Ok so I saw Film Red again today and here are my ramblings about it

Spoiler warning!

-I love Uta’s outfit when she takes out the pirates trying to kidnap her the lance is really cool

-The stamina it’s gotta take to keep the sing-sing illusion going is bonkers Blueno makes a comment about how taxing it is to use the door-door fruit and remembering how little Law could do during Dressrosa and Punk Hazard to save his energy for fighting I think helps put into perspective just how crazy it is that Uta is creating a fantasy world where the people there essentially can have anything they want while also duking it out with the marines in reality and being under the affects of wakeshroom overdose

-Explains why she can save luffy from water despite being a df user herself because his real body is still on dry land

-I just thought it was interesting that when they were younger after Luffy Yassop was the first other pirate to wake up from Uta’s singing

-When asked what the audience thinks of pirates a child screams for the pirates to bring their mother back which makes me think if Uta has enough information could she “Bring back the dead” in a sense?

-During the little montage of Gordon explaining Uta’s past when she gets the transponder snails and starts to gain fans she literally starts climbing pedestals as the fans send their love until finally she sits on the very top and all she hears are all the awful things happening elsewhere (mostly due to pirates) which if you think about the fact that Uta KNOWS she was the one who destroyed Elegia (only a year after it happened?) it makes sense why she feels the need to bring a world of peace to these people that maybe it can right her own wrongs (even tho it was really tot musica possessing her as a child and taking its revenge on the island that imprisoned it)

-She isn’t omnipotent in the sing world it being the limits of a df but I imagine her awakened form very much could be

-I love that SunnyKun is a little lion thing but god I wish Law had to carry his ship in a fish bowl or a little room bubble

-WHY DOES SANJI SLEEP LIKE THAT 💀

-The fact that Uta can also use peoples devil fruit powers is crazy wild and the fight between Uta and Fujitora/Kizaru is super fucking cool

-The snails can still transmit videos outside of reality I think it would be cute if you caught a transponder snail napping u could see their little snail dreams (I imagine doflamingo’s transponder snail has nightmares 💀)

-ODA PLS I WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROCKY PORT INCIDENT QUIT TEASING US WITH KOBY AND GIVE HIM THE SPOTLIGHT FOR A SEC I BEG

-I love that there are people in the crowd for and against staying in Uta’s sing world I imagine if things had gone differently and Uta was upfront about her ability she really could have made a world for people to be happy for a bit even if it is ultimately a dream

-Law putting Luffy in timeout is hilarious but also Luffy breaks out of Bart’s ball and ends up getting put BACK IN TIME OUT 😂

-Ok so they explain that Tot musica is literally man’s fear and doubts given form to this “demon” I love that on the flip side Uta is an angel of hope (but also love the fight between luffy and tot being a god vs demon thing)

-I was surprised for a second when Robin didn’t chew out Franky for destroying the records room but it is only in the dream I imagine when they woke up she took another peak down there 👁

-Going back to Tot being an entity created from human emotions luffys is too? Luffy’s is just happiness

-Oven makes a comment about there being a record because this was an incident that happened before and with how old the music papers were I wonder if this was during the void century ^reasons robin would take another look

-Everyone looks so good everyone looks so hot usopppppppp ♥️♥️♥️

-I like that Luffy actually gives a clear answer on why he wants to become the king of pirates and it’s to create a new era I wonder what it would be called

-Is it just me or did Gordon sound WAY more upset in the dub when he goes “THEYRE DEAD! EVERYONES DEAD!!! THEY KILLED THEM!” Because in the sub he seemed a lot more reserved about it

-I still don’t think the red haired pirates should have left uta I get that what happened is a lot they didn’t want that on her consciousness but I think just straight up lying to her about it was also terrible imo

-“Bad guys need to look like Bad guys” literally makes them look so fucking cool probably my favorite strawhat outfits individually but absolutely my favorite look as a group for suresies

-When Tot Musica shows up the Five Elders couldn’t mute the recording making me think for a second they were asleep too but also where do the people asleep elsewhere go in their dream? And that Tot can manipulate the transponder snails too is scary

-Tot musica is actually super scary ngl

-That flute is way way too loud when luffy and uta make up

-Ben saying our daughter kills me yesss

-Sanji bringing back the “Something only u can do” for Brûlée

-Also can I take a second and say brûlée and oven look so good in this movie I do wish that other characters got more spotlight but I’m glad they don’t look like trash or are used as the butt of a joke

-I could do with less Bartolomeo……

-I loved seeing Koby take charge for the final battle strategy wise I really want to see the Rocky port incident!!!

-Katakuri and brûlée sharing sight is cool but that also makes me think brûlée has observation haki considering katakuri usopp and yassop do which makes sense considering her df powers and how she uses it mostly for intel gathering for mama

-Sanji and zoro cooperating for .5 seconds is always fun

-Usopp finally calming down and using his haki is so so good

-Zues is alive and with Nami pls pls pls pls plssssss

-Everyone fighting simultaneously at the end is probably one of my favorite one piece moments I’m ngl all the build up and then actually knowing the characters it just all fit so well the music fucking rocked and I had a great time

-Shanks being found by Rodger in a chest is super fucking cute but Oda really pulled one over us giving Uta red hair but that makes me think why would a baby like Uta be found in a chest (I’m assuming it’s bc baby uta ate a df so someone was just going to sell her or whatever) but before Uta’s backstory was revealed I was leaning heavily on Uta being something created by Vegapunk a la the seraphim

-Uta looks so tired by the end Jfc let her sleeeep

-Oda really has to kill all of Luffy’s siblings Jfc 💀

-Loved the credit scene now I know that Johnny and Yosaku are just chilling with Nojiko

-Also the after credit scene when luffy tries to talk to sunny again for a second is still cute and I’m convinced this proves that sunny has a soul because uta only affects people’s souls and when she changed the people in the dream she didn’t make them disappear but changed their form into toys etc that’s why I think sunny didn’t just disappear but was turned into sunnykun

September/October stories and struggels

Happy spooky season everyone!!! It’s been a while since we last talked, school has be crazy and I feel like I am going more insane as the days pass but I finally found a little free time to chatch up with you. Considering that I had so little time those past weeks, I watched quite a few movies, most of them movies I wanted to watch since forever and I’m really happy I finaly got to see them plus I’m even more exited to discuss them!

So starting with the movie I watched back at the beginning of september. I hate it when I don’t get to write those discussions right after I finish that certain movie or book because I don’t remember all the details and I hate not remebering all the details but there is nothing we can do about it now, I took notes tho while watching so we have at least some of the details.

Starting of with ‘Chemical Hearts’, I was so super excited to watch this one because I absolutely love Lili Reinhart and I was so so so excited to see her in this movie, besides that, a few years ago I started reading the book this movie is based on and I was even more excited because of that. Lili was absoultely stunning in this movie I love her and I loved her as Grace! I remember feeling so inspired after watching this movie, I wanted to take out my notebook and write, I think the best movies and the best books are those who inspire you those who leave you with louds of ideas, the ones that make you want to do something as inspring, I love that feeling and this movie definitely gave me this feeling, I absolutely loved it. It also had sooo many beautiful phrases full of thruth they bescaly exposed what it’s like to be a teenager and I loved that! I wanted to write down all those wise phrases so so beautiful!! As I said before I loved Grace so much and it was so painfull to see her go trough all those phases but it was also so relatable and the fact that in the end she and Henry didn’t got back together made the whole thing even better because that’s just life you think youre going to be together forever but that’s not how it realy goes and high school it’s just a little portion of youre life and then your paths divide...it’s sad but its very true! I also love (ok I am deffently using the word love way to offten I’m really sorry..) how she said that one time that she is broken and he should’t try to fix her like one of his pots (by the way I loved that thing with breaking the pots and than rebuilding them and the parallel to Grace....ahhhh just perfect😍😍) because he couldn’t fix her, that sentace stayed with me since than, I found it sooo sooo beautiful!!! I highly recomend this movie! 

I also finnaly, after such a long time, got to watch ‘Little Women’, I was ultra exited for this movie, I have the book laying around in my bookshelf for a year now and I wanted to read it but as I said earlier the time isn’t with me. And I normaly don’t do this but I diced to watch the movie before reading the book because I was way to exited for, it and guess what I more that enjoyed it, I loved it!!!!!! I can’t wait to read the book even tho of corse I got spoiled for it because I watched the movie first but the book is always better so I’m sure I will still love it!

This movie was as inspiring as Chemical Hearths, Jo inspired me so so much and jet again after whatching this I wanted to grab my notebook and write my own stroy (or better say continue it) I loved Jo, she was my favorite out of all the March sisters even tho I didn’t always agree with all her actions like how she refused to marry Laurie even tho I do get her point on marriage and I also very much agree with her but still I loved Laurie and it made me so so sad to see him suffer! Also I think I’m not the only one who after watching this movie got all obsessed with Timothée Chalamet!!!

But I guess Jo and Laurie are eally better friends than anything more because I really really liked their friendship! I also really liked Amy with her painting and all but oh boy I got so mad at her for stealing Laurie away ahhaah... but than I kind of made my peace with it I have learned to accept it because it must have been hard for her to live in Jo’s shadow and she had a crush on Laurie all her life. Ooooo but when she burned Jo’s papers oh my God I was fuming I was beyond mad I don’t even want to imaging what it must have been like for Jo! Another thing I absolutley loved about this story is that all the sister where so artsy, I love art so much and I found it so beautiful how each sister had her own art, Jo with the writing, Amy with the painting, Beth with the music, Meg with fashion, that was sooo sooo nice and their palys!!!! Ah God my hearth when they were making up all of those theater plays, absolutley lovely! As I mentioned Beth, I’m sure there is more about her in the book because even tho she is important for the story I feelt like there wasn’t much of her and I’m not sure I like her but only because we only saw so little of her. As for Meg I really really wanted to like her more because she likes fashion and everything but I don’t know... her wanting to marry so early and become a house wife... that ruined her a little for me because I have to admit I am with Jo on that one I feel like she could have done so much more in her life than what she got, I am reaching high as Jo, I don’t want such a “boring” life like Meg. Other that that I also really loved the time period they live in and I love how their mother thought them to be nice and so lovely, I love how they have given their Christmas food to that poor family and how they have been taking care of the so so beautiful! Ah but that guy, Friedrich something... I didn’t liked him at all and I don’t like it that Jo chose him in the end but what can one do... I’m really proud of Jo tho, that she didn’t give up and that she made it as writer and I am really looking forward to read the book!

Next we have ‘The Sun is also a Star’ movie, as I mentioned in one of my previous posts ‘The Sun is also a Star’ is one of my favourite books of all time ( by the way I found the notes I took while reading the book and I to this day regret not writing a discussion about it...) so I was very exited to see what they did with the movie and I had very high expectations! I must say I liked it of course it wasn’t as good as the book but it was all right I guess. There were tho some things that bothered me, I am aware that the movie can’t be exactly as the book but still I think those changes they made are kind of crucial and that’s why they bothered me so much. Starting with the fact that they made out of that one day where everything takes place into one day and a half like nooooo just no!!!! They ruined the magic of that one beautiful perfect day, the book starts in the morning and it ends at night with her leaving and not like in the movie the folowing day!!!! The other thing is that they left out that security guard lady, in the book for me that lady had such an important role and I can’t agree with them leaving her out in the movie! And this point also leads us to the ending, it bothered me that they didn’t found each other again in the airpale (with the help of the security guard lady) I cryed so much when I read that part and I don’t agree with how they made them meet again in that coffee shop it’s just not accurate! I know it’s impossible to do everything perfect and I konw I am beeeing nit-picking but still. And not to forget how they changed the thing with the lawyer guy, or better say how they left out that it was his fault that Natasha had to leave, because of his affair with his secretary, I still blame him and I don’t agree with him beeing so innocent in the movie! I know I have criticsed this movie a lot but I did enjoyed whatching it and did like it!

I also watched those new dance movies on Netflix the one with Sofia Carson, ‘Feel the Beat’ I believe it’s called and the other one with Sabrina Carpenter and Liza Koshy, ‘Work it’. I had such a great time watching them they gave me such happy feelings! I have to say tho that I liked ‘Feel the Beat’ more, in my eyes it was better than ‘Work it’ but they were both really good and funny! They made me want to dance again, I feelt really sad that I gave up dancing because I really love dancing and I belive that in an other life I was supposed to be a dancer but you can’t change the past...

Oh my how is it possible that I almost forgot to mention this amazing movie... I also watched Enola Holmes and my God did I have a great time watching it! It had everything I ever wanted, it was funny, it had mystery in it ( I always love myself a good mystery), it took place in London (London is my favourite city ever), there was British accet all over the place, it had action and not to forget Sam Claflin also had a role in it, (I love Sam Calflin)!  I also love Millie Bobby Brown and she was once again amazing! It was really really good I highly highly recomend watching it!!! (Not to repeat myself but this was also a very inspiring movie 😂😂)

And because I am already at it and I was more than excited when it came out I want to mention how much I love Shawn Mendes new song ‘Wonder’, that song is such a masterpeace I can’t listen to it enough I am basicly crying every time I hear it, because of how much I love it and how much it toches my hearth! The lyrics ahhhhhh......😍😍😍so so so beautiful I just can’t and don’t get me started on the music video! And when I watched the trailer to his documetary the other day I was screaming and crying at the same time with excitement I can’t wait to watch it!!! And I can’t wait to listen to the new album, December can’t come soon enogh! If all the songs on that album are as good as ‘Wonder’ I think I’m going to pass out!!

Can we also talk about how Ariana Grande is releasing a new album this month??!! Like how unespected and more than welcomed is that! The single is coming out tonight and I can’t wait for it!

Even tho I’m still on my One Direction phase from the summer and I don’t think it will ever go away, I still welcome this new music with all my hearth! ( Yes I am kind of 10 years to late with my obsession with One Direction but I don’t care I love them and they have totaly marekd my summer this year and they got me trough the hard days.) They are my happy place and my go to running songs! I also will forever love and treasure Harry Styles esspecially young Harry Styles like omg my heart😍😍! 

And because I started talking about it I have to mention it now because I forgot to do it in my ‘Chain of Gold booktalk’ the song ‘Slow Hands’ by our boy Nail I totally conect it with Matthew Fairchild, I can’t explain why but I do! I tend to do this thing where I conect a certain song with a book character, the one song I am obsessed with at that time I am reading a certain book tends to become the song of one of the characters and every time I listen to that song I think about that character. Like ‘Boyfriend’ by Ariana Grande is in my head Julian Blackthorn’s song and ‘Havana” by Camila Cabello Isabell Lightwood’s. Does that make sens? Probably not and I also got totaly of topic I’m really sorry!

I don’t like him,” Drake frowned as he clutched his glass of whiskey, watching the strange boy that had just entered their home from the second story railing. Olivia smirked. “What’s there to like? He's taking out your baby girl. Although, I hear he’s very sweet.” Drake looked at his wife, stunned. “Sweet? Since when is ‘sweet’ part of your vocabulary? Geez, Liv, when did you start going soft?” he scoffed, taking a sip of his drink. Olivia rolled her eyes, “Our daughter likes him. So, let’s try to be nice.”

Be nice. Yeah, like that was going to happen. To Drake, Zenobia was still the little girl that liked to dress up in pink dresses and pigtails. She was not hitting puberty. And she was definitely not allowed to like boys yet. Especially boys, Drake hadn’t met. The boy (Alexander, Olivia would remind him) had been Zenobia’s partner in chemistry class. Here he was, not as her chemistry partner, but as her date.

Drake didn’t say anything as he and Olivia entered the sitting room, merely glaring at the boy in question. Olivia did the same, eyeing the creature standing before her, looking him up and down like a bug that needed to be squashed. She smirked to herself. “Hello, you must be Alex.” 

“Good evening, Your Grace,” he replied nervously. To his horror, Olivia’s face went from smug to sour, sending shivers down his spine. “She’ll be right down,” she continued.

“And Mr., err, I mean Lord Walker,” the boy nervously spoke, extending his hand. Olivia elbowed Drake in the ribs. Right, he was also expected to greet the boy and shake his hand. “Nice to meet you…Alexander.” He noticed the boy swallow nervously. “Wonderful to meet you, Your Grace.” Drake didn’t bother to tell him to call him Drake. Tonight, Lord Walker and Your Grace would do just fine, no matter how much he hated his title. He didn’t intend on getting that familiar with the boy.

Olivia gestured for Alex to have a seat as she and Drake did the same. Drake, Olivia, and Alex stared at each other for a long moment, the boy fidgeting under their intense gazes. It had been a while since Olivia had made someone squirm. She truly missed the feeling.

“So…,” the boy finally spoke, clearing his throat. Olivia held her hand up to silence him. It was time to get down to business.

“Zenobia’s father and I have one rule for dating our daughter. If you hurt her, we will hurt you. We have an armory of weapons that would make your head spin, as well as connections with the Royal Guard and the Black Asps. So, if I were you, I'd be mindful of who you’re dealing with here. You have no idea what I’m capable of.” Drake smiled to himself. Finally his wife was speaking like she had some sense. The fiery duchess had emerged. Alex felt his throat constrict. “We’re not worried about you taking care of our daughter. She can take care of herself. She is trained in three types of martial arts, the use of firearms, and knife throwing. And if we so much as hear a peep about any advances, my husband and I will be sure to erase you from existence. Have I made myself clear?”

Crystal. He wanted to say yes, but his voice escaped him. All he could do was nod. Olivia smiled back at him. Was this woman bipolar?  Luckily, Zenobia appeared in the room, saving his skin. “Are you two done terrorizing my date?”

"Of course we are," Olivia smiled. Zenobia turned her attention to Alex. “Hey, are you ready?”

Olivia and Drake raised their brows at the boy. “Uh, yeah. Let’s go,” he answered, “Lovely to have met you both,” he bowed before hurriedly leading Zenobia out the door.

Drake stared at the spot his daughter and her date had just stood. "Yup, still don't like him." He looked over at Olivia who let out a sigh. "And what happened to your whole 'be nice' bit? You almost made the poor kid piss his pants" he chuckled.

"Did you see how skinny he was, Drake?! I bet he wouldn’t last a single round of combat with Zenobia, or any of our children. The boy looked weak,” her words dripping with disgust.

"Yeah, but on the bright side, we have the house to ourselves. So, what do you say we get into a little one on one combat?” Drake smiled, mischief in his eyes. Olivia's gaze matched his.

“You’re on, Walker.”

The teenagers walked up to the movie theater, arm in arm. Once Zenobia leaned her head on Alex’s shoulder, he seized the opportunity, placing his arm around her and accidentally nudging one of the knives she had hidden on her person. Before he could even smile, Zenobia had grabbed him by the wrist and flipped him over, landing on the ground with a loud thud. A groan escaped him.

“Ohmigod, I’m so sorry,” Zenobia cried, realizing what she had done.

“Man, your mom wasn’t kidding,” he grumbled as Zenobia helped him up.

“Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine,” he managed.

“Good. Now hurry up, or we’ll miss the previews,” she cried, yanking Alex forward by his other wrist.

“Ouch, could you loosen your grip a bit?” He was beginning to worry about the pain in his other wrist.

Zenobia sighed in frustration. “Oh, suck it up. Be a man!”

Of all the girls—and boys—Alex had ever met, Zenobia was the most obsessed with war and action flicks. She managed to point out all the flaws with the weapons and fighting tactics. Who would have thought there was more than just loading a gun to show you meant business? He was amazed by her strange brand of intelligence and wondered how she was so knowledgeable. “So, you’re a fighter..?,” he asked. The thought of Zenobia possibly kicking his ass again both amused and frightened him.

“Yeah, I guess you could say that. My parents put me in lessons as soon as I could walk,” she replied. “I know it might be kind of weird, but I seriously love them for that. It’s taught me independence. And I don’t ever have to worry about anyone messing with me.”

“And the weapons?” he asked, slightly unnerved.

“Same thing. At first, I thought my parents were just paranoid, but my mom encouraged me. She said a Nevrakis is always prepared for battle and that every daughter of a Nevrakis must know how to handle a blade. So yeah, I learned all that stuff when I was nine,” she said, smiling like it was the most casual thing in the world.

After the movie, Alex walked Zenobia to the door. “So, I guess this is goodnight. I had a great time.” Alex said nervously, weighing the risks of asking for a kiss.

“I had a good time, too. We should do it again soon.” An awkward silence stood between them before Zenobia finally spoke. “Well, okay then…Goodnight,” she said nervously, before turning to open the door. Alex drew a deep breath. Just go for it, man, he told himself. And he did. Alex grabbed Zenobia’s arm, thinking he could recreate one of those great first date movie kisses. Wrong. On reflex Zenobia spun around, her kick landing in Alex’s stomach, followed by a right hook to the face. Once again, she’d left the guy lying on the ground, but this time with a step to his groin before placing her knife at his throat.

The scream was loud enough to be heard across the grounds, including her parent’s bedroom. Olivia un-cuffed Drake and snatched her robe off the floor covering herself before grabbing her emergency dagger from the bedside table. Drake followed suit and grabbed his gun, both of them running out their bedroom and to the front door, flinging it open. “Honey, everything okay?” Olivia asked, concerned at the sight.

“And why the hell is Alex on the ground, Zenobia?” Drake added, slightly confused.

“He grabbed me! It’s not my fault!” she explained, dropping her knife and apologizing profusely.

“That’s my girl,” Drake smiled, ushering his daughter inside. Olivia looked down at the hurting boy and smiled in satisfaction. “Good night, Alex. Get home safe,” she grinned, shutting the door in his face before Zenobia had a chance to bid the boy a proper goodnight.
