check out these really cute pictures of Garrett Wang, Jennifer Lien, Ethan Phillips and Roxann Dawson... I don't think I've ever seen them before!

In 1967, a hippie named Henry Starling found the remains of spacecraft from the 29th Century that had come back through time because of a time rift. Starling copied the technology and started his own company called Chronowerx that lead to the micro computer revolution in the 1990’s. ("Future’s End", Star Trek Voyager, TV)

I know it's an unpopular opinion but I don't care, I really really loved Kes and I just watched her final episode and I'm so incredibly sad to see her go. I thought Jennifer Lien was phenomenal right up to the end, and it really shows how much the show must have loved her with how beautiful of a sendoff they gave her.
There have been so many other cases of Star Trek actresses being given unceremonious write-offs by sexist producers, but this was clearly not one of them. Her final scene with Janeway in her quarters was so incredibly heartfelt and had me sobbing as hard as Kate Mulgrew was.
I've posted about it before but I'll say it again, I know Lien has had a troubled life, but I truly feel the work she did on Voyager was impeccable and moved me deeply, and I wish her only peace and stability.

“The Gift” (S04E02, Stardate 51008) is a fitting sendoff for Kes, and a solid welcome for Seven. Janeway's balancing act between saying goodbye and welcoming this new family member is well handled by Kate Mulgrew, and there are some solid conversations about individuality and identity throughout.
My poster here features the final appearance of Kes (until a bit later, but we won’t talk about that right now) and the introduction of 7 of 9 as a part of the crew.
