Creating and installing a thoughtful low water garden that is sustainable is a process! Removing old sod and cleaning the soil is the most important part of creating a the low maintenance garden. Drip irrigation that uses less water allows the garden to flourish without the guilt of wasting or over watering. Plant selection that is low water friendly and still give you the feeling of a lush garden is what we design. This award winning low water was designed with LB Water Department’s requirements and allowed the client to receive a fair amount of $$ back with the rebate program. ✨I swear I’m not dead✨

I promise. 🤞🏼 After a long hiatus, I will be back into the saddle. It was a rough past year and a half. Between covid, lockdowns, wildfires, snowstorms, windstorms, flooding, my garden not producing, my houseplants struggling, and being a essential worker, I was drained. I needed the break. It seemed Washington state was experiencing any and every crisis imaginable. 2020 till the end of 2021 was a blur.

In the time of covid chaos, I picked up a new hobby. Philately. I found my peace in collecting flower and mushroom stamps. It helped me push through the winter months when the garden and plants were not in growth mode.

I will be back up and into the content come spring! I have lots a exciting things planned out for the garden and the houseplant table this year! Thanks for all your continued support despite me dropping off the face of the earth for over a year!

Saguaro Cactus Seedlings

A brief update on how my saguaro cacti are progressing. The answer is, visibly changed but not much growth. These little guys take a hefty time investment to grow. After a year, they are starting to lose some of their baby leaves and acquire a more recognizable cactus form. Still about the size of a pencil eraser tip.
