I finished editing all of the chapters I had up of In Your Embrace, and I'm happier with them now.

Now, to fix the chapters that I had written but never posted. There's quite a lot of stuff to fix. My writing style has changed since then. There were a lot of typos and sentence structure issues. There were issues with pacing and how I wrote the character. Hopefully, I can fix all those things.

The voices always followed. It didn’t matter where he was, they were always there.

They would command, poke, and prod. They’d ask him to do things. Bad things. The kind of things that made him tremble and shiver in fear every day, that had him hide beneath the covers at night and pray for morning to come so that they would quiet down, even if just a little.

Not that they ever really stayed quiet for long.

They'd been haunting him ever since he was a small boy. Back then, their request weren't anywhere near as bad.

Things like telling him to draw on the walls with crayon or steal a cookie from the cookie jar before lunch, things which his mother hated, but were relatively harmless.

He was naive, but that was to be expected, he was a child back then, and didn’t know much about the world yet.

He thought they were his friends, his parents assuming the same thing. They thought that their son had an active imagination and made up some mischievous imaginary friends.

But as Eren grew up, their orders would escalate. Eren didn't realize something was off until he was in middle school and they kept pestering him to shoplift, scratching along the walls of his mind until he finally gave in and did as they demanded.

That was when he began to wonder if maybe he had the wrong idea about his so-called friends.

Things got worse after that, and in the end, no matter how much he lamented, cried, and resisted, he had to obey. When they took away his older sister 10 years ago, they’d made it clear what would happen if he didn’t.

There was no way to escape, he would be their prisoner till his death. And maybe even after.

Over the years, he had tried many things to get rid of them. Went to doctors and visited holy places from many different faiths, none of which worked and left him feeling more and more hopeless with each failure. The pain the attempts brought down on him from them certainly didn't help.

He had resigned himself to never be free, Every attempt had failed after all.

And then he showed up, a man in black who referred to himself as an exorcist and gave Eren a taste of hope for the first time since he'd lost his sister 10 years ago.

I can’t reconcile AOT because

What is it that Levi wanted to say to Eren?

The fact that after the time skip there were barely any interactions between the two :(

The fact that there’s no scene of Levi communicating or concerned about Eren during timeskip, considering how much they had to face.

The fact that Levi looks so sad and tired and small when they try to kill Eren in the last arc :(

In the Marley arc when the infighting happened, Levi could have make a difference but nah

Feels like Levi’s contribution and importance got reduced a lot by the author, I remember season 3 he was the one to lead everyone.

Feels like Levi and Eren’s relationship built from the first 3 seasons, disappeared and got forgotten.

It’s like their relationship aren’t as important as others because others got their closure in 139. Did they not matter for Eren? But they are important at least to old Eren.

I just want a little closure between these two...
