I woke up feeling so very nostalgic.

Here's a random fact about me: I can't sleep without music, so I always pick a random playlist before I go to sleep. Last night's playlist just happened to be one I've had since I was a teenager. It is filled with the J-Pop & K-Pop groups I was a huge fan of when I first became a J-Pop & K-Pop fan. Most of which groups are on hiatus, disbanded or have lost members for various reasons.

And right now, I just really, really miss them. So I'll be spending the next few (read: several) hours watching old YouTube videos of them.

All Treasure!: Miyadate Ryota

[Sweat]

My sweat from Jr. days is the sweat of my youth. I am aware that I sweated more than others! Sweat from very intense training, sweat from dancing harder than others, sweat from rehearsals... You can shine in the performance as much as your hard work and sweat during practice. I still believe that even now. It’s just an excuse for sweating (laughs). If we’re going to talk about the time I broke out in a cold sweat then it’s the time I appeared in “Dokkiri GP”! I was really shocked when the reflector board hit my head!

[Tears]

The last time I cried was at the end of 2020 when our withdrawal from Kouhaku Uta Gassen was decided. It’s something I can talk about now... That time I was really relieved that I am the only one who got infected, but at the same time I also thought “Why am I the only one...?” I was hurt by the words that I suddenly heard, and it was harder to bear them emotionally than physically. I didn’t know what I should work hard for after that, and the tears didn’t stop. That time “Santaku” started showing on TV. At the show, Kimura (Takuya)-san was singing “Ganbarimashou” (by SMAP). I cried the most as soon as I heard him singing. After crying it out, I was finally able to think “I’ll do my best after all...”!

[Heart Pounding]

I was able to attend KAT-TUN’s live performance. It was a mature stage. The range between the numbers from their early days and their recent songs was great, and it was very enjoyable. Believe it or not, Kamenashi (Kazuya)-kun called me after their performance! Living in a world where I am told “Thanks for today. How was the performance?”... I do not mean to one-up all the KAT-TUN fans! Please allow me to brag... no, to share about how my heart pounded when I heard Kamenashi-kun’s voice after their live performance.

[Friendship]

My friend hasn’t changed. It’s a close friend who I have known since my high school days. We weren’t from the same high school! We met through an acquaintance... saying it like this makes it seem like we’re a couple (laughs). He kindly says both my good and bad points. Calling me out like “That’s not a good way to say it” when I say something bad. I also can say anything to him. I should thank my friend who introduced us to each other.

[Club Activities]

I was in the soccer club in my 1st year of middle school. There were a lot of kids who were good so I was always a ball boy. That’s why I quit. The club I have always been interested in is the Equestrian club! I was surprised that the outfit today matched my preference!
