So as stated in one of the tags of something I rb'd I am reworking my ship with Kylo~! It has THREE versions. (Sorry but not sorry, I have a lot of ideas and feel like it would be best to spread em out.)

In all of these versions, somethings stay the same. Kaden will always be force-sensitive and will always have a purple lightsaber. <3

The first being the fics that are already out, where Kylo defects from the first order because of me and everyone in their mother are hunting us both down.

The second being the timeline where nothing goes wrong timeline, it's a more domestic universe for us, Luke didn't have a melt down, Kylo didn't fall victim to Snokes promises, Han and Leia were good parents and nobody dies! T_T (I just want to see this family happy)

ALTERNATIVELY THOUGH the third verse being where the writers didn't fuck up my boy and he just goes darker and darker, he doesn't give two fucks about anything or anyone (I'm the exception cliche here lol)

This universe Kylo and I keep our relationship a secret for a good majority of time because he doesn't want to make it seem like he is playing favourites but eventually he's just like "hm, no actually I am paying favourites and if you got a problem I dare you to voice it." type of thing. (Kylo is a dick timeline lmfao) <- Letting ya'll know this will probably be my favourite timeline because I can do a lot with it.

Also this is a branching path version of the first- where instead of Kaden convincing him to leave and be free it's reversed, Kylo manages to sway Kaden into joining him. lkjlkjsdf

here's the thing about shadow: his role, as the protector/savior of the world, is already being utilized. there's someone else filling his role. sonic.

shadow fulfilling his goal of protecting the world would have been fine as a one off thing. shadow being the protector and dying valiantly thus fulfilled what gerald and maria originally intended for him. he kept his promise to maria, even at the ultimate cost.

but by bringing him back from the dead, sega brought about a very big question- what do we do with him now? the role he wants is already being filled. there's not really a need for him. so what's left for him?

i don't think sega honestly has a concrete answer. the route they seem to take is that shadow's trying to let go of his past but also keep maria's promise. but i think, for both fans and sega, that they put far too much emphasis on maria's promise. i don't think it's a satisfying arc for shadow to save the world just because he feels he has to, just because he promised he would, just because he was intended to do so. shadow 05 was all about a deep exploration into morality and identity. what is shadow, now that maria and gerald are no longer in his life? what is shadow, now that someone is already fulfilling the role of the hero?

personally, if i had been in charge, i would have put him on team chaotix. having shadow align with g.u.n. is frankly a bad move- the very same branch of government that literally killed shadow's family and is filled to the brim with corruption? i don't see shadow joining, not willingly. and i definitely don't see him joining as an alternative to being a hero. the commander and him still have a lot of unresolved conflict and there's the fact that g.u.n. KILLED maria and EXECUTED gerald.

i think him being a part of team chaotix would be a good compromise. shadow's allowed to let go of his past, to no longer live up to the expectations of others. he's not just fulfilling a role, he's not just doing what he was always originally intended to do- he's carving out his own path and his own identity but he's still able to keep maria's promise, just on a smaller scale. he helps the chaotix with smaller level cases, helps keep people smiling and happy, becomes a hero to the little people.

the chaotix could definitely help him loosen up and learn to create his own identity without worrying about other people's perception. shadow fufills his promise without compromising the idea of giving him a life separate to the one gerald and gun intended for him. he's not a weapon or a cure or a saviour or whatever. he can just be shadow.

#there is something quite lovely to me in the idea of weapon of revenge shadow the hedgehog #ends up being some guy that helps old ladies cross the street or gets cats out of trees #its about the choice of living a peaceful life after seeing so much hate and tragedy #its about being able to choose mundanity #its not about surviving or fighting or whatever #its about thriving #sega official speaks #i don't know #like im fond of the idea that shadow wants to keep his promise but i always HATE how much like..... spotlight/focus is on that aspect #i think its counterintuitive to have him only be a hero because of maria #i honestly don't think thats particualry canon #or at least wasn't the direction they were going with him until they jsut gutted his character into edgy sonic rival #in my mind he'd more of a bonus back up character #like he's plan b if something goes wrong with sonic #but he wouldn't be a part of the main cast #also i don't necessarily mind team dark as a family but i just don't really think they would be able to #and i stress #HEALTHILY give shadow a sense of identity while fufilling maria's promise #omega can teach shadow how to live beyond what his creators wanted from him #and rouge can teach him the value of selfishness #the value of your own life #but ultimately i don't think they would give him the color he's looking for #the two of them live VERY exciting lives too #and i think it would be nice for shadow to end up being a bit more mundane. still here to help but in his own way. #after years of thinking youre just a weapon or you just need to dish out revenge #years of straggling and uncertainty. i think he deserves a bit of peace. like emerl/gemerl did. #etc etc etc etc also i think it would be funny for shadow and charmy to be on the same team. thank you for your time

clu rinzler dynamic hcs that nobody asked for b/c im crazy

I headcanon that Rinzler's feelings about Clu are Complicated. He thinks of his position as Clu’ right hand man as the greatest honor anyone could possibly have. Rinzler was told it’s a chance to right his past wrongs that he committed before Clu ‘fixed him’ by serving him unquestioningly and in return Rinzler genuinely adores Clu. Would do anything he asked including throw himself to his death in a heartbeat if Clu asked for a type of admiration. He is constantly striving to make Clu happy no matter the personal cost or the cost to others even if his efforts go unacknowledged most of the time knowing he made Clu’ life that much easier is enough for him.

Despite the fact that Rinzler tries his damndest to complete every assignment, sometimes he falls short and the consequences of his failure are dire, which is where the more complicated feelings Rinzler has come from. Because Clu is the only program in the history of the grid who’s able to make Rinzler genuinely afraid. Not wary, not cautious, but afraid. It’s part of what drives him to put his all into every task he’s given, not only to please Clu, but because he is terrified of the consequences of falling short of his expectations. On some level, buried deep deep down in the very depths of Rinzler’s code beneath all the changes, Rinzler hates Clu because he knows that how he’s treated is wrong, but he doesn’t understand why. It’s something intrinsic to him that he’s purposefully kept hidden and ignored in every way he can.

On the Clu side of things despite him always going on and on about how he made Rinzler ‘perfect’ and ‘his champion’ he still sees Rinzler as Tron regardless. No matter what Rinzler does or how hard he tries to please Clu he’ll never be able to make up for his past actions in Clu’s mind which is why he lashes out so harshly at him, because he knows that despite all of his attempts at reprogramming him, parts of Tron still live on in Rinzler. He knows that despite having Rinzler’s complete unconditional loyalty underneath it all the hate from Tron’ final moments is still there. Despite placing himself at the center of Rinzler’s world, Tron will never care for him like he cared for Kevin Flynn. Despite having won Flynn’s favorite toy soldier in their feud and repurposing him to be his attack dog, removing any recollection he had of Flynn, the dynamic isn’t the same and never will be because Rinzler isn’t Tron, not really, and Clu isn’t Flynn and that relationship will never be recreated

#Double Crossbones #Donald O'Connor #I don't know how to make gifs so making these was v. time consuming but I persevered bc I have to talk about this #a) this movie is amazing and has the most movie of movie pirates ever committed to celluloid #(except that they don't have West Country accents- that's the only lack- they throw in some old timey lingo but it's real weaksauce) #anyway it is a action adventure musical comedy with slapstick tapdancing and swordfighting #the plot is ludicrous and everything is very silly except the corrupt official bad guy who is kinda legit threatening #our hapless unlikely golden hearted-hero accidentally becomes a pirate lord through a series of shenanigans #eventually he enjoys it but he's gotta rescue his girlfriend from the evil governor #he fucks it up and she ends up rescuing him instead and then there's a happy ending and even more shenanigans #the jokes are cheeseball the costumes are over the top and all the pirates are hamming it up #the swordfights involve the most EGREGIOUS flynning and dance-fighting #there is straight up cartoon logic involved #so in conclusion: FLAWLESS. I know this is because I have no brain chemicals but

So there’s now “sweet and wholesome” romances, which promise no sex (and I assume that there’s no actual violence and probably no gambling either), which is a venn diagram which “christian romance,” so there are now two entire categories of romance that will eliminate all sex scenes and violence and gambling and probably something else I have forgotten about.

But there isn’t a SINGLE category of genre romance that will eliminate sweet OR Christian romance. They still creep in on the regular in search algorithms of category romance.

That’s not even getting my issue with the romances with no sex being called “sweet and wholesome.” 

#you are allowed to not want to read romance with sex in it #I even get why it's not a full on overlap with christian romance #but I DON'T want to read sweet or clean or wholesome or moral or uplifting or inspirational or upright romance #and I don't want them clogging up my search results #I get mad ON THE REGULAR that there's so many romances that the main problem would be solved if they would just commit murder #just kill someone who usually isn't even liked and wouldn't be missed and the heroes are rich and white and nobody would even care #and they spend 275 pages NOT simply murdering someone when it's not very efficient #I guess for clarity I read a lot of Regency/Georgian historicals #and while I think murder would solve the central issue in a lot of mediocre contemporaries #I get that it might be a harder sell to Murder Someone in a contemporary romance #stop b think of the children

Deadpool just transcends the multiverse he’s like the same guy in everything and has memories of everything ( at least in my own headcanon )

So one day he just appears in Aaron Allan’s universe and ( this part of Deadpool is kinda underrated and not talked about enough ) just kind of parents the Spider Children. Aaron thinks he’s kinda funny but as a romance and sex repulsed aroace, Aaron does not like how much he flirts with the villains. Also he kills people normally but since he came on a mission from Peter he’s not. Cindy hates his guts and thinks he’s SO UNFUNNY. She wants to rip him to pieces. And lastly Miles is so weirded out and also makes fun of SMAA!Peter for his variant liking this dude.

Deadpool also finds it wild that SMAA!Daredevil is beefing with Aaron Allan Spider-Man and thinks it’s so funny so he alters his costume to match the two of them and they begrudgingly team up.
