The way Lloyd is so protective of his team really shines in 1x04. He is so mad at Charlie for giving Erica bad emotional advice that he calls him a jackass lol

Breakout kings
11. Breakout kings (TV series)
Breakout Kings is an American drama television series. The series premiered on March 6, 2011, and was the most-watched original drama series in A&E's history among adults.
Breakout kings has two seasons, season one with 13 and the following season with 10 episodes, afterwhere A&E canceled the series.
Summary:
The series follows a task force assembled by the U.S. Marshals to capture prison escapees. Several current convicts are offered a chance to aid in this effort, with the promise of a transfer to a minimum-security prison and a reduction in their sentences for every fugitive they catch. However, if any of them tries to escape, they will all be returned to their original prisons and their sentences will be doubled. Throughout the series the team grows closer as they work together to catch fugitives.
Short introduction of the main characters:
Laz Alonso as Charlie Duchamp, a deputy U.S. Marshal and head of the task force. He comes from the Department of Criminal Program Analysis but was assigned a desk job because of a congenital heart defect and is therefore under great pressure to produce results, since any failures in the task force would have led to his being permanently placed on desk work.
Domenick Lombardozzi as Ray Zancanelli, a former deputy U.S. Marshal who lost his job after he was convicted of stealing money from a crime scene to buy his daughter a car. Ray is on parole throughout season one, living at a halfway house, and has been appointed a Special Deputy U.S. Marshal. As such, he is allowed to carry a firearm, unlike the convicts.
Malcolm Goodwin as Shea Daniels, a former gang leader whose criminal enterprises (drug smuggling, weapons trafficking, etc.) covered most of the United States. His experience and "street smarts" allow him to provide a working knowledge of how convicts think and move.
Jimmi Simpson as Dr. Lloyd Lowery, a former child prodigy and a behaviorist with a bachelor's degree and M.D. from Harvard. He provides in-depth psychological evaluations of escaped convicts, which allow him to predict the movements and actions that an escaped convict may undertake before they get away.
Brooke Nevin as Julianne Simms, an analyst who researches and determind the various resources at the disposal of the convicts; such as family, money, and property they may use to aid their escape

also like. i’m getting on my breakout kings bullshit again for a minute--
it just adds so much depth to both lloyd and erica’s character arcs if you make both of them trans?
like lloyd’s got that HUGE complex with his father that never really gets resolved or explored, and his mother is so smothering and overbearing with him... it’s easy and it adds so much to suggest that his issues with his dad have something to do with him being trans (maybe he feels he’s letting his father down, or maybe he feels an immense pressure to live up to some impossible standard for his dad)
and then like. motherhood is already erica’s entire cornerstone. making her trans is such a huge thing bc like!!! of course she does everything for her daughter and tries hard to be a good mom!!!!! she fought and overcame so much just to BE a mom in the first place!!!!!!!!!
HCing both of them as trans also recontextualizes their weird friendship throughout s2 in a really nice way-- when your social circle consists of the same 5 or 6 people and you don’t even get to see THEM all that often, it makes sense that you’d bond with the only other trans person in the group

hey idk if it's dorky or whatever but I just finished breakout kings and I'd love to hear you're trans Lloyd Lowery theory if that's chill??
sure!! this isn’t dorky at all :) it’s been a minute though so i’ve probably forgotten some of the bigger details.....
okay so my main thing was just that like? lloyd clearly doesn’t have much grasp on like. masculinity? his masculinity is very performative (and fairly toxic) which could be a result of him trying to overcompensate for being trans, especially since he lives in a prison setting......
him being trans would also explain why he went to such extreme lengths in prison to keep himself safe from assault or abuse
he has to have the concept of teabagging explained to him and like..... there’s a moment in one episode where i think he gets punched in the crotch by either shea or erica? and REALLY underreacts to it which could suggest that he’s trans and hasn’t had bottom surgery
idk there’s probably more.... like i said i haven’t watched or really thought about bok in at least a couple months and it’s not like there’s a real fandom for it either so. things get lost
