I think if I’d known and gotten into the furry fandom as a child Id be in it today, bc like most kids I’d play with friends pretending to be animals, but I’ve since lost that part of myself the same way I’ve lost the ability to play with stuffed animals the way I naturally did as a child. So I think it’s cool there’s people who retain that part of themselves to adulthood. I’ve retained those child instincts too just in different ways, mostly in my art but instead of drawing characters id want to be it’s drawing places and worlds id like to be in. And I think this is true for most people whether they realize it or not that they carry these child instincts of playing pretend into adulthood in various ways, like larping or dnd or playing video games

What exactly is Megagame?
A megagame is a ruse game that involves several different factors. The amount of each element will be dependent on how deeply players engage with the circumstance. Some elements are usually common in LARPs, wargames, and tabletop games. The range of components throughout a megagame may differ, but they will certainly usually will include a variety of different sport genres. The goal of a megagame is to develop a realistic experience with regard to players, so that they might have a variety of experiences. Gamers interact in megagames through a pecking order of roles. Typically the player's actions have varying effects on the game, plus they must connect effectively in order to make judgements and broker bargains. The game should also give gamers time to sleep and recover through the pains of participating in. A poorly-cast sport could affect typically the entire day, and even may have a new negative effect on the overall game experience. If typically the game is inadequately cast, it may have got a negative effect on the whole working day. Many players might not know of which the sport has story lines before playing. Within addition to the role-playing elements, the megagame can include hundreds, even thousands, of players. Within addition to involving thousands of men and women, the megagame will be designed to give an intense plus exciting environment regarding teams. For example , inside the video Enjoy The Skies, the ball player becomes a high-ranking official in typically the national government. During the game, the team's leadership is not going to know what each and every other's goals are. Nevertheless , the movie will show how a team members have interaction with one other right after playing the overall game. Although megagames will vary buildings, they are continue to generally based upon the idea that person interaction is definitely a crucial part of typically the experience. The gamers will work in teams of four or five plus will accept specific roles to accomplish their own objectives in the designer's universe. During each and every turn, "" will work towards certain objectives, which may well will include a series regarding events hanging around. This particular means that the player will need to consider action and consider decisions to achieve a target. Megagames happen to be typically played face-to-face, which means they require a large number of players. The particular gameplay will end up being complex and may well involve teams associated with up to a hundred players, which usually means that that will need as a multi-level game. As the game may be more difficult than various other types of video games, a megagame is a superb way to find people involved inside of a gaming surroundings. If mega game slot need a room full of individuals, it is very likely being packed along with players, which will help keep on the energy on with the entire celebration. A megagame is usually a game using multiple aspects. Players can work together and communicate together with each other throughout the game. A megagame will have a new different outcome based on the knowledge of the players. The person can always be in a role-playing game by taking part in with someone else. Costly example associated with a role-playing online game. In the situation of War inside Binni, a game can certainly be made with regard to multiple players.

OMORI has poor writing (Part 1)
OMORI stans, just block the #omori hate tag now because I’m going to use it to vent my frustrations with this game. If you love this game, I am not going to try to convince you otherwise. I am glad you enjoyed it so much. I am glad it means a lot to you. I’m not here to take that away from you. I honestly wish I felt the same way!
However, if you are like me and finished the game feeling disappointed, underwhelmed, and maybe a little frustrated, then I am here to say you are not alone. OMORI--while having the right set pieces for an interesting game--is a narrative mess.
I’m splitting this into two posts. This first post is about problems with the plot. The second is about problems with the message/moral.
(Note: I use “OMORI” in all-caps for the game title, and “Omori” in title case for the character name.)
Spoilers and criticism below.
Part 1: Plot Writing Lies
There’s a book by Brian McDonald called Invisible Ink which is about how to write a compelling story (you can read this great book online for free here). There’s an explanation of the writing “lie” that I find myself frequently thinking of. A “lie” in this context does not mean something is literally untrue, it means something FEELS untrue, unrealistic, improbable, or unlikely. For example, if a character gets shot in the leg but manages to do parkour, this is a “lie” since it seems unrealistic for that to happen. If a character witnesses their beloved parent’s death and shrugs it off, it’s a “lie” because that reaction seems highly unlikely.
In OMORI, the plot is held together by multiple little lies that--try as I might--I just couldn’t bring myself to believe.
1. Sunny’s friends care about him, and vice versa
A major theme of the game is how friendship can overcome any obstacle. Friendship gets Sunny over his fear of heights, spiders, and water. Friendship is what Sunny remembers before the final boss fight, and allows him to face his guilt and defeat it (and prevent him from committing suicide). With the photobook and dialogue you are reminded over and over and over and over and over again that Sunny’s friends love him unconditionally.
However, I just couldn’t bring myself to believe it. The childhood memories are cute but shallow, boiling down to simply hanging out and eating treats. Plus, Kel and Aubrey fight constantly, with Aubrey even physically hitting Kel when he steps out of line. Hero and Mari behave more like babysitters than true friends to the younger kids.
But at least the other kids interact with each other. Sunny, on the other hand, showed nearly no affection or consideration towards his friends. He floats through the memories like a ghost--he could have been completely absent from all the photos and it would have made little difference. I was ready to accept this as Sunny being an unreliable narrator and not thinking he was a good enough for his friends, but this never contradicted. Instead we are given even more memories where Sunny just silently exists there being “cute.”
Tumblr media
[Sunny enriching the lives of his friends by LARPING as a cat.]
Because of the lack of meaningful interactions between them, there was nothing in the game that made me think that these 12-15 year olds would have a strong enough bond that would survive 3-4 years of no contact after finding their friend hanged. In fact, that discovery only drove them farther apart. The only person who I could believe actually had a close bond was Basil, who almost literally filled that trope of being the friend who would help you bury a body (or in this case, help Sunny cover up the accidental manslaughter).
The writing fix for this would be simple: instead of showing us the same boring birthday and beach scenes over again, give the kids memories of overcoming some age-appropriate adversity together: heartbreak over an unrequited crush, anxiety over homework, sports injury, lost dogs, divorced parents, running away from home, bullying, etc. Set a precedent of the friends supporting each other through good times AND bad times. Without such backstory, Sunny’s friendships allegedly giving him the courage to overcome his guilt feels like a lie.
2. Sunny abandoning Basil in the bathroom scene
One of the most confusing moments in the game was Sunny’s negligence when Basil has his first breakdown in his bathroom. This part of the game is player-controlled, which is a strange writing decision because all you can do is click on Basil and various bathroom amenities over and over which completely saps the urgency out of the scene. When you try to leave, Basil begs Sunny to stay, but (due to a lack of player options) Sunny walks out without a word. With no option to talk to him OR get help for him, it makes Sunny seem exceptionally cruel to Basil. In fact, I was starting to wonder if the game was setting up for some sort of twist that Sunny DIDN’T care about his friends, which would fix some of the confusion in point #1. However, as we know, that is not the case. Therefore, Sunny’s negligence/apathy towards Basil’s pain feels like a lie.
The writing fix would be to make it MORE clear that Sunny is intentionally running away from Basil. Make it a cutscene, or, give a false choice such as “Leave Basil? Yes / Yes”. After Sunny leaves, Kel should make some remark about Sunny looking odd, “You look sort of shaken up, is there something you want to tell me?” then hit it home with Sunny shaking his head. This would make it more clear that Sunny is intentionally hiding Basil’s state, as opposed to just being a bad friend. As it stands, it just felt like a writing mistake.
3. Basil and Sunny working together to stage Mari’s death as a suicide
This is the plot hole that I see the most complaints over, but it’s so big I have to address it. Accidentally pushing Mari down the stairs I understand, but the rest is too absurd. Below are some of the “lies” that the writing tries to get away with:
That Sunny and Basil wouldn’t just claim she slipped and fell.
That either boy would even come up with this sick plan.
That they wouldn’t back out of this idea during the multi-step process (carrying her downstairs, outside, getting the jump rope, tying a noose, putting it around her neck, stringing her up, hiding the evidence... This is a series of multiple decisions, not one quick accident like the initial push.)
That it’s not the image of Mari’s death that traumatized Sunny, but the image of what they chose to do to her body that traumatized them. I understand the image of Mari hanging is more dramatic, but they literally did it themselves so why is that more haunting than Sunny killing her?
That Mari’s true cause of death wouldn’t be immediately obvious to the parents, the police, the friends, EVERYONE. (I’ve seen fans try to get rid of this plot hole by hypothesizing that the parents knew and covered it up, but the evidence of this is circumstantial at best. The father saying, “You’re not my son,” is unreliable since it happens in Sunny’s headspace. Divorce is common after the death of a child, and, at the very least, Sunny’s mom doesn’t show any evidence of knowing what happened. The way it is written, only Sunny and Basil know the truth.)
The ridiculousness of this twist is so extreme that it completely broke any immersion I had left. Frankly, the reveal that the happy, loveable Mari committed suicide is a far heavier and more realistic twist than a crazy murder-cover-up story is.
Additionally, it seems like Basil was only written into this scene in order to make Sunny the true victim of what happened. After all, Sunny may have pushed her, but it was Basil who came up with the demented cover up. (This is apparent from just the photos but the datamined Truth Album confirms it.) By having Basil come up with the plan, the game splits the guilt between the two of them to make the kids easier to sympathize with. It’s problematic because if Basil was not in the scene, there would be no way to justify what Sunny did to Mari. So why is what they did easier to accept when they worked together?
Fixing the writing lie: Sunny lies and says that Mari slipped. Remove Basil from the scene, and instead have Sunny confide in Basil which forces Basil to become a co-conspirator and burdens him with the terrible truth.
4. Sunny’s friends forgiving him and Basil for what they did to Mari
Last but not least, the story heavily implies that Hero, Kel, and Aubrey will forgive Basil and Sunny for what they did to Mari. I found this to be almost as unbelievable as the staged-suicide stunt.
It feels like a lie since the group’s friendship is never established as anything beyond shallow hang outs from 3+ years ago (see point #1).
It feels like a lie because this is hot off the heels of Aubrey being so distraught over Mari and the following fall out that in the last three days she 1.) attacked Sunny and Kel with a nail bat TWICE, 2.) Stole Basil’s photobook, and 3.) Shoved Basil in the lake. This trauma is still very fresh for her.
It feels like a lie because the complexity of the staged-suicide is so extreme, one would be hard pressed to forgive ANYONE for doing that, be it friend, foe, parent, sibling, lover, etc.
I’ve seen fans argue that the ending is not about forgiveness, it’s about telling the truth, and I want to believe that. Really. If the ending was about Sunny starting his redemption arc by telling the truth no matter what the consequences are, that would be a meaningful lesson. But the writing does not support that. The ending headspace segments are focused on assuring Sunny that his friends will support/forgive him no matter what. To do this, the game shows us the shallow photobook memories (again) to show how much they allegedly care about each other. Then, when fighting Omori, Sunny remembers these quotes from his friends, which directly correlate to their unconditional support:
KEL: Friends... Friends are supposed to be there for each other.
AUBREY: I hope you can find some peace... or you know... some happiness.
HERO: We made the mistake of leaving each other when we needed each other the most. This time... we’ll stay together.
BASIL: Maybe one day... things can go back to the way they were before.
The really direct evidence that this ending is about getting forgiveness is this quote from Basil in Sunny’s headspace:
Tumblr media
[BASIL: “AUBREY, KEL and HERO are good friends. You have to trust that they’ll forgive us.”]
This is one of the last scenes before Sunny tells his friends the truth, proving that obtaining forgiveness from his FRIENDS is in fact the leading motivation for Sunny’s actions.
Fixing this writing lie is easy. Instead, adjust the writing to be about telling the truth, not about how much the friends will still love Sunny. Have headspace Basil say, “Even if they don’t forgive us, Aubrey, Kel, and Hero deserve to know the truth. It’s the only way to make things right... or close to it.”
Conclusion
OMORI is undeniably a cute game with a strong visual identity, and has a premise that could make for a very compelling experience. However, the sloppy plot and weak character writing cause the potential of this game to be squandered. There are other issues as well that I chose not to cover for the sake of time, such as the poor pacing of the dragged out dungeons and the bizarre, unrealistic behavior of characters in the “real” world.
However, there are a few more glaring problems with OMORI that I have to address: In part 2 of my critique, I break down what may be the biggest problem with OMORI’s writing: the message.

I don’t play WoW but I used to play Overwatch and Diablo and this touches on just the general issues that are inside of Activision Blizzard right now regarding the major decline of World of Warcraft and how they’re losing to Final Fantasy XIV, how if the latest WoW expansion or Overwatch 2 flop as they’re projected to do then Blizzard’s most definitely going to pivot almost entirely to mobile games, and how the differences in age demographics are actually dividing the company into multiple camps.
It’s important to note two things: 1) this could be fake but also 2) the link came from Grummz, a former team lead on WoW and producer on Diablo II and Starcraft. It still could be fake despite this, but if he’s sharing it then I feel like there’s at least some measure of truth in this.
Tumblr media
Transcription below in case this gets deleted and/or you don’t wanna click the link. Warning, it’s fairly long.
“I’m dropping this here after getting chewed out for three hours over shit the chewee did at work so fuck it. Assume larp and let me vent.”
>Shadowlands is a shitshow. Critical response, Player drop off and just about every engagement metric outside of cash shop have been catastrophic. No higher up expected this because of their “we are too big to fail, if we built it they will come” mentality. They refuse to accept their focus on the world being a begrudged mechanic to funnel players to raiding is not appealing to the player base at large because it appeals to them. They have spent the last 4 months trying to course correct but there is no solid direction and the response to 9.1 has only made things worse.
>Sylvanas is planned to replace the Arbiter despite so many people in the company and god knows how many online saying this would be a total replication of Kerrigans storyline in Starcraft 2 that killed none competitive interest in the brand entirely and you can only go “no, no they WILL like it eventually” for so many real world years before its time to change course. Thus far that has not happened.
>The elephant in the room is FFXIV. To the people in charge they are acting like this came out of nowhere and don’t even seem to understand why its drawing players away in their tens of thousands. We have all tried to highlight things it is doing that are clearly appealing to an mmo audience and not, in my opinion, focussing more on mobile game style retention traps to keep MAU users and habit forming personalities logging in. Its not that they don’t care. They just seem so pig headed and digging their heels in with their fingers in their ears thinking all the problems will go away because WoW is “too big to fail”, there will never be real competition and “they will keep coming back”. But they aren’t coming back anymore. Not in the numbers they used to.
>The people making the spending choices know this. The new model for WoW is market the hell out of a expansion pack for a huge quarter then use 6 month lock ins to pad numbers for the quarters after that. Even if corona had not happened 9.1 still would have been dropping after the initial 6 month subs expired to “keep the chain holding”.
>The mood in the company is tense but also very much “its just a rough transition period”. Activision has been pushing hard for Blizzard to release more regular product and to generate more income per user. As far as i know this is going to be a transition over the next 5 years to a much larger mobile/tablet gaming focus. By all accounts not just WoW but Overwatch was intended to be the moneymaker in the interim but once again someone had the bright idea to kill a game casual players loved on the alter of e-sports hoping for another Brood War. From what i hear the “told you so’s” were loud and a lot of people walked beyond Kaplan.
>The sentiment that was shared quietly in private but being spoken more often is simply that the leadership at Blizzard are not bad people, nor incompetent people but people who had to fill seats left when the old guard jumped ship wether they were suited for it or not. Brack is a genuinely good man out of his depth, Ion is a fantastic raid designer put in charge of designing a virtual world he has no interest or real ideas for and so on. They have been taking form the roles they excel at to be put in positions where they get to do far less of that purely because there is nobody left with the experience to do so and the trickle down is a lack of concrete direction, ambition and focus.
>2021 has seen the playerbase, media and gaming at large “turn” on WoW to a degree i don’t think the leads in their “positivity dojo” bubble considered possible. Its gone from people going “This is how Blizz needs to fix WoW!” to “WoW is no longer salvageable, time for greener pastures” and i think on some level this was never considered as a possibility so there have never been any major plans beyond the usual “try and minimise player drop off by arranging releases around competitors launching updates/products”. The official forums being filled with talk of FFXIV and worse “why do we actually pay a sub?” hasn’t helped.
>There have been some testing the waters lately from certain higher ups if we can remove the line “No King Rules Forever”. Read into that what you will.
>There are still arguments going on about the Kael’thas Voice actor shitshow. I don’t know much about it but i know its heated, wouldn’t be the first time a knee jerk reaction only seemed to generate bad press. We lost a noticeable amount of pvp engagement after the Swifty thing.
>The Preach interview was treated as a disaster and there was talk of more strongly vetting interviewers for “bad actors” and only engaging with a list of questions Blizzard provides. Some pointed out that could just be used to create some form of Fireside Chat akin to the FFXIV “Live letters” but that fell on deaf ears.
>The two sentiments right now among the team are either “we really need a win” or “theres a dedicated cabal of internet trolls out to kill WoW”. Right now we are crunching hard to get 9.2 ready to wrap up the jailors storyline so we can get an expansion out early 2022. If that doesn’t happen there are talks of major shakeups coming down from Activision that have been threatened for a few  years now. Its an all hands on deck feeling thats been around to some degree since the “Is this an out of season April Fools Joke” Blizzcon. A make or break deadline is coming closer and things like Diablo 4 were not planned before then. Blizzard needs a significant win not just in initial profit but consumer goodwill. Nobody likes working at what the public now seems to see as “the bad guy” of the mmo industry.
>This has also made new hires decline. Not significantly but the “you WANT Blizzard on your resume” line doesn’t seem to have the appeal it used to. This has lead to more hiring via friend of a friend, to some rumblings about nepotism, and people severely lacking in experience “because they get great twitter optics”.
>On the topic of Twitter we are not being told to “disengage” from it. Multiple employees like Nervig and Holisky publicly attacking paying customers because they got too heated and couldn’t keep quiet is bad press that could have been avoided. A email reminder has gone around more than once lately stating “if you are not customer relations you should not be representing the company to customers, especially if you cannot remain professional”.
>Lastly the biggest elephant in the room is “yo’ boy” Asmongold. The newer hires cannot stand him. They have used terms like “toxic masculinity” and “dogwhistles to dangerous males” while some of the oldest crowd still remaining have called him “based” or “telling it like it is” which has lead to friction to put it mildly. People are told not to talk about him and the recent FFXIV stuff only made it all worse. The idea that an outside element can have such an effect on the product genuinely upsets people. Like Zach is engaging in some malicious act of cyberwarfare. Many of us have point out the now famous quotes by Naoki Yoshida about understanding that players will drift and we need to make something worth coming back to because they want to but some people for lack of a better word see out customers -or “consumers” as they refer to them nowadays- as some kind of antagonistic relationship where the goal is not being an entertainer putting on a show for a crowd but some kind of game hunter trying to trap a large, profitable kill. I wish i could blame Activision but this is a sentiment from more of the younger crowd than the “tech boomers”. Which personal opinion is probably why so many folks like Metzen and Morheim left.
>Before you ask, yes the topic of “wokeness” has shown up in group talks. Its not all some grand sjw conspiracy, people really do want to feel welcome and represented. However the “we need everything veto’ed by people not working on it to see if its inoffensive and bland enough” rubs some of us the wrong way. Like anything in life you can take something too far and lose sight of the core ideals and with everything gone on since Blitzchung it feels like people are forming little factions to pull people in different directions to decide “What Blizzards identity is now” and how to appeal to new players. There has been some drop offs with “go woke go broke” as the only answer in the survey when unsubbing but honestly we are losing subs in unforseen numbers anyway and still making more money than ever through cash shop “heavy users” so it honestly doesn’t make an impact.
>All in all things are rough right now. Blizzard doesn’t have the love of the customers anymore, is no longer treated as an industry giant and while D4,D2R and Immortal aren’t going to kill Diablo even if they fail the sentiment for World of Warcraft and Overwatch 2 are a lot more tense and stressful. The phrase “it might be good to brush up on your mobile development portfolio if we get another underperformer” has been doing the rounds a lot. If Shadowlands continues its stark decline and Overwatch 2 is looking to underperform like its current projections suggest i think the Blizzard of a few years from now will be imitating King a lot more than trying to learn any lessons from Square Enix’s mmo division.

when i was sixteen, i ran away from home
when i tell people that, i still get lectured sometimes even though i’m a grown 30-something year old man but i had my reasons and despite everything, i’d probably do it again if i had to repeat everything. i’m not getting into those reasons because it’s a real fuckin bummo and i’m here for good vibes and good vibrations but one motivation was that i wanted to join a wrestling school in orlando and become a pro-wrestler.
this was not just a pipe dream. this was a viable career path for me. my dad is seven feet tall or pretty damn close to it and i got two brothers who are just as tall. i come from a long line of giants. as i understand, i’m on the short side for my brothers and i’m 6′4″. i was pretty sure i’d be monster-sized as well and even though i never made it that far, i’m pretty fuckin large. it’s a pain in the ass. both men and women’s clothes don’t fuckin fit me without alterations. these sick, sick biceps are a curse. anyway, more important than that is the fact that i’m shit at football and baseball, which are the only acceptable sports professions for a man according to my father, but i was on the wrasslin squad in school and i was real fuckin good. real good. now, that style of wrestling is pretty different than professional wrestling, sure, but i had the technique, i had the skill, and i was also secretly a drama kid, so i had the fuckin flair. i never was in a school play or anything like that because what if people thought i was gay haha what if tho, but disappointed my dad yet again, i was into dnd and larping and shit like that. i usually played a hot barbarian babe but i also played a ripped shirtless wizard in some campaigns.
anyway i packed my backpack up and left. it was pretty rough at times but a lot of people were kind to me. along the way, i met probably the most beautiful girl in the whole entire world and we hit it off like jelly & peanut butter. it’s one of those things that probably wouldn’t have worked out long term on account of the fact that i didn’t work out i was gay until like ten years ago (thought i was bi for a long while but i was mixing up smoochin feelings & BFF feelings) but it was magical as fuck while it lasted and i still miss her every day of my life. anyway, retta & me finally get to orlando after a couple weeks of living rough and then it’s like ‘well what the fuck do we do now’ because it turns out you need somewhere to live. we’ve been dating a hot minute at this point, which basically means that we’re married in our mind, and we decide ‘fuck this we’re not going to be separated’ and then retta gets this situation living with some aunt of an aunt of a friend or something like that, i don’t remember the specifics or how the fuck this woman was even related to loretta, but we’re stoked.
we get there and this place is old. old as balls. carpet in the bathroom. pink carpet. actually carpet in the bathroom is pretty comfy on your feet until you realize it’s probably full of mold and pee and then it’s bad times. place is like 90 degrees in summer and i’m sweating my tits off. kitchen from the 50s and i swear to god i saw cans in there from that era too. mrs. whateverhernamewas is about the oldest old lady i ever seen in my entire life and i’m not sure if she’s actually alive or if she’s just a zombie woman who gets fussy if you brew coffee and it’s not the exact temperature she wants it to be but jesus ma’am it was the right temperature fifteen minutes ago when i made it, it’s not my fault you didn’t get a cup then, you don’t have to throw the whole pot out and remake it, just put it in the microwave like god intended. i’m pretty sure retta lied to her and said we were married and a couple years older than what we were, which was babies, or maybe she just never asked too many questions about us.
it was a pretty sweet deal, even if the house was busted as fuck. we paid $200 a month and then all we had to do on top of that was chores, except mrs whatshername was a lil sexist and i had to drive her around everywhere because ladies shouldn’t drive themselves or whatever and let me tell you what, that was harrowing as fuck because i didn’t know how to drive. i don’t know how the fuck i never got pulled over. i guess it’s probably because i had a beard by the time i was a freshman, so people didn’t look at me and see a long child, they saw a grown ass man.
one thing that it’s important to note is that mrs oldlady did all the cooking. she’d have retta chop up things for her and sometimes she’d point at a bag of charcoal and tell me to grill something (i am not gifted at grilling because i get distracted by more interesting things like not grilling) but she’d do everything else and if you volunteered to help, jesus, god help you. mrs grandmawoman also fuckin hated my guts, which was fair because i was a little shit, but i also have a terminal case of wanting old people to like me and give me hard candy. if you’re above retirement age and tell me to do something, i’ll fuckin do it, no questions asked. if you give me a lemondrop, you could ask me to kill a man and i would seriously consider doing it. i am wresting with the knowledge that are species that are much older than i’ll ever be because i know that if i ever meet them in person, i’ll be hungry for that sweet, sweet validation that only comes from someone older telling you that you did a good job carrying that bundle of sticks across the yard. please, fumblr, i need old people to give me their approval so i can be happy in life.
anyway, one day she makes a sweet potato pie to have after dinner. i was real fuckin hyped for this pie because i spent all day working at the grocery store and then cutting grass and then running chores after that, so obviously i had a huge fucking appetite for this pie. got chased out of the kitchen with a spoon for the crime of looking at that pie with a lil too much hunger in my eye before it was time to eat. i think about this pie all the rest of the day until it’s finally time to eat and then i get a lil piece of it on my plate and.
it’s the worst thing i have ever tasted in my whole entire life. the sweet tates were just wrong. it’s like she grabbed a can of potates from the 80s. they turned. they turned real bad. more than that, there was not sweetness to be found because sugar? no, salt. my tummy flipped and flopped. my spirit cried because my eyes could not. unfortunately for me, i’m a chronic people pleaser and i was at a stage in my life where the thought of not gobbling up anything before me, no matter how bad, was unthinkable, so i cleared my plate and said thank you and then she gave me seconds because i don’t know, i guess it was the one day where she thought i looked like a polite young lad. i look at retta and she also has a look of deepest fear on her face. we communicate our despair in silent understanding. we eat the pie.
later, mrs. whatshername comes in absolutely furious that we ate all that shit and didn’t tell her it was terrible but listen lady what was i supposed to do, say your pie was garbage? no, fuck that, that’s not how you get old ladies giving you werthers originals.
anyway, again, taking applications for anyone in need of a sonboy or grandchild. also taking applications for foxy dilves in need of a hunk to stand there and look pretty but that is entirely separate from my need for grandparent-type approval.

greyson had never really been popular. then again most boys that were in band at their school wasnt. like most schools no one really cared about you unless you played some sort of sport that brought the crowds out. of course grey had played band numerous times at the footballs games and his eyes had always fell to HER. there had been times were he had tried to talk to her but honestly his nerves had gotten the best of him. he didnt have the qualities like most of the guys he had seen her with. he didnt look like a model, he wasnt athletic, he didnt part and he was shorter than most other guys. most of his grey’s time was spent playing video games with his friends or sometimes LARPING when they all went out on friday nights. it was something he knew someone like her would never think was fun or cool.
so when they two started talking about college he was surprised. sure she didnt know it was him. there was no way in hell she would have given him the time of day if she knew who he was. though as the two started he felt like he grew to understand her more and more.. he had told her things about how his step dad had drained every bit of their money and he was working hard to get accepted to college and she had told him things about her family. he felt close to her. however tonight as he was at  the prom he felt nervous. he wasnt sure why. hell he was fixing to go into college and he was 19 for christ sake, why was he so scared to just own up and tell her that the mna she had been talking to all these months was him. he glanced down at hhis phone and looked at the message. it was her telling him that she was waiting for him in the middle of the dance floor. tucking the phone away he took a deep breath and took a few steps toward her. it was now or never.

Thoughts on azula/suki?
Hm, similar to how with Katara, it’s one of those “probably works better in an AU”. Post-canon, considering she did eventually forgive Zuko for literally burning her village down and Ty Lee for...assisting with everything Azula did to her, I can see them becoming, if not friends, than cordial acquaintances-to-allies presuming Azula does the reparations. Or stupidly-competative rivals in athletics, given that I hear “this is the rematch I’ve been waiting for” sounds far more like something a player would say about a rival sports team, that might be the most likely scenario.
This is mostly because I think Azula’s line to Sokka taunting him re: Suki was approximately 85% complete and utter bullshitting. She poked, found a weak point, then ran with it. Guys....I’ve...literally seen college freshman acting in a LARP pull the exact. same. trick. And these are utter nerd children who absolutely do not have the ability to read other people Azula has.
Basically, I am skeptical of the idea of actual torture* happening, especially considering how out-of-character it is for Azula**. Torture is astoundingly ineffective.
So in canon, it’d require Suki deciding to accept amends and apologies from another Fire Child. Not out of the question, given Zuko and Ty Lee, but definitely a prerequisite for anything resembling positive feelings. (I mean, I go back and forth on how much is required? Suki’s enough of a warrior that “opposite sides of a conflict and we were both trying to kill each other, but I’m glad you’re not dead” counts for something.)
In an AU, depends on how the author can sell it. Which is the way I treat a lot of crackships.
In general: probably a shipping equivalent of chlorine trifloride. Dangerous to burn through damn near anything and the best defense against them is a good pair of running shoes.
*Technically speaking, solitary confinement is torture, at least in the psychological respect. So that’s not to say being in a maximum security prisoner of war camp as a political captive is a fun time. Suki absolutely has reason to be angry about that, especially considering she was separated from her troops and kept in an information blackout. (At the same time, it’s a little interesting to think about the backhanded respect the treatment gives Suki. Here Azula defeats another teenage girl, and instead of anything else, takes her prisoner, deals with the logistics of housing and transporting a group of prisoners, and treats her as the same level of threat the leader of one of the other 3 major powers commands and deserves. Like...damn. Suki is the shit, yo.)
**(side note: since it’s much more Azula’s style to fuck with people psychologically, where’s my modern AU where her preferred coercion method is blaring certain rock and pop songs at foreign embassies until they surrender? US military why are you like this.)

So this is my entry for CartoonFreakshow's Wes Weston NG contest held some time ago, they're the kids of Wes and one of my OCs, hope you guys like em! ^U^ I hope you find find the info decent ;;w;; Name: Dorothea Arany-Weston
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Species: Halfa
Orientation: Bisexual, Demiromantic
Parents: Wesley Weston and Matild Arany-Weston
Powers: Standard ghost powers, telekinesis, mild mind control, still discovering the rest
Likes: Fashion, figure skating, modelling, calligraphy, sand sculpting, experimental films, mural painting, spicy food, teamwork
Dislikes: Overly sweet food, getting dirty, lattes, unnecessary fights, lizards, history, heat, ghosts, sunburns, irresponsible people
Personality: She's more often than not the calming energy of the three sisters, she likes helping her sisters best she could. She's pretty proud of her appearance and would not be one to be humble when compliments are given, she's encouraging towards others and would gladly accept any rival she meets as a sort of friendly competition. She likes doing backhanded insults when she's insulted by someone she holds no liking to, but otherwise, she still attempts to keep an open mind to prevent herself from holding prejudices. (She sometimes fails at it.)
Backstory: She was born a human, her mother being something close to a shaman didn't really pass any of the psychic/medium powers to her, so she was pretty much just a normal kid. She was contented to just be a normal kid since she saw the famed half ghost fighting ghosts every now and again and she figured she didn't want that or anything involving the supernatural since she saw how dangerous it was.
When her sisters were born, she was three. As she grew older she took her role as the eldest seriously and she would be caught watching after her younger sisters. When her sisters showed signs of psychic/medium powers, she began looking for ways to help them control it instead of going into constant trances. As an elder sister she pretty much saw to it that whenever their parents were out either on vacation or business related trips, she would take charge easily and be able to follow their parents orders.
She studied in Amity Park's Casper High and had been able to show her prowess at arts and that was where she got to meet one of Danny's children. Mercutio Fenton. As a child of twelve, her first instinct was to go with her father's dislike for the Fentons, so she just scrawled a note to him saying "you suck" and stuck it in his textbook. She didn't expect him to wait for her after school to try and learn why she wrote him that note. It was because of that fact that they grew closer to each other and became best friends.
As she grew older, her love for art grew and she went further with even learning calligraphy. Soon enough she began joining mural contests and sand sculpting contests. At the age of fifteen, she grew interested in figure skating and began taking lessons. This she used for inspiration for new pieces, turning it into stories for every piece she did.
By the time she was sixteen, she began dating Mercutio and was scouted as a model, a job she gladly took up with great enthusiasm. It was the best thing she had done, but one thing just might change everything for her.
It was when Mercutio was visiting his grandparents that she was invited by him so they could look at the lab where Jack had some old ghost hunting weapons. She was there with Mercutio, they were both trying to figure out what each item was for and inspecting it when Mercutio found an ectoplasmic ray cannon. He grew curious and began fiddling with the machinery, trying to figure out if it was still functioning. It unfortunately was and he accidentally pulled the trigger, the ectoplasm going straight for Dorothea who was inspecting the ghost portal. She became unconscious and the next thing she knew, she woke at the hospital. Her father was upset with her but even more so at Mercutio - and his family...again - her mother in turn was worried and had spent the whole time trying to figure out if anything wrong happened. She spent a few days at the hospital before she went back to school. It didn't hit her immediately but when she began noticing that people sometimes panicked whenever they were talking and was calling for her name repeatedly or when her sisters would go into far more frequent trances, she began getting worried. She told her mother about what had been happening and this led to her being brought to Danny Fenton who explained to her what might be happening to her. As her powers made itself known, she began getting some lessons from Mercutio and his father on how to control them.
She had done her best to act like nothing was wrong but she found it difficult to keep up with her modelling and figure skating so she dropped out of both. Letting out her emotions through painting and writing, she broke up with Mercutio and had shut herself in her room where she would try to control her powers in her room. Her father was reluctant to let in the Fentons but had contacted them in hopes that they could help.
At age seventeen, she began getting a hold of her powers and she was starting to be able to adjust her time management to be able to do what she'd done before. At the same time she began helping out Mercutio and his family in fighting ghosts.
Name: Hajnalka Arany-Weston
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Orientation: Undecided, Demiromantic
Parents: Wesley Weston and Matild Arany-Weston
Powers: Psychic/Medium powers
Likes: Online and Tabletop roleplaying, sports, swimming, historical and fantasy films, renaissance art, renfairs, fantasy and historical fiction books, classical theatre, dancing, triathlons, sweet and sour foods, bragging
Dislikes: Spicy food, small spaces, insects, cats, science, being stuck inside, romcoms, high pitched voices, dolls, being late, staying indoors for too long
Personality: She appears to be a tough girl with her constant sports participation and aggressively competitive behaviour on the field but outside of that part of her life, she'd be found to be as sedate as her sisters. Of course that was not always the case since when she was younger she had a very short temper, she's fast to hold grudges and likes to get even with people that hurt her or her family. She's got some insecurities about when she goes into trances when she still couldn't control her psychic powers but as time went on she began accepting what she could about it. She's prideful of her achievements and of her family's achievements so she isn't really one to back down from a pissing contest when someone brags about what they could do. This often leads her to butting heads with different people.
Backstory: Being the elder by fifteen minutes to her twin sister, she was the first to begin exhibiting psychic powers at a young age and she grew frightened of it, trying to hide her abilities but being unable to stop the trances or from her becoming a sort of vessel for ghosts to use. Her parents found out and her mother began helping her control those abilities while her elder sister did her best to help her out with stemming the effects of her abilities.
She always bonded with her father in sports and he encouraged her when she said she wanted to become a basketball player one day. So they'd always play with each other, and if she ends up in a trance in the middle of their game, Wes would just reassure her that it was nothing to be worried about.
It wasn't til she was seven that her twin sister began showing signs of her abilities as well, this led to Hajnalka immediately sitting her twin down to explain to her what she needs to learn so that her abilities won't get in the way of her life.
As a child she had an interest in history and fantasy and had often had some books about either genre stuffed in her locker or backpack. As she grew older she began going to Ren fairs and to conventions as well as joining some LARPing for kids her age. She gets a bit intense though.
She joined the basketball team when she was thirteen and had kept improving  all the while trying to live a normal life even with her occasional trances.
Name: Hayley Arany-Weston
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Orientation: Asexual, Biromantic
Parents: Wesley Weston and Matild Arany-Weston
Powers: Psychic/Medium powers
Likes: Puzzle and mind games, investigative journalism, the Twilight Zone series, photography, short films, crime investigation TV shows, martial arts, sweets and pastries
Dislikes: Math, sour food, pranks, horror stories, high places, Puns, vague people, gum, getting their pictures taken
Personality: She tends to be too probing whenever she wants to get to know someone she talks to and she sometimes forgets to give people their privacy but she sometimes finds it hard cause of her curiosity. She's an ambivert though most of the times she prefers to being in the company of her family since she found that they could at least understand her when she starts rambling about various subjects. Though when someone needs help she willingly gives them her aid and would do her best to give them what they want or need. She's the more forgiving between her and her sisters. She likes to be a know it all and would often gloat whenever she was right in her assumptions, this sometimes leads to people not exactly liking her.
Backstory: She was the younger between her and Hajnalka, though this didn't really change much of their dynamic or attitude. She was a late bloomer with the psychic abilities that her twin and her mother possessed, but it didn't completely bother her since she would oftentimes spend the day reading or looking up various information that she finds helpful. And when she did develop her abilities, she gladly accepted every advice and training her family gave her, as well as the self defence training her dad taught her. She really wasn't against that.
Unlike her twin though who tried to hide her abilities, she would often use hers to help people when they want to talk to someone that had died, this though would often get her warnings from her mother who would remind her to choose who she'll help carefully. Those warnings were sometimes taken to heart, sometimes she would ignore them. Sometimes when she helps people it turns out good, sometimes, it ends up bad. Very bad. Fun Facts: -Hayley accepts payment for her psychic services through favours. -Hajnalka is a big fan of various fantasy and historical fiction books. -Mercutio and Dorothea has an on and off relationship until college where they finally go steady. -Hayley is deathly allergic to bees. -Hajnalka is allergic to shrimp. She doesn't really care though, not as if she eats the stuff. -Dorothea has a pug she named Cookiedough -Hayley likes to sneak some butter cookies to Cookiedough. -Hajnalka just wants a dog that doesn't sound like it's gonna fall over dead due to wheezing. -Wes and Matild take the three girls out once a week to spend time together as a family. -Wes is closest to Dorothea and Hajnalka, Hayley and he are close but he finds that Matild and Hayley are closer together. But he still loves all his kiddos a lot. -Hajnalka actually likes wearing old timey dresses, Hayley likes to experiment with her fashion sense and Dorothea secretly got herself a tattoo on her wrist. -Matild took Dorothea out for play dates when Dorothea was small to the Fentons. Wes would just come to make sure they're safe. -The last time the Weston family played a tabletop game, it ended with Wes being King, Matild getting murdered, Hayley fighting Orcs, Dorothea assassinating an NPC and Hajnalka laughing at her family. -Dorothea tends to stress bake. So every time there's pastries and biscuits and bread on any flat surfaces, everyone figures out her mood immediately. Dorothea, Hajnalka and Hayley Arany-Weston © Me, C-RIE-ativity

Literate/Advanced, Long-Term, All Queer Slice of Life?
BIG EDIT: I could really use a lot more writing to keep me busy right now, so here I am.  I have a lot of time on my hands and nothing else to fill it with - at least not in a rewarding way. Translation: My muse is on. Everything else is... weird right now. Anyway...Thanks for reading my ad.
Currently Craving: Some kind of m//, slice of life, best friend drama and fluff. I have a character in mind for this that needs attention. - This is usually always true. XP! But give me any gay, modern plot and I will at least think about it. Also - werewolves. Something loosely based on WoD, Werewolf the Apocalypse would be great. Maybe something based on the idea of AFK, the Kiwi webseries. I just need things to write.
Okay! I feel like I’m horrible at these things, but here goes…
For the purpose of the roleplay, you can call me Phina (hi!). I seem to have slowly lost all my roleplay partners – such is life, I know - but entropy is only natural, right? (No, really…I’ve been really lucky overall recently, but I have lost one or two partners and could really use one or two more roleplays.)
Anyway! I’m sure I’m going to scare people off by saying this, but I love both quality and quantity. I love writing detailed stories with strong character development and relationships. For me, it’s the characters that are most important. I do understand that posts tend to vary in length as the roleplay goes on – I don’t want filler, but please try for at least two paragraphs every time. I will write you novels (at least four paragraphs, probably more), especially if I am inspired. If that bothers you, we are not a good match. That being said, I am very laid back once I get to know you. If you have a character that I love, I will probably be more accepting of shorter replies (no less than a paragraph) - especially if I know a lot about them already.
I hate that we have to cover this at all, but all the standard rules apply. If you haven’t been roleplaying long enough to know them, it’s very unlikely that we will make a good match. As a big thing, please don't control my character. Even little things can be done badly so easily, taken too far or in the wrong direction. I don't want to lose creative control over my character ever. I know sometimes it can be tempting to do it to move the plot along and there are some small exceptions once two characters/the roleplay are established and flowing well, but in general, please don't. Just don't. It will completely turn me off writing with you. Fast. Talking first, at least, is important. Communication is everything.
Just show me respect and I will do you the same kindness, okay? If you need to drop the roleplay, please tell me. That way, I know and I can move on (or we can create something new together). If you’re going to be away -again- please tell me. Don’t be afraid to tell me if something isn’t working, either. Overall, I think communication is really the key thing here. I want us both to be comfortable with everything about the roleplay, and we shouldn’t roleplay at all if something doesn’t feel right. Other than that, just do your best to create/write a realistic and engaging character and we will be best friends - and being friends with the people you write with is generally the best.
Limits
Blood and Gore: None; realistic blood and gore is totally okay and a natural part of life.
Swearing: None; swearing is a valid and a much needed form of expression.
We fade to black unless I know you well. Beyond that, the specifics of what I'm willing or not willing to write in the bedroom can be discussed later, once you've become a friend.
Timeline
*I live in the Eastern Standard time zone.
*I’m finished school and I don’t work, so I have a lot of time on my hands, but I do spend a lot of time training for three different sports and LARP/tabletop has become a passion. I can still get pretty busy, trust me.
*I will probably have time to post about once a week. However, as workload and other commitments change, it could be more often – or less often. I think the main issues now are energy levels and muse. I’m finding myself needing more roleplays than I had during school because I do have both more free time and more energy. I still get busy - I still have days where I can’t reply - but I would like to have more than one active, long-term roleplay at a time. Muse and energy levels be damned.
*I will try my best to keep you updated on those changes. I expect you to try to do the same.
*I would love a reply once a week (more often is great, too!). However, I totally understand those when life eats you whole and you have to painstakingly de-zombie-fy yourself because there is/was just too much life going on at once for you to both handle and stay sane at the same time – never mind roleplaying! Just try to warn me?
Important Notes
*This roleplay will be 21 plus (I’m 29 now) and over email. I'm slowly learning how to make good use of a Discord server. I may do a forum or a Google Docs roleplay if you are lucky, though…or even Skype for the right person and plot.
*Also! I primarily do queer roleplays. I haven’t found a standard mxf roleplay fun in years. However, the full gender spectrum is more than welcome. I guess you could get me to do mxf that way…lol!
*I’m queer and NB myself. (I love they pronouns. <3)
On to the genres!
*Sci-fi *Modern/futuristic fantasy
*Gifted *Runaways
*School (boarding school, arts school, high school, college)
*Dystopian Society/Post-Apocalyptic Society
*Anything with disabilities included in a positive way
*Some modern, slice of life stuff, where we can make cute, fluffy awkwardness together; think close childhood friends that accidentally get separated by life and are reunited years later and all the feelings that could/would bring up, or a long time unspoken crush that is only brought to light when a mutual friend brings together an unlikely couple
*Modern vampires, werewolves and mages
* I like characters with depth. I want fluff, but I also love it when a character has a backstory chalked full of things that make them them, both good and bad. I love to see how     they are feeling, what they are thinking and why. I want to see them change and grow as time goes on and they process the things that have happened to them in life. I would love a roleplay and characters that I can get invested in, one that will make me both laugh and cry. Basically, I want realistic characters that I can relate to.
Odd Pairings Rich x Poor (homeless)
Deaf x Hearing
Gifted x Gifted (or non-gifted human; think X-Men style)
Gay x Closeted (Childhood) Best friend x (Childhood) Best friend
I’m sure there are more I’m forgetting…but any of these can also be combined together for even more fun! I want to take the time to plot with you.
Note: I don’t really do fandoms, and I definitely don’t play with canon characters.
Random: The friendship between Matt and Foggy in Netflix Daredevil is really well done and adorable. Too bad I never play cannon characters. <3 That’s the kind of bonding and character development that I live for!
Also! Something based on Sense8 would be cool. What I’ve seen of it so far is awesome - though I’m not sure how a roleplay could be done or how it would go. Falling Skies is also cool, as are Firefly, Orphan Black, AFK and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Oh! A note about my writing style: I tend to like to paint pictures with my writing, especially when inspired. I write detailed, flowy and almost poetic posts a lot. Everything has to fit together. If you like that sort of thing and have a writing style close to that, we’ll be wonderful. That’s a bonus in my mind.
Thanks for reading all this. I look forward to hearing from you!

@killersoflycans Emily drabble
It was the second half of her senior year, going back from break. Today was gonna be great, the eighteen-year-old Emily told herself. It was springtime and she would be glad to go back to track, back to softball, back to swimming. She was close with her teams, but not many other people. The popular kids thought she was a nerd and a lesbian, which she supposed was true on both accounts. Though she didn't need to confirm them; Emily didn't want to be labeled a stereotype. She was somewhat girly in what she wore, she just really liked sports, and liked the friends and the adrenaline rush they gave her. As for being a nerd, she couldn’t help that either. She loved Star Wars, her Nintendo and her GameBoy too much to ever give it up.
Though she was relatively happy, she felt like she didn’t quite belong. She didn’t want to be a walking 80′s underdog cliche, but sometimes it felt like she just wanted to be somewhere else. Somewhere more exciting, grander, more of a purpose and welcoming. Emily craved more in life but wasn’t exactly sure of what that was.
She got dressed in her usual style; two butterfly clips on either side of her short red hair, her choker necklace, some jeans, a t-shirt, her pair of Heelys and her denim jacket. She packed her swimsuit, her track uniform, and her softball uniform. She wasn’t sure of her schedule yet, but she wanted to be prepared. In her clear backpack, she also packed her GameBoy, and her Tamagatchi that she was way too attached to. As for the more necessary things, she packed her running shoes, her pencil case, some CD’s so she could listen to her music at lunch, her lunch packed in her Tron lunchbox, her folder and notebook, and her Blockbuster dvds of Galaxy Quest and Austin Powers that she had to return after school. She lifted her heavy backpack and put her portable CD player in her large jeans pocket, along with her Nokia and wallet in another pocket.
Emily went out that morning, smiling and greeting her parents as she grabbed her bagged breakfast before saying goodbye and leaving. As she went outside, she saw a few friends from her softball team outside, all carpooling in their one friend who drove. “Hey guys!” Emily beamed, happy to see her friends again.
“Yo Ems!” one of her friends greeted and moved over so she could sit next to her in the back of the Jeep.
Emily pulled out her headset and plugged it into her CD player, placing the headset around her neck. She then ramped up the volume to as loud as it went, so she could hear it blast from the speakers without having to put them to her ears.
School was average that day, the typical ‘welcome back’ stuff and assignments. P.E was where it was at for Emily. They were practicing baseball that day, well baseball for guys and softball for girls. P.E split up the two genders when it came to this.
“Lame-o here likes this game way too much.” one of the other girls said as she walked past Emily. “You and your dyke friends should be playing so we don’t have to. I mean, you’re on the team.”
“Yeah, I am on the team.” Emily responded. “One you’d never make. You couldn’t pitch a softball if your life depended on it.”
“Duh, only boys and dykes like you do that. I’m a cheerleader, which is far more than you’ll ever be.”
“Hey, cheerleaders cheer at our games. You’re nothing without us.” Emily scoffed.
“Yeah right. We should be cheering the guys, and mocking you girls.”
“Why, because we actually have skills beyond flipping our hair and doing cartwheels?”
“No because you weirdos either wanna be a boys or wanna go all lesbo on each other. Either way, you’re all freaks.”
“Yeah whatever, get over it, Cindy.” Emily huffed and walked off, leaving that conversation that was going nowhere. Her mom insisted if she didn’t want to deal with the harassment, then she should wear more feminine clothing. Blouses, tight jeans instead of the ones for guys, maybe some skirts once in a while. It just wasn’t her style, and she knew what it looked like to other people but frankly, Emily didn’t care.
The P.E coach split them up in two teams, thankfully Cindy wasn’t on her team and thankfully some of her friends from softball were. They had a pretty good chance of winning. The game went on for most of class time, Emily’s team winning with a bit of ease due to Rachel’s killer pitch and Emily’s speedy base running.
Overall, despite the bad Emily tried focusing on the good. She liked her teams, she liked her friends and her teachers were alright. Her favorite thing about school though was definitely track. After school hours, she would always run a lap on the track field. It was technically not allowed, but she never got caught.
Tonight was one of those nights. She set aside her bag, it was 7pm, and knew Blockbuster was open until 11 that night. She’d have time to return the dvds.
Emily jumped the fence of the track field, which was always lit up. It was a small town, so it was relatively safe to be here and keep the lights on. Knowing no one was around, she changed into her track uniform, a red and white tank top that had her school name on the front, her jersey number 5 on the back, with matching red and white running shorts. Her running shoes were red and white to match. She pulled her short hair back into a ponytail with a scrunchie, taking out the four butterfly clips and putting them in her bag with the rest of her clothes. She began her run, sprinting off as soon as her feet touched the field. Feeling the wind whip past her was amazing. She smiled to herself, feeling free as she ran. Everything always felt perfect when she was just running.
Her perfection was halted that night. She heard a crash through the fence, along with growling. Sudden yelling, screaming out in pain and Emily stopped running and whipped around to face what was going on. What she saw barely seemed real. A giant wolf, one that looked vaguely human... attacking it was a woman in all black with a sword. She had kicked him into the fence so hard that he ripped through it like nothing. With him laying on the grass of the field, the woman had been swift to slit his throat with the silver blade. Emily watched, eyes widened.
The woman then turned to her, seemingly expecting a horrified reaction. She was about to speak when Emily interrupted her.
“Oh my god, that was so flipping awesome! Wow, you’re totally rad! Oh wow...” Emily exclaimed with a huge smile. “You just like, slayed a werewolf! Was that a werewolf? Who knew, werewolves are real. Oooh, or maybe is it a wolf from like, an evil laboratory? One that like, had some genetic mutation?”
The woman looked at the excited girl in amazement. The woman’s name was Semira, and she was an officer in the vampire army. She knew that this human girl couldn’t have seen this, especially with how excited she was. She would tell people, she would tell other humans. She quickly approached Emily then, looking at her sharply.
“You have two options here.” Semira snarled softly. “I can kill you, or I can turn you.”
Emily was wary, but not scared. Obviously this was a crazy woman who was really into LARPing, right?
“Um... okay, yeah, turn me!” Emily spoke with a grin. “I mean afterall, that wolf or werewolf looked dangerous, so you basically saved my life like a mofo!”
Semira looked at her with confusion. “Do you know what I’m turning you into?” she asked.
“Um... I’m guessing either like... a vampire or a witch or something.”
The dark haired woman raised a brow. “No, not a witch. A vampire. You’re... perfectly alright with that?” she asked. “Leaving behind your entire life, never returning to it?”
So that’s what the woman was offering, Emily thought. To be honest, it sounded like a cool adventure. And she knew it was crazy, even this crazy woman thought it was crazy that she’d be so willing. But when she really thought about it, her friends were great but they’d be fine without her. Everyone else at school would definitely be fine without her. As for her parents, she loved them but they were judgmental, and she knew they would never accept her as Christians once they found out she was gay.
“Sure.” Emily spoke, grinning again. “I’d like that.”
“Alright then.” Semira spoke. “Are you ready?”
“Go for it!” Emily responded cheerfully and was less cheerful as soon as Semira bit into her neck. “Aa! Ow ow ow, okay you meant literally...” her words were cut off soon though by pain and seeing blackness. Could she be a literal vampire? Maybe. It was certainly exciting to know that vampires and werewolves existed.

Chapter 1? Nikhl and Diehm
The diner was full of people. Well, about as full as a diner in the middle of nowhere at early noon could be. So it was about ten people in a restaurant that could sit maybe fifty with those ten spread across it and most of them being chatty. This was the scene Edward walked in to as he looked around for an empty table. Stumbling through akwardly as he could without giving in to the urge to run away, he succeeds in his mission and sits at a table right in the middle of the establishment. “We normally seat people as they wait by the door…” spoke a middle aged waitress by the name of Jenny. “Oh jeez! Sorry, I can just go wait or-” “Relax,” she commanded. “You’re fine. What do you want kid?”
“Uhh,” he began to speak as he fumbled with his cell phone. “I’d like strawberry pancakes with bacon… An order of waffles, hash browns, and sausage… And two glasses of orange juice.” Jenny scribbled things into her notepad. “That it?” Edward looked up, pretending to think as his stomach growled. “Uhh..yeah. That will…do it… That’s all I need… Good good.” Jenny didn’t seem to flinch from her unnerved attitude and simply said “Alright.” As she walked away, Edward sighed and quickly tapped away at his phone. He mumbled a bit to himself as he typed the following message: The order has been placed. Then he waited. It was about fifteen minutes later when the food arrived. Smiling and nodding, he accepted it all in front of Jenny. Once she walked away, he quickly shuffled the food around, setting the table for two others to sit across from him. Then he proceeded to wait some more. With no food or drink in front of him. About fifteen more minutes and a lot of awkward glances later, two men walked into the diner. One was slender and the other sported a squarer frame. Quillard Diehm removed his hat as Tristen Nikhl pulled on his jacket and stiffened his collar. The two walked over to the table and sat down, Diehm sitting with the pancakes, Nikhl sitting to his right with the waffles. “Th-thanks for meeting me guys!” Edward choked out. “Yeah, sure,” Tristen happily replied as he bit into a sausage. “Oh how I missed eating food proper.” Edward looked confusedly to Quillard. “Don’t worry about it. Hey, aren’t you hungry?” he asked in his usual business tone. “Your messages made it clear to order only your food. Can I order now?” “What?! Of course,” Quillard asked, the look of shock on his face. “Why did you say that, Tristen?” “Gotta establish dominance,” he smiled, bits of waffle escaping his mouth. Quillard shook his head, jaded with his partner’s usual carefree antics. “Look, I gotta use the head. Order your self some food and I’ll be right back and we’ll discuss why you called us over brunch.” And with that, Quillard got up and left towards the bathroom. One awkward conversation later, Edward successfully ordered food from Jenny. It was a close race, but Quillard managed to make it back to the table before the omelette was ready and delivered. “Alright, so what’s the situation?” asked Diehm. “Well, Mr. Diehm, you see, hey are you…more tan now?” “No. Continue.” “Uhh… Anyway, my friends and I were playing in the woods the other week,” Edward started. “Aren’t you a bit old for that? What are you, twenty-two?” Tristen Nikhl interrupted. “Twenty-four, we do some LARPing.” “Oh, nerds.” “Shut up, Tristen. Also explain it to me later. Please, Mr. Cainso, continue,” beckoned Diehm. “Well they vanished as we played. I went back to the parking lot and when i couldn’t find their cars, I assumed they had just ditched me by mistake.” “How do you accidental abandon?” inquired Nikhl. “Well, I’m kinda…forgetable. Sometimes I miss out on plans cause I didn’t hear them and such. So anyway, I left and went home. I didn’t hear from them after that and I started to get worried. So I went back to the woods and then I found them but they were acting really weird. I kinda freaked out a bit and tried to get one of them to come home but she threw me totally into the air and I had a tree knock the wind out of me. So I think they must have summoned a demon when we LARPed and now he’s controlling them!” Quillard and Tristen exchanged glances. Tristen held up one of his hands, the back of it showing to Edward. The blue circle on it glowed luminously and Edward gasped. “Please don’t tell me any of them was sporting this.” “N-no,” he stuttered. “Are you guys demons…?” Quillard choked back a scowl as Tristen laughed. “Nah nah, we’re better than that. I eat demons.” “I’m just really good at killing them,” spoke Quillard. Edward noticed the wedding band on Diehm’s hand. “Does she hunt too?” he said pointing. They both looked at the ring, unsure of where he was pointing. Tristen grimaced and Quillard placed his hand over the ring. “No,” he said and forced a laugh. “Are you married too?” Edward asked Nikhl. “You could say I’m married to the job. Which is mainly keeping this guy alive!” he said with a hearty chuckle. “Look, let’s focus here. Did you see any marks they used?” asked Diehm. “Well… I got this weird burn when she threw me…” Edward rolled back his sleeve and revealed a burned symbol. The laughter at the table immediately stopped. Quillard picked up his hat and grimaced. “I hate witches.”

Theory essay #2nd draft
Tumblr media
In my previous draft I asked myself: “How can I become homo ludens?” Not knowing this is Johan Huizinga’s general term to replace homo sapiens. As for Huizinga’s theory I already fall under the term homo ludens. So maybe my question should not be “how can I become homo ludens?” but rather
How can and will homo ludens grow and evolve?
When we think about the word “play” what comes to mind? For some it might be theatre, others brains will shift to sports or videogames. The word “play” also connotates to fond memories of our childhood, playing with friends, playing with toy cars and dolls, fighting each other with sticks we found in the woods.
What is play and why do we need it?
Many psychologists, for instance, claim that playing enables people to discharge excess energy or find substitute gratification. Others argue that playing helps children to strengthen their sense of self-restraint, to cultivate the moral or cognitive skills necessary for normal adult life or to build up and sustain a coherent ego identity. What is found in some young children that grew up with less play and more gaming is an absence of knowledge on how to act accordingly in various social situations. There was no absence in empathy but rather an absence of tact in decision making.
When parents watch their children play they have an overview of their child’s behavior and actions towards other children. If the child for instance grabs a toy from another kids hands, the parent can interfere “Give that back! That doesn’t belong to you, it belongs to her”. This way the parent has an active parenting role in the child’s growth.
Even though many argue play serves no purpose other than playing itself, children learn by playing with other children. The field of play creates a so called “magic circle” in which can be experimented. While outside of the circle a child has to obey their parents and has to listen to the strict voice of authority, within the magic circle a child can test the boundaries of what is deemed appropriate or inappropriate behavior.
For play to perform that role of a testing lab it has to fulfill an important condition: It has to be fun. Just like food and sex, play triggers the reward system in our brains. We do it to survive, but firstly because we like doing it. For children play comes naturally, but adults gradually stop playing for the experience. What becomes more important is the purpose of the game, the outcome, the gain. While the experience itself is where the essence of play hides.
Johan Huizinga was a dutch anthropologist who wrote the famous book homo ludens in 1938. The book was published in a time when the second world war was emerging. While videogames have only been around since the early 1970’s. While in this day and age; Artificial intelligence has completely changed the world of gaming. Youtube has opened up a whole new field of entertainment.
These new developments have changed the way kids play forever. Kids used to play with toys, they played outside, they played sports, they played pretend.
Kids used to watch television programs. Parents had influence on what programs their kids watch. Kids start using computers and the internet way earlier these days. They have smartphones. Kids have social media accounts and watch youtubers.
While watching television has been seen as a very passive way to spend your time, television has been replaced by social media, youtube, gaming etc.
4 types of play
Johan Huizinga was a dutch anthropologist who wrote the famous book homo ludens in 1938. Huizinga wrote his book right before the first world war was to unfold right in front of him. Notable is that the book is still as relevant as it was in 1938 when it was originally published. In this book Huizinga explains the 4 types of play: Agon, Alea, Mimicry and Ilynx.
Agon stands for competition; competitive games and competition. Alea stands for games with chance, players cannot control the outcome of said games. Mimicry stands for imitation; players pretend to be someone or something else. Ilynx stands for vertigo; This type of play manifests itself into for example extreme sports.
Funnily enough Huizinga doesn’t mention music as a form of play in his book. Which is strange in my opinion. Especially when many other play theorists do.
Huizinga sees play in much more than just the obvious list of tasks. Play can be found in courtcases and giftgiving. In law and war.
With Anders Breivik we have witnessed the first case of a gamer with visible egodeath.
LARP might be the most pure form adults can play in.
With LARP (live action role playing) people have a place where they can enter the magic circle once again. LARPING is the form of play closest to the form of play we would partake in as little kids. This is reason society does not take these individuals as seriously as for instance soccer players. A man who plays a sport 2 times a week is seen as active and healthy. While a LARPER is seen as a childish individual not to be taken seriously. While both of them partake in play, one form of play is accepted while the other is scrutinized (ridiculed).
A vast difference in these 2 forms of play is that one is focused on physical activity while the other doesn’t have to be. The stereotypical form of LARP that people usually imagine contains the medieval times, sword fighting and throwing sandbags made to symbolize magic power beams. While
LARP ‘the most ludic form of play’ is derieved from stories of war. People wanted to reenact wars and. People wanted to reenact the story of the lord of the rings. LARP evolved with the rise of dungeons and dragons
LARP in Finland started in 1985 and Norway was initiated in 1989, more or less simultaneously by groups in Oslo and Trondheim. The first Danish games were also played in the late 1980s.
The first LARPing events were mostly based on mythical scenes, and ancient battles and what larpers call “childhood LARP” which Is where kids play pretend.
Childhood larp
In the year 1974 dungeons and dragons was first published. It remains one of the earliest fantasy tabletop games. After D&D came out people wanted to integrate the rules and experience of fantasy tabletop games into historical reenactment.
After this one might ask themselves, what differentiates LARP from theatre? In what way theatre or even improv theatre is vastly different from LARP is the reasoning behind the action. Theatre is meant for the entertainment of theto entertain an audience watching the play. In a LARP there is no audience. The second major difference this represents is that where an audience watches a play, the spectators will have to pay for tickets to watch said play, which means economic gain for the theatre and a paycheck for actors.
Play theorists claim play is free, and people that play for economic gain are not in fact playing.
I haven’t actually read the whole book “homo ludens” but I am reading it. I will adjust and rewrite my essay whenever I please. My teacher advised me to pick one chapter from the book that really resonates with me and write my essay based on that. I am still struggling to find the right chapter, but I will keep reading.

As airsoft war is close to tactical first-person shooter videogames it is played by players of these games who want to test their skills in true to life, and because a comparable environment to the ones in the videogames is what they desire to be a part of these players and their teams may choose to play with Live Action Role Playing guidelines. Airsoft gun games using both pistols and Airsoft rifles could be played during hours of sunlight or the heat can be resulted in by playing in nighttime conditions. In case you are playing paintball at the Gold Coast Skirmish, which is played by band of players split into two teams with equal members. In contrast to a casual game made for fun, a tournament is much stricter and violations of rules may result in penalties for the players or entire teams.
Concept Areas With many objects set up to allow players to remain hidden from their opponents a concept field is an paintball gear ideal man-produced creation for paintball games. The overall game is regularly performed at a sporting level with structured competition involving main tournaments, professional groups, and players. It is where all players fulfill before playing to end up being split into teams, hear the rules and regulation for the field, go back to when eliminated and also to get equipment prepared for play.
Mike Zhang may be the VP of Functions of Airsoft Megastore, an Airsoft merchant offering the most recent airsoft guns Please visit Airsoft Megastore to look for airsoft AEGs , airsoft sniper rifles and airsoft gas guns for players of any experience level. Getting some field experience in a few skirmishes and interacting with other players will undoubtedly expose you to fresh guns and equipment, so you may want to start out by purchasing the requirements to get a feel for what else you want to add to your airsoft collection. The biggest paintball scenario games are the Skirmish Invasion of Normandy (ION) scenario & Oklahoma D-DAY, both which attract up to 4,000 players yearly.
Days where 200+ players are on the site, briefing offers sometime been a slower process, but with new seating, and a bigger region to utilise, we hope to get you from the automobile park to the performing fields in half enough time! Another modification to airsoft war is dubbed Live Action Part Playing or LARP for short where additional guidelines are put in to make the setting somewhat alike to the videogames where guidelines about the number of hits to eliminate an opponent, armor and much more unrealistic enhancements like supernatural powers are endowed upon players. Proshop, Field Supply, Paintball Games, Player Gear, Team Building.
Conversely, the variant of speedball is played on a smaller sized field and includes a extremely fast pace with video games as brief mainly because two minutes fifteen seconds in the (NSL) or lasting up to twenty minutes in the PSP (Paintball Sports Promotions). Commercial paintball fields normally have rules about how exactly far apart players have to be to shoot somebody. The 1st & most important guideline is that players must wear Paintball approved Goggles/Masks all the time during game-play and if they're on the play field at all whether in play or not.
If you are taking part in for the first time, you may want to borrow airsoft guns and gear when possible to help to make sure the sport is for you. Many airsoft players get started by purchasing the essentials and then building out their airsoft selections by adding multiple types of guns, accessories and gear over time. Laser games currently utilize the existing paintball arenas to play video games, an addition to this will be a permanent inflatables arena, that includes a variation of inflatable barricades in different sizes and shapes over a grass playing field, well suited for those aged 6+. This playing field will become charged at an all inclusive group hourly rate (price tbc), perfect for parents planning childrens birthday parties.
Since players tend to be brought back multiple times during a skirmish, taking part in airsoft with a medic can take more time compared to the typical 'one strike and you're out' scenario. The problem associated with allowing specific hits never to count as eliminations are that players head to other fields with other guidelines and play through popular which then brings about calls of a player is definitely uncertain whether a tag or hit they have received is a valid hit or not, possibly since the mark is from the spray of a paintball breaking on another close by object, or because they are able to not see the area of the body where they have been struck by a paintball, or because the paintball may have been shot by a player who had recently been eliminated, the player should question a referee to determine whether or not the player includes a valid hit. Paintball players must never remove their goggles during a video game or when other individuals are playing nearby.
Most commercial paintball areas require players to wear a mask designed particularly for performing paintball. The most crucial rule in paintball is usually that players must wear a protective goggle system (or "mask") at all times if they are playing or near others who are playing. This limited field awareness coupled with the usually larger number of players causes woods ball video games to generally last for an extended period of time.
Veteran Airsoft warriors along with newbies don their camouflage battle matches and Airsoft guns and mind for the battle sight as military role-players in an imaginary battle. As the sport of Airsoft continues its meteoric rise in world-wide popularity, Airsoft war video games known as "Skirmishes" are emerging on sophisticated replica battlefields in many venues as well. Typically Paintball is played in a forest where players are split into two teams and…
A typical set of limits in guns may be 100 m/s (330 ft per second) for CQB, 125 m/s (410 feet per second) for outdoors, and 175 m/s (570 feet per second) for bolt actions sniper rifles, all measured with a 0.20 g BB. The quantity of kinetic energy depends on the pounds of the BB and how fast the gun can propel it. Certain areas play "no velocity limit" games. Because woodsball can be played over many acres and there are often few areas where large portions of the field can be looked at at one time, woodsball games tend to run much longer than other styles of paintball play. One thing that surprised me after playing these games (even though I've still prefer speedball): I feel like this is the first time that I've ever played paintball.
These results were come up with by a group of frequent experienced paintball players who love the overall game and travel around to try different fields. Actually, most overnight airsoft video games experience attrition of over 50% of players who do not present up for the next day's game. The 'SPRING' airsoft guns tend to be the choice of airsoft guns used by the very first time airsoft players.
youtube
They have already been doing excellent things with Blood Bowl (yes I have already been using Blood Bowl for example a lot!) supporting it, having guidelines for the excess teams for free, getting the Death Zone growth out on the day of launch and gradually releasing extra groups (the Dwarfs and Skaven are out already) and Superstar Players in resin from Forge Globe. Games can be played on these fields until 2.00 am. Teams and become made up of any number of players with just 5 players on the pitch at any one time.
Just about any city has a number of paintball fields, and every province has a number of teams that play at the national paintball league. For safety, most regulated paintball fields strictly enforce a 'masks-on' policy, and most eject players who regularly disobey. Tournament rules may differ as specified by the group, but may include for example - not really allowing players to make use of devices to talk to other persons throughout a game, or not allowing players to unduly alter the layout of terrain on the field.
Two teams encounter off at a place period and play only one game per game day time in the season as beginners play a 24-minute game and Amateur and Professional play a 32-minute game, both requiring 90 moments to resolve. The type and timing of paintball occasions are specified by the league running the tournament, with the group also defining match rules - such as number of players per group (from 3-7 players per group), or acceptable apparatus for use. Playing on a non-established field is sometimes referred to as renegade or gonzo play or outlaw ball (with the players nicknamed renegade ballers or outlaws).
So, fields that must wash paintball paint into municipal wastewater facilities, or which have substantial rain runoff into bodies of drinking water that are used simply because resources of drinking water, are usually required by the municipality to restrict players to only certain paint formulations; the easiest way to achieve this is to sell just approved paint and need that field paint be used.

Mike "Vampir" Makowski- Accepted
Mun Info:
Name- Bon
Age- 24
Pronouns- they/them
Time Zone- GMT +1
Discord- Mike Makowski#1605
Ic Info:
Character’s name- Mike “Vampir” Makowski
Age- 19
Gender/pronouns- Bigender, but they are not out to anyone about this. Pronouns are he/him, she/her or they/them when identifying as a male, and she/her and they/them when identifying as female. Again, no one knows this! Everyone believes Mike uses he/him only.
Species- Human
Physical description-
Mike is the definition of a bean pole. Being 5 feet & 10 inches tall, lanky and thin with long arms and legs, as well as struggling with an eating disorder, Mike is a pretty frail looking person despite his height. There are no muscles to be found here. Mike still looks like he did when he was younger, dressing in the same jackets, cloaks and flashy outfits, and never leaving his house without his makeup on. He’s gotten a few new piercings in his ears, as well as a snake bites piercing. His favourite one is the one on his neck, where he got two studs resembling the holes of a vampire bite. He still wears plastic fangs that are attached to his corner teeth.
Mike’s hair is surprisingly not as long as one would expect it to be after so many years of sporting long hair. Because of reasons unknown to even the other vamps, he cut it off when he was around 17 years old. It’s grown out quite a bit now though and ends around his shoulders. His hair is black and has underlights in bright lime green, and he’s still sporting that silly little cow lick on top of his head. Mike has long bangs covering the left side of his face, not only because it looks stylish, but because he is covering up his left eye, that he is completely blind in. It is foggy white in colour because of a cataract in it, while his good eye is bright green. He never shows his eye to anybody, so people do not even know that he is blind in it.
Personality description-
Mike is the passionate leader of the vamp kids. He loves to organise events and play around with the other vamps, loves to roleplay online, LARP, write fan fics, draw, etc etc… He loves to educate and bring people together! He adores every single vamp kid to bits, and would take a bullet for them any day.
This doesn’t mean he’s very brave though, or good at fighting. He’s been abused his whole life, and will flinch if someone moves their hand too fast in his direction, and is very easy to manipulate. He is bad at saying no, and if someone tries to speak over him, he’ll shut up and let them talk.
He is generally a very friendly person, and always feels a need to help and look out for those around him. He’s the big brother friend for sure. Or big sister, depending on the day. The only ones that can make Mike angry or bring out a good amount of sass, are the goths. He tries to ignore them if he can though. Over all, Mike is an outgoing weenie who loves his friends.
Background-
Mike grew up in an abusive household, away from his mother and Mr. Adams. When he was little his parents divorced early on, and he stayed with his father, while his twin brother went with their mother. His father blamed the twins for the divorce, convinced that the fault was in him and their mother not being ready to have two kids instead of one, and not because of his actual flaws as a person. He is physically and emotionally abusive, very manipulating, and the reason why Mike can seem like a pushover and hesitant to fight back. However he is also trying to overcome his struggles, so don’t think that he’s a door mat or anything for you to walk all over.
Growing up Mike always loved the occult and scary things, and was a huge fan of vampires way before the trend took off at school. If anything, what pushed him to really get the fad going, was the sudden popularity of the Twilight movies, and he saw a chance to express his love for vampires more openly. He surprised himself when he naturally fell into the leader role of the vamp kids, and with the position his confidence grew, he made some great friends, and the club pretty much became his life. Even as an 19 year old, he’s still managing the club with great passion.
Head cannons-
Mike is trans bigender, but still in the closet, presenting himself as a cis male. Only one or two people know about his actual gender, and Mike has told them to not tell a soul. He sometimes identifies as male, and sometimes female. He never knows how long he’ll identify as either, it can be a single day, a week, a month, or a whole year. He vastly prefers the name Vampir when identifying as female because it is gender neutral, and therefore always asks people to call him Vampir, to make it more natural. (OOC I might refer to Mike/Vampir as he/him, but also she/her. I kept the pronouns as he/him and referred to him as “Mike” on this application to make it easier to read as a whole)
Mike has a lisp with or without the clumsy vampire fangs, because of a tongue thrust he’s had to deal with his whole life. It could have been corrected with braces, but his dad never bothered to get him any luxury like that. He struggles the most on s, c, z, sh and th sounds, and it is very noticable.
Mike has ADD. This mostly presents itself in his wild imagination (he loved to play pretend when he was little, specifically that he was a vampire..), the way his mind jumps between topics, and how he’s bad at keeping things in his head. He has a short attention span and struggles to show interest in stuff he’s not passionate about (and he jumps stuff when he IS). He misreads things and sometimes skips certain words when typing something up. When he ends up in arguments, his mind goes completely blank, and he’ll either leave, or completely lose his side of the argument. He however is very calm in general, and laid back. He takes Ritalin when he feels the need for it.
Mike wants to become a teacher at South Park Elementary, an art and history teacher to be specific. He loves to draw with great passion, especially old buildings from the gothic revival, but he also draws more lighthearted stuff like characters and animals. He has his own webcomic that is starting out around this age, it’s about vampires (of course). It’s very good, and surprisingly innocent. He takes commissions and just loves to draw vampsonas for his friends (or whatever you might want from him… weirdos).
Mike can summon spirits, has a lot of experiences in spiritual games and rituals, such as using a ouija board, and playing “One-man hide and seek” by his lonesome. He’s made some poor choices in the past, and today he never goes into these situations without making sure it is as safe as possible.
Mike can see dead people, spirits of those that have passed on. He actually can’t tell them apart from people who are actually alive most of the time, which can lead to some awkward moments. He can’t sense the difference between the living and dead, but he can see and touch them no problem. It’s plagued him every since he was little, and he learned early on that he shouldn’t talk about it, because it’d anger his father, have him end up calling him crazy, and more often than not resulted in him getting hurt somehow.
Sample roleplay (two paragraphs)-
The last people Mike had wanted to run into this morning were the goths. He avoided them all like the plague, and he always made sure to never be left alone with any of them if he could. It was shameful to admit, but he just didn’t feel safe around them, and really, how could he? They had jumped him and beaten him up when he was just a kid, and sent him somewhere far away all alone. Even if they would’ve tried to apologise, it’d be difficult to accept. The encounter had been bad, he had said some things he would regret, and he was now in a sour mood… But it was nothing that the other vamp kids couldn’t fix.
As soon as he spotted them by their lockers the frown was instantly flipped upside down, and he picked up his pace to meet up with Larry, Katie, and the rest of the vamps. Years had passed, some of them were not as into vampires as they used to be… but they all remained friends. He excitedly told them about an event that he had planned for the younger vamps, or ‘baby bats’ as he so fondly called them, and quite a few of them said that they’d love to help out. With a dorky, fanged grin, the lord and dark master of the vamps took the lead down the hallway, excitedly exclaiming “It will be a night they will not thoon forget!”
