hmm how basic is it of me to say that one of my favourite english songs is 505 by arctic monkeys?

but also hmhm, a song im very very in love with and it makes me feel like im in love while listening to it is dance me to the end of love by leonard cohen

as about greek ones, i probably have several but most of them are old, however, there's one that is like very old but a more recent singer did a cover of it some years ago, tho more than the song itself, i love the story behind it, it's called ζητάτε να σας πω (or roughly translated as "you ask of me to tell" but the "tell" is more like "sing" in context) by mariza rizou

basically this goes back to 1930 in athens where a big singer called attik was at the place he was singing at, all of sudden, his ex wife comes in along with her current husband, so, the crowd noticed and started asking the said singer to sing a song he wrote for his ex wife. saddened by everything, attik goes back to the dressing room and comes back out to the stage after 10 minutes, sits down and starts playing and singing a brand new song "you ask of me to tell/sing" which was about the whole situation

it's more like poetry than singing but maybe that's the reason why i like it so much sjdjskxj

whatever the case, long story short he sings about how the crowd asked of him to sing the song he made for his ex wife while having her present, and while still being hurt by as he called it within his song wound and so on
