Wishlist For Someone Special

Ok, so I'm feeling really sappy and just a little lonely. All my friends are boring and my family members are too young for me to take to do some stuff.

This is kind of a wishlist of things I wish I had someone to do with or look forward to doing eventually...not necessarily romantic, but I wouldn't mind if it was. (broskis, I ain't never been on a date, not even, like, a platonic one, so bear with me if it seems ridiculous)

Stargazing- lying on a blanket in an open field or in the bed of a truck, just watching the stars, pointing out constellations, and making up stories

Watching the Northern Lights- bundling up in our warmest winter clothing, grabbing a couple campchairs and hot chocolate as we watch them dance and flicker.

Laser Tag- sneaking around, just trying to one up each other, or being on the same team and still- try to one up each other😂

Paintball- a little more painful than laser tag, but still fun. Checking up on each other afterwards to make sure there aren't any really bad bruises

Graffiti- I've always liked the way it looks. I would love for someone to teach me, or for us to learn together in one of those public graffiti houses

A Willow Tree- I would love to find a weeping willow tree and climb it's branches, only to sit and read there with my loved one enjoying their company.

Just Drive- just take a roadtrip with someone I love, blasting music, laughing, singing, and snacking as we blaze down the roads. It doesn't have to be long.

Visit an Animal Sanctuary/Reserve- I find animals fascinating, but also find that sanctuaries and reserves are more educational and often more humane than zoos.

Volunteer at the Food Bank or SPCA- just general acts of service. They make me happy.

Pillow Fortress- I didn't really get to make blanket forts when I was younger, so I want to try doing something even bigger! I want to convert the couch into a cuddle palace.

Spontaneous Dancing- idk man, it just makes me really happy. My dad used to twirl and dip me when I was little, so that's probably where it started.

Cooking/Baking Together- so what if we make a bit of a mess? So what if we screw up the recipe? It doesn't matter, it was time well spent.

Cleaning Together- Growing up as an only child for ten years and then becoming the oldest means I've done chores alone for a long time. I want someone's company, maybe we'll talk, maybe we'll work in comfortable silence, or maybe we'll blast music. I don't care. I would be happy just to know I wasn't alone.

Learning One of Their Hobbies- I want to learn something they know!! Please, let me understand a little better, I just need them to be patient with me.

Forest Walks- especially in Fall. I want to walk down an old trail, listen to leaves crunch under our feet as more fall from above I want the blustery weather to give us rosy cheeks and noses by the time our walk is over.

Horseback Riding- I've done it before, but I would love to bring someone with me. You have more experience? Great! I love to see that confidence in you. You've done it a couple times? Yay, we're in the same boat! Never done it at all? That's ok! I'll do what I can to help you!

Outdoor Movie Night- we don't have drive- in theaters anywhere nearby, but give me a sheet, campchairs, and a projector? I've got us.

Indoor Movie Night- let's bundle up and cuddle together while we watch a new movie. Or maybe it's a classic. Idc.

Try New Food- let's go somewhere for lunch and pick something completely foreign...(I am not eating guinea pig again though, thanks.)

The Wharf- if one of us happens to live by the ocean, we'll be frequent visitors. Not necessarily the beach, bit on wooden planks where the salty sea air still reaches you. We can watch the boats come and go. (Fisherman's Wharf in B.C Canada is fun. There's a really good Mexican food place😂 There's a blind seal named Sammy that lives there, and you can buy a bucket of fish to feed him. Be careful though, seagulls are vicious, being pecked by one sucks...yes, I needed a bandaid and my finger was sore for a long time. Idk if it's still like that, it's been a while. Sorry, just reminiscing a bit.)

Painting- let's buy a couple canvases and paint and see what we can do! It doesn't have to resemble anything, just do what feels like you.

Splatter Painting- dear god I've wanted to try this for so long. Just full on globs of paint and flicking it towards the canvas. (I was never allowed to do it because it was seen as a waste of paint. I couldn't even do it with an old toothbrush on a small canvas😑)

Video Games!- Please teach me how to play! Video games are banned in my family. I mean, I've done Just Dance, but that's about it. Mobile games have been kept a secret...basically just teach me to play and don't make me feel bad about playing, and I'll love you forever, mkay?

Ice Cream Date- again, idk. The idea just makes me really happy, whether we're sitting in a small shop, eating and talking. Or maybe we're walking, maybe holding hands, trying to point things out to each other, but our hands are full, but there's no way we're letting go. Or maybe we're sharing a cup of ice cream on a park bench, just people watching.

Thrift Store Outfits- I want to go to a thrift store and pick out the most ridiculous outfits for each other. We don't have to go anywhere, but just humour me when we're alone by wearing whatever I found for you, and vice versa.

Writing- writing a poem, a atory, a quote, or learning calligraphy and just writing their name- I want to write something to you

Books- let's go to the library and choose a book for each other, one that neither of us have read so we can talk and ask questions, come up with theories as we continue to read.

Books pt.2- if you write me a note and give me a book telling me why it's one of your favourites, I'll melt. I'll do the same for you, and soon we'll have a few more things to talk about and enjoy together

Music!- you bet your bottom dollar I'm going to send you music that reminds me of you, and I would be overjoyed to recieve the same.

Music! Pt.2- if you happen to play, sing, or dance, let's make something beautiful together! If not, I'll teach you!

Improv/rp- just making stuff up as we go, not caring if other people hear our conversations.

Trampoline Park/Something Similar- I just want to try it. Don't care if I break my leg, I want to try it. I'll care if you break your leg though.

Plant Shopping- again, idk. Just the idea of choosing a succulent or two to take care of together sounds nice.

Dance Classes- maybe you're already an amazing dancer, I'll let you take the lead. Maybe you just know the basics like me, we can learn together. (I know how to do the basics for, like, salsa, cumbia, bachata, swing, and waltz, that's it. Please teach me more🤩)

Sewing/Knitting/Crocheting/Fabric Work- useful skill! And maybe we can make something for each other. (Spoiler alert: you're getting a pillow case, mask, or a scarf, I can't do much yet😂)

Rage House- let's just let loose! Make a mess! Yell! Doesn't matter, all of it's legit. I just want to destroy stuff.

Weird Cuddles- again, just the idea makes me happy. If you're lying down, I may as well just flop on you, right? Or maybe somehow we end up upside down. Cuddling while we read books or listen to music. Ok so maybe just cuddling but it feels weird because I'm touch-starved👌

Late Night Calls- I've never done this with anyone under happy circumstances. Could you help me change that? It would be nice to have the last thing before I go to sleep be reassurance and happiness.

Calendar/Planning- let's make a calendar together with pictures of the places we want to go one day. Let's talk to each other so we know what we both want and make sure we put it down.

Scuba Diving- this is something I've wanted to do since I was little- actually it was the first job I said I wanted. I don't want to do it as a career anymore, but I would love to try it with you.

Finding Random Things- little things that remind me of you. Maybe I was out and found a heart shaped rock. Or I heard a bird sing and managed to record it. Or maybe there was a cute keychain at the store that reminded me of you. And that would be enough to make me smile.

Ride a Double-Decker Bus- I've done it before, but the excitement that comes with the thought of riding one again makes me giddy. Just being able to see the city and people from a mobile throne😂

Bike Riding- let's explore nearby, just riding together. Maybe you have trails you want to show me. You can lead, I'll follow. Or vice versa. If we get lost at least we can laugh about it later.

Camping- lets share a tent and a campfire together, roasting smores as we laugh and tell each other stories. Maybe we'll try and sing a few songs too.

Punch Buggy- just playing the game properly will make me happy tbh. It's been 8 years of bending the rules😂

Board/Card Games- yes. I will get competitive. But that's half the fun. Also, I would like to play these properly as well lol

Museum Date- maybe somewhere local, or maybe we were driving by and decided to stop, or maybe we actually planned to go. Let's learn something new together, take some pictures.

Comfy- I didn't know what else to call it. Basically, take out, sweat pants, (messy buns), snacks, drinks, and a good show. Bonus if it's storming outside.

Rain- watching it rain, listening tonit rain, going outside and dancing or running in the rain, jumping in puddles- I want to do it all with you.

Little Gestures- little things we develop as we get to know each other, faces that we come to understand, hand movements we start to copy. Idk, I find it really cute.

Ok guys, sorry this isn't what, well, any of us were expecting. I guess this is my Valentine's Day post?? Idk. If you read it, I hope you liked it.

Cassandra

Cassie messaged Liam before she got in her car. It was tempting to arrive unannounced and surprise them but given the levels of guards, labyrinthine palace halls, and fact they might not be home, she judged it best to let him know. It was a good hunch, too; she wasn’t able to visit until much later in the day. The result, it seemed, was the guard readily allowing her through the gates, the valet taking her keys without question, and the palace doors being opened before she had even retrieved what she had brought.

Only when her car had been driven away and she saw the impressions on the grass where the press and podium had stood, and the marks on the gravel where the news vans had parked, did the reality of where she was settle in. The surreal sensation of standing outside the ruling monarch’s residence was broken by a polite cough by the palace entrance.

Cassie turned to face an older, formally attired man standing in the open doorway. He nodded to her, then stepped back to welcome her inside. She had seen him before somewhere but couldn’t quite place him.

With bag and boxes in hand, she entered the palace, and without Liam and Emily to focus on was immediately taken by the rich décor of the huge front hall, which separated into four passages before and beside her. Tall paintings, stone busts, ornate furnishings and a heavy red rug leading up the wide staircase. On the high landing it split in two, one staircase reaching up left, the other right.

“Allow me,” the older man said when the door was closed. He held out a hand for the large bag, which she handed to him with a timid thank you.

Gesturing for her to follow, the older man started up the staircase. Relieved to focus on something other than the elegance of the palace, Cassie climbed the stairs with three boxes in hand, careful to keep them flat and so she focused on her steps. They took the left stair and wove through enough beautiful halls for Cassie to be certain she would not find her way back unaided.

The older man didn’t seem to be very talkative, and Cassie was more concerned with her intention than conversation, so was happy to let him maintain that silence. She registered light footsteps approaching and was grinning well before Emily sped into view.

“Cassie!” she called before she pulled up in front of her.

“Hey, Emily.” She smiled, but Emily’s attention was already on the boxes. “Hungry?”

Emily nodded enthusiastically. “You brought dinner?”

“I absolutely did.” She started forward again, glancing at the older man, who couldn’t suppress a smile at the excitement of the nine year old. Emily led them along the halls until Liam came into sight. He leant against the frame of an open door, arms folded over his chest with a small, tired smile.

“You can move now, dad!” Emily grinned, bouncing around them, then passing her father through the open door.

“Thanks, Panda.” Liam straightened. “It’s good to see you,” he said to Cassie, retrieving the bag from the other man before dismissing him. His voice was completely altered from the conference that morning. More natural, no strain.

“I hope you like pizza and ice cream,” Cassie said, lifting the boxes. Liam smiled, raising his free hand for her to enter before him.

This room was not so overtly grand, but even in its warmth couldn’t disguise the elegant fittings or rich furnishings. Emily was already pushing piles of things aside on a low table before a long couch.

“We were doing a puzzle,” she announced as Liam closed the door. “Dad is terrible at puzzles. Can you help?”

“Of course.” Cassie set down the boxes as Liam put down the cooler bag. “Do you have a fridge for that?” She nodded to the bag.

“We do.” Liam nodded, and left the room to one beside the large TV, emerging a minute later with plates and napkins for the three of them and a smirk.

“So sophisticated,” Cassie said, grinning. Liam shook his head as he joined them. Emily already had a huge slice in her hands, mouth full of pizza and sauce on her face.

“Comes with the territory.” His eyes fell on Emily, who was pointedly not looking at him, and he added, “most of the time.” Cassie laughed, then slid the open box toward him.

After a short discussion between Liam and Emily, a movie was chosen, and they fell back on the couch to watch it. Liam turned to Cassie as Emily’s attention was absorbed by the TV and food.

“Thank you,” he said gently. Not wanting to send the wrong message, despite their proximity, Cassie refrained from any contact in response, instead nodding.

“Any opportunity for pizza and a movie.”

Liam’s eyes crinkled as he glanced at Emily, engrossed by the animated movie. He sighed. “I’m still grateful.”

“I know.”

The three of them fell into a comfortable silence, enjoying the movie, with Liam and Cassie exchanging the occasional smirk at the jokes written for adults. This was easy, Cassie reflected, even relaxing, and it didn’t take long to quiet the awe at her surroundings.

When the movie ended and the puzzle was half done, Emily started drifting off, and Liam encouraged her to go to bed, leaving several minutes later to say good night. Cassie piled the empty ice cream bowls and remaining pizza out of the way and curled up on the couch, closing her eyes and way too comfortable to move.

“I thought she would be up all night,” Cassie said when she heard Liam coming back. She opened her eyes when he collapsed on the couch as well.

“Hit a wall.” He smiled, and the room was quiet again. After a while, Liam spoke again.

“Thank you for coming tonight,” he said. “I really needed this.”

“That was clear enough from the TV.” Cassie turned her body to face him. “That question caught you off-guard.”

“Not off-guard, exactly.” Liam pressed his palms briefly against his eyes. “It’s not the first time, but it never gets easier. I don’t have much control over what they speculate on, but this was the one thing I hoped to…” He sighed. “It’s not fair on her. As for the rest of it…”

His expression darkened, but he didn’t continue, and Cassie’s curiosity won out. “The rest of it?”

“I had a difficult choice to make,” he paused, then the tension released. “But I found another option. It’s dealt with.”

“Good.” Cassie answered, hoping that was the correct response. She hugged herself tighter. “I wished there was something I could do to help.” As fruitless as it was to try control the media.

Liam turned to her. “Cassie, you are already doing so much. This…” he gestured to the low table, with the remnants of their dinner. “This is perfect.”

“Whenever I was a kid, and I was upset or hurt myself,” Cassie explained, “my mother would bring pizza and ice cream, and we’d watch a movie together. It worked every time.”

“That’s a good tradition.” Liam folded his arms across his chest and stared at the ceiling. “Does she live in the capital?”

“In Portavira. Where I’m from.” Cassie felt herself drifting off, and blinked back. “So you’re going to Spain next week?”

“For a few days, yes. If it was much longer I probably would have asked Emily if she wanted to come, but as it is I’ll have a full schedule and wouldn’t have much time free.”

Cassie bit her lip, wondering whether they were close enough for this, then asked anyway. “Did you want me to keep her company?”

Liam frowned, focusing on Cassie again. “Would you mind? Just for a while during the days. She loves spending time with you.”

Cassie beamed. “I would love to. I can bring her to my studio, and show her a few more things than those easels we used the other day.”

Liam reached out and squeezed her hand. “Thank you.”

A little taken aback by the contact, but not discomforted, Cassie only smiled, and drew back after a moment. If Liam suspected it was a wrong move, he didn’t show it.

The two talked for a while after that, about nothing profound, and eventually Cassie departed, with a plan for the following week and a shot of coffee to keep her alert on the drive home

“Alright, Em. Show me what you’ve got.”

Cassie sat cross-legged on the floor of her studio apartment, drenched in the sunlight that flowed through the window. Beside her was a limerick and two rough verses quickly written on lined paper. Emily sat in front of her, similarly in the light. She knelt, frowning, pencil between her teeth as she stared at the lined page she held. They had been sitting with the exercise for about half an hour, after talking about limericks over lunch when Emily arrived.

“I don’t think I like it.” Emily glanced from her poem to Cassie’s. “It doesn’t rhyme properly.”

“Every word you write is practise. You’ve improved your writing by writing that poem. That means it can’t be bad.” Cassie grinned, then softened. “You don’t have to, but would you like to show me?”

Emily seemed to deliberate for a moment, then handed it over. She sat back and pulled her knees to her chest as she waited for Cassie’s response.

“Thank you,” Cassie smiled, then turned her attention to the page, keenly aware of Emily’s focus on her, and read the words:

There wasn’t much things in the room I can’t see outside or the moon I think I saw mom She was crying then And she never came back from the room

Cassie looked up at the young girl, who seemed to be trying to make herself as small as possible, and met her frightened, tear filled eyes. For a moment she couldn’t think of what to say. A lump rose in her throat, but there was a vulnerable child in front of her, who needed her. Her own reaction could wait.

“Is this…” Cassie cleared her throat. “Emily, is this one of your memories?”

Emily didn’t confirm it, but didn’t deny it either. Cassie put down the poem and moved onto her knees, reaching her arms forward.

“Come here, Em.” She smiled, swallowing the lump. After some hesitation, Emily rocked forward and approached her, and Cassie wrapped her arms around her. For a while she just rubbed the girl’s back gently, holding her securely and drawing in long, even breaths. Emily’s small hands balled the fabric at the back of Cassie’s shirt.

“That was very brave,” she said softly, stroking Emily’s hair. “Showing me your poem. You’re very brave.”

Still the girl said nothing, but Cassie registered the growing dampness on her shirt where Emily’s face pressed against her chest.

“Please don’t tell dad.” The girl whispered. Cassie frowned.

“Are you sure? He would want to know.”

Emily shook her head. “He’s too busy, and he gets sad when he remembers.”

One Year Ago

Cassie threw her bag on the back seat and slammed the door, jumping into the front passenger seat a second later and dramatically putting on her sunglasses.

“Gods Cass, is driving really that terrible?”

“Pfft,” Cassie turned to Lucy and shrugged, lowering her sunglasses to peer over the top of them. “If it was terrible, I probably wouldn’t have got us all the way to Portavira and half the way back.”

Lucy rolled her eyes, smirking and strapping herself in on the drivers seat. “Fair enough. Would the lady like to decide on the soundtrack?”

“Oh generous one, I would be honoured.” Cassie fiddled with the radio and turned the volume dial up as Lucy pointedly checked the mirrors and adjusted the seat, then pulled out of the small car park alongside the spectacular ocean view and started back toward the city.

“Can’t fault your choice,” Lucy said as she moved her shoulders in time with the music.

They chatted and sung most of the journey back to the capital. Cassie expressed her excitement at the full sketchbook in her pack, and Lucy teased her about extending their journey over an hour to draw a tree.

It was peak traffic when they got back to the city, and the journey had been long enough that their conversation wasn’t so lively. The music had been turned down, the trees had thinned, and the buildings rose around them. Cassandra sighed, closing her eyes as they reached an intersection, just too late to squeeze across before the red light.

“Gonna have energy to come out tomorrow night?” Lucy asked as they pulled up.

“You know I—”

A screech of braking tyres cut her off and the car jerked forward. The dash flew at her, Cassie’s seatbelt strained, and they were no longer behind the light

When you were younger, did your mother or father ever let you open a few presents before Christmas or your birthday even arrived?  We open all our presents the night of Christmas Eve to begin with; but no, they don’t tease by letting us open a few of them before our usual schedule.

If you could receive a 100 dollar gift card for either blouses, pants, dresses, shoes or purses, which would you chose?  If I could change blouses to shirts, then I would go with that because I’ve recently gotten into t-shirts and sweatshirts and no longer the trendy and preppy tops I used to like haha. But if not, I would go for shoes.

What is your favorite thing to do after crying? Ex: Sleep, listen to music, have some alone time, talk to someone, etc?  It varies as it depends on how much I cried. The harder I cried the more I’d want to sleep it off, because it can actually get pretty exhausting. Sometimes I’ll reach out, sometimes I write. It’s really different every time, but at the end I’m just glad I can no longer even remember the last time I cried out of sadness.

Do you think Trump will be assassinated, or will he survive his term?  Well we know the answer to this. It’s satisfying to notice him disappear off the face of the Earth immediately after his term, though. I don’t have a clue what he’s up to now.

Last time you felt suicidal?  For some reason I felt down last Thursday and I felt the slightest, slightest tinge of suicidal thoughts. No idea where it came from.

Last time you had butterflies?  Ugh idk but it was probably BTS-related hahahahahahah

Did you ever leave someone because you know you’d hurt them?  No, I was on the opposite side of the coin for this one. I was broken up with because they believed they would hurt me, if not already doing so.

Ever witnessed a murder?  Hmm, not that I can recall. I do remember having to monitor crime stories for one of my very first journalism assignments and the one time I didn’t tag along to the fieldwork with my classmates, they got to witness a stabbing incident :/ By itself of course it always sucks to have violent situations like those, but as a reporter it would’ve been interesting to see the scene and its aftermath.

Have you ever lied under oath?  I don’t think so, no. I can’t even remember the last time I was put under oath.

Have you ever failed a subject before? I’ve failed exams but never an entire class.

Have you ever had a deadly animal as a pet?  No.

Have you ever kissed someone of the same gender?  Well yeah, I dated one.

Have you ever been to a movie that sold out?  I’ve never experienced trying to buy tickets only to find out they’re all sold out, but that’s also probably because we have hundreds of malls in Manila alone and you can always find a theatre that are still offering tickets.

What movie last made you too scared to go to sleep?  I’m not usually that way with horror movies, but I do remember running into a jumpscare on TikTok while I was scrolling at 3 AM. Not fun.

When you’re on a laptop, do you hook up a mouse or use the touchpad?  Touchpad. I never use a mouse.

Would it be hard seeing someone else kiss the person you like?  I’m not interested in anyone so this shouldn’t be a problem.

Have you ever been tempted to steal?  Sure, but the urge is never so strong.

Do you have a favorite local band? Who are they? Nah. I did have a Ben&Ben phase, though I haven’t revisited their music in a long time.

Who’s the last person you saw naked, aside from yourself?  I’m not sure about completely naked, probably still my ex. As for partially naked, my dad sometimes goes shirtless at home as most Filipino dads do lol.

Who’s your favorite horror monster/killer?  The most iconic for me would be that porcupine looking ass from Resident Evil 4, I believe it was meant to be for one of the boss stages or something. Anyway, it’s memorable for me just because that fucker had been impossible to defeat and I loved watching my older cousin do attempt after attempt. I don’t think he ever got to beat him and by the time he did us cousins were already adults, lol.

On a side note, we called him ‘Porcupine’ as kids since a shitload of spikes would stick out of him unpredictably during the boss stage, and I thought that nickname had been just our thing; but I’m actually surprised that that villain actually comes up when you do a simple ‘Resident Evil 4 porcupine’ search haha. I guess other people called him the same thing too.

What kind of music do you prefer to listen to when driving?  I usually put on a playlist of BTS’ rapline; I tend to enjoy high-energy songs while driving.

Would you ever own a hairless rat, cat or dog?  I don’t see why I wouldn’t when it comes to the dog. I don’t want a cat or rat.

What did you and your ex fight about most?  It was about the deeper, more profound stuff. We never saw eye to eye about the future, if we were helping the other grow, etc. Someone was always scared or insecure about something that the other could never help with fixing.

Don’t you love long hugs?  Sure, I love getting hugs as long as I’m comfy around the one giving it.

And long kisses?  Mhm, they’re nice.

Have you ever purchased condoms?  Only for Angela when she had still been too shy to ask for it herself. 

Have you ever gone on vacation with your boyfriend/girlfriend?  No. We had gone out of town for daytrips, but never for a fully-decked out vacation.

Have you ever trashed your ex’s car after an argument?  I wouldn’t do anything that loud. My resentment’s a lot more reserved and subtle, definitely on the passive-aggressive side.

Would you leave a note on a car claiming responsibility if you damaged it?  If I left like a paint scratch, no. If I was somehow stupid enough to manage wrecking the car then yes.

Have you ever used someone's handicapped parking pass to get a parking spot?  Oh that’s just gross. No. I do remember unknowingly parking over a spot meant for the handicapped once just because the paint was so fucking faded. It was genuinely so hard to tell but in the end I ended up just getting out of the spot and looked for another just to be on the safe, unassholey side.

Are you embarrassed to tell people your job?  Not at all! I love telling people I work in PR and sharing the brands I work with...it’s just a bitch trying to explain what exactly it is I do on a normal day. I’m still blanking out on it now that I’m thinking about it, haha. PR’s a challenge to summarize in one or two sentences.

If you ran over an animal would you keep driving?  I honestly have no clue how I’d deal with it. Ideally I would pull over and help bring it to the side of the road, and try to ask for help from passersby as well. I’m still not sure what I should/would do next.

Where’s the best place to eat a romantic dinner?  French, Spanish, and Italian restaurants always seem to carry a pleasant, date-y atmosphere to them, so any of those cuisines should be ok. I also like quieter restaurants with warm yellow lighting, since that makes me feel at home the most. The place definitely doesn't have to be super popular; I would just want for it to serve good food.

What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?  Flying planes.

What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?  Probably something that’s booked with thrill-seeking adventures? Like a day of wakeboarding, paragliding, skydiving, riding an ATV...I would be exhausted as fuck and sleep for the next three days, but I can’t even begin to imagine how fun it would be.

When people come to you for help, what do they usually want help with? Writing stuff. < Yeah, essentially. My friends ask me for general life advice too.

Has anybody criticized the way your significant other looked like?  Yeah. But I always defended her.

Have you written or drawn anything for somebody else?  I mean I’ve written long letters, but I haven’t made a poem or song for anyone.

Who has impressed you most with what they’ve accomplished?  These days it would probably be Arlan. He just finished his Masters in Journalism at Columbia and I couldn’t be more proud. I remember wanting to attend Columbia too, but seeing how my love of journalism turned out...I’ve long accepted the fact that that route was not meant for me, hahaha.

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?  Finish a painting, which can also serve as a callout to me lol.

What would you rate 10/10?  Seafood.

What do you hope never changes?  My relationships with my best friends.

Would you ever have sex with the last person you texted?  No, I barely have a clue who she is and she seemed decades older when she called me up this morning.

When did you last cry? What for?  Two Saturdays ago. The one-year mark of my breakup had been coming up and an overwhelming wave of emotions just flooded me all of a sudden, I guess. There was happiness and relief from not being stuck in it anymore; feeling sorry for myself as I remembered the turmoil and deterioration I went through in the latter part the year; anger for the shit she pulled; and there was also just the general feeling of being grateful that I’m still here after everything.

Do you think you’re wasting your time on the person you love? 

When’s the next time you’ll kiss someone?  No clue. I’m not holding my breath for it and that’s okay.

Were you ever scared to death of anyone you knew? Or are you currently?  Yeah, unfortunately I’ve always been surrounded by at least one person who terrifies me.

What’s the longest you’ve been away from home by yourself?  Nothing more than a day. That’s something I have yet to try out.

Have you ever been made fun of, because of what you look like?  Athenna was relentless in her insults. I dunno why I was friends her for as long as I was.

Have you ever made fun of others, because of what they look like?  If they’re some random person on the internet with disgusting political views, then yeah; but it’s just thoughts I keep in my head and I never verbalized the bullying. But not anyone in real life. Do you think it’s cute when you’re leaving a place, and a guy says “no hug?”  If I’m friends with the person I’ll banter with them for a bit until I give in for a hug. If it was any other guy I barely know...I would be disgusted and throw them the dirtiest glare.

Do you wear short shorts (if you’re a girl)? I didn't know short shorts were specific to females. < LOL same. Anyway no, not these days. I used to but they’re not really a part of my personal style anymore.

Who are you the most uncomfortable around?  Relatives with the wrong political views.

Should cloning ever be allowed to happen?  I don’t see the point. No.

Are you impatient with really shy people? If it gets to the point that they seem aloof and radiate very I-could-not-care-less-about-getting-along-with-any-of-you vibes, then yeah I feel like I would get irritated pretty fast. But I was an extremely shy person once too, so I’m typically friendly with them and I would usually be That person who constantly stays next to them so they feel like they belong.

Does your house have air conditioning throughout, or do you have one that sits in your window?  It sits in the window, as with most households here.

What is the most ridiculous band name you’ve heard recently?  I haven’t encountered anything wacky recently.

Tsukista TV S2E2 Summary Notes

Episode 2 focuses on Six Gravity’s nenchuu, Jounin Tatsuki and Takenaka Ryohei~

(See my Episode 1 post about notation format if you get confused with how I write these summaries)

Read the summary below the cut!

This time, Kentaro [Hajime] has Tatsuki [Aoi] give the Tsukista explanation. He begins the same as Gaku [Haru] did in the previous episode, but messes up in the middle:

Ryuu [Kakeru] yells “CUT!” and slaps his hands together like a director’s clapboard. Tatsuki’s like ‘give me one more chance!’ and Ryuu’s waving his finger at him lol. Then Ryuu says under his breath to Lui [Koi] “Just say ‘This is Tsukista,’ that would suffice” www.

Ryohei’s like ‘here’s my Top 3’ and Kentaro says “Top 3? Ryohei, how many things do you have listed there??” to which Ryohei replies, “Well, I couldn’t choose.” And yes, that (lol) in the list is actually on the signboard..

Tatsuki says these are his Top 3 favorite games. Lui notes that it says “series” on his list, so he asks which particular game in the series Tatsuki likes best but he just replies “all of them” lol.

Tatsuki: “Have you guys played any Final Fantasy games?”

Lui says he has. Kentaro’s like “Actually, I haven’t. I haven’t played Dissidia (for the PSP) either.”

Tatsuki: “Have you played Final Fantasy VII?” [it’s considered one of the best FF games and jrpgs of all time]

Kentaro says he hasn’t, but he wants to play it. He’s seen clips of the movie, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, on YouTube.

Lui says he likes FFIV.

Tatsuki: “I like FFIX, the protagonist was named Zidane. It was really fun.” Tatsuki asks Gaku if he’s played any, and Gaku says he played FFVII: Crisis Core. He really likes the protag’s story in that one. Ryuu says he hasn’t played any. Kentaro jumps in again and says ‘there’s too many games in the series, so it’s hard to start from this point.’

For Tatsuki’s #2, he asks if they’ve heard of Chrono Trigger before.Lui says he likes that game. Tatsuki explains that it was made jointly by the company behind Final Fantasy and the company behind Dragon Quest for the Super Nintendo. There’s various different endings you can get for that game. He says that since that game came out before smartphones, it was hard to look up guides to complete the game since it was a tough game.  Lui says Chrono Trigger’s soundtrack is amazing and Tatsuki lit up so much and was like ‘yessss!!’  

Ryohei jumps a little when Tatsuki starts shouting and fanboying

Kentaro leans over to Gaku and with a ‘look how excited he is’ point lol. Tatsuki gives his signboard a dramatic ‘slap’ and says “It’s amazing.”

For Tatsuki’s #1, he explains a bit about Kingdom Hearts. It mixes Disney characters with Final Fantasy characters. “It’s SUPER fun.”

“PSA: Kingdom Hearts III comes out next year, please play it.”

(Kingdom Hearts is so good y’all, I fully approve of Tatsuki’s message lol) They talk about how long it’s taken for the third main-line installment to come out. *cough*13yrs*cough*

Next, they discuss Ryohei’s Top 3, which lists his top 3 favorite novels. He says he “wants to show a new side of himself.” For his #3 where he lists “school recommendations,” he lists some book themes he’s come across like ‘reality is not real’ and  ‘inequality of the rich and poor.’ (He also says something philosophical about learning that I didn’t catch that well)

For Ryohei’s #2, he firsts talks about the novel Ryouma ga Yuku which is about a samurai, Sakamoto Ryouma, that’s the same age as he is currently. Ryuu chimes in and says the way Ryouma lives his live is really cool. Ryohei says compared to nowadays, people living in those times of the Meiji Era could not live freely. He thinks the protagonist of the novel is cool for being a free spirit.

For #1, Ryohei talks about 17-sai no POKKETO (“17 year-old Pocket”). Ryuu tries to make a jab at the “pocket” containing dreams or something, but Ryohei flat out ignores the joke and Kentaro’s like ‘damn, ignored’ lol. Ryohei says he was a second year in high school when he read it. The author, Yamada Kamachi, wrote poems and drew watercolor paintings for the collection. Ryuu asks if the collection become a sort of inspirational bible for Ryohei, to which he replies ‘sort of.’ Tatsuki says they each showed a different hobby of theirs - Tatsuki with video games and Ryohei with reading.

Then they tease the activity that the two of them went to do, saying it involves animals.

They’re at the Tobu Zoo in Saitama Prefecture~ Tatsuki says he wanted to be a zoo keeper once lol. Like with Lui and Ryuu, they have 50,000円 (~$500) to spend.

The handing-off of the cash

The first animal they see are white tigers. They joke around saying ‘do you think we can buy it with the $500’ ww. They call it both “cool” and “cute” as it takes a nap. Tatsuki: “I can see why they’re in the same animal family as cats.” He also mentions he’s allergic to cats…

The two of them get the chance to interact with some penguins and feed them. They get to the penguin area and are in love with the cute penguins. Tatsuki is worried that it’ll hurt if a penguin bites them lol. They take small buckets of mackerel to feed the penguins~ They throw some into the water where some are swimming, and Ryohei also reaches out to one and feed it by hand.

(He makes a really funny laugh after he does this lmao)

After they’re done giving out all of their fish, Tatsuki says ‘they’re so cute, I want more fish’ ww. Next, they go to a seal show area. Tatsuki calls it “Tama-chan” (not sure what it’s a reference to or if he just made that up) The seal’s actual name is Moon-chan. They pet the seal and Tatsuki is surprised to find that it’s slippery feeling.

Tatsuki bends down for a kiss as well, but it ignores him for a bit. Ryohei’s like ‘maybe it doesn’t like you’ lol. He got a kiss in the end though when they posed for a picture:

Next, they go to the gift shop to buy a souvenir. They go on a spree throughout the whole store and going through all the items. They compare what they each picked and asked a worker which item they prefer, and Tatsuki’s white tiger in a pink stuffed purse wins. Ryohei wears this around for the rest of the day lol. Next they use some more money to get pony-riding tickets. The 19 year old pony is named Chicchi-chan.

Then they go to another gift shop to buy presents for the raffle. They buy baskets full of food souvenirs and other stuff, trying to use all the money but it only comes out to about 32,000円 in the end so they have some cash left over (which the pink purse Ryohei’s been wearing).

At the end, the filming staff asks them how they enjoyed the day. They said it was really fun, and it was the first time they got to do a lot of stuff. They’re both stuck up on the super cute seal lol. They reveal what gifts they got for the raffle: one “small animal set” from each of them and one joint gift which is the pink white tiger purse they had been using that day.

The next episode will be the last for Six Gravity and will focus on the kuro nenchou~

I’m really cold right now. I cleaned my room earlier today. My favorite cereal is Apple Jacks. I can see out the window from where I’m sitting. I’m a senior in high school. I hate fast food burgers. I take my showers at night. The last color I dyed my hair was black. I still sleep with a stuffed animal. I have a piece of jewelry that means a lot to me. I changed the calendar to February today. I woke up before 12:00 noon today. I’m on a laptop right now. The walls in my living room are white. I’m more afraid of snakes than spiders.

I take a vitamin every day. Ice cream is my favorite dessert. I have a bad habit of biting my nails. I have my hair in a ponytail the majority of the time. I like to read mystery books. There’s nothing playing on the TV right now. But I am listening to music. My favorite animal is something domestic. I have broken a bone before. I am a fairly decent cook. I can’t cook, but I love to bake. Sometimes I get jealous of my best friend. The website I’m on most often is Facebook. I took a picture of myself today. I have taken part in a Walk For Hunger. I used to be a girl scout. I am wearing something red right now. I usually go to bed sometime after midnight. I wish I could stay my current age forever. I have never had a boyfriend. I have been a member of my school’s marching band. I play the flute. I enjoy being under the water more than on top of it in a swimming pool. I really want to buy a new cell phone. I have read at least one Stephen King book. I sing in the shower if/when other people are home. I do not like skinny jeans. My favorite fruit is strawberries. I finished a book this week. I like musicals. I have naturally curly hair. My nails are painted purple. I’ve seen the movie Blades of Glory. I love to play video games. I play solitaire on my computer when I get bored. I don’t live in the United States. I have a picture of my boyfriend in my room. My walls are covered with posters. I’d rather listen to CDs in the car than the radio. I’ve read the book 1984. I love oreo cookies. The Notebook made me cry. I’m going to eat dinner soon. I’ve been sleeping a lot lately. I never get sleep anymore. I have a couple papers that I have to write. I hate pimples by my nose. (Literally who likes pimples) Cats are so cute. My arms having been falling asleep a lot today. I think I’m getting sick. I have a song stuck in my head right now. It’s by a band that a lot of people don’t know about. My pet’s fur is EVERWHERE. I seem to feel hungry all the time. I seem to always feel tired. I really like art. I hope to be successful in my future career. I love white grape juice. I tend to dance and sing obnoxiously in the car. I like to freak people out. I actually like watching the Olympics (both Summer and Winter). I’d rather take the stairs than the elevator. Unless I have to go up to like the 15th floor. I don’t charge my phone every day. I’m moving within the next few months or so. ^I’ll be around the same area though. The Golden Girls ALWAYS makes me laugh. Reese’s Eggs taste better than regular Reese’s. I hate touching public doors, bathrooms, etc. I’m older than 20. I feel old compared to all my friends. I could spend a whole day in a bookstore. I am going to the movies tomorrow. I’m waiting for a band’s CD to come out. I’ve never broken a bone. I’m not embarrassed about ANY music in my iTunes. I don’t have a boyfriend, and honestly, couldn’t care less about having one. I’d rather watch TV on DVD than repeats. (What) I don’t really have any friends anymore. I get migraines all the time. It sucks. I would NEVER want to be a doctor. But I like the medical dramas. I really want to lose at least 20 lbs. I love walking in the woods. My pet goes nuts a lot. I’m bored over 90% of the time. The Beatles take up most of my iTunes. I love listening to music I listened to growing up. It seems like no one ever listens to me the first time I say something. I hate when I get an eyelash (or whatever) in my eye. I wear glasses. I have more than 2000 Tweets on Twitter. There is a certain genre(s) that I cannot stand. I hate most of the bands/artists played on the radio. I have Sirius/XM Radio in my car. I plan on buying a new release DVD this week. I never go to bed as early as I should.

We have sharing interest dates; where Kuja teaches me how to play the violin, and I teach Kuja how to paint! <3 It’s a nice change of pace in contrast to our more extravagant lifestyle :)

3) Do you have matching outfits?

We will never be seen together without having at least matching colors! We do have quite a few outfits that match, most of which we wear for formal events <3 (I am actually planning on creating a series of Kuja outfits to kind of build a wardrobe for him, so look forward to that! <333)

4) Do you have a bookshelf at home? What’s in it?

We have an entire room dedicated to be a library; it’s filled with all different kinds of books about history, fashion, plants, romance, etc. We also store our board games in one of our bookshelves, and one of them is specifically dedicated to Kuja’s small statues! <3

5) How does your f/o get along with your friends? How do you get along with their friends?

Kuja gets along okay with my friends, even if he does piss them off quite a lot! We actually play D&D with my friends! <3 I’m the DM and Kuja plays a healing based bard <3 He’s really good at the role-playing part, but a little slow at all the numbers and combat, which tends to annoy my more experienced friends?

Kuja doesn’t really have friends??? Wow that sounds mean. I do get along pretty well with Zidane! Garnet and Kuja have decided that the two of us get along a little too well

6) Is there an animal you or your f/o relate to?

Reptiles! They are solitary, nocturnal, and generally ‘lazy’. We enjoy spending days in bed with nice food and each others company. It doesn’t help that we actually own 4 reptiles!

7) Does your f/o collect anything?

My darling collects jewelry, artwork, statues, and other interesting trinkets! Our house could be a museum would it be a little bit more organized <3

8) How many pictures do you have of each other? Of both of you?

We have a lot of portraits made of us! Outside of that, Kuja had a lot of portraits made of him before we got together, and add to that all the portraits I make of him; and we could fill up an entire room of Kuja artwork! <3 I myself am a little more shy, so I don’t have any of just myself. (outside of the one Kuja got commissioned to keep in his wallet)

9) How does your f/o text? (With a lot of emojis, monotone, perfect grammar, etc)

Kuja writes with proper grammar (he doesn’t even shorten words like ‘Don’t’). I’d imagine he would use emoji’s sparingly, and usually just use ones like the rose or hearts.

In a modern AU, I’d say yes; for sure! <3

11) Do you stay at home or go out more?

We go out a lot! Almost every day, actually. We often go on walks, or go see plays, orchestra’s, and other similar activities. We also visit art galleries, museum’s and auction houses. We are usually on the move, and while we do enjoy spending time at home, Kuja likes to be seen.

12) Does your f/o write?

He does! He writes a lot of poems, and stories. Most of the words coming out of his mouth are quotes of different works he admires; very theatrical!

I like to consider the idea of getting a PhD. It scares me to make commitments regarding my future. Comparing myself to others is the #1 thing that makes me feel upset. I get really annoying and chatty when I’m scared. I enjoy memorizing things, be it poems, sequences of numbers, or whatever. After it storms, it interests me to drive around and see all the downed trees and damage. I imagine that ordinary things are magical and it makes life more fun. Sometimes I say things in a stupid accent for no reason. I love playing and usually win at trivia games. I am eagerly anticipating receiving something in the mail. I usually feel shitty after scrolling through my Facebook Newsfeed. Sometimes after hearing a song in a movie scene, I gain a whole new appreciation for the song. I don’t like it when rooms have walls that are not all the same color. I hate when there’s a cute guy around and I want him to talk to me but he doesn’t. I enjoy cleaning out and organizing my iTunes. I prefer sociology over psychology. I would describe myself as quite quiet but friendly. I tend to have dreams where I’m intensely angry more often than I have dreams where I am scared. I am terrified to ever have to write a college thesis. Clothes rarely fit me right off the rack. It’s discouraging and annoying. I will defend the things I love TO THE GRAVE. I have played the game Skylanders and it’s absolutely adorable and fun. As cheesy as it sounds, looking into the mirror and saying positive things really helps my self-esteem. It’s easy for my imagination to get going and I spook myself easily. It bothers me a bit when celebrities get to write and publish novels. Bad writing inspires me to write most, because I think, “if people enjoy THAT, they’ll definitely enjoy what I can write.” I really never want to get pregnant. I have tried almond milk, rice milk, and soy milk. Something that bothers me more than when someone says something offensive, is when someone else defends the offensive statement. I never wanted to be a princess when I was little. I adore old houses, especially if they’re “haunted.” I’m terribly embarrassed of my past self. I love the taste of garlic in food, but garlic breath grosses me out so much. I really enjoy old horror movies. I keep on remembering songs I haven’t listened to in years because of Songpop. ^ which is the first Facebook game I have ever enjoyed… Mikhail Baryshnikov is one of my idols. English is not my first language, but usually people can’t tell immediately. I have a secret notebook which no one even knows exists and I would rather die than have anyone read it. My current roommates are the best I’ve had so far. Good posture really attracts me in someone of my preferred gender. ^ as do strong, maintained eyebrows. I can’t really function with an Apple computer, lack of experience with those. I don’t feel emotions the way ”normal” people do. I don’t own a soft wallet, mine is plastic. I tend to date men with power positions when it comes to their jobs. No matter how hard I try, I seem to be unable to whistle. Good manners are quite important to me. I was once very involved in a certain sport. I actually really enjoy cleaning my ears. hahahaha. I refuse to eat ketchup on anything. I often sigh really loudly by accident. I much prefer the colder seasons to summer. When I feel extra fancy, I fishtail my hair. It is incidentally the fanciest thing I can do with it. I am a master at getting along with people when I try, because I am very good at figuring out how they want me to react and what they expect me to say, and if I don’t care about them and can’t be bothered to interact properly, I go into that mode. I refuse to mow the grass, for some reason it terrifies me. I get pretty bad season allergies. I don’t eat pork. My blood type is O positive. I have ghostly pale skin. Singlespeed bikes are my favourite. I have never used shaving cream in my entire life. I never saw any repercussions. I feel most people I have met in my life would do better if they toughened up. I have a bigger problem with people who think that feminism has anything to do with hating or belittling men than with people who don’t identify to the feminist movement. I have struggled with drug use in the past. I have never used a credit card. This year, I will vote for something on a national level. There is absolutely no carpet in my flat. I am unable to write in print, I actually have to stop and remember not to write in cursive after every letter.
