So i had a dream last night which wasn't a nightmare and i even remember most of it! which is super exciting. I barely ever remember dreams that are just simply that so this is a fairly rare occasion for me.

It was weird tho

But it was.. i don't even know what it was so let me ramble about it in the tags a bit

#there was this bioluminescent and also biotoxic creature in a city at night #it was bipedal sort of humanoid shaped but with definitive deep sea features #it had that transparent skin and flesh and body with bioluminescing highlights #which i have no idea how it worked because the entire dream took place in a city enviroment on very much dry land but it's a dream innit #the face was definitely not human more a jumble of fishy features #it was gorgeous btw in a humanoid monster sort of fascinating way #it had this weird feel to it that it's something very old that should not be here now.. some sort of reminiscence of a bygone era #i might try to draw it but i don't know how successful i'd be to be honest #anyway so i was part of a group (don't know what kind exactly) and i never seen any of them i just knew they existed #and there was this innate knowledge that the creature was kind of hunting or more like luring us but we also were hunting it #i don't know if it did something to us before or we just had this unexplainable pull towards it but we definitely were fixated on it #and it was supposed to be a big threat even just by existing and walking around but also would have been bad if it was dead #but i don't know why was it so bad because the “toxicity” of the creature wasn't lethal it just made you stuck in a blissful delirious stat #just by being too close to it and which in most cases would fade when it moved away so the other alternative felt way worse #cuz if it would die something else would have gotten loose which would have been worse than the delirium #it was some sort of unstoppable deadly madness i think.. at least that was what i felt the dream eluded to #and i think we wanted to neutralize it somehow but we had no idea how to avoid disaster that surely would come if it dies #but it would have also revitalize nature on a basically divine scale by giving it's body back to it so there was this dilemma the whole tim #but none of us would have any answers so we just followed this inner draw regardless of the uncertainty #and the entire dream was basically us lureing the creature somewhere but simultaniously it was somehow luring us in as wel #to the same spot #it was a vast moonlit fieald outside of city bounds surrounded with tall dark trees and the sky was littered with stars #and a sharp cliff to one side #so we arrived there and we were standing on opposite sides and look towards each other #but looking into the creatures eyes literally woke me up #there was a noise it made and i know i understood it as words inside the dream but i can't remember what it was after waking just the noise #and that was it #it wasn't long i think tho it felt that way

I'm really intrigued by Uther and Merlin's dynamic because Uther actually sees Merlin as a human being? And it's really weird because Merlin's a peasant and a servant but Uther looks at Merlin and confides in him and asks after his son like Merlin is a person worth listening to. And this is Uther 'Just Get Another Servant' Pendragon. I think after the Poisoned Chalice he realized how much Merlin mattered to Arthur and was like. Fuck I guess so. Plus he was Gaius' nephew and also Morgana liked him so-

#bbc merlin #I think the weirdest thing that really highlights this is the Witchhunter episode tbh #When Aridian demands to search Merlin's chambers and Uther fucking looks at Merlin as if in permission #That's the fucking genocidal king of Camelot and he said 'merlin?' as if Merlin had any say in the matter #Plus he let Merlin plead Gaius' case afterword like ik Arthur advocated for it but still #Also the amount of times he let Merlin off the hook is insane.#Like when Merlin let the goblin loose? He was like don't let it happen again. And that was a fucking magical creature?#He was going to burn Alice for the same reason basically #Anyways feeling insane about the amount of liberties Merlin was allowed to take with the royal family lol #Also also the Sophia episode when he was scolding Merlin and was like if this was wartime you'd be flogged #And Merlin replies 'but since it isn't you'll let it go just this once?' #I sent so long starting at pokemon style clothes #and I dont think i quite understand it but I tried lolll #also I didnt realize how BIG pokemon are??#like the pokemon are bigger than me in height!??#might draw them later but tired rn #I believe that akaashi is an intern and extremely sleep deprived #akiteru totally brags about tsukki even though hes like.. in a different region??#tenmas shoes are for sure a gift from akiteru so they can match some what haha #(I chose the Black and gold highlights based off of akaashi's fukurodani background and the white and blue since.. There's so many things about G3 that I'm grateful for: explicitly nb frankie, afrolatina clawdeen, body diversity in the dolls, the return to creative, character & story focused fashions...but I just cannot reconcile all that w/ the colorism & in general the way clawdeen has been marketed. They significantly lightened her skin & deemphasized her black-coded personality traits (stereotypical/problematic as those were) only once it's decided she'll be the new face of the brand. But then turn around & promote draculaura & frankie more than her in the actual doll line?? I just can't look past that.

I'm happy for the folks the new gen is spotlighting. I'm excited kids will get to watch a main character in a tv show be indisputably, self-assuredly nonbinary. I'm happy for the fans who are able to still enjoy the better parts of the reboot despite it's problems. & by no means do I believe the og series was perfect, or that g3 has somehow "ruined" it. But the antiblackness in the way clawdeen's been handled just sours the whole thing for me.

I decided months ago I won't be watching the movie or engaging w/ reviews of it. & as much as I like most of the new dolls, I don't think I'll be buying any. I hope the new cartoon is fun, but I doubt I'll be watching that either. I don't want g3 to fail, but I just can't bring myself to support it, personally. & that's really disappointing. I wish I could be excited w/ the rest of the fandom.

#monster high #this & rainbow high have just really highlighted how deeply antiblack & yet appropriative the fashion doll industry is #I'm almost 30 & it's only barely easier to find dolls that really truly look like me & the ppl i grew up around now than when i was a child #the 1st time i saw a fashion doll w/ black 4c hair AND dark skin AND dark brown eyes in a store was LAST MONTH #& the outfit sucked #but I still bought it bc that was THE 1ST TIME IN 28 YEARS i found a mainstream doll that i felt represented me w/o compromise #& I'm not even darkskin I'm right in that range of brown that spared me comment in either direction #but even finding dolls w/ my own complexion that don't have loose textured light colored hair & light eyes is rare #long post #on mobile so no read more sorry

okay scrolling through ur bkg tag and saw ur tags on drummer bkg post!! (which love btw!! the whole jealousy song is so him dhdbsjsna like hes such a wet soggy cat i need him) ANYWAY and u saw japanese breakfast and u how u thought the lead singer and guitarist were dating but they’re actually married 😭😭😭😭 have you read crying in h mart? it’s about her mother dying of cancer and their relationship but she also writes about her and her husband getting together and oh my god their relationship is so beautiful and they love each other so much. when i saw them in concert anytime they looked at each other id tear up. yes i am crazy! anyway!! i was also high as hell at that concert too!! they put on an excellent show. i got to see them another time when they opened up for paramore too which was very cool

i've actually had a copy of crying in h-mart for YEARS except i've only ever managed to get about three chapters in, i think because when i first started it, i ended up getting a little swamped with school...

but it's still on my shelf WAITING FOR ME and this makes me want to pick it up again!! i know my friend finished it last month and put it on her rec list (also my mom loves it weirdly??), so i'll def put it back in my current pile of to-reads!! (which is huge rn because i have so many books i wanna donate to the classroom i'm working in, but actually want to finish first asdfajdkaj).

anyway, YES, I was BLOWN away by their performance!! which is always an experience bc i remember i wasn't super familiar with their music beforehand and they ended up being in my 10 ten artists or something the year after. i even managed to get the setlist!! which i gave to my friend bc she was the one who invited me<3

you can tell the whole band just has amazing chemistry with one another, and it shows not just through the music put in their stage presence, as well, which is not an average feat. you're so lucky you got to see them twice AND PARAMORE!! did you see the recent video where something went wrong on stage and hayley sang "someone is getting fired??"

LOL ANYWAY, thanking for the lovely ask and rec to pick CIHM back up!!

roommates have officially caused me to go rogue and now I'm going Mean Guy Mode

#there was a small amount of loose stuff right at the bottom of our big red bin #they took a photo and were like Uhhh make sure to use bags #i say yeah look a small amount is fine it's no big deal #they screenshot and highlight some sort of council thing being like all in bags!!#so i was like it's going to be fine we don't need to be taking photos of bins like some sort of methhead #well that did not please them

I think I found my first quest breaking bug of the game…. I spoke to Halsin to lift the curse and he said we should meet near the inn for the quest but he won’t leave camp??? And his dialogue options are the same they were before we started the quest??? But the dude is dead and I can’t talk to him again, the creepy ghost child won’t talk to be again because I’ve already beaten him at hide and seek and the moonlantern just disappeared from our inventory to be replaced with 6 broken ones…. Am I screwed????
