Finally played through the Pixel Remaster of Final Fantasy VI, it was a game

#Kermis plays video games #Final Fantasy VI #Final Fantasy #took me around 40 hours. I didn't do all the optional content but I did recruit all the party members #the default English font in this version is terrible though #I'm glad they patched in a more pixelated font later but even that still left something to be desired #luckily the Steam version is moddable so I added the font from the SNES original to it #if you're playing the PC release you can also delete the font_en file in the game directory and replace it with a copy of the font_ja file #and you get a more standard/less shrunken down & narrow font like you see in the first two screenshots #the auto-battle feature and being able to change between the original and redone soundtrack were nice #the opera scene being redone with actual sung vocals and a 2.5D graphical style reminiscent of some DS games was cool as hell

hello! i didnt know you were on tumblr. now, i have a little question to ask! do you have any beta designs or something that was meant to be mudpaw or some other cat but you picked to change it? im very curious, but if not! thats okay ^^

I have a few! Usually I end up tweaking designs little by little until I like them and THEN I use them, but some characters had designs that started out fairly different from how they are now!

These were the first iterations of Mudpaw and the rest of the apprentices! I've talked a bit about them in the past on this blog (and also I think in my commentary video?). Mudpaw started off with a slight greenish tint to his fur, with bolder stripes and different overall shapes and proportions! Whitepaw and Puddlepaw both changed a lot, and Hawkpaw was initially a bit rounder in her face with lighter gray spots instead of black!

These were the designs I ended up using in Johnny, though if you pay attention to the designs in that video, you'll see that they change subtly as the video goes on lol. Wrentail used to be a lot more angular, and his colors were a higher saturation (though you wouldn't know from the video, since it's in greyscale lol)

The mentors don't look too different from their current day designs, but some of the proportions and shapes are a little different!

I once considered giving Wrentail stripes... don't like this very much now

These are some more old designs! The first is the old version of Foxjaw (which I mentioned in this post), then a scrapped hypothetical apprentice character for Owlpounce who was going to be Hawkpaw's sibling, and the last characters were old versions of Sweetpea and Possum!

Random thought but upon further reflection... I think I've finally figured out why I actually couldn't stand Kaveh at first (past tense! I love him now if you haven't noticed yet).

When it comes to his character I see myself in him a lot as well. To the point, where I'd say I kin him.

I think he is a bit too relatable for me so that's why I didn't like him.

I'm often down on myself, never feeling good enough or deserving of love or things, holding myself to an insanely high standard that's sheer impossible to meet, and then getting upset if I can't meet it. All of this goes to the point where I neglect myself and my health.

And on top of all of that, I constantly want to help people even if it means I'm inconvenienced. And if something goes awry I blame myself very often for that as well...

Getting to see deleted scenes, especially ones that are more fanservice scenes that eventually got shortened or taken out is so important to me. it's a little au of the scene and sometimes its closer to how I envisioned a scene would go and sometimes it isn't but I still love to see it. it's a little more of the universe and adaptation I've come to love and that's always a treat

I'm taking a literature class that's supposed to end with an oral exam about all three courses in the module. Since we didn't really know that beforehand we're supposed to turn in a list of courses and their literature. Except I took the other two over two years ago and have absolutely no memory of what we read. For the lecture my friend luckily still had the slides but for the other class I got nothing, no list, not even a folder on my backup hard drive.

Gotta figure that out tomorrow I guess

hi!! i just read your med student!beomgyu drabble and it was so so cute!!! i’m a nursing student so you were actually pretty accurate with what went one, only thing is that vital signs aren’t done by doctors and it’s more of a patient tech or nurse thing (more so patient tech unless they’re in an icu). but even if it was somewhat inaccurate, it was super super cute!! i loved it lots!!! thank you for writing it!!! truly made my day <33
