Okay, I’m awake and can finally piece words together but I absolutely love the symbolism behind Yasha’s haircut.

Like, we know Yasha’s hair started coming in black after she was under Obaan’s control the first time, and that it started growing back in white once they defeated him for good and Yasha was free.

So by cutting it down to the white and letting it grow back in it’s natural color, we see the physical manifestation of Yasha healing and moving through her trauma to become the world’s coolest housewife to finally live the life she’d always dreamed and honestly, it’s so sweet.

Shaved the sides of my head and god does that feel so much better. I didn’t realize how much I hated having hair hanging over my ears until now, I think I’m going to keep my sides no longer than a couple inches. My hair is also easier to wash now, which is great for my brain that tends to struggle with how overwhelming washing thick or long hair is.

#i cut my hair off partially because transing my gender #but also because I was really really struggling to maintain it #back when I did the big chop chop and got rid of my ass-length hair #and I didn’t realize how much better I’d been maintaining my hair until I had about 6 months of grow out and I started to struggle again #and I was like wow #if I’m struggling with shoulder length growout how was I managing a full head of not layered just flat dense straight to my ass hair #i guess I just really made use of braiding and buns and didn’t wash it often #which is good for some hair types but not mine #my hairline was receeding from the heavy buns #and my hair needs to be washed once every 2-3 days #i think my hair types the kind that if you’re going to grow it out long #you NEED to have a PHD in Dutch braiding and/or French braids #because it’s too fucking heavy for a bun or ponytail
