Festival to Hestia

Along side her I placed the Oikos Theoi [Household Gods]. On the right: Zeus Ktesios (jar), Zeus Herkeios, Hera Oikos. On the left: Hekate, Apollo Argyieus, Hermes.

I'm only able to preform the low spoon version of this festival but still wanted to set this up. I hope I can complete the other half tomorrow. I'll use this for the jar candle bit I mention in the low spoon version.

I only had to get out 2 small boxes & Hestia's idol to set all this up.... except her candle I had no idea where her candle was so looking for that took up most energy. I had a feeling she really wouldn't like any candle except for hers.

I'm glad I set this up. My last drop of energy of 2023 went to the Theoi 🤍🔥

February 14th, 2024 (modern date I chose)

Happy Theogamia 💐

Today I'm celebrating the sacred marriage, hieros gamos, of King Zeus & Queen Hera. May their anniversary bring blessings to all of us.

Invoked as: Zeus Teleios & Zeus Herkeios and Hera Teleia & Hera Oikos.

The libation was water. The offering in the center is a bouquet of heart and flower shaped gummies my mother gave me. I didn't have the energy to offer the incense, but even just the stick smells nice.

Diviniation Shrine to Apollo Proopsios March 25, 2024.

Quite a big improvement from the crowded one (link) I set up during this book cases' reorganization. I finally added the purple thing back for Apollo Proopsios's shrine to elevate him.

Divination tools include a lot of 78-tarot decks, oracle cards, lenormand, playing cards, dice sets, pendulums, set of runes, and a scrying ball. All the books, most not shown in photo, are all divination related. (I also have an ouija board but its below this shelf because it fits no where else)

I hope he's happy with his shrine finally being properly set up.

Education & Goals Shrine October 16 2023

Ares, Ninĝirsu, Geštug Nisaba, Nabû, and Athena Ergane.

This use to be where my Oikos shrine was but my room has changed a lot and I also needed space on my book case. So I moved it here, the shelf of my desk. Seems an appropriate spot.

The blue thing in my M.A, behind it is my B.S, and behind that is my HS Diploma. I've been wanting to hang them but I'm not sure where

Father's Day June 18, 2023

A small shrine to Patér Zeus.

A libation of water was given. Prayers of gratitude for his presence in my life, as well as thanks for the four fathers in my life both alive and deceased. The vase is something given to me by my pappous— Greek grandfather so I thought it appropriate, I only wish I had some flowers for it. I invoke Patér Zeus with ASMR and when I need comfort like that of a parent.

This shrine is located in a high location which wasn't the best during the small prayer and libation but I did what I could.

Happy Fathers Day to all the deserving Fathers out there and to splendid Patér Zeus 🏺🔥🏺

Candlemas Marian Altar

(Candlemas Marian Sacred Space?)

Info post I wrote about Candlemas!

I used my much prettier Bible which is KJV and have it open to the First Sorrow— The Prophecy of Simeon:

"Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.” Luke 2:34-35 KJV

I also placed my Seven Sorrows rosary here. The white candle I planned to put a picture of Mater Dolorosa, to remind me of the 7 day Saint candles I used in Latine Catholicism of my childhood. I have sticker printer paper to do that. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do that nor print artwork to frame it because my printer is entirely broke.

Still it being Candlemas I thought it important to place the intended candle in this space. I obviously can't get any candles purified and blessed at a Church. But it is purified in my heart by its designation solely to Mary and it will never be used in any of my other traditions.

This is literally the ONLY space in my ENTIRE room where I could place these items, every other surface is covered and has been since I moved everything for the potential flood and never moved them back. The blur is because there are other items in the space because its so small. What I couldn't blur is a homemade cloth doll my Yaiyai made for me.

*In Christianity a "home altar" is set up as a place & reminder to pray. Thus "altar" "marian altar" "shrine" "kamidana" have different meanings in my religious practice.

Oikos Shrine January 13, 2023

I decided to change my household boundaries shrine into a shrine for all the Hellenic household Gods (at least by Attic tradition + Hera)— Oikos worship. Hestia is of course front and center with a symbolic hearth candle.

Gods left to right: Hekate, Apollo Argyieus [of the Streets], Hestia, Zeus Ktesios [of Possessions] (jar pseudo-kathiskos), Hermes, Zeus Herkeios [of the House], Hera Oikos [of the Family].

🧡 Shrines! 🧡

Now that I have reconsecrated idols, consecrated idols, and blessed representations.... which I planned to do in January and it became a year long project apparently.....I can set up my shrines again!

This is a super Work In Progress, its a brand new desk so different spacing. I need a better cloth for them so I can make a bit more space. Hermes does have his compass and coins at least. I even have a libation holder but not receiver whoops. Soteria is sometimes honored here without a representation.

This is actually kind of an odd shrine to set up for me. Not sure its exact purpose anymore. However, not only do I like having this "set" of Gods together. They seem to want to have their own shrine [Meaning I felt uneasy keeping them on main altar which dissipated when I placed them on their own shrine 🤍]. The vase with Greek art I inherited from my papous. There is a closed compass and LED candle lights.

I actually changed this shrine a little by adding the tarot deck's companion books. No bells and whistles to this shrine—like libation vessels or lightning—just all the tools and his representation on top of the purple platform.

Daily Altar November 10, 2022

First full Daily Altar since January!!! It took nearly a year to fully bless, reconsecrate, consecrate all the idols & representations, but it needed to happen. Finally I have this and my other 3 separate shrines back. Idols are bolded.

I've been trying to "declutter" my main altar because it was getting longer time-wise and physically more difficult to change and set up. So I moved the Oikos Theoi to my boundaries shrine (below) and have removed candle representations of the Asklepiads + Epione in favor of bead only representation. I didn't make a "new" altar so didn't have to drag any boxes out or anything, still trying to figure out how to make my altars without physical pain.

🔥 Festival of the First & Last🔥

Happy New Year 2022-2023 🎉

Gods honored: Hestsia (center); Hera Oikos (left); Zeus Herkeios (right): Zeus Ktesios (center jar) the pseudo-Kadiskos is finally refilled.

Libations were two different drinks hence the different look. My ritual was scaled back but I'm still happy I managed it after cleaning up a bit of my room. I actually did it at midnight this year!

Divination Shelf

Apollo Proopsios is in the center of the divination tools.

I actually managed to fit everything from the previous post into this bookcase!!! Except I chose 2 (possibly 3) more to give away.

My divination section is now rather....uh...crowded. I have a few books that would go on this bookcase so it technically doesn't fit everything the bookcase is for— but things would fit if I moved my night light (big orb).

One bookcase done (3 to go) in my Bookcase Sub Project, tah dah accomplishment!
