Ok, so, this ask is based on the peacekeepers. How would they do with them being sick? I exclude Makoto from this because we know he overworks himself at times and all.
In addition if it were to be with Swank added to this, you can also take in Kuro (my oc) into the scenario if you like.
Sorry I can’t do OCs… But the Peacekeepers hmm let me see if I can make some stuff up (they’re not my favorite so this may be difficult) And yeah I’ve said plenty on Makoto already I get it xD (he’s my antagonist to target :3c)
Okay here’s what I have come up with~
Yomi Hellsmile:
The Absolute WORST patient.
He will complain CONSTANTLY.
With every sneeze or cough, his entire frame hurts and he curses every single time his head starts pounding
And whats with all these DAMN CHILLS?!
His sickbed is full of tissues and spilled cough syrup. And his blanket is a mess too (don’t ask)
If you take care of him, good luck. Most of the gestures will be refused or thrown back at your face.
Until his fever rises to the point he becomes needy and clingy. But even THEN he’ll still back in forth refusing the caretaking or accepting it. (MAKE UP YOUR MIND)
He hates liquid medicine and will only take pills.
Also he’s a little goldilocks with food and tea. If it’s too hot or cold, he will let you know aggressively. (His tongue is very sensitive)
And he may also deny it entirely and try to keep being a little devil making things hell for everyone, so you gotta drag him to the bed (even if he bites you)
Martina Electro
Being ill is but a minor inconvenience to her.
But how she wishes her beloved Director Yomi would come to care for her…
She’s the type that brushes the illness off continuing to work at times if it isn’t too bad.
She cannot disappoint Yomi after all…
Only to get much worse later.
Thankfully, she does know her limits.
She is fairly good at taking care of herself. (As well as of the other peacekeepers if they falter) She’s usually the one caring for them.
Usually wearing a comfortable robe sitting down with some warm tea and medicine so she can still do, some work. But she makes sure paces herself.
If she sneezes or coughs she tries to be as quiet as possible doing so.
She cannot bear to falter…or Director Yomi would be upset with her. (someone help this poor woman ;-;)
Seth Burroughs
A pure sopping wet cat.
If he’s ill, it’s the most pitiful thing you’ve ever seen.
He’s very prone to asthma attacks and at times the rain isn’t good for his health either.
His unhealthy demeanor really doesn’t help. If he catches even a small cold, it will grow to something FAR worse later
He loses his already barely audible voice and has to communicate with a whiteboard.
He also can have food sensitivity, so if you feed him the wrong thing…it will come back up.
Super frail so make sure to handle him like the delicate flower that he is.
He uses his megaphone to try communicating or calling people to help him or if he needs anything. But sadly, it usually breaks out in a coughing fit.
He’s the most prone to illness out of all of the peacekeepers.
Looking at flowers brings him peace so having a vase at his bedside does make him feel a little better.
Guillaume Hall
She is SUPER needy and whiny about it
And she works Dominic like a DOG to try to meet her every need. (Dominic cannot get sick)
She’s a bratty little princess who wants everything to be done right.
She still has her fortune telling gear at her bed and she still practices it despite her poor state.
Or she opens up her laptop and watches something “fun” to cheer herself up. (Horror movies or killing documentaries)
She always wants to eat something sweet. Sometimes sneaking candy under her bed.
She sleeps with multiple plushies.
Her voice gets super deep if she loses it due to illness.
Sometimes if she has a fever or feels chils, she gets a bit delirious and wants Dominic to come give her snuggles.
Until she falls asleep in his large weapon like arms with a smile on her face.
Swank Castonell
He’s similar to Yomi in being SUPER grumpy about being sick.
Only difference is, he is VERY demanding of whoever tends to him.
Ordering them around and forcing them to use “their” money to get anything rather than his own.
His appetite somehow gets higher when ill, and he craves a LOT more meat and booze than usual
But booze isn’t a good thing to drink when ill, so it has to be kept away from him
But then he yells about it. Until he eventually passes out.
His cigar also has to be confiscated. His cough is bad enough already.
He needs to be watched at all times to make sure his usual habits don’t make things worse for him.
Eventually he’ll conk out. But he needs to be in front of a large screen tv playing the most boring documentary you’ve ever seen.
I hope this is something !!

We must discuss how many characters in the Mysterious Benedict Society universe (both book and TV) have incredible amounts of sapphic swagger.
Miss Perumal? If you look up ‘femme lesbian’ in the dictionary there’s a picture of her
Rhonda Kazembe? Most bisexual to ever bisexual bisexually, we all wish we were as cool as her
Number Two? Transfem lesbian icon with a passion for woodworking no one is doing it like her
Dr Garrison? Finally, representation for loser lesbians who are going through a divorce without ever being married or dating anyone ever
Kate Wetherall? The love of my life when I was eight, queer awakening for so many kids
Martina Crowe? Mean, overly competitive, dramatic lesbians are the backbone of society
Ms Plugg? No thoughts, only buff women <3
Jackson and Jillson? They are something! Good for them
Violet Hopefield? So sapphic that she shares a name with the sapphic flower symbol, beloved <3
Constance Contraire is the only exception, she is an aroace queen

PART 24
of the dfk audiobook translation
@cnka
Kids all cheering „Uli! Uli! Uli!“
Narrator (audiobook):
He’s made it.
Kids clapping and cheering
Matze, yelling: „Uli, you showed everybody!!“
Uli: „I did it!!“
Applause from the kids. The Externs look at each other.
Uli: „Yes!!“
Even Robert claps impressedly. He moves to leave.
Uli: „The wall is mine!“
Narrator (audiobook):
Jo confidently walks up to Ruda.
Jo: „Kirchberg is just ours now. Or so I’ve heard.“
Ruda: „What?! Forget it.“
Jo: „Hä, hello, he's up there, or isn’t he.“
Sebi: (scoffs) „But he was secured, it doesn’t even count then!“
The Internals and Externs start arguing.
Narrator (audiobook):
And again a fight has broken out between the Internals and Externs. Not a physical one this time, but the kids are yelling so loudly that Uli catches everything from above.
He carefully steps forward to get a picture of the situation.
But then… he steps on an unstable roof tile and falls down head first.
A gasp.
A crush as the roof tile breaks on the ground.
Narrator (audiobook):
The tile falls off the roof, in front of the feet of the arguing pack, who immediately look up.
Screams and gasps. Someone, it might be Matze, yells: „Uli!“
Narrator (audiobook):
He hangs helplessly on his rope. But the knot loosens and Uli is in free fall. His small body crashes onto the concrete.
Narrator (audiobook):
Matze rushes to his friend.
Matze, weepily: „No, Uli, are you okay?“
Nichtraucher, yelling: „No touching!!“ (tone lowered, but still tense) „No touching.“
Narrator (audiobook):
Robert is immediately on hand too.
Nichtraucher: „Uli? Can you hear me?“
muffled sounds of talking in the distance - this is kind of from Ulis PoV. ("We fucked up!" "That wasn't our fault!" "It is, we cheered him on!")
Narrator (audiobook):
Uli is unconscious - he’s bleeding from his mouth and nose.
Nichtraucher, muffled: „We need an ambulance, quick.“
Loud gasp/sob from Uli when he catches conciousness for a brief moment before drifting off again
SCENE CHANGE
Narrator (audiobook):
Shortly after, Martina, Jo and Matze are sitting in the hospital waiting for news about their friend. Herr Bökh joins.
Bökh: „Kids! There you are. How could that happen?“
Matze: „He planned it all so well!“
Martina: „He simply slipped.“
Bökh: „But why did he even climb up there?“
Jo: „He wanted to conquer Kirchberg.“
Bökh: „Pardon?“
Jo: „The legend says that the town will belong to the one who makes it onto the city wall.“
Bökh: „Somebody just made that up! That’s complete nonsense.“
Jo and Matze, incredulous: „What??“
Narrator (audiobook):
Justus Bökh sees Robert coming out of the Intensive Care Unit.
Bökh, quietly: „What are you doing here?“
Nichtraucher: „I happened to be there.“
Bökh: „Yes, and? How- how is he?“
Nichtraucher: „He’s broken his leg and has a few contusions. He‘ll have to spend the holidays here, but it’s nothing that will last.“
The kids sigh in relief. Martina squeezes Jo's hand.
Bökh: „Thank God.“
Nichtraucher, to the kids: „Come on! You can see him.“
Narrator (audiobook):
Our friends don’t need to be told twice. They run off.
Justus lets out a tense sigh.
Narrator (audiobook):
Robert talks to Justus.
Nichtraucher: „It should never have come to this.“
Bökh: „How dare you accuse me like that?“
Bökh: „You’ll go back to your old wagon now, put your feet up, while day for day i fight to give these children a home and keep them from nonsense like exactly that.“
Bökh: (breathes in shakily) „I need to inform the parents now.“
Narrator (audiobook):
Justus turns around and leaves.
Unfortunately he doesn’t hear what Robert has to reply.
Nichtraucher: „…That’s not what I meant.“
SCENE CHANGE
Narrator (audiobook):
Thank God Uli is lively again. He’s happy about his sick visit.
Uli: „This time I showed everyone, didn’t I?“
Martina: „That you’re brave? You could definitely say that."
Matze: „And totally stupid! You can completely forget Sylt now.“
Uli: „But now Kirchberg is just mine! Cool!“
Jo: „…That was just a joke. A few people made it up back then.“
Uli: „Aw, man. :(“

PART 18
of the dfk audiobook translation
@cnka
Bökh: „Uh, Martina- Could you please stay with me for a moment?“
Matze: „Ciao!“
Bökh: „Ciao!“
Uli: „Thanks for the lemonade, Herr Bökh.“
Jo: „Bye!“
The door closes behind them.
Bökh: „Um… about your math's test… Um… it was only a 4.“
Martina: „…What?“
Bökh: „Minus.“
Martina: „But… I’ve never gotten a 4.“
Bökh: „It’s not your fault either, you’re just behind a certain bit. I'm offering to study with you in the holidays. So you can pass the admission test.“
Martina: „…“
Martina nods.
Bökh: „Ok? Yeah?“
Martina: „…Could I use your telephone please?“
Bökh: „Yes, of course. Back there.“
Martina: „Thank you. I’d have to call home.“
Bökh: „Ok. Can you remind your mother about the money for the car hood?“
Narrator (audiobook):
Martina nods hesitantly.
When she calls home, she only reaches Oskar, who is sitting alone at the dinner table once again.
(telephone ringing)
Oskar: „Hello?“
Martina: „…It’s me!“
Oskar: „Martina?! You know what, I found my worm! And now he’s at home with us! And I’ll take him to our vacation so you’ll see him too!“
Martina: „…Oskar… I need to stay here. For the entire holidays. I need to prepare for the test.“
Oskar: „…What? You’re not coming to vacation? But- but you promised we’d go on vacation together.“
Martina: „I know. But I need to pass the test first.“
Oskar: „You- you could study here. You and Mama always said, a promise is a promise.“
Martina: „No. I can’t do this alone.“
Oskar: „You know what?! Just stay in your shitty Kirchberg, I can do this without you, I hate you!“
Oskar hangs up the phone with a slam.
SCENE CHANGE
Narrator (audiobook):
Later in the evening, Jo and Martina are in their room, and she is sitting on her bed sadly.
Jo is drawing. She looks up.
Martina: (sniffles quietly)
Jo: „…Are you okay?“
Martina: „Yeah, yeah.“
Narrator (audiobook):
Jo sits down next to her friend.
Jo: „Do you know why this film is so important to me?“
Martina shakes her head.
Jo: „I want to send it to my mother. I thought she’d come to the performance, but… the whole thing is off.“
Martina: „…“
Jo: „My foster parents will come to the closing party. …But they’re booked out the entire summer… Hm. That’s it for my holidays.“
Martina: „Why do you have foster parents, by the way?“
Jo: „When I was five… my mother abandoned me in a disco. Afterwards, she went into hiding for years. A while ago, my foster parents found her in Brazil.“
Jo: „… I was really happy.“
Jo: „… But we won’t see each other. She can’t make it.“
Martina: „I’m sorry.“
