I'm working on a request for Code Lyoko atm, but meanwhile, here are some headcanons!

Headcanons - Code Lyoko

Aelita Schaeffer

I headcanon that Aelita's music and dj mixing skills are rooted in her dad playing the piano and teaching her about music.

It also gives her trauma and nightmares, as we've all seen in the canon episodes tho..

And though she's smart and brainy, I don't see her going to read literature books or novels. Idk if that's just me.

I think she finds comfort in information rather than fiction, so maybe she would prefer non-fiction genres.

I also think that Aelita would like butterscotch ice cream. It's cute.

There are days where she has hallucinations and nightmares because of X.A.N.A and Franz Hopper and her past, and she would like nothing more than to listen to music while cuddling with Mister Puck and having butterscotch ice cream.

Also, much like Nicholas, a lot of people find Aelita cute. Adding to her popularity that rose from her DJ skills, she's sure to have a lot of people having crushes on her. But of course, she's only got eyes for Jeremie.

Remember that lookalike of Aelita who got only one episode on the show? Taelia? I headcanon that people in Kadic call them twins, and they eventually become good friends. I think Jim would get very confused and would put Aelita and Taelia in different classes for the sake of his own sanity.

Elizabeth "Sissi" Delmas

Sissi is a child of divorce (I think that's also canon).

I headcanon that her parents had a slightly significant age difference, because Principal Delmas looks vv old. Sissi's mom was four years younger than him -- I headcanon her to be a fashion designer, she was very impulsive and liked to live in the moment, but eventually, the love they had for each other fizzled out and they divorced.

I also think that maybe her mom wasn't what you would call "maternal". She knows this too, and accepted it when Sissi's dad contested for her during the divorce. It doesn't mean that her mom loves her less, though. She's just aware that her father could care for her daughter better than she could, and chooses to love Sissi in her own way.

I think it was mentioned somewhere in the website wiki that Sissi goes on shopping sprees with her mom, so that could be their love language. I also think that Sissi digs her mother's fashion style and did a little tweaks of that to turn it into her own.

I think that, Ulrich was her best friend before, and they bonded over having turbulent family situations. It was natural for her to catch feelings for someone who understood her, and hence she liked Ulrich. When Ulrich rejected her (multiple times), she was put off, but just didn't know how to handle their friendship from that point onward.

Sissi knows how to bandage wounds professionally (canon) and I think it was mentioned that she wanted to become a nurse. I definitely see that as a career for her, once she's matured and grown into her own self.

She's definitely a writer on the side. She would write under the pen name Sissi for sure.

I love Sissi a lot. She's so much more than what's shown on screen. I'd have loved to see her grow into the person she's actually meant to become, after some maturity and heart-to-hearts with Ulrich and her parents, too.

Jeremie Belpois

Jeremie needs naps.

A lot of naps. Poor guy.

Jeremie has definitely read classics. I also headcanon Yumi to like classics and literature, so I think both of them would bond a lot over this.

I also headcanon Jeremie to be comfortable with certain colors only – like, he wears blues and browns and some beige tones – and you wouldn't find colors like pink or yellow in his wardrobe.

Jeremie's cousin is said to look like him, right? And that guy – Patrick, I think – was a brunette and wore black rock aesthetic clothing. I think that both of them actually looked similar when they were kids, and Patrick must've changed his look at some point to have that poofy hair instead. This probably annoyed Jeremie, but now that they're on good terms, he probably teases Patrick about it a lot (and also has baby pictures to prove his point).

I can see how I turned this into Patrick headcanons. Sorry.

Jeremie likes long walks during the night. When he's not working on Lyoko related stuff, and when he's not able to sleep, he walks around at night.

His prized possession(s) is the set of polaroids that he took with Aelita on one of her first nights on Earth. He has them in a safe (and yes, he definitely has a safe that he hasn't told anyone about. Except Aelita.).

Laura Gauthier

Laura made some poor choices in Evolution, but hey, Sissi made poor choices in the original show too! People can always improve, and change.

Laura was brought up in a very strict household, where only the very best was expected from her.

That's why she desperately wanted to show her dad the laboratory at the old factory and say, "See? I'm a part of something big."

Laura has closeted lesbian energy. Evolution kinda made a big rivalry between Aelita and Laura for Jeremie, to see who was his better equal and all, but I think Laura didn't care about that and just liked getting Aelita riled up. I think Laura is more into girls, romantically speaking.

I headcanon that Laura buys clothes from Sissi's mom's fashion brand.

I can see her being a fan of "ceilings" by Lizzy McAlpine.

I think Laura has the potential to be even smarter than Jeremie, even better than him, too. But she lacks some of his empathy. It's not necessarily a bad thing -- just shows how people who are similar are also different.

Adding on to this, Laura might not be very in touch with her emotions, and might come off as unempathetic. She's just misunderstood, but she's not helping her own case.

Like with Sissi, I think she could be so much more, if she matures and grows into her truest self.

Odd Della Robbia

BEFORE I START, LET ME JUST SAY THAT ODD DELLA ROBBIA IS THE BEST FICTIONAL CHARACTER TO EXIST.

I know it's said that Samantha Knight is the person Odd really really loves, but I headcanon Odd to be a no-commitments soul. He enjoys PDA and dates, but he's probably the most comfortable when he's by himself.

He's a top-tier bisexual.

I headcanon that Odd is allergic to cats. His family definitely seems like the type to have cats at home and he's hated it because all he's done is sneeze.

He's the family favourite. I think this is canon too, which is why he was allowed to get Kiwi as a pet. His sisters probably hated that smh.

This might be a personal wish-fulfilment headcanon, but I think Odd didn't learn how to ride a bicycle. He learned the skateboard, but not the bicycle.

He also feels like the kind of person to hate long car rides? He doesn't like sitting in one place for hours.

Odd is really good at remembering birthdays, anniversaries, and special days. Considering how he had to remind Ulrich that Yumi's birthday had passed, this is probably a canon thing.

Ulrich Stern

Ulrich's a rich kid. Canon. He's known Sissi for ages. Canon.

I headcanon that Ulrich and Sissi were on good terms before both of them hit puberty and Sissi kept forcing herself onto him.

Ulrich's best friend was probably Sissi before everything went downhill between them. Then, Odd and the Lyoko warriors happened.

Martial arts are Ulrich's way of communicating with his inner self. Penchaksilat, karate... he's very self-disciplined.

I think that's why he is so attracted to Yumi in the first place. Her being his equal in terms of martial arts would have been very appealing to him.

With reference to Aelita, Ulrich gives big brother energy and Odd gives little brother energy.

Ulrich is probably the most protective of Aelita out of them all. Of course, Jeremie worships her, but Ulrich has the means to fight anyone who messes with his lil sis.

He played with a lot of samurai toys when he was younger.

Ulrich seems to be the type of guy to like haunted houses.

William Dunbar

I LOVE WILLIAM WITH MY HEART AND SOUL, YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND—

Well.

William is definitely king of reading classics and books. He gives Yumi a book on poetry in Evolution, right? He loves romance novels and crime thrillers, and probably reads for an hour a day.

When you think about it, William and Ulrich are very similar. Both of them are only childs with wealthy backgrounds, but the difference lies in the fact that William is loved by his parents, while Ulrich's relationship with his own are strained.

William's favorite fruit is orange.

Lyoko gave him a lot of PTSD, but he loves the thrill, and he's still a very honorable man. That's why he comes back.

William and Aelita have an unusual friendship, I think. They can relate to being haunted by X.A.N.A. It's very unfortunate that they have limited interactions in the show and in Evolution too.

I can definitely see William going into the military or the CIA. He gives me those vibes.

ALSO, I think William would probably end up with someone who's way younger than him (maybe 3 years younger) – someone with a lot of vitality and optimism — and probably blonde.

(My OC for William is blonde, but this isn't about me—)

MOVING ON

Yumi Ishiyama

Yumi was brought up in a very traditional household, as we know.

Yumi would be very into Asian literature and classics, as mentioned in Jeremie's section.

Yumi doesn't look like it to most people, but she's the most motherly out of all of them. She's a big sister, and she's had to raise Hiroki when her parents were fighting and they almost divorced and all.

I think Yumi's slightly spiritual too. Not to the extent where she fully believes in prayers and ancient rituals, but she understands the significance of her culture and respects them.

Yumi loves fireworks and shooting stars. I headcanon her as a bit of an astrology freak.

I also think that Yumi is bisexual? Or at least, she's always been curious about it.

I think she's had a curious phase about everything. But once she understands, she has the capacity to evaluate for herself and make right decisions.

A/N: These are just my personal headcanons. I can do more of these, and relationship headcanons or friendship headcanons too, if I get requests, or strokes of inspiration. I hope you like these!

I did another redraw...

I REALLY love Odd's stubborn best friend attitude here. Some people write him off as a goofball, but what makes him one of my favorite characters is the LAYERS.

He plays the "funny man" to keep the people he cares about in good spirits. He's not very "traditionally" intelligent the way Jeremie is, but he's clever and witty, and he uses that to his advantage.

-but most importantly, he's incredibly sympathetic, and it shows.

You just have to know where to look.

Fanfic Snippet: Never Like That

Just a cute clip from my current fanfic I'm working on!

Odd x Sissi from Code Lyoko; So far, it's 25k with 6 chapters. ❤

“What are you even doing out here?” she said, leaning back to sit fully on the bench.

Odd smiled. “Well, I have a duty to my dog- I mean,” he said, gesturing to Kiwi who was sniffing Sissi’s legs, intrigued by the new visitor. “My dog has a dooty. If you know what I mean.”

His smile widened as he grinned at his own joke. Sissi looked wide-eyed at his dog and suddenly stifled a giggling laugh.

“I’m guessing it’s a serious duty.” she said, rolling her eyes but finally giving him a full smile.

Odd felt a warm pulse in his chest.

“Yeah, a really big dooty, considering his size.” Odd patted his knees in an attempt to get Kiwi to jump up.

Sissi laughed a little harder, a light bubbling sound that had never been present when they were around each other. The warmth in his chest crept up to his ears and he looked quickly down at Kiwi, trying to hide the effect her laughter was having on him.

At least she wasn’t sad anymore.

“You know,” Sissi said contemplatively, “I don’t think you’ve ever told me your dog’s name.”

Odd nodded, looking towards Sissi carefully. “You never asked.”

Sissi opened her mouth as if she was going to say something. Odd’s eyes darted to her glossy pink lips a couple of times before he was bombarded with several kisses from his dog.

Kiwi had jumped into his face, licking him as he wagged his tail.

“Alright! Alright!” he said, laughing. “This is Kiwi. I believe you two have met.”

Kiwi barked in response.

Sissi chuckled beside him as he calmed his dog down. Looking at her again, Odd smiled.

“Do you want to pet him?”

“Oh!” she said, a little surprised at the gesture.

Odd was unsure if she would want to be licked by Kiwi but the soft lighthearted side of her was completely distracting. He was on unfamiliar terms when it came to gentle gestures between himself and Sissi.

He held Kiwi up to her slightly. “He won’t bite. I promise.”

“Well,” she said hesitating, “I really do like dogs.”

Sissi smiled then and her hand reached out towards Kiwi’s head. Kiwi, who would usually bark at her, was behaving quite wonderfully. He sniffed her hand for a moment before letting her rub his ears. Sissi gently ran her fingers through his thin fur.

“He’s so soft.” she said.

Odd nodded, watching her fingers as they moved against his dog.

“Yeah,” he said, “he’s great for cuddling.”

Sissi nodded and leaned into Odd’s space, giving Kiwi a small kiss on the forehead.

“I’m sure you are.” she said, her voice changing into something he could only consider a dog voice. “You’re just so cute, oh I wish I would have known how cute you were.”

Odd felt frozen in front of her. It was the closest they had ever been to one another, other than throwing back and forth insults. They were so close, even in the spring sun, he could feel the heat radiating from her body. Sissi’s demeanor was strikingly different from the harsh persona she put on in front of everyone. It was a completely new side to her that, frankly, Odd was finding hard not to be entranced by.

Sissi smiled brightly, scratching under Kiwi's chin. She looked up from her cooing and froze as well, finally noticing how close they had become.

Her smile dropped, only briefly, as her eyes darted around Odd’s face. Slowly, nervously, she brushed her hair behind her ears.

Odd had never felt so completely compelled to kiss someone before.

20 Years Ago On September 3rd, 2003

THE BEST FRENCH ANIMATION CARTOON EVER MADE

Jeremy Belpois, an 8th grade prodigy attending boarding school at Kadic Academy, discovers a quantum supercomputer in an abandoned factory near his school. Upon activating it, he discovers a virtual world called Lyoko with an artificially intelligent girl named Aelita trapped inside it. Jeremy learns of XANA, a fully autonomous, malevolent, and highly intelligent multi-agent system, that also dwells within the Supercomputer.

Using Lyoko's powers, XANA can possess electronics and objects in the real world like a virus to wreak havoc. XANA's primary objective is to eliminate anyone aware of the Supercomputer's existence so that it will be free to conquer the real world and destroy all humanity.

Jeremy works tirelessly to materialize Aelita into the real world and stop attacks caused by XANA. Jeremy is aided by his three friends Odd Della Robbia, Ulrich Stern, and Yumi Ishiyama, who are virtualized into Lyoko to save both worlds from the sinister virtual entity. They achieve this by escorting Aelita to various Towers on Lyoko, which serve as interface terminals between Lyoko and Earth. Once the Tower is deactivated, Jeremy can launch a "Return to the Past" program, which sends the world back in time to undo any damage caused by XANA, while anyone scanned into the Supercomputer retains their memory of the events. In "Code: Earth," Aelita is finally materialized, but the group discovers that XANA had planted a virus inside of her that will kill her if the Supercomputer is turned off. They realize that they cannot destroy XANA, or Aelita will be destroyed along with it.

Hey do you have any good Code Lyoko fics that focus particularly on angst or the trauma the Lyoko Warriors went through? I've been trying to find some good ones, I saw you mention a fic where Yumi went to therapy and I was wondering if there were any more fics out there thay examine the trauma the warriors faced.

Code Secret Santa 2022

A/N: Hey Kaula, it's your Code Secret Santa. I hope you like it. One of your prompts was the gang getting to act like the kids they are, so here they are playing video games (with a hint of Odd/Ulrich just for you~). Timeline is post-Echoes.

Title: How to Get K.O.’d in Your Favorite Game

It was a peaceful day at Kadic Academy.

Key word: was.

Because today was the day Odd Della Robbia had gotten ahold of the television set in the rec room, and when he did, all chaos broke loose. He'd been waiting all week to play his favorite racing game with his friends after the principal had allowed video games in the rec room. And not just any racing game.

Mario Kart: Double Dash.

It was the perfect choice. Aelita had never heard of video games until she had met Odd, and this was the first one she held an interest in, and Jeremie, ever since X.A.N.A.'s defeat, had a bunch of free time now but no idea how to spend it. So, Odd had decided that he, Ulrich, and Yumi would teach the two geniuses about video games and fun (and if he owned Ulrich at the same time, well, that was just a welcome bonus).

However, it got chaotic real quick as he realized that just because this was his favorite game, he wasn't actually the best at it.

"Wha-?!" Odd's eyebrow twitched as Aelita's kart passed him just a millisecond before he crossed the finish line. "How did you-...?!"

Aelita was trying (and failing) to hide her giggles behind her hand, as the tv screen in front of them was flashing the results, showing Aelita's Yoshi and Birdo duo as the winner.

"Nice job, Aelita," Yumi said, a proud smile on her face. "Way to put Odd in his place."

"'In my place'-" The shock made Odd cut himself off mid-sentence. "What did I do?!"

"You were bragging, Odd," Ulrich reminded him, amusement clear in his voice.

"I was not bragging!"

"You said," Jeremie cut in, "and I quote, 'This is my favorite game in the entire world. No one can be better at it than me'." If you were paying close attention, you could hear him trying to stifle his chuckles.

"I'm just surprised that Aelita beat me on her first try!"

The pinkette shrugged, "What can I say? I'm a fast learner."

"And the trash talk?" Odd asked, a knowing smile on his face. "Where'd you learn that? 'Cause I'm pretty sure you didn't learn it from me."

Aelita's only response was an embarrassed smile.

"Good job, Aelita," Ulrich said. "Now, let's see if Einstein's better than Odd at this too."

"Hey!" Odd protested, as Jeremie took the controller Aelita handed to him.

"It's okay, Odd," Yumi was calm. "You don't have to be good at a game for it to be your favorite."

"She's right," Jeremie added. "There are plenty other reasons to like a game. And who knows? I may be bad."

"I wouldn't be surprised if you beat me, Einstein," Odd admitted. "You're a fast learner, too."

"You could hand the controller to someone else," Ulrich reminded him, "if you want to take a break."

"I'm fine," Odd replied. "We agreed that we'd all get a turn with everybody." His voice went soft. "And this game is my favorite because I'm getting to play it with my best buds. We're here not to win, but to have fun."

His mini-speech was met with four identical smiles filled with fondness and affection.

All five of them had worked themselves to exhaustion just to defeat X.A.N.A.. Their time fighting against the AI was filled with sleepless nights, too many excuses to skip class, many bad grades, and way too many close calls for comfort. But they did it, and it was worth it because all five of them were still here. And now, they could afford to play video games without worrying when Jeremie's laptop would go off again next.

"Aww, how sweet. Did you get that from a fortune cookie?" And then Ulrich had to ruin the moment.

"And if I did? Can't I be humble every once in a while?"

"Not when it comes to video games."

"Say that to my face, Stern!"

"I just did, Della Robbia."

Yumi cut in, "Should we give you two a room?" On her face was a knowing smirk, and Jeremie and Aelita's expressions were identical.

The two boy's faces turned red when they realized what she was insinuating, "Yumi!!"

The other three could only giggle in response.

Odd shook off his embarrassment, "Now, enough chit-chat! You're going down, Einstein!"

"We'll see about that, Walking Stomach."

"Hey!"

On Lyoko

Here's a collection of my first attempt at a "lineless" art style for the sake of a 3D looking Lyoko. (I've already posted these pieces individually, but I figured they look better all together.)

While posting this I realized I left Jeremie out (oop). I'm considering drawing him at the helm of the super computer in the factory, but I won't waste my time if nobody wants to see it.

Odd Della Robbia & Kiwi

The story is mostly the same, only XANA is on Earth and therefor, the heroes fight him on Earth with superpowers!

I will RP canon Odd and canon Kiwi too!

Name: Odd Della Robbia Age: 14 Species: Human Gender: Male Pronouns: He/Him Height: 4'8″ Weight: ??? Powers: Shapeshifting into animals, Laser Arrows, Shield, Understanding animals, Enhanced senses (sight, smell, hearing), Stronger bite, Some night vision

A teenager attending Kadic Academy in France along side dozens of other students, however unlike most of the other students, he’s fighting a secret war against an evil AI trying to take over the world! With his friends by his side, his dog, and all his animal friends, he works to keep the AI from getting anymore of an upper hand!

Odd is a fun loving teenager who loves food and prefers to mess around than do school work, but he still does his studies to keep his grades high enough to keep out of trouble. Just enough at least.

He’s a jokester and does his best to keep the moral of the team of heroes up. When it comes to time to fight, he taunts the enemy to help his team that way, with his speed and agility given his hero form as a purple cat, he’s able to use this to his advantage.

Odd can talk to animals and understand them outside of his hero form, he’s much more agile, and has enhanced hearing and eyesight and slight night vision. It is unclear if he can purr.

His season 1 Earth outfit is his main outfit, for his hero outfit see the bottom of the post!

He also has green eyes!

Kiwi Della Robbia

Name: Kiwi Della Robbia Age: Young Species: Dog Gender: Male Pronouns: He/Him Height: Medium/Small Weight: ??? Powers: Shapeshifting into wereform, Enhanced senses overall, Human level smarts (6 year old), Higher tolerance, Able to understand humans

Kiwi can now help fight XANA! The beloved doggo can shape shift into a werewolf like form called Werekiwi! Its slightly bigger than a wolf and comes with the werewolf bulk and strength! He can now also understand humans and understand other things too, as he can now sort of read and understand concepts like time and complex dangers.

He’s also able to survive more too, having a higher tolerance to things that would normally harm dogs. While he’ll still get sick if he eats too much, he’s able to get into things without getting extremely ill as quickly. Meaning XANA can’t take the mutt out as easily!

Kiwi is an early warning system for certain kinds of XANA attacks as well as an aid to help fight or just be a distraction if they need one!

His hero form is a large werewolf looking beast, bigger than a wolf, but only slightly taller than the the heroes, so about 5′3″.

Kiwi has brown eyes.

Outside of hero form has all his expect his senses are dulled. Still can pick on XANA attacks though. And Odd’s socks.

Part 1 Emotional Neglect

Odd walks into the living room holding a piece of paper in his hand. His parents stop talking to one another and turn to Odd, smiling

Mrs. Della Robbia: Hello Odd sweetie!

Mr. Della Robbia: How are ya son?

Odd: I’m ok. I wanted to show you guys my report card

Mr. Della Robbia: I’m sure you did fine! Especially in the arts and music!

Mrs. Della Robbia: Don’t forget about theater! You always do so well in those classes!

Odd: I know. But I wanted to talk about my other classes. Like math and science

Mr. Della Robbia: Ah don’t worry about it son. Maybe those teachers are being too hard on you

Mrs. Della Robbia: And maybe the work load is too much. We know you always do your best sweetie!

Mr. Della Robbia: Even if you failed its ok! Just know that we love you no matter what!

Odd: Um, ok. Thanks I guess

Mrs. Della Robbia: Oh, I need to get started on dinner.

Mr. Della Robbia: I’ll go help you honey

Both Mr and Mrs. Della Robbia walk away into the kitchen. Odd clenches the report card in his hand

Odd: Why won’t they just listen to me? Why won’t they even attempt to get mad at me?

Part 2 Talk with Adele

Odd is laying in his bed. He stares at his report card that he holds above his face

Odd: I barely passed. Straight D’s in everything besides the arts. It’s not a big deal since I plan to go to art school anyway, but I wish they at least cared more

A knock is heard at his door

Odd: Huh, who is it?

Odd places his report card on his bed and walks over to his door. He hears giggling on the other end

Odd: If you’re gonna make fun of me I’m not in the mood ok!

The giggling stops. Odd’s door is pushed open revealing his sister Adele

Adele: I thought you’d at least lock the door

Odd: I guess I forgot

Adele: *sigh* what’s wrong?

Odd: If you’re gonna tease me then I don’t want you around!

Adele: I won’t. Besides, it’s not fun teasing you when you’re like this

Without asking, Adele walks into Odd’s room and closes the door behind her. She sits on Odd’s bed and motions for him to sit next to her. Sighing, Odd sits down next to Adele

Adele: So, girl problems?

Odd: No its not a girl. Its mom and dad. They’re always too nice to me

Adele: You have it easy. Mom and dad are always getting down hard on us. Me especially for being the oldest

Odd: I never knew that

Adele: Probably since you get the nicer treatment. If anything I wish I was in your shoes

Odd: I wish I was in your shoes! At least they care enough to argue and say how they feel! I just want them to show that they actually care about me!

Adele playfully flicks on Odd on his forehead

Odd: Ow! What was that for!

Adele: They do care about you stupid. I mean, they probably just don’t want to hurt your feelings so they act overly nice. But, I can see how that can come off as fake

Odd: Yeah. And I guess for you guys mom and dad being a bit nicer would help

Adele: Yeah, but they’re not gonna change. They are who they are

Odd: I see

Odd slouches his body over. Adele places her arm around his shoulder

Adele: But we’re gonna be ok. I’ll be moving out in a few years so hopefully it’ll be better

Odd: Ah right. You’re going away for college

Adele: Yeah. Just know that they care, even if they’re not perfect

Odd: Thanks sis. That helps

Adele gets up from Odd’s bed

Adele: Well, I’m a head out. By the way, I left you a little something in your drawer

Odd: I told you to guys to stay out of my room! And I bet you took something didn’t you!

Adele: No idiot. I’m not a monster like you make me out to be. Anyways, Ciao

Adele leaves Odd’s room. Odd walks over to this drawer and opens it. Inside is a small piece of white paper. “Since we’re getting older I’m gonna try not to give you as much of a hard time. But don’t forget that you’re still a pesky dork. Heart symbol”

Odd: *smiles* well, at least she’s trying
