I'm working on a request for Code Lyoko atm, but meanwhile, here are some headcanons!

Headcanons - Code Lyoko

Aelita Schaeffer

I headcanon that Aelita's music and dj mixing skills are rooted in her dad playing the piano and teaching her about music.

It also gives her trauma and nightmares, as we've all seen in the canon episodes tho..

And though she's smart and brainy, I don't see her going to read literature books or novels. Idk if that's just me.

I think she finds comfort in information rather than fiction, so maybe she would prefer non-fiction genres.

I also think that Aelita would like butterscotch ice cream. It's cute.

There are days where she has hallucinations and nightmares because of X.A.N.A and Franz Hopper and her past, and she would like nothing more than to listen to music while cuddling with Mister Puck and having butterscotch ice cream.

Also, much like Nicholas, a lot of people find Aelita cute. Adding to her popularity that rose from her DJ skills, she's sure to have a lot of people having crushes on her. But of course, she's only got eyes for Jeremie.

Remember that lookalike of Aelita who got only one episode on the show? Taelia? I headcanon that people in Kadic call them twins, and they eventually become good friends. I think Jim would get very confused and would put Aelita and Taelia in different classes for the sake of his own sanity.

Elizabeth "Sissi" Delmas

Sissi is a child of divorce (I think that's also canon).

I headcanon that her parents had a slightly significant age difference, because Principal Delmas looks vv old. Sissi's mom was four years younger than him -- I headcanon her to be a fashion designer, she was very impulsive and liked to live in the moment, but eventually, the love they had for each other fizzled out and they divorced.

I also think that maybe her mom wasn't what you would call "maternal". She knows this too, and accepted it when Sissi's dad contested for her during the divorce. It doesn't mean that her mom loves her less, though. She's just aware that her father could care for her daughter better than she could, and chooses to love Sissi in her own way.

I think it was mentioned somewhere in the website wiki that Sissi goes on shopping sprees with her mom, so that could be their love language. I also think that Sissi digs her mother's fashion style and did a little tweaks of that to turn it into her own.

I think that, Ulrich was her best friend before, and they bonded over having turbulent family situations. It was natural for her to catch feelings for someone who understood her, and hence she liked Ulrich. When Ulrich rejected her (multiple times), she was put off, but just didn't know how to handle their friendship from that point onward.

Sissi knows how to bandage wounds professionally (canon) and I think it was mentioned that she wanted to become a nurse. I definitely see that as a career for her, once she's matured and grown into her own self.

She's definitely a writer on the side. She would write under the pen name Sissi for sure.

I love Sissi a lot. She's so much more than what's shown on screen. I'd have loved to see her grow into the person she's actually meant to become, after some maturity and heart-to-hearts with Ulrich and her parents, too.

Jeremie Belpois

Jeremie needs naps.

A lot of naps. Poor guy.

Jeremie has definitely read classics. I also headcanon Yumi to like classics and literature, so I think both of them would bond a lot over this.

I also headcanon Jeremie to be comfortable with certain colors only – like, he wears blues and browns and some beige tones – and you wouldn't find colors like pink or yellow in his wardrobe.

Jeremie's cousin is said to look like him, right? And that guy – Patrick, I think – was a brunette and wore black rock aesthetic clothing. I think that both of them actually looked similar when they were kids, and Patrick must've changed his look at some point to have that poofy hair instead. This probably annoyed Jeremie, but now that they're on good terms, he probably teases Patrick about it a lot (and also has baby pictures to prove his point).

I can see how I turned this into Patrick headcanons. Sorry.

Jeremie likes long walks during the night. When he's not working on Lyoko related stuff, and when he's not able to sleep, he walks around at night.

His prized possession(s) is the set of polaroids that he took with Aelita on one of her first nights on Earth. He has them in a safe (and yes, he definitely has a safe that he hasn't told anyone about. Except Aelita.).

Laura Gauthier

Laura made some poor choices in Evolution, but hey, Sissi made poor choices in the original show too! People can always improve, and change.

Laura was brought up in a very strict household, where only the very best was expected from her.

That's why she desperately wanted to show her dad the laboratory at the old factory and say, "See? I'm a part of something big."

Laura has closeted lesbian energy. Evolution kinda made a big rivalry between Aelita and Laura for Jeremie, to see who was his better equal and all, but I think Laura didn't care about that and just liked getting Aelita riled up. I think Laura is more into girls, romantically speaking.

I headcanon that Laura buys clothes from Sissi's mom's fashion brand.

I can see her being a fan of "ceilings" by Lizzy McAlpine.

I think Laura has the potential to be even smarter than Jeremie, even better than him, too. But she lacks some of his empathy. It's not necessarily a bad thing -- just shows how people who are similar are also different.

Adding on to this, Laura might not be very in touch with her emotions, and might come off as unempathetic. She's just misunderstood, but she's not helping her own case.

Like with Sissi, I think she could be so much more, if she matures and grows into her truest self.

Odd Della Robbia

BEFORE I START, LET ME JUST SAY THAT ODD DELLA ROBBIA IS THE BEST FICTIONAL CHARACTER TO EXIST.

I know it's said that Samantha Knight is the person Odd really really loves, but I headcanon Odd to be a no-commitments soul. He enjoys PDA and dates, but he's probably the most comfortable when he's by himself.

He's a top-tier bisexual.

I headcanon that Odd is allergic to cats. His family definitely seems like the type to have cats at home and he's hated it because all he's done is sneeze.

He's the family favourite. I think this is canon too, which is why he was allowed to get Kiwi as a pet. His sisters probably hated that smh.

This might be a personal wish-fulfilment headcanon, but I think Odd didn't learn how to ride a bicycle. He learned the skateboard, but not the bicycle.

He also feels like the kind of person to hate long car rides? He doesn't like sitting in one place for hours.

Odd is really good at remembering birthdays, anniversaries, and special days. Considering how he had to remind Ulrich that Yumi's birthday had passed, this is probably a canon thing.

Ulrich Stern

Ulrich's a rich kid. Canon. He's known Sissi for ages. Canon.

I headcanon that Ulrich and Sissi were on good terms before both of them hit puberty and Sissi kept forcing herself onto him.

Ulrich's best friend was probably Sissi before everything went downhill between them. Then, Odd and the Lyoko warriors happened.

Martial arts are Ulrich's way of communicating with his inner self. Penchaksilat, karate... he's very self-disciplined.

I think that's why he is so attracted to Yumi in the first place. Her being his equal in terms of martial arts would have been very appealing to him.

With reference to Aelita, Ulrich gives big brother energy and Odd gives little brother energy.

Ulrich is probably the most protective of Aelita out of them all. Of course, Jeremie worships her, but Ulrich has the means to fight anyone who messes with his lil sis.

He played with a lot of samurai toys when he was younger.

Ulrich seems to be the type of guy to like haunted houses.

William Dunbar

I LOVE WILLIAM WITH MY HEART AND SOUL, YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND—

Well.

William is definitely king of reading classics and books. He gives Yumi a book on poetry in Evolution, right? He loves romance novels and crime thrillers, and probably reads for an hour a day.

When you think about it, William and Ulrich are very similar. Both of them are only childs with wealthy backgrounds, but the difference lies in the fact that William is loved by his parents, while Ulrich's relationship with his own are strained.

William's favorite fruit is orange.

Lyoko gave him a lot of PTSD, but he loves the thrill, and he's still a very honorable man. That's why he comes back.

William and Aelita have an unusual friendship, I think. They can relate to being haunted by X.A.N.A. It's very unfortunate that they have limited interactions in the show and in Evolution too.

I can definitely see William going into the military or the CIA. He gives me those vibes.

ALSO, I think William would probably end up with someone who's way younger than him (maybe 3 years younger) – someone with a lot of vitality and optimism — and probably blonde.

(My OC for William is blonde, but this isn't about me—)

MOVING ON

Yumi Ishiyama

Yumi was brought up in a very traditional household, as we know.

Yumi would be very into Asian literature and classics, as mentioned in Jeremie's section.

Yumi doesn't look like it to most people, but she's the most motherly out of all of them. She's a big sister, and she's had to raise Hiroki when her parents were fighting and they almost divorced and all.

I think Yumi's slightly spiritual too. Not to the extent where she fully believes in prayers and ancient rituals, but she understands the significance of her culture and respects them.

Yumi loves fireworks and shooting stars. I headcanon her as a bit of an astrology freak.

I also think that Yumi is bisexual? Or at least, she's always been curious about it.

I think she's had a curious phase about everything. But once she understands, she has the capacity to evaluate for herself and make right decisions.

A/N: These are just my personal headcanons. I can do more of these, and relationship headcanons or friendship headcanons too, if I get requests, or strokes of inspiration. I hope you like these!

I’m seeing a parallel between Yumi’s reaction to William joining the Lyoko Warriors and Aelita’s reaction to Laura joining. The weird thing is that Yumi has every right not to trust William. He’s been an aggressive stalker to her. But Laura? What’s the problem with her? She’s a girl and she’s smart, and Jeremy is a boy and he’s smart, so Aelita thinks “oh no, she’s a threat?” I know she altered the return to the past so her memories wouldn’t get erased, but compared to William, that’s nothing.

Banana sweater

This pattern was shared on the old server. So, because it still takes forever until I'm finished with the next part of "Life continues after the adventure" but I also joked that since Laura is learning to knit in that stories her making this to prank Travis would be a cute little fic. For Christmas. As a present?

I'll probably upload it at a later time to Ao3 but only after I finished the next piece and I probably reworked it a bit. xD

It probably helps to know the the other stories but I think this is fine alone too.

Laura is in North Kill for a year now and is the assistant of the local vet but will soon finish her studies. She is part of a small crafts-circle that the old women of North Kill use to chat and have some fun. The town is mostly filled with old people, young one leaving the town as soon as possible.

After Laura's return she and Travis became friends and their relationship moved so far that they often share their evenings, falling asleep together on the couch in Lauras apartment. But nothing happened between them yet.

All Hacketts except Bobby are dead, all counsellors survived in this timeline.

"Hey, Ladies! Look at this!" Mrs. Gauthier came into the city community center, just as Laura was helping Mrs. Waldmann preparing another pot of coffee in the little corner kitchen.

Mrs. Gautier put down a couple of printed pages. Laura couldn‘t see much but that it was a knitting pattern and taking in the reactions of some of the women it was probably something perverted. Laura hurried with her task and then walked over to see what some of them were laughing about while others shook their heads.

It was called a banana-sweater but it could be obviously used for something else too. Laura laughed. It was actually quite cute with the little button.

"What do you think, Laura?" Mrs. Gauthier was still smirking as Mrs. Waldmann walked up to the group too.

"Bananas have it all. Hammocks in summer, little sweaters in winter…" Laura shrugged and Mrs. Gauthier laughed about that little joke. She then collected the papers again.

"My granddaughter sent it to me, asked me to make a few for a bachelorette party. Her best friend is getting married."

"That is so nice!"

Laura returned into the kitchen corner to get the coffee and also to avoid any possible upcoming questions about when she was going to get married.

Sometimes it felt like she had adopted a bunch of grandmas when she joined this crafts circle.

Nonetheless…

When Laura returned to the table the women had already arranged some of the treats and helped themselves to some of the drinks.

"Mrs. Gauthier, is it okay if I sit beside you and also try this pattern?"

"Of course!"

"What do you need this pattern for?" Mrs. Miller asked her question showing how much she liked to gossip.

"I have a friend I want to prank next time I see them," Laura smiled thinking about it.

"A small friend that is keeping you company on lonely nights?" It was Mrs. Collier asking that question with a smirk. Her friend Mrs Miller laughed along.

Laura smiled and shook her head and then winked. "No, I mean a real human friend. Surprisingly I have them."

Not that Laura would ever admit that she also had a "little friend" that she maybe or maybe not had gotten at the store last time when she was with her mom for Thanksgiving. Not like she could get one in North Kill or order one.

People would know. And she needed one. Fingers were nice and all but recently… that little friend wasn’t small.

Laura got to work. She had a banana to dress.

"Laura, why does this banana have a little…"

Laura glanced out of the kitchen to see Travis stare at the fruit bowl that was standing on the living room table. His expression was exactly what she had hoped for.

Utter confusion.

"It’s a sweater!" Laura managed to sound chipper and didn’t laugh at his questioning glance towards her and returned to the kitchen, keeping an eye on the scrambled eggs. "I made it at the crafts meeting!"

Laura had to shout a little to make sure that Travis would hear her.

"Uh huh…"

"Little sweater before I start with a big one for you!"

"A sweater… for a banana?"

"Yeah!"

Laura could hear Travis step up into the doorway to the kitchen: "And since when did you put fruits on the table?"

She turned towards him, with her best innocent smile in place.

"The other women told me that I should eat more fruits and who am I to not listen to the council of the wise ladies of North Kill?"

"Two oranges and one banana with a sweater?" Laura had to turn back to the stove in an attempt to hide her smile.

"There is also a pear and two apples under those…"

Travis walked out again but not without answering. "Sure. You stick to that story, ma’am."

Taking a deep breath to not either start shouting or laughing, Laura turned off the stove and grabbed two plates and put some bread into the toaster. He was right of course. The placement was very deliberate. She wanted to prank him. Cause a reaction. And she had gotten one. Maybe there was more?

While waiting for the bread Laura got the ketchup and two bottles of beer from the fridge.

It gave her the chance to look out and see Travis glaring at the offending fruit bowl. Finally he reached for the banana and apparently compared it to his hand. There was a small snort and a calm "it’s smaller" and Laura hid away before he could see her sneaking glances.

What was that about? He couldn’t mean…

Suddenly the toaster finished heating up the bread, causing Laura to yelp.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah! I‘ll be out with you any moment."

Taking a deep breath, she put everything on a tablet and walked to the couch and put it down on the table while Travis moved the fruit bowl to her desk.

Finally they sat down, Laura started one of the many Christmas movies.

"When you start with that sweater for me please make sure that it is big enough. I would hate not to be able to wear it because of my size," he grabbed his plate.

Laura halted in her reach towards the ketchup bottle, glancing towards Travis who looked way too nonchalant. He returned her look with a perfectly neutral face and nodded toward her plate. "Aren’t you hungry?"

What the fuck? This was not how it was supposed to be! He was not supposed to be the one teasing her!

"Of course I would take your measurements before I start with such a big project!" She added ketchup to her toast and bit into it.

He snorted at that and also continued with his meal and drink.

Great! Now what?!

She had known that Travis was big! You can wake up with a dick poking you only so many times before you start to guess the size.

But if he really was bigger than that stupid banana… the fruit was bigger than her toy!

God!

How the fuck was she supposed to look at him and not think about his dick?! It had already been a struggle before. She was way too aware of her attraction. Well, she would just have to deal with it…

She glanced over to him as he was slowly eating his toast now ignoring her and way too focused on the movie.

Damn him!

She would get back at him. Eating and listening to the movie with only half an ear she glanced over to the fruits and then had an idea.

After they finished Laura decided to also take everything back into the kitchen and then came back with a can of whipped cream and chocolate sauce. She then walked back to her desk.

"Do you want some fruit?"

"No, thanks."

Laura grabbed the banana and sat down with her loot, slowly undressing the fruit and then opening it up.

She then cuddled up to Travis who she could see from the corner of her eye, watching her with some curious attention. She had to move away from him again to grab the cream to add it to the tip of the banana and added some of the chocolate just to make it not as obvious. For the same reason she decided against basically deepthroating it. Also she actually wanted to enjoy the treat.

And that she did, bit into the fruit and actually the only thing missing was some ice cream but she would have to get up for that again and laziness finally won. A joke should only go so far. But it was delicious and it had been some time since she had eaten a treat like that and so she let out a low moan.

Laura realized that she couldn’t see any reaction Travis might have had right now but that wasn’t even the most important part right now. Still, a little bit more teasing would be fun. So, she turned to him and caught his eyes rushing from her to the screen and a slight blush on his cheeks and ears.

"Want a bite?"

"No…," his voice was hoarse and he had to clear his throat. "No, thank you."

With a smile and being sure she won this round Laura cuddled back into Travis side, both cream and sauce between them and she continued to eat her dessert, adding mostly whipped cream and moaning from time to time.

"You know fruit is not very healthy when you add that stuff," Travis glanced down at her just as she was licking some cream off the fruit and then biting a piece off again. She could hear him inhale.

"You know I know that but also that I don’t care. Last chance to get a piece!" Laura got out the last piece of the fruit and threw the peel on the table and added cream and chocolate to then hold it up to Travis, not expecting him to actually eat it.

But he did. And before she knew what happened he moved forward and for a short moment her fingers were in his mouth and there was a short suck and lick on her thumb. And… fuck! What the fuck?! No fucking way.

"Yeah, it's good. I’ll take one next time too."

Now it was on Laura to exhale the breath she hadn’t known she had held. There was only one way to react to this: angry laughter.

"Eww!" Laura laughed and wiped off her hand on Travis shirt, doing her best to ignore how his chest felt and not remembering the times she saw him without shirt. "You’re disgusting!"

"You keep forgetting that I’m a big brother and an uncle! I basically helped to raise four children."

There was a short and awkward silence, the movie completely forgotten by now. Laura put the cream and sauce back on the table to then return to Travis side and cuddle into him, trying to be as close as possible and mumbling a "I’m sorry" into his chest.

He laid both his arms around her, pulled her closer and planted a little kiss on the top of Laura's head. She really liked that feeling. Would have been nicer under different circumstances.

"No, I’m sorry. I should not have said that."

"I fear it will always be between us in the end…"

He hummed in agreement but kissed her again. A way to say it was fine, that it was the past but it would still always be there. Only one of the four was still around.

Laura sighed and turned her head to the screen, getting into an even more comfortable position.

"Well, today I learned that I won’t win in a prank war against you."

"That is smart of you to figure out."

"Because I am smart." "Yes, you are."

They stayed silent for a few moments and glancing around Laura saw the banana sweater lying nearby and grabbed it to hold it up to Travis.

"Just so you know, it is one size fits all. Or most… bananas that is."

Again there was a neutral look, and raised eyebrows. He took the little knitted piece and pulled it over three of his fingers and stretched them as a test.

Finally he glanced down at her: "Most."

"Oh, shut up!" She grabbed the piece and threw it on the floor, feeling laughter vibrate through his chest. "I’ll knit a banana pattern into your sweater!" "Whatever it turns out to look like, I’ll wear it. As long as it’s not too small."

Laura smiled at that, finally looking at the screen and relaxing further and enjoying the evening.

Sissi and Laura -- the Same kind of Weird Besties

And this is my final post for my Code Lyoko friendship pairs series! The idea of pairing Sissi and Laura wasn't there in my mind initially, but as I got around to writing Aelita's and William's, I thought, "Why not Sissi and Laura?"

I hope you enjoy!

PS - I wasn't able to find pictures of Laura and Sissi because they literally have no interactions in the show, and I didn't want to use others' images, so you can google up images to look at while you read this, I guess.

Sissi and Laura are very different people on the surface -- or so we think.

Listen! Both Sissi and Laura wanted to be a part of the Lyoko gang.

Both of them had an affinity and a rivalry with two members of the group (Sissi has an affinity for Ulrich and thus rivals with Yumi, and with Laura, its Jeremie ad Aelita).

Though I think Laura is bi with a greater romantic attraction towards those who identify as female (these are just my thoughts).

So, in evolution, Sissi is portrayed as a blonde. I fully stand by this, though I think its more likely that she dyed her hair for fun, rather than permanently.

In between where the original series stopped and when evolution began, Sissi must've had a maturing phase, where, after hanging out with the group like a normal person, she grew out of her insecurities regarding Ulrich and grew into her own person.

I think part of that growth was the need for a makeover, so she dyed her hair blonde and gave herself a new look.

And doesn't really pester the others as much anymore.

I also think that after the Lyoko intrigue faded away, and after the first time they shut down the Supercomputer and after Sissi kinda sorta hung out with the gang, she realized they weren't as cool as she thought they'd be (something like how you think a certain state of life is greater than it actually is, but when you get to it, you're bored) and that's when she sorta grew into her own person.

Now, Laura is highly intelligent and she figured out a way to specifically exclude herself from the Return to the Past program. Remember, Jeremie had to literally cut-copy-paste whatever program Franz Hopper had written down in the supercomputer to execute it, and Laura figured out how to modify the damn program with just a few minutes (max two hours) of system time!

But Laura lacks in empathy and emotional intelligence sometimes (somewhat similar to Sissi), because she has always just wanted to be included in something.

Push comes to shove, and evolution happens, and Laura is kicked out of the group because Jeremie and Aelita figured out how to make Return to the Past work for Laura again.

You would think that's how Sissi and Laura become friends, but nope.

Sissi would have already seen Laura for who she was -- someone who used to be exactly like her -- while she was slightly integrated into the group.

I think she'd have a soft pity-laugh to herself, because she understands that the Lyoko warriors are always exclusive to each other, and trying to mesh into that is tiring. You always get pushed out anyway.

But obviously, the real Return to the Past happens, and even Sissi forgets she was feeling those feelings for her.

However, Laura's memories would be really really altered and she'd have some time figuring out whether she was hallucinating or having deja vu with the gang, you know? You can't tell me that a Return to the Past specifically catered to erasing Laura's memories can't have specific side-effects for her.

I think she might end up at the infirmary for something while Sissi also happens to be there.

Then Sissi opens up about how she'd always try to find out more about the gang, only for it to be totally stupid stuff. And once she actually got to know them, she figured out that they were an acquired taste.

Sissi: Headache?

Laura: Kinda, yeah. I've been having a lot of migraines lately.

Sissi: Weren't you with Jeremy and his friends?

Laura: Belpois? It's... actually weird. I haven't spoken to them too much, but I feel like I already know them, though I can't quite seem to put it into words. It's weird.

Sissi: Oh yeah. I get that vibe from them too. Most of the time. Ulrich's like that, you know -- some days I feel like he and I have something unsaid in our friendship, and the next day, he's a total mystery.

Laura: Strange.

Sissi: Very strange.

They definitely bond over their weird dislike over the Lyoko gang.

Sissi: It all started even before, but it intensified after Odd's cousin Aelita showed up.

Laura: The one with the pink hair? I think she's kinda cute Laura is definitely bi and I think she definitely thinks Aelita is cute.

Sissi: Please, there are a few unwritten rules at Kadic. One, I'm the best. Two, every girl goes through Della Robbia at some point. Three, Jim would rather not talk about anything that happened to him before Kadic, and Four, Jeremie and Aelita are meant to be. Heck, I don't even like them that much but I never mess with either one or the other goes feral.

They're the kind of besties who bond over bitching.

Laura: You used to like Stern? He's not even that attractive!

Sissi: You have to admit, he's a little cute.

Laura: No. If anyone's good-looking there, it's Dunbar.

Sissi: The pretend-emo who's eternally in love with Ishiyama? Seriously?

Laura: He's tall!

Sissi brings out Laura's inner petty-feminine energy (in a good way) and Laura helps ground Sissi sometimes.

So even though they never saw each other coming, they became the unlikeliest of best friends because they just get each other.

Laura: We should form our own gang.

Sissi: No, they're all too dumb for me and too normal for you.

Laura: You realize you just classified yourself as not normal?

Sissi: Of course! I'm extraordinary.

Laura: *laugh* You have a point.

Sissi: AND smart! See, Laura, we lucked out and now we're best friends.

Laura: We're best friends? How sweet of you.

Sissi: Yeah, I think we're the same kind of weird.

Bonus:

Odd: Who would've thought Sissi and Laura would end up best buds?

Jeremie: Yeah, it's a bit shocking.

Aelita: I think it's nice. It's definitely poetic.

Ulrich: I can see that, kind of. Sissi was obsessed with me, Laura was obsessed with Jeremie. I think they just need someone obsessed with Odd for a trio. And probably someone obsessed with William too, though I can't think of any reason why.

William: I thought we're friends now, Ulrich?

Ulrich: I mean, mad respect for you, but rivalry is kind of our thing.

Yumi: Thank god you aren't incharge of maturity in this group.

Ulrich: Of course. That's all Odd.
