WAND WOODS, BRIEFLY
hello friends! today i thought i could bring you something that some might find a bit useful, since many in the hogwarts legacy fandom may be interested in defining the wandlore for either their original characters, or existing characters, but can't be bothered to read through all the wand woods, either because it would take too damn long, or you're for one reason or another not fond of using the Pottermore website
so here it is, from an (embarrassingly) long-time HP fan, all wand woods summarized, concisely, for you to easily reference whenever you like :)

Brilliant Mind
WC: 1,2K
Pairing: Rain/Swiss
Tags: Implied autistic Rain, non-binary they/them Rain, anal sex
Rain goes on a ramble about basses while Swiss fucks them. That's the plot.
Read under the cut or on AO3.
“Where’s your head at?” Swiss asked, seeing the absent look in Rain’s eyes, a different one than the one he knows means the water ghoul is far gone in pleasure. They blink at Swiss’ words, shaking themself out of it.
“Just thinking ‘bout something,” they shrugged, way too casual for being impaled on the multi ghoul’s cock.
“About what, Rainbow?” Swiss asked, grinning and resuming his thrusts. That was his mistake.
“I talked with my tech about- ah, basses for the next tour earlier,” Rain started, only a quiet moan interrupting their words for a second.
“You are thinking about basses while I’m fucking you?” the multi ghoul asked, a bit in disbelief, but also with a nauseating amount of affection for his extremely adorable mate.
“Well, yeah,” Rain shrugged, again, “I won’t use the same ones I used now, you know, the white Jazz, black Jazz and black and white Jaguar.”
Swiss just stared down at his partner with wide eyes, absolutely not believing that Rain will go on a rant about basses with a cock up their ass. They didn’t tell him to stop, though, and he did love hearing them talk, so the multi ghoul continued to slowly thrust into them.
“Leaving Jazz, I think, I don't like Precision too much and Jaguar is just… meh. About the colours, I think I’ll stay with the black Jazz for the songs we’ve got in drop C, you know, because it’s fine and it’s a signature by now. But for the rest, I don’t know, the white one was a good balance, because Aether has black Fantomen and Dew black and white. But now Dew will have a whole white Stratocaster, so maybe if I had a black and white bass it would be better? What do you think?”
“I- uh, I think so too, every guitar slash bass in different colours, yeah,” Swiss breathed, not expecting Rain would ask him about anything. “By the way, can we switch positions, wanna ride me, Rainbow?”
“Sure,” the water ghoul agreed, again, way too casually considering the circumstances, and Swiss got to move them. When Rain was settled on the top, they started moving.
And talking.
“I’m wondering about the fretboards too, what would look the best. Maple is great, but I feel like it’s too light, but there’s something with rosewood that makes me hate it, so I think I’d want ebony. But I don’t know if ebony would fit the black ad white bass, so maybe maple after all? But not the yellowish lacquered one, the softer one. I’ll probably have to try to put all the options together and choose, you know?”
“Y- yeah,” Swiss managed out, barely holding himself together at the display of Rain riding his cock in earnest while still rambling. It was hot, actually, their brain amazed the multi ghoul.
“I was thinking if still tucking my picks behind the pickguard is a good idea, or if taping them to the side like Dew does isn’t better, but that’ll work out later, I guess.” Rain threw their head back then, finally showing some signs of being affected by the cock in their ass. The water ghoul leaned back on their hands, switching their bouncing to a precise grind. “There’s also the strings, I was testing out some flat wounds and half round wounds the last few weeks, and I do like the half ones, the flat’s are too, hm, slippery, but I think I should use the same type of strings they did for the recording, right? So it sounds the same. But they also used Precision, and I won’t do that, so will the strings make such an awful difference if it's a different bass? I mean, the pickups are the same, so the bass itself doesn't make that much difference, plus I can switch the necks, I just don't like the Precision’s body, or more like the pickguard shape, so I still can get really close with the sound.”
Swiss was out of his mind, the drag of Rain’s walls over his cock maddening, his mate’s brain even more. He was so close he was sure if they said one more smart word he totally didn’t understand he’d burst.
“Maybe a higher gauge of the half round wound strings would make up for the lower gauge or fully round wound? I use 45’s to 100’s now, but I could go up to 50’s or even 55’s. I’ll have to test it, do you think Dew would help me? I like my tech but he just doesn’t keep up with what I’m saying.”
“Yeah, I- I wonder why, Rainbow. You’re so smart, it’s so hot, fuck,” Swiss moaned, squeezing his eyes shut.
“But do you think Dew would help me?” Rain asked, seemingly oblivious to the delicious agony their mate was currently enduring.
“S- sure, he would.”
“Great, I’ll ask him later,” they leaned forward again then, bracing their arms on Swiss’ chest, returning to urgent bounces, making the multi ghoul nearly pass out.
“Hngh,” was all he could muster.
“You close?” Rain asked, so casually it hurt. Swiss nodded, whining. Loud.
“P- please, Rainbow,” he pleaded, shaky hands holding onto the water ghoul’s hips.
“What do you need, love?”
“Talk,” he moaned, “a- and move, l- like that.”
Rain giggled, but obliged, “I could use thicker picks too, they’d give me a rougher sound, more concrete. Combining all that, mixing the elements, I could get so many different tones, there’s just so many possibilities. Add effect pedals to it, and they’re basically unlimited. If I could play fingerstyle, too, that’d make a difference. Maybe I could convince Papa to let me play the new songs like that, or some of the softer basslines of the older ones, like Absolution or Deus. It depends on what stays on the setlist too, but you know how good I am with my fingers.”
Oh, and that made Swiss break. He moaned, long and high pitched, whole body spasming as he came, filling Rain with his cum.
He did know, very well, how good they were with their fingers, thank you very much.
The water ghoul finally let themself go too, though Swiss doubted they did hold themself back from anything, as their mouth dropped in a silent moan, clenching on Swiss’ cock and painting his belly white. They panted, arms giving out as they plopped down onto the multi ghoul’s chest, nuzzling their face into the crook of his neck.
“Your brain is so hot, Rainbow,” Swiss breathed, slowly coming back into his own body. Rain only purred in response, curling themself tighter around their mate, not caring about the mess.
They both did get up, though, to clean up, getting back to cuddle after. Rain fell asleep before Swiss even fully settled. He took out his phone and was met with a message from Mountain, cringing at it.
M: Had fun?
S: I wasn’t that loud, come on.
M: You absolutely were. Plus we share a wall, so… What did Rain do to you this time?
S: They started rambling about basses [*]
M: Ha, they didn’t stop, tho, did they?
S: Nope, and it was fucking hot.
M: Be grateful they chose basses and not weird deep sea tentacle creatures.
S: U speaking from experience?
M: Yes. Don’t ask more questions.
That’s where their conversation cut off, leaving Swiss grinning, absolutely planning how to find out about Mountain’s own experience. For now, though, he dropped the phone and curled tighter around Rain, kissing their forehead. He’d kiss their brilliant mind too, if he could.

I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY BUT I JUST GOT THE COOLEST GIFT EVER????
@ouroboros-hideout and @blackrevell DESIGNED A KNIFE FOR MY WIOSNA I LITERALLY CAN'T I CAN'T I CAN'T IT'S REAL LIKE WHAT THE FUCK????? INSANE
We had this brainrot going on that in one AU Wiosna and Kurt get married and Aon (@ouroboros-hideout OC) would gift Wiosna a knife as a wedding gift AND BORO DECIDED TO MAKE IT REAL?! So these are pictures of Shooting Star the most beautiful knife I have ever seen (one day I will be rich and commission it irl out of metal) that was dedicated to Wiosna by Aon 😭💜 I can't even express how impressed I am by the amount of thoughtfulness put into this design! Boro even wrote a note "from Aon" that explains it (I will drop it below!) and Rev even paid attention to such a small detail like me saying that purple is Wiosna's color 💜 AND THE LITTLE LYNX LOGO THAT IS AON'S ANIMAL!!! Here's Aon describing it:
„It´s name is Shooting Star. I chose this name partly because of your heritage and your family's connection to the stars. That's the obvious side. But shooting stars are very ambiguous for me. On the one hand, there is the scientific aspect. A meteor that first stands so high in the sky and then falls down and burns up in the atmosphere. I admit that has a somewhat negative connotation. But we're all shaped by our past, aren't we? On the other hand, there is something magical about them. For centuries, people have stared up at the sky to catch a glimpse of them, hoping they would grant a wish. Basically, something that triggers longing, that is desirable and beautiful. Two sides. Black and white. That's why I split the handle of the knife. One side in dark ebony, a very expensive wood, luxurious, but also durable and resistant, and the other in light maple wood. The maple tree is a symbol of love, passion, and eternal commitment in a relationship. Since this is a wedding gift, I thought it would be a nice touch. The shape is also very dynamic, like a racing celestial object, so not really traditional yakut. The sheath is made from white synth-leather. It's very elegant, so it goes well with your closet. You can wear the black or white side of the handle up, depending on your outfit, so it might even be a nice accessory for the snob-parties. I really wanted to test my limits and do something I've never done before, something unique for you and that special day in your life. I hope I have succeeded.“ ABSOLUTELY INSANE???????????????????

breaking and entering (idk if i even need to like tag that or whagever but yeah! just in case)
Ugh.
She hated work.
Every day, it was the same: beat some heroes, sneer at them. Sometimes she even added some flirtatious banter, but it never went anywhere. Not that she wanted it to.
It was so dull.
The villain grabbed the left side of her jaw, tilting her head the opposite way, forcing it to pop under the pressure.
She wasn’t a shallow person. Sure, the current batch of sprightly vigilantes weren’t the sweetest eye-candy, but their personalities were sour too. After winning fights, they wouldn’t rub it in her face. After losing, they wouldn’t crawl on the ground in shame. They would fight, and when it was over, they’d walk back to whatever hole they crawled out of.
It was so obnoxious.
The street was dark, besides the occasional streetlight leaving reflections on the ebony road below. ATM machines appeared in front of closed coffee shops and cookie cutter oak trees dotted the sidewalk. The air had a bit of a bite to it, and certainly Villains nose was bright red.
How embarrassing.
Luckily, there was no one around to see it.
She had started at her latest fight, which she had gotten out of with no injuries (save for a bloody nose), and ten minutes later she was at her apartment, nodding at the doorman and making her way to the elevator. The floor was lined with velvety green carpeting, which wouldn’t be tacky if the walls weren’t. They were covered in portraits of women from the 20s, all made of plastic.
How Villain ended up living there, she’ll never know.
She walked into the elevator, acknowledging the operator with a nod and a “4, please”. The button dinged and she heard a whirring noise as she was taken to the fourth floor.
The elevator dinged as the doors released and Villain walked out. She followed the trail of ugly fluorescent lights until she found the door labeled 204, turned her key until the lock clicked, and swung open the door.
That’s weird. I don’t remember leaving the lights on.
More than weird, actually. Nothing was a coincidence when you’re the most well known villain in the state.
She walked into the foyer, her hand quietly powering up at her side. Her feet were like mice, completely silent.
Just then, from behind her, her office chair spun around.
“Hey honeybun. Your wallpaper is ugly as fuck.”
Villain whipped around, firing a laser right next to Hero’s head.
“GAHH!!”
Her shocked expression calmed a bit when she saw it was hero.
“Hey, watch it! At least take me out to dinner first.”
Thoughts fired through Villains head so quickly, one could actually see the gears turning.
Suddenly, she jolted and ran to her bedroom. “MY PLANS!”
“For the freeze ray? Read ‘em. You’re missing a conductor in the second valve on the right.”
Villain stopped. “Oh. What about my-“
“Love potion? Add less rosemary and a little more cinnamon. Stir it clockwise.”
“Well-“
“I also read about the llama pants. I’m a little concerned about your thought process, but i would maybe say don’t use maple syrup.”
Villain stood like a deer in the headlights.
"So-"
"Why am I here-," Hero interrupted, "Good question. Basically-"
Villain sighed. "Save it, Hero. Go find another Villain to mess with. Granted, they wont tolerate you for as long as I have, but maybe that's a good thing."
Hero jokingly frowned. "Heyyy!! Not nice. And I'm here for an important reason, if you'll let me speak."
"Hero, I can promise you, I don't care. Now leave." Villain furrowed her brow, concentrating, as her irises turned purple.
Hero noticed. "Hey, wait, no! Stop, stop, stop, you'll really want to hear this I promise!"
A purple energy surrounded their body as they slowly floated above where they were sitting and towards the door.
"Sorry Hero. I've missed fighting you, I guess. Let's do this again sometime. Toodles!" Hero's body was halfway out the door when they started holding onto the frame, grimacing as they used all their strength to hold on.
"You're starting to really bug me." Villain stared at Hero's fingers, concentrating, moving each one off the doorframe, one by one, until they only had one hand holding on.
"Villain!! Its about Sidekick!"
Immediately, the purple color faded from Hero's body and they dropped to the floor with a groan. "My back..."
Villain, however, wasn't amused. Her face fell, and her eyes widened in shock.
"Sidekick...?"

Besides having meltdowns and crying, I have been mildly productive. I am going to stain the neck of my 8-string when I get it from that awful 5-piece maple walnut racing stripe shit, to a more sleek ebony/black look, more like the M8M but without it being a neck-through.
I didn't wanna just go at a brand new guitar neck with no experience with stains or dyes though, so I have been testing out a few different techniques on a blank ibanez copy neck I got off eBay. It's a maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, so it's pretty close to the guitar I'm getting.
Of the ones I have tried so far (I tried India ink just for fun too, first stain from the left, and it was clearly terrible so I'm gonna sand it off and try another stain), you can see a clear winner 🤭
Tumblr media
Just so you can see what I mean with my intended results, here's the guitar I'm getting, and then how I want the back of the neck to actually look
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just love doing stuff with my hands, and guitars are something I just understand, on like a fundamental level I guess. I've been fixing my own since I was 12 cause I never had the money to pay anyone (because I was 12), swapping out pickups, changing hardware, fret-leveling/polishing/crowning, fixing the intonation etc. And it all just makes sense to me, and I like that

(Im so sorry this is a long one but my imagine took this and ran :)) )
Imagine, Maple is playing with a few other young children their age in the forest of Liyue. They’re running around and playing hide n seek, climbing up trees and hiding in bushes. Maple is smart, they knew how to hide thanks to Kazhua’s teachings during battle. They hide far too well and giggles silently as they pass by their hiding spot calling their name and looking.
However, Maple soon realizes their hiding spot was too god as just a couple minutes turns into twenty. Bored, they crawl out and search to find their friends calling their names worriedly. Soon the suns starting to set and Lil’ Maple realizes their more lost than before. They’re too panicked to remember Kaz’s teachings of remain calm and find your tracks or at least a river. Instead they start wailing hoping for their big brother to find them somehow before anything else can! She hears the cooing noise of a bird and tearily looks up at the branch to find an odd ebony and teal bird…
Meanwhile, Kazuha was idly chatting with Beidou and Ningguang, a gnawing feeling in his gut that something was wrong. To his surprise the group of children Kaz knew Maple was playing with, runs up frantically calling for him. One of them frantically explains that they went missing in the Liyue forest.
Instantly, Kaz is running as fast as he can to the forest to find them. Just as he arrives to the edge of the forest, billowing with fog from the humid, night setting in, he spots a figure in the distance. He keeps his hand tightly gripped on the handle of his sword preparing for anything, until he recognizes the big golden eyes anywhere. And the bundle in his arms is Lil’ Maple.
Kaz nearly had tears in his eyes at the sight of his little sibling found, and by Xiao of anyone! He rushes over and the moment Maple spots their older brother they squirm until Xiao lets them go to run to Kaz. He drops down to his knees to hug his one and only baby sibling, too relieved they’d been found to scold them. Kaz silently nods at Xiao and he returns the gesture before disappearing.
The next day, Xiao came back to the inn and finds a plate of Almond Tofu and a barely legible letter thanking him with adorable stick figures of him and Lil’ Maple below -🌻
another episode of: just a day in maple's adventurous and totally safe life!
THAT'S SO FUCKING CUTE THO AAAHHHHH ALSO XIAO IN HIS ADEPTI FORM 🥺🥺🥺🥺🤲🤲🤲
maple is not allowed to play hide and seek anymore because they're too good that they'd get lost trying to find the best hiding place :'>
xiao flying around in his adepti form and finding maple is like... a mama bird with a crying baby bird 🥺 AND HES CRADLING MAPLE IN HIS ARMS? HHNHNHNH I AM SCREAMING CRYING SHAKING THROWING UP AAAAAHHHHH
kazuha guiding maple in writing a thank you letter for xiao and carrying them up the balcony :'> i love this match

For the DnD writing thing
@chaosunit0010, it's a day erly I know, but for the Forgotten God one. I can't draw, so here a short story!
Hope you all like it! If you do, I have other writing stuff on my blog! Have a love-ely day~!
Forgotten Star
I was sat in the back of an erratic little carriage that jumped and jerked as it was pulled up a rough little highland road that led to my friends estate. He was not overtly fond of carriages, and even less so of automobiles, so he left his roads rough, as he usually either walked them himself or rode where he wanted to.
Not that he was home enough that it would ever have been much of a concern to him. He spent far too much time on safari or adventuring out wherever and whenever he could. The carts movement steadied as we reached the end of the road and I peered out of the window to look at his estate, the beautiful sight never boring me.
It was a large grey stone manor, stately and old fashioned in its shape. Yet its roof was bowled out and pointed in various points, apparently called shikhara, more akin to a great eastern palace. The bricks were engraved with great tribal patterns making it look like a grant temple from the Dark country. Finally it’s windows and doors were grand affairs, the formers made of grand slabs of eastern crystal thinned and polished then painted in beautiful patterns: the latter carved from ebony wood with deep and beautiful patterns etched deep in their faces. All this surrounded by the dense embrace of a forest of pines, firs and sequoia trees that seemed to shield it from the view of the world.
I stepped out from the carriage down onto the drive, giving a nod to my driver along with a tip. He returned the nod then turned the carriage back and began to depart back down the rocky road. I walked up to the beautifully carved door, brushing my hands slightly over the smooth patterns on it’s face before snapping together the brass knocker on them.
The door was pulled open after a few seconds by a pale looking Tiefling, he wore a tribal mask from the Dark country, covering his whole face while he wore a pale bone coloured suit. He bowed to me, then pulled the door further ajar and stood aside to let me in.
Master East is expecting you, if you’ll wait here in the hall I shall go get him.” He said, speaking with a slight bobbing accent, his voice slightly muffled from behind his mask.
“Of course,” I replied, removing my hat as I stepped in, looking about the lobby as he walked off, his tail twitching slightly behind him as he walked off. The lobby was tall, reaching up two stories, the main house steeple at it’s top, which carried the grand chandelier that hung down into it, illuminating the various tapestries, stuffed heads and antiques around the room pinned to the grand wood walls or on plinths on the mosaic floor.
There was a door either side of the room, excluding the entrance itself. Next to either door was stood a stuffed bear, for the one that the Tiefling had went into for the parlour, the bear wore a top hat. The other wore a pith helmet and clenched a musket in it’s jaws. Likely to his hunting room.
“Sven! How are you my friend? Have you been well?” Called out a new voice from behind me as I studied the helmeted bear. I turned around to see the friend I had come to visit. East was a reasonably tall man just breeching six foot. He was thickly built, with broad shoulders and a bold chest that was full of mirth. He was dressed in a reddish smoking jacket and a wide smile, the latter he always wore. He had maple brown hair, trimmed short on his fringe, but platted on his back; and a great beard obscuring most of his face in autumn coloured hair.
“I am well. Though having to go up that drive of yours had made me rather sore.” I replied, walking over to him as I held my hat, the servant coming up to our side and taking it from me. East gave a guffawing laugh in return and put his arm over my shoulder and pulled me in close.
“You always act like every seat is a bed of nails for you my friend!” Pulling me forward past the top hatted bear into a hallway.
“With what that drive is like it might as well be!” I responded, making him break out into a laugh once again.
“Yes, your not the first to complain. Though the politest about it so far.” Opening the door to the parlour as he spoke, letting us into the splendid room.
It was a long, almost hall like room, like what you would read about from old adventure novels. It had a trio of massive fireplaces across the opposite side of the room, all dressed in brick and aged oak with great portraits above them, all from different countries ad vastly different styles. They were never the same paintings that I had seen the time before either.
It was carpet in a great purple velvet, ebony tables and leather chairs were dotted about it as a quartet of grandfather clocks tutted together at the emptiness of the room. I walked over to the table that East gestured to me, a tall ebony round table with a pair of sherry glasses and a large blue bottle of the sweat drink.
“Thank you,” I said as I sat down, the servant pouring me a drink as I did, getting a smile from me in return.
“So, how has work been treating you? I still can’t believe you’re a police officer, that type of work doesn’t suit you!” East remarked as he slackened in his chair, the cherry in his glass seeming to have disappeared before I saw it poured.
“My superior seemed to take the same view.” I replied, looking down at my steepled hands, my face tensing slightly. East shifted in his chair, straightening up.
“Pardon?”
“He fired me from the force. He couldn’t even come up with a reason why, just told me to go and not come back. They never did like me there anyway.” I said, my voice becoming slightly hollow without my noticing. I cleared my throat, trying to push past the subject. “Well, you all said it never suited me. This might be for the best, there’s always work if you peak under the corners.” I finished with a chuckle looking up at East, who regarded me with a stern look, catching me off guard.
“Yes, but it was what ,you, wanted to do.” His response caught me off guard, making me stiffen up. “Whether I, or anyone else thought it didn’t suite you was irrelevant. We were happy that you were.” Resting his head on his palm as he spoke. I looked down at the floor, not having anything to say, trying to hold back a warm tear, and only just managing.
East was silent for a long moment before standing up. “Well,” he began as I turned up to look up at him, “if you are looking for work, I might have something to tide you over before you go back to the force.” He stated, gesturing for both I and the servant to follow.
“Wha-” I began before he continued on, out through the door we came through, making me quickly chuck the rest of my glass down my throat and scurry after him, the servant following on after us much more calmly, yet easily keeping pace.
“What do you mean? Firstly, I don’t need a job, I’m more than fine. Secondly, what do you man get back on the force? It didn’t work out! I’ll just do something else.” I blurted out hurriedly, panicking as I scurried after him, my glasses rocking about on my nose with every other step.
“You give up too easily on your ambitions my dear friend.” East replied, making me stop mid-step. He stopped as well, turning around to me with a stiff expression, a line of disapproval clear in his countenance. “While, it is, and will always remain your own right to decide your own path. It remains my right to be concerned for you as your friend, you can refuse my help, but that doesn’t mean I will stop offering it.” He finished, his face the same, though less disapproving now than before.
“Now, either, you can follow, looking at a job offer. Or, you can follow simply as my friend, who I want to show off to. Though, you’ll remain the latter in either case.” He finished, walking through the hall and past the pith hatted bear. I looked at him as he went, stopping for a moment, unable to stop a single tear from falling from my eye and blurring my glasses. I lifted them from my face, and wiped it with a white cloth from my vest pocket as I followed after him, a small smile on my face.
“You’re too good. Simply too good.” I mumbled to myself as I walked, noticing the servant was regarding me quietly, but then quickly turned his masked face forward again. I followed after them, darting my gaze around as we advanced through the hall to the various paintings, tapestries, animals and fineries that beautied the menagerie of a manor.
Then we came to a large, pale door, a great valve set on it’s face, like a ships bulkhead. The servant stepped past both East and I and grabbed the valve with a single hand, then twisted it open with great ease. I stared at him for a moment in quiet bewilderment, feeling my glasses slide down my nose once again.
“Thank you Nivika,” East said to him, a pleasant smile on his face, the latter giving a small bow in return. East then continued on, lifting a foot over the step into the rooms threshold, both I and Nivika following on after, seeming to gravitate towards my friend.
The room itself was covered wall to wall in stacked glass cabinets, filled with various objects of either great beauty or things that I simply could not explain.
“What is this?” I asked, eyes scatter, flicking my gaze about the room, almost making myself dizzy as I found object after object that snatched up my curiosity.
“A collection of mine. Mythical and magical artifacts, form Dwarves, Elves, Kobolds, Gnolls and what have you,” he replied, with a slightly exited tone, puffing his chest out slightly. “Though, there’s plenty of things from humans in here as well. We were always a race obsessed with the materiel after all,” chuckling as he finished, then seemed to calm himself suddenly.
“But, that’s not what I wanted to show you however,” walking over to one side of the room to a particular cabinet in a dark corner of the room, his words pulling me after him, “that honour, belongs to this.” He held out his hand and Nivika passed him a wooden rod with a brass head that East used to push open the face of the cabinet, then pull out it’s contents.
It was.. Well, a smallish round iron ball, somewhere between a watermelon and a grapefruit. It was unpolished, seeming to sit in his hand with a dull lustre, and yet, seemingly out of place in reality, like it didn’t quite fit.
“What is it?” I asked, curious what about it made it so fantastic it deserved a place among all these other treasures.
“Something forgotten.” East replied, rocking it in his hand as he walked around in front of me.
“Pardon?” I asked, taken slightly aback by his response. East regarded me for a moment, seeming to think about something as he looked down at the clump of metal in his hands.
“You know that this world has seen far more nations and cultures and peoples that what is left in this current age, yes?” He put to me, his inner scholar breaking out across his face.
“Yes, what do you mean?” I replied, a bite of sheepishness breaking my words.
“Well, we have our Gods don’t we?” He said, looking to me for confirmation, so I, and Nivika both gave a nod in response. “Then, here is the question you should be asking. What happened to theirs?” Lifting the ball high above his head as he studied it’s underside. I felt my jaw slacken as he finished, what he just said slowly digging itself into my mind.
“Y-you mean…” I stammered out, feeling my glasses finally fall from my face, then be caught by the chain from my jacket pocket.
“Yes. This is what is left of a forgotten God.” He turned to me after that, a smile pulling at his face, “but, if something is left. That can only mean, it’s not forgotten.” I felt myself getting exited as he spoke, my knees weakening beneath me as a manic smile seemed to break across my face before I could notice it.
“The job I have for you,” he continued, snapping me out of my little reverie, “is to find who, or what, still remembers this one.” Bouncing the ball in his hand as he finished.
“But, how do I do that?” I asked, trying to remain serious, my excitement almost flooding my brain.
“I’ll leave that up to you.” He replied jovially, tossing the ball into my arms, which I caught with both hands, making me gasp out from it’s surprising weight for how easily East had been tossing it about.
“But,” I began, but when I looked up, neither East, Nivika, the room or anything was there. I looked all around me, looking up and around to try and find something, but there wasn’t anything. Just cold blackness. Yet, it felt oddly comfortable.
I spun my head around for a moment before I heard a voice come from behind me, as if spoken directly into my ear. “So, you’re the new one then?” I whirled around to where I had heard it, but nothing was there, somehow even less than there was before.
“Who are you?!” I shouted out into the emptiness. “Where are you?!”
“I should really be asking that. You came up here to me after all, or would it be down? Maybe a bit to the left? Never mind…” The voice dismissive as it spoke, always seeming to be just behind me no matter where I looked. “I suppose I should grant you the honour of an answer. You are the first one to come and see me in a while after all.” It finished, leaving me slightly confused, but before I could think about it, I felt a clap of air from behind me as if a massive explosion had silently gone off behind me, accompanied by a great silver light as well.
I spun around to see what it was, to snap out some retort, but when I did, nothing came out. The figure that floated before me was over seven feet tall, dressed in a splendid red, blue and gold tunic, covered with gold and turquoise jewellery. But what was more fascinating was it’s body, it was covered in turquoise feathers that covered it’s arms, legs and face, then pale nutmeg scales that covered its stomach and chest, along the bottom of it’s tail.
But what was even more remarkable than that, was something else. A large section of it’s gut, an arm and a leg on opposite sides, and the top half of it’s head, seemed to be shattered, with part of them hovering near where they used to be part of him, following delayed after he had already moved the limb, delayed slightly in their movement.
“Speechless then?” The figure responded, making me jump, “that’s to be expected when people gaze on my majestic figure.” Placing the hand of his shattered arm on his chest proudly, dragging behind him a shattered halo of white light.
I wrestled with my stunned mouth for a moment before I was able for force out my question. “Who-who are y-you.” I bundled the question out of my mouth, my tongue not seeming to fit within my jaw any longer. He seemed to look at me slightly surprised, like I had asked something obvious, not that I could truly tell, considering he lacked most of what could be used to make an expression bar from a long muzzle stuffed with large teeth.
“Well, you should know that already, shouldn’t you,” Spreading his arms out wide, his muzzle breaking out into a grand smile, the fractured halo expanding out behind him, “I’m your God!” His response making me stiffen, not able to breath for a moment. “Good to meet yah! But, I think it’s time for goodbyes. Caio!” He called out, the last note of his voice seeming to coincide with the world around me snaping back to where I was before, both East and Nivika giving me concerned looks.
I smiled back to both of them, making them relax slightly. “East, I’ll do it.” I stated, my smile stilled pulled across my face as I gripped the at the steel sphere.

WOODEN WATCHES: A NATURAL CHOICE FOR STYLE AND SUSTAINABILITY
Tumblr media
WOODEN WATCHES: A NATURAL CHOICE FOR STYLE AND SUSTAINABILITY
Wooden watches for men & women have become a popular trend in recent years, offering a unique and stylish alternative to traditional metal watches. But beyond aesthetics, these timepieces come with a surprising number of benefits.
Warm Woods, Cool Style
Wooden watches for women and men boast a distinctive look that complements both casual and formal attire. The natural grain of the wood adds a touch of organic elegance, making them a conversation starter. From classic dark woods like ebony and walnut to lighter options like bamboo and maple, there's a wooden watch to suit every taste.
Sustainable Timekeeping
Many wooden watches are crafted from sustainably sourced wood, making them an eco-friendly choice. This is a major advantage over traditional metal watches, whose manufacturing process can have a significant environmental impact.
Lightweight Comfort
Wooden watches are surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear. Unlike heavier metal watches, they won't weigh down your wrist. This makes them ideal for all-day wear, whether you're at work, at play, or anywhere in between.
Durability You Can Count On
Despite their light weight, wooden watches are surprisingly durable. The wood is treated with oils and waxes to resist moisture and scratches. With proper care, a wooden watch can last for many years.
A Unique Gift Idea
Looking for a gift that's both thoughtful and stylish? A wooden watch is a perfect choice. It's a unique and personalized present that anyone who appreciates natural materials and sustainable style will love.
Things to Consider
While wooden watches offer many advantages, there are a few things to keep in mind. Wood is naturally softer than metal, so it may be more susceptible to scratches. Additionally, some wooden watches may not be water-resistant, so it's important to check the manufacturer's recommendations before wearing one around water.
Wooden Watches: A Natural Choice
With their unique style, sustainable materials, and comfortable wear, wooden watches are a compelling choice for anyone looking for an alternative to traditional timepieces. So next time you're in the market for a new watch, consider going natural and embrace the beauty of wood.

Balance and weight – the balance can be shifted forward or back as needed. Weights can be embedded into the joint or into the butt of the stick.
Shape – you can have the butt shaped with turnings per your custom design and pattern.
Butt wood and shaft wood – you can select from a huge variety of exotic woods, including ebony, tulipwood, cocobolo, birdseye maple, zebrawood, and dozens of others.
Inlays & rings – these can be made in hundreds of designs in a variety of woods, mother of pearl, turquoise, even silver and gold.
Points – you can have multiple points of multiple patterns with unique sequences of exotic woods.
Length – the length can be customized to your height, and the joint placed for a longer or shorter shaft.
Type and placement of wrap – this can be Irish linen, regular or exotic leather, other material, or no wrap.
Ferrules – the materials used can be ivory or special fibers in various lengths.
Tips – there are many different brands of tips of various hardness levels and types (layered or one piece) made from a wide variety of materials.
Joints – select from any of the several common joints, made from different materials or even a wood-to-wood joint.
With this level of customizable complexity, production cue makers are unable to offer much variety. They can provide a selection of different lines of cues with options, such as different weights, points, and a few design selections. With a custom cue maker, you can get as picky as you want.
To locate a cue maker, talk to several individuals who have custom cues and ask why they selected their maker. Talk about the costs, the flexibility, and turnaround times. If you decide to check out a couple, send them email and ask questions. It doesn’t hurt to ask to see any completed cues they may have. You might find something you like. If you are satisfied with the quality work, the next question is to check out the turnaround time. The really good cue makers are usually booked for a couple of years.
You can look for someone who is local (within 50 miles). Even if cue-making is a hobby or part-time, he will take pride in his work. Much of his business will probably be cue repair and tip replacement. But he will have the equipment for manufacturing a custom job for you. Talk with him.
A local maker will be available to fix any problems that comes up, or handle routine maintenance. He will also be able to take a look at your playing styles and make suggestions on specifications.
Mainly, you want a stick you are proud to take out of your case and have others crowding around drooling over various beautiful elements of your prize. With a great stick, you can believe that your game will improve dramatically.
Whoever becomes your cue maker will have an almost fanatic desire to make sticks that reflect their personal sense of craftsmanship. Workmanship and multiple levels of quality control are hallmarks of his work. They will stand behind their work and are always available to fix anything that goes wrong.
You might decide to become a cue collector. You can collect cues based on styles, inlays, exotic woods, cue maker, or any parameters you find acceptable. Depending on your requirements, this can become expensive. But the love of conversing with other collectors and the process of hunting down a specific cue by a specific maker, combined with the bargaining can be an exciting adventure by itself.
Good luck!!

When you’re the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for the GRAMMY Award-winning band Halestorm, a riff connoisseur, all-around badass, and Gibson’s first female Brand Ambassador, you need a guitar that is made to rock as hard as you do. Kramer is super-stoked to announce our first artist model for a female guitarist with the Lzzy Hale Voyager in Black Diamond Holographic Sparkle. Lzzy fell in love with a pointy version of the classic Kramer Voyager body style and chose an attention-grabbing Black Diamond Holographic Sparkle finish that looks sick on stage. The Lzzy Hale Voyager has a single bridge-position Kramer 85-T humbucker and a single Volume control, along with a Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo and R2 Locking Nut for rock-solid tuning stability. The 3-piece maple neck has an ebony fretboard with lightning bolt inlays, a satin finish for speed, and a Slim “C” profile for comfort. A Kramer Hardshell case is also included. Fall in love with a guitar that is unlike any of this world. Hit the link in the Kramer bio or head to KramerGuitars.com to get yours now!
