Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a show I used to watch all the time, so I'm excited for the Buffy Tarot by Casey Gilly and Karl James Mountford! A cool, modern design, and the choice of images seems to reflect the original card meanings well so far.

I love your art style. What's it called? WAITHOLDON I'm not an AI artist trawling for prompt words. I've just seen you and some other people too draw like that, too, where everything's sort of thin and sharp, and by god it reminds me of SOMETHING from my childhood, some illustration or cartoon, but I can never place it. The closest examples I could find when someone I'm commissioning asks (link for proof once again bc that also sounds like something someone trolling for AI prompts would say and credit to @eamhhair) is the children's book cover illustrations of Karl James Mountford, but that never felt like it was the full answer. I know at least for me, whatever it is that's in my memory is NOT the Edgar and Ellen show, despite it fitting all the criteria. As someone who is one of the artists I see drawing in the ballpark of the thing I'm having difficulty remembering, which were your core inspirations?
Thanks! Most of my inspiration came from Edward gorey, coraline concept art, and Hark A Vagrant

Further designs
here are some more designs I created as I didn't feel that my previous ones worked well with how I wanted the final outcome to look.
I really enjoyed this style of illustration and was inspired by Karl James Mountfords work on children and young adults book covers
