I’m two Xanax in and I’m still ready to fight. Fight the parents who make shitty comments about the parking lot being full of Muslims celebrating Ramadan and fight the mosque attendees for parking on the only driveway to the shared parking lot. I’m in a fighting mood.

could you write about where you're fez gf and the episode where mouse shows up with the fentanyl but it's you instead of rue? love your writting btw!! <3
thank you :) i hope you like this!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were on the couch watching TV when Fez's phone started ringing. He went silent the second he saw it was Mouse. This was the first time you were gonna be present on a deal and it freaked him the fuck out.
"Yo, Ash! Get the money!" Fez shouted down the hall as he walked towards you, who was completely unaware. He took a deep breath and walked around the couch, grabbing the remote to turn off the TV while he sat down on the coffee table.
"Hey, wha- why would you turn it off? I was watching that." You chuckled but quickly frowned when you saw his worried expression.
"Mouse is comin' any minute now. I need you to sit here and stay quiet, okay?" Fez whispered and placed his hand on your knee. You nodded slowly, not trusting your voice in the moment.
"If he asks for your name and shit like that, you answer." He continued and you nodded again.
"Everything goes well, he'll be outta here real quick. I won't let him hurt you, ma." Fezco whispered, cupping your cheek as you looked at him with watery eyes.
You were about to speak when a loud knock came from the front door. Mouse was there. Fez tapped you on the knee before standing up to grab the bag from Ash.
"Go open up." He ordered and opened the bag before placing it on the dinning room table. You stayed fidgeting with your fingers, imagining every scenario possible.
A manly voice filled the house and heavy footsteps neared the living room. Mouse always expected an empty house which is why he was taken by surprise when he saw you on the couch.
“So, this your little bitch?” He asked, leaning down behind you.
“Nah, bruh. That’s my girl.” Fez answered, sitting down across from you. Mouse walked around the couch and kneeled in front of you, extending his hnad for you to shake.
“Well, hello, there.” He said and pulled your hand towards his lips to kiss it. “My name is Mouse. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Fez looked at the whole thing, wanting nothing but to shoot him in the head for touching you. Your eyes drifted to him and remained quiet as Mouse moved to the dining room again.
“Yo, Custer, toss me that bag.” The man asked before continuing. “All right, check it. I got 100 OP-OC 80s, 500 Xanny bars, 500 20s of Addy..”
Your eyes widen as you heard the long list of drugs. You looked at Fez in fear as your hands shook on your lap. Just breath he mouthed at you and you nodded. Your head drifted to the side to see Ash standing against the wall, looking at everything unfold. Custer began to mumble numbers as he counted the amount in his head and-
“7,750.” The guys said breaking your stance. You turned back to Fez to see him scutching forward on the couch as he reached into his pocket.
“Here.” Fez threw a paper bag towards Mouse.
“Sure you don’t want no Fentanyl?”
“Nah, man, I’m cool off that shit. There's too many ODs, and I don’t want the heat.” The redhead replied.
“How about you? You ever tried Fentanyl?” Mouse asked, standing next to you.
“No.” You whispered.
“No, she’s good, bruh.” Fez tried to interject. Mouse sat next to you and tucked away the hair from your shoulder.
“Gonna let him talk for you?” He whispered, leaning close to you.
“I-I don’t know.” You shook your head, looking up at Fez in panic.
“Don’t look at him. Look at me.” Mouse said sternly causing you to turn to him. “You ever try it?”
You shook your head as his hand went to you hair once again.
“Yo, for real, bruh. I don’t want her fucking with that shit.” Fez said with gritted teeth, feeling anger course through him. Mouse ignored the redhead and scutched closer to you, still playing with your hair.
“You know that feeling when you come so hard that you can’t hear or feel shit?” He asked. “You like that feeling?”
“Yeah.” You whispered.
“Well, shit. You gonna love this.” Mouse dug his hand into the pocket of his jacket and pulled out a knife while the other held the drug. The tip of the metal scooped up a drop of the Fentanyl and brought it close to your mouth.
“I-i’m good, actually.”
"What, you don't trust me?" He asked, getting defensive, making you lean back a bit.
"Yo, for real, man. She's good." Fez spoke, sensing your fear.
"Shut the fuck up, bitch. Ain't nobody talkin' to you." Mouse said harshly, keeping his eyes on you. "Tell your little boyfriend I'm not talking to him right now. Tell him, 'shut the fuck up'."
You lifted your eyes to meet Fez. He was staring with his jaw clenched, watching as the tattooed man got closer to you. Anger burned inside the redhead. All he wanted was to pull you away and shoot Mouse in the head.
"Come on. Don't be scared." He muttered taking the knife closer to your lips. "It's not gonna bite you. Come on. Try it."
Fezco shook his head as you stared at him in fear before looking down at the knife. You looked at the ceiling, silently asking God or whatever was out there to not let you die. So after that, you placed your lips around the tip of the blade, letting the substance fall into your system.
After a little bit, your eyes got droopy and your body got weak, making you fall over to the side. Your breathing was a bit slow and your mind was hazy. Something wasn't right but your senses were not functioning at the moment. You looked at Fez that remained on the couch, watching how his eyes turned from anger to slight worry.
"It hits quick." Mouse said, watching as you fell over before looking over at Fez. "You like the way that feels?"
"Yeah." You mumbled as he took one of your legs to move it on top of his lap.
"You want a couple of patches, girl?"
"Uh... okay."
He smiled devilishly and placed the patch in your inner thigh, making Fez's skin crawl. Mouse sat facing the redhead with a smile before licking his lips.
"It's gonna cost you 300." He said as you groaned, slightly moving. "Come on. Pay up, little sis."
"I only have like... five dollars." You mumbled.
"I said 300." Mouse said once again, never parting his eyes from Fezco as he began to graze his finger up and down your thigh.
"Yo, Mouse. Let me pay for it, man." Fez said, digging his hand into his pocket.
"I thought you was too good for fentanyl. What is it? Everybody's changing their motherfucking minds on me?"
"Yeah." Custer chuckled.
"If she can't afford it, she gonna have to find another way of paying me. Straight up." The dealer said, staring at your body as his hand moved on your thigh. Fez clenched his jaw, digging his free hand in between the couch cushion to make sure the gun was ready to be pulled out.
"Yo, man, just let me pay for it." Fezco said, taking out the money before standing up. "I got the money right here."
He hands Mouse the money, sneaking a look at you to make sure you were still awake and you were. Your vision was blurry but you could hear everything that was going on.
"Dang. Boyfriend must love you." The tattooed man said, counting the money before looking at the redhead again. "It's gonna cost you $600 now, man."
"Damn. You gonna do me like that bruh?"
"Yeah, I'm gonna do you like that. Straight up. Get that shit." He muttered, yanking the money out of Fez's hands.
Fez sat down again, looking at you before turning to Mouse. His mind was completely focused on you so he didn't even hear Mouse talk. He just saw his lips moving as he stood up to leave. The moment the door closed, Fezco rose to his feet and grabbed the drugs, quickly walking towards Ash.
"Go flush that shit down the toilet." He muttered handing it to his brother. "And get the Narcan, just in case."
Just mentioning the Narcan made his skin crawl. Once Ashtray disappeared into the bathroom, Fezco raced to you, immediately kneeling next to the couch. He pushed off the hair from your face and watched as your eyes fluttered opened for a second.
"Fez?" You whispered, lazily raising your hand.
"Yeah, it's me baby." He replied, grabbing your hand. "I'm right here. Imma help you, okay? We just gotta take it slow."
"I'm-I'm sorry... for taking it." You mumbled, moving your head to look at him better. "I shouldn't have done that."
"It's okay, ma. I promise it's okay." He leaned in and pecked your forehead, mentally thanking God that you were awake and breathing. "Let me take care o' you."
And like every day before that, he did.

So I took all of Billie's songs and put them to the plot of Twilight. I'll explain under the reading break ↓
Not My Responsibility - The Cullens just existing in forks like
Come Out and Play - The cafeteria stare downs in the first movie, also in reference to Edward not being able to read Bella’s mind during the first movie (also not acknowledging that he literally wanted her dead in the first movie based on Midnight Sun)
When I Was Older - Edward’s transformation to a vampire with a nod to his human life
My Strange Addiction - Charlie describing his entanglement with Carlisle to Billy Black 😂😂😂 (the power of this one??? Woah)
Bury a Friend - when Edward is like “say it, out loud. Say it!” Cause he’s like “what the fuck how do you know so much.” Another re-up on the “I’m a killer” speech.
When the Party’s Over - Edward and his “I’m a killer”™️. Edward saying he’s a killer is the exact same as Jughead’s “I’m a weirdo” speech tbh
OverHeated - Bella not giving a fuck about Edwards "I'm a killer"™️ bullshit
Lost Cause - when Bella had to be mean to Charlie to leave
Everybody Dies - Bella while James' venom is changing her
Oxytocin - Victoria snapping after the Cullens kill James and she makes it her goal to hunt Bella and kill her
Lovely - Their tension throughout the whole first movie, as well as any and all scenes where they stare at each other in The Field™️
Bored - Bella during ✨October✨, ✨November✨, ✨December✨
Male Fantasy - Also Bella during ✨October✨, ✨November✨, ✨December✨
My Boy - Bella during Edwards absence in New Moon
Your Power - Jacob's thoughts about Edward in regards to Bella while he's disappeared in New Moon ("You ruined her in a year, don't act like it was hard" like HELLO???)
Six Feet Under - Edward’s perspective of him leaving her. ESPECIALLY the line “how can you die carelessly” in reference to her wanting to be a vampire and him being MUY not chill with it
I Didn’t Change My Number - Jacob when he first joins the pack and is mad at Bella for not fucking him and choosing a bloodsucker™️
ilomilo - the brief window where Edward thinks Bella’s dead
Listen Before I Go - Edward when he thinks Bella’s dead cause he tried to kill himself by flashing humans
All the Good Girls Go to Hell - Edwards perspective on Vampirism™️ because he’s “eternally damned” or something
You Should See Me in a Crown - Rosalie just after turning and getting that good good revenge
My Future - Bella realizing she’s decided to turn and would have to move away from forks (cause y’know, the whole not aging sitch)
Party Favor - Jacob during his wolfy brood in Eclipse cause Bella wouldn’t fuck him. With some parts from Bella’s perspective because he was just whole ass ignoring her signals of wanting to only be friends
Happier Than Ever - The weird back and forth when Jacob and Bella kiss in Eclipse 🫤
8 - Jacob because Bella won’t fuck him™️™️™️ (when he dips in Eclipse, cause he’s an asshole in Eclipse)
Bitches Broken Hearts - Jacob during Eclipse
Everything I Wanted - Edward is the one “dreaming of everything he wanted”, that being that Bella won’t turn and will live a long, happy human life. BUT the lines outside of that are Bella being like “okay, but I wanna be with you forever” and the chorus is Edward @ Bella until the “if I could change the way that you see yourself” bit, that’s Bella’s response (I may as well just fucking color code cause omg)
I Love You - all the back and forth between Edward and Bella for the first like 2-3 movies cause god forbid anyone be direct in their feelings
No Time To Die - Victoria’s perspective of James’ murder and the growing anger (BITCH THE POWER OF THIS ONE WOW)
Watch - how Jacob wished Bella would feel about Edward
Wish You Were Gay - Jacob because he can’t understand why Bella won’t fuck him and he’s a Pencil Dick Piss Baby™️ about it
Xanny - Jacob @ the Cullens because he just can’t fathom why Bella would choose them over him (comparing the Cullens to drugs lmao)
Getting Older - Bella reflecting on her high school friends now that she’s a vampire and can’t talk to them anymore
Halley’s Comet - Bella now that she’s a vampire and has to not speak to her family ever again (specifically her mom)
Billie Bossa Nova - Edward's inner turmoil with wanting Bella but not wanting to taint her with his sinner lifestyle™️
Therefore I Am - Jacob when he has to help the Cullens against Aro and his "witnesses" but he's actively mad at them and only doing it for Bella and Renesmee lmao
Goldwing - Bella hiding/protecting Renesmee from the Volturri
NDA - Renesmee type beat lmao

For Your Information...
I will be looking through your Project Proposals with you the first day back
Do not expect to be involved with any practical work if you are not completely up to date with your WIX blogging so far
There will be a hefty action plan that will need to be written that Monday also after we organise rehearsals
With that in mind, I have listed the proposed songs so far below, starting with the ones from the pitch groups
Proposed songs so far…
Its a Sin
Are You looking at Me One
So What
I Love Rock and Roll
Androgyny Original?
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Are you looking at me The WhO
Doll Parts
Good Vibrations
The Pretender
Stay With Me
Xanny
Enter Sandman
Its Do or Die (original)
Lanthums Sad Face Baby  George Jude Jake Hannah Martha
My Generation George Jude Jake Sam l2
Freebird Ben Tom Charlie, Danny Jude Sam L2 George
TV Harry Leo (could add more instruments)
Jealous Macy Harry (could add, bass, organ, strings, bvs
Mayonnaise Jake, Ben, Liv, Charlie. (Add acoustic)
Breed Ben Jake Charlie, Liv (bvs?)
Holiday Jess, Erin, Alessia, Sam, Leo, Emily, Jayden
Teenage Fantasy Jotja Smith,  Piano (Ruben) add bass/drum pad
My Hero, Jude, Konah, Ben, Liv, Jake Tom
I Hate everything About you.   Alf Joe Danny Sam Lex Brook
26 and 24 Joe Martha  (add full band)
Better Strangers Tom, Jake
If we played full versions of all of these songs in the show, then there would already only be room for around 3 more to be added! (there was 25 songs at your last show)
So, important question
Are there any we want to take off of this list straight away?
Bare in mind that we need songs to hit the different emotions strongly and in different ways
If songs are similar in this respect then the strongest at encapsulating the emotion will be the ones that make it into the show. (Choosing songs because you like them with tenuous links to the theme is not the way to get material in)
If not then for the time being we need to work only on the songs above and on songs suggested by those that are in the least number on this list, (making sure we choose material that will fit into the category’s that have the fewest songs)
Remember that all songs are auditioning for a place and can be recast :
To make sure they are performed at their best
To spread the number of songs each of you are in, more evenly
or because people are not attending/keeping up with the WIX blogging

MY TAKE: 1,300 WORDS ON JAY ELECTRONICA’s ‘A WRITTEN TESTIMONY’
Tumblr media
After 11 years of anticipation, Jay Electronica finally released an official study album, A Written Testimony featuring Jay-Z who was playing the role Ghostface Killah did for Raekwon on Only Built 4 Cuban Linx.
Jay-Z was the co-star; the Scottie Pippen to Michael Jordan; the one who complimented the headliner, assisting him in a win, and this album most certainly was a win.
Now I make the point of listing Jay-Z as a co-pilot in this audio journey because many in the Internet realm want to say Jay-Z "lyrically murdered" Electronica on his own shit. Ironically, something Nas claimed happened to Jay Z on the Renegade song years ago.
That didn't happen. Jay-Z did what he was supposed to do, he collaborated with an emcee who captured his ear and mind back in 2010.
This was not Watch The Throne, Part II. To say such a thing is to disrespect what Jay-Z and Kanye West created in 2011. A Written Testimony was the overdue, formal introduction to the rap world Hip-hop's resident Willy Wonka - Jay Elect - the man who creates endless wonders while staying aloof. Jay Electronica is a real-life James Bond, a man who shook the Hip Hop world when he released the game-changing "Exhibit C", dated and fathered a child with Erykah Badu, sparked a bidding war between Puff Daddy and Sean Carter based on the strength of a couple singles, the man who disappeared for years, and was romantically linked to an heiress from the Rothschild family.
YEAH, this man is a legend.
But those exploits coupled with several loose singles and two mixtapes were not enough to satisfy the appetite of hungry Hip Hop listeners, eager to devour the sounds of a man from New Orleans, Louisiana who is, lyrically, more like Rakim Allah than Soulja Slim ... and still, Jay Elect pay homage to his NO influences throughout the album (see "Ghost of Soulja Slim", in particular).  How can a Southern emcee come on the scene without having a stereotypical sound of a New Orleans rapper? He doesn't sound like Master P nor does he follow the path of Lil Wayne. No. Jay Elect made his trail unique; distancing himself from the pack.
After 10 years of waiting, Jay Electronica announced his album WOULD be released in Match 2020. Now a lot has changed since 2010 when the original album was meant to come, and during that time tastes change and even the most loyal fans lost faith that it would happen.
Was this real? Was Jay Electronica gonna drop or was this another instance where an artist over-promised and under-delivered?
Finally, Friday the 13th, March 2020 A Written Testimony was released and the internet was flooded with the full gamut of emotions ranging from exhilaration to disappointed (can't please the internet critics or Joe Budden) to a renewed faith in the man of legendary reputation.
Yes, people were pleased to hear that Jay-Z is still one of the best in the game, today, but for me, I was delighted to hear Jay Electronica slay the sound-waves. This 10 track album not only reinforced my appreciation for Jay Electronica; it made me want to study his lyrics; dissect these testaments to its very root.
The introductions to (1) The Overwhelming Event and (2) Ghost oF Soulja Slim featuring sound bytes of Louis Farrakhan speaking to the masses about the Black people in America being real children of Israel; the recipients of God's promise to bless the descendants of Abraham caused dissent from Hip Hop critics and listeners alike who felt the Nation of Islam leader's alleged anti-Semitic comments have no place in a rap album. Those people forget that Jay Electronica is a member of the Nation of Islam.
WRITER'S NOTE:  All of those critics are silent when rappers say of Nigga or calling Black women "bitch" and "ho". Where are they during those moments of controversy? Hmmm. This is a conversation for another time.
Controversy aside, the lyrical wordplay on display should have silenced any nonbeliever.
(2) Ghost of Souljah Slim starts off the album right with both men trading verses, and more importantly Electronica showing that he can hold his own with Sean Carter.
(3)The Blinding has Jay Electronica talking about the hesitancy to release his music to an audience that will undoubtedly pick apart his work rather than enjoy it for what it is. (4) Neverending Story is where Jay Elect laces an Alchemist beat with the tale of his come-up from humble beginnings and hostile surrounding to still being chosen by God; bestowed with divine greatness.
(5) Shiny Suit Theory showcases Elect rhymes over a self-produced song proclaiming his forthcoming rise in the world of rap.
(6) Universal Soldier has both men share tales of their rise from hardship and criminal lifestyle to gaining knowledge of self and ultimately overcoming the hurdles placed before them
(7) Flux Capacitor has Jay Elect speaking on a preordained calling upon him to bring superior lyricism and teachings to the world while representing New Orleans.
(8) Fruits Of The Spirits  is a song detailing the long wait for this debut album, Electronica lets the listener know that it was all part of his master plan for just like Thanos (from the Marvel Comics), he can defeat any competition with the snap of his fingers.
(9) Ezekiel's Wheel ties into the Biblical story of Ezekiel, the warrior who was placed by God to be the prophet over Israel, Jay Electronica declares himself to be a prophet to the children of Israel, whom Farrakhan, in the album intro stated were the Black people in America.
(10) A.P.I.D.T.A. (All Praise Is Due To Allah) is my personal favourite is a song dealing with the loss of loved ones. According to reports, this song was written on the same night Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant died in a tragic helicopter crash in February 2020. Wow.
On this sombre track, Jay Electronica offers lamentations over the loss of his beloved Mother, speaking of how her departure from this physical form has cut him to his soul, rendering his spirit wounded.
Eyes fiery, cry tears to my diary Sometimes a Xanny bar can't help you fight back the anxiety I go to my Lord quietly, teardrops on our faces Teardrops on my face, it's like teardrops become waterfalls by the time they reach my laces My eyelids is like levees but my tear ducts is like glaciers As I contemplate creation, the salt that heals my wounds pour out my eyes just like libations I can't stop my mind from racing, I got numbers on my phone Pictures on my phone The day my mama died, I scrolled her texts all day long The physical returns but the connection still stay strong
Jay Elect later rhymes,
Sleep well The last time that I kissed you, you felt cold but you looked peaceful I read our message thread when I get low and need a refill
All controversy and delay aside, Jay Electronica delivered a debut album that rivals that of your favourite MCs. FUCK Joe Budden and anybody who disagrees. I'm still waiting on Joe to release one record as meaningful as Elect's worst.  Anyway, I digress.
In an era where the word Classic has lost its meaning thanks to the overuse of fans and critics alike, I won't give it that distinction, at this time. I do, however, feel this album will go down as one of the more significant releases of the last 10 years.  This is evidence of substance over style. No commercials tracks. No filler. Just two talented men delivering lyrical food to a hungry audience in need of manna from heaven rather than the pursuit of bread ($$$).
And man cannot live on bread alone.   Peace God. Holler at me

Track 3: Xanny
Author’s Notes: Uh yeah uh this is pretty much just smut. That's it. Larry takes a Xanax and has stoned sex at a party with an OC of mine, Autumn. Smut isn't my forte but... The world needs more Larry Johnson smut. They're both over the age of 18 here. I do not condone the taking of random pills that may or may not be laced with god knows what at parties. Always have a friend that will be sober the entire night with you just in case. Okay. Don't drive buzzed or drunk or stoned. Forgive me Father for I have SINNED. Track 1: !!!!!!! Track 2: Bad Guy
“I'm in their second-hand smoke; still just drinking canned coke.”
The party was already in full-force by the time they arrived. Ashley met them outside, a red cup in her hand with god knows what in it; Sal didn’t come, instead staying back at the house with Todd and Neil and Aaron. Autumn didn’t mind- she knew this was in no way Sal’s preferred place. Too many people, too much chaos, too much everything.
Larry had picked her up in his mother’s truck; she’d almost ran late. Maple hadn’t been much help, either, when it came to her outfit selections. In the end, she decided on a black sweater dress and a pair of red thigh high socks and a pair of black, knee high boots. And to her surprise, Larry had gotten “dressed up”, as well; gone was the tan Sanity’s Fall shirt and old jeans. No, instead he wore a black v-neck tee and a pair of acid wash jeans.
“I almost feel bad for being so late,” Autumn mumbled as she slid out of the truck, glancing around. “How’d you find out about this?”
“Ash. Some kids from her art class at the college talked about it,” Larry replied with a crooked smile, his arm wrapping around her shoulders. “And college kids throw the best parties. Especially rich college kids.”
“Which is why we’re in the town over.” Ash joined in, walking on Autumn’s other side. “Drinks are free for all; make them yourself!” She called as she disappeared into the crowd.
The scent hit her almost immediately, a wall of sweat, sex, booze and weed. Nose scrunching up, she glanced around; people were mainly lingering, talking, laughing. But music played- a deep, rumbling bass that shook the floorboards and reverberated within her chest.
“Damn,” Larry murmured, his arm slipping down from her shoulders to her waist. “They’ve got a killer sound system here.”
“You’re tellin’ me,” she shook her head, glancing up at him. This was also his scene- he was extroverted more than she was. Stormy hues slipped across the foyer, taking in the low lighting, the smoke lingering in the air. “I’m gonna get some drinks.”
           “You, drinking?”
“’m gonna get water, an’ you’re getting something that doesn’t have a lot of alcohol.”
His lips turned down in a pout. “Party pooper.”
           “I can’t drive stick.”
“… Good point. I’ll find you?”
That had been nearly twenty minutes ago. But in that time, she’d found herself a closed bottle of water in the fridge, and grabbed Larry a simple Miller Lite. He liked beer. He didn’t get vodka. Not tonight.
She’d also ended up finding people she knew from some of her classes. But the biggest surprise? Seeing a pair of stormy blue hues a shade lighter than her own, messy brown hair, and blond hair that was normally combed to perfection. Dancing. Close. Very close.
She’d had to do a double take.
Aaron did come to the party- and with a friend, it seemed. She couldn’t help but grin; her twin brother had been crushing on Travis for far too long. How he’d managed to convince him to come to a college party an hour away from Nockfell and dance, she’d never know. Or, well, she’d find out tomorrow.
A glance to her phone’s screen showed that it was almost eleven thirty- they’d arrived at eleven. Had Larry gotten lost? Had something happened? Worry tugged at the edges of her mind; she was ready to dial his number when familiar hands gripped her hips. “Have I told you that this dress makes your body look downright sinful?” He murmured against her ear as he pressed against her back.
A shudder danced through her as he squeezed. “Once or twice. Why’d you think I wore it?” Turning in his grip, she leaned back slightly, studying his face. His pupils weren’t blown, but… “… What’d you take?”
“Nothing- not yet.” He flashed a dangerous grin as he held up a small, rectangular pill. A bar.
Surprise had her brows raising. “That’s- a benzodiazepine? Xanax?” She squinted, trying to see the word etched into the pill.
           “Yep.”
“… And you’re gonna take it?”
           “… Yep.”
“… If we wreck because I don’t know stick, it’s your fault.”
He flashed her a wicked grin before opening his mouth, tongue lolling out. He placed the pill on it, took hold of her water bottle, tilted his head back and stole a drink, swallowing the pill.
           “You’re awful.”
“The worst, baby.” He agreed, winking.
“You don’t know if that was laced with anything!”
“Well, we’re gonna find out, aren’t we?”
Shaking her head, she grabbed hold of his hand. “You’re dangerous.”
“Says you,” he replied with a slow smirk, his gaze trailing down from her eyes, lingering on her lips. “Let’s dance.”
“Aaron’s here.” She stated, nodding towards the pair.
“… Is that… Holy shit is that Travis?” He wheezed, his eyes wide as he took in the sight. “Who knew church boy…” He trailed off, shaking his head.
“All he needed was to get outta Nockfell…”
Larry hummed, pressing closer as he reached up to tilt her head back towards him. “So,” he murmured, dipping down to ghost his lips across hers. “Let’s go.”
“Go?” She echoed, pulling back, a brow raising before realization hit. “Larry, no,” she began, only to be cut off by a gasp leaving her lips as his thigh slid between hers, pressing, rubbing. “Larry I swear to God-”
“C’mon, no one will miss us… And there are plenty of bedrooms upstairs…” His lips trailed across her jaw, down to her neck, lingering. “And you want this.”
“You’re stoned.” She argued weakly, brow furrowing as he shifted his thigh.
“Not really. It was a low dose- you know I’ve taken more than just that.” He pulled back, reaching up to brush her hair back from her face. “C’mon, ‘Tum.”
Stormy hues glanced around- Ash was nowhere to be seen, her brother didn’t even realize they were in the same room… It wouldn’t hurt… Right? “I blame circumstance for this.” She decided before grabbing his hand and pulling him along, ignoring the laugh he let out.
“Maybe you should have taken one. I have another…”
“I’m taking a hard pass on that.”
They took the stairs quickly, disappearing to the second floor. Larry took the lead, then, going from room to room, checking the doors. “They’re all-” he began to pout, bottom lip jutting out until she slid to her knees beside the door.
“Gimme your wallet,” she demanded, holding out a hand. He didn’t hesitate, pulling it out of his pants and setting it in her hand. “If this has a spring-latch or a slanted-latch, we’ll be in luck…”  She mumbled as she pulled his license out. Pressing a hand against the door, she pushed as hard as she could on it while using her other hand to slide the card into the gap between the doorknob and the door, dragging it down until it was at an almost 90 degree angle with the doorknob. She stuck her tongue out as she tilted the end of the card facing her towards the doorknob before bending it quickly the other way, causing it to slip under the end of the slant-latch. A soft cheer escaped her as the door opened.
“Holy shit,” Larry grinned, taking his license and wallet back as she rose to her feet. “How’d you learn how to do that?”
“My bedroom used to be on the second floor of our house, and I didn’t wanna jump out the window, so I learned how to do that. I can do it with a bobby pin, too.” A shrug as she pushed the door open farther, revealing a bedroom.
Larry wasted no time, stepping in and pulling her in with him before closing the door behind them. He turned on her, looking her over before backing her into the door. His hands gripped her hips as he stole her lips in a searing kiss. She reached up, tangling her fingers in his hair, tugging enough to get a pained noise from his lips.
“Bed. Not against a wall.” She whispered into the kiss. He made a noise of agreement and pulled back, fully expecting her to follow. But she didn’t. Instead, she leaned back against the door with a smirk. “Go lay on the bed.”
Twenty minutes later, he had her undressed to her underwear. The Xanax was taking effect, making his movements slower, more relaxed. Or, it would, if she wasn’t currently kissing the head of his dick. Her tongue darted out in a kitten lick, stormy hues closed, listening to the soft noises Larry let out.
He always was vocal in bed.
           She liked that about him.
His hands were tangled in her hair, not pulling, just resting, holding. His eyes were closed, lips open to release those wonderful soft noises as she opened her mouth and began to take more of him in. Times like these, she was glad for her almost non-existent gag reflex.
After all, he was big- not outrageously so, but proportionate to his body size. Bigger than some of the others she’d had in the past.
She curled her tongue around him, drawing forth a startled moan as the piercing dragged along the heated, sensitive flesh. He gasped out, his hands tightening in her hair. She couldn’t quite tell what he’d said as she swallowed around him- some bastardized mixture of “Oh, God,” and her name.
“That’s a good boy,” she murmured hoarsely as she pulled back, her hand taking over, stroking him with long, even pulls. His hips shifted on the bed, wanting more. She took her time, looking him over- completely naked, his chest was flushed, his cheeks were rosy, his hair spread out around his head like a dark halo. He looked like sin incarnate in that moment, with his eyes wide and pupils blown. “Are you a good boy?” She asked sweetly, tilting her head to the side.
“Yes, yes,” he nodded, licking his lips.
“Good.” Pulling her hand away, she listened as he whimpered. “I’m gonna ride you,” she spoke with confidence; it wasn’t often that she was able to take control. Normally, he was in control. But now? Now, he was soft and pliable and sweet and damn it all, she loved it.
She shimmied off the bed before peeling her panties off; reaching behind herself, she unclipped her bra, letting it fall to the ground to join the rest of their clothes. A glance over her shoulder to make sure that yes, the door was locked again.
“Baby,” Larry whined, reaching out for her.
“Yes?” She crooned, taking his hand in her own as she climbed back onto the bed. His gaze raked across her skin, drinking in the eternally tanned tone, the freckles across the tops of her shoulders, the scar across her left ribs from an accident when she was younger.
He reached up, brushing his fingers against that scar. “You’re beautiful.”
           “You’re stoned.”
           “True.”
She leaned down, capturing his lips in a kiss as she settled into his lap, straddling his hips. Reaching down, she ghosted her hand across herself, drawing a soft gasp out of her lips before she took hold of him, a wonderful groan leaving his lips. Carefully, she guided him in, in, in, her head tilting back as she sank down onto him slowly.
His hands went to her hips as if second nature, helping her, holding her still as she adjusted. They’d had a little bit of foreplay, yes- but the stretch was always there, no matter how many times they did this. “I never,” she began, shaking her head as sparks of pleasure danced along her skin, “would have thought that we’d be the co-couple to be fucking at someone else’s house.”
He shifted his hips, giving a small thrust- testing the waters. “Yet here we are.” He replied as she adjusted her hips, getting comfortable. She reached back, bracing her hands on his thighs as she began a slow roll that had them both moaning. “You’re worse than I am,” he muttered, fingers flexing on her hips.
“And how, oh-, how am I?”
“Because,” he gave a stronger thrust, listening to the gasp that escaped her. “You planned this.”
           “I did not!”
“You- fuck- did. Why else would you have had lube? And a condom?”
She fell silent, shame coloring her cheeks as she looked away. “Shut up.”
He laughed, a full, warm sound. “I love you.”
“I love you- oh, fUCK,” she jolted as he took over the pace, pulling her down to meet him thrust for thrust. There went any sort of control she had over the situation; her head fell back as she rocked her hips, ignoring the burning in her thighs.
Neither of them would last long, not at this rate.
Not after the teasing that had occurred on the drive over, her hand creeping along his thigh while he drove, his fingers brushing against her folds as she read out the directions to him.
They had both been planning on this.
Sharp, pointed acrylic nails scratched across a tanned chest, drawing a pleased hiss from Larry’s lips as he snapped his hips up into her once, twice, three times before she collapsed against his chest, unable to do anything other than hold on as he took over. Blunt nails dug into her hips as he held her in place.
Loud. They were being too loud, she thought distantly, but was unable to contain the moans that bubbled out. “Larry, Larry, oh god, Larry,” she whispered against his throat, pressing sloppy kisses against the skin.
           “I’m gonna,” he whispered harshly.
“Please, please, please please please,” she whined as his hand snuck between their bodies, finding her clit and rubbing it quickly. She gasped, her stomach clenching- before burying her face in the crook of his neck and biting down- not enough to break the skin- to hold in her moans as her climax washed over her.
He wasn’t far behind, groaning a mantra of her name on repeat as he slowed his thrusts, drawing out his pleasure before falling still.
They lay there for a few minutes, panting, trying to catch their breath.
           “… Do you think people-”
“Yes, Larry, people definitely heard us.”
           “… Oops.”
Autumn snickered, shaking her head as she patted his chest. “We need to leave.”
           “… I’m…”
“… You’re sober enough that you can at least help me drive.”
“Can we get food on the way home?” Larry asked, listening as she laughed again. A smile curled his lips as he pressed a gentle kiss to her temple, brushing his fingers through her hair. “I’m sorry I’m hungry.”
           “At least I’m not stoned.”
           “Good point…”

Kids On Drugs, King OverDosed, Kill Our Demons.
It’s been almost 2 years since the Fayetteville native last dropped an album and this year, he chose to release an album in April unlike previous projects which were released in December. However, the tradition is still being followed as he continued to release this album with no promotional singles or a press-run. On April 16th, J. Cole took to Twitter to announce a first come first serve event in New York with a flyer stating “No phones, No press list, No guest list”. The event turned out to be a listening session for KOD. Although no phones were allowed, a fan was able to sneak a 30 second video from the event and leaked it online. The song that was playing in the background turned out to be KOD. He later took on to Twitter again to announce that he will be releasing a new album on the 20th of April. Another listening session was held in London a day after the New York event.
Just like the two previous albums, KOD has no guest features and consists of 12 tracks with a total run time of 43 minutes. Initially when the tracklist was released, people assumed that the album had one guest feature, kiLL edward, who appears twice on the album but it turned out to just be J.Cole‘s alter-ego with his voice altered. A reference track, Tidal Wave (just a little reference), surfaced on Spotify to introduce listeners to kiLL edward.
Tumblr media
The album art was designed by Kaman Haroon. It is a depiction of the 3 meanings of KOD firstly, Kids On Drugs represented by the children who appear to be under the influence of drugs, King OverDosed represented by kiLL edward sitting on a throne with eyes that are rolled back and lastly Kill Our Demons represented by the skeletons. The artwork has a disclaimer which states that “this album is in no way intended to glorify addiction”.
Tumblr media
Furthermore, the production is mainly handled by J. Cole with only Kevin’s Heart being the exception as it was produced by T-Minus. The first version of the album was recorded in just 2 weeks but the one that has been released to the markets took a total of 6 months to complete. The Cut Off, Kevin’s Heart, FRIENDS and Window Pain were written “back to back to back” during his time in Tanzania. He also stated that this was during the time when he wrote the verse for Boblo Boat, for Royce da 5’9”.
Evidently, the album starts off with a slow melodic Intro and you can hear J.Cole in the background saying how his thoughts are always racing and that he is trapped inside himself. This is then followed by a female voice which says “A new-born baby has 2 primarily means of communication, laughter – which says I love this, or crying – which says this frightens me, I’m in pain”. This is a brief theme introduction for the album as it conveys the message that life brings a lot of pain but you should always “choose wisely” as to how you deal with it. The second song, KOD, is up-tempo. On this song, he addresses certain questions that have been raised such as “How big is his home now that he is a successful artist?” to “Why does he not feature other artists on his albums?”. Cole blatantly responds by saying that they are not worthy to be on his albums and that people need to mind their own business. Despite the two verses demand a lot of attention, what stands out on this song is the outro which has a very profound message that says “Power , Greed, Money, Molley, Weed, Percs, Xanny, Lean , Fame….and the strongest drug of them all – LOVE.”
In addition, a few days after the album was dropped, Cole went to Nigeria where he performed the album for the first time and the people already knew the words to the songs and this left Cole in awe. He posted the clips from the concert and showed gratitude to the reception he was given (Perofrmance in Nigeria).
It is evident that every song on the album is unique. For instance, the 3rd song Photograph is about modern-day and finding love in this age of information and how love has gone digital resulting in it messing with Cole’s health. On the songs, The Cut Off, as well as FRIENDS, we are introduced to the alter ego, kiLL edward. Here, we see a side of Cole that does not deal with pain well and resorts to substance abuse as an escape from harsh reality i.e the king overdosing. The choruses are centred around drugs and alcohol and the verses go on to address how bad substance abuse is and that there should be an alternative way to deal with pain instead such as “meditation”, which is a bit ironic as the song was released on 4/20 (4/20 History). An equally significant aspect of choosing wisely.
Tumblr media
ATM (addicted to money) is the first song to be accompanied with a video. The video dropped a day after the album was released and it has scenes that resemble the album art (ATM video). The overall message is that people are willing to go out of their way to get money even to a point where they would lose a limb , the same money that they would leave here on earth after they die. “Can’t take it when you die, but you can’t live without it.”
The video was directed by J. Cole and Scott Lazer and has scenes that were influenced by Busta Rhymes’ “Gimme Some More” video. Busta Rhymes was also one of the many artists who showed love to Cole and acknowledged the album. Martin Lawrence took to Instagram as well to post a video jamming to the album and praised Cole’s rap skills. The second video, Kevin’s Heart, featured Kevin Hart with J.Cole making a brief cameo. The song is about infidelity and the struggles that come with fame. The title is wordplay since it’s bringing up Kevin Hart’s personal life dilemma that he was recently dealing with. This is also reminiscent of the line “Don’t make me break your Kevin heart boy”. The video was directed by Cole and Lazer directed this one as well. The song debuted at number #8 on the Billboard charts. Lastly, 1985 (Intro to “The Fall Off”) another one of those innuendoes of Cole’s date of birth, is the last track of KOD. Thus is a song directed to new rappers and more specifically, Lil Pump who had dissed J. Cole. The song is centred on Cole giving advice to Pump ,and many other “mumble rappers” and “Lil’ whatever” , as to how he should spend his money wisely and use his status to be a better role model and not fall into a category that white people want to see him in. He warns, that should he continue, he might end up with a short-lived rap career and be a character on Love and Hip-Hop. Cole’s next album is rumoured to be titled “The Fall Off” and he has stated that he is working on it. For this reason, our favourites from the album include Brackets, Window Pain (Outro), ATM, 1985 and KOD. The album debuted at #1 on the charts, selling 397 000 copies in its first week, making this J.Cole’s 5th number one album. Upon release, the album broke streaming records on Spotify and Apple music. J.Cole also became the first artist in Billboard Hot 100 history to debut three songs in the top 10 simultaneously.
Overall, KOD is a well put conceptual album that goes back to the roots of rap as it bring up consciousness. J.Cole was able to address pain, drug addiction, depression and the value of money. The public has given it nothing but positive feedback and it sure made a statement that it’s still Cole World.
Choose Wisely.
Choose Wisely Kids On Drugs, King OverDosed, Kill Our Demons. It’s been almost 2 years since the Fayetteville native last dropped an album and this year, he chose to release an album in April unlike previous projects which were released in December.

I feel hella bad for insecure dudes. Like try and put hands on me with that dead bolt locked. Home boy called the cops on me saying I wouldn’t give him his room key…..niggas room key was on the kitchen counter the whole time fam. Nigga tried to throw my shit out on the street…cops came and shut that shit down so fast. I really pray for these boys. Tryna be men but have there shit so mixed up they don’t know left from right. I pray these dumb asses find the guidance they lack because no pussy will ever give it to them. Got my blood pressure all high and shit. So rule number one is trust my intuition. If a bitch brags about how much they do for others, then they don’t do shit, they just like power. Favors are that, favors. Help isn’t reciprocated. Fuck little boys with their heads in the xanny cloud, tryna shit on me for shot number 3 of tequila. Bet I’m gonna finish the bottle after this. Dumb baby maddi learns another lesson.
