“So who’s your celebrity crush then?” Bella asks her best friend of years, intentionally after talking openly about their celebrity crush. You share a striking resemblance too, hoping maybe this information would spark something in you. Your too oblivious to connect the dots.
“Hmm…. Right now?” You pause in a attempt to shuffle through all the random celebrities you’ve found attractive.
“Probably Kristen Stewart.” Bella is surprised by you answer.
“Kristen Stewart?” They ask, slack jawed.
“Yeah I rewatched all the twilight movies last week. I used to be team Edward but now I think I’m team Bella. It’s actually absurd that we let those men get away with everything they did.” You explain, going off on a tangent about Twilight. Bella half listens, trying to understand if you said Kristen because you might be gay or because you liked twilight.
“She has a whole ass fiancé, I’m shit out of luck.” You sigh dramatically before going back to your phone. Bella forces a laugh, more confused than when they started this conversation.
“But doesn’t matter, I got my own Bella.” You tease with a wink unknowingly adding to Bella’s distress.
“Edward was a creep, a whole ass stalker. Imagine if she woke up when Edward broke in to bedroom to watch her sleep. If my boyfriend did that shit, he’d get kicked to the curb so quick.” Bella groans out loud on accident causing you to look up from your phone.
“Okay I know you don’t like him but-“ You speak quickly interrupted.
“Yeah cause he’s a dick. Way worse than Edward Cullen ever was.”
“First of all, you’ve never seen twilight. Second of all, I don’t think you’ve ever liked anyone I’ve ever dated.” You respond, your tone sassy. Bella doesn’t respond only because she cannot pretend why she’s never liked your new boyfriends. Your “love” for them never lasted long, moving onto the next one with ease. They wished desperately you’d forget about the male population as a whole.
“It’s because I like you.” Bella says, not entirely registering the words as they come out.
“I like care about you, you deserve someone better.” Nice save, Bella thinks. Internally screaming to themself you deserve them.
“Aww I like care about you,” you respond sarcasm heavy on your voice, eyes on your phone. Bella rolls her eyes in response. That’s one thing Bella loved so badly about you, you were just as sarcastic and could always banter with you. More often than not they couldn’t keep up with your attitude.
Bella was in town for a few weeks, break between their filming. She had missed you so much the l last few months, promising her self she was gonna do something about it this time. When it’s time for the two of you to part, Bella steals on you hoodies.
“Where the fuck are you going with that?” You ask mostly joking, when you notice.
“I want it,” Bella argues. Not wanting to admit that she’s been stealing from you on the low. Just taking little things, now and then. Nothing you’d ever miss but it means everything to Bella. To have a piece of you while she’s off on her job related adventures. Sometimes even using your shirt as a pillow case when they really miss you.
Bella had a plan to tell you how they felt the next day. Before you spring going to a party’s with you. Bella was older than you, you just graduated high school. Still caught up in the high school bullshit. Thankfully they were visiting during your summer vacation before you headed off to university.
“These are for you.” Bella barley whispers, handing you the bouquet of flowers. Your favorite ones. After you sprung the party on them, they decided they’d just do it before. Maybe it would be enough to convince you to stay in with them instead.
“Thanks bestie,” you respond. Bestie? Bella groans internally, discouraged by your friendly pet name. Chickening out on their original plans, mentally throwing out the monologue they had planned for you.
“I saw them and thought of you.” Bella admits.
Once in Bella’s car, they purposefully play Jenny by Studio Killers. Signing along passionately, hoping maybe you’d hear the lyrics and they’d resonate with you. The songs about a girl having a crush on her best friend. You just nod along, never commenting on the subject of it. Bella doesn’t show it but they irritation is growing. Wanting nothing more than to spill their feelings for you, always coming up short when it’s time to do so.
“Do we really have to go?” Bella whines only to stop when you grab their hand and pull them closer to the door. Once at the door, you face Bella your back to the door.
“It’s just a little kickback, maybe 20 people tops. You’ll be okay! I’ll be by your side the whole time. I promise.” You reassure Bella and they let out a defeated sigh. A small laugh leaves your mouth bringing a smile to Bellas. The door swings open, some dude from your school attempting to leave. He pushes past the two of you, not saying a single word.
“Rude.” You mutter under you breath, leading Bella inside. Finding some of your friends, introducing them to Bella. Bella’s wondering what the fuck she’s doing here? Oh yeah because you asked and that’s all it took. They couldn’t say no especially when you start pouting, eyes staring directly into Bella’s.
“Sorry I really thought it’d be smaller.” You apologize to Bella some time later, the two of you sat in a group of friends and strangers. Bella doesn’t drink so you don’t either, watching everyone get drunk without the two of you.
“We should do something. Play a game.” Someone suggests, everyone agrees.
“We should play spin the bottle.” Some suggests, most people agree. You look over to Bella who’s shaking their head no.
“I think I’ll sit this one out.” Bella says, standing up going to sit out of the group. Still close enough to be part of the conversation but not in the immediate circle.
“You playing?” Some drunk dude asks you. You look over to Bella who just gives you a smile.
“I guess so.” You say, thinking it’ll be a funny story to tell someday.
“Fuck yeah,” he responds. You sit and wait as one of your friends finds a bottle lays in the center of the group all while explains the rules. A player spins the bottle, and must kiss the person to whom the bottle points when it stops spinning. You watch as people take turns, watching as people kiss. Most kisses only last a few seconds. It’s almost your turn, the girl before you spins the bottle. Landing on the boy next to you, she giggles before reaching over you to kiss him. Their kiss is more aggressive than the others, lasting much longer. People cheering them on as they continue.
“I don’t think I’m gonna live up to that performance.” You joke, as they pull away from each other. Nervously you spin the bottle, following it with your eyes as it spins in a circle. It lands on a girl, you barley know. Before you can say anything people are chanting for y’all to just do it.
“I mean if she’s down I’m down.” The girl shrugs her shoulders, looking at you for a response.
“Sure?” you say and for whatever reason it comes out as a question. She starts crawling towards you, when she’s only a few inches away from your face a voice interrupts the moment.
“What about your boyfriend?” It’s Bella speaking. She didn’t care about your boyfriend, using that as an excuse to make you not want to participate in this game anymore.
“What about him? Like you said he’s a dick.” You respond, looking back at the girl sat in front of you waiting for a kiss. Cheering resumes as you two get closer.
“Absolutely not.” Bella speaks over the loud noises, pulling you from the floor with a strength you didn’t know existed. Dragging you through the crowd, straight out the front door. Sounds of booing is all you can hear as you leave.
“What the fuck was that?” You ask, once Bella lets go of you hand. Bella paces back and forth, it’s obvious they want to say something but can’t get it out.
“You’re my best friend. I couldn’t let you do that.” Bella speaks, pacing coming to a stop to face you.
“Actually I don’t want to be your friend anymore.” Bella says, breaking your heart.
“All because I was going to kiss that girl?” You ask, arms crossed over your chest.
“Oh my fucking god. Do you listen like ever? How much more obvious do I have to be?” They ask, louder than before.
“What-“ Your cut off by Bella’s hands cupping your face in swift motion affectionately placing their lips on yours, you move your lips with theirs. Letting your arms fall to your sides. You’re the one to pull away, overwhelmed by all the feelings that came out in that moment.
“I understand if you’re mad at me. But I would of rather died than watch you have your first kiss with a woman not be me.” Bella says before you can fully process what just happened.
“I ruined our friendship.” They say, attempting to read your reaction but your speechless unable to comprehend.
“No you didn’t,” you respond.
“I want to ruin our friendship. I like you.” Bella speaks.
“I like you too.”
“No I like like like you.” Bella says, emphasizing on the last two likes.
“Do you listen like ever?” You ask, mocking their tone when they said that you moments ago.
“I like you.” You say again, emphasis on like. Bella’s eyes narrow on you, looking you in your eyes.
“So if I kissed you again? You wouldn’t stop?” They smirk.
“I don’t know, try me.” You tease, chewing on your lip. They do exactly that, pulling you into their embrace before kissing you for the second time.
After a heavy make out session, in the front lawn of that party you guys head back to Bella’s car. This time they open your door, something Bella has never done before. Stealing a kiss in the process then making their way to the drivers side. Once in there’s a silence between you two, sinking in what just happened. They make the drive home, no words are exchanged. Half way there, their hand rests on your thigh giving it a squeeze before going back to driving. You don’t even realize until it’s too late to turn back but Bella’s pulling into their apartment. This was not the original plan but plans change. Parking in their normal parking space.
“How long have you had feelings?” You ask as soon as the car shuts off.
“Oof,” they think out loud.
“Since forever basically.” They admit.
“Same.” You admit causing Bella’s jaw to drop.
“There’s absolutely no way that is possible.” Bella says, not believing you in the slightest.
“We met right before your career really started to take off. I didn’t think it was right to throw that on you while you were out there living your best life.” You explain.
“My best life would of been you by my side, I can’t believe we wasted so many years.” Bella sighs, frustrated.
“We’ll I guess we’re just gonna have to make up for lost time,” You smile, intertwining your fingers with theirs. Playing with the rings they always wore, something you loved about them.
“We better get started, only have two weeks and six days to make up for three years.” Bella grins before instructing you to get out of the car. You do so and Bella meets you outside of the passenger door. Pushing you softly into the side of the car, kissing you in the process. Hands waisting no time explore your body, taking you by surprise. You had never imagined Bella being so forward.
“Where’s this boldness coming from?” You ask when you pull away to breath.
“I wasn’t kidding when I said, we need to make up for all those lost years.” They grin, leading you towards their front door. Your excitement grows as they lead you toward their bedroom, ready to let Bella do whatever they want.

I hate it when ppl found out about the whole tsn shenanigans on 2010/2011, where it's just Andrew Garfield expressed his undying love to Jesse Eisenberg, and ppl will be like "...and all of this just for Jesse Eisenberg??.."
AND OBVIOUSLY?? WHAT ABOUT IT? WHY IT'S SO HARD FOR YOU TO BELIEVE THAT THIS GUY (andrew) HAD SUCH HUGE ADMIRATION TO THE OTHER GUY???
Whyyy cause it's jesseee???? The guy that you judge based on that one interview, where the interviewer is the one who being distant at the first place?? Or when ppl deem him untalented, cause apparently he's only play one type of role when he's actually so talented or when you hate him for playing that villain who doesn't live up to the expectations, cause the writer choose it to be like that.
I know probably those ppl never really care about Jesse at the first place and I can't blame them. And i look stupid defending an actor that doesn't even know that I'm exist. But, it's so hard, when it's a nice man like Jesse Eisenberg. Where ppl who worked with him only said the nice thing about him... like Kristen Stewart, Emma Stone, Lizzy Caplan, Dave Franco .. even Conan O'Brien.
I just feel like he didn't deserve such hate and as his fan who have heard him said that "every insult is obviously the truth, and every compliment is not."
And how one statements could affect him for weeks... It just sad for me. He deserves so much love for what he did. He's so vulnerable, yet so strong enough to be open, and for him to keep doing the things that he did is so inspiring.
( i know i look stupid already writing this thing. So if you want to repost this on another media, to humiliate me any further, then you better don't. Thank you, this stay on tumblr only.)

My Week(s) in Reviews: January 1, 2023
First and foremost... Happy New Year!!
Okay... now let’s get into it. I’m keeping these short because I have little to say about them or they’re going to be featured in My Best of 2022 shortly, anyway, so let’s just go with the old three things format for most of these, yeah? Good.
The Fabelmans (Steven Spielberg, 2022)
Tumblr media
1. Wholly feels like the film Spielberg’s been working toward.
2. That final shot is the reason (as if I needed another one) why Spielberg is my favorite director.
3. I’m going to be genuinely shocked if this lands anywhere other than on top of my top films of 2022. - 10/10
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (Rian Johnson, 2022)
Tumblr media
1. What a cast!!
2. A ton of fun, and it chooses an approach and sticks with it. If you’re underwhelmed with the ‘twists’, that’s kinda the point.
3. Seriously, though... what a cast!! - 8.5/10
Babylon (Damien Chazelle, 2022)
Tumblr media
What a clusterf*ck…
It’s very clear Chazelle lost the thread about 40% in. Cutting that whole Tobey storyline would help. Also cut the opening scene, just start on the party. Tighten up Margot’s arc, we didn’t need that snake shit. Cut Jovan’s arc complete, there’s enough there thematically for a separate film. Give that to someone who can tell it in a way that’ll actually resonate. Leave everything with Brad Pitt alone. He was fantastic and his arc is the only one that felt like it progressed and ended naturally. Beautiful, tragic, interesting shit, right there. Actually loved the ending, but a bunch of other late moments for Diego felt sloppy/rushed. The phenomenal editing helps some of the more upsetting issues throughout, but can’t save the film from the total loss of cohesion in the those final acts. Despite all its many flaws, though, I still pretty close to loved about 65% of this film. - 6/10
Avatar: The Way of Water (James Cameron, 2022)
Tumblr media
1. Visually stunning. Probably the easiest VFX win since the last, right?
2. Someone should give Fincher the money for his 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea... if this film is anything, it’s proof the tech has reached the point where Fincher’s vision is not only possible, but feasible.
3. Has James Cameron actually ever heard two people talking to each other? My God, that dialogue is atrocious. (The screenplay all-around, really.) Yikes. - 6.5/10
Weird: The Al Yankovic Story (Eric Appel, 2022)
Tumblr media
1. This is not only the perfect approach to a Weird Al biopic, I’m pretty sure it’s the only approach to a Weird Al biopic.
2. Very funny if you’re familiar with Yankovic as a person, downright hilarious if you go in only knowing his music.
3. Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna... I repeat, Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna. My God! - 7.5/10
Emily the Criminal (John Patton Ford, 2022)
Tumblr media
1. Aubrey Plaza is really damn good.
2. So is just how terribly things go in that third act.
3. The rest... not so much. I really don’t get all the hype. - 5/10
Black Adam (Jaume Collet-Serra, 2022)
Tumblr media
1. This is a very bad movie. Very easily one of the worst of the year.
2. Any promise Dwayne Johnson had every shown has been tossed in the garbage for terrible line delivery and tough-guy stares.
3. Pierce Brosnan deserved better than this. An interesting character and perfect casting completely wasted in favor of whatever this shit was supposed to be. - 2/10
The People We Hate at the Wedding (Claire Scanlon, 2022)
Tumblr media
1. Not a good movie by any stretch.
2. But Kristen Bell.
3. And Allison Janney. - 5.5/10
A Christmas Story Christmas (Clay Kaytis, 2022)
Tumblr media
1. Corny as f*ck.
2. But the type of corny I can get behind.
3. And that Christmas morning was the obvious tear-jerker material I’m a sucker for. - 6/10
The Shop Around the Corner (Ernst Lubitsch, 1940)
Tumblr media
1. James Stewart really is one of my all-time favorite actors. Just always so damn good.
2. Love me some Lubitsch, yet for some reason I have so many blind spots with him.
3. I know we live in completely different times, but even looking through the scope of the time, that ending seemed a bit forced. Still a delightful film overall, but she must’ve been really desperate to let the shit he pulled go. - 7/10
Elvis (Baz Luhrmann, 2022)
Tumblr media
1. Significantly better than I expected. But painfully overlong.
2. Austin Butler is fantastic. Tom Hanks is (somehow) borderline awful.
3. Baz Luhrmann’s direction is god-awful. But there’s a shit-ton of it, so I guess the Golden Globes look at Directing like the Academy does editing, now. - 5.5/10 (Almost all of those 5.5 are for Butler and the early performance sequences only.)
Enjoy!
-Timothy Patrick Boyer.

But, again, explain Kristen Stewart to me then. Her acting was horrible then, her acting is horrible now, and still she has become the darling of indie directors. 🤷‍♂️ - I can’t speak to her actual talent because I’ve never seen her in anything but she has a interesting persona. She is charismatic and a red carpet darling. Not saying this is an excuse but she gives people something to work with. JA may be good looking, but he is completely empty. Red carpet, photo shoots, interviews, etc. Also, I don’t recall KS being roasted for her acting so consistently. Maybe she was in the beginning but she has been actively praised for awhile. My issue with JA is he is taking these bigger roles from more deserving actors. If he stayed in the minor roles until he got better, I’d be ok with that. There is a long history of untalented actors with good connections making it big. He’s not the first and won’t be the last. Yet I still get pissy because I’m just so damn sick of it. I’ve seen a few of the films he’s in. He should have never stepped foot on those sets he was so forgettable or downright bad that it was distracting.
I have seen him in The Favourite and Mary Queen Of Scots. In both films I thought he was effective in the role, but otherwise forgettable. He didn't exactly make me WANT to see more of his films, if you get my drift.
I'm not entirely on board with "he is taking these roles from more deserving actors". That's less his fault than the casting directors' and directors's fault, wouldn't you say?
Same as with KS. They keep hiring her. It boggles the mind.
And gee, do I disagree with you about her being interesting, much less charismatic. Ho boy, no.

A few thoughts on Happiest Season:
*yes, spoilers*
The good things:
Tumblr media
DANIEL LEVY is a comedic god. (I know we already knew that.) That fish conversation! He pulls off the judgey gay friend trope perfectly.
Yes, I’m on the Abby/Riley train. Aubrey Plaza and Kristen Stewart have far more chemistry than Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis.
JANE TOTALLY WRITES FANFIC, AND I’M HERE FOR IT.
The things I did not love:
Tumblr media
There is absolutely nothing likable about Harper.  I understand not being able to come out to your parents. I understand needing to protect one’s emotional safety in the face of complicated family systems. But there’s no excuse for the way she treated Abby. It’s already questionable to put your partner in that position in the first place—and to put her in that position when she barely had a choice in the matter. But then to be constantly abandoning her, both physically and emotionally, after forcing her into that precarious situation is completely unacceptable.
I’m kind of over awkward coming-out-to-parents stories.  I know it’s still a reality for a lot of people, but it’s been the same queer story since it was okay to start telling queer stories out loud.
Queer folks do more in their lives than come out. We have different, still uniquely queer, struggles. Especially during the holidays.
Telling that same awkward coming out story, especially when we know het folks will be watching, just serves to reinforce that we only have one story worth telling.
How it should have ended:
John and Abby leave the house. John says, “you deserve so much better” (which also would have been much more in character for him), and Riley just happens to be at the gas station filling up her tank when they’re about to get into their car to leave. Riley and Abby have a cute, awkward conversation, agreeing to stay in touch. Part 2 is their Christmas movie where Abby comes back to that town next year, and they navigate their obligatory friendship with Harper (because she’s their ex, and that’s what lesbians do).
Harper has been in therapy and has addressed many of her issues. So, either: a great threesome, OR Riley sets Harper up with her ex from college who just happens to be in town and staying with Riley’s family for the holidays after ending a long-term relationship just after Thanksgiving. Everyone lives happily ever after.

bridgerton s2 thoughts:
man this is like every great tropey regency au fanfic i've ever read and it's still like crack to me.
i love how popular this show is. i said it before but i'll do it again: it's so nice to see something so fem gaze succeed.
i'm really noticing the artistic liberties with the time period this time around. i feel like people get so finicky about ~the costuming~ and ~the string covers of pop songs~ but the goal of this drama isn't to accurately nail the time period, it's to show us a fantasy of it. the bright colors, glittery costumes and huge setpieces are the point.
same for the tropier romance aspects of it all. i get that regency romance, given its dependence on certain ideas about gender, romance, and uh, 'breeding' aren't for everyone, but that's just what the subgenre is. the show knows what it is and is proud of it and i'm glad they're not pulling a tua2 and scraping the show's tropier aspects out to beg the antis to love it.
the narrative this season, though always planned and therefore not a reaction to the audience's take on s1, works great in that context: we saw a rake fall for a good soft gentle girl, and one of the criticisms was that said girl just wasn't as compelling as the rake. which is true, but, that's the point--
--honestly phoebe dynevor needs more credit for her performance. it's not easy playing the character who's meant to be the audience surrogate and she played that role very well in s1, like kristen stewart delivering bella swan or dakota johnson delivering anastasia steele. we're not supposed to fall in love with daphne, we're supposed to fall in love with simon, and she understood how to compliment page's performance in a way that ensured we would; it takes real generosity and humility on the part of an actor to understand when the story isn't meant to be About Them, and she deserves commending for that.
the downside to this is that without simon, daphne drifts, because her character isn't designed to function without him, and dynevor can't salvage that because that's not what her performance is designed to do. she doesn't have the right material to make daphne a stronger character (which she wasn't hired to do in the first place) so it simply can't be done.
speaking of page, it's... weird, him not being here. i'm happy he's on to better and brighter things, god knows he deserves it, and i'm fine with simon being mostly absent from s2, but i really feel like both the show and he would have benefited from him dropping in for an episode or two, say at the family croquet match; we get to see simon and daphne having their happy ending, and page gets 1) free money and an easy day at work in an environment he's comfortable in, 2) to reaffirm his relationship with the fandom that launched his career, 3) to maintain his breakout role so he has a safety net in case all those new projects he's in (none of which have been released and could go any which way, including very badly) flop. it's a misfire on both his and the show's part to not have him pop in at all.
-- back to the dynamic shift. self-insert romances will always be weaker because said self-insert has to be less interesting so you can fill in that space with yourself. romances are best when both parties are equally matched in terms of narrative weight and strength of personality. this romance, being essentially about anthony meeting his equal, is less about you being able to imagine yourself in the place of his future wife, and more about the story itself.
as such, simone ashley had a much bigger challenge than dynevor did, as someone who has to play a much more defined character, and one who's meant to be anthony's equal at that. she does this very well. she's witty, headstrong, compelling and loveable. hoping ashley gets to take off into superstardom the way rege-jean page did.
and the relationship she has with anthony-- at least imo, since i'm not the biggest fan of self-insert intended romances-- is stronger for it. the chemistry is impeccable, the banter is spicy, and most of all it's so fun to watch anthony meet the female version of himself.
[side note: jonathan bailey is a fantastic anthony and no, him being gay irl doesn't hamper his intense chemistry with ashley at all. and since this sure is a hot topic right now, surprise surprise, when you give a gay actor a role that doesn't match their irl sexuality, and give them the writing, direction and costar support needed to deliver their performance (and an audience who don't obsess over their sexuality), they can deliver. because they are actors, and the job of an actor is to play a person they themselves are not. stares at tua's production crew and audience. queer actors can play straight characters. all you have to do is let them.]
that being said, the hamfisted feminism is.... while well-intentioned and definitely in the vein of the fantasy regency than the reality, i don't love how it's kind of consumed eloise as a character and thrown daphne under the bus. it's okay to be something more traditional in terms of personality, appearance and one's goals for their life. wanting to be happily married with a child, or being soft-spoken, accomodating and emotionally attentive doesn't make you less intelligent or less valuable than wanting to be independent or being headstrong and dominant. it's really weird that a regency show of all things seems to have forgotten that, but i think it needs saying.
lady danbury is so much damn fun as always.
neat seeing the whistledown plot evolve. waiting to see it was for a second season in a row would've been tired, it's a fun change and it makes some neat wrinkles in the story to watch penelope both be lady whistledown and cover it up.
glad bridgerton took notes re the diversity problem and not only added major asian characters, but chose to make the love interest dark-skinned. that definitely wouldn't have happened if there hadn't been public discourse over it, and this is a rare instance of a show taking the right notes from their audience.
also nice to see the sharmas incorporating their culture into their characterisation, though man those hot takes about how bridgerton handles race are gonna be even messier now. all they had to do was just not mention it in s1, but here we go. i guess there's no avoiding it.
that being said.... hey bridgerton. where are the queer people. if this is regency romance for Everyone, where are they. come on now. cast some trans love interests. give two of the bridgerton kids queer romances.

Saw a reblog of yours and now I want your headcanons on gay Piper McLean, if you have them
Gay Piper McLean headcanons huh 👀👀
Mwahaha I have a lot and since this is my second time drafting this atm i'm going to cry if Tumblr fucks up on me
!!!!HOO AND TOA SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!
Piper's gay awakening was probably Thalia but she definitely had a lot of unrealized celebrity crushes in the past
Piper isn't into fashion but if she had to choose, it would be Kristen Stewart, specifically this hairstyle:
Tumblr media
Piper's pronouns are she/they
Piper's favourite queer artists are King Princess and Janelle Monae
Not Piper, but Tristan McLean is a raging bisexual that does drag shows on the side
Piper and Shel have matching industrial piercings like this:
Tumblr media
Piper and Shel go to Pride every year on a motorcycle with as many pride flags as they can handle streaming behind them
Piper relates to Catra the most and you already know season four made her cry a lot
Piper also like Raya and the Last Dragon and she definitely wishes Disney got the balls to do a Rayaari kiss
maybe im projecting a little bit
Okay serious maybe controversial headcanon time so Jason/Piper fans, feel free to skip
Piper suffered a serious case of compulsive heterosexuality thanks to Hera and Aphrodite. While Jason was one of her best friends, Piper didn't like him the same way he liked her or the same way she now likes Shel. She felt obligated to stay in a relationship she remembered (even though she knew it was the Mist) and felt obligated to have a boyfriend because of her mom
Like Jason and Piper were a cute ship, but it definitely wasn't the healthiest of ships. Maybe it was just how I read it, but Piper spent most of their relationship being insecure about the status of their relationship or trying to justify its existence. Like there were definitely cute moments, but most of those I read from Jason's POV
Basically they both deserved better for a whole bunch of reasons
Jason wholeheartedly supports Piper and her sexuality btw (even if it stings a little bit being told your ex might never have been totally attracted to you). He even attends with Piper and Shel to their first Pride after their break up
Piper hates hates hates the words f*g and d*ke because it's what bullies used to call her at school and even when she didn't know what it meant, it still leaves a sour taste in her mouth. She can't even tolerate other queer people saying it
Piper never wanted to stay in the closet for long because it felt like her entire life was spent locking parts of herself away so the moment she realized she was gay she just went with it because fuck everyone else, her mother was the goddess of love- she knew what she was doing
Anyways, back to the fun headcanons
The Aphrodite Cabin has a set of albums where they collect pictures of cute celebrities. When Piper came out, most of the Aphrodite cabin crowded her with these albums, trying to figure out her type
Technically, Piper didn't come out; she just entered the cabin one day blasting to Girl in Red
Piper didn't officially come out to Tristan, she just brought Shel over and introduced her as her girlfriend
Piper started a GSA (Gender Sexuality Alliance) club at camp because apparently the other children of the love goddess didn't think of that before
Piper first experimented with girls a month after she and Jason broke up. She told Jason about her attraction to girls while they were dating though and identified as bisexual during Heroes of Olympus
"be gay do crime" is totally her life motto like come on
I have more but this is the third dam time I had to type this out so here's Piper Mclean's celebrity crush list
Buffy Sainte-Marie
Tumblr media
Kristen Stewart
Winona Ryder
Tumblr media
Hayley Kiyoko as Stevie from Wizards of Waverly Place
Tumblr media
Princess Nokia
Tumblr media
Billie Eilish
Tumblr media
Asia Jackson
Tumblr media
Lyrica Onako
Tumblr media
Letitia Wright- specifically as Shuri
Tumblr media
She'd probably like a few blonde celebrities but i don't really know who she would like (aside from like Captain Marvel) so I didn't bother finding them
And that's pretty much most of my headcanons! Thank you for the ask and I hope you enjoyed looking through them 🤗

speaking of British Bullshit, i didn't think spencer was a good movie exactly but i found myself endeared by it. partly it had the advantage of catering to one of my favorite emotions to indulge, which is screeching disbelief at how completely embarrassing and stupid and terrible in every possible regard the british royal family is; absolutely nothing makes me feel more patriotic than remember that england has a fucking queen. according to slate, the thing at the beginning of the movie about how everyone has to get weighed at the start and end of Royal Christmastime so everyone can see if they gained the three pounds that mean they enjoyed christmas is real.
i also respected that it was operating in a kind of traditionally biopic space, but it decided against the standard high contrast muted palette realism of biopics and decided to do something impressionistic and dreamlike instead; in fact i would have liked it better if it had leaned into the weirdness more, as i felt like it sort of wanted to be bold and full of feeling but also it hedged its bets. a movie with a vision of anne boleyn also played by kristen stewart preventing diana from jumping down a staircase by triggering an incredibly long montage of diana dancing by herself culminating in tween diana dancing her ballet best for her adult self while the camera which has been so slow and still all this time spins dizzyingly around - like, you do that, and then you end with this very traditional uplift sequence of pop music and taking the kids to KFC? pick a lane. the movie's ideas didn't always work, but i liked that it had ideas. the postcard-soft coloring for all these ugly feelings, sure. the idea of diana emoting desperately amidst all these impassive stoic faces, i get it. all these cutaways to the chef listing off the sumptuous food that diana can't bring herself to actually eat, i get it, even though i also felt that by leading with the bulimia as much as they did it felt a little like the movie was going, like - well, you HAVE to like her, she has an eating disorder. bulimia as sympathy flag, not because anyone suffering from bulimia deserves sympathy (which ofc they do), but because of, like, Tropes. i listened to the you're wrong abouts about princess di a while ago & they mention this one time she pushed an old lady down a staircase, which we know about because when she was talking to the journalist she was secretly getting to write a book about her when she wanted to leave the marriage she was like "yeah and then i fucking pushed her down the stairs" - i think you could have brought a little more of that in and made her a more imperfect person still, in fact, hideously wronged by having tripped and fallen at the age of 19 into the most embarrassing and terrible and horrible family/institution in the entire universe. i liked the moments of messiness they gave her.
i thought kristen stewart was not very good, but i also don't know that anyone could have been better - like, i think if the director knew to want a better performance than she gave, then the director would have made a better movie because the director would have had better taste. i thought this BEFORE i learned that previously the director cast natalie fucking portman as jackie O; i watched the trailer for that out of curiosity and god you could not pay me to sit through that performance. kristen stewart was not as irritating as natalie portman generally is but the performance suffered from familiar problems - it felt like a series of affectations, and not purposefully because it was an affected movie. the cadence with which she delivers almost every single one of her lines is identical, again, not in a way that felt like a stylistic choice but in a way that felt like a crutch, or a tic, or just kristen stewart's idea of what Compelling Biopic Acting is. she cries well enough, but it all felt generic somehow. i'm pretty baffled having seen it with the praise she's received. again, there's sort of a concept in the casting that i like - find a crumple-faced american to have Real Emotions amidst all these blank-eyed brits - but i sort of felt like any crumple-faced american would have done about as well.
i think the reviews that are like "this movie is unfair to the british royal family" are funny, and when coming from americans treasonous. you can never be mean enough to the british royal family! they should wake up every morning ashamed to show their faces.

I AM SOOOOOO HAPPY FOR JESSICAAAAA
and the fact that it’s not Kristen Stewart.
No hate to Kristen but I hope if there is a chance for her to win, she wins for a character that hasn’t been done for the 975777th times before and already had better performances than her.
Back to Jessica. Ahhhh she looked like a fairy 😍 and ahhhh she is now a oscar winner actress 😭the last time she was all over after that iconic oscar-jessica moments. This time for an oscar. Both time it was such a joy to see her happy playful stunning and successful
same anon! same thoughts abt Kristen. no feelings hurts.
OU MY GOD I CRIED LIKE BITCH WHEN ANTHONY SAID JESSICA
HOLY FUCK I WAS SOBBING SO HARD AND SHAKING AND HER SPEECH I JUST-
when she mentioned su1cide and that you are unconditionally loved: my god I was in shambles, that meant too much, I take things extremely personal, and I couldn't stop smiling at her, she was so nervous, trying to find words, you can clearly see how nervous she was trying to speak and address the things she wanted and thank everyone. I am over the moon. this award was so overdue, this is a recognition of YEARS of work, not only for Tammy, I wish I could have hugged her so tight and congratulated her, she is a person with so much love and sincerity to give, she has been giving us so much in the past years.
imagine winning an Oscar just 3 days after your b-day?? my GOD
The Oscar's are rigged and fucked up? yes.
my girl won and 100% deserved it? YES.
let's just know savor and celebrate this moment. bc from now on all the trailers with Jess in it will have academy award winner under her name 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️

do 1, 26, 15, and 41 for nate gray
1. Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with? nate is closest to shane. with shane it toggles throughout his life but like, nate loves jason but their personalities clash like mad. because nate and mitchie are so close too like they very much become a unit in adulthood.
15. Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not? *west wing voice* nate cares about money in the sense that it's scorekeeping and him having a lot of it means he's won.
26. How does your character behave around children? he's literally that kristen stewart snl duolingo for talking to children sketch until a good six months into mitchie and shane being parents. 41. Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first? i don’t think nate really considers this just in the sense that like, he’s had it forever and is like. it doesn’t matter if i earned it or not. it happened for better or for worse.
send me a number and a character

I'm not trying to come off as mean because I think your opinions are super valid and I actually really appreciate a different view on Cordelia, but why is it that when a male character in TSC is lovesick for a girl/guy it's romantic and adorable and said guy is seen as near perfect, but when a girl is it's seen as just being lovesick and weak/pathetic? I just don't really understand 😓
Lol no, I don't like it either, not when it's written the way Cordelia was written. I think I speak out more now, on Cordelia, because I have more confidence. I don't care if I lose followers, and I don't care if people come into my DMs and attack me for my thoughts. When I created this blog, I cared more about those things so I kept my mouth shut.
I'll also address the fact that obsession (even predatory behavior) from a man aimed at a woman has a long standing history of being romanticised and the predominantly female based readership of TSC may still be subscribed to that way of thinking. Paired with women's internalized misogyny (think: women's behaviour to Taylor Swift, Kristen Stewart and Jameela Jamil), Cordelia will automatically be less favourable to some. This is something I've considered in my own analysis of Cordelia and I still feel confident that my dislike of her character isn't based in that inherent idea. We must also address the often times creepy, near enough fetishization of mlm characters by females with the uwu cute baby gay boy attitude (think: Nico Di Angelo from the Riordanverse). If Alec, Magnus, Kit, Ty, Kieran, Mark, etc were obsessive over their respective Male counterparts to Cordelia's extent with James, it would just fuel that creepy attitude. We do kind of see it with Kit and Ty anyway. The only excuse I can respect for that is mlm or queer people in general appreciate the reality of the gay experience when you're young and still learning, and CC cut it off at the knees and we are desperately trying to keep it alive. I digress.
So please, without further adieu, have my opinions on Shadowhunter men in TSC.
James: Get your head in the game dude. Liked him in TFtSHA but he's gone downhill from there. 2/10
Matthew: Gives me anxiety, not sure if I like him being the cornerstone for bisexual representation, but we'll see. Has started yet another fucking love triangle. Again, I like him in TFtSHA but has gone downhill. 2/10
Alastair: I like him but that's just because I relate to him. Can't wait to find out more about myself him as the story goes on. 7/10 (docked points bc he's kind of a douche canoe).
Jace: Obsessive. As an adult (the age I am now when I read Chog), his love for Clary makes me supremely uncomfortable for 90% of the series. 3/10
Simon: Again, his teen angsty crush on Clary I can do without, but when he starts crushing on Izzy, it's not as obsessive and lovesick as it is with Jordelia. He has the vampire thing to think about, and the getting stuck in hell part of it, and there's more depth to his character (although not enough, let's be honest). 8/10
Alec: Manages to focus on things other than Magnus for thirty seconds. We even have the entirety of CoHF where Alec is suffering with his fear for Magnus' life, but we don't know that deep until we have the conversation between Jace and Alec. Good man, loved the fact he got some character development, cares more than just about his boyfriend. 10/10.
Will: Bro. His character all around is... a lot. He gets praised as this broody, beautiful, perfect type, but during my reread every time he waxed poetic about Tessa I rolled my eyes. He is just as bad as Cordelia, but I do think CC rounded out his character a little better eventually (I hope she does the same with Cordelia). I like Will in the glimpses we get of him as an adult and a father more than I like the Will in TID. 5/10 for TID, but overall 6/10
Jem: This man deserved so much more in depth character work, but at the very least he wasn't boiled down to 'I love Tessa and that's all I'm capable of'. He is driven by love, but he loves more than just Tessa. 9/10
Gideon & Gabriel: We don't get a lot of their side of the story and Gabriel is like 19 and dating a 15 year old so we're moving right along. 4/10 for Gideon (wish it could be more but we dont know hime) and 2/10 for Gabriel (because he did make me laugh).
Julian: I just... no. I don't like Blackstairs story very much. Julian kinda freaks me out and his obsession with Emma is A Lot™️. 4/10 (because he loves his family and has been through too much).
Mark: Hey look, a character that has a relationship and isn't entirely consumed by it. There's some poly confusion (like gay panic, but for polyam). I support him, and I wish him well. 7/10
Ty: Not sure he knows what's up. Good egg. Have yet to see his (in depth) POV of Kit so this could change, but so far he's pretty chill. 10/10
Kit: Get a grip, then get a clue. Is perhaps a little obsessive as the books wear on, but his character is balanced more in favour of trying to do what he needs to do and trying his best and that's less motivated by his (unacknowledged) crush. If he dissolves into a lovesick and obsessive character with little to no other personality traits, then his score will go down. 9/10.

happiest season
first of all i love clea duvall second of all please include poc in shit. i’ll just go outside if i wanna see white people
i respect kristen stewart but she is to millennials what timothee chalamet is to gen z. and no i will not elaborate
damn! santa claus reindeer roplay???
imagine lupita nyong’o and tessa thompson in a lesbian christmas movie??
so dan levy just plays david rose? okay cool. (i luv david and dan levy so it’s all good)
listen i want the one who gets proposed to but if they get me a diamond ring i will end it. if it’s diamond it better be vintage. otherwise just get me anything but diamond.
also yes. i agree with everything david.. i mean john said about marriage.
oh no the my family doesn’t know i’m gay trope. lol
the ol’ roommate lie. lemme guess there’s only one bed too
okay but there’s no way they can look at kristen stewart and think “yes that is a heterosexual”
if someone told me their mom’s name was tipper i would discredit and distrust everything they have to say
yeah people on intsagram are gonna figure out the situation real quick.
mary holland is sweet. i think i’m gonna luv her in this
oh no! they treat her like shit! i’m gonna cry
nevermind there is not one bed.
c’mon jane’s cute. leave her alone.
i’ll be honest tho. if i met a jane irl i would be annoyed. but that’s on me and nothing on a person just vibing.
the old boyfriend trick.
kristen stewart is already so short why not put her in an actual chair. or get her a booster seat.
how many ex’s are they gonna bring back? is this scott pilgrim
ngl it would be tight to move to a city like paris and just go to museums. alas i am a poor
fish are still animals that need to be taken care of! feed the fish!
david’s right
the twins from the shinning are here
being a mother doesn’t make you a better person
she didn’t ask so don’t give advice weirdo
no one appreciates jane and that is so rude
gays can have kids
when her mom said they made gift baskets i was expecting hippies... but they are so much worse... fucking goop??
i don’t care about your sister rivalry.
oh wow... the mom totally sucks
saying you no longer want to be part of a conversation should be the norm. sometimes you get bored and you want to leave.
oh yeah nothing to hide except for you homo daughter
do people still want to be friends with people from high school?
like if met up with certain people from high school i’d be like nah. thanks tho but no.
especially if one person still had romantic feelings.
once again david is right!
he’s right but he just killed her fish omg
okay but look wise, aubry plaza is hotter so i say get with the hot one
and i’m telling kristen stewart this
mackenzie davis was hotter in san junipero
big sister knows they lesbianing
okay but texing your girlfriend while being in the same house is kinda cute or maybe i’m a weirdo.
sneak sneak sneak
yeah abby. what are you doing in the closet?
so kristen’s the bottom huh
okay but a milf called harry is lowkey hot
i would drop kick those kids. little weirdos
also mall security your job is not that serious
i bet these people are republicans
i get being scared to come out to your family but harper is kinda lame
even when they’re just talking, kristen and aubry have better chemistry
yeah her family is totally republican for the way harper treated riley in high school
how did mackenzie davis go from playing one of the gayest characters in san junipero to harper who doesn’t seem very gay?
the way this movie is playing out seems like harper and abby break up and harper gets with her old boyfriend and abby gets with riley but i don’t think that’s how this will end (in fact i know cuz i looked on wikipedia)
bitch space??? she’s are your parent’s house and you are barely spending time with her. space? go to the moon then
abby deserves better
this is a pro abby and riley blog and an anti harper blog
it’s your fault she dropped the wine harper.. but jane shouldn’t have picked it up
once again the mom sucks!!!
has anyone ever been a part of white elephant? i hate it, it’s so awkward so much second hand embarrassment
harper has no right getting upset over abby being friends with riley when she’s getting close to her ex boyfriend
riley is just chilling being hot.
“it’s over. i’m done” end the movie right there that’s all i needed.
if you want her then act like it
damn upper middle class parents are monsters
you pump?
i lowkey thought sloane’s husband was also gonna be gay
stay out of this, sappho
omg harper suuuucks
appreciate jane or parish
yes you are baby

Some white women you find overrated 👀
Jodie Comer: yes she's great in Killing Eve but she looks like Sid from Ice Age
Kristen Stewart: for some reason I liked her better when I thought she was straight
That girl from strangers things, Uma Thurman's daughter: why is she getting all those roles? Where is Uma?!
Florence Pugh: I didn't watch Midsommar so I don't know if she deserves the hype
Anya Taylor-Joy: in every horror movies, has a very particular face, kinda looks like Sid too
Victoria Pedretti: she's pretty but white wlw are shoving her in our throat way too much. I'm almost tired of seeing her and I haven't seen any of her shows

I really just want to laugh right now so I’m about to (bravely) watch Breaking Dawn Part 2 while sober and give commentary on Emmett and Garrett because I love them in this (and Stefan and Vladimir too). I might mention a few other things, but it’s pretty much going to be all Emmett and Garrett. (Commentary below the break as usual)
I have to say this: the intro feels different while sober and it makes this movie seem like it’s going to be so much better than it actually is. I also just realized it represents what Bella can see as she wakes up (like the details and the fact that it’s like red fading to white, the symbolism).
I really thought I could get through this sober, but I have to fast forward through the *mpr*nt*ng plot shit. It’s so awful. The way Emmett smirks while saying “this should be good” is iconic though and I love him in this movie lmao.
Another quick side note: Rosalie looks so happy holding Renememe and it’s so cute.
When Emmett says, “WoW dOnE aLrEaDy? BrEaK a LoT oF sTuFf?” Iconic. Carlisle just shakes his head in shame. He knows there’s no stopping Emmett.
Another quick side note: Charlie really did deserve better. I’m happy Jacob did what he did and I hope Sue eventually told him the whole truth.
Emmett taunting Bella and calling her tame. They’re about to fight. I love when he cracks his knuckles and just carries that big boulder lmao.
Okay but they’re all laughing together in this scene and it’s such a cute little family moment.
Kristen Stewart is genuinely such a great actor and I’m glad she’s had a successful career post-Twilight. She deserves that shit.
Aro is also great in this movie. I still hate the monarchy, but his overdramatic ass is everything lmao.
Emmett’s ready to throw hands, but Carlisle and Edward’s pacifistic asses won’t let him.
See. I really hate how smeyer couldn’t be consistent with anything. The Denali family and the Volturi would’ve heard Renemeem’s heartbeat and known she was part human.
Finally Garrett’s here so shit’s about to get good.
“I hated the first British invasion. I hate the second one even more...old habits die hard.” A FUCKING ICON.
High key though: smeyer was FUCKED UP for having all the vampires go to the Cullens’ house when the vampires are what cause the wolves to shift.
I love how Kate just grabs Bella’s hand with no warning to prove that she’s a shield lmao.
Garrett’s taunting Kate because he wants her. She calls him weak. Carlisle warns him not to do it. He touches her hand anyway and falls on his ass. He’s in love. I want a man to love me the way Garrett loves Kate. He respects how powerful she is and that’s a big part of why he loves her. I love this ship.
Vladimir and Stefan are here. I love them because they hate the crusty ass monarchy too. I wish they would’ve taken the Volturi down at the end of this book/movie.
“That didn’t take much” he’s so ready to fight and I wish smeyer would’ve let a bitch.
I hate the Volturi so much. They’re just awful. Funny sometimes, but absolutely horrible. It’s a dictatorship/monarchy where they’re all the dictators.
I just noticed for the first time that Emmett’s fiddling with the baseball in this scene. He’s ready to fight.
Garrett is so impressed by everything Kate does.
“Dude you’re not motivating her.” “You wanna try?” Emmett just puts his hands up in surrender because he’s not down to clown.
Emmett’s so proud of his sister. He and Garrett just stare at each other like the bros they are.
“I’m good.” He trusts Bella’s shield more, but he’s still not down to clown.
I just noticed that in the scene where Renememe jumps into Edwards arms, Kate and Garrett are talking in the corner and he tries to lowkey have his arm around her and it’s cute.
“Name any American battle. I was there.” “I came this close to biting Custer.” He used a racist term though (I didn’t catch it when I drunk-watched the movie) which is unacceptable. Jacob glared at him, as he should. Even Garrett’s ass is problematic. Could smeyer do right by any character? The answer is no. Kate points out at this point he didn’t win every battle and I’m glad she kicked his ass down a notch after what he said. It’s what he deserved.
Vladimir and Stefan have been waiting to take out the Volturi and I wish they would’ve.
Ooooh this is the part where Edward thanks Carlisle for his life because he loves his wife and daughter so much and it’s so precious.
“If we live through this, I’ll follow you anywhere, woman.” As I’ve said, I want to be loved like this.
“The redcoats are coming! The redcoats are coming!” lmao that shit gets me every time.
The smirks on Vladimir’s and Stefan’s faces; priceless.
Carlisle’s wearing his old Volturi vest and we love to see it. I wish it would’ve been a power move instead of a pacifistic one.
This is so fucking dumb. They could’ve all heard her heartbeat. Smeyer has no consistency.
The way Aro says Bella’s name is so creepy.
Emmett’s done playing. He’s stepping up to the front lines with his sister and niece.
Aro’s laugh though. Iconic. Hilarious. Oscar-worthy.
Fast-forwarding the battle because I’m here to laugh, not cry.
The Volturi are such bitches, Caius especially.
I wish Vladimir and Stefan would’ve attacked. They knew.
Aww everyone’s so happy and in love. This is why I love this series. Simp ass hoes fandom for life.
Alright, I’m done watching this now. The credits will make me feel something and I only want to feel joy lmao.
