I've been reading:

Otherside picnic (Sci-fi horror yuri)

I only got to start off a bit of book 5 so I'm trying to get back into reading that since there are some fun bits that I've been hearing

It's a long time favorite of mine ever since the anime started airing (I believe?）

The Princess of Sylph (Fantasy comedy Yuri by @/kamenoko5020 on twitter, you can also find their pixiv there as well)

I've been enjoying the story and art style of this one!

Also, there's a character that reminds me of a friend, mainly from the name

Tsukuritai onna to tabetai onna (Yuri that focuses on food)

This manga series also had a live-action adaptation, which was a wonderful show to watch so if you're interested in watching, there's that!

Double house (1998)

It's probably one of the few yuri series that i actually enjoyed how they handled their trans characters, and it's something that i wanted to get a reread soon to give myself another coat of thought (if i can call it that)

But at the end of the day, when she's rubbing her temples, her team brings her hot tea and one of Perfumer's newest works and Popukar sits on her lap to hug her and thank her, and she stays.

The thud of the door closing behind them echoes the rhythm floating in their chest. Ribs hum along with a beat too loud, too incessant to ignore, though they still do their best to pretend.

Safe. They're still safe.

Oisein's hair drifts forward as they move, a lingering hand falling away from the cool metal doorknob while fingertips scrape against wood. The soft smile endures as well, the most genuine one they've had since arriving to Renescen, and whiskey tinges their sigh.

Following the other sheevra had been easy enough, but to see them face to face? To be able to stay without condemnation?

Smile shifts to victorious grin and the song that's hovering at the edge of their thoughts threatens to crescendo. Warmth that reaches and weaves through their veins and around their bones, gathering at the top of their spine and spreading to the soft skin behind their ears.

Here, away from the rest of the Clan, away from Saor, away from their world-

When all this was sorted...maybe then?

But the doubt rudely intrudes, as it always does. Throws open their mind and laughs, a reminder that hope could never be their harbor.

Safe.

For now.

Oisein's step halts for a moment before they press on, trying to leave the thought in the shadows of the inn's hall with their face settling into something more unsure.

More afraid.

Another voice, jeering, pitched, powerful, fills their mind.

"Don't be a fool," it scolds from the past. Jagged words carving at the sheevra's flesh, the tone tired, but unsurprised. "Return to the Sanctum. This is your last warning."

A wayward palm holds at their collar, hiding the freckles splashed on their skin. Fingers drop to the center of their chest, the quickening pulse in their fingers reaching for its origin.

"And if I don't?"

The marks don't show past the illusion hiding their shame, but Oisein can still feel the rough edges, tracing a path across every cruel stroke.

Surrender comes easier sometimes, a chill suppressing and stilling the blond's blood as they press closer to the wall, shirt fabric twisting in their grip.

No.

Not then.

Not ever.

Realized you may not have seen my reblog when taking into account that you probably have substantially more Tumblr notifications then my average of two lol.

But for othercide the bug I was running into that killed it for me was that enemy melee units would make attacks at range. Which caused me to lose a daughter or two and was very disheartening.

They'd spawn in, not move and then attack a daughter on the other side of the map. It's possible I misunderstood a mechanic somewhere but the intial googling I did did not turn up any information aside from a couple of people with similar issues but no information on preventing it.

Oh goodness that's beyond fucked up, no, I've not had that issue myself, that sounds pretty critical, it must have been something they fixed ASAP. I've not encountered it at all.

Most similar thing is an Infected using its ranged attack on me the turn it spawned, which it shouldn't be able to do, but it only happened one time and thankfully it is a weak, if annoying, attack, not a whole ass melee attack.

Try giving it another go, I'd say, it's likely they corrected it. I've read about people saying they did fix a lot of bugs.

I remember listening to your music for the first time 7ish years ago I believe. I would have been 16? A friend recommended it to me. Now here I sit here 7 years later. In what is surely a coincidence I believe im now the same age as you were back then, 23. It's partly why I'm writing this, the musings of someone who should be sleeping but instead is writing on his phone. I don't know how much of an impact your music and blog has on my life, I've certainty listened to it alot. It's interesting you know you have no idea who I am and have never met me and yet you've affected my life in some ways. And now im randomly through Tumblr sending you my thoughts as I lie awake. I wonder if I've ever affected others people who I've never known? Classmates? Strangers on busses? People who lurk in discord channels and read but never respond. It's a little crazy all the different ways we unintendedly interact with the world. I think thats enough 1am thought vomit from me though. I don't know what you'll think of this but it's been nice getting to see a fraction of who you are through your blog, tattoos, mannerisms, music. Which sounds stalker ish now that I say it. People are infinitely interesting but sleep I must.

As a human being lying awake at 1 am sleeplessly myself I quite enjoyed this message lol, and I feel very similarly. People and they way we all relate to and influence one another is so complex and interesting...

I dont... really think theres really any specific weapon that sticks out to me that much? like alot of them are either kinda standard weapons or very big and unwieldy haha

like plat just has a compound bow Mudrock has a sledge hammer with a hymn on it? and then theres Rosmontis.. or Blaze

I guess I would like maybe scavenger’s or grani’s ?

What oc most occupies your thoughts right now and what are they like?

Rigby and Siomari! Actually they've been here nonstop since 2019 I believe? They've been around for a while, and even if I jumped interests, I always think back to these two since I adore my time developing their design and characteristics, even now!

For Rigby, she's quite a hot head/energetic energy that she has most of the time but tries her best to be kind to others, although a friendship with another person might say otherwise (on the outside)

Now for Siomari, it's kinda hard to spell out for what words best describes her but I think that's part of the fun when it comes to writing her and her concepts, but if I could try, I'd say she's trying her best to float by with circumstances at hand

2017? Rigby was literally a shounen character that you would see in a sequel series (there was supposed to be another character that acted as a mentor type that came from the earlier parts of the story)

2018-9? Siomari was an artist/archeologist that found Rigby somewhere (actually I think I still have the drawing where she was just an artist)

I reread your post of ifrit as an arts guard and 1 I love it but 2 I was wondering if you had any other thoughts of what alters would be cool to see? Narratively or otherwise.

Hm... I want to see the hints we got from Jessica's new sprite for one. Ave says it looks like on top of her gun, she's got some sort of mount/emplacement, so I'm curious about the implications for her alter's skills... and of course, the new profile lore/voice lines we'll get.

Outside that... I think it'd be cool to see a Melantha Musha/enmity guard alter. Her swordsmanship is remarked on as being unique, drawing on both fencing and Yan's swordmanship (thank you Shutters for the catch!). Which are, from what I understand, on the 'two ends' of stabbing versus slashing, at least in Arknights. I'd enjoy seeing Melantha's growth as a team captain.

On a similar note, Franka. Often overshadowed by said kiddo above, what with the trade-off of all her defense to essentially deal consistent true damage being a gamble... which was kinda rendered moot by them dropping Surtr in the game. With her upcoming module, a max pot Franka will have a base 28% chance to ignore defense, which translates to a 70% if S2 M3... if you're willing to get her module up to level three. And unless you're a certified 'trickster fox with a streak of undying loyalty and issues expressing that in a straightforward manner' fucker, you're probably just gonna invest in a Caster, Supporter, or y'know. A guard who can do Arts damage. I'm less sure of what alternates you could develop for her, her image being very centred around her being a fencer, but... well, they did give Ch'en a water gun.

...Though perhaps hilariously, if they did give Franka an alter at this point, she'd be the one(?!?) launch five star with no skin, and now any skin would only be useful with one version.

Are there any legendary feats of magic that have been done in the past of your world? Ones talked about as tales of myth and legend? Any you could share or would it be too spoilery?

Not too spoilery, it’s part of Amaran’s history!

The most legendary bard was Han’maerani, known more commonly as Han. She was the first bard - aka, the first musician to cast magic. 

She was known to have a four-stringed lute and a bow of blackest wood, and she was granted power by the gods to defeat a great evil - a pretender god that later became known as The False One. Han rose to save the world many times over many centuries, far longer than the natural lifespan of any regular half-elf. 

Because of her long life, she was able to hone her magic to complete mastery, to the point that she was able to cast even without music. There are many anecdotes passed around of Han’s feats of magic, but the validity of them are often contested. 

Sorry for the intentional vagueness, I do want to leave SOME details for the demo ;)

15? Favourite boardgames. Also I have no idea what music you like but I've been listening to fathers lament by poor man's poison a fair bit today for a rec.

so for some reason The Game of Life (the boardgame) has always been a favorite of mine. I have a couple friends who are really into boardgames and have several they like to rotate through, so i’ve tried a couple and Betrayal at the House on the Hill is pretty fun, even if it does spook me often. I tend to like card games (like anomia, cards against humanity, apples to apples) better than boardgames and these friends also got me into tabletop RPGs. I’m in two and a half D&D groups right now. can I tell you a secret though?I don’t really love boardgames because I’m extremely self conscious of the choices I make during them, even though in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter that much. also I do have a favorite d&d group (but shhh, don’t tell the others).
