hold on i need to get a thought and emotions out. so with Welcome Home, there seems to be a before and an after. obviously, we're in the after. the website is the after. and if it turns out that the story we see, the one where shit hits the fan and the show is practically erased, then... that already happened. whatever horrors we see, we'll know that there is no saving them. there is no happy ending - it happened, and it's tragic. the show is doomed to end and be scrubbed away. if any of the characters are revealed to be dead/gone by the website, then when/if we see them at an earlier point, we'll Know

and there's a special kind of dread and horror in that for us, the audience.

You choke on your saliva. Didn't expect to hear another familiar voice again, but rethink about it. It's all have a high chance to meet the playable characters or unplayable characters that you like everywhere. Because you are the main character in this world too.

He said while approaching to you. His face didn't show any emotions. Your brain tried to thinks about 108 ways to escape from fuck up incident.

He stopped, in front of you, he stares into your eyes before pulling something out of his pocket. It's the same weird flower that you threw a while ago. He stare at it with adoration.

“ Welcome back, thanks for returning to Teyvat again. Your grace .”

Now, you and Albedo are back in his shelter. There are alchemy tools and books. You wouldn't want to open it. Because it's too difficult for you to understand something like this.

He said while staring at your flower. ( It's still weird in your eyes) You watching him in silence, waiting the next sentence from his mouth.

“ She can creat something, but that "something" it didn't mean to have a life or a soul in it. ”

“ Like just a regular some tools that human always use in daily life? ”

You ask him. He shaking his head.

“ Worst more than that. She created some dead meat or rotten of living things. I can't feel their life or their soul. And she just excuse that her power didn't awake yet. ”

Venti burst in to her room quickly, after he heard his lovely Creator scream in pain. And what he see is, his Creator is shaking in fear.

She scream, don't care about her behaviour. Now her emotions is in swing mode. Venti only step back slowly but he's worried too.

Why his Creator become like this? Who did this?

Of course, she ever throw her tantrums to him, and some Archons too. But this time, it's seem like her tantrum is growing stronger more than before.

He doesn't know why, and he doesn't know how to deal with it. He don't want to inform Zhongli, because he know, that ex-archon have a good talent to deal with this. And when he arrived in Mondstadt to meet our Creator, all the attention that belong to him are gone.

Venti admit in the bottom of his heart, that he secretly envious to Zhongli.

But for real. Venti know he can't handle this alone. He decide to calls Kaeya and Jean to take care of the Creator for a while. He will go to Liyue to call for help.

Now, the 2 high rank in Favonius of Mondstadt gonna deal with the true hell.

Perhaps they were suspicious of their Creator's actions. But of course they can't say or can't ask anything. Because they don't want to be punished by her.

For real? It should be like this? God that can't control their behaviour well?

2 Weeks later after Albedo help you and you two (maybe three?) stayed together in Dragonspine.…

“ Can someone tell me what happening? ”

Thick atmosphere, two lives staring in to eachother eyes. Like they ready to start a fight. Albedo staring with calm but cold in the same time. And another one just hissing like a caracal cat.

And they're completely ignore your question.

“ Stop fighting like a child You two! Or else, I'm gonna throw you all in the frozen lake! ”

It work! They stopped but remain glaring. You glare at them like a sharp dagger to them and they turn around quickly to another direction.

“ Didn't know that I creat such a grumpy flower. ”

“ Shut up you idiot!! ”

“ Watch your mouth or I'm gonna close your mouth by sewing it together!”

After you (accidentally) created the flower, and Albedo took over to take care of it. This flower growing so fast, and you can feel a little glimp of life inside it.

Three days ago, you used your power on it one last time. Like gave it ability to talk, hear and see. And now it awake, and unfortunately for Albedo to encounter with it first and alone.

“ Your name is Flowey, its suit you. Because your talkative and your behaviour like someone that I met before. ”

This flower just reminded you about that talkative and villainess Flowey the Flower from Undertale. You didn't mean to make it similar, but it happened and you don't mind at all.

Been keeping away from the drama cause I'm mostly tired, want to mostly focus on the original series, and I can't wait for this fanfic to completely die truly from the death drag is doing since it's long overdue; but after reading this— it needed to be addressed. Saw some copium going on about it already.

You can say stuff like "he is a yōkai", "he was always like that", "he is too good to lower himself to the standards and morals of humans", "retcons can happen" "you see? Rumiko is supervising now", "You weren't paying attention to the story" "the translation should say this instead of this" etc etc. Sure. of course, Jan. All that shit is bs as shown in the source material a thousand times already. Ok, moving on.

but AGAIN this Sesshomaru is just not the same one. Not the same to the original anime and not the same og manga either. This is like a completely different character than what we've been shown before. Nope. Ken Narita said it best and knew it.

This one is a completely regressed version and you can die on the hill after punching me in the face "that it's the same one, it's canon" but the original one wouldn't let crap like this slide. Oh yes, I know he's not a fucking prince charming; for sure! WE ALL KNOW. But Sesshomaru had already grown enough that he gave a fuk at least about those around him. Even if he's a person who barely expresses himself. So, much so, that no matter how you view the relationship of him and Rin— you know he was still coming to see and make sure he was okay even when she was in a village that might as well be safe 💯% thanks to his brother along his wife + inugang and others. He took care of Kohaku after Kikyo died! He regretted not leaving Rin in a village earlier when she lost her life again. Here, he's whole family are accessories. You got even Shippo weirdly being his servant all of a sudden. You can measure the regression with a ruler 📐

The vibes Rumiko Takahashi is giving me at this point are: A) she doesn't give a fuk because the og story is FINISHED as she has talked before (tbh this woman didn't give a fuck starting the last half of the series cause you can look up her interviews on Rumic World/Furinkan, and she was half ass winging it by the end cause that's how much she stopped vibin with her "Magnum Opus". Thanks Sunrise) and since she doesn't give a fuk, she doesn't want to even bother looking at her own source material. This is why I've gone mostly "Death of the author" with her at this point.

B) The other thing could be as well that she's fuking this thing on purpose. "But, Gene she's supervi—" no shut up. And stop snorting the copium. You'd think if this was canon she'd be truly wanting to sell the story and this ship, but it's like she wants to make sure he along everything else is the worst possible every chapter. If she truly is supervising, cause honestly she still feels like she quickly looks over sht, goes "whatever, I'm done with this" and goes back to doing Inuyasha revamp *cough* I mean MAO. Though, it's quite understandable why she was so reluctant to allow this in the first place.

And let me tell you, the "Character becomes terrible parental unit when the next generation is born, so their past growth is thrown out the window" trope. It's OVERUSED GARBAGE that fuks up good stories 🗑️🚮 You got characters that are really similar to Sessh that are doing better in other animes for Pete's sake. LIKE "THE VILLAIN" OF YASHAHIME: KIRINMARU 🦄🤡

It's pitiful really. I dunno how anyone can still enjoy this because "uWu it gives me crumbs". Nah, have some standards. Other people can do better stories. Other people can write this better while still respecting the original story. And I'm not saying you can't enjoy some things from it, because you can (like Moroha, Kirin, the Mirsan kids, whatever). But this could've been better done. Peace.

Hey, as a newbie to writing fic and to sharing things online/engaging in fandom spaces, I was wondering if you could share some insight regarding the best ways to make friends and get your work seen? There’s so much good content in the Rise fandom I can totally understand why things would get buried. So what’s the best way to make connections and to (I hate this word but idk what else to call it) promote your stuff? Thank you in advance! Hi! Thanks for the well wishes!! And welcome to the world of fic writing!

So I'm going to start here by saying that I'm answering this question from the angle of trying to get your work seen and making friends more than getting popular, because getting popular is honestly a lot of luck and unless you want to be really cynical about it and game the system it's pretty much impossible to force it. BUT wanting people to read your fic is a normal and good thing to want; most of us want the things we create to be enjoyed by others, after all!

First things first, the easiest way to be part of a community is to participate in it! In fandom this means leaving comments on fanfic, reblogging art and fic and leaving tags or comments here on tumblr, etc. There are people in the fandom who have become familiar faces to me just because they're always commenting on my fics or tagging posts and they show up in my notifs all the time. Also, I can't speak for everyone here, but when people leave me nice comments on my fics, pretty often I'll click into their profile to see if they've written anything that I might like to read. I've found great fanfics that way!

I know some people are more social than others (I'm on the low end of the social spectrum), but even if direct messaging people is intimidating, just being an enthusiastic presence in the less direct ways I've suggested can go a long way towards making yourself known in the fandom, and you can gain friends over time that way!

Another way you can get some eyes on your work is through fandom events. I've mentioned on this blog that I'm participating in the Grab A Slice bang event (which is posting this month), which has been a fun way to meet other writers and artists in the TMNT fandom at large. There's other stuff like this happening all the time, like I know last month there was an April art challenge here on tumblr that had prompts for each day. And I wouldn't be surprised if we get some secret santa events happening around Christmas. Obviously not everyone has time for this kind of stuff, but if you do, participating is basically a free way to both get promotion of your work and be introduced to other creators in the fandom.

Finally, this is more technical advice that I have, but I assume since you're asking me you're posting work to AO3 or plan to, so I want to say that tagging your work appropriately is really important for getting it seen! Be sure you're tagging your major characters, any major relationships (as a side note, & tags on AO3 mean platonic relationships while / tags mean romantic ones), and any major tropes or themes that people might be hunting for (you should also put trigger warnings in the tags). Usually when I'm on AO3 I'm not just going through the Rise tag unfiltered, I'm searching up "Donatello (TMNT) & Leonardo (TMNT), hurt/comfort" or "Raphael (TMNT), angst" so if someone is leaving tags like that off their work I won't see it even if it's something I would devour in one sitting. Tags are super important on tumblr too but they are also... more of a mystery to me... definitely tag your main characters and the fandom though.

Also, don't be discouraged! Not everything is going to be a hit right away. I've had my ups and downs for sure; my least kudos'd fic has 3 kudos (not counting the ones I ported over from FFN because those had different post dates - my actual least kudos'd fic has no kudos). Remember that writing fic is ultimately for fun, and really as long as you write something you yourself have fun reading then I think that's a success!

Absolutely adore your fic front and back. The entire concept had me intrigued, and once I started reading, I was OBSESSED. Legit, I would talk to my friends about it, talk to my shower, talk to my Twitter mutuals about it.ALSO ALSO I adore how you write monologues, it's so funny and so descriptive, makes me feel things good things. Casey and Abby have gone through so much shit and I'm so happy for them being around people who love and care for them. Leatherhead and Casey and Abby and Mikey are so sweet. Leatherhead is also a sweetheart, he's so nice and the way you write him makes me melttt, I become a pile of mush 🫠Mikey and Him are soooo sweet too and I swear to god you have changed my ENTIRE perspective on those two as a ship its incredible, like before I ddint even THINK that much about it, but here I am in my notes app with a full on page of how to implement leatherhead in my au AND in my fanfic, the note title is legit called 💥THAMK UOU LEADENN💥 also just read the newest chapter came back to edit this, YAY! FUCK YEAHH!! Those twoooo OUGHHHH!! The inner monologues you write are so fuckin good, like I can read that thing good without getting confused and having to re read, I understand it because you explain well! The scenes play out good and are incredibly funny or incredibly sad or both. Like holy shit. Also the way you write and hint has me going "WHAT? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN??? WHA WAIT WHA??" like I end up shocked eyes open. I also enjoy your writing so much I usually don't venture off into the collection of other stories unless they still include my favorite character but with how you write I just love everyone so much I'm like eating that shit up, full course meal gourmet food 5 stars. I know you get a lot of Mikey stuff so I left him for last on how much I fucking LOVE HIM HES SO COOL like mental stuff aside his one liners and his kick ass brain lines are awesome oh my god he comes off so damn cool like daaqmnnn who made you king of Antarctica, lord of coolness. Hi! I am not very good with english, but I wanted to say that I adore your writing for a long time, so ig it's time to tell you about it or I will explode. (<- prob a Sierra's behavior)

I have a major in Russian philology, so I am very picky about fanfiction in my native language, but "An Insulting Indifference" made me more critical about fanfics in English too just because how beautifully it written. When I read it for first time, I thought about how it reminded me of Turgenev's novels, that I used to read as a highschooler. Man was a big russian classic writer back then in the 19th century and I was shocked that silly gay total drama fanfiction made me as emotional. Your interpretation of Alejandro's character makes him so much more alive than he was in the show and I absolutely love it. He has even more layers than Noah's clothes and everything about his relations with society just makes perfect sense. I really can't wait for the sequel and trustin spin-off.

Fallen Jedi Thoughts

First some general thoughts before I talk about the emotional weight of this episode:

Ahsoka and Sabine's conversation makes me want to write fanfic purely so I can understand what's going on inside their minds

the droid on droid violence is unacceptable we can't make Huyang go through that

during Marrok's duel with Ahsoka I started thinking he was Kit Fisto to prepare myself for the worst

on one hand, I'm grateful he didn't turn out to be Barriss/Starkiller/Cal or a Jedi that wouldn't make sense

on the other, I'm mad because why was there so much focus put on his identity, why was there speculation from the very first trailer and why was he the thumbnail for the series at one point

I've been thinking about the "you have no power" interaction for a while and I'm so happy that Sabine just followed it up by launching rockets at Shin's face

Baylan's philosophy is interesting for now but it's teetering right on the edge of Generic Villain Ideology so the writers better take it to interesting places. "One must destroy in order to create" sounds cool but I've heard it so many times. I think the main reason why this character is intriguing to me is purely because of Ray Stevenson he deserves all the respect.

But the way he manipulates Sabine and does seem to have a moral code definitely makes him more interesting. And speaking of the manipulation, it might make me wind up back in therapy. Not only did we get confirmation that Hera, Ezra and Zeb are Sabine's only surviving family, she went against everything Ezra would've wanted her to do in order to bring him back. This makes me nervous because I know the moment Ezra sees her he'll be 1. grateful she's alive, 2. scared she's captured, 3. absolutely furious for choosing him over the galaxy's safety and contradicting his sacrifice.

If I try to understand Sabine's actions better, this happened all after the destruction of Mandalore which is why she seemed to be living so messily on Lothal. She just doesn't have a home anymore so she's clinging to literally any trace of Ezra she can to have some shred of hope after presumably holding herself responsible for the Purge of Mandalore. She's desperate, and desperate people do desperate things.

And now ... onto Ahsoka and the World Between Worlds. As soon as the shot switched to her opening her eyes I said "it's flashback time!" out loud so that's fun. The shock written on my face when the camera slowly shifted to Hayden was comical. Like what does this mean? Is this his Force ghost? Is this a hallucination? Did Ahsoka actually manage to meet Anakin's past self in the World Between Worlds? I have so many questions (along with the theory that this could actually be Anakin).

I just hope that whatever they're planning to do, they do it well. No live action reenactments of what has already been well done in Clone Wars, just what's here now. I want a deep look in Anakin and Ahsoka' relationship and how this changed both of them for better and for worse. Anyway, I can't wait for next week and I'm pretty certain that whatever's going to happen is going to break the fandom considering the hype that's already building up and the fact it's being shown in cinemas.

I love to read historical novels but writing them is waaaayyy above my competence level and I know I would get lost in the research part of it instead of, you know, actually, writing it. So futuristic it is because I can bullshit my way through it.

I wish I could write light and fluffy things but I can't. It might be pathological at this point. I tried to write a fluffy mermaid AU and Lou drowned in the first chapter, so now I give up. I'll accept my fate.

|| ANIMAL COMPANION or FOUND FAMILY ||

I have to choose animal companion because one of my favourite character (Lorelei, immortal witch, high priestess of Némésis goddess of revenge) has a familiar named Doll. It's a raven who believes himself to be a bird of prey but is actually just... broken. It once tried to incubate a skunk and to eat a cat, so. He can't see windows and can cut through steel with his beak (through sheer determination and will). I love it with all my heart. I've only had him for twelve years, but if anything ever happened to him, I would kill to get him back 🤺🤺🤺

|| HORROR or ROMANCE ||

Romance that becomes horrifying, where you would do anything for your partner, even betraying your values and your faith, to the point where you can't recognize the person looking at you through the mirror. Or where your lover becomes something other and you're not sure how to love her anymore.

(On this not, there's a great novel Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield where one of the woman is marine biologist and comes back to her wife *wrong* after six months lost at sea. It's terrifying, it's great!)

|| HARD MAGIC SYSTEM or SOFT MAGIC SYSTEM ||

Fuck rules. Do whatever you want! Why do dragons exist in my world? Because the god of poison had children with a crocodile metamorph and she gave birth to the dragons, next question! Why is Lorelei's magic different from the others'? Because she's OP and I love her and she's my chosen one! Why can Jo [REDACTED] because. That's it. That's my justification. I do what I want as long as it's fun 💃‍

|| STANDALONE or SERIES ||

I always say I'm gonna write a standalone and I rarely succeed. I blame it on my favourite books I read as a child which were all super long series with like 50 books in it, spanning generations and thousands of years (hi Heralds of Valdemar and The ballad of Pern) I also blame them for making me write dragons and over-powered women. I love you, you're the best, mwah!

|| ONE PROJECT AT A TIME or ALWAYS JUGGLING 2+ ||

I'm always switching between WIPs depending on my mood and my motivation. I can put aside a project for months (hi book 3 of WsT... I'm coming back for you baby, I'm coming back for you!), start three new WIPs, and then go back to one of my ancients projects. Every time I try to persuade myself to only work on one thing I get frustrated and end up not writing at all so I just let my creativity take me wherever. I'm not even a passenger anymore, I'm stuck in the trunk of the car, scribbling madly and trying to understand what's going on. It's not going well.

|| ON AWARD WINNER or ONE BESTSELLER ||

I don't really care about awards. Like sure it'd be nice to know critics and judges liked mu book enough to give me a Hugo or a Nebula or whatever, but what I really want is for *actual people* to love my stories. I hope I can touch at least one person with my silly little characters and their struggles. (Also, I want the fanfics and the fan-arts 😂)

|| FANTASY OR SCI-FI ||

I love sci-fi, especially sci-fi stories where humanity has to leave earth and terraform/colonize other planets, I love exodus. I also love to just write whatever like an archeology student getting kidnapped but an alien sect because they think she can resurrect their leader. And I love fantasy because I love swords, and dragons, and magic, and lesbians (and lesbian dragon shapeshifters with a sword), and prophecies. I love being able to craft a world and society and to just... have fun.

|| CHARACTER DESCRIPTION or SETTING DESCRIPTION ||

I don't do it enough, but I love setting descriptions because it helps paint a picture and you can leave little nuggets of foreshadowing in it. (You can also do it with character description but I think I might be too obvious when I do that XD)

|| FIRST DRAFT or FINAL DRAFT ||

First draft is a pain in the ass but I actually love the process of figuring out what the fuck is going on, who the characters are, what they want, what they need. It's like getting to know someone but sudoku like. If you don't put the numbers in the right order you understand nothing. (It's a bad comparison, I hate sudoku, but you get what I mean). Also, what the fuck is a final draft? I've never met her. i always want to change something even after I'm done. Which is also why publishing scares me so much : what if I want to change something and can't because it's already been printed? Nightmare 😱

|| LOVE TRIANGLE IN EVERYTHING or NO ROMANTIC ARCS ||

I'd rather have no romantic arc ever again than suffer through a poorly written love triangle once again. I'm tired of love triangles. Be original at least and give me a love octagon or something. I don't know dude, make one of them die in a war, her wife mourns then starts dating again and then, she comes back after being MIA for years. Don't make it bland between the dark-haired bad boy and the blond boy next door, please I'm begging you. And if you really can't write any other romance, then please just give me an action novel or a fantasy novel or a horror novel without any romance. Please. No more love triangles.

Hi! I just recently discovered your blog and I love the concept of a universe with interweaving storylines. It's so clever and unique. I wanted to ask, since you have such a huge number of fics, which one is your favorite? I also love the idea of original characters because that's quite uncommon in this fandom but reminds me of fanfiction I used to read when I was younger. What's your inspiration for the characters? Oh, anon. This is every author's dream question, istg.

First of all, welcome! I hope you enjoy my masterlist and future fics to come. My favourite fic: tough, but I'll probably say About You. It was a deeply personal one and needed to be handled just right, but I was really happy with the end product because it established a dynamic between Namjoon and Kaya that I can't quite put into words. It's not one of my more popular works and I can understand why, but it's definitely the one I'm proudest of.

This would probably be followed by The Fifth: Part 2 and You Make Me Live (honourable mentions to Double Take and In Time).

You've nailed my reasoning for going the OC route; my favourite thing about fanfiction in the days of yore (ie the 2000s and early 2010s) was the range of OCs and the excitement of making up your own. It limits my reader base but I can't imagine writing any other way.

Inspiration - this could be a long one. The first OC I came up with was Dilara, and she was supposed to be a protagonist for an F1 fanfic series I'd started writing (yes, shocker, I used to write F1 fanfic). A lot about her was inspired by another F1 OC I'd written, Tracy McNeil (a sports journalist), including the messed up family background and the lowkey insecurity coupled with the need to prove herself. Dilara is definitely far more of a romantic than Tracy, though, and I'd largely chalk that up to the support network she has that takes care of her and allows her to lead with her heart more.

Kaya was next - she's not inspired by anyone in particular, but I was thinking of what Namjoon would be like as a partner; after long gruelling days of arguing with the company, keeping the younger members in line, dealing with pushy journos, he would come home to the most comforting person in the world with whom he would be completely different, free to be himself, vent if he needed to, and show a softer side he'd keep secret from the rest of the world.

Lia was the third and she honestly came to life when I was working with the marketing team in my company and had a shit ton of work, and she was initially my outlet. She quickly moulded to Jungkook's character, though, and the dynamic we all know and love just fell into place. She arrives at the right time to pull Jungkook out of a bit of a low phase and is the right amount of opposite of someone else.

Nari and Sooah, an unlikely pair, came together for me because of another fic I'd written for a different fandom. It was the protagonist and her best friend, the former who was a bit of a party girl and was in a very messy FWB with the male protagonist, and the latter who was her taller friend who worked all the time and fell for the unlikeliest person she could think of without even realising it.

Miso and Chae were the last two. Miso was a bit tough, and is somewhat inspired by Marianne Sheridan from Normal People, just a bit, in terms of her being a bit of a loner and rubbing people the wrong way. Don't want to give too much away, but she could've only been written opposite Yoongi.

Chae, despite being my baby, was one of the hardest to create - although, once I did, I just connected with her instantly. I wanted to write Hoseok being the opposite of his sunshine self, and the person to bring that out would have to be a hell of a character. Their initial childhood meeting is inspired by one of my all time favourite movies, Flipped.

(While I don't think I'm anything like any of my characters, Kaya, Lia and I probably share some similar habits, primarily working a lot and being too tired for drama. Parts of Chaeyoung are also inspired by my teen years - I cringe so hard when I think of those days.)

Wait what? I've read a post saying that Lila will be having three moms or something and I can't understand anything anymore. What's going on? Also, what is this nonsense about her being "more manipulative than Gabriel ever was". This is a trashy sexist racist fanfic levels of stupidity I just can't-! Where's the Snake/Bunny Miraculous so we can reset time and stop Astruc and his co. from creating this garbage (and making the world better as a bonus) when you need them?

oh , yeah, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but according to the ML Bible, the season 5 finale is going to reveal that Lila has........ 3 moms. 3 moms that she is manipulating them somehow into thinking she's their daughter. Somehow.

Lila has "Mrs. Rossi" aka Diplomat Mom we saw in S2, who the bible describes as "Never at home, who gives Lila everything she wants to make up for not being there"

a ""deaf mom"" who knows Lila by the name of Iris, and she's convinced that Lila is a famous Film Actress, and that's why Lila is away so often.

And then she has a third mom who she calls "mother" that "The other characteristics of this character are still TBD" who knows Lila by the name of Cerise, and she thinks Lila is away from home so often because she's convinced.... that Lila............ is a on a Mission(tm) to the Savanna...................

But yeah. Surprise surprise surprise/sarcasm, Lila becomes the New Hawkmoth when she steals Gabriel's Miraculous in the s5 finale,

oh and it gets worse.

i just reread a line in the ML bible.

it's not just lila having Three Moms.

according to the ML bible, Lila has "several" Families. Several. and it gives instruction on how to create a new identity for her to assume:

the name of a flower in french + the name of a color in italian.

They're literally crafting a formula for them to not do just a "Monster of the week" show, they're crafting a formula for a "family of the week" show, where Lila has exponential number of identities and families she's somehow managing to manipulate and trick because she's Just That Evil!!!!1!!!!

So uh. Yeah, that's.... something to "look forward to" in S6 and S7.

If you think the writing involving Lila is stupidly convoluted and world-breakingly stupid for characters to believe, just wait for the S5 finale, where Lila....................... signs up in one of her alternate identities to attend school.

Lila is literally going to go to the same school under two different identities.

But yeah, the bible literally says: "Season 5 cliffhanger: someone will seize the Miraculous of the Butterfly. And that someone will be Lila, who has been found to be much more evil and manipulative than Gabriel Agreste ever was."

Hi there! I just wanted to drop in and say how much I've enjoyed your reviews on the new Coinless comic. I have to admit I ordered a physical copy, decided I absolutely couldn't wait, and got the kindle version the night before it released.

I don't really have people in my life that appreciate the PR fandom lol. I love talking about the comics but alas no one knows what I'm talking about. I really like the grittiness and futuristic feel of the Coinless Universe.

I confess I wrote some PR fanfics back in 2013 and my favorite character to write was the Evil Green Ranger. He was so much fun because I could be an absolute a-hole. It was a way to blow of steam.

When they introduced Lord Drakkon, I was intrigued because it was very in line with my version being a sadistic killer. I know people aren't a fan of the Jason being alive retcon but I laughed because it was on-brand with what my character would do. No quick easy death for the leader on his watch. Too much fun to toy with and also having a juicy secret when battling the Coinless.

I wasn't a fan of how they made Jason act like a d!ck but I thought about it and felt bad for him in the end. I know he was a teenager when he was imprisoned, mentally/physically tortured, and isolated. He lost a large chunk of formative years: graduating, venturing out in the world, getting a career, meeting a partner.

Then he's suddenly released into this alien new world where he doesn't understand how things have changed. He's operating on an outdated mindset. Not to mention severe PTSD and having to immediately deal with another monster before he can really process this new world. I'm guessing mental health services are probably lacking in the Coinless World, poor guy.

In the end, I wanted to give him a big hug in DND. And seeing how he was in this issue too. My heart!!!

And lol.... I joyfully shrieked/cackled when he gut shot Drakkon with the shotgun!! Beautiful!!!! I do hope he ultimately survives whether he takes up a suit or not.

I'm sure the Slayer will pull through too; I also enjoyed that bit with Drakkon losing his sh*t over losing her! I can't wait until the follow up.

Sorry so long; again I don't have anyone here that gets what I'm interested in :)

I will be totally honest here, part of my hatred for the retcon isn't just from how little sense it makes - part of it was also because I feared Boom was going to pander to the crowd that wanted King Tyranno to be canon. And while DND turned out to take a interesting spin on the concept, people still came out of it thinking that Jason was now automatically Drakkon's greatest foe and rival when it had been established for years that it was Kimberly/Ranger Slayer. (You know....the person who was trying to establish herself as basically A Good Drakkon in the very series that brought back Jason??????) And that attitude still annoys me to this day. It's not the books' fault, but it's just something that'll always exist as long as the fandom and Jason fans are Like That.

But as of now my opinion on Coinless Jason is just......if he has to be here, what they're doing with him is fine. Just don't go too far with him.

Especially when literally the only thing I care about now is SLAYERRRRRRRR and the potential for possessed!Slayer vs Drakkon angst >:)

------- It was weird seeing the Prof like this. Lucy had thought that Fendi was jumpy but this was worse. His sister, who she was lucky to know actually was his sister thanks to Katrielle’s letters, sat in the corner of the interrogation room while Drew sat in the middle. 

She’d been checked at the door by Flora for weapons. Flora was taking Drew seriously and it was maddening that he didn’t believe that him, or at least one of him had saved her life. She couldn't thank him because it could be a lie intended to manipulate him. Lawson had messed him up more than she thought.

“So you claim your name is Lucy Baker.”

“Come on Prof! There are years worth of records to prove it and I know you’ve been through ‘em.”

“Prof?”

“It’s a nickname I had for you. You didn’t like it so much at first you said your dad is a real professor but you warmed up for it because you are my prof, you’ve been teaching me how to be a real detective.”

“Oh.”

“You’ve known me since I joined here and were assigned to the mystery room.”

“Mystery room?”

“The backroom where we work,” this was her worst nightmare. Not only did he not remember her he also thought she was capable of doing something as awful as murdering him like Justin Lawson. He made her who she was and he couldn't even remember it. Or well, a part of him had. Lucy didn't fully understand what was up with this. She thought she had but she didn't.

“You call it the mystery room?”

“Because it’s where the toughest cases get solved!”

“Oh really?”

“Yeah, we’ve solved tons, our first were the hand sandwich. That were a fun one. There were this lady and she’d been killed in this hotel.”

“I read the file.”

“I trust her,” Flora pipes up, “Katrielle trusts her too and she’s a good judge of character. She can solve any mystery. Just like you, and Lucy.”

Lucy’s heart rate speeds, please let him trust her, please. If he trusted her maybe they could get somewhere, maybe she could help her friend.

“Hm.”

“Look, I’m not defending him but Lawson couldn't kill you. He had his chance and he couldn't finish you off. He brainwashed you, it’s worse but he used this manual to try to brainwash you. We think it’s where Al comes from.”

Drew laughs, “no! Al’s like me, he just was what Justin wanted because that’s the only way to survive. He’s not a product of some brainwashing!”

Lucy’s eyes brightened, he had answers! “So you came from before?”

“Oh long before I was even adopted. I can't remember ever taking on the last name Layton.”

“So why are you here?”

“To protect Alfendi, wait, you’re not the one doing the interrogating.”

“But don’t you see! We’ve been looking for the answers for ages and you have them. If you won't tell me can you write them down. Al and Fendi need to know, they’ve been so worried that some cheap manual could have done this.”

Drew hesitates, “you’re innocent, you don’t need me, you're innocent. Some suspect really did stab us.”

Finally! Fendi celebrities, suddenly rushing into control. Lucy’s eyes widen when she notices the change.

“Prof?” She asks tentatively. It was all in the shoulders when she saw them switch control and this was so much like Fendi.

“Lucy! I was so worried, are you okay,” he ran across the room to hug her. Lucy rushes to him, they throw their arms around each other and simultaneously wince when they hit each other's wounds.

“I’m fine Prof, thanks to you. I’ve even located the suspect, I needed to prove it wasnt me. I didn’t blame you for blaming me, not after Lawson but I had to prove myself to you!”

“Thank you Lucy. Thank you, and uhm Flora,” he turns to his sister who was already sneaking out the room, “i’m sorry. I was foolish for not contacting you. Drew remembers you. He has memories we don’t have and they’re mostly of you. I’m sorry.”

“Oh, it’s fine.”

“It isn’t fine, don't be foolish! I’ll try harder and now that Drew is around because he still is we need to figure out something for him. You’re smart enough to help us.”

“Thanks, I think,” Flora had never gotten on with Fendi, his attitude was just too aggressive for her. Not that she’d ever told him that, nor did she hold it against him. Sometimes his brutal honesty was helpful when the other people in her life preferred to sugarcoat the truth but overall, he was just a lot to take in, “uhm, I’ll be back later… In person. I just need to,” she leaves. 

Lucy frowns, Flora had been so bold a minute ago, “your sister’s a bit meek Prof.”

“She’s very clever Lucy, just had a weird life. Hopefully you’ll be getting to know each other well but for now, we need to write to Drew, tell that idiot who everyone is and who we trust.”

Lucy’s face lights up, “he trusts me Prof! That means he likes me!” she hugs him again, “all of you like me! I am your greatest friend!”

Fendi laughs, “that’s not an achievement, most people are scared of me. Now, come on. We need to get everything down and a certain someone wants to take control from me and say hi too. He’s not thinking of the bigger picture though!”

Flora listens to the celebration from outside the mystery room. Drew had been right about one thing. Keelan Makepeace had a few accomplices within the force. It was the only way Alfendi had been unable to solve the case. There was no way it was Lucy, she was too new but it was someone.

Now wasn’t the time to tell them what she’d discovered though. They were both happy and alive. The mole had no one to report to, he was isolated, it could wait a little while, until they were in a safe location. She pulls the files closer to her chest and heads to the filing room to return them.

“Hello Flora,” Blane smiles.

5 Things You Never Get Tired of Writing

These are things that come up often, though i haven't really thought too long and hard about whether they were actually the most frequent, or just those that came to mind first.

Please remember nothing of the following says anything at all about me, haha...

...and also that i actually don't write super sad hopeless stuff? Although i've been told some fics were super sad etc when i was all, no, there's hope, there's a good afterlife (if it's a relevant fandom for an afterlife), it's good? Eh. Though i'll admit to bittersweet endings, if i must. Occasionally.

Depression. Because i'm a happy camper ;-) Coping through a fog, pushing through, just going through the motions on the outside when the inside is an empty, barren land with howling wind (tumbleweeds etc etc). Somewhat related, a sense of alienation - from others, from oneself. Not fitting in. Looking at people, looking at the world as if through a smudged window, knowing you can't ever really reach out. Being alone, and knowing you'll always be (possibly wrongly). i don't know that i write specifically about that, but it pervades through my fics, i'd say. Between Matt, Loki, Severus, Harry, Frank, Tony, Lucifer... ahem. (and i'm not listing all those i'll eagerly read about but have not written about... yet ;-) *toes list under bed*

Death, though not necessarily as something inherently sad. Not so much my characters' deaths (i'm not a fan of permanent MCD unless it's about an afterlife, which i've written about roughly a zillion times in the Lucifer fandom), but how it surrounds them, how it's always waiting, how much they want it, sometimes - consciously or not. How it can look like an escape, a hope for peace, a haven, in those moments. But also, how someone's death will impact those who are left - the unsaid, the unknown, the unshown. Hi, Battlin' Jack Murdock! Hi, Frigga! Hi, Maria, Lisa, Frank Jr! i don't think it's necessarily obvious, but it lurks there, definitely. Oh! And in several fandoms, faith/god/transcendence; grappling with it, with the silence or with the moral imperatives, fighting against them or with them, etc. Funnily enough, love and faith are things that i don't get myself, but that i find endlessly fascinating.

3rd person POV, by which i mean, either an OC or someone who's not acutally the focus of the story. Nuff said ;-) Okay, fine, not nuff said. It's actually often fun to write - constraining in some ways, because you need to find ways for your POV character to know, learn, see some things that don't feel overly forced, and there are things that the POV character can't ever see, learn, or know. But the fun part is that this is fiction, and in particular fanfiction. Readers know what to expect because of the genre, the tropes, and if it's fanfic, the characters and settings (and AO3 tags ;-). The characters may not know they're in a story, but the writer and the readers do, and they know more, and you can play with that. You can make it obvious that a character feels, knows, hides something and still have them totally blind to it, for instance: that is where expressing things in body language helps. You can have some distance from a specific setting, bring fresh eyes to a place, a character, a relationship. It's also more comfortable for me because i am, in fact, uncomfortable writing big sweeping passionate paragraphs where a POV char expounds on their love / desire / feels, with a lot of emotional details and insight. Distance helps, so i don't feel horribly awkward, like i'm overdoing it, like i'm writing about what i don't understand. It's true especially for love, and i generally try to express it via actions (see: hurt/comfort ;-), behaviours, but not verbalizing it, be it in the mouths or the minds of the characters. Which has led me to write romances without a single kiss happening (and absolutely no Epic Declaration ;-), woops. i sometimes think readers must be very disappointed to click on what is tagged as shippy fic, when it turns out the shippy part is not very explicit if you want kissing, hand-holding, long angsty ruminations on your beloved, etc. (Cue tagging angst, because it is shippy enough in the general understanding of shippy to be tagged ship? etc)

showers and beds (showers BEFORE bed) ;-) Ideally, waking up feeling refreshed and ready, eager for the brand new day ahead (lol) Generally, taking care of a character who doesn't feel they should be taken care of, or of the whumpee if it's hurt/comfort, and getting them to accept it, to take it in. It can be physical or emotional, i'm easy ;-) But, yes, hurt/comfort and the variations thereof are a big kink. It's not necessarily "A was kidnapped and tortured and B will nurse them back to health" but there will be pain, and there will be (some) healing. And being comfy and warm ;-) (pls picture Frank Castle grumpily tucking Matt in and totally not tenderly brushing his stupid hair off his forehead)

Groups of three. It's one of the things i'm particularly self-conscious about, actually. i so often go for the x, y, and z rhythm, be it adjectives, or larger clauses. It's the rule of three! It feels too long if more, too short and unfinished if less. But it's so obvious and repetitive, that i forcibly remove some of them as i reread and tweak. While sobbing.

Writing for the Daredevil fandom actually informed my ficcing a lot, because you have to focus on expressing things without using sight, Matt being blind. How can you convey that your character observes, pays attention, in ways that are not (or not always, if the POV is a sighted character) visual? How can you show what a character feels and thinks through sounds, gestures, movements, etc? How do you try to relate to the world though all senses? This has helped me with writing alienation, depression, 3rd person POV, etc. Well, i don't know if it was successful and masterful etc at it, but it's certainly one of the things i'm aware i rely on.

Finally, the fact that i'm writing in English, which is not my native language, probably influences my writing a lot. There are rhythms, structures, word choices - or refusal to use some words, structures, rhythms - that are there because English is, and always will be, my second language. There's a constant teacher looking over my shoulder and i don't want them to think i'm using a word because it's too similar to the word i first knew; i want to show off i learned the vocabulary, learned the grammar. These days, the teacher is me, and i judge myself like my own students sometimes. And then, there are the people betaing: what if they're laughing at how bad i am at English? What if i get a bad grade and don't pass the fic exam? Woe! The 2d language thing also means that what a word, a sound, an image evokes for me might reach a reader very differently than what i thought. Even if i've never written in another language than English, even if reading fiction in my native tongue feels so unnatural now, even if there are many things, things that i fic about, that i am much, much more comfortable talking about in English than the language i was raised in... English is both distant and familiar, it's tiring to use and easier at the same time. i can't imagine writing in another language.

And then, i have recurring themes that sneak up on me for some reason or another; i've had the ocean come up again and again in several of my latest fics. i try to curb these tendencies, because to me, it feels… too obvious, too repetitive, too boring - who would want to read about my neuroses again and again ;-) (adds spaceships and dragons for ~spice~ There! Hidden!)

The Nobody Dies AU is a pretty good name and such. But there’s one missing fact. Our Lord and savior Geto still dies in the AU. Thus the name of the AU doesn’t match!

Therefore, I petition for a new name. How about “The Struggles of the Weak” AU?

Since the main characters in your JJK fanfics are characters that are considered weak, or tend to overcome weaknesses itself (e.g. Michi, Junpei, Mai).

A big inspiration for writing the AU was to focus on the more minor characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, the ones who do not get stronger, who get worse, and show them in a more sympathetic light. The idea actually started with Junpei. More or less my concept of Junpei's foiling with Yuji is that they both are idealists but Yuji is the type of person that can beat up any bully that ever tried to mess with him, but Junpei is not strong enough and gets beaten up instead.

Isn't it understandable then that Yuji who was strong enough to protect himself is able to keep his ideals and his positive attitude, whereas Junpei who was weak and beaten down becomes more of a disappointed idealist and spirals into negativity.

The characters I chose to focus on were characters who either died or were punished mercilessly by the narrative of Jujutsu Kaisen, for being weak. Junpei is shown sympathy despite turning into a curse user and attacking his class, but in the end he isn't saved and dies before he has the chance to redeem himself. That's part of the tragedy of the Jujutsu World, but you know that's what fanfic is for.

Basically the whole point of the AU is to deconstruct the ideas that "Strong = Good" and "Weak = Immoral", and show people much more complicated to be defined by that binary. After all, if Yuji did not have super strength and had to endure being beaten and then burned like Junpei did, then would he endure it better than Junpei had? A lot of what makes people weak or strong is often situational rather than some kind of internal quality. There's also a strength in weakness too, there's worth in enduring even if that's not all you can do and you don't have it within yourself to conquer your situation or fix your problems all on your own. One thing I wanted to demonstrate with Junpei is that despite how disappointed he is with people, the idealist inside of him still remains which shows in the way he treats Mimiko and Nanako. He is someone who much like Yuji wants to reach out and help others, but circumstances have not allowed him too and he can't really change those circumstances without outside help. And Yuji may have super strength, but he has also been helped by the people around him time and time again.

The fic continued and I decided to focus on Mai especially after she gave that dumb speech to Maki on her death that was more or like "You're never going to get stronger because I don't want to be strong" and then the fic 'Werewolf' was born out of my desire to show that Mai may not be able to punch people as well as Maki, she may whine and make excuses and blame others but she has her own strengths too. A person as weak as Mai struggling and needing help isn't any different from Maki, there's no weak or strong twin they're just both people with their own weaknesses and strengths. After all Maki is strong physically but you could make the argument she's weak emotionally, she's not even capable of having a basic conversation with Mai or showing her feelings because that means exposing herself to that vulnerability.

I think Shoko is weak in the fact she has no vulnerability at all, so therefore she forms no attachment to people. She's basically invulnerable with her RCT and yet she never gets close to people at all, and never tries to form deep and meaningful relationships and stays on the outside of things instead.

That's a good point about Sigma and Delta though, the real tragedy of Three's Company is that Sigma and Delta never really stood a chance to win because they sent the three strongest students after them to hunt them down. It's not really the individual choices of any single person involved in that story, but rather not a single one of them was really strong enough to change the world. Shoko, Gojo, and Geto all in part sympathize with the kids but they don't go against their orders and still bring them in. Sigma and Delta only want to live in peace, but they just don't have the strength to make that happen. Sigma loses not because he's wrong or immoral, he's just weaker than Gojo. Gojo at that point also is in his first year and isn't particularly concerned about doing the right thing he is just finishing the mission. Which is why more or less the story epilogue ends on Shoko and Gojo visiting Geto's grave, because after not saving Sigma and Delta, the next person that both of them were too weak to save was their own friend.

There's strength in weakness, and weakness in strength, that's basically the message I wanted to get across for the whole AU.

I might still keep the name nobody dies AU, because the AU was inspired by the fact I did not like Nanako, Mimiko and Junpei's death and found them unnecessary, and the bigger goal of the AU is to give screen time to characters like Mai who died before they ever had a chance to shine.

"No, it isn't," Shadow insisted. He had taken a shaky breath, and now he was feeling a little stronger. "Well, yes, it is. That's what I mean. It's not for me to know. I'm just a guest in your house." "Maybe you should just open it," said Zero. "I'd go ahead and explain it all to you, if you wanted." Shadow swallowed, hard. "No, I wouldn't." "So, what is it?" Shadow asked, squinting in the darkness.

I think Akane don't deserve her. Akane is a character I like. Of course I know how he behaves when it comes to Aoi, but in the last chapter he proved that he is willing to leave her for cause no.1, which I approve of. Akane isn't quite like nene because he only sees Aoi and not every chick who smiles at him. This is what makes them different from each other. Akane appreciates Aoi, sees her advantages and disadvantages, sees that she needs to work on herself and accepts that she is the way she is, unlike the daikon who keeps saying "I don't understand? Why, WHY are you like this?!!” and wonders about herself as a victim and thinks that she is the center of the world, being a complete idiot and thinking that she knows everything best, but in fact she knows nothing. She thinks the world revolves around her disgusting self I mean first she said in the earlier volumes, in the narrative, that she was "loves by millions of readers", and now she called herself a "star of the festival", she is not really modest. Her ego is really high and she is not modest considering the complexes she has - her ego and self-perception are really at a high and egoistic level, and her ego is constantly growing, as I see.
