ReBlog Relay (A JSE Writers Experiment!)
Hello all!
I’ve thought of this idea if anyone is interested; what if we did a community wide writing event where someone starts a story and left it unfinished for other writers to add it? Creating a story together?
If you’re reading this, that means YOU can be part of this experiment! From a whole chapter to a piece of dialogue!
If this is something the intrigues you, even just a little, gimme a ✏️ in the comments or reblog (to combat spam bots, likes won’t be counted).
Hope to hear back from Ego writers and fanfic enthusiasts soon!
(Ps. Which is a better name? Finish-The-Fic or Reblog Relay [writersofjack edition])

Whumptober Day 6 Proof of Life
Fandom: Youtuber Egos
Characters: Markiplier Egos + Blankgameplays & Antisepticeye
Relationships: AntiBlank + Darkstache
Prompt: Ransome Video
Triggers: Randome acts of violence, guns, knives, torture, blood
It’s been six months since those two went missing and there had been no sign of them. Six months since both Dark and Anti had to work together for some sort of trace.
Six months ago, out of nowhere everyone was freaking out over the sudden disappearances of both Wilford Warfstache, and Blank.
They searched high and low, in any place they could ever imagine the two would be. Everyone, even Jack and his egos had joined to find the two. Days passed, there was no sign of the two. Anti had already feared something to have happened to his partner already just as Dark had began to do so with Wilford. He’d never be gone for this long according to him, even when they’d have their small arguments he was never gone for longer than a day or two.
But now it had been weeks since the two were last seen and a few were already starting to give up hope for their foundings.
That was, until the group got an unknown email sent to them from someone. They were all hesitant to open it, but what if it was someone coming forward saying he was found? There was always that chance so Anti curiously opened the email. There it was, a random video that gave off bad feelings for a few of the others, mostly Host who was keeping ‘watch’ over the group as the responsible one since Dark wouldn’t be the most stable one for the task as of the moment.
As soon as the playbutton was hit, they all froze. There they were, Wilford and Blank restrained to chairs. Blank seemed to be having an anxiety attack while Dark’s pink partner was glaring at someone in front of them.
Suddenly the camera was moved, and the two were out of view.
“So, I guess you’ve figured out your two precious ones are here.” A voice they’ve never heard spoke. Dark let out a quiet growl as he could hear the sounds of the two crying out or howling in pain from whoeevr else was apart of this. “Since I’m ‘nice’. I’ll make a deal with you” The man cackled.
“Wire me 40K, for each one of them, and maybe I’ll think about letting them go unharmed. You have until {radicated date} to do so, or else. I’d just have them sleep with the fish then.”
The camera procceeds to glitch out for a while before cutting out and shutting off. The group just sat there, frozen and staring at the screen. They sat there for what seemed like ages before Dark lets out a growl. “Find the location. We’re all going. This is war”

̶U̶n̶c̶l̶e̶s̶  Maya: Chapter 8
Part 3 of Flipped AU
Masterpost
TRIGGER WARNINGS: VIOLENCE, KIDNAPPING, BLACKMAIL, LIGHT IMPLICATIONS OF RAPE
Maya woke up early the next morning, excited about the day to come. Dressing before going down to breakfast, she was already imagining feeding her new dog, and taking it on long walks by herself.
In the kitchen, Chase was also up, as were Jameson and Marvin, planning how they would reveal to Anti that they had Maya. Chase had been smart with choosing them two for the task: they both had a creative flair. When Maya walked through the doorway, the conversation turned to who would tell Maya. Before Maya could ask what they had to tell her, the three fell quiet and Marvin gestured for her to sit next to him.
Without food in front of her, she felt awkward sitting at the island next to him, but didn’t make a fuss. Instead, she waited for him to finish his mouthful, and start talking.
“So little duck, what we need to tell you is that you can’t have a dog.” He looked apologetic.
“It’s my fault, really, it’s because of my magic. You see, it doesn’t react well to animals, I can’t even do birthday parties if they have pets, it can become that uncontrollable. And I know you don’t want to put any of us in danger by getting a pet.”
“No.” Maya lied. “I don’t want any of you to get hurt.” She really did.
“But don’t worry,” Chase joined in, “I know how excited you were to spend some time with me, so we can still go out into the city. I can even vlog it for the channel, I’m sure everyone would love to meet you.”
“Yeah, that would be cool.” That would be awful. “I would love to meet some of your fans.” She would hate it.
“Great! We’ll head out after you’ve had breakfast.” Maya nodded, and went to get some cereal from the pantry.
They left soon after, the house now free to talk about their plans without secrecy.
Part 1…
Henrik and Jackie sat in the empty dining room, discussing their plan. Originally, they had planned to take Kenna in a similar way to how they had taken Maya, but they didn’t know enough about her; they didn’t even know her parents’ names.
“All I’m saying is, the one thing we know for certain about her is that she likes Maya in some way.” Jackie was adamant that would be what helped them come up with the plan, whereas Henrik was only getting more and more frustrated at his stubbornness.
“How will it help us? How exactly will it help us bring her here?”
“I don’t know, but it will. I know it will! As certain as I am Jackieboyman!” Henrik’s face lit up, he had it.
“No, I tell you what will help, your red suit, and some convincing black clothing.”
“What?!”
“Would it not be very unfortunate for Kenna to get, say, mugged, and Jackieboyman to rescue her, but as she has already lost her purse and phone, he allows her to show her gratitude in a different way.” Henrik was grinning maliciously.
“Henrik, dude, that is fucked up, even for you. She’s a kid.”
“It is not like you haven’t done it before.” Jackie opened his mouth to protest, but Henrik didn’t let him speak. “Just because we have to be in bed by eleven, doesn’t mean we sleep, my brother. But your point about her being a child is fair, maybe her mugger could knock her out, and Jackieboyman takes her out of a dark alley to keep her safe.” He tapped his brother’s face. “Now go and get your suit on, school will end soon.”
Henrik sat in his idling car with Jackie as they waited for the school bell to ring and the students to start rushing out. Soon they did, and both watching for her, they saw her trailing alone at the back of the crowd. She walked off the site, and in the opposite direction to most of the other kids. Slowly, they pulled the car out, and drove down the street, passing her. Around the corner, Henrik parked the car, and hid in an alleyway, close enough to the street to see Kenna coming. In his right hand he held a needle, but his left hand was empty, ready to grab her as she passed.
Meanwhile, Jackie had run up the stairs of the tallest building on the street, and was perched on the edge of the roof, waiting to see Kenna walking down the street. When he did, he knew he had to wait until she was pulled into the alleyway by Henrik, then he could move. It would look the most organic that way as well, as if he had simply been on patrol and seen something bad happen.
Kenna had earbuds in, blasting jazz music to drown out the hum of the city as she walked home; because of this, she never heard Henrik’s shuffling feet in the alleyway. She never even noticed his existence until he had a firm grip on her arm, and had pulled her off the main street. She yelped, but his hand was over her mouth before much sound could get out. The needle was stuck into her neck before Jackie had sprung off the roof, drifting through the air until he could land softly, rolling before he ran the rest of the street to the alley. Henrik had, as planned, run back to the car, and driven off before Jackie had reached the entrance, leaving Kenna half conscious on the ground.
“Hi, hey, can you hear me?” Jackie shook Kenna’s shoulders, pulling her earbuds out as her head flopped slightly, but her eyes fluttered open.
“Jackieboyman?! Are you here to save me?”
“Something like that. Come on, let’s get you somewhere safe.” He scooped her up in his arms and took off, flying over the cityscape until Kenna was safely unconscious. Then, he landed back in an alley, where Henrik had been waiting for him, and together they put her in the backseat, and drove home.
Their little duck would be so happy.
And now, part 2…
Marvin and Jameson hadn’t needed to spend as much time on coming up with their plan as Jackie and Henrik had, instead they had spent the whole morning rehearsing. After all, you can’t do a show without rehearsals.
They left together, mid afternoon, to Anti’s house, Marvin directing them from memory of where Maya would spend her evenings. It was small, very homely; not what they imagined him or Louise settling down into. The lights were on inside, and they parked the car over the road, preparing for their performance.
Marvin ran out of the car, posting a handwritten letter through the letterbox and knocking on the door, before standing flat against the wall, ready to blast him with magic. The letterbox shut softly, and Marvin knew he was about to open the door. A click of the lock, and brushing of carpet as the door opened, and Anti stepped outside, barefoot. Marvin shot the blast of magic before Anti realised he was there, but it took a few seconds before it took over. In that time, Anti turned to the attack, and saw his brother.
In turn, Marvin took him in as well. He looked broken, the green tint of his skin turned from bright to sickly, and deep purple bags sat under his eyes, as if he hadn’t slept for weeks. Marvin caught him just as he started to fall, and dragged him inside, leaving the door open for Jameson, who was climbing out of the car, to follow.
Anti woke up with a splitting headache, had he got drunk again last night? Maybe, but his hangovers had never been this bad before. He opened his eyes and looked up, seeing Marvin and Jameson sat on the sofa opposite him. Why were his brothers here? Thinking about it, their presence explained why his head was aching so much. Marvin must’ve attacked him.
“Why are you here?” His voice was hoarse even though he had only been out for a few minutes.
“Anti, brother, you’re awake!”Jameson sprung up, Marvin following.
“You see, we had a message to deliver, and we thought we could play a little game, for old time’s sake. Doesn’t that sound fun?”
“I said, why are you in my house?” Anti kept his head bowed, not trusting them enough to look in their eyes.
“Brother, dear brother, where is the fun in just telling you?” Marvin smirked. “We have made it much more fun, like a scavenger hunt! Except with each clue you find, you get an extra day to find your precious daughter.”
It took a moment for Anti to realise what Marvin had just told him. “You cunts! You have my daughter! You took her, just to get at me! I swear to god I’m going to fucking kill you.”
“Anti, calm down! You wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to her would you?” Jameson held up a remote. They all had one, and it controlled the ‘choker’ that Chase had put on Maya the second day.
“You wouldn’t! You sick fuck.” Anti was snarling, his vow as good as broken if it would protect her.
“Oh, we already have. But one push of this button and a pulse of energy goes through her spine. Let’s just hope she’s not holding anything sharp.” Jameson pressed the button, and Anti struggled against the chair. He didn’t know that Chase had turned the collar off so he could take her outside of the house, and they weren’t about to tell him.
“Okay, so let me go, I do this stupid scavenger hunt, and then I come to your dumb fucking mansion and I kill every last one of you.” Surprisingly, Marvin walked over behind him and untied his restraints. It took every ounce of willpower not to lunge at them both then and there, but he couldn’t risk Maya’s safety. She was all he had.
“So what’s the first clue?” And just like that their game began.
It was evening by the time their game was finished. Anti was covered in sweat, tears, and a little blood, but he had found all of the clues. His prize? Ten days from when Jameson and Marvin left his house to find Maya. If she wouldn’t go with him, or he couldn’t find her in time, he lost and he would sign all parental rights over to Louise, and they kept her forever.
They left, and the countdown begun.

Kill Jacksepticeye Aftermath
A/N: Back again with another short story! This was obviously inspired by the video that was made recently. Surprisingly, its not a novelization but an aftermath of the video. Seriously, I enjoyed the 'Kill Jacksepticeye Bio INC Redemption' video Jack and Robin put together. Thank you both!
In this, I want to keep to how Anti is EVIL, cruel and twisted. As fun as it is to think of him in a romantic figure for lolz… it does water down the character's spark of life. I mean, I can't tell you can't do it but that's just me.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
*~*~*~*~*~*~
Anti giggled as he sent the video off to be uploaded and later on, watch how the community would react with it. After all they knew of his existence… and to think they thought they had Jack back. “҉T͏he ͞f̵-f͘o̸o͡l̕s.͟.͢.͟ Th̢e͝y ͟s̵h͡oúld hav̷e͏ ͢p̸a͜id at̶tén͏ti͘o̷n bet͏t͞er.͡..” the entity sneered with a smirk, toying with his beloved knife in his hand. Still, he had to admit… it was a cute effort. Amusing really…
Watching the good doctor start off with confidence of saving Jack then watching him quickly degrade into panic and despair as he quickly failed in his endeavor. Plus it was fun, taking control of his movements at times to stall the rescue and watch him freak out over it, as clueless as he was. It was… a delightful feeling. Still, as Anti's eyes narrowed as he continued to toy with the blade, the doctor was trying to save Jack.
Something he was not happy about.
In their shared mind, Anti paced restlessly, the knife twirling in his fingers as he moved. Jack was off to the side, watching his counterpart's movement; limbs and chest bound in thin chains that kept him under the entity's thumb. They were lax at the moment, but even though they were loose, Jack was no fool in trying anything… yet. Anti was agitated, he could feel it radiating from him. And it was aimed toward a certain German/Irish doctor that cowered as far as possible from them, which… wasn't very far. Jack flicked his gaze from the irritated tulpa to the doctor, hoping he was okay.
He wasn't.
He was terrified and Jack couldn't fault him for feeling that way. Especially when Anti was in another one of his moods. The doctor had no idea what was going on, really. One minute he was screaming for someone to help save Jack, next he was unconscious and waking up here.
“D͡o͢cto̷r..͡.̛” Anti called as he continued to pace, knife still dancing around his hand.
Dr. Schneeplestein froze at being called before meekly stepping forward, “Eeep! I-I mean, j-ja?”
“Y͘ǫu̡ we͢ren't҉ ͠att̀e̴m̛ptin̢g̢ ̧t́o seņd͞ ́á ̀ś-̀s̵e҉cre̸t̶ ̶mes͟sag̡e,̶ ͞w-̸wer͟e͏ ̨you͢?” Anti asked, an accusing tone edging his voice as an equally dangerous smile appeared on his face, “̷Heeh̶a͝ha͜h́e͢ee~”̷
The doctor jolted and shook his head quickly, eyes wide with fear. “N-noh! I-I didn't know!” He trembled, his eyes quickly glancing at Jack with a look of 'I tried'. This caused the YouTuber's own eyes to widen slightly in surprise, shocked that the doctor had noticed and attempted to help. That he would risk himself in attempt to pass a message to the Bosses. 'You didn't… why?'
Another look passed between them, Dr. Schneep's gaze answering him. '...Zomeone had to tell zem...'
Unfortunately, Anti caught the silent conversation between the two; narrowing his eyes further and began to giggle more as his pacing changed from caged tiger to turning and walking toward the doctor slowly. His eyes closed and smiled sharply, his knife dancing faster in one hand before it was switched to his other.
Ah, lies… oh how he hated being lied to...
“͢Do͟c̛tor.͘.. ̢doc͏t̷o̴r͢...͟”͠ Anti tsked and giggled as he moved closer. Both men looked away from each other and gazed at the entity as he got closer, his glitching making it more ominous. “̢D̀i͜dn't ͟you kno̢w.̢..?͡”̢ His eyes remained closed. Jack narrowed his own, knowing something was up. Anti never kept his eyes closed for long. Dr. Schneep shook a little but stood his ground, fearful but curious.
Anti's face twisted in rage as his eyes flew open, jet black in color. He dashed forward with a burst of speed, glitchy after images left in his wake as he roared, “͟Į DE͝SPISE̷ ҉BEÍN̷G ͝LIED ͢T̵O̢!̷”̛
The doctor yelped in shock, backpedaling to escape as Anti charged at him. Jack jumped and ran to intercept. “Anti, NO!” he yelled as he leaped to tackle him.
Anti giggled, grinning wildly as he twisted around his tackle; spinning around Jack in an impressive display of flexibility. It stunned the YouTuber as he missed and hit the ground of the black space of their mind. He coughed as he scrambled up to his feet and chased after his dark counterpart. Anti had a head start and laughed as he chased after the terrified doctor, the thrill of the chase exciting him.
Dr. Schneep screamed as he turned on his heel and fled, trying to outrun the demented entity. He didn't get far as Anti glitched right in front of him, black eyes burning in a fury bore into his own frightened gaze.
Anti's arm shot out and gripped the terrorized persona's shirt and lab coat, twisting the material in his fist to secure his hold. “̡S͜o ͞you W̸E͞R̵E ́trying͘ t́o ̵give thę l͢it̨tĺe ́lo͞s͡e͝r͢s̀ ͠á hi͘nt͡!̧” he barked in rage, pulling the doctor closer to stare him in the eye. “T̸ry̛i̶ng t͝o͘ ch̡e͜a̵t m͡e҉ ̸o͜ut of w̕-w̢hat͢'s ͠r-r̷ìg͟h̵tfu͟lĺy̕ MI̶ŅÉ?!̴”̸
“Anti, that's enough!” Jack yelled, bringing Anti's attention to him, “Let Dr. Schneeplestein go! You already won for now! You're terrorizing the Boss-”
Anti shot Jack a look of contempt. “Q̷uiet, ͜Jác̕ka̸b̢oy͟...” he hissed, stretching his power out to his prize. “̢T̵his do̸e͟sn̵'̢t ̷c̴onc̢e̵rn y͜ou, ͘m͞y ̕litt̸l͘ȩ ͝st̷r͡i̶n̛g ́ṕ-̕p̵u̢ppe͘t.”
The lengths of thin chain that were wrapped around the various parts of the YouTuber's body tensed, his only warning. The chains squeezing each wrapped limb before lashing outwards in all directions; latching and anchoring themselves to wherever they struck. The chains around his legs shortened, roughly yanking Jack to his knees hard enough to crack them against the ground. The action causing the Irishman to cry out then growl in pain as the chains on his arms pulled them up and over his head. The web of chains going taunt; doing their job of immobilizing and placing the Irish Youtuber in a torturous kneeling position rather well.
Jack trembled and gritted his teeth in pain, giving Anti a defiant glare.
“He doesn't belong to you!” The doctor snapped, glaring at the dark persona despite how scared he was feeling. “None of us do!”
The entity's face was neutral as he stared at the persona that dared to step up to him. Defy him. He blinked slowly as if to digest the concept and lifted a brow; eyes returning to normal as he spoke softly. “͠Yo̢ų ̷don'̢t ̕b-belong to m̸e͠?̶”
“Noh… ve don't.”
How… fucking… d a r e... he...
Anti smiled sharply. “He̢ḩ.̷.͢.̧ ͢he͡h͘e̵..҉. ah̨hahaha~!̷ ̸Ba͝l͝lsy..͞.̀ ̕ye͠t y̶o̵u'͡re͝ r-͝ri̵g͞h͞t́~” He lifted the doctor up off the floor by his shirt, startling him as he exerted an amazing amount of physical strength. “Y͟o͝u͢ w-̛w͡er͡e͜n͞'͜t͠!”͠ His face contorted into a disturbing expression of sick glee as he quickly rammed his knife into the doctor's side, above his hip.
Dr. Schneep went stiff, shocked by the action before howling in agony and writhed.
Jack screamed in horror, surging against his restraints in effort to rescue his friend and persona. No, no no, this couldn't be happening! “NO! SCHNEEP!”
"̡E͢ h̵ ̸e̶ e ̕h ͠e h ̷e e̶ ͠~ H ̀A҉ ̨H ̶A̵ ̶H ̨Á H҉ A͏ ̀A ́A!!͏"̛
Anti crowed in demonic laughter as the doctor continued to shriek in torment, one hand grabbing at the dark entity's wrist in attempt to pull the weapon away. Jack thrashed against the chains, yelling as he tried to break free. He became panic-stricken as Dr. Schneep's screaming rose higher as Anti began twisting the blade, digging it further into his victim's body.
“STOP IT!” the Irishman yelled, grimacing as the chains held him fast, the struggling only bruising him and not at all helping. “PLEASE! JUST LET HIM GO!”
Anti ignored his lighter counterpart, enjoying what he was doing too immensely, watching the doctor writhe in agony."̕҉“S̵a̶y̧ i͝t͏!” he sneered, twisting the blade further, damaging the flesh even more. “C͜-͠c̸o̷m̸e on̡,̢ good͟ ̡d͡o̸çto͞r҉! ̛SA͠Y͘ IT!̛”
Both men knew what Anti was aiming for… aiming to break them further, enforce his influence and dig his claws into them. He wanted to own them, crack and break the community to serve under his will. The more personas he took and the longer his grip on them held, the more fear and despair generated from the fan-base, the Bosses; which in turn fed him power.
"S̨A̛Y̶ ̷̶I̡T͡!"̕͘͡
“N-noh...”
“D̛o̶ yo͡u͏ ͟h́o͡n͟estly̷ ̧t͡h́in̢k̡ ͢d̷ef͘y͢i̢n͠g ̷mę, mąk͝es ̵you͠ sţro͠nǵ?͡”̨ Anti taunted with a giggle, twisting and ripping the blade out of the doctor's body, earning a sharp cry from his victim. Dr. Schneep sagged heavily in the dark entity's grip, shaking from excruciating pain. He panted and gasped in short huffs of air, trying to ride the pain out. Anti tilted his head as he watched the persona trying to stay conscious. “҉You'̷re ͘s̵o̷ ͢w̧eak̢, ̶d̕octor.́ D̵ef͟ỳin̨g̶ ͝m̷ȩ ̷ma̵kes n͘o ҉dif̨fe͞re͜n͜ce. I to̷ok̸ con͟trol͠ ̨of ̢y͞o͟u,̨ r̀e̕mȩm̧b͟eŕ?́ ́Ýo̵u'r͢e W̵EAK!͞”
“ENOUGH! Stop it, Anti!” Jack snarled, tugging and straining against the chains that held him immobile. “Or I swear-!” Anti hurled Dr. Schneep against the ground in front of him, smiling wickedly as the doctor groaned and rolled over to press his hands on the wound. The entity slammed his shoe down on both the persona's hands and wound, grinding his heel in, forcing another pained cry from him. Anti's eyes flickered over to Jack and laughed, “S̷w̸ea͞r ̛aņd d̸o͠ W̵ḨA̷T͜, J̛ack̸i̵e?̷” he inquired, brow lifted in mock interest, then wiggled his fingers. “̀Ki͘ll me̡? Heehe̶eh̛a͘h̵a̸~͜ ͏Ḿa͟k͞e m͘e ͠g͏o '͢p̢oo͜f'̵?͜”
“I swear I'll make you regret fucking with the Bosses...” The Irish YouTuber spat, glaring at him.
Anti blinked at him before bursting out into laughter, kicking Dr. Schneeplestein away from him; hard at the same time. He glitched over to where Jack was chained in short bursts before directing the chains to yank the Irishman up and to hang in the air, like a puppet. Anti pressed the tip of his bloodied knife against Jack's chin. His smile held no humor in it whatsoever.
“̡M͜y m͝y͝... It̨ lo͜o̵kś like ̀yo͢u͡'̕ve̸ ̸fo̢r̷go̡tten͝, L͞u͏c̷k̕y ͡C͏h͝a͞r͟ms.”́ he sneered with another giggle, his icy smile not fading. “Y͝o̸ur lit̶tle ̨sh͠i̷t ̛vi͞ew̨e͝r͡s w-wer̢e͠ ͏t̡h͏e ̴one̢s̶ to̶ ̛d̕ro̵p̀ ͏yoúr ͏hąp̡p̀y̧ ̛Iri͠sh ass̵ ̨i͏n ͝this͟ mȩss i̵n ̧t͜he ͟f́i͜r͞s̛t̶ p͟l̀ace!͜”͘
Anti switched the knife out for his hand, gripping Jack's jaw tight and squeezing it, threatening to break it as he forced the YouTuber to stare at him in the eye. His eyes flashed to their jet black color as his gaze bore into Jack's bright blue. “Be̢c͢a̷u̸se of̢ ́t̶h̢e̡ir fo͠ol̨is̷hnes͢s,͝ ͠J̶ack̡a̢b̡oy,̧ I͞ O͢W͡N̛ ͘Y͞OU!”
“The fuck you do...” Jack hissed, glaring at him.
Anti giggled, “͝T͞he͜y̡ c͡an͜'͝t ̢get r͞i͡d ̷o̡f ͢me an͞y͞ ͏mor̷e ̸th̨a̧n̷ yoù ́c̀o̡u͠l͜d, ̧Ja̡c̡k.͡”̢  He was amused by it all. “̸Bu̷t ķe͜ep̕ ͢re̢s̢is͡ti͟ng̛.͠..̧ Iţ ҉ma̛k̡e͢s͟ ̷it̷ ͟th͡at ́mưch̷ ́m̵ore͡ e̷ǹte̕r҉tain͡ìng to b̨re̸a̕k̡ ̧you.̧”̀
Jack growled at him.
“̵A͠n͠d wh͜e͞ǹ ̵Y̵OU ̛bre͘ak,́ ͟TH̴E̶Y'LL b̡r͝e̵ak͟.̴”͜
“I won't break. I have faith in them.”
The dark persona chuckled, giving the Irishman a victorious smile. “Yea͡h,͢ w͟e͟l͜l҉ ̕h̛a͡v̵e͠ fun̛ w͠i̴t̨h ͡t͞h͞a͘t ̸fait͡h̕ whi͏l̶e̸ y͞ou ca͞n.”͡ He patted Jack's cheek, to which the other growled again.
Chains suddenly lashed out from the darkness and latched onto Dr. Schneep, hefting him up and restraining his arms and legs. Anti smiled further as he watched the YouTuber jolt at the sight of the doctor sag within the chains' grip, drained and pale. The entity whipped around and wagged his knife at the barely conscious doctor.
“No͟w̴,̕ ͘n͠ǫw ̢do͞cto͝r̶.̕.҉.̛ d̨oń'͢t th͜ink͢ I'v͞e͘ ̡forgo̷t̶ten̢ ̸a͞b͠ou̡t ͢you~̸!͞” Anti crooned as he causally waltzed over to him, ignoring Jack's yells of protest. He giggled as his knife danced around his hands once more. “I͜ ̶s͟til̷l̷ have͠ to p͜ưnís̶h̶ yo̴u fo͞r ̸t͝h́a̧t̀ ͏l͝it́tle͜ ̕st͘un͞t͠ yǫu w̶er̕e ͜tr͞y̶i̢nǵ to̢ ́p͠u̴ll̨...̡ ̀a͠nd ͏no̧ ̵I̧ w̨o͠n͝'̕t̕ ķi͢l̡l yo͡u̢.̶ ̵T̢h͝a̵t̴'ll̛ de̶feat͜ ́tḩe͢ ͢p̀ur̕pơs͠e̛ of̸ yo͠u͠  l e a r̕ n í n g  from ͟t̨his͝,̕ yo҉ú ͢qu͞ack͠.”̴
Dr. Schneep's eyelashes fluttered weakly, getting heavier and harder to focus. Anti sneered and directed a chain to dig into the knife wound, forcing the poor persona to snap awake from new pain. “GHAAAHH!”
“Schneep!”
“͠S҉H̴U̴T!̛ ͜UP!” A chain lashed out and struck Jack across the face; leaving a cut across his cheek and effectively turning his cry of concern to a cry of pain.
Anti snarled in the Irish gamer's direction before looking at the doctor and grabbing his neck and pulled him close, the chains pulled harshly on Dr. Schneep's limbs. He gasped, trying to breathe as the entity growled into his face. “̵L̴i̵stęn͡ to ̵me͜,̛ ҉y͏ou͡ ͡w͘ast͝e͏ of m͜e͝nt͠a̴l e̸ner̴gỳ!͘ I͜'m̵ ͏goi̡ng͠ t̵o o̧n̢l̨y̷ s͜ay this͟ ̶o̸nc͠e an̴d ma͜k̢e ̡it ́per̷fec͞t͟ly͟ cle̕ar͠ ͝to ͞you!̶”̧
He began crushing the doctor's windpipe, making him choke. “Y͢ơu͏ ͡f̵uck̡ w͝i͜t͜h ͘m͞e ͘o͝ne m̧o̵rȩ ̛f͞uck̕ing̶ t̕i͡me an̡d ͘I'l͠l ̨m҉ak̷e̕ ̸DAM͜N s̕u̷r̸e͜ Çhas͞e w̷i͝l̀l̡ b̀e ̴t͡he o͜ne͟ t͟o͡ s̶uf͏f̴er!́ D̷O Y̛O̶U͡ ̕H͘EA҉R ḾE͢?!”͡
“. . .” Dr. Schneep froze in horror, thinking of his good friend suffering for his actions.
Anti squeezed harder, nearly crushing the other's neck. “ḐO YO҉U ͡UNDE̷R̴S͟T́A͢N̡D!͞?͞”
“J-ja...”
“͢Go͝o̵d ͘b̢o̵y.͠”
The dark persona shoved the doctor away with a sneer before turning and pointing his blade at Jack. His eyes vanished back to blue, staring at the YouTuber and grinning at the fact, he was forced to look at a mirror image of his own face that was nothing like him. “҉As ̴fo̴r͏ ỳo͜u͞... ͟y̴ou ̴jus̸t̛ m͜a͟de ͘ít ̶w͟or̀se̡ ̀fo͜r y̕ou̵r͟ lit͏t̕l̵e ̴v̴iew͞er͡s̡, J͡ac̨k̶.̀” He giggled and thumbed the still bloodied knife, a soothing gesture for him. “You're sick.” Jack growled.
Anti laughed, “I ́k̡now̡ r͟ig̢ht͡? ͟G͞lad̨ ýo̴u ͟not̨ic̸ed.” He twirled the blade in his hand and Jack, for once, wished Anti screwed up to have it stab into the mad persona. Anti gave them a mocking salute and walked away, leaving them strung up like marionettes.
“This ̨w̢a̡s ͟a l̶ove͝ly̨ ́tàlk̀, ̢f̕r̡i̶ȩn͘d͢s.́ ̵Let's ̢do̧ ̀ţh͠i̶s͜ ̴aģaįn ̡şom͡et҉ime ҉s̢oon. But ̶f͝o͘r ͘n̛ow͝, ͏I͢ h̀a̕v̕e͝ an ̨a̛udi͞enc̕e͜ t̡o scare͘.̶ T̷a ͞ta͘ Lu͏çkỳ ͞Ch̷a̡rm͟s̕~”̛
“̕Oh͟,͟ ̛a̢nd ҉J͜ac̵k͘... ͠b̶e͏fo͢r͟e͝ I ̀fòrg̕et.͟.̢.” Anti paused and looked over his shoulder, smiling.
“Yeah, yeah… you 'own' us and all that shit… we heard it before.” Jack snapped, giving Anti a rebellious look.
Anti laughed and shook his head, his eyes flashing back to black. “Not̷ ̸q͟uite.̡.̕. let'͠s͏ mák̡e th͏is ̸int̢o ̷a̕ ̕game͝. L̸et'̵s͠ ͜śeé wh͏ich ̡l̢asts̕ l̵o̴nge͞r͏.̧..̴ ̧Y̕OU͞R fa̕i͘tḩ...̵ a͝ga̷i̕nst M҉Y ̵c͞ont̨rǫl.҉ I̛f you̕r̛ l̴i̧t̛t͏lę ̵v̡i͜e̡w̷e̕rs ͝w̛i̴n... ̴ţh́ey̛'ļl get̸ ̢y̡o͟u͠ b̸a͝ck̨.”͢
Jack narrowed his eyes at him, “And if they lose…?”
Anti's smile turned insane. “T̀he̕iŗ soul̸s̷ will̛ ̨belo͟ng to ͡m͏ȩ. A͡s w͝eļl as̕ yo͟ur͝s. H͢eh͠e̶h̴ee~͡ ͠W͡i͜l̨ļing to͡ be͜t̴ ͝th̡ei̢r҉ liv̢es̛ o͏n y͏our̷ ̸fai҉t̨h͞?̀”͢
And with that… Anti vanished in a display of glitched effects and laughter.
Jack was silent as he stared at the spot his dark counterpart had occupied, then turned his vision to look at Dr. Schneeplestein, who hung limply in chains, trying to recover. He worried for him, worried for Chase… worried for the sixteen million people that were subbed to him. The YouTuber shivered, letting that reality sink in.
Sixteen million and counting souls that would be under Anti's control.
Jack closed his eyes and lowered his head, murmuring a prayer for the fan-base to come through together.
“Come on guys, you have to break his hold on us… we can't do it alone.”
he whispered,
“Please… we
need
your help.”

“My JSE Artist Of 2021”
(Along with a Conversation About Creating in the JSE Community)
First and Foremost, happy new year!!!
I just wanted to reflect on some things Sean touched on in his most recent video, specifically the part where he talked about not feeling “good enough” to post more “thematic based” videos.
His entire tangent really really REALLY resonated with me, to the point where I’ve literally said those EXACT same things in my own life.
It’s very hard to create and even harder to get it out there for people to react to and criticize.
Obviously, the difference between him and the average person is that if he posts something out of his normal content, he’s at the mercy of thousands of people either gassing up the content so much that it’s the best thing since sliced bread or completely shitting on him without any regard that he’s an actual human being…while I just have you lovely folks on tumblr. Even still, it’s fucking TERRIFYING to put art out there!
So, even though Sean isn’t on tumblr anymore, I wanted to direct this more at myself and any of you who are thinking about posting art on tumblr ( ESPECIALLY fanfiction). TRUST YOURSELF!
Trust that your idea is bomb and that your story is needed. Believe that there will never be anyone who writes like you, and that comparing yourself to others is useless, cause you AREN’T them! Your stories matter, your voice MATTERS!
I know that the lack of reblogs and comments can be a downer, trust me those things are so helpful and there’s no shame in feeling discouraged by the lack of numbers and interaction. But, please believe me when I tell you that, without your writing, someone could be missing out on a cool take on the egos or feel elated that someone had that idea and wrote it! Just keep at it, my love! And for any readers out there, your voice is just as important as the writers. Your love for our work and you visibly showing it through comments and reblogs with comments in the tags, does SO much more then you think.
I wanted to end this by tagging my “My JSE Artist(s) of 2021” and I’d LOVE for you guys to participate! tag the person and gush over a piece of writing, art, an edit, etc they created that was a standout for the year! (should this be a yearly thing?)
@jaeyleo is My JSE Artist of 2021! [For their INCREDIBLE Puppet Pink AU!!!]

Whumptober Day 7 The Way you Shake and Shiver
Fandom: Youtuber Egos
Characters: JSE Egos
Relationships: (Platonic)Superdrug
Prompt: Shaking Hands
Triggers: N/A
This one will be short, very short. I didn’t have many ideas with it
It happened again, and he couldn’t stop his hands from quaking. He didn’t want to move, everything was overwhelming him now. All too much.
He felt weak to the knees, as if he’d collapse anytime soon when Jackie quickly scooped him up. Henrik jumped a little bit before almost immediately clinging onto Jackie for dear life.
“One of those days huh?” Jackie tried to joke around to make his German friend cheer up but the only response he recieved was a soft whimper from him as his whole body began to shake a little.
Jackie let out a soft sigh and carried Henrik upstairs. This would be a long night with him.

Maya: Chapter 10
Part 3 of Flipped AU
Masterpost
TRIGGER WARNINGS: PHYSICAL VIOLENCE, ABUSE, CHARACTER DEATH, STABBING, STRANGULATION, MURDER
Time was ticking down, he had tried so hard to find Maya. Eventually he thought of the last place he could look: the phone book. Surely one of them would have their name and address in there, then he could finally find Maya. He flicked through the pages, Chase being the first in the line. He wasn’t there, but Anti had expected that, he probably wanted to keep his address secret from the millions of fans he never shuts up about.
Then was Jameson. He didn’t have his name in either, but again, it was what Anti expected.
He flicked to Jackie, fully expecting there to be nothing there, and he was correct.
Fourth was Henrik, but again, there was no entry.
Finally was Marvin. He scoured the pages, flicking through the T’s until he got to Turner. The M. Turners. He looked and looked, surely Marvin, an entertainer would have his phone number in the phone book. Please please please.
There he was. Marvin Turner, there were only three in the book, and only one had the title of entertainer next to them. Tentatively, he called the number, wanting to be sure it was him.
“Hello, who is it?”
“Are you Marvin the Magnificent?”
“Yes, of course I am, do you want to book me or are you wasting my time?” Anti hung up. He had found them, he had found Maya!
He wrote the address down, and almost ran out of the house then and there, until he remembered that there was going to be five against one, possibly six depending on what they had done to Maya. He hoped she was okay, that they hadn’t hurt her too badly, but knowing his brothers, that wasn’t a possibility. He just had to be ready to deal with whatever they had done to her when she got home.
In another place, exactly while Anti was hoping that Maya would come out of this with only mild trauma, she was huddled in her wardrobe, hiding from a fuming Henrik who was tearing through the house trying to find her. She had never seen him that angry before, and she was terrified that he would break her like the bottle of pills she had knocked onto the floor.
“Maya, come out here!” His footsteps got louder, and she knew he was in her bedroom.
“Where is she?” Kenna yelped as he grabbed her hair, pulling her over to the wall where he wrapped his hands around her neck.
“I.. I don’t… I—”
“Stop.” Kenna’s choked lie was broken by Maya, whispering just loud enough to be heard. Immediately Henrik dropped his grip on Kenna’s neck, letting her drop to the ground to regain her breath, and stormed over to the wardrobe, almost ripping the door off as he opened it.
“And what are you doing in here little duck?”
Any bravery Maya had displayed to protect Kenna instantly disappeared when faced with Henrik, and as such she couldn’t bring herself to speak.
“Come.” Henrik pulled Maya out of the closet, and dragged her through to his lab; she was terrified of resisting, but even more scared of what was about to happen, so she pulled back, trying to get away from him.
“Don’t fight me and this will be much easier.” The muttered words sent a shiver down Maya’s spine. Whatever he was going to do was not going to be easy, no matter how submissive she was.
They got to the lab, and Henrik pointed at the smashed bottle on the floor.
“These are expensive. Tidy up your mess.” Maya slowly got down onto her knees, but he pushed her forward, her hands landing in the pile of smashed glass. Whimpering, she looked at the glass now embedded into her palms.
“Tidy up.” He kicked her, forcing her to continue to clean despite her injuries.
When she was done, he examined the pills that were now in a new bottle.
“This won’t do, they’re bloody. You have ruined them, you stupid girl.” He grabbed the back of her shirt, dragging her back to her feet.
“You shall pay for this.” Something within Maya clicked. This was it. A certain resignation overwhelmed her; this was the end of her. There was no point in submission now, whatever she did would lead to her death, so why not go out fighting.
Screaming, she began to pull against Henrik, trying to both escape him and get close enough to him so that she could push him away. She wanted to leave a mark, anything that would remind them of what they did to her. Not that they would care, she had learned of their ways, how many deaths they caused or allowed, all for money or fame.
“Stop fighting!” Henrik seemed to become stronger the more Maya fought.
“Not until you kill me, you fucking bastard! Let me go!” She still wouldn’t give up, even when every remaining survival instinct she had was screaming at her to make it easy. And that’s when it happened.
For the first time since she joined the family; she glitched. Out of his grip, and behind him. But her surprise outweighed his, and he recovered quicker, grabbing a scalpel from his desk and shoving it into Maya’s stomach.
She didn’t scream, no sound was formed at all, just a look of pain and fear on her face. Henrik pulled it out, taking advantage of her dazed state, shoving it into her stomach again and again, until she was collapsing on the floor.
Marvin, who was the only other one home, had heard the sudden lack of commotion and had come to see what was happening. When he saw Maya crumpled on the floor, pouring blood, he sighed.
“Again Henrik? Really? You better be able to fix her, or Chase will murder you and make sure you don’t come back.”
And then he left.
...
Oh my god I love this chapter so much and I have no idea why. Tbh, my chapter notes are fricken hilarious
Anti finds the address Henrik goes stab crazy on Maya Maya just straight up fucking dies Marvin is a sassy bitch
So yeah, one of my favourite chapters even though it is pretty short. Love you guys so much and I look forward to seeing your reactions. reblogs appreciated!

Whumptober Day 4 Dead On Your Feet
Fandom: Youtuber Egos
Characters: Septiscape Henrik, Joline, Baby Emma(the child), the egos
Relationships: Henrik/Joline
Triggers: Pregnancy death, infant death, uterine rupture, premature death
Prompt: Can’t Pass Out
Henrik stood by their usual waiting spot, the same stargazing hill they met by all those years ago. Today they were on their way to the Mindscape’s Hotel Inn. They’d be meeting up with the other egos to have some fun and have a small vacation.
His wife, Joline, had been going on about how much he really needed this break. He wouldn’t lie, but he was pretty excited about this mini vacation he’d have. Around 6 months ago, Joline discovered she was pregnant with their first child. And they had already planned the name for the little one.
Emmaline or Emma, if it was a girl.
Ryder, if it was a boy.
When the others had found out about the pregnancy Chase had recommended they plan a get together some day, and today was that day.
“Henny!” A voice called. When the German turned, he smiled, seeing the woman he’d fallen in love with all those years ago walking up to him. “Are you ready to head on over?” Henrik asked, to which he got the positive response in return.
And with that they were off.
A few days in, while Henrik and Joline were out bird watching, Joline started to suddenly feel a lot of pressure. But how was that possible, the baby shouldn’t be born yet. It’s only been 6 months.
Just as soon as it passed, her water broke. She lost her balance and collapsed, only to be caught by her husband before her head hit the ground. “Joline!” Henrik had a worried and concerned expression on his face, nervous.
Joline put on a reassuring smile, weak at it’s best, on her face. “I..I’m fine Henny...Ah!” She felt a strong contraction, worrying her German husband even more. “No you’re not! You don’t just collapse if you’re alright!”
She looked up at him, her face pale with fear and confusion. “W-We need to go..the..the baby’s on it’s way..!” His face paled with the same fear and confusion as hers when those words left her mouth. But he rushed her to the hospital, deciding he’d call the others once the baby was born.
During the labor, Joline started having several complications, causing an emergency C-Section to be done. Words cannot describe how much Henrik’s hands were shaking. His phone blowing up with calls and texts which he simply ignored. He could not possibly leave his wife on such occasion, or more plainly; he couldn’t bare to leave his wife to fend for herself or die.
Henrik had finally cut the umbilical cord, and removed the placenta. He quickly stitched Joline’s abdomen up and left her to rest as he went to clean and make sure his baby girl was healthy.
While doing so, he heard it. The sound of the heart rate monitor.
It wasn’t beeping.
It flatlined..
The one thing he dreaded to hear, occurred during the situation he was scared of. He set his now daughter, only family member, Emmaline or Emma in her small crib. Rushing over to his wife he paled. Her eyes, which used to be filled with life and the nicest deep brown eyes; now pale and lifeless just as cold as her skin. He’s lost her. No pain could compare to what he felt that moment, but he had to pull himself together, for his daughter; for Emma.
Since the newborn was premature by 3 whole months, she had severe breathing issues and heart palpitations. She’d need to be under heavy watch.
Time flew by, and before he knew it. It was 3 in the morning. He hadn’t been sleeping well due to his anxiety so his eyes were heavy as he attempted to keep himself awake. He wasn’t going to let himself fall asleep, he couldn’t pass out. Not now, not yet, not until he knew she’d be alright. He’d stay up for days if he had to. He’d to anything if he needed to.
By four, he could slightly feel himself passing out. The last thing he heard was the sound of little Emma’s soft cooing noises in front of his desk.
“I can’t...pass..out...not yet..” He mumbled under his breath, head on his arms before his eyes started to flutter shut and sleep took over his body. “Can’t..pass out...” It wasn’t even a whisper anymore, he was out like a light now. And it was silent.
He woke, a good 8-9 hours later, and heard nothing. No cooing, no babbling. Not even the sound of faint newborn snores. Only dead silence.
.....
He passed out that night, and she died when he was asleep.
.....
.....
.....
That would be a guilt he’d never forget..or forgive himself for.

Whumptober Prompt #1. A Little Out of the Ordinary
Fandom: Youtube Egos
Characters: Septic Egos--{Marvin the Magnificent}
Relationships: N/A
Prompt: "This wasn’t supposed to happen..”
Marvin’s big show was in only a couple weeks, and he was very unprepared. So in a rush he decided to start practicing immediately.
“Marvin, don’t you think you should take a break now?” A very concerned German approached the magician, who hasn’t slept in four days and was starting to get burnt out. “You look burnt out, you can’t possibly go on stage looking like this..”
“Don’t worry about it Henrik, I’ll make sure to get some sleep before the show! I just need to be able to do what I need to” Marvin exclaimed, a slight sleepy grin on his face; deep bags under his eyes and slightly paler skin. His long brown hair was all messy and tangled, some strands of hair in front of his face. Henrik sighed, knowing he wouldn’t be able to convince his brother otherwise so they left it at that but made sure he let Marvin know to get some sleep before the show.
A few days before the show, Marvin decided to practice his final trick he wanted to show the crowd; showcasing a giant ring of fire and a few other illusion tricks to go along with it. He went outside, to a secluded area to practice the trick as so nobody would get hurt and the house could be undamaged.
Marvin had gotten so into the rush, he never got time to sleep like Henrik had warned him.
He thought nothing of it, as he’d just take a long nap when he comes home.
If only it would be that easy.
The day of the show, Marving waited anxiously behind the curtains; just waiting for his moment to show up. What he didn’t expect was the entire thing to come crashing down on him.
Most of the show went smoothly, a little rough around the edges but overall going good so far. Things only went downhill when he started preparing his final act.
By that time he was so exhausted, but pushed himself further to finish this and go home. But once the spell went off, instead of the “Giant Ring of Fire” he had expected, the entire stage started to go up in flames from an uncontrollable inferno from his exhaustion; having pushed himself to the limit he wasn’t able to control it all that much so his magic went haywire and the fire spread as everyone started to flee the building.
The magician collapsed. His mind blank. Barely able to catch his breath, Marvin slowly began to close his eyes..
He suddenly woke, in a hospital bed, his head pounding and an IV drip in his wrist. Henrik walked in, sighing and closing the door behind him. “I told you to be careful..I told you to get some sleep” He softly scolded.
“This..wasn’t supposed to happen...” Marvin weakly groaned, his chest burning from the smoke inhalation when he passed out on stage.
“Next time don’t push yourself too hard..promise me that” “I promise”

Maya: Chapter 11
Part 3 of Flipped AU
Masterpost
TRIGGER WARNINGS: ANIMAL DEATH, DARK MAGIC
Everyone learned of Henrik’s outbreak as they returned to the house throughout the day, however no one was able to reprimand him for it until evening, as he spent the majority of the day trying to “fix” Maya.
Eventually, after the others had eaten a very tense dinner, Henrik emerged, tired and annoyed, but safe.
“She’ll live.” He declared, before turning to leave the room.
“You do not get off that easy Henrik, you know this. I don’t care that you fixed her, if you hadn’t, we would have lost the only reason that Anti is coming here.”
“Yes, yes I understand. Get it over with.” Everyone stood, and formed a line around Henrik. Jackie, the eldest, threw the first punch, before leaving to sit down again.
The order followed down their ages, Marvin, Chase then finally Jameson. As Jameson sat back down, Henrik left the room, going to find some food before he went to bed. He didn’t care if Maya woke, or even if she was in pain: it was her fault this had happened.
Surprisingly, Chase had given in to Kenna’s pleas, and allowed her to see Maya. Maya had been half awake when Kenna had entered, and she had made sure to let her know that if she needed anything, to wake her. Not that she slept. She spent the whole night too scared to even doze. Every night she had been there had been plagued with nightmares, and Maya holding her was the only thing that would help to ward them off. But now, with Maya in the hospital bed, she couldn’t hold her, and Kenna couldn’t sleep for nightmares.
As well as this, Maya woke frequently in the night, almost like a clock, every three hours when one set of her painkillers had worn off. Really she should have been on a drip, but Kenna didn’t want to say anything, knowing that Henrik had done this to her. So, when Maya woke her up, she would give her painkillers, and help her get back to sleep, often clutching her hand.
Kenna woke up in bed, Maya nowhere to be found. It took her a moment before she remembered that she was in the hospital. But she had been there with her, who had moved her? She didn’t remember falling asleep, but maybe she had. She glanced at the clock, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. It was almost midday! She jumped out of bed, swapping her pyjamas for clothes and rushed to the door. Wait, she had never put pyjamas on last night. A shudder ran through her as she thought of one of Maya’s uncles changing her, but she tried to suppress it; she wanted to get back to Maya. She turned the door handle and tugged, but it wouldn’t budge. Pulling harder, she started to panic. Someone had locked her in!
“Let me out!” She banged on the door, making as much noise as she could. Eventually it opened, a tired looking Marvin on the other side.
“Look, just shut up okay. Nobody got any sleep last night, just because you did, doesn’t mean you can start causing a scene.”
“I…” Marvin’s abruptness startled her somewhat. “I just want to see May.”
“Later, okay? She’s asleep and we want her to stay that way; she kicked up a real fuss after you went to bed, bust all her stitches, and didn’t let any of us sleep. She needs to calm down on her own.”
“Okay.” Kenna went to move around Marvin and out of the room, but he continued to block the door. “Can I get some breakfast?”
“No, to make sure you don’t disturb her, we’re going to keep you here today. We’ll bring you food when we eat, but that’s it.” Before Kenna could argue, Marvin had shut the door, and she heard the lock click.
Meanwhile, the rest of the uncles were sat in the kitchen, discussing Maya.
“We know Anti is coming; he could show up any second, so we need Maya to be ready.” Jameson said. “And right now, she isn’t.” Everyone nodded.
“There is nothing more I can do for her, it will take time for her to heal.” Henrik spoke, defensive over his earlier outburst.
“We know, but Anti can’t show up with her like this, otherwise he could just take her away. We need her on her feet and fighting for us.” Now Chase was almost yelling: they didn’t understand the importance of this.
“Look,” Jackie spoke, “I’ll talk to Marvin, see if he can help speed up the process and what the cost would be.”
“Good, go and do that, sooner rather than later.” Jackie stood from the table, and left to find Marvin.
“Hey Marvin,” Jackie waved awkwardly as he walked towards him.
“What do you want?”
“Well, Anti is going to be here by the end of the week, and Maya isn’t going to be ready by then. We were wondering if you could maybe sort that for us?” He laughed nervously.
“You want me to heal her? Is she still that bad?”
“Yeah, she’s still completely out of it. Henrik said she died twice when he tried to save her. She’s really lucky to be alive, but we need her fighting in a few days.”
“It’s a powerful spell, you know, so it will be costly.”
“And what will it cost?”
“A life. An animal should do, like a dog or a cat. On second thoughts, best keep it a dog.”
“How soon can you do it?” Jackie was hesitant, the idea of killing a dog mildly upsetting him. “How soon can you get me a dog?” Marvin smirked, and Jackie left.
A few hours later Jackie returned, half dragging a dog behind him. It was so old it could barely walk, and the shelter had been days away from putting it down.
“So this is what you brought me?” Marvin smirked.
“Look, it was going to get put down in a few days anyway, and it’s a living breathing dog, so it will work, right? What’s the difference?”
“Nothing, nothing at all. It’s just strange seeing you so compassionate.”
“Shut the fuck up.” Marvin cut off his laughter, trying to keep a straight face as Jackie covered the dog’s ears and kissed it’s head.
“Alright, help me get him up the stairs and I’ll leave you alone.”
The spell started, and Marvin took some of the blood in his hands, lifting it above a candle before letting it drip into the flame. He muttered some words, drawing symbols, before the dog disappeared, and he felt a surge of power rush through him. It wouldn’t last long, these forces were out for what they could get. He rushed through to Maya’s bedside, and chanted some more words, watching as the pallor of her face softened, before letting Henrik check that the wounds were fully healed. They were.
