WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST WATCH?!’ He then looked at me and just went ‘i can’t continue this shit if they dont get back together in the next episode. I cant do this, man.’ And then he got up and went outside

Sure Brian's not devastated. I mean he does just want Justin to be happy even if it's at his expense but also god forbid he even think about what he wants (in terms of a relationship, obviously when it comes to material possessions Brian is in the Donna and Tom camp of "treat yo'self.")

His commentary about the Brian/Mikey scene is completely and totally correct. It is such a heartbreaking scene. And yet everyone can look at Brian and somehow still believe he has no heart and that it cannot break.

Jen defending Brian this season is everything! I am glad we get that AT LEAST.

Blondie’s change came out of fucking nowhere this season and Brian’s change doesn’t count cause clearly writers are on drugs. <- I need that on a t shirt, thank you.

OHHHH AND BROTHER'S HEART IS BROKEN with that last scene. I am so sorry.

I still can't move on from that scene in Hotel del Luna where it looks like Manager Seohee is finally gonna get her revenge and just let the heir of the family she hates die.

When hearing the mom ask for someone to help her baby lets us see a flashback of Joseon Era Seohee asking people to help her dying baby? Then they show Seohee going crazy just walking around her village carrying her dead daughter like she was still alive??? Gaaah

I made a list of all the smaller or bigger details that I found important on Young Royals.

Some of them are the happy ones but also the ones that devastate me included. They are in chronological order.

Episode 1

Wilhelm has these small manerisms he does due to his training. Like when he stands up, he buttons his jacket as is proper.

Wilhelm being seemingly annoyed by people treating him differently (like Alexander getting his bags), and especially when they want to photograph him doing vain shit.

When Simon starts to sing, the boy (Vincent?) ask him this ”ursäkta, skulle du kunna sjunga lite högre?” And in finnish and english its translated as ”louder”, but im adamant the boy meant it as ”higher”, as to mock Simons voice.

The way some of the characters slip in these english phrases in the swedish they talk.

Felices ”those” hands in Maddies hair…

Sara teaching Ayub how to formally arrange the cutlery on the table.

Simon comforting his mom about their standing in school

Wilhelm telling the other 1st yearers off for trying to impress him by copying.

ML AU: Childhood Soulmates: NY Special

(Spoilers below. But you bet your A** I had to do this.)

Okay so takes place after Miracle Queen (I am probably gonna retcon the Chat blanc episode version)

-So just to be clear, Loveater and Miracle Queen end much differently in the au So naturally the special will change a Lot because of it.

-Chat noir still gives Ladybug the Yellow rose, as a token of friendship. Because he is cheesy like that. Ladybug smiles and thanks him for it.

-The class still gets to go to NY because of Paris America friendship day.

- Marinette still is hyped and ready to convince Gabriel that Adrien should go with the class. (Marinette is Processing her feelings, because ever since her talk with Kagami as Ladybug, she realized Adrien might be in love with her. Or, in love with another girl. Due to the stress of everything that day she actually cant remember the details. And she now thinks she could be wrong.)

-Adrien is bummed because he cant leave Paris with Marinette and his friends. Kagami whoops his butt.

-Kagami tries to cheer him up “Maybe when she gets back you will actually confess. and I can have a decent fight again.” No cheek kiss, cause Kagami knows.

-Gabriel agrees to Marinette’s request because he has a reason to now. Plus convenience.

-Adrien is ready to decline it, But Plagg really sells him on the idea. Plus. “What could be more romantic then confessing to your true love in another country?”

-Adrien complies, only because he is sure he can get back to paris quickly.

- Marinette now realizing that this might be a chance to finally confess how she feels... And that kind of freaks her out a lot. Maybe she shouldn’t confess. Afterall, they can just go sight seeing like friends do. But first she needs to make sure Paris is in good hands.

-Cue the ladybug and Chat noir rooftop scene. No romantic teasing. Chat noir promises her that Paris will be fine.

- Marinette was late but thanks to Luka, she was on time.

-Luka wishes her luck. (No cheek kiss for him) But a hug as thanks.

-Marinette makes it on the bus and Alya teases her. Marinette tells Alya that this is just going to be a nice fun trip. No romance, just hanging out with her best friends, there wont be a single romantic event.

-Alya rolls her eyes. “Sure there wont be”

- Marinette ends up sitting next to Adrien on the plane. Its awkward on both their fronts.

-Because Adrien wants to confess, but also feels this bit of guilt creeping on him

-Marinette feels this tension and cue the Hi-jinx.

-Marinette ends up in the front of the plane because of shenanigans. Her using this time to reassess. Adrien is her best friend, her childhood best friend. Yes, she loves him. But does that mean in a romantic light? Is he really in love with her?

-She gets up and watches the sunset, along with adrien.

-The two share a moment. Adrien decides now is the time.

-Adrien is about to confess, when Supervillain attack!

-The heroes saving the day is unchanged

-Adrien now feels even more guilty and almost gets ready to double back to paris, but Plagg tells him its fine.

-Chloé is a lot more hostile. She and Sabrina butt heads.

-Marinette and Adrien end up meeting Aeon and Jess.

-Adrien does the introductions.

-”Im Adrien, and this is my future wife, Marinette.”

-Aeon is super happy about this. Jess felt her eyes go wide

-Marinette usually a comedic yelling adrien and telling him to knock it off while he chuckles is not there. Marinette is just super red and silent. Adrien is confused. But then turns red correcting it himself.

-”Actually she is my childhood friend, Marinette.”

- Aeon almost Squees.

-”See Jess! I knew it”

-”Anyway, sorry for interrupting..”

-Jess helps them out.

-So they have fun at the party and Nino does his bro move with the hotdogs.

-Cue floating Adrinette Dancing scene. (Adrien realizes this was the perfect moment to confess and beats himself up over it later. He thought now wasnt the time because with how weird marinette was acting earlier.)

- Jess and Aeon are now team adrinette and Totally collude with Alya and Nino to put them in danger.

-Cue sh*t hitting the fan with Akuma techno pirate and Sentimonster Robustus back in paris.

-Chat noir realizes he Super f***ed up bad. (Pretty much everything happens the same way in canon.)

-Ladybug gives him a earful just as she did in canon because ‘He deserved it’ adrien knew that was true.

-Aeon almost gets destroyed like before.

-Ladybug and Chat noir have to flee.

- Adrien feels even worse, because he adds on the guilt of putting in paris in danger just to be with Marinette. How could he be chat noir after this massive f*** up. He was selfish, arrogant, and completely destroyed his partnership with ladybug. He renounces his miraculous and runs off. He wasnt worthy of being chat noir.

-Ladybug is devastated.

-Adrien going into the car just like in canon. He cant even look Marinette in the eyes, he is so ashamed of himself.

-Alya tells Marinette that is this really how she wanted this to end. That she is fine with this?

-Cue bike scene and her crash. Where Marinette really grasps it. She does love her best friend. And it just hurts more now with everything on her mind, and with chat noir.

-The stuff with the other heroes is pretty much identical, including Hawkmoth akumatizing and giving the eagle miraculous to Techno-pirate.

- Aeon of course finds Adrien and has a bit of a tougher time convincing him. But she does it with the recording. He thanks her and they head out

-Ladybug and Chat noir reunite. Chat noir appologizing. Ladybug telling him to NEVER do that to her again. They are a team.

-The plan is pretty much the same and they defeat him the same way.

- Aeon offers to delete her memory of their identities and Ladybug and Chat noir thank them.

-”It is fitting that its you who is under the mask. You both are incredible together.”

-”What does that mean?” Chat noir is perplexed.

-”Dont worry about it.” She giggles.

-Chat noir heads off.

-Marinette and the class do the Banner for Adrien.

-Adrien is happy about it.

-”I will tell Marinette how I feel. But next time, I wont compromise being a hero to do it.”

-Plagg pats his kitten.

beastars episode 23 thoughts!

some of my favorite scenes from this arc are in this ep so i've been real excited for it

this episode was super fun. as i said, its filled with some of my favorite scenes from this arc & ive been super excited to see them animated, and i dont think the anime disappointed when adapting them. this week's ep covered chapters 82, 88, the latter part of 89, 90, 91, and part of 92.

The ep opens with the moth scene, and i really loved it. I really enjoyed the way the anime adapted the part when legosi has the bug in his mouth and he's like narrating his experience of eating a bug lol. i think this whole scene was very well done and i cant wait to show it to my friends when the dub comes out lmao.

my one gripe about this scene is st i mentioned last week, that the anime made the bug eating gouhin's idea instead of legosi's. legosi is known for having unique and strange solutions to problems so in making this gouhin's idea you lose a bit of that legosi brand weirdness lol. there's also a tie-in with legosi's past and his fixation on bugs but since that got cut from this seaon it got cut from this scene too. rip.

next i wanna talk about dressgosi. a lotta ppl were worried that it'd get cut but i figured it wouldn't be. i think the anime really knocked this scene out of the park as well!!! the music. everyone's expressions. legosi's flasetto voice. all amazing lmao.

it's been known that louis hasn't been very expressive outside of going >:[ most of this season, so i'm really glad that he got to emote more in this scene. his expressions were great. i cant put screenshots of all of them here bc there's a limit to how many pics you can put in tumblr posts djlskjdlkfjsdf

i liked how they did the splitscreen so we could see legosi, louis, & ibuki's reaction's/thoughts to the whole situation lol

the way legosi's heels echo as he leaves the bar is so funny to me. A+ scene.

after this scene it's new year's eve, the night of the fight. personally i wouldve like a bit more of a buffer before actually getting into the new year's fight, but with all the rearranging and pacing issues of this season it can't really be helped that it turned out this was. it's not that big of an issue imo, just a personal preference.

we get this anime original scene of pina and riz meeting up, i think to give some plot coherence with all the rearranging the anime is doing. i think it was a nice addition.

scargosi is HEREE YEAH!!!

also!! it seems like melon & sebun has cameos in this ep 👀 rly hopin this is a sign for s3. tbh i noticed sebun on the first watch but didnt realize melon was there too until other ppl pointed it out lol.

now, im sad the anime took out legosi's new years call with haru, she already has so few moments in this arc and taking one of them out really sucks imo. but i saw some ppl suggest their phone call may be moved to next week's episode, so im gonna hold out hope that that turns out to be the case lol. also i am OBSESSED with legosi's lock screen 😭💕

now... it's here. the tunnel scene. i feel like the lead-up to this scene was a bit rushed. imo louis' "i like carnivores" line happened so suddenly, and didnt have the same impact as in the manga. altho to me louis' lil inner monologue about how he actually likes carnivores seemed a lil gayer lol so i still enjoyed it quite a bit.

i also rly liked louis' expressions in this scene, the way he looked/moved when he was talking about how legosi might die had me like 🥺

worried about his wolf bf

i also really liked the contrast of these two shots. ibuki towering over louis, looking large and imposing, and louis looking so small in comparison, having to look up at ibuki.

i wanna hold off my final judgement on the tunnel scene itself until we get to see the conclusion of it next week, but so far i think the anime is doing fine adapting it. i am a bit sad that it isnt playing out exactly the way it did in the manga but im curious about how it'll play out in the anime. on one hand i wanted more of the dialogue and all the buildup from that scene before the gunshot happened but on the other hand ending the ep w/ the gunshot and then the ED immediately starting was devastating and im sure it was even more devastating for anime onlies who finally made sense of the ED in this ep.

overall i loved this ep and im so excited for the last episode next week. we've got about 5 chapters left of this arc to be animated and it's gonna be such a Ride. im just hoping the anime can pace it out well.

I-LAND ep 9 thoughts [SPOILERS!]

first of all, yes this is my favorite i-land episode till date

okay now moving on to other things, both performances were amazing, but overall my favorite performer this episode was without a doubt Jay, like beyond performances and everything he did this time around was just so, ugh i can’t put it into words i just love him so mucj

having said that, this is Jay’s episode and you cannot change my mind.

alright so I wish we’d seen more of the top 3 outing? like i wish we could have spent a little more time with them but either way it was hella cute and the way all of them crowded into the top 3 room in the morning was downright wholesome and adorable

ALSO SLEEPY SUNGHOON IM SORRY HE’S TOO MUCH-

them naming all the puppies after a member was also hella cute

watching sunghoon go from panicked to graceful in the span of a minute was adorable and i love him so much thank you.

them getting gifts for everyone was hella sweet and just yes thank you i would like more content like this yes

that section of the episode was just overall great and i loved it even though it was like 6 minutes long

he was definitely evil-edited quite a bit in the episode but for the first time i think mnet handled the making up aspect really well, seeing K cry was both heart breaking and eye opening cos it really helped humanize him

it was really interesting seeing how heeseung handled things this episode, it was really tense honestly but i like that they did manage to talk about it and settle things - and really given mnet’s track record when it comes to handling conflicts im not too bad, this was miles above last episode

again, i cannot talk enough about Jay this episode, he was insane, amazing, crazy, adorable, just everything he did this episode? *chefs kiss*

both the performances were great, overall i liked flicker better but i may be biased cos the song is just kinda the thing im into and most of my faves were there

again, imo jay did the best, and at least according to me in Flicker i thought Jungwon was the best

i was a little surprised Jake got the highest rank but like deserved boy did great and it im really happy for him

I really hope he gets a bit of a confidence boost now its what he deserves

i feel so bad for jay because like we know he’s gonna be rank 11 next episode - because it goes by last saturday’s results ): - but im sure he’s not gonna be 11th anymore by the time this weeks results roll in so at least there’s that

i was pretty sure there wasn’t going to be an elimination today and im so glad there wasn’t because i was not ready to cry all over again

ALSO! NEXT EPISODE! PROPER INTERACTIONS! SEVENTEEN! AM I DREAMING? IS MNET FINALLY DOING SOMETHING RIGHT???

anyway they all looked so happy and excited in the teaser and i cant wait to see it, the next episode is gonna be a RIDE (and we’re probably getting 2 eliminations im going to cry-)

all in all, um, im not totaly devastated by an i-land episode?

favourite episode and why: Su-Zakana! the horse episode! Very gross but I love Peter! Hannibal’s outfits are stunning! Will being an elegant bisexual. We get to meet Margot! “How would you do it?” “With my hands.” I ALSO! Think! That Will is more sad in this episode than he is in all previous episodes. He just got out of being institutionalized for a year, having lost his teaching job. He meets Peter and gets reminded that he’s been abused in the same way. As sexy as the “how would you do it” scene is, I really think Will has no clue what he wants to do with Hannibal. After a year of being separated by bars and chains, he’s finally so close enough to wrap his hands around his throat and once he gets there I don’t think he knows what he would do next, but his whole body would be on fire while he did it. (honorable mention for hannibal petting the sheep) oh and the hands! Will is desperately trying to tune out hannibal. he doesnt want to see him or listen to him because he’s right!! THEN! Hannibal stopping the hammer of Will’s gun and brushing their fingers to directly mirror hannibal and clarice in silence of the lamb! I will never get over Hannibal just holds Will at the nape of his neck and gets so close. when will finally looks at him he’s met with hannibal smiling and looking at him with pure adoration and it kills will so bad that his internalized homophobia jumped out in the next episode where he dreams about hannibal telling him he loves him and has to kill him in the dream because its the only scenario where hannibal would stop loving him and he knows that and it kills him.

least favourite episode and why: probably Ouef because it feels like a crime procedural more than any of the other episodes and child death / abuse makes me very sad : ( also not gay enough

favourite main character: i hate all these people but probably Will because im a repressed psychotic bisexual who doesnt know whats going on ever.

favourite side character: freddie all the way. she hates cops, loves drama, and hannibal loves her website and who am i to argue with the guy who has the most taste in the whole show? seems kinda cringe to hate her tbh

if you could bring back one character who died, who would it be: abigail! i think she shouldve been able to escape everyone and heal and cut her hair and live in the twin cities and find a girl that kisses her under the minnehaha falls ice cave!

dish prepared in the show that you would like to try eating/making: the black chicken soup sounds really good. ive actually been wanting to order the ingredients since soups are my jam and i cook all the time and have enough faith in myself to get it right.

which side character would you kill off: theres nobody alive that i wouldnt want to stay alive. but i wish we wouldve gotten the scene that they cut of cassie boyle blowing cigarette smoke in hannibal’s face that sounds so funny and on track with the people i know who go to the U of M duluth.

was there any scene that you didn’t like to look at: when will and hannibal look at eachother im just like “turn this shit OFF”

biggest ship: how about FRIENDships, i say kicking the hannibal x will fics im writing under the rug. i think will and margot shouldve bonded more and i wish peter was a recurring character who was best friends with will and had pet play dates. will deserves people that care about him!!

why did you start watching hannibal: i originally started watching it cuz i used to be friends with a will graham kinnie but then i got bored and hopped off after the 3rd episode but this summer i sat down and watched it with my wife and we had no spoilers and went nuts the whole time it was great.

favourite fic if you’ve read any: We Killed a Dragon Last Night by inameitlater along the two other fics in that series. it’s absolutely devastating and im a sucker for time travel / groundhog day kinda stuff and dark will!! it’s great you gotta read it if you havent.

have you watched any of the hannibal films: yes! after watching manhunter i realized that bryan fuller really did all this cuz will was hot in that movie. there was also a very tender moment between will and dr bloom that i really liked. anthony hopkins is also very good at being a creepy little man and his tiktok account is so damn funny.

have you read the thomas harris books: i’ve read Red Dragon and i wish they but more nasty will in the show where he’s an asshole and cussing. i think its weird that none of the adaptations do a good job and showing will has a shitty marriage and has a temper and him and molly were drifting apart cuz her family hates him cuz he’s nuts and it makes him mad and sad that he cant have anything happy after hannibal.

favourite murder tableau: probably the heart but when it unravels and starts to like stalk toward will. i think its a good metaphor of will being terrified of hannibal’s love for him

favourite blood spill: margot and alana killing mason. it made me very happy the whole time.

what’re some of your headcanons: jimmy price has a bee keeping husband and thats why he had bee facts, will is trans and abigail is trans but they’re awkward and uncomfortable so they never feel comfortable to tell the other or how to bring it up cuz they dont want the other to think they’re more weird than they actually are, they both vent about this to hannibal who says “oh gee oh wow what a dilemma” and some shit about butterflies and doesnt help at ALL.

i finished it 30 minutes ago, however, i had to cry for solid five minutes after watching and about 15 minutes to process my thoughts and emotions cos everything feels heavy for me. Am I feeling this way too deeply? I don't know. I just know that I am so devastated.

If Yu Ri chooses to die at the end (idk cos the ep ended with her wanting to live BUT the title says hi BYE mama so idk fuck im getting paranoid),,, everyone will have to suffer AGAIN but this time it would be much painful cos they wont see it coming and this would be the second time that would happen. I cant even begin to imagine how it would be for Yu Ri's mother cos shes totally clueless 🥺🥺 imagine losing your daughter twice!!! DEVASTATING.

Yu Ri and hyeon jeong's conversation really had me crying... i am soft for these kinds of convo with friends but theirs made me extra sad. yu ri knows everyone around her is moving on, she knows that everyone just wanted to cling on to her because they felt guilty,,,, but she also knows theyre not to blame so shes just sad... imagine seeing the people you love move on from you right before your eyes and you cant do anything about it

O K A Y.

I’ve been looking for an excuse to pull all of this together so here we go! NO Anon, I do not think that Chief James Hopper has gone and died on us. There’s no REAL evidence (there are easter eggs though) however and the Duffer Brothers could still pull the rug out from under us but hey.

No I do not believe that Hopper is dead. Although some things can be interpreted as pretty final and if the Duffers really kill him off I will never watch this show again, because it’s horrifically SHITTY writing and im already super tired of that this year lmao.

One - There is no body? We were never showed a body or what’s left of one? We have seen bodies for Benny, Barb, Bob and Billy (and even people who were in it for like 5 minutes). THEY EVEN PRODUCED A FAKE WILL WHEN THEY WANTED US TO THINK HE WAS DEAD. THEY AREN’T AGAINST SHOWING US BODIES!!! Which brings me to my next point!

Two - They also aren’t against to showing us death. Lots of gory detailing death, WHOEVER it is. Billy died horrifically but you saw it even though hes a kid. Bob got ripped to shreds. And even those dudes at the beginning of S3 died horribly? They still showed it. Hopper’s death??? It cuts away. You see NOTHING. AT. ALL. There aren’t even any remnants OF a body where he was standing, and Joyce goes down there and LOOKS. Surely shed find something? Gooey grossness like the bodies at the beginning? Nope. You could argue that they’d be against showing us the death of a beloved hero and a main character but. Again. Bob was beloved and arguably one of the sweetest characters in the show and he was ripped to bits in front of us and Joyce. Billy was a kid for all intents and purposes, still he died a horrible death. Not one bit of that was cut away.

Three - If you look in the shots hes not on the platform when the thing explodes????? like at all? Either that’s badly shot or its done deliberately because he’s just not there anymore? There’s the portal to the Upside Down and you can see a ladder in the shot too, so maybe he either went into the Upside Down or down the ladder and got caught by the russians?? We just don’t know.

Four - We see the devastated Eleven and the aftermath of what happened at Star Court. Then it jumps to three months later? Okay, odd that were not shown anymore of the grieving or the funeral. Then of course Eleven read the SPEECH. Think about the end of it specifically and about LEAVING THE DOOR OPEN 3 INCHES!! You can see from one of the final shots of Star Court that the gates not CLOSED. It was healing but it never fully closes. So Hopper could be in the Upside Down, or travelled through it to Russia on the other end?? Who knows. Point is, they included this line at the end for a reason. Whether the reason is that hes actually dead and they’re just being profound or that its a hint about his fate, its meaningful.

Five - During the ending the song HEROES by Peter Gabriel plays, this is the same song that was placed over them finding Wills fake body, and after all the goodbyes and the ‘speech’ where it ends with “keep the door open three inches” well. Come on.

Six - Then it cuts to Russia and you hear the “not the american” line, and Hopper was called “the American” throughout the series by that Russian baddie. Should I start waving Red Flags here or???? Then again, a lot of people are saying this could be Brenner. Okay I 100% get your logic Im with ya, and for a few days I’ve also thought it could be Brenner. But here’s the thing. Elevens powers. Brenner makes her use them to spy on a russian man in Season 1. Hinting that there’s more going on here than just super powers, kids and other dimensions. Don’t forget that in the 80s the world was in the grip of the Cold War, and things would have started reaching a boiling point for this long before 1985 when it ‘officially’ began. We were never given any answers about why Brenner was spying on this man, or even Russia. Or even if he WAS spying for the US. Nothing, it’s a throwaway scene. Or IS IT? Russians show up in Season Three somehow knowing about the Upside Down, having failed at their own attempts to open a gate in Russia. They somehow know that its Hawkins they need to be in to successfully open their gate and potentially get monsters to use, oh I don’t know, in a WAR???? How would they have known any of this information to begin with?? Oh I wonder. We were told all about Brenner being alive and out there in season two (and we were never told WHERE and this is not referenced again), but as far as I can remember Eleven has never shared this with anyone else, even though it’s completely RELEVANT information. And as far as I can remember (its been a hell of an emotional few days) I dont think were given any explanation about how the Russians knew about the Upside Down, Hawkins or anything. So maybe the reason they knew is BECAUSE BRENNER is the one giving them their directives? Because hes worked for THEM this whole time???

Seven - Interestingly also Eleven lost her powers? JEEZ ISN’T THAT CONVENIENT!!! Because the first thing shed use them for is to look for Hopper even if she was told he was dead. Shed look, 100% for the man who saved her, gave her a home, loved her, worried for her, cared for her like she was his goddamn OWN. Conveniently though now SHE CANT??? Interesting.

Eight - And now. There’s the voicemail message. In one of the episodes (my brains so fried I cant remember which one sorry) Murrays gives out his landline number, and when you call it you can hear him give a message to Joyce. You can listen to it here. You can tell this is after season three, because why would he talk to Joyce Byers? Surely if he was trying to reach someone for information it would be Hopper? “I have an update, its best if we speak in person" an update??? About what??? Why is he coercing with joyce??? Notice how he says “it’s not good or bad but its SOMETHING” and then says “we’ll talk about it in person” (or something like that) why would he be calling joyce with an ‘update’?????????? AND ON WHAT EXACTLY?? INTERESTING!!

Nine - Theres this interview with the cast specifically ABOUT Hopper, the death and the post credits scene. And I love David Harbour but, you cannot lie for shit my angel.

Ten - Millie has said in an interview “ Her dads gone, or so she thinks” COME ON.

Eleven - Again WE KNOW DAVID HARBOUR IS LIKE THE MARK RUFFALO OF STRANGER THINGS. And hes bad at keeping shit to himself. Hes already told us at the end of last YEAR, literally a month after they finished filming season three that the Duffers have told him the ending to the series as a whole. Why would any creator do this for a man they have effectively just fired, because his character died? Why would they tell him? They wouldn’t.

Tweleve - Again. David Harbour, bless his heart, I think its trying to give us HINTS and bread crumbs to follow. Last week he changed his instagram photo from Hopper in S1 to the number 6. Odd. Today he changed it to the number one :

Twelve continued - Basically if he changed it to an 8 next, we know hes trying to hint at Murrays voicemail message and this is a clue for Hopper. Because why else would he bother?

Thirteen - Theres also this screenshot from Cara Buonos instagram where she literally SAYS about him being in Kamchatka, and uses the Russian word for PRISON. (Of course this could just be a joke between the actors

Fourteen - Theres also the fact, which is not evidence mind you, that its incredibly shitty writing to have both the men that Joyce Byers loved/loves to die in front of her? And actually having her put the action in motion that kills the man she loves? No. I wont accept that. And weve been shown her non willingness to believe in peoples death, everyone and their mothers told her Will was dead and she was being crazy. Did she listen? No. And she got her boy back. Will she think once she has a clear head that Hoppers dead? Maybe. Which is why she asks Murray to investigate. Hence the Voicemail Message.

Fifteen - Its also incredibly shitty and hard to swallow, for Elevens sake too. I mentioned already how much she loves Hopper and finally got a true parent in him. Do you honestly think they’d put her through all of that just to lose him NOW? Like i said, its convienent how shes lost her powers at this very crucial moment.

Sixteen - DAVID. HARBOURS. BEARD. RIGHT. NOW.

And SEVENTEEN -Just in case y’all are having trouble with any of that it looks like David Harbour has let sorta slip (my god I fucking ADORE THIS MAN LET ME TELL YOU). I dont know how reliable this is mind you because its not coming from a BIG source, but HERE he hints at knowing who the American is, after telling everyone else (see the interview above ^^) that he doesnt know and he cant say anything.

‘During an interview with David Harbour, I attempted to delicately get around the fate of Jim Hopper. Harbour, however, came right out and gave it to me straight. “This is the question I’m going to have to dance around–” I began, only for Harbour to interrupt me and ask, “The ending?” “Right,” I said. “Is there a way you can talk about the future of Hopper without…” I trailed off here, only for Harbour to ask: “Well, did you see the post-credits scene?”I had, of course. And so I straight-up asked: is that Hopper behind the door? According to Harbour, that’s the most likely scenario. Throughout the season, the main Russian baddie refers to Hopper as “the American”, and having another Russian refer to the mysterious prisoner in the same way was the big giveaway.Of course, knowing that Hopper is alive, and knowing how he survived and ended up in Russia, are two different things. We’ll have to wait for season 4 to get that answer. And we’ll have to wait to see how things unfold from there. ‧͙⁺˚*·༓☾ i have.... a lot of thoughts so i’ll put post of them below the cut but i DO want to bring up one thing loud and clear so y’all can help me sort this out.

i was SO happy to see the emh again. that man is baby and i’d do anything for him. but anyway i was watching the episode with captions and i caught this:

emil??? EMIL?????? is that his fucking NAME??? why are we giving him a name NOW? he’s been in two episodes already and y’all didn’t give him a fucking name!! we already named him diego, for fuck’s sake!!!

soooo idk what to do with this. i’m unfortunately the kind of person who likes to take the little bits of canon that we’re actually given and use them but i’m conflicted over this one. what do y’all think because i don’t wanna make this decision by myself.

anyway. the rest of my thoughts are below.

- okay. let’s start with the obvious. it wasn’t even 8am when i got to hugh’s death and my roommate was still asleep and here i am hunched over my computer sobbing uncontrollably. so eventually i had to just get up and go sit on the floor of the living room where i cried for pretty much 10 minutes straight. i really couldn’t let go of it for the rest of the episode tho so i think it’s a good thing that we saw will and deanna before it happened. i wouldn’t have been able to appreciate them at all and i was SO excited it was all i could talk about all week. i need more time to process this i think. mostly i’m angry that it was so senseless. the shock value did exactly what they wanted it to but im still furious. or i will be once i move past the initial grieving. i just feel.... really really empty inside.

- his earlier moments with elnor were good. seeing him hold his ground was incredible and him mourning the xb was devastating and i didn’t even know what was coming. also i have to mention what he said right before he died. i dont even remember the exact words, something about having foolish hope again and thanking elnor for it and ok im crying again so im gonna stop talking about him lol

- seeing will and deanna was great though! i love them and their daughter. i was glad at how much jean-luc got called the fuck out. especially deanna just saying that he’s not acting how he used to and telling him to basically shape up and be the captain. omg when soji pushed jean-luc and he fell into will and then will went absolutely feral??? iconic. gay legends only. i do love them so much and im mad that everything with hugh had to spoil it.

- i despise narissa with everything in me. i already hated her but none of it was personal until this episode. and narek, even tho this didnt directly involve him, is a bastard and nothing that he does ever again no matter any redemption they try to give him, will make me forgive him or like him or feel for him.

- im glad we got to see what commodore oh did to agnes. i was expecting more direct manipulation/control rather than just convincing her that this was the right thing to do. it did make me super pissed off at her for just being sad and eating cake. but holy fuck i didn’t expect her to try and kill herself??? im glad the emh got to her before she died but now she’s in a coma and it seems like next episode she’ll be up and talking so thats a relief but there’s a little part of me that’s angry she got to live and hugh died. i know they’re not connected in any way but yeah.

- still on the train of thought with agnes and the emh... god i cant wait to write ANOTHER fic now addressing this, and the fact that he nearly had another person die on his watch (and how grateful he probably is that he managed to save her).

- i still miss hugh. i think i’m going to miss hugh for the rest of my life. if yondu’s death still shakes me all these years later, this is going to be even worse. i’m sorry my baby boy, you deserved so much better. rest easy.

UPDATE: - so it’s been about 10 hours now and i’m still not okay, but since then, they released that video of del arco talking about hugh’s arc and his death and i’m still incredibly unhappy BUT i was relieved to know that he felt good about the way his story ended. it makes it a little easier to accept. but it did make me start crying like a baby again.

What made you go vegan originally?

Well I was vegetarian after being basically woken up to the truth. I was quite naive and sheltered I guess? Maybe cos I saw cows grazing outside my window we lived next to a small farm and all I ever saw was animals grazing never saw anyone take them away from the field outside my window.Then honestly by this point I was 18 when I went vegetarian. at 15ish I had been seeing doctors I saw 3 different ones I was underweight the dentist thought I was bulimic due to the damage on the back of my teeth from throwing up so much. I complained that when I even try to drink cups of tea I’d often lose the ability to swallow. It didnt effect breathing or anything just I couldnt swallow properly.They said there is nothing for it. Its IBS by the time I saw the 3rd Doctor. When I went vegetarian for the animals some of my symptoms improved I later found out my mum was intolerant to meat and so am I. However when I went to university I went vegetarian the summer before uni started.I ended up eating more junk food and more cheese based foods. At home not by any conscious means but I guess i was eating no where near as much dairy as at uni. I was getting so sick then one day I looked up milk allergies and how they diagnose it. I found out they get you to go dairy free for just over a month the time required for your body to completely get rid of all dairy traces and then they reintroduce it. I didnt exactly plan to reintroduce it as I was eating plant based for just over a month when we went away on holiday to bruge now this was around 5 years ago. They barely understood vegetarian let alone vegan. One day I gave up after literally a few hours finding some where to eat. I ate a bite of cheese pasta and felt light headed dizzy and was wheezing worse than my mum who has asthma.At that point it was clear I have a dairy allergy which has recently been confirmed by a dietitian I am seeing for possible celiac now. Just got the blood test done on that earlier this week.Anyways around that time I was looking into veganism just anything I could find out about it from nutrition to the why. I was genuinely unaware of the baby chicks getting killed for eggs or the dairy cows being pregnant continually to produce milk and the calves being killed as veal and such as ‘waste’ products.I saw Earthlings I cried a lot and that was it really. Because i mean i couldve still had eggs as a vegetarian and be no dairy. But seeing what happens to one day old chicks even now I just want to just no...it makes me teary eyed thinking back to what I saw happen to them. So since then really i’ve been vegan there have been two times where I broke this both times mostly affected by my mental health. I have bipolar and borderline PD and uhh I have issues surrounding certain things and I made poor decisions for about a week or so the two times it happened.Some people cuss me out for this and shit on me but I feel like look whilst mental illness is not an excuse when you’ve developed an unhealthy relationship with food due to years of being scared to eat and being accused of having anorexia. becoming obssessed and fixated on calories and food and intake. When that turns dark and goes the opposite and becoming obssessed with losing weight and then you get put on medication that makes you go from 7st 5ish lbs to over 14 and a half stone in less than 6 months.it’ll fuck with you. I was very underweight and to go from that to double it almost in such a short amount of time I guess just triggered that past behaviours in me. To do anything to lose weight. The medication made me so hungry and I’d get so upset I’d binge eat my emotions away. Then I saw Keto and thought okay I’ll do this. Actually my reasoning behind it was because I am intolerant to meat and I used to think to myself if only I could get the same effect as I did when i ate meat. And then i ended up doing keto and eating meat. See meat would bloat me up after a couple bites i physically couldn’t eat more. I had some really destructive behaviours and thought patterns back then. I basically wanted to make my body bloated and in pain and sick so that I couldn’t eat and would bypass binge eating emotionally and lose weight fast. It didn’t last long before i woke up and was like holy shit Erin not only are you damaging your body you’re hurting animals and I snapped out of it. The other time I dont remember what happened I think it might’ve been when I was manic. Unfortunately when I am manic aside from last year every other year ive had a manic episode ive not been lucid Im very much not as aware or in control in that I feel like im almost an outside watching in but i cant keep up. And then even now I cannot remember the mania I had the year before last its so hazy to me I remember very little of it. Last year was the first year i was with it lucid and able to remember it. Which honestly was weird because its like you see yourself doing the stuff except you still struggle or cannot stop it. So its still really odd and because youre aware of what you are doing but lack the ability to often prevent the actions people don’t quite get it its like how can you be so aware yet keep doing it.Anyways I got sidetracked! I guess i feel i have to explain why I ended up twice in the 5yrs ive been vegan going back to meat. But yeah I am not at that point anymore in my life where I have those negative behaviours surrounding that particular issue at least thank god. So I found veganism through health issues and stayed for the animals and ethics. Honestly though if someone watches Earthlings and doesn’t go vegan I dont know how that even happens its so the most upsetting unsettling devastating video to watch and a real reality check to what truly happens.

What’s gone wrong with Beecham House?

Warning – contains spoilers

Trying to work out why Beecham House, ITV’s BIG drama that was meant to replace Downton Abbey at least in viewer size if not in exact tone, is doing so badly. A TON of publicity was thrown at it with the cast appearing on everything from The One Show to This Morning to BBC Breakfast as well as a features in newspapers and magazines. It’s the brainchild of Gurinda Chadha OBE who directed Bend it Like Beckham and the Viceroy’s House and is of Indian heritage, and the cast contains a mix of British and Indian actors some of whom will be familiar from other period dramas e.g. Tom Bateman (vanity fair), Leo Suter (Victoria) and Lesley Nichol (Downton Abbey)

Despite all this though, the opening episode only had 2.6 million viewers making it ITVs smallest 9pm Sunday drama premiere audience since 2015. Since then figures have dropped further with episode 3 dropping below 2 million. Why has it gone so horribly wrong? Yes its up against Gentleman Jack and you’d assume that the audience for the two shows would be very similar but that doesn’t explain the lack of catch up audience i.e. people watching on ITV hub

The sets are amazing, the costumes fantastic, the storyline has potential but it’s just not working.

I should say btw that Im enjoying it but possibly for the wrong reasons. Anyway my twopenneth on what’s going wrong

1. John Beecham is very very dull. Sorry but he is. The entire show centres around him and his mysterious past and why he is the father of a mixed heritage baby. We should really care about John and what has happened to him but somehow we don’t. Possibly because the script is dire but also because he comes across as ‘earnest hipster who has been on a gap year trip to India and is now going to Indiasplain everything to everyone even the locals’. It was a mistake to try and sell Tom Bateman as the new Aiden Turner with a topless gardening scene because he just isn’t and bluntly you’ve also got Leo Suter there with HIS chest carved by angels. For some reason John is also striding around in an overcoat in the heat of Dehli and wearing Indiana Jones’ hat which is weird plus he also seems to be a bit dim. His best friend Samuel is so obviously a traitor, in fact we know he is, but dear old John cant see it even though his younger brother Daniel clocks it immediately. Which brings us on too

2. Daniel Beecham is 100 times the more interesting brother. Daniel, as is telegraphed at us from space in the publicity what with the sprawling around, legs akimbo, grasping a hookah pipe as a penis substitute between his thighs photos, is meant to be the caddish contrast to the saintly John. Abandoned by John who left without a word, he’s fighting for the East India Company the series bad guys (where John was also a soldier). We meet him in a brothel and its obvious we’re meant to disapprove of him and yet..... He calls out his mother for her racism in changing the servants Indian names to English ones, points out the sensibleness of adopting Indian dress and customs while living there, cottons on immediately that Samuel is not to be trusted, has a fun relationship with Violet and offers to learn the sarod to please Chanchal the babies nursemaid who he wants to bang. The one area where he does fall down is with Chanchal who is as hot for him as he is for her but she wants love and marriage and he just sees her as a diversion until he goes back to the army. When he tells her this, she is of course devastated and he is called out by his mother for his behaviour in breaking her heart to which he replies he doesnt know what love is. Daniel is far more rounded and complex than John and we care more about him as a consequence plus lbr he’s hot af too.

3. None of the Indian characters get a decent storyline. They float in and out of the story, a servant here, an ‘exotic’ princess there, a wholly enlightened next door neighbour but there’s no substance to any of them. Chandrika whose initial entrance we stanned totally as she took charge of baby August and ordered around the English women with an arched eyebrow of disdain has become ‘one of the three women fighting over John’ and just no. Chandrika doesn’t fight for a man people! She takes one if she wants and anyway they’d fight for her because she’s stunning. Chanchal is the only other Indian character with anything like a real storyline and its very predictable though Im still hoping that come the end of the series Daniel will ask her to marry him and she’ll tell him to shove it and go off with Baadal. For a drama that was sold as the British and India characters getting equal space and investment it really isn’t coming across that way at all.

4. The miscasting of Lesley Nichol as John’s mother. She just isn’t good in the role and unfortunately her link to Downton was what ‘sold’ it to a lot pf people ‘oooh look Mrs Patmore goes upstairs’. Unfortunately it’s highlighting that in period dramas at least, she cant pull off middle class which is a shame.

5. But the thing that is destroying it more than anything is the script. Oh dear lord its baaaaaaad. No cliché is left unsaid, no trope unused as the actors grapple with stilted dialogue and conversations breaking off where literally no one, NO ONE, would stop talking. Its not that they are talking in the language of the time, it’s a period drama you expect that, its just beyond clunky. The first two episodes were full of characters basically explaining the historical and political situation laughably shoehorned into conversation. A brief precis of text at the beginning of episode is all it would have taken “its 1795, The East India Company and the French are fighting each other and the rulers of India for its wealth. The East India Company are taking more and more territory while the French with turmoil raging in France are cut off from their chain of command and operating increasingly to their own rules. The Indian Princes do not trust the French or the British or each other”

I could go on a lot more but I wont. I just think its a real shame when there is, buried away in the terrible writing, a good idea but it feels like its been fed through a mangle and just come out all wrong....I cant see it being renewed for a second season at this rate
