tough, though. She’ll be okay.” 

What he didn’t tell her was how familiar it felt when he pulled the young woman, tied up and terrified, out of the back of the car. Suddenly he was lifting Lucy out of the barrel in the desert, holding her as she sobbed.

The tears in the young woman’s eyes— Nadia, from Chicago. Not much older than Nolan’s rookie, with a checkered past, but a fierce determination that Tim recognized easily— had reminded him of Lucy’s. It had been heart-wrenching.

“Hey.” Lucy’s voice on the other end jolted him out of his thoughts. “You saved her. You stopped the bad guy and you saved that girl from her worst nightmare. I’m proud of you.”

Tim let out a soft laugh. “Thanks, Lucy.”

“Of course.” She paused, then asked, “How long are you going to be gone again?”

Letting out a sigh, Tim leaned back in his seat, switching his phone to his other ear. “A couple more days. Technically I’m out here to visit a friend, but there’s also this case to help wrap up. And I want to keep an eye on Nadia until her friends come to pick her up. Apparently she knows people in the CPD who are on their way.”

“Good— I’m glad you’ll be there for her.”

That was Lucy. Always focused on someone else. But Tim could hear what she wasn’t saying, and for once he let himself say it. “I miss you.”

He could almost see her smile as she said, “I miss you, too.”

Glancing up, Tim saw a familiar, leather jacket-clad figure heading towards him. “I gotta go— Detective Peralta is back. Talk to you later?”

“Okay, I should go, too. Love you.”

“Love you, too.”

As Tim hung up the phone, Detective Peralta, who was standing in front of him, wiggled his eyebrows at him. “Already at the I love you part in your relationship, huh? Very noice.”

Rolling his eyes, Tim said, “Let’s just get on with the statement, okay?”

“Yeah, I sound like Boyle. Let’s stick with I’m happy for you. Now, right this way, Sergeant.”

Tim shook his head as he followed the other man. But he couldn’t quite hold back the smile on his face.Only a few more days here. Then I’ll go home to Lucy. And that was the best thought of all.

Anyways I've known about them since debut? I loved Bloom Bloom Pow with my whole heart when it came out and tried to fall for them then- It didn't work. The next time was when The Stealer (TS) came out~ I had watched them perform for Road to Kingdom- because ptg was on the show too- But I really loved TS cb- sm so that I bought the album about 6 mos later with my favorite members as inclusions at the time (Eric, Kevin and Hyunjae). But nothing came about of it even after watching the weekly idol episodes... Then came Whisper era and I ended up biasing Changmin (Q) and loving that song but again nothing came out of it.

(A little backstory is that Changkyun (I.M) got me into Dominic Fike's music-) Thus, when tiktok showed me Juyeon, Changmin, and Sunwoo dancing to Babydoll earlier this year as a dance cover: I fell. And then I finally checked out Watch It~ But Hui had his solo and it distracted me completely from falling further. Then I had gotten sick and decided 'well, what if I watch their content?' And I did... I watched their hello82 interview and their reaction to fanart of them, and lastly their mafia dance. And I loved each sm that I decided to check out more.

It was the first time I had watched their content and wanted to see more. And now, I watch their content almost daily. It's kind of like they revived the joy of kpop for me? My (old) ult of ults has been on hiatus due to the military so it's been stagnant content lately for me. But then they came in like a breath of fresh air- and I simply can't get enough. This month will be 3 mos and I honestly hope I'll follow them for a long time. (I think they're my new ult of ults tbh)

And lastly now here I am as a Younghoon and Juyeon bias (with bias wrecker: Changmin... he's doing everything to be bias again). And with them having a comeback I loved with my whole heart this past month, I think it really solidified them with me. Honestly, I'm so happy with them.

I didn’t make it through the whole concert.

I woke up at 3am yesterday (I’m graveyard, so that was sleeping in for me; I tried to sleep longer but couldn’t get back to sleep). After that, plus an 8-hour drive to Vegas, and walking into a blazing hot hotel room (it has one of those below-the-window air conditioners that had been turned off since the last guest left the room, whenever that was).

The concert started at 6:30pm with the first opening act, Kings Elliot. They (all two of them) played for a half hour.ly know a couple of his songs so I wasn’t that into it 

15 minutes later at 7:15, Macklemore took the stage as the second opening act. I only know of a couple of his songs so I wasn’t that into it except for Same Love. But for most of the first two acts I was just kinda waiting for Imagine Dragons.

Macklemore played for an hour and absolutely brought the house down. I wasn’t too much into it, but the crowd was going ballistic for him (and to be fair, it was a really good performance; I was just tired and he wasn’t who I was there to see, but a LOT of the crowd knew him better than I do and I’m glad they had fun listening to him and watching his band, and he seemed blown away by the response). He mentioned that when COVID hit and live shows were a no-go, he thought his musical career was over. And touring with Imagine Dragons had revived it. So good for him. He may not be someone I’m that into (though I don’t dislike him), but to get his career back after the past few years when he could not perform, good on him. As I said, I don’t dislike him; he’s just not someone that I’m into much.

He left the stage at 8:15, and by the time the stage crew changed the stage setup for Imagine Dragons, they didn’t come out until around 8:40, so the event had already been going on for over two hours.

Dan Reynolds, the lead singer, started off talking about how he was born and raised in Vegas (which I knew, and expected him to mention, and thought that may mean a more elaborate show), and that when the band was first finding their footing, they would play for a crowd of 50 people or less at O’Sheas (the only casino I’ve EVER accused of cheating) on the strip (I rolled a 7 on Craps and they called it a four but I didn’t drink back then and I KNOW I was right).

And last night there were about 30,000 of us according to Macklemore, who considered it the best show he’s ever experienced as a performer (that may have been, as they call it in wrestling, “cheap pop,” but the crowd was CLEARLY very into the performance so I’m going to assume it was honest...with Dan I 100% believed the heart behind what he was saying).

Dan said “We’re going to play EVERYTHING” and I thought, “under normal circumstances I would LOVE this statement but I am SO tired. It’s been a VERY long day already.” And most Imagine Dragons concerts I’ve watched on YouTube (their part after opening acts) are between an hour and a half and two hours

The 15 second video I posted last night (https://ahnsael.tumblr.com/post/695086786768158720/but-we-did-all-get-light-up-wristbands-on-the-way) was during the first song of the night, My Life, which is one of my favorite songs of theirs (from last night’s show that I was at, but not filmed by me; I decided to live in the moment instead of filming except for that 15 second clip when I was blown away by the wrist band lights, and hardly used my binoculars -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrkSlioGwq8 -- I haven’t found the full concert yet but they usually end up on YouTube; so far I’ve found a couple of things that I missed).

The wristbands started lighting up when the song went from slow to fast, and they were part of literally every song that I was there for. As soon as I was outside the stadium my wristband stopped lighting up (I was hoping the signal would go the the hotel next door so I could know how long the show went). But I LOVED them opening the show with that song. King’s Elliot had talked about depression. Macklemore had talked about depression. And here was Imagine Dragons, singing a song about depression to open the show. I loved that theme since I suffer from depression and it’s ALWAYS helpful (for me, at least) to be told that I’m not alone.

At almost 10pm, Dan said “we’re just getting started. We may be here all night.”

And it’s Vegas, so I thought they may indeed play until 4am (I have almost 8 hours of their music on Apple Music).Because he said they were going to play “everything” and that’s about how long that would take. I KNEW I couldn’t last that long. And they DIDN’t play that long, but they played longer than I could last.

I had caught myself starting to doze several times, even during upbeat songs that I love. So I knew I had to call it a night. I’m sad about that. Still, no regrets on making the trip and buying the ticket and seeing what I saw. It was SO worth it.

And after walking back to the hotel (which was literally next door to the stadium), the fresh air refreshed me (but the stadium has a no reentry policy so I knew I couldn’t go back in), I couldn’t sleep. I was up until after 3am before I finally zonked out for the night. Woke up at around 9:30 this morning (so about six hours of sleep) and thought about going back to sleep until my 10:30 alarm (checkout time is 11:00am), but decided I just wanted to get home so I got up, decided to skip the shower since I knew it was going to be hot out and I’d just end up a sweaty mess anyway (even with my car’s A/C), got dressed, checked out, and came home. I got here just after 6pm.

When I went out for food (I hadn’t eaten in two days -- I’ve got to stop doing that), I spoke with the guy directing traffic into the stadium, and he didn’t know what time the show ended, but I found posts on twitter (I’m not on that site anymore but I searched the #ImagineDragons tag). Some said it ended around 11:15, some said they played until almost midnight. I can tell you that I stepped outside the room for some fresh air at around 12:30am, and the parking lot was still packed. By 1:30, it was completely empty. So I may have missed A LOT.

But the seats, at least in the nosebleeds of Allegiant Stadium, are pretty narrow and uncomfortable (just not uncomfortable enough to keep me awake, apparently). But even the reference to kids at school saying “who do you think you are, thinking you’re gonna be a big star and him saying “now you’re clapping from the nosebleeds” (reference from  “Thunder”) brought the people to my left in the nosebleeds to their feet.

The drive home today was a LOT better than the drive there. I ended up on Route 186 which climbs and descends two mountains with steep grades and tight turns and it was literally scary to drive through that section. I even had a free-range cow walk out into the road in front of me and I had to brake pretty quickly and hope the tailgater also saw the cow and would react quickly enough (they did). I took a different route home (mostly Highway 95) and it was a MUCH better drive other than the tailgaters and the one person who, in a 70mph zone with nobody in front of them, suddenly hit their brakes so I passed them -- then they sped up to pass me.

Even though I didn’t get to see the whole show, I have no regrets -- except maybe I should have flown instead of driven down there. Flights from Reno to Vegas aren’t that expensive, and may have been cheaper than all the money I spent on gas to go the 850ish miles I covered in the last two days in the car (even including an Uber or Lyft to/from the hotel).

The hotel was VERY no-frills, but the staff was friendly. And when I accidentally left my key card in the room last night and locked myself out, I had no trouble getting a second key card (I was just reminded to turn both key cards in when I checked out, which I did).It was just a bed and a bathroom and a TV with the wrong aspect ratio set (I was able to fix that) but something like 139 available channels and I enjoyed watching Burns & Allen one hour, and Jack Benny the next hour (with Mel Blanc featured in the second episode). I remember growing up listening to their radio shows (I’m not that old but grew up listening to old shows on cassette).

Again, it was a great time, even though I had to cut my concert experience short.

Hopefully the rest of what I haven’t yet  seen will show up on YouTube soon. But I am excited to see the performance (which IS on YouTube now -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FI-z7EE3IcU -- where performers from Cirque du Soleil’s show One joined the band on stage during a performance of Sharks (you may want to watch the original music video first -- they are in that too so it makes them being at the concert make more sense -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Te3_VlimRw0).

Fun fact: while the sharks in the Bellagio fountain in that video are CGI (a fresh water fountain would be bad for a shark’s health), that’s actually Dan on the motorized surfboard in the fountain, not a stuntman. There are outtakes that prove it. He fell off of that thing A LOT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVQWlB4C8iU (also, watch the music video before you watch the making of; otherwise Ben, the bass player with the big arm movements while he’s talking to security, is just going to seem weird).

And the guy dancing at the craps table is Daniel Platzman, the group’s drummer, who liked a Facebook post of mine about being excited for the concert. Not bragging; it’s just something that made me happy. It’s not like he and I are friends now.

The other main band member is the guy with the long hair who serves the coffee. That’s Wayne Sermon, the guitar player.

Unseen: Ezekiel Schwartzman, a keyboardist/guitar player/backup vocalist who doesn’t record on the albums, but tours with the band because when they record, everything gets layered and is handled by the four main members, but on tour, they need that extra person up on stage to make things sound right (and he has his own EP called “California Cold.” -- The period is part of the title). I bought it, and he’s very talented. So one of the few times I used my binoculars last night, it was to make sure he was there, since he tends to be hidden stage right (audience’s left) from Platzman. I was glad to see that he was there, and later for the band to introduce him. His EP is mellower than most Imagine Dragons music, but still very good. Sorry to overload y’all with YouTube links. I’m still in the joy of seeing what I saw, even though I missed a lot. Now I have one day to try to get back on my graveyard sleep schedule somehow, or just go to work tired and know that the security guard who I’ve worked with for six years has my back (and he DEFINITELY does -- I don’t take advantage but I KNOW he likes working with me and has been a huge help since carpal tunnel set in).

“you remind me of a dog, you know?”

rin’s eyes shoot open with your unexpected words, and you receive the harshest glare you’ve ever witnessed on his face when it came to you. 

“excuse me?”

his tone is supposed to be threatening, but his voice is slightly laced with sleep, so it sounds a lot more like a whine. you snort a little bit, pausing your ministrations on his head, where your fingers run through his hair. 

“not in a bad way, baby. i just mean you’re like a puppy when you want my attention,” you giggled a little, and if rin didn’t love the sound so much, he would have berated you. 

“that’s absolutely not true.”

“it is, though. you came back from practice all tired and grumpy, and the first thing you did was put your head on my lap because you wanted me to run my fingers through your hair. you didn’t even showered, rin.”

“i did shower! on the locker rooms!”

you smile mischievously. “oh, i thought the dampness was from sweat. i was about to call you out for being stinky.”

rin’s grimace worsened, and a pout formed on his lips. you couldn’t resist the urge to squish his cute cheeks together. god, he was so adorable it tugged on your heartstrings. how was that even possible?

you lowered your head to give him a quick kiss, and although rin tried to deepen it, you pulled away fast, grinning once again. he knew what was coming even before you said it. “you’re also like a puppy when you trail after me around the house. a lost puppy.”

his groan reverberated through the whole apartment, and rin shoved your hands away from his face, scowling. “i fucking hate you.”

“no, you don’t.”

“i hate you. i’m serious.”

you giggled again. “so why didn’t you leave my lap then?”

his eyes met yours, and you kind of relished in the furrow of his brows. it made his pout even cuter. “…what.”

smugness radiated off of you, because you knew rin — your rin — like the back of your hand. and if there was an universal truth in the world, it would be that the younger itoshi was down bad for you. enough for him to stay despite your shenanigans that always got on his nerves.

“i said, if you hate me, then why didn’t you leave my lap?”

his mouth opened, but no retort came out. he gaped like a fish for a few seconds before groaning again, turning his body so that he could hide his face on your stomach. you laughed at his childish behavior, knowing it was one of the reasons you loved him so much. not many people were able to see this vulnerable side of him, and you were glad to be one of them. 

“shut up.”

“yeah, yeah. you big baby.”

comfortable silence engulfed the both of you, and rin remained hidden on your stomach as you picked up the book you were previously reading, wanting to continue the story. though your left hand was suddenly tugged to lay on your boyfriend’s head.

“keep going,” he murmured, “…please?”

a gentle smile took over your features, and you were quick to run your fingers through his dark, silky strands. rin sighed softly, content with the affection you gave him — as if your angelic hands could take away every doubt swirling on his mind and wipe off the tiredness from his sore body.

“of course,” you said. and your mind completed silently: i’d keep going forever if it made you happy.

Michael Kaiser

contrary to popular belief, michael kaiser was not a bad boyfriend. 

despite his huge ego, his narcissistic tendencies and his extravagant yet somehow rude personality, he wasn’t the type of guy to treat his partner poorly. in fact, he was a very attentive boyfriend, always doing his best to make sure you were happy and healthy.

or maybe it was just you. who knows.

whatever his reasons were, you relished the fact he took such good care of you, even if he wasn’t physically present because of away games — because michael was very good at making people notice him. whether it was with a bouquet of your favorite flowers delivered to your job, a nice breakfast cooked before you woke or even a small note of love professions. 

however, nothing really compared to having him there, with you, flesh and bone. 

especially on those days you just felt so miserable you wanted to disappear. 

“liebling? you okay?”

it was one of kaiser’s rare day offs, and all you wished for was to spend some much needed quality time with your boyfriend. though, this wasn’t possible due to your job, one you liked having despite michael saying he could support the both of you financially.

but the day at work just sucked. like, a lot. it was that kind of day where things go from bad to worse in a matter of minutes, and when you swear it can’t get shittier, it does.

you were exhausted and emotionally drained. the whole drive back to your shared apartment you were holding back tears, and the dam broke the second you heard kaiser asking you that.

“whoa!” the blonde exclaimed when your bodies collided on a tight hug. “what is it, engel? what happened? did someone hurt you?”

his worried tone just made you sob harder, and kaiser rubbed his hands on your back, trying to give you some comfort. he started to sway your bodies together while humming, doing everything to calm you down.

eventually, your sobs died down, and your boyfriend carefully brought you to the couch, making you lay on top of him; head on his chest. he started to gently scratch your scalp, running his long fingers through your hair.

“you feeling any better?” he asked in a low tone.

“yeah. thank you, mikka.”

the blond only hummed. “do you… want to talk about it?”

you had to stifle a giggle. god, he was so cute. even when he sucked at talking about feelings, he always made an effort for you. 

you slowly shook your head. “jus’ had a really bad day. but it’s okay now.”

his eyes softened impossibly, and you nearly swooned at the sight. “yeah?” 

michael kissed your forehead, and kept threading his fingers among your locks in a gentle caress. you smiled, because it was all you really needed to be comforted.

“yeah.”

reo’s body collapsed on top of yours, effectively knocking the air out of your lungs. you should have been used to it by now, really, since he’d always do that after you finished your smexy times, but sometimes it still caught you off guard.

“reo, you’re heavy,” you groaned, teasing him. “get off me!”

“give a guy a break, will you?” he whined. “i’m tired.”

your giggle reverberated through his body, and reo repositioned himself to lay his head on your chest, hugging your waist tightly as if to never let you go. he’d rather lose all his fortune before he let that happen. 

“is mr. athlete getting out of shape? i didn’t know this light exercise could make you so…”

your boyfriend interrupted you with a groan. “babe!”

you raised your hands in mock surrender, giggling again, and reo thought maybe he didn’t really care about your teasing if it meant seeing you this happy. he loved you in all your versions, but carefree was his favorite one. 

“sorry, baby. i’ll make it up to you, yeah?”

before he could make a suggestive joke, his breath hitched in his throat when your soft hands started caressing his hair, gentle fingers threading through his purple locks making him sigh. it was so unfair, he thought, how you managed to disarm him with just a small touch, reduce him to putty in your palms with a little gesture of affection. some of his friends said he was a fool in love, and reo couldn’t agree more. 

your love made him silly, but he didn’t hate it. he could never hate anything about you. all mikage reo was able to feel was love, love, love, an emotion so strong it nearly overwhelmed all of his senses, making him forget about all his worries and responsibilities — heck, even the whole world. and he didn’t mind if the world burned as long as he could keep you safe and away from the flames.

“what are you thinking about?” the whisper of your voice echoed the walls of your shared bedroom. 

“what makes you think i’m thinking about something?”

though reo couldn’t see you, he knew you rolled your eyes. 

“it’s usually how the human mind works, honey,” you answered, your wit making him stifle a laugh. “besides, you’re always so chatty, talking my ear off—”

“hey!”

“—so it always concerns me when you get quiet.”

the heir sighed, letting the silence linger a little longer to recollect his thoughts. reo usually didn’t have a hard time expressing himself with words, but sometimes his heart swelled so much it made it hard to think. so, pretty much every time he was with you.

“it’s just… i’m thinking about how i never really believed in past lives and reincarnation. i never really believed in soulmates, either,” he said, and you paid attention to every word. mesmerized by the wonder in his voice and even more by the sparkle in his purple eyes when he averted his gaze to yours. 

“but when i think about you, love… when i see you in my arms or when i rest in yours, i’m sure you are my soulmate, and that we were together in every lifetime. it’s always been you. it will always be.”

your chest swelled with love for the man laying in your embrace, and you tried to hold back the tears from falling. god, he was everything. you didn’t even know what you did to deserve a lover like mikage reo, but you were far from complaining. 

you gave him a chaste kiss on the forehead, trying to convey even a fraction of the love and adoration you held for him, and looked back to caress his face. then, smiling with the world in your eyes, you answered:

“it’s always been you, too.”
