Just hear me out a sec:

AU where Usagi and Minako are twin sisters and Motoki and Unazuki are their step siblings. And then Shingo is their half brother.

Usagi and Minako are from Ikuko's first marriage/pregnancy but didn't get married (which is common)

Motoki and Unazuki are from Kenji's first marriage

Shingo was born after Kenji and Ikuko were married.

Instead of Mr. Furuhata (who would technically be Kenji in this case) owning the Crown Arcade, its their uncle who owns it.

Undone

This is actually a more recent work. I first posted this on FFN in March 2018, but the first few paragraphs were written well before that. Well before I even knew what the plot of this story was going to be. I had originally intended for it to be about an argument between Mamoru and Usagi about how he treats her intelligence, but then I got to the part where she had to speak to her parents about her grades, and the rest of the story kind of took off from there. I was really happy with this story when I wrote it- I still am, in fact. I like writing the friendships among the girls, and between the girls and Mamoru. Looking back on it now, though, I wish I had spent a little more time on the dynamic between Rei and Usagi. I think I just want to explore the dynamics in that friend group more in general. Hopefully I'll be inspired to come back to Sailor Moon in the very near future.

In your hcs, does Usagi's parents ever find about her being a sailor guardian?? Or any of the other guardian's parents??

Yes, they do! Both Usagi’s parent and Ami’s mother do find out within months of the whole supernatural shenanigans happening.

I have fan art and a comic about it too!

I love having Saeko (Ami’s mother) and Ikuko (Usagi’s mother) kind of bond over it and strike up an unlikely, but meaningful friendship.

Other than them tho, Kenji finds out with Ikuko, and I also think Rei’s grandfather would eventually put 2 and 2 together, but he would stay silent about it, seeing Rei happier than ever and also knowing talking to her wouldn’t accomplish much, he would never change her mind.

I see Mina coming from a big family with lots of siblings, so her parents never fully figure it out and they just think Mina spends her time messing around and getting into stupid fights and problems like she’s always done.

Naturally, I got about to writing a wee ficlet instead of doing work I get paid for... See below for "The Horror of Azabujuban"...

“What… the hell… is THAT?” Usagi froze mid step upon entering the family room.

“You don’t like it, dear?” Ikuko twirled before her.

Usagi’s throat went dry as her mouth hung open in shock. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

And yet, if she wasn’t seeing it with her own eyes, she wouldn’t have believed it. You couldn’t make this shit up. Her mother proudly in front of her in the shortest skirt imaginable paired with knee high boots.

“Are you…” Usagi cleared the lump from her throat. “Are you supposed to be…”

She was interrupted by her father barging into the room brandishing a single red rose. Usagi blinked in disbelief as her parents swooned at each other. Her stomach churned as her mother reached up with a gloved hand to trace the outline of her father’s domino mask.

Usagi was sure she would never look at Mamo-chan the same way ever again…
