I use a friend’s Max account so I wasn’t sure my call would have any weight.

Further, I hate phone calls (ugh, I do make them for calling reps but ugh). BUT I’m working and my spouse who’s a college professor is between semesters and doesn’t hate calls the way I do.

First of all, it’s entirely Taylor Swift’s fault (and the fact I hyperfixated on ‘You’re Losing Me’ for longer than I care to admit).

We don’t go full exes here. But we do see Alex and Henry in a situation after however many years of being married (still tbd) that things just get a little bland. Alex starts throwing himself into work and it leaves Henry feeling all kinds of ways about it.

There’s just kind of coexisting, there’s ultimatums, there’s Henry walking away from Alex, and there’s Alex pulling his head out of his ass on this journey back to in love.

The first half is entirely outlined. Now it’s just figuring out the rest of that puzzle and what makes sense timeline wise.

S3 brian asks "when did you become such a clever devil" learned from the best 😏 and they get interrupted by Vance and Stockwell

Overall rating: a cult classic, paved the way for all gay content today, 10/10 should be taught, preserved and studied

Henry is fuming. Absolutely livid. He doesn’t think he’s ever been this angry in his life. The worst part about it is that he can’t tell anyone. He can’t complain to anyone or tell people off for pushing his buttons, because he’s very aware of the fact that it’s not his place to do so. This, of course, only makes things worse. He’s so used to having some form of authority over people, over situations, that it’s very frustrating that the situation he has put himself in is one that’s completely out of his control. He’s never been one to resort to violence - has never felt the need to put his hands on anyone - but he’s very close to smacking away the hands that are constantly fussing over his partner. Henry knows that he sounds like a jealous twat, but he couldn’t care less if he tried. It’s not like he’s telling anyone about his destructive train of thought anyway. He’s perfectly capable of keeping a straight face, thank you very much. “Are you okay, baby?” Alex asks when he strides over in between shots to take a short break. He runs a hand through Henry’s hair and leans in for a kiss. His brows are furrowed in concern. Or not. Henry has never been good at card games.

Apparently unconscious me really loves pain because today I dreamt that you posted a fic in which Brian and Justin were broken up after a failed long distance and the reason they came back together was because they matched on Grindr but neither of them had a profile photo or their actual names so when Brian opened the door for the “trick of the night” it ended up being Justin and both of them went through 70 different emotions and that’s when I woke up. Boy, was I in for a sad realization when I woke up. Probably a good sign to not read your fics before I go to sleep since my brain is just doing its own thing

That really sounds like a good idea for a fic. I’m imagining some angsty and angry fucking and then some not-really-talking about feelings.

I too would like to read/dream this fic. If I didn’t have two WIPs that I’m working on already, I would write it. IN THE MEANTIME… someone else could write it and I would happily read it.

I’m hoping to post my one shot Monday or Tuesday. So stayed tuned for that! (Some hurt/comfort between S3 and S4 that also deals in Brian confronting his substance use)

Honesty hour! Which characters (any fandom) are hardest to write? And which are easiest? (This comes from my great admiration that you’re a multifandom writer 💖)

Thank you!! I would love to be able to focus but alas... I am all over the place 🤣

In general characters that are more like me are easier to write. So Alex is a lot easier for me to write than Henry, bc his inner thought process has some overlap with mine, whereas Henry's largely doesn't.

TK is easier to write than Pat, Taylor is easier to write than Nick, Stiles is easier to write than Derek.

For some reason most of my ideas tend to default to the pov of the character in a ship that is harder for me to write. SIGH. An eternal struggle for me.

Sid and Geno are both uniquely challenging to write...Geno bc of his speech patterns and Sid bc he is a weird little freak of a man (affectionate). Honestly this is probably why I haven't written more of these two...it takes a lot of work to figure out their headspace and speech patterns.

Well here we are, the first WIP Wednesday of 2023. Thank you to @getmehighonmagic and @firenati0n for the tags.

Have some new words from my hockey fic, titled Love on the Fly:

“There was absolutely room on that door!” Alex says, voice rising. He drops his keys, phone, and wallet onto the top shelf of the locker and reaches behind his head to grab the collar of his shirt, tugging it off perhaps more vehemently than he intends to, messing up his already unruly curls. Beside him, Henry tugs his shirt off and folds it neatly. “You are the thistle in the tender and sensitive arse crack of my life, have I told you that?” Alex smirks proudly for just a moment before plunging headfirst back into the debate at hand as he toes off his shoes. “There was room on the door. Yes or no?” Henry pinches the bridge of his nose before letting out a resigned sigh. “It doesn’t matter whether or not there was room on the door, it likely wouldn’t have supported the weight of them and then they’d have both died in the Atlantic.” Alex notices that several of their teammates are now listening as they pull on their practice gear, invested in the outcome of this conversation. “But I wasn’t asking if the door would support the weight. I asked if there was room for Jack on the door with Rose. So you concede the point that there was room for them both.” Henry never gets to answer as Coach Luna walks out of his office. “Alright, alright.” Coach Luna turns his attention to Alex and Henry. “Ladies, you’re both pretty.”
