Had this idea for a cute comic in my head for a while and what better couple to use for it then one that's years out of date, but I still can't get over. 😭

It's hard to really gauge Andy Muschietti's adaptation of Stephen King's #itfilm🎈 on its own, after being almost intimately familiar with the 1990 TV miniseries that preceded it. I've heard that many changes will happen in the follow-up to this film compared to the story people are familiar with, and I am very curious as to where that takes the adult half of The Loser Club's story as they face off with It again. What I can say is that the film gets right the most important aspect of King's story- the bond between the main characters as they each encounter Pennywise, here played by Bill Skarsgard, who pays homage to the great Tim Curry's performance in the 1990 adaptation, but also delivers a singularly twisted performance, all its own. The dynamics between The Loser Club members needed to be on point in order for this film to carry emotional weight into the terror, and many kudos to Muschietti for his casting of the roles, with special mention required for Jaeden Lieberher as Bill and Sophia Lillis as Beverly. (Lillis, in particular, deserves awards consideration come year's end.) If the film's "scary moments" feel telegraphed, at times, it's likely because of familiarity with the tropes of the genre after so many films seen. That said, there's real power in this film, and it is enough to make "It" one of the best horror films in recent memory, and make me excited for the follow-up. #cinema #horror #stephenking

Tell me this isn't how Richie would interact with his kid.
And yes Eddie would react like this every time. ❤
