Hi! I have two rescue cats that I adopted at different times. For the most part they tolerate each other well, but aren’t particularly friendly. They have space to be apart so it only leads to the very rare disagreement. Under these circumstances, should I try to reintroduce/re-socialize them to attempt to make them more friendly? It may not work, and things aren’t tense in general, so I’m wondering if it’s worth the extra effort. Thank you!

Honestly, I’d say it’s really up to you if you want to put the work in for the chance of no change. I don’t think it would make things worse, at any rate. But it sounds like things are pretty manageable as they are, so if you’re not up for the work or don’t think it’ll make enough of a difference, it doesn’t sound like it’d be detrimental to the cats to leave things be, either.

(Coward anon) yknow I had a good think about it and I think the best nasty example I have would be the first chapter of Hurts So Good by magebird, which is an Overwatch fic.

It’s not about the sex being described, it’s about how the dynamic between participants is expressed through the description. This is a nasty kinky sex scene and the physical dominance of one character over the other is inherent in every action.

Honestly half the stuff that I find sexiest isn’t even about sex, it’s about the chemistry between the characters. I don’t read a lot of fluffy romantic sex in fic, it’s mostly kinky messy fucking, so it’s all about how the Dom/sub or sadist/masochist dynamic between characters is established.

I really, really agree with you on "half the stuff that I find sexiest isn't even about sex, it's about the chemistry between the characters." for me, the parts in fics that I linger over, that give me a swooping sensation in my stomach, usually happen WAY before any actual sex scenes and are more about the yearning, or the almost moments, you know? it's all about the chemistry sparking between characters and flickering with the potential of it all.

it was a combination of an old one (magestorrow) and jaybird, which was a nod to jason todd. i wanted to do magebird but it was already taken. >>

i wanted to have a pride icon and had a wonderful drawing my friend @soundofmind drew of one of my ocs on my phone. said oc is coincidentally a criminal, so be gay do crimes.

Back home after spending almost two weeks up with my family for the holidays (I worked remotely a few days and had stashed PTO) and it was genuinely awesome. Highlights included:

Climbing 3 mountains, including my hardest summit to date

Amazing food and cooking with the fam

DMing a D&D oneshot for my mom and @magebird + their mom

Getting stoned with my dad and listening to the entirety of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon

Making new hiking adventure buddies and getting invited into a group chat to plan more hikes!

Soooo many dog cuddles next to the fire

Kinda bummed to be back to the usual grind now, but I did get sent home with leftovers. <3
