i once again am overwhelmed by stupid busywork. Get Me Out

listening: finished the counter/weight prequel eps! feels good to be listening to a friends at the table thing in-time with when they're released, lol. i fully laughed out loud at the heartfelt moment between aria and hymn being interrupted by austin's fucking ice machine. incredible. no notes. "people are gonna go insane about aria in this one" keith you are SO right.

music for the week was the spotify release radar! just gettin some new tunes. i'm thinking of making a playlist that's just the songs that i like from release radar and the at the end of the year i can have a New Of 2024 list, idk. i AM going to try and be more discerning about what things i post, though - it would be very easy to just drop a huge list of all the songs on there that i kinda liked with no commentary but i think it'll be more fun to do fewer songs and actually talk about them, y'know?

philadelphia (matt maltese): feels like a mug of tea. very soft. nostalgic for something i've never seen. travels (rob blivion): really does seem like it should be playing over some indie film montage of someone travelling through mists in the scottish highlands. harsh truths (lemoncello): another indie soundtrack song. i think there's a bass in the background? although in retrospect i think it's a cello. lemoncello. duh. anyways it's very good. burning down the house (paramore): this is SUCH a fun cover. what can't paramore do for real. oh no::he said what? (nothing but thieves): BOUNCY. toe tapper. i am driving down a neon highway at 10000mph. coming home song (sammy rae & the friends): back to wistful and nostalgic. feels a certain kind of way especially right now because i am in the process of finding a new apartment, entirely alone for the first time. jolene (maneskin & dolly parton): speaking of really fun covers, yes yes yes. everything i would have wanted from this.

honorable mention to love me not (emei). i do not like this song particularly. it is stuck in my head though.

reading: fallow.

watching: just like last week: with the boyf, the newest dungeon meshi, i loved the way they animated the mimic. then some kill la kill. we're up to episode 11 now, almost halfway! also went to a superbowl party sunday. basically what you'd expect. fun socializing though.

playing: only had the one dnd last weekend, the one i run! went well. definitely was kinda sleepy and not as focused as i'd like. sigh.

making: mostly fallow...i cut out some of the border pieces for my handsewing project in a nice matching solid blue during the superbowl but have not attached any of it yet. started idly crocheting a rectangular prism-shaped object to use as a mtg deck case.

drew a little birthday card for my grandma i guess? mostly watercolor pencil, some prisma marker for the background. can't be assed to rotate it the right way, sorry, lol

pottery-wise, i did not take pictures but i have some fun interesting stuff in the works! biiiiig pot for my mom (got a little busted. but i think it'll make it). mug. glazing a bowl using sgraffito to carve out some waves (my roommate accidentally dinged the rim and i'm incorporating that into the design). did not take any pictures last week but i'll get some tomorrow for the next tuesdaypost.

eating: my roommate made a truly enormous focaccia in a 9x13 glass baking dish to cut into super bowl party sandwiches. they were delicious and we are still eating them for lunch basically every day. she also made a marinated beef bulgogi-type object, served over rice with veg and a fried egg and some spaghetti squash...yumb.

misc: i can't even be like "i just have to make it through this week" because i know next week will look literally exactly like this one (homework due wednesdays for one class, fridays (plus ANOTHER assignment alternating wednesdays) for the other). really bad vibes. just gotta make it through this week this semester.

all about you - Chenle scenario

Did anyone else saw the newest ep of Chenji this and that? they looked so cute🥺 so here's a quick little scenario with lele. I hope you like it!

"Fine! Don't bother coming back!"

Jisung almost jumped from where he was standing, hands frozen on the doorknob when suddenly it opened revealing a very frustrated looking you.

"When he's in his right mind, tell him he knows where to find me" you grumbled on your way out while Jisung waves goodbye awkwardly to your retreating figure.

When he entered the room where his besfriend was, he saw Chenle scrolling through his phone with an equally frustrated look on his face, "Do I want to know?" Jisung asks his bestfriend

"You know that dude I was telling you about the last time" Chenle says, "The googly eyes guy?"

"Yes! that one! Y/N won't believe me when I told her he likes her, she said he even invited her out for a friendly lunch tomorrow" out of frustration, Chenle throws his phone to the side before resting his head back on the couch

"Maybe he doesn't really like her?" Jisung only said it to console his bestfriend, but he was already regretting saying the words the moment it left his mouth

"Jisung"

"Mhm"

"Aren't you my bestfriend?" Chenle asks with a serious expression on, one that kind of scares the young boy but would never admit to his bestfriend.

"I should say yes shouldn't I?"

That earned him a pillow to the face, "Don't ever get a girlfriend, they're so frustrating. They say one thing but means another, they say no but actually means yes. acts angry but is actually just hungry. I swear to god I've aged 10 years since we started dating"

"But you love her though" Jisung chuckles as he watch Chenle pace back and forth in front of him. He knew every word Chenle just said came from a place of love masked with the frustration he was feeling right now. He knows his bestfriend is smitten with you, and you the same to him.

"With every chamber of my heart, but that doesn't mean she doesn't frustrate me" Chenle answers, clasping the bridge of his nose dramatically.

Sighing out loud, Chenle grabbed his phone before making a beeline to the the front door. "Yah, where are you going now?" Jisung calls out even though he already knew the answer that's about to come

"I'm going to buy some snacks then go over at Y/N's. She acts like she's angry now but if I don't talk to her before dinner she'll most like be sad"

"Whipped" Jisung coughs out teasingly, "When you get a girlfriend, you'll understand"

"You just told me to never get one"

"I'm going, I'll call later" then he was out the door.

The repeated ringing of your doorbell only meant one person,

"Honey, Chenle is here. Aren't you going to answer the door?" your mom asks you, but you made no effort getting out of your bed

"Shoo him away"

"You've been sulking since you got back, are you sure about that? If you had an arguement with him maybe you should talk it out"

"I don't want to"

Little did you know your mom already let him in before talking to you, she adored Chenle. Everyone in your family did. He was kind, have the best manners and goes along well with everyone.

"Too bad, I even brought your favorite snacks" since you were facing away from the door, you whipped your head around to see him standing beside your mom

"I'll leave you two, and Chenle dear why don't you stay for dinner"

"Of course, how I can turn down such offer" your mom smiles at him before leaving the two of you alone

"Thought you didn't want to see me"

"I did say that, but I never said I wouldn't take the snacks. You can leave it there then you can go"

He rolls his eyes at your statement, making his way inside to sit beside you. Passing the snacks over to you, he just watched you as you happily searched through it. Smiling when you saw they were all your favorite.

"I'm sorry I reacted that way. I shouldn't tell you who you can't and can hang out with. I kind of went over the line there" Chenle spoke, making you look over at him

"I'm sorry too, for walking out and not listening. He did confess like just now"

"SAY WHAT NOW?!"

"Before you get mad at me and him, I did say I have a boyfriend"

"Don't tell me you told him you can be friends"

"What was I suppose to say? Isn't it too mean if I just avoid him altogether?"

You're nice, too nice much to Chenle's dismay. But as you look at him with those wide eyes, innocently asking him what else were you suppose to say he realized that he was overreacting yet again over nothing. He was your boyfriend, not the other guy. He gets to bring you your favorite snack when you're uspet. He's the one you call or text your first goodmornings and goodbyes. He's the one you go to cuddles for.

"What do I do with you? You're too nice" he mumbles while squishing your cheeks between his hands, "Although it was kind of out of the blue, I thought he knew I had a boyfriend. You're literally my lockscreen, wallpaper and I have a photo of you on the back of my phone. Like how did he not see that?" he smiles at your words.

You are his number one fan as much as he is yours.

"You should talk about me to him"

"I did! I even said we went on a date on that cafe he was suggesting we get lunch at"

"This all your fault, stop being so cute and adorable around other guys. Only me"

"Should I put a sack over my head then?" you sarcastically asked, pushing him playfully making Chenle topple over your bed

"On second thought, No. Let the world see just how beautiful my girlfriend is" you knew he was teasing you know but you still blushed at his words, Chenle is a very straight forward guy. Often saying what he's thinking.

"Lucky you"

"That I am, now come here. I need lots of cuddles, I literally ran to the store then here after you left. Can you leave some chocolate for me, I like those"

"I knew you bought it for you"

He smiles adorably at you, his whiskers showing. It's the kind of smile that's your top favorite. Handing him the chocolate before cuddling by his side, "hey, I love you" you mumbled out of the blue making Chenle smile at you and give you the tightest hug. Kissing you on the temple.

Currently reading: First book in The Witcher series: The Last Wish. But 95% of the time fics are more important to read, especially when legends like @wonderbatwayne or @escapism-through-imagination drop something

Last song: Scream My Name by Tove Lo form The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 Soundtrack. It's the song I got a quote from for the title of my most recent fic "When I'm Dead And Gone, Will They Sing About Me?"

Last series: Just finished watching the newest ep of a Star Wars show The Book of Boba Fett but I'm here ONLY for my boy Din Djarin and his son baby Yoda Grogu and only started watching when they appeared, otherwise didn't really give a shit. Other shows currently on my tv schedule: Euphoria, Superman & Lois, Batwoman, Legends of Tomorrow and Walker.

Last movie: just yesterday I finished 4-part documentary about Janet Jackson. I recently did a Harry Potter + Fantastic Beasts marathon and that prompted me to continue this and binge all YA sci-fi/fantasy adaptations of the golden era of last decade, aka books and movies I grew up on. Now on my list is The Maze Runner trilogy. Then Hunger Games. All 3 Hobbits and Narnia. Maybe I'll add Divergent to the mix, idk

Sweet/ savory/ spicy: All of the above, I guess. Depends on the dish

Currently working on: I just dropped a fic so I'm taking a tiny break from creating content so I can catch up on consuming it. But I have two ideas I'm going to start working on soon, I just need to decide which one do first. Also, there are drawings I want to make, but my digital pen feels heavy in my hand these days. The right time need to come and it will, it always does.

Three ships:

Dickkory obviously, forever my number 1. My beloved parents. Mr. and Mrs. Sexy.

Barchie from Riverdale (although I finally gave up on this shitshow altogether so I'm only checking online what's happening with my favs instead of suffering through whole episodes. They're together now but I decided it's not worth it to sit for an hour wondering what the fuck am I even doing, watching this parody of a teen drama) because of childhood best friends to lovers excellence and look how soft and romantic they are!!!

Lyra and Will from His Dark Materials. My babies, I miss you, come back to me soon. I know you will break my heart, but come back anyway.

First ever ship: I think Robin and Starfire from Teen Titans (heh, coincidences don't exist okay?) - that was the first ship I was fully invested in, that's how I discovered fanfiction, through them. Also, I'd say it would be Cornelia and Caleb from W.I.T.C.H. I had no idea what shipping even was back then, I was like what, 7? I think even the term didn't exist yet. But I felt a really strong pull to them.

Currently consuming: Mint tea
