Grief and human emotions are hard.

Tomorrow, my wife and I have to say goodbye to our little Mew. She gave us 17 amazing, and happy, years; even with the 3am songs of her people and knocking things off tables constantly.

I am sad, that's a long time to love your companion and letting go is hard, but I know that with how her condition is rapidly deteriorating that it's the kindest thing we can do for her.

I am also happy, because I know she won't be in pain or discomfort any longer, and because we was able to bless us with 17 years of companionship.

Please love and cuddle your fur children.

Whole onion soup from the Natural Lawson! It was 30% off so I figured why not. Unfortunately it didn't have any caramelized French onion soup flavor—more of a mild tomato base with something savory. It took more than twice as long to heat up as the directions said and required a lot of pepper and hot sauce before it really tasted like anything, so it’s not a repeater, but there IS something really visually satisfying about how ugly it is? Like an eyeball floating in a bowl of blood. How I feel looking at today.
