Midnights thoughts about Cale's death
What would happen after Cale's death?? Would the world be destroyed by Raon? Where would the ancient powers go? I supposed that would be in his most beloved things, but exactly where? And would the same happen with his abilities as Record or Instant? Would Alberu or any other dark elf absorb Cale's dead mana? What about his grave? Or would his body become part of the nature as dragons do?
I'm having a crisis here

How TCF Deities are Simps for the "Hard to Get"
It's hilarious how the gods in TCF certainly seem to have a liking towards people who absolutely despise them:
(In Ancient Times) God of War: (sets a slave free) There you go, you're free now Sky Eating Water: Neat, thanks God of War: Now go and be a judge for me Sky Eating Water: (runs away)
Cage: That God of Death, he's so annoying!! God of Death: I wish she was my saint… 😢 Cale, would you-? Cale: N O . God of Death: Well, at least I still have Choi Jung Gun working for m- Choi Jung Gun: (beats him up with a broom)
God of Despair: (drug dealer style) Hey kid, wanna become a member of the demonic race?? Cale: No, you crazy psycho!!! God of Despair: Cute. Here, have a test to change your mind White Star: W-wait, I thought I was your- God of Despair: Heh, no! That Cale is clearly superior in every way White Star:😨
Alberu: (His entire life) I hate the Sun God church so much… Discriminating against my race, it's their fault my mother's people can't live in peace and my entire bloodline is cursed- Angelina: Cursed you say? No problem! Here, have this cool gun instead

AU - Og!cale is Baron Thames Interlude
Something I wrote to keep some parts out of the Part 2 of this AU and out of the Secret Society AU. Not much but please enjoy!
Interlude: paper
Zedd Crossman lives for another day of receiving paperwork from the people that annoy him the most. These people include Count Deruth who pesters him with countless petitions that he will never approve, letters from nobles trying to sweet talk him to subdue the said Count (and what? Political suicide?), reports from spies in Hentiuse, Thames, and even his household, reports from Alberu, and letters from Cale. Instead of attending to the said paperwork, the king tries to imagine that if Cale or Alberu had been a woman, he would have been more than happy to plan a grand wedding instead of tending to tedious paperwork. For now, he is content with the friendship between his firstborn (to whom he is trying to redeem himself) and the child of the only true friend he ever had.
----------------------------
Ron Molan considers himself a very patient man. After escaping ARM as a former noble and being reduced to working as a butler for many years, he could say his patience has grown with his age. Patience had been his virtue when raising his son and a child he never thought he could love as well as his own. However, Ron Molan in the Thames barony is currently running out of patience with his former employer, Count Henituse. After escorting his young charge with his son and the installment of the Thames Barony, the said Count has been persistent in sending ‘letters’ to his now-estranged offspring as a last-ditch attempt to communicate. The Baron was once interested in these ‘letters’ until he found out that the majority of the contents were about the Count's new family – something the former doesn't want to read or hear. Ron never thinks of his charge as an angry child (despite the red hair) but he could dangle that carrot to the Count and give him some false hope for the trouble he is causing them. Ron is a patient man and he would be more than happy to trap the Count for a considerable time if it means peace of mind to the son of his heart.
--------------------------------
Cale Thames (formerly Henituse) has been dealing with paperwork ever since he was a child. His position in life required him to be exposed to the nature and task of paperwork at a young age. Being the heir presumptive of the territory, he was taught to deal with stacks of paper,  whether of lessons and notes to be a future Count Henituse or documents that carry decisions. Cale doesn’t mind paperwork as his first interaction was with his mother doing her share of the damnable task. It became a bonding experience for them – she wrote away while he throw her his ‘silly’ questions. After her death and his father's disappearance, the simple thin paper carried a lot more weight than it should- with him reading stacks for days and weeks without fail and affixing his small signature that carries the weak authority he has to stabilize the only home he has ever known. Upon his father's return, he cursed the certificate that proclaimed his father as husband to a strange woman and by marriage, father to an unknown boy. He wanted to rip it – that stupid symbol that cements his fathers’ happiness that he cannot give. But paperwork does have its way to give him what he wants. As he signs the paper that would proclaim him Baron Thames, he wishes in all of his small might, that this paper will also give him the happiness and freedom he lost and wanted to come back.

WS and OG!Cale sibling AU
Older WS and Younger OG!Cale
3 to 5 years age gaps
When WS is cursed, Cale also affected
But they are immune to each other's curse
So, while everyone they love eventually died snd leaving them, they still have each other
The reincarnation circle (I'm not sure how it work so most part is just another AU) between them are different
WS, rather than reborn he, is possessing someone's body randomly
While Cale, also rather than reborn he, is regressing into three years old body of his but still with his memories intact
They love each other and try their best to maintaining their live as best as it can be
But unfortunately, Despair influence on WS get stronger over time
And then we have TBOAH timeline
How Cale become Henituse you ask?
After WS became worse, Cale started to think that maybe the only way to protect and stop his brother is not by staying by his side
So in his next regression, he leave and found by Jour and Deruth
In this AU, Jour is unable to have children
And for the first time in millennia, Cale discover the love of a mother
All this time, it's only him and his brother. But even so, as of late he feels more alone than ever despite his brother is 'present'
While WS feels both heartbroken and betrayed for as his only family, the only person he love and wish to never leave is leaving him all alone
When WS kill Cale, he does't know that the one he kills is his brother
WS thought he would not feels anything but upon seeing his brother lifeless eyes and last smile to him, he feels his heart broken into pieces and it'e hurt like no others
What both WS and Cale doesn't know is, to stop their seemingly repetitive circle of reincarnation is to have them kill each other
They will not immediately die when the other die, but the one left behind will become weaker by days and died by the end of the week
And TCF timeline happens
In this timeline, WS's memories of Cale is sealed and only released after Despair is sealed again
I just imagine WS rage upon realizing that the Cale in front of him is not his brother, he rage for he doesn't where his brother is
"WHO ARE YOU!? WHERE IS HE, WHERE IS CALE!?!! WHAT THE DID YOU DO TO HIM, WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BROTHER?!?"
To say that KRS is shocks is understatement. There is never a mention of this fact in the novel. The Cale he met also never mention anything about this
But then, when he think about it again, Cale body languages, choose of words and expression struck him as odd when they talk before
One of the deal conditions is for GoD to sent Cale back to his original world when it's time for KRS to defeats WS
So, Cale, in KRS's original body, suddenly appears there a moment before CH stab WS's heart
So CH end up stabbed both of them in the hearts
WS is angry to this foreign person suddenly appeared and hinder him for taking out the impostor in his brother's body
But somehow he know, he know that this stranger with foreign face is his brother
Maybe with the way he smile at him. Maybe with the way his eyes when he look at him. But, more importantly, maybe with the way he called him Hyung
WS feels his anger become nonexistence and he just slumps into his brother arms
They ignore everything around them, even the sword that stucked them together, and just embrace each other in their last moment
And for the first time in like forever, WS let himself rest and ne vulnerable
They embrace each other and welcome death with a peaceful smile on their face

Hello! I just wanted to ask what songs you associate transmigrated reader and cale's relationship with?
(っ˘з(˘⌣˘ ) muach
i dont have the best range in in music taste since i just listened to whatever is trending rn so im sorry if this list is bland as fuck.
i explain some of why i associate the two songs with them, i hope you'll find them satisfactory ( ◜‿◝ )♡
with the those two, i would say:
IM SORRY IK I JUST COULDN'T HELP IT
In most popular opinions, In A Week is quite a gloomy and yet lovely song for its meaning.
A lot of people interpret the song as a couple laying together as they enter the afterlife ; it's bound to be quite a scary experience, but because their other half is laying beside them, they only feel a sense of peace and welcomes that death with open arms.
But my personal interpretation about this song is about how meeting each other could evoke such a peaceful atmosphere that it almost felt like death (basically romanticizing the peaceful death and not how quite it was) and that was interpreted in the first line :
I have never known peace like the damp grass that yields to me
The whole world is such a rocky place for the two of them — how it continuously preys upon the peace they want to have so much and how the two of them cannot understand the thought to ruin another person who had done nothing wrong
I have never known hunger like these insects that feast on me
— is a line that I interpret as both of them admitting that they have never had the intention to feast (attack, prey upon, ruin) on others like how others are doing to them.
Both Cale and T!Reader are people with a tragic past and no one deserved to have their past, and yet it seems like they still kept on being good people.
I don't want to go on a tangent with this song analysis but the bottom line of this song is about how I think the two of them could find a sense of peace that almost feels similar to death when they are with each other and they could so easily drown in each other's presence
We lay here for years or for hours
This line explains how easily they are to be consumed by each other's presence — time no longer making sense. Were they here for an hour or for five? Was it a whole day? They don't know, and really, none of them cared.
So long we become the flowers
This one is a bit scary haha. This line explains how they both lay together, still and in peace to the point they could have become a part of Mother Nature.
Though the bottom line of the song is how no matter where they are, if they are still with each other, that's home.
Another song is Hozier's I THINK THIS ONE IS THE ONE I ASSOCIATE THE MOST WITH THEM PLEASE READ IT
This song is inspired by bog bodies in Ireland but I have my interpretation that I think goes along well with the series!
This song, to me, talks of how two people with their own pasts and scars are questioning each other regarding their pasts — something you see Cale do often in my stories.
Why were you digging?
What did you bury before those hands pulled me from the earth?
I thought this was a perfect song for Cale who always wondered about Reader's past.
"What happened to you in the past?"
"What are you looking for?"
"Before you met me, what exactly did you go through?"
"What kind of past did you have to bury?"
And almost instantly, Cale's reaction to his own curiosity appeared — selfless and patient, where he still respects their privacy and was willing to wait until they're ready.
I will not ask you where you came from
I will not ask you, neither should you
That second line is Cale's realization that he also has a past and scars that he wished to not talk of. He knows that Reader knows, but he does not wish to talk of it, and therefore he cannot pressure Reader to talk further about their past.
Honey just put your sweet lips on my lips
This line is so sweet to me because despite the questions, scars, the pondering, they decided to just "you know, let's try". They decided to continue the relationship although there's so many things blank, but they love each other too much to let each other go just because the other party isn't comfortable yet.
We should just kiss like real people do
This line makes me a bit bittersweet because it could be saying something about how the two of them are still dancing around — they haven't think of what they have as something real, so they try their best to convince others or even themselves.
For me, this song meant a lot about the act of waiting and being patient until you reach the point of your relationship where you're both ready to talk and become transparent. Very slow burn.

the way of shadows;
Notes: I don’t know what hit me but it did. and now we’re here -sob-
Ft: Cale
You climbed onto the bed, straddling his sides as your shadow washed over him. Your movements were wary and careful even if you knew it’ll take nothing less than a natural disaster to wake him. The drug you’ve used was meant to send them into the deepest slumber after all.
For a moment, you watched this man breathe. Who knew, even the renowned hero of Roan kingdom could look so peaceful and unguarded when in rest. The bitterness on your tongue was hard to swallow.
“Sorry.” You whispered nonetheless, your eyes stung but no tears would fall. You’ve had your time to hate your weakness and deserved no pity for the sin you’re about to commit. You’ve made your choice.
The drug you used had a hefty dose of anaesthetics mixed in, whether for his better or to ease your own conscience you weren’t going to stick around long enough to find out.
The ornate dagger in your hand carved a sharp path as you swung at his neck in one smooth move, praying that the death you’ll deliver will be swift and painless.
Clang!
Only to have it glance off a magical shield that appeared at the very last moment, washing the room in the brightest light and partially blinding you. You had enough of your wits to leap off the bed, putting space between you and him. Your stomach dropped as you watched as the man sit up, brown eyes remarkably clear for someone who looked fast asleep not moments ago.
He’s not drugged.
Knowing your plans had failed, you did not hesitate to reverse the grip on your blade. You saw how his eyes widened with shock and he'd immediately moved but he wouldn’t reach you in time as you plunged the knife towards your stomach.
“Choi Han!”
A great force knocked you towards the side, sending you crashing against the edge of the oak table with a loud crack. Your head was held against the smooth surface as your arm was violently twisted behind your back. With a decisive jerk that pulled against your shoulder, you cried in pain as the weapon in your hand fell to the ground.
“H-how..” you breathed heavily, you made no move to struggle against the tight grip knowing you’ve lost the moment you’ve been found.
Instead of answering you, Cale Henituse walked towards the table and swiped the envelope you’ve left, opening it and scanning the contents with a frown on his face. “A murder suicide.” he scoffed. “Not very original.”
You’re pretty sure you’ve cracked a rib but you laughed despite the pain. “Was it too mundane of an ending for the illustrious Silver Shield Hero after all?”
You groaned when the grip on your arm tightened further. It didn’t matter, you weren’t planning on leaving this room alive anyways.
He crouched to meet your gaze. “Do you think your sibling will thank you for doing this?”
You froze.
“Really?” he tsked. “Thrown into pit of vipers, left to fend for themself, their last remaining guardian gone. Is that how you’re planning on protecting them?”
“What would you know?” you snarled unable to keep your anger in check as every word that spilled from his lips was akin to poison being dripped onto the festering wounds of your heart. How dare he presume that you have not considered the consequences, that you have not searched high and low for every possibility to save your family, like choosing murder and your own death was easy.
“How are you going to guarantee their safe return when you’re dead?” he cuts over you sharply.
The silence that encapsulated the room was so thick you could hear a pin drop.
“You’re a coward.” he met your eyes coldly. “If you wish to protect someone, death should never be an option. You should struggle to survive no matter what. Struggle hard and bloodily, just to grasp a minuscule chance to bite your enemies’ hand.”
He grasped your chin. “That’s how you protect someone.”
You breathed heavily, the pain of your cracked rib and twisted arm was unbearable. But nothing could compare to the agony that was tearing through your heart. Hot tears welled in your eyes as you met his gaze, your teeth biting down on your lip hard enough to draw blood. “It doesn’t matter anymore. What.. are you going to do now?”
He hums as he released your chin, stepping back as he crossed his arms.
“I don’t dislike people with a weakness.” he smiled, but it was a smile that didn’t reach his eyes and you felt a foreboding chill run down your spine.  “_______, you’re going to work hard for me.”
You didn’t have time to process the terrifying words before you were knocked unconscious.
┈     ┈     ┈     ┈     ┈     ┈     ⋞ 〈 ⏣ 〉 ⋟     ┈     ┈     ┈     ┈     ┈     ┈
He observed the unassuming bottle filled with clear liquid by the light of the fireplace. You weren’t much of an assassin, but your proficiency in alchemy cannot be denied.
He threw the morbid suicide letter into the fireplace and watched as the flames consumed every trace of the terrible cliche.
He felt as Choi Han approached him from behind. “What should we do now Young Master?”
“Tie them up.” He wasn’t going to let a person who attempted to harm them run around unsupervised. You’re still a danger and he’s been through enough troublesome things in his life to have shaved off his naivety in dealing with people after his life.
He pocketed the poison and pulled the cloak around his shoulders close. As he turned towards the door he passed by your side. Even unconscious your brows were pulled together. Good. He thought. The more you’re loathed to leave things behind the easier it would be for him to put you to work. Cale hates wasting potential after all. He’s going to make sure you’re going to be working for them until your very last breath.
“Let’s go, there’s a trashy noble’s house that’s due for a visit.”
It’s time to loot your weakness.

Theory time : Trash of the count’s family
As usual, it’s pretty long.
And I don’t think I ever got a theory right. So if you don’t want to read a lot, skip it. Spoiler until chapter 480 of the light novel and a few things that I was spoiled. (I know, I still have a long way to go with 700+ chapter having been released, but the idea just kept coming back in my head and I was trying to not work on other things. So, I procrastinate to write this and to flee the tiny humans visiting who wanted to keep playing with me until exhaustion.)
Theory: Cale Henituse aka Kim Rok Soo ‘s soul/ heart is someone from the ancient time.
Why? There are a few things that caught my attention while reading the first 480 chapter.
I first thought about it because the ancient powers’ behaviour surprised me a little.
1.      The little hints in the ancient powers
               a.      The way the ancients power saved the “water of judgment”.  They burned a whole area in the North, created an epic mess and saved/ freed someone in the process. When I read about that crazy plan, I thought: that is something Cale would do. And the more I thought about it, the more I am certain Cale would have done something like that had he lived in that time. Create a big mess to save someone.
            b.      The ancient powers personalities. Don’t they seem like crazy people that would gather around Cale had they lived in the present time? Also, Cale kept wondering if the Cobblestone was human since he killed so many monster in the tunnel between the two continent next to his villa. But if the ancient powers were not all human, it would parallel Cale present time where he befriends so many different races that look up to him. And while they worked together to save the water ancient power, they seemed to have split later on since they all died alone and they did not all seem to be friends.
                                          i.     It made me think of another theory, if the one person (Cale original self per example) they gathered around together died or disappeared (Cale is the heart of the group in this present time too), it wouldn’t surprised me that they would split. And that would kinda explain why the fight was so complicated that all evil and all heroes died if the strategist had died beforehand and that the core members had died while branching out.
               c.      The way the scary cobblestone kept asking: do you want to sacrifice yourself. Now we know that he wasn’t doing it to scare him (well maybe a little), but because he was worried and wanted to protect him. But what if he was asking and being worried because he and the other power knew his self-sacrificial tendencies from back in the days (and that they failed to protect him maybe)?
              d.      Cale can hear the ancient power while others who have ancient powers don’t. It was said that it was because the power didn’t fuse with him properly, but it might have been a subconscious choice from him. Cale also chose to not to fuse with them to keep hearing them. The reason could be because while he doesn’t remember them, he subconsciously didn’t want to lose them again.
                e.      The reason Cale was so lucky to find all five ancient powers could be because they all wanted to be found by him. Why? To protect him. They were all on the same side of the war. None of the powers are the ones that the white star or his subordinate had. I know most of them came from the Birth of a hero book from Nelan Barrow but (SPOILERS that I found out that happens later in the series, be warned, 600+ chapter ?) it was said that the current god of Death could be the first Choi Aka Nelan Barrow. He was also part of the group of heroes from that time since he was the only survivor of the last battle because he was protected by the Scary cobblestone. If he had known about the original Cale, he could have written about them for Cale to find because he knew they would have wanted to protect him. Remember that some ancient powers in the book were mentioned, but never claimed. That itself is pretty weird unless it was on purpose. And Nelan Barrow might have written down only the powers that he knew that Cale had met, if he had met the ancient power after they had split since I don’t think they say at what time exactly he arrived in ancient time. It could be before, in, or after the war.
               f.       The world tree hint. Chapter 172 I think : “There were people like you whom I could not see their pasts nor futures. I could only see tiny glimpses of their near future.” And later. “– The owners of the ancient powers were just like you. I could not see them. (…) I couldn’t see through the arsonist nor the rock for brains.”
 2.      Cale ability “record”.  I have a theory that the ability people awakened in his version of Earth are things or power that they either consciously or subconsciously wanted. Like his team leader embrace that stem from his desire to become an actor in the past. The ability to “record”, thus remember things, might stem from him subconsciously wanting to remember people in this time since he forgot (because of reincarnation probably) his past life (or lives).
 3.      The Henituse motto. "There is no reason to be recorded in history. Live for peace and happiness instead." The key word here is “recorded”. Knowing Cale’s ability, this sentence hits differently. What if the Henituse family had ties to Cale’s earlier life (ves?) ? Or was created by him at one point in time if he had more than one incarnation? It’s an old, selfless noble family that ended up protecting people from the forest of darkness while quietly living their life. The motto is essentially how Cale wishes he could live. I always thought it was fishy when I read it. The first incarnation of Cale may or may not have had the record ability though, but may reflect Cale’s desire not to known as a hero or recorded as one. However, the two sentences still hold true to what Cale wants and desire, especially if he lived in the troubled/war time that was the ancient times.
 4.      The birthday conundrum. It seems the Choi of the past and present and Kim Rok Soo share the same birthday. It might be the “link” that allowed the Choi and Cale to transmigrated into the birth of a hero world. But I wondered something else, what if (Spoilers again like earlier, so 600+ chapter spoilers that I saw online) the link was more subtle or emotional. If the first Choi, Nelan Barrow, chose that day, his own birthday, to incarnate people to protect someone. Kim Rok Soo friend, the nephew of Choi Han, ended up dying to protect Kim Rok Soo. Choi Han is currently acting as Cale’s sword. Nelan Barrow, possibly the god of death, is using Kim Rok Soo to save the world, maybe 2 worlds since he was also a hero on Earth.  Anyway, the God of death seems like a complicated story that will get worse as it goes on.
 5.      Cale’s aura. The fact that people keep mistaking him for dragons/demons/some sort of other being. He could be related to the gods or be a divine race, or just a human favored by nature (and possibly his past friends that had a close affinity to nature such as the ancient powers). It points toward the fact that Cale is someone special in any case.
 6.      SPOILER Chapter 600+. Cale’s mother from the Thames family has a time/fate? Ancient power. The Thames family also gathered information about transmigrator and the sort. So there is definitively something going on on that side that has yet to be revealed.
 7.      Raon power is the present. It sounds like a strange power and, as of chapter 481, he hasn’t really used it yet. I kept wondering why he had that power. But if Cale’s time is related to the past, maybe Raon is going to be needed to secure is time in the present or something of the sort. But I feel like his power is a clue to the events to come.
 8.      Cale time is warped according to the white star. That itself doesn’t say much, but (SPOILER Chapter 600+ that I saw) Original Cale had not his time warped apparently. I am wondering if it’s because Kim Rok Soo transmigrated or if it’s actually because it’s is soul/heart that is from the ancient time.
 9.      Cale/Kim was supposed to die, but didn’t according to the god of death. His friend from Earth weren’t supposed to die, it seems. Kim Rok Soo was supposed to die, but it was never cleared when he was supposed to die. It could mean that he was supposed to die in the past, the ancient time kinda past. Yet, he is here now. I also find it weird that his past team leader on Earth took the time to explain to him, he who can remember everything, how is special ability, Embrace, work when it was not standard to talk about them. I also wonder a lot about him since he was the first one to find Kim Rok Soo and that he was one of the first to develop an ability, but that’s off topic.
 Well, that’s all I could think off.
I’ll keep reading the novel when I get more time and probably think how a fool I was to write this. Bah, Tumblr is the land of fools. It would not be the first time I am completly wrong about something. And this novel is pretty good at being hard to predict.

Novel Review: Trash of the Count's Family by Yoo Ryeo Han
[20.09.20]
TITLE: Trash of the Count's Family
AUTHOR: 유려한 (Yoo Ryeo Han)
GENRE: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, Seinen
TYPE: Web Novel (KR)
STATUS: Ongoing
SYNOPSIS:
"I can't be a trash forever."
Kim Rok Soo's soul was moved into the body of Cale Henituse- a minor character and the trash of the Count’s family (the family that oversaw the territory where the first village that Choi Han visits is located) who was beaten to a pulp by the main character in the beginning of the novel The Birth of a Hero (which he had only read the first 5 volumes). He wants to have a peaceful life but things keep getting in his way and he ends up getting into situations that lead him (pretty much) to become the hero.
MY REVIEW:
It's a pity that I only found out about this novel after I saw the first chapter of the adaptation to Manhwa. If I have to sum it up it would be something like this: a crazy bastard who wants to be a slacker but ends up being a hero. He also feeds people and offer them a place to belong.
This novel has a lot of interesting aspects like dragons, beast people, mermaids, superpowers, political maneuvering, action, scam, making even more money, zero romance and a lot of twists and more! If you want to see if Cale ever gets to live the slacker couch potato life that he wishes to have, please check it out!
MAJOR CHARACTERS:
Cale Henituse/Kim Rok Soo:
-aliases: Puppy Young Master-nim, Human, Hero, Young Master Silver Shield, Hero of the Jungle, Unlucky Bastard, Crazy Bastard;
-at first he collects ancient powers to have a slacker life but later he needs all five ancient power attributes to survive;
-his life motto was pretty simple: Living long without pain. Enjoying the small joys of life. Living a peaceful life;
-Kim Rok Soo's soul was 36 years old while the body of Cale was 18 years old;
-he has insanely high alcohol tolerance;
-loves throwing away other people's money;
-he's also an expert in scamming people.
Choi Han:
-the original protagonist of the novel The Birth of a Hero;
-he was sent to the Forest of Darkness when he was 17 years old and he had nothing but his school uniform on him;
-has black hair and black pupils;
-he really isn’t the type to let people do as they please with him;
-he is likely over a hundred years old;
-in the current story he protects Cale.
Ron Molan:
-he was originally the patriarch of the Molan Family, an assassin household from the Eastern continent;
-after Arm nearly wiped out the family, he took his young son Beacrox and fled, eventually coming into the service of the Henituse Family and he raised Cale like he was his own grandson since he was little;
-a cruel and vicious individual;
-very good at hunting rabbits and foxes.
Beacrox Molan:
-Ron's son;
-is currently the second chef of the Henituse Family;
-he specialized in the way of the sword and not assassinations;
-he was also obsessed with cleanliness and sharpened his spotless blade every day, using that same sword to slice the heads of his enemies off their bodies;
-he also specializes in torture.
Billos:
-the Flynn Merchant Guild’s illegitimate son;
-the owner of the tea shop The Fragrance of Tea with Poetry.
Rosalyn:
-the former Crown Princess of the Breck Kingdom and an ally of Cale's, she gave up her claim to the throne in order to pursue her dreams;
-her goal is to become the liege of the continent's greatest Magic Tower.
Lock:
-he is a member of the Blue Wolf Tribe of the Beast People and the only survivor of his Tribe;
-because his Wolf tribe blood is the purest, he is expected to become the future Werewolf King.
Raon Miru:
-"Joyful Dragon";
-a six years old cute black dragon with blue eyes (four years old at the beginning of the story;
-his spatial dimension was pretty much a refrigerator.
On & Hong:
-children of the Cat Tribe;
-the silver one (On) is the older sister and she was fog and the red one (Hong) is the younger brother and was poison.
Alberu Crossman:
-the Crown Prince of the Roan Kingdom and the eldest son of Zed Crossman, he's a quarter dark elf on his mother's side, a fact which he's very careful to hide;
-he began working with Cale after the terrorist attack on the capitol;
-"the shining star that will brighten our Roan Kingdom as well as the Eastern and Western continents. You will be both the sun and the moon. Sometimes, you shine so brightly that I get so filled with admiration about how bright the Roan Kingdom's future will be-”;

What were your last words?
Tumblr media
Ashley Butterfly’s final last words would be her doing everything in her power to protect and stop whoever is a treat for her team and friends. That risks her turning into her full demonic self with Cale’s help. She gets large demon butterfly wings that gives her all the power that Cale can use and even beyond.
However, it has the coast of draining her life force every hour. He told her never use this unless it’s like the whole world was in danger or something really serious as a last resort. She gave her life for others to not die as he would hold her body that changes into a demon cocoon. True, she would never leave this little shell but he will bury her in the earth so her ashes can help become one with the plants.
Tumblr media
Or
Tumblr media
And
Tumblr media
To Vivi, death is something she’s used to every day seeing so many innocent lives and evil ones leaving the world to the others. Even the demonic ones being taken to the different dimensions. If she had to her final words it could be either of these three. That results in her offering off the biggest sacrifice for her teammates.  If she became a demon fully, she wouldn’t suffer much but their is a greater far more dangerous power beyond that even using one each of  Nagi and Orochi’s own personal weapons that was not ready for her till she became more stronger. Both tells her about it but at the cost of such power, she would die as soon as she changes back when using them. Her body wouldn’t be able to move as she lays where she is dying as they say.
She knew her friends would cry over her as she was dying but all she would do is show a gentle smile that’s never been shown before by her. Tears would roll down her eyes to say how blessed she was to have Jinx and the other girls, along with her friends being by her side. Even at her death, her spirit will be taken by Orochi and Nagi so they can make it a seal resting place within either one.
Tumblr media
Or
Tumblr media
Now, finally for Melinda. She always had a heavy heart for every death she’s seen so far in her life. Thinking it’s all her fault resulting in never fully forgiving herself. Even the ones of her fallen friends that always looked at her as close family. If she had any final words, it would be these. Why? She’s always had self doubt on herself because she always thinks everyone she cared for died or figures she was in the way. This time, she would change that. She would do everything in her power to protect the ones she loves. She would give it her all including taking every blow to be sure they got away. That includes taking a serious blow while bleeding to death for them. Even if she was seriously in danger to dying, she would smile and cry knowing they were safe then begs them to run away and never look back. She’s already had close encounters in the past resulting in so many scars all over her body.
For a final resort, she would tap into her power sealed within herself with both of her telekinesis and flames when she would feel her body become 100% times stronger where she’s engulfed in a telekenesis flames. Even with this power, she draws herself closer to death because it’s burning her from the inside out at the cost of this power while using it. When she did finish what she could, she would die laying there. Even if they were crying begging her not to, she accepts her death either way. She would be able to join her friends that was taken from her and rest in peace with her friends. Even if they told her to live your life, she’s willing to give that up for everyone too.

Title: and even now, you’re my light Fandom: Trash of the Counts Family Characters: Derth Henituse, Raon Miru, Rosalyn, Mary, Ron Molan, On, Hong, Eruhaben, Choi Han, Alberu Crossman
Summary: Cale falls during the final battle with The White Star and his friends grieve him. inspired by the song Lemon by Kenshi Yonezu
 How good it would have been if this were all just a dream Even now, I still dream of you Like I’m going home to get something I’ve forgotten I dust off my old, worn memories
Duke Henituse had still been young when his first wife had died and his son even younger, it had been only Cale who made it possible for him to get through that time of grief and now he was gone too. It hadn't seemed real when they'd been told of his death; Prince Alberu himself had come to tell them the news and all Deruth could remember thinking as the prince spoke was that it couldn't be true, his son couldn't be dead.
He’d wanted it to be just a dream, a nightmare he could wake up from at any moment, but Violan’s painful grip on his arm and the sight of her pale face told him it was all too real. Despite Cale not having been one of her children by blood, she had loved him all the same and her grief was evident in her expression and the way she clung to him like he was the only thing keeping her upright.
Lily and Basen’s expressions hadn’t been anymore calm, both of them had looked up to their brother, had strove to improve themselves in order to be able to support him; the back they had chased after had disappeared though, leaving behind a gaping void that he could only hope they’d be able to climb out of.
Twenty-one years, in the end that was all the time his son had gotten; Deruth had watched him grow from a cheerful young boy into a spoiled teenager, and then turn his life around and rise up to become a hero to more than just the Roan Kingdom. He’d been kind, generous, loyal and above all fully willing to put his life on the line to protect others; he’d been a good person, a good son, and Deruth missed him so much.
 The last thing you taught me Is that there are types of happiness that don’t come back The dark past I kept hidden and unsaid Would have remained forever dark, if I hadn’t met you
The first thing Raon had come to know in his life was pain, from the moment he’d been born up until he was four, suffering had been his constant companion.  The only thing that had kept him going throughout the days of torture and darkness was his anger and thoughts of revenge; there had been no joy, no hope, only agony and the thought that one day he would make them pay.
Then Cale had come along and pulled him out of the dark and into the light; he’d given Raon not only his freedom, but also a home, a name and a family. For the first time in his life Raon had gotten to enjoy the feeling of happiness; alongside Cale he’d gotten to travel all over the world and meet all kinds of people and do all kinds of things. Of course there had been some tough times too, Cale had caused him lots of stress because of his self-sacrificing nature, but he wouldn’t have traded it all for anything in the world.
Somehow he'd thought those days would manage to last forever, that he'd spend all of his life safe and happy alongside Cale; it was only as he stood crouched beside Cale’s cooling body, tears falling from his eyes, that he realized how wrong he'd been. Those happy days were gone, and no matter how hard he wished, it was impossible to bring them back. He'd never again feel Cale’s hand gently petting his head, or curl up next to him at night, they'd never go loot bad guy’s safes again, or scam people into doing what they wanted; Cale would never be there to comfort him when he wasn't feeling great or mighty either, would never again tell him not to ask obvious questions.
He'd said many times that he'd destroy the world if Cale died, but the moment Cale did, his world had already been destroyed.
 I know there’s no possible way I could ever be hurt any more than this
Rosalyn knew she had been lucky compared to most of her friends in that she'd led a life largely free of sadness and loss; there had been hard times for her of course, there were for everyone, but never to the extent that many she knew had gone through. Even when she'd renounced her royal heritage she hadn't really lost her family or home, even if it was in a different manner than before she could still see and interact with them, plus she'd found a new home a friend's along the way.
Cale’s death though had brought with it pain like she'd never felt before; it was strange really, they'd all spent so much time worrying over Cale's health and the way he pushed himself so hard, but the idea of him dying had always felt like an unreal possibility because there was no way such a thing could happen. He was a force of nature just as much as his powers were, it was him who had brought them all together and changed their lives, there was no way he could ever go away.
But then he had.
Even all the times she'd strained and pushed her body to limit had never hurt as much as the loss of him, it was a soul-wrenching pain that didn't seem to end, and she didn't know if it ever would.
 Even the sadness of those days, even the pain of those days I loved every bit of it, with you by my side
Mary had lived a life full of pain, as a necromancer there was no other way she could live; despite that, she'd always tried her best to stay hopeful, to look for the light even if she couldn't be a part of it.  Then Cale had come along and things had changed, he offered her a chance to step out into the world above, to be part of something she'd only ever been able to dream about until then.
It hadn't been easy of course, necromancers were still hated and feared, but he'd given her a home and his protection. In return she'd done her best to aid him however she could; no matter how much it hurt her every time she controlled her bones and sent them to fight, it was all worth it to protect the happiness and family she'd found.
And with time she had come to be loved by more than just her friends; people didn't turn away in fear at the sight of her, but cheered and called out her name; children in the streets wore black robes and pretended to fight off enemies. The light she'd been only able to watch from a distance for so long had finally found its way to where she could reach it.
It was Cale she had to thank for it, and even though he was gone, she knew she would never forget all that he'd done for her.
 In my heart, never coming out, is the bitter smell of lemon I can’t go home until the rain lets up And even now, you’re my light
Cale had hated bitter things, that was a fact that as head butler to the Henituse family, Ron Molan had known very well; and yet he'd always choked down whatever lemon-flavored drink Ron had brought him without complaint. Oh, he'd curl his lips in disgust or shoot annoyed glances at his back when he thought Ron wasn't looking, but never once did he tell him to take it back or bring him something different.
The same went for the duties that fell to him as he made his way through life; many bitter tasks had landed on the young master-nim’s shoulders, but he'd pushed through, fulfilling each on as best he could even when it was clear he didn't want to. It was that attitude that he'd carried with him until the very end, and it had left Ron wishing that just once he would have said "No, take it back," instead of drinking it all down.
There were so many years that should have been ahead of Cale, so many things he should have been able to still do; and yet despite all the additional chances he had made possible for other people, there had been none left for him.
The sky had poured the day of his funeral, almost as if it too was mourning, and even once the clouds had cleared Ron had been able to tell that the rain continued on in people's hearts. It had been no different for him and Beacrox of course, they'd been around for Cale’s whole life and while they hadn’t always liked him, he’d ended up earning their respect. It had been Cale who’d saved Ron’s life when he’d poisoned, Cale who had made it possible for him to have two arms again, and Cale who had given them the chance to get revenge for what had happened to the Molan household. He’d lit the way for them, just like he had for so many others, and continued to do so even now that his light had burned out.
 In the darkness, I traced your back I remember its outline vividly
On remembered well the night before the final battle with The White Star; it had been the first time in quite a while that everyone had all gathered together, from those of them who had started off together in the Henituse territory, to the newer allies they had made along the way. They had all been talking, planning and desperately hoping that everything would turn out alright the next day.
She had seen Cale standing there, his back to her as he spoke to Choi Han and Raon, telling them what their tasks would be in the upcoming battle; their weak human had seemed so strong and sturdy in that moment, despite the weight of the world resting on his shoulders, and she'd felt sure in her heart that she'd never forget the sight. She'd been so sure while watching him that night, that everything would be okay; that they'd defeat The White Star for good and come back home to live a peaceful life, all of them together. Those thoughts seemed so foolish now, with the fight behind them, but grief still paving the way ahead; without Cale was there really even someplace to go home to?
 Each time I encounter something I can’t fully accept Nothing wells up but my tears
Hong had seen plenty of hardship in his short life, of course he knew his sister had done her best to shield him from all that she could, but she hadn’t been able to protect him from everything. They’d struggled after escaping from their tribe, with no money, no home, and no food; it had been hard to survive; all they’d been able to do was keep moving from place to place and hope for the best. Cale had been the first person to reach out a hand and offer them kindness, he’d offered them first food and then a home, only requiring that they be useful in exchange.
So they’d done their best, following Cale’s orders and doing what they could to help; for any problem they came up against Cale always had a solution, all they had to do was listen and occasionally berate him when he got too reckless. It had been a fun life, they’d traveled all over the world and done all kinds of things; from fighting in a war and igniting a rebellion, to running an inn and stealing from people, they’d done it all.
That had come to an end though, and Hong didn't know what to do, didn't know how to accept that Cale was gone. It was more than just having lost a friend and benefactor, though it had never been said out loud and they'd only gotten to spend three years with him, Cale had been the closest thing they'd had to a parent. He'd fed and cared for them, protected them, bought them whatever they wanted, and even if he hadn't always been the most obvious about showing it, he'd loved them.
It wasn't fair that he was gone, Hong wanted him back! But no matter how many tears he cried it couldn't change a thing.
 What were you doing? What were you looking at? Your face turned to the side, expression unknown
Cale had been quiet the final night before the battle, not that that was unusual; for all that he had once been called trash, in the time Eruhaben had known him, he'd rarely acted in a manner one would consider loud. His silence had seemed rather pensive that night though, which at the time Eruhaben had assumed was simply due to the importance of the upcoming fight and the weight resting on his shoulders. It was only in hindsight that he realized there might have been more to it than that.
He hadn't been able to see his expression that night, Cale had been turned away from him, gaze focused on the fireplace as he gently petted Raon's head, but Eruhaben couldn’t help but be curious what it would have told him if he had seen it. Had Cale known what was going to happen? Had he known that he wouldn't survive, that the price for The White Star’s defeat would be his life?
Eruhaben suspected that may have been the case, and one of his actions prior to battle only furthered that suspicion; Cale had handed him a familiar cracked jar and told him to think about it after the battle. He could not see any reason for Cale to not have waited until afterward except that he’d either known or suspected it would be his last chance to do so.
It was frustrating, he’d never expected to meet such an annoying and unlucky pair as Raon and Cale, and yet the two of them had managed to worm their way into his heart despite his attempts to avoid it; they were his precious children and it had been his plan to spend the little remaining time he had left teaching and protecting them before dying satisfied. The two of them had refused to let him do so, however, with the unlucky punk almost outright ordering him to live longer; they’d worn him down until he’d acquiesced to hanging on a little longer. Just a year more, that was what he’d thought, enough time to hopefully see things to the end and let the other’s better come to terms with his impending death.
In the end, though, it had been Cale who went to his rest first, leaving Eruhaben with the feeling that he could not yet go; Raon and the other’s couldn’t lose someone else so soon. No doubt Cale had known such a thing would happen, had known he’d feel too guilty to die and would have to stick around; what a selfish punk, forcing a decision on him. He couldn’t find it in himself to really be upset though, not after Cale had given his all to protect his friends and the world.
Eruhaben didn’t know how many more years the artifact could give him, but whatever it could he’d take and spend it watching over those left behind. It was all he could do.
 If you’re somewhere now, just the way I am Trapped in loneliness, suffering and crying Somehow, please, just forget about me I wish for it so strongly, with all my heart That even now, you’re my light
Cale Henituse was not the first person to have shown Choi Han kindness in the new world he’d ended up in, that had been the people in Harris Village, but it had been Cale who’d reached out to him when he was at his darkest point. He was the reason Choi Han had been able to climb out of the hole of despair that he had been trapped in and so he’d sworn to protect him, but in the end, he’d failed; he could fight Cale’s enemies but no matter how strong he got he’d never been able to protect Cale from his own self sacrificial tendencies.
He wondered where Cale was now that he’d died. Had he just ceased to be? Was he in an afterlife somewhere? Had he ended up back in Korea? Choi Han had no answers to those questions, all he knew was that if Cale still existed in some shape or form, then he hoped he would forget all about them.
Such a wish would probably seem cruel to other people, and Choi Han knew it was selfish, but he also thought such a thing would be a kindness; there were many things he’d never gotten to know about Cale, about Kim Rok Soo, but he did know his greatest fear was ending up all alone. It wasn’t a fact that the rest of their group knew, at least as far as he knew, and he was pretty sure the only reason he’d been told was because Cale had been somewhat delirious from overusing his powers and worried about an injury Choi Han had gotten. It had stuck with him though, he knew what it was like to fear losing the people you cared about and that Cale had already been through it once before, same as him.
There was a certain irony to the fact that as it turned out, Cale hadn’t lost them, instead it had been them who lost him; but it didn’t change the fact that he was no longer with his family. Of course it was possible that there were other people who were dear to him wherever he was, but if there weren't, Choi Han would rather Cale forget all about them then remember and know what he had lost.
Choi Han knew that he himself would never forget though, head until the day he died, Cale would remain the light that guided his way.
 Since then, when I think of you —Someone I loved More than I ever thought— My breath stops Even though you were by my side It’s almost like a lie But I’ll never forget it That’s the only thing I know for sure
Family had always been a rather complicated thing for Alberu; because of the need to hide his heritage, along with the battle for the throne, he’d never been able to be close with the human side of his family. And while he was close with his mother’s side of the family, their relationship had always had to remain secret; which while by no means lessened their love for each other, and yet could be rather stifling at times.
Meeting Cale though had filled a gap he hadn't fully realized existed; at first he’d simply been a necessary annoyance, however over time he’d come to be someone important to Alberu, the younger brother he’d really had. Unfortunately it hadn’t been until Cale was gone that it really struck him just how important he’d become; every time an issue came up that was tough to solve on his own, his first thought would be to get Cale’s help, only to realize he no longer could; every time the nobles spoke flattering words to him, he’d think about what a rude punk Cale tended to be; whenever he caught a glimpse of siblings together, there would be a sudden pain in his chest.
He’d only known Cale for a total of three years, but that had been long enough to leave an irreparable Cale shaped hole behind, once he’d left. It almost seemed like a dream sometimes, the days they’d spent side by side, working for the betterment of both the Roan Kingdom and their world. There had been hard times and lots of headaches, most of which had been caused by Cale, but Alberu wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything. The memories of them and of Cale would stay in his heart and he would never forget.
 Even the sadness of those days, even the pain of those days I loved every bit of it, with you by my side In my heart, never coming out, is the bitter smell of lemon I can’t go home until the rain lets up Like one half of a split fruit Even now, you’re my light

First encounter (if your character is human): P-please, just stay away. No, please, don't come near me. Nothing good will come of it. Just leave me alone, please. Leave this place, and leave me be, as I'd not see any harm befall you. Please, just leave me alone. Re-encounter (if your character is human): I haven't said anything strange, have I? I have absolutely no intention of leaving here. Do not attempt to help me. Just let me sit here, and wither quietly away… After pulling lever (if your character is human): By the very gods…What have you done… You've really done it…You'll never escape him… When attacked (if your character is human): Please, stop that! What are you doing?! G-ah!
First encounter (if your character is hollow): Well, you're nicely hollowed, aren't you… Undead, eh? Well, you’ve come a long way. Are you tormented by memories? Burdened by guilt? Now the question: are you ready for more? If you are, then we ought to talk… This? This contains my power. Long ago…This…naive vessel of mine set about devising new spells. The fool dreamt of bringing new forms of magic into the world. But instead, he created me. Mostly by chance, but he did a fine job, I must say. What he sought was strength. And so, I decided to demonstrate. While my vessel slept, I'd find my mark, and hunt him down. But my vessel did not approve. And so while I slept, he sealed the both of us away. Now, I don't have anything against humans, but how is it that you go about defining good and evil? I'm only using what the Gods gave me. How can that be so wrong? So, what say you to a spot of murder on my behalf? If you don't, I'll leave this place, and take more lives. Many more. I couldn't give a fig either way. So, what's your choice? Answering NO to a quest: Yes, yes, of course. Forget that I asked. That's what "good people" do, am I right? Your feeble mind can't begin to comprehend me. Not that you've ever tried! Heh heh… First quest: Yes, I see, how very kind of you. I want you to kill a merchant named Gilligan. A greedy, foul man. He won't be missed, I assure you. Hmm…Yes… Bring me a Ladder Miniature as proof. He's the only person who'd have such an odd knick-knack…Heh heh… First quest completed: Heh heh heh… Fine work. This is my thanks. Take it. Now, let's discuss our next mark. Second quest: I want you to kill one more. Your target will be Cale, the man who's drafting that map. While I was trapped in here, he touched me, that maniac, like I was some rare specimen. He wore a strange helm. Bring it back as proof. Yes, I knew I could count on you. Perhaps this will slake my thirst. Second quest completed: Heh heh heh…Fine work. This is my thanks. Take it. Now, let's discuss our next mark. Third quest: I want you to kill one more. You target is Felkin, the hexer. As proof, bring me that peculiar sceptre of his. What do you say? Yes, very good. But he will be formidable. Be cautious. Third quest completed: Heh heh heh…Fine work. This is my thanks. Take it. Now, let's discuss something of importance. Fourth quest: You could kill a dozen like that, and it wouldn't matter. I want you to kill someone of import. I want you to kill the girl in Majula known as the Muse. They say that she is the last Fire Keeper. But they say a lot of things… That she's a gentle shepherd, lighting the way for you cursed fools. Nonsense. I want you to kill the strange girl in Majula... once she is dead, I will have no regrets, and I will be content to remain here. The girl will have a peculiar feather. Bring it to me. Now, go along. Heh heh… Answering NO to fourth quest: Having second thoughts? It's your choice. Ah hah hah, now you're getting nervous, hmm? Fourth quest completed: Yes, that's the feather. Good, oh that is very good! Your reward, take it. When gifting the Chaos Set: These are for you. Don't mind the specks of blood…Heh heh heh… Using Talk option (all quests completed): Now I am at peace. I will sit here, and watch the world turn. Heh heh… What do you require? You've been good to me. Go on, tell me what you need. Leaving after buying items: Find what you wanted? Hah hah hah hah… Leaving without buying anything: Well, as you wish. Heh heh… Leaving without exiting menu: Oh, no? After pulling lever (if your character is hollow): Hmgh… I hope you appreciate the ramifications. Well, no matter. What's done is done. Besides, I've found myself a new mark… Ah hah hah… I'll spend some time travelling the lands… slowly tracking my new mark… When attacked: You are most intriguing. Heh heh… Let’s get right to it, shall we? When killing the player: Hmm, ooh…Hah hah hah hah! Not bad at all. When killed: Death…aargh…could be worse…

Dragon Age: Origins (Sad Moments Part 1)
The Revenants of the Black Vials quest. Each of them was bound, with a little note accompanying them describing the demon's crimes. The hard part of those is who had to bind them: First: Cale Viazagat, revenant and perversion of an only son. Second: Nethamas Bigal, revenant and perversion of a fine daughter. Third: Argruth Massaad, revenant and perversion of a treasured mother. Fourth: Quametha Kagat, revenant and perversion of an honored father. Fifth: Shamas Goodson, revenant and perversion of a rare friendship. Sixth: Anton Wither, revenant and perversion of a friend not met.
              - Their own friends and families had to stand up their (in each case it seems, mass-murdering) demon-possessed corpse, defeat it and bind it. The fifth is marked with only five thumbprints instead of six (and has a note about weakness and forgiveness instead of rage), implying that the revenant was himself one of the former hunters. The last one was even signed in blood by a child.
              - The act of binding the Revenants was likely a CMOA however, considering how dangerous they are.
Ruck's situation, the poor guy. He's half-mad, knows he's crazy, and is adamant that Ilona not tell his mother about him.
         Ruck: “Nonononono! No Filda! No mother! No warm blanket and stew and pillow and soft words! Ruck doesn't deserve good memories! No, no, NO!”
And the topper? When Ilona tells Filda that Ruck is alive, Filda rushes off to the Deep Roads alone to find her son.
The death of Niall in the Fade.
Duncan's death at the Battle of Ostagar.  He's left alone in the middle of the battlefield, fatally injured, cradling King Cailain's body with an expression of utter failure, clearly aware that Loghain has betrayed them, watching as the darkspawn overwhelm and slaughter anyone still left on the battlefield. His last act is to look up at the Tower of Ishal (where Ilona and Alistair are still holed up), with an expression of deepest regret for having seemingly led them both to their deaths, before looking around to see the darkspawn general and the rest of the horde make their final assault, unable to do more than stare down the charging darkspawn as the beast pulls back its axe for the deathblow, helped along by the incredibly Sad Battle Music playing at this point.
After Ilona convinces Zathrian to end the curse in the "Nature Of The Beast" quest, the subsequent cutscene is heartbreaking. It shows Zathrian surrounded by the werewolves he cursed, facing the Lady of the Forest, and the two sharing a long, emotional look. He slowly raises his staff, strikes it on the floor, and gets this peaceful, contented look on his face as he lets go of all his old hatred and rage before collapsing in death. The werewolves then crowd around their beloved Lady, reaching out to touch her one last time before the curse is lifted and she vanishes; you can tell that they truly did love her and are deeply saddened to see her leave them, even if it means they are free. Beautifully heartbreaking, and it's all conveyed by gesture and facial expressions.
Hespith's final speech before vanishing into the darkness: maybe it's because her Creepy Monotone starts to crack very slightly here, maybe it's because it's not established what she does afterwards (she has a choice between suicide and A Fate Worse Than Death), but it really is depressing:
                   Hespith: “But the true abomination... is not that it occurred, but that it was allowed. Branka... my love... The Stone has punished me, dream friend. I am dying of something worse than death... Betrayal.”
           - Listen closely and you can hear the sound of something falling to the ground after she leaves the frame.
           - Also sad is that she feels nothing but guilt that she couldn't sway Branka from her madness.
                   Hespith: “I was her captain, and I did not stop her. Her lover, and I could not turn her. Forgive her... but no, she cannot be forgiven.”
Ilona talking to Alistair about his time with the Grey Wardens. Alistair tells her that he really misses Duncan and wishes that he could have something to remember him by.
Ilona admitting to the Guardian of the Gauntlet that she blames herself for the death of her mother and father, believing they would still be alive if she had stayed and defended them to death. Her friends comfort her and tell her that it wasn’t her fault.
When the Guardian asks Sten if he feels he has failed his people by killing the family who saved him:
                 Sten: “I have never denied that I failed.”
Oghren's response to The Guardian is even more tear-inducing. Keep in mind that at this point Oghren has gone through the loss of his house, his caste, and even killing his own wife in self-defense. Despite all that he doesn't voice to the party anything beyond mild discontent. When The Guardian questions him, however, Oghren solidifies his Woobie status.
                 The Guardian: “Ah, the dwarf. You left your home and came to the surface, knowing that-”
                  Oghren: “Why don't I save you some time? Yes, I wish I could have saved my family from Branka. I wish I could have been a better mate; maybe she would have stayed home with a belly full of baby Oghren and never gone for the Anvil. Maybe I failed her. And yes, I came to the surface because I'm barely a dwarf anymore. My family is dead, my honor as a warrior long gone. I've lost my caste and my house, and I have nothing else to lose!”
Loghain's 'Daughters never grow up' speech to Anora just before Alistair executes him at the Landsmeet. No matter how much you hate him during the rest of the story, it's this moment that really shows his humanity and that, despite the huge evidence to the contrary, he genuinely cares for his daughter.
The first portion of the Gauntlet after answering the riddle posed by the spirit of Maferath, Andraste's mortal husband. It's the regret in his voice, particularly in the last sentence.
          Maferath: “Yes, jealousy drove me to betrayal. I was the greatest general of the Alammari... but beside her, I was nothing. Thousands fell before her on bended knee. They loved her, as did the Maker. I loved her too, but what man can compare to a god?”
A small one from Morrigan: After she tells Ilona about Flemeth, she asks the Warden about her own mother. When Ilona tells her that her mother died very recently Morrigan's face contorts somewhat sadly, and she offers her genuine sympathy.
Another one from Morrigan, when Ilona gives her the mirror. When Ilona tells her it's merely a gift and expects nothing in return, Morrigan is at a complete loss for words, while sounding like she's trying to hold back a river of tears.
During one conversation Morrigan tells Ilona how much she means to her as a friend, even regarding her as a sister. Then, when it comes time to part ways during the Battle of Denerim, she tells Ilona to live, long and gloriously.
Zevran's last mission before going after the Grey Wardens, along with his reasons for making the bid for the task of slaying the Wardens.
