वो लोग जो Manipur का रास्ता नहीं जानते। पूर्वोत्तर के राज्यों की राजधानी शायद जानते हो लेकिन कोई दूसरे शहर का नाम तक नहीं बता सकते उनके ज्ञान वर्धन के लिए बता दूं
"मणिपुर समस्या: एक इतिहास"
जब अंग्रेज भारत आए तो उन्होंने पूर्वोत्तर की ओर भी कदम बढ़ाए जहाँ उनको चाय के साथ तेल मिला। उनको इस पर डाका डालना था। उन्होंने वहां पाया कि यहाँ के लोग बहुत सीधे सरल हैं और ये लोग वैष्णव सनातनी हैं। परन्तु जंगल और पहाड़ों में रहने वाले ये लोग पूरे देश के अन्य भाग से अलग हैं तथा इन सीधे सादे लोगों के पास बहुमूल्य सम्पदा है।
अतः अंग्रेज़ों ने सबसे पहले यहाँ के लोगों को देश के अन्य भूभाग से पूरी तरह काटने को सोचा। इसके लिए अंग्रेज लोग ले आए इनर परमिट और आउटर परमिट की व्यवस्था। इसके अंतर्गत कोई भी इस इलाके में आने से पहले परमिट बनवाएगा और एक समय सीमा से आगे नहीं रह सकता। परन्तु इसके उलट अंग्रेजों ने अपने भवन बनवाए और अंग्रेज अफसरों को रखा जो चाय की पत्ती उगाने और उसको बेचने का काम करते थे।
इसके साथ अंग्रेज़ों ने देखा कि इस इलाके में ईसाई नहीं हैं। अतः इन्होने ईसाई मिशनरी को उठा उठा के यहां भेजा। मिशनरीयों ने इस इलाके के लोगों का आसानी से धर्म परिवर्तित करने का काम शुरू किया। जब खूब लोग ईसाई में परिवर्तित हो गए तो अंग्रेज इनको ईसाई राज्य बनाने का सपना दिखाने लगे। साथ ही उनका आशय था कि पूर्वोत्तर से चीन, भारत तथा पूर्वी एशिया पर नजर बना के रखेंगे।
अंग्रेज़ों ने एक चाल और चली। उन्होंने धर्म परिवर्तित करके ईसाई बने लोगों को ST का दर्जा दिया तथा उनको कई सरकारी सुविधाएं दी।
धर्म परिवर्तित करने वालों को कुकी जनजाति और वैष्णव लोगों को मैती समाज कहा जाता है।
तब इतने अलग राज्य नहीं थे और बहुत सरे नगा लोग भी धर्म परिवर्तित करके ईसाई बन गए। धीरे धीरे ईसाई पंथ को मानने वालों की संख्या वैष्णव लोगों से अधिक या बराबर हो गयी। ��ूल लोग सदा अंग्रेजों से लड़ते ��हे जिसके कारण अंग्रेज इस इलाके का भारत से विभाजन करने में नाकाम रहे। परन्तु वो मैती हिंदुओं की संख्या कम करने और परिवर्तित लोगों को अधिक करने में कामयाब रहे। Manipur के 90% भूभाग पर कुकी और नगा का कब्जा हो गया जबकि 10% पर ही मैती रह गए। अंग्रेजों ने इस इलाके में अफीम की खेती को भी बढ़ावा दिया और उस पर ईसाई कुकी लोगों को कब्जा करने दिया।

आज़ादी के बाद (Manipur):
आज़ादी के समय वहां के राजा थे बोध चंद्र सिंह और उन्होंने भारत में विलय का निर्णय किया। 1949 में उन्होंने नेहरू को बोला कि मूल वैष्णव जो कि 10% भूभाग में रह गए है उनको ST का दर्जा दिया जाए। नेहरू ने उनको जाने को कह दिया। फिर 1950 में संविधान अस्तित्व में आया तो नेहरू ने मैती समाज को कोई छूट नहीं दिया। 1960 में नेहरू सरकार द्वारा लैंड रिफार्म एक्ट लाया जिसमे 90% भूभाग वाले कुकी और नगा ईसाईयों को ST में डाल दिया गया। इस एक्ट में ये प्रावधान भी था जिसमे 90% कुकी - नगा वाले कहीं भी जा सकते हैं, रह सकते हैं और जमीन खरीद सकते हैं परन्तु 10% के इलाके में रहने वाले मैती हिंदुओं को ये सब अधिकार नहीं था। यहीं से मैती लोगों का दिल्ली से विरोध शुरू हो गया। नेहरू एक बार भी पूर्वोत्तर के हालत को ठीक करने करने नहीं गए।
उधर ब्रिटैन की MI6 और पाकिस्तान की ISI मिलकर कुकी और नगा को हथियार देने लगी जिसका उपयोग वो भारत विरुद्ध तथा मैती वैष्णवों को भागने के लिए करते थे। मैतियो ने उनका जम कर बिना दिल्ली के समर्थन के मुकाबला किया। सदा से इस इलाके में कांग्रेस और कम्युनिस्ट लोगों की सरकार रही और वो कुकी तथा नगा ईसाईयों के समर्थन में रहे। चूँकि लड़ाई पूर्वोत्तर में ट्राइबल जनजातियों के अपने अस्तित्व की थी तो अलग अलग फ्रंट बनाकर सबने हथियार उठा लिया।
पूरा पूर्वोत्तर ISI के द्वारा एक लड़ाई का मैदान बना दिया गया। जिसके कारण Mizo जनजातियों में सशत्र विद्रोह शुरू हुआ। बिन दिल्ली के समर्थन जनजातियों ने ISI समर्थित कुकी, नगा और म्यांमार से भारत में अनधिकृत रूप से आये चिन जनजातियों से लड़ाई करते रहे। जानकारी के लिए बताते चलें कि कांग्रेस और कम्युनिस्ट ने मिशनरी के साथ मिलकर म्यांमार से आये इन चिन जनजातियों को Manipur के पहाड़ी इलाकों और जंगलों की नागरिकता देकर बसा दिया। ये चिन लोग ISI के पाले कुकी तथा नगा ईसाईयों के समर्थक थे तथा वैष्णव मैतियों से लड़ते थे। पूर्वोत्तर का हाल ख़राब था जिसका पोलिटिकल सलूशन नहीं निकाला गया और एक दिन इन्दिरा गाँधी ने आदिवासी इलाकों में air strike का आर्डर दे दिया जिसका आर्मी तथा वायुसेना ने विरोध किया परन्तु राजेश पायलट तथा सुरेश कलमाड़ी ने एयर स्ट्राइक किया और अपने लोगों की जाने ली। इसके बाद विद्रोह और खूनी तथा सशत्र हो गया।
1971 में पाकिस्तान विभाजन और बांग्ला देश अस्तित्व आने से ISI के एक्शन को झटका लगा परन्तु म्यांमार उसका एक खुला एरिया था। उसने म्यांमार के चिन लोगों का मणिपुर में एंट्री कराया जिसका कांग्रेस तथा उधर म्यांमार के अवैध चिन लोगों ने जंगलों में डेरा बनाया और वहां ओपियम यानि अफीम की खेती शुरू कर दिया। पूर्वोत्तर के राज्य मणिपुर, मिजोरम और नागालैंड दशकों तक कुकियों और चिन लोगों के अफीम की खेती तथा तस्करी का खुला खेल का मैदान बन गया। मयंमार से ISI तथा MI6 ने इस अफीम की तस्करी के साथ हथियारों की तस्करी का एक पूरा इकॉनमी खड़ा कर दिया। जिसके कारण पूर्वोत्तर के इन राज्यों की बड़ा जनसँख्या नशे की भी आदि हो गई। नशे के साथ हथियार उठाकर भारत के विरुद्ध युद्ध फलता फूलता रहा।
2014 के बाद Manipur की परिस्थिति:
मोदी सरकार ने एक्ट ईस्ट पालिसी के अंतर्गत पूर्वोत्तर पर ध्यान देना शुरू किया, NSCN - तथा भारत सरकार के बीच हुए "नागा एकॉर्ड" के बाद हिंसा में कमी आई। भारत की सेना पर आक्रमण बंद हुए। भारत सरकार ने अभूतपूर्व विकास किया जिससे वहां के लोगों को दिल्ली के करीब आने का मौका मिला। धीरे धीरे पूर्वोत्तर से हथियार आंदोलन समाप्त हुए। भारत के प्रति यहाँ के लोगों का दुराव कम हुआ। रणनीति के अंतर्गत पूर्वोत्तर में भाजपा की सरकार आई। वहां से कांग्रेस और कम्युनिस्ट का लगभग समापन हुआ। इसके कारण इन पार्टियों का एक प्रमुख धन का श्रोत जो कि अफीम तथा हथियारों की तस्करी था वो चला गया। इसके कारण इन लोगों के लिए किसी भी तरह पूर्वोत्तर में हिंसा और अशांति फैलाना जरूरी हो गया था। जिसका ये लोग बहुत समय से इंतजार कर रहे थे।
हाल ही Manipur में दो घटन��ए घटीं:
1. Manipur उच्च न्यायालय ने फैसला किया कि अब मैती जनजाति को ST का स्टेटस मिलेगा। इसका परिणाम ये होगा कि नेहरू के बनाए फार्मूला का अंत हो जाएगा जिससे मैती लोग भी 10% के सिकुड़े हुए भूभाग की जगह पर पूरे Manipur में कहीं भी रह, बस और जमीन ले सकेंगे। ये कुकी और नगा को मंजूर नहीं।
2. Manipur के मुख्यमंत्री बिरेन सिंह ने कहा कि सरकार पहचान करके म्यांमार से आए अवैद्य चिन लोगों को बाहर निकलेगी और अफीम की खेती को समाप्त करेगी। इसके कारण तस्करों का गैंग सदमे में आ गया।
इसके बाद ईसाई कुकियों और ईसाई नगाओं ने अपने दिल्ली बैठे आकाओं, कम्युनिस्ट लुटियन मीडिया को जागृत किया। पहले इन लोगों ने अख़बारों और मैगजीन में गलत लेख लिखकर और उलटी जानकारी देकर शेष भारत के लोगों को बरगलाने का काम शुरू किया। उसके बाद दिल्ली से सिग्नल मिलते ही ईसाई कुकियों और ईसाई नगाओं ने मैती वैष्णव लोगों पर हमला बोल दिया। जिसका जवाब मैतियों दुगुना वेग से दिया और इन लोगों को बुरी तरह कुचल दिया जो कि कुकी - नगा के साथ दिल्ली में बैठे इनके आकाओं के लिए भी unexpected था। लात खाने के बाद ये लोग अदातानुसार विक्टम कार्ड खेलकर रोने लगे।
अभी भारत की मीडिया का एक वर्ग जो कम्युनिस्ट तथा कोंग्रस का प्रवक्ता है अब रोएगा क्योंकि पूर्वतर में मिशनरी, अवैध घुसपैठियों और तस्करों के बिल में मणिपुर तथा केंद्र सरकार ने खौलता तेल डाल दिया है।

Big Bash League set to undergo a major overhaul of its structure
This year’s 13th Australian edition of the Big Bash League will see the competition reduced to just 44 games. This is due to Cricket Australia advancing the changes to the structure of the tournament which were scheduled to be implemented as part of the new deal for TV rights.
The men’s BBL will be reverted to a season of 44 games with the league will play 40 away and home games as well as four-match finals played between the top four teams, of which the format is not yet confirmed in BBL-13 and subsequent seasons, a year ahead of CA’s new seven-year broadcast agreement in partnership with Foxtel Group and Seven West The WBBL remains the same as a 59-game tournament that includes 56 league games as well as three finals.
“A shortened BBL will allow us greater flexibility to ensure we can deliver the best possible fixture for clubs and fans while providing a platform that allows players to continue to produce the world-class levels of cricket we’ve seen over the duration of the tournament,” the CA’s General Manager of the Big Bash Leagues Alistair Dobson said.
Dobson has not ruled out the possibility of changes to WBBL structure in the near future.
“Whilst there haven’t been any changes changed in this year’s WBBL schedule, it is vital that we ensure that the event remains at the top in T20 Leagues as the global women’s game is evolving rapidly.

Another alteration in BBL could be the possibility to trade draft picks and the selection will be confirmed through the lottery before the start of the season. The first WBBL draft is scheduled for September.
For a first in history, both BBL as well as WBBL will have a one-week retention period where teams have the first right to renew contracts for up to 12 male and female players respectively, as well as national players already on multi-year contracts. The retention window for this season begins on the 15th of May and closes by lifting the embargo on contracting and the start of the trading interval on May 22.
