hey friends, i'm coming back briefly on here for a message, if anyone is around. i'll be back soon.
there is a genocide happening in palestine. this genocide is being perpetrated by the illegitimate, colonial, fascist state of israel, and aided by every single major western power.
as someone born in the war in bosnia, i want to make one thing clear: every time that the world has let something like this happen over the past 70 odd years, it's allowed it to happen to muslims. bosnia, rohingyas, uygurs, palestinians, countless others. there is empathy in all places as long as they aren't muslim.
i urge you to examine your immediate reactions to a woman in a hijab or the words allahu akbar. i urge you to examine what narratives you've been exposed to even inadvertently.
i promise you muslims are just regular people. our families fight and rejoice and cry in the same ways as yours. we can grow up to be bad or good just like you can. if they kill all of us we won't get the chance to rewrite the story that's been written for us, against us, in our place. please don't let them keep killing us.
fandom is political. love is political. don't underestimate what being open and explicit can do.

Julie sings to Sally (and possibly other neighbors) over the phone before bed🌸💫
I have not seen anyone talking about this, and I am so surprised! However, I did notice something odd…
Tumblr media
This excerpt is directly from the transcript of Happy Haunting to Boo and Yours. In this transcript, Sally says no to all the neighbors silly suggestions as to why they all stay indoors at night. However! If you listen to the audio itself, you will hear Sally say “What!? No, sometimes, and no!” Interesting! So Julie and Sally sing to each other good night before bed? According to Sally they do “sometimes”.
The transcript is not accurately conveying what was said, but why? I think this line was censored because the implications of two femme characters singing good night to each other was a little too gay for Playfellow and Marlo’s comfort. There have been theories around censorship in Welcome Home, and how possible queer relationships are being hidden from the audience, and I think this is a great and subtle example. It’s possible even that the audio WHRP heard truly did have Sally say “no” to all three responses. We already know that WHRP can’t hear a huge chunk of this story, so they may also be oblivious to the smaller differences that we, the audience, are hearing.
I will be lookout for more subtle queerness, especially in the next update! Did y’all notice any other differences in the transcript? Please do tell!

hey while on the subject of Welcome Home, I'd like to talk about something I found interesting (tl;dr at the bottom)
so the team uncovered a toy telephone, one of those where you can dial the characters and they give you a pre-recorded answer, right?? But the thing about these pre-recorded messages is that they're supposed to reply to the kid, no matter what they're saying or if they're saying anything it at all, y'know? So it is incredibly interesting that the messages shown are that of the characters responding to silence.
the person on the phone says nothing, and the characters, upon hearing nothing, respond with "hello? hello are you there"s like any other person; they start talking as their character and when it becomes clear the person on our line isn't going to respond, they end the call
And here's where it gets more interesting, and it has everything to do with Eddie Dear
So you see, all the characters have different responses to the silent call before leaving: Barnaby tells a joke, Julie invents a game, Poppy thinks she might've broken the phone and tries to fix it (unsuccessfully), and Sally assumes they have stage-fright, just to name a few examples.
But then you hear Eddie's call
He starts off with the post office jingle and when no one answers, he tries singing the jingle again, this time a longer version and he quickly runs out of breath
It is then that he thinks to himself "maybe there's no one there"
He is the ONLY CHARACTER in the cast that even CONSIDERS this; and seconds later he is the ONLY ONE that begins to QUESTION the NATURE OF THIS CALL
LOOK AT HIS DIALOGUE
Tumblr media
DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE????
The other characters assume it's a prank call or some other excuse, but Eddie is the only one who wonders; the only one who begins to contemplate like "wait, why am in a call anyway?"
add this to other Eddie events like the santa commercial and homewarming...
I think he's actually waking up. hell, who's to say he isn't already awake? and this only makes me scared of what will happen to him.
speaking of which, I read another theory earlier that said that perhaps the reason this is all happening to him is that the Playfellow Workshop was planning on removing him from the show because they felt he was "insignificant" or simply didn't add anything other than being the mailman, and they slowly started removing his presence from the media (the way he's skipped on the santa's toys commercial thing and that other episode when wally and Barnaby go around asking everyone EXCEPT Eddie what homewarming is) until they could get rid of him completely.
what do you guys think?
tl;dr = looking at the toy phone responses, it's weird that they have a line replying to silence seeing as that's not the point of the toy, and also it's weird that Eddie Dear is the only character who, out of all the other responses, is the only one to acknowledge the odd nature of the call. my theory is that Eddie might be the next (assuming Wally and/or Home to be the first ones self-aware) to wake up from the puppet illusion, paired with another theory that the company was trying to remove Eddie from the show

About the Single Pea- after watching the commercial video, I think this section on the cookbook page relates to the video itself, especially the ending:
Tumblr media
When Eddie is handed his pea on a plate, he's surrendered his role as mailman to the other neighbors for the day. He's at Wally's homewarming party, but he's the only one without something to do. And when he consequently dissociates and gets a fourth-wall break, he's the only one seeing beyond the curtain of the puppet world. This is a set, with felt and fabric and props. Drawn out with pencils and pens. His world is real, but it's also just a story.
Eddie's being ignored prior to Homewarming was not a freak accident- whoever orchestrated everyone to forget him (Home, possibly?) was trying to make him feel like nobody needed him so they could erase him from the neighborhood and pull him into our reality.
Why would this happen? What could be so egregious with Eddie's character that his existence would be declared unnecessary?
Well, who's always seen alongside Frank, portrayed as his best friend, their shared love for nature playing off each other like a harmony that may be just friendship but may be something even deeper?
How are mailmen and entemologists related, actually? How could they ever be as compatible as flora and fauna? They simply clash too much, it's not natural, it's not right.
(though Julie is often too exuberant for the more mellow Frank, and his seriousness and logic and Eddie's earnestness and love of literature blend together perfectly; also Frank is nonbinary and Julie is genderfluid and they're gay and pan respectfully so no combination of the three is really "straight"; people aren't confined to narrow strands of fate but puppets are subject to their masters)
And yet, someone pulled Eddie back to his side, called him by his first name when they'd only been on last name terms before.
Two peas were placed close together.
(edited to fix a grammatical typo and add extra clarification at the end)

WELCOME HOME SPOILERS!!!
I wanted to put out a few theories and things i've noticed throughout these updates so here they are!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1- Smooth.
We keep seeing Barnaby all over these commercials with the words 'Smooth' repeated multiple times like the cigarettes and the dog food commercial, it is unclear what for but we know that Home may be jealous of Barnaby, in the last update we see someone (Home??) telling Barnaby to MOVE (Idk is figuratively or literally) But in the last update with the video of Wally and Home we see Home get a bit frustrated at Barnaby and he is the only one realizing Wally space out (Home controlling Wally most likely) But immediately after Barnaby says 'Wally' Home gets out of his head and cuts the video. Something MAY happen to Barnaby and the words 'Smooth' could have some type of hint towards it since we keep seeing Barnaby the most out of everyone, even more than Wally.
Tumblr media
2- Julie Theory
Tumblr media
We see this image of Julie before right? Well in the recent update we see more and more people snap out of their trance, not just Frank. It is most likely JULIE is next.
Tumblr media
We see flowers EVERYWHERE in Welcome Home, and we know that Julie can speak with the flowers, talk to them and gives them kisses (which is adorable) But maybe Julie is going to use that to her advantage to get information in the town to find out what's really happening, or might hear something from her flowers that tell her this. We see one flower with eyes already, so maybe others might have as well? And we see Julie is always on Frank's side (or usually) even agreeing with Frank on homewarming, maybe she is next or will be against everyone but i'm really confident about the flower thing lol
Just things i've noticed though so this may not be true at all though.

Welcome Home Theory: Why Sally Does Not Like Eddie
Tumblr media
I want to discuss why I think Sally does not like Eddie/isn’t friendly with him. I think Playfellow had intended to make Sally and Eddie a couple in the show. Just like how Julie and Frank are being misread intentionally as a straight couple, Playfellow’s goal with Eddie and Sally was to have them connect just enough that straightness could be assumed.
Sally knows that she is being pressured into an unwanted relationship with Eddie, thus she is intentionally making their relationship as distant as possible. We know she knows this agenda because Sally was the one to point out that Julie and Frank made a good couple. She did this to protect them.
You see, Frank and Julie are close friends on and off camera, so Playfellow presenting them as a straight couple would be extremely easy. Sally wants to protect their friendship, and she knows that the only way to do that is to lean into the lie.
In theory, Eddie and Sally should be friends at least. He obviously enjoys theater, prop making, and make up, all of which you’d assume Sally would love about him. But she keeps him at arm’s length. Why? Because she knows that any positive relationship between him and her would be twisted into them being a couple. I think Eddie is oblivious to this. He may only understand that he and Frank must remain distant when being watched, but Sally would have no reason to explain to Eddie why she doesn’t interact with him.

New Official Welcome Home Theory
The person Wally is talking to is from the Restoration Team, which the rest of the members seem to be against- the person who Wally is communicating with- is the black sheep of the team. You will see that in the hidden page where the passcode is needed. BSPJW is the password by the way.
That is also who Wally is referring to when he says in his new "prank call" audio "Keep working" because this person is the main one working to combine all the clues together while feeling left out by the rest of the Restoration Team.
This one is the apple of Wally's eye, which is why he says he loves them.
This person also seems to be experiencing some illusions, maybe they have sort of an unstable mental state, as you will see in the hidden page, they have spirals drawn on post cards, there are eyes, they're either dreaming or having illusions (caused by Wally?) of Wally sitting on the foot of their bed with a phone because he wants to communicate with them.
That's why all of the audios when you click each bug says "Answer" because Wally wants this person to answer his calls.
All of this is why I don't believe Wally is naive like we think he is. Maybe he was before his awakening, but his current self isn't at all. He's learned to code on computers, he's seemingly casting illusions as a way of communication, he's the only one that's aware his life is fictional which is why all of the audios (when you click on the bugs) ends with each character saying Wally's name in a distorted way.
-Because that's what his predicament is; distortion of life. Unreality if you will, like Clown tags each time he posts about Wally.
On that note, I'd like to end this observation with a small theory. Considering this ONE person from the RT is the one Wally is communicating with, I assume something is wrong with both the team AND Playfellow Workshop.
Wally and Home are crying out for help- for answers. None of them are the villain. I do believe Wally has been driven to slight insanity because of his situation, so he's questionable at best- but these two aren't the villains.
Playfellow Workshop is the problem and the Restoration Team (excluding the person Wally has chosen to talk with) doesn't exactly seem like a reliable source.
That's all I have for now.

How do you color your art!? Like color theory and stuff!! Your art looks so vibrant and gorgeous!!!
I like your Circus AU very much, Julie looks absolutely adorable haha!!
Babe im gonna be real with you, I just fuck around and find out--
Okok but in all honesty, I dont know. My main tip when it comes to coloring is knowing the value (darkness and lightness of colors). Your art could have the wackiest colors as possible but if you nail the values right, it will work out
Another thing, pride flags lowkey actually highkey are useful as references for color combos. Some peeps actually pointed out how Dolly's hair is the lesbian flag and yeaps--
Also also thanks! Have this Julie! Im still figuring out the other peep's designs but her's is pretty much set lol (i used the trans flag as a color guide hkabjdggjagjdg)

We all know that something is going on with Wally and Home, but who else could be active behind scenes?
Frank Frankly:
Frank has been here since the Beta, so it's likely Clown Coffin has something planned for him.
Frank is obviously designed by Clown Coffin to be incredibly at odds with the rest of the neighbourhood; with his more reserved personality, less saturated colour scheme and lack of an "-ie" sound at the end of his first name.
He is the bug expert in Welcome Home, and there are literal bugs all over the website that happen to be linked to the Wally POV videos.
As the "smartest neighbour," it seems he would be one of the first to notice something wrong with the neighbourhood.
Eddie Dear:
Has the most mysterious backstory out of the neighbours.
His memory problems seem to go beyond being "forgetful" and into "plot relevent."
The envelopes the Restoration Project recieved match the ones Eddie is seen carrying and possibly made himself.
Sally Starlet:
Like Wally, she has devil allusions as the "brightest star" who "fell from heaven."
She is an actress, making it fitting for her to become aware of being in a tv show, and she would likely be very invested in bringing it back.
She has openly conversed with the Narrator.
If any of the neighbours had to be villains, I think Sally Starlet has the potential be the coolest!
Howdy Pillar:
Howdy played a role in the Wally Plush advert.
If Capitalism played a role in the show's downfall, shopkeeper Howdy would be good character to explore how making money often comes in the way of creativity!
Julie Joyful:
She has been here since the Beta and had that ominous image centred around her.
If Frank were to figure something out, it's almost certain that Julie would be there right beside him!
Barnaby B Beagle:
Barnaby has been here since the Beta.
There is a LOT of ominous imagery surrounding Barnaby that makes me genuinely concerned for the guy.
Despite his careless act throughout the videos, he was the first to acknowledge Wally's off behaviour.
Barnaby was physically present during the live interview alongside Wally.
Poppy Partridge:
Like Julie, Barnaby, and Frank; Poppy has been here since the Beta.
Poppy is a hermit who is scared to go outside. Maybe this isn't just a cute character quirk that the creators programmed into her, but because she knows something about the neighbourhood.
