okay movie over and let me say #1 Pope did nothing wrong ever in his life. Everything that went wrong was Dead Guy's fault (I don't know any of their names except Santiago lol). #2 Yes I'm woobifying Pope slightly but literally the guy just wanted to make sure his friends would have enough money to get the life they wanted. Dead Guy just made everything worse at every turn. #3 no I am not taking criticism at this time

Anyway overall? Meh movie. Oscar was good, everyone else performed well too. Not a very satisfying plot or anything, didn't do anything new or interesting. Really wish we got to know more about Pope's backstory? I like his strong sense of justice, I wish I knew where it came from

It probably has already been talked about, but. The lost boys are special, they are set apart from other typical horror movie antagonists because they care about each other. They love each other.

This is proven by three moments;

1. You killed Marko!

The Frog brothers are a target for Paul. Reasons could have been; they were a danger to Paul, or they had simply gotten Paul's attention by getting close to him. This line proves otherwise. Paul does not want to kill the Frog brothers for himself, but as an act of vengeance for Marko. One of the other boys death affected him enough to push him to do something about it.

2. David's reaction

Let's go through the scene;

Marko is staked.

The other three boys are woken up, David screams "You're dead meat!"

He chases the Frog brothers and Sam up to where the sun shines. David gets burnt and has to let them go. He screams and lets go.

One tear falls from his eye. He laughs, "Tomorrow."

The first thing to note is how David doesn't laugh right away. It doesn't match his behavior in his previous hunting scene, where he laughed before going to kill. Instead, he screams. The laugh he gives in the end is also far from what it usually is. It's not loud or joyous.

Like with the previous point, it could be taken as David defending himself, and the tear could be thought to be of pain. But, narratively, the tear isn't necessary to tell he suffered from the burn, he already reacted. A new information it could give would be sadness, or shock, which would be towards the death of Marko.

3. The boys looking for eachother

This is the first scene of the movie, which is used to set the tone and the plot of the movie. It is also the boys' introduction, in which relationships and personalities are explained to the viewer in the most efficient way possible.

David comes first, as the leader. He looks around and sets the path for the other three. Dwayne and Paul follow, and they both turn towards the lasts, with a smile. This explains that the Boys don't just hang out because it's convenient or because they have too, they actively want to stay together. Dwayne and Paul make sure everybody is following and sticking close.

This genuine care the boys have for eachother is the most important reason for why people like them so much as characters. It gives the boys a deeper dynamic, a feeling of group instead of staying individuals.

It also gives dimension to the characters. They cannot be simple animalistic killers with the only desire to stay alive, since they love. This opens a gate. What else do they feel? How 'human' are they? Since so little is seen of the boys, it's free to be intrepreted and imagined as anyone wants.

In short, the boys are brothers <33333 and that's why everyone loves them.

Buying the Lost Boys Flowers

Lost boys x G/N reader no gender of reader is mentioned

Headcannons on how each of the boys would react to their mate gifting them flowers. Short sweet stuff I dug out of my drafts.

Paul- Paul would be the most giddy to receive flowers from his mate. He would definitely show them off to the others bragging, “how you are the best partner and that he has the best mate ever”. Gets really sad when they start wilting and will pout if you don’t get him anymore.

Marko- Marko would be shocked and just a lil confused, was this your way of asking for more flowers? But once you explain that you saw them and thought of him he’d blush and set them on a shelf in his room so he could paint them later.

Dwayne- Big man is flattered that you would buy him flowers, he goes and "aquires" a vase since he didn’t want to ruin the vision of your gift by putting them in an empty beer bottle. He preserves a few of the flowers by pressing them in the pages of his books, that way he will always have a small piece of the gift you gave him. He may actually turn them into a bookmark on a rare occasion if he’s feeling crafty.

David- David is the most shocked to receive flowers, he sees himself as the provider (he is also the one who initiates first in a potential relationship) so it definitely sorta blindsides him that affectionate gestures go both ways. I feel that David is such a romantic soul that he gets tunnel vision when it comes to love, he gets so focused on showering his mate with romance that he neglects getting love for himself. So if you give him flowers, prepare to receive an extra amount of gentle kisses and be prepared to have a big scary vampire glued to you all night.

Okay, there was a part in your brain that was saying that you shouldn't be reacting like this. "Fuck Max." Dwayne nodded with you, and you all drove to the cave.

You angrily get off of Marko's bike, almost stomping the ground as you jumped down into the cave. It seemed that everything had you set off today. "Are you kidding me Paul? I told you to clean this up!" The pizza boxes from 3 days ago still sat on the couch. Paul looks hurt at your words.

"Calm down." David tells you and you want to hit him.

"Don't tell me what to do."

"You aren't angry at us."

"No i'm not, i'm angry at Max, i'm angry at those surf nazis, and I'm angry at this fucking mess." You knew you couldn't blame them for Max or the Surfers, but at least with this mess you could focus on something. You picked up a trash bag and forced the boxes inside them.

Watched the first episode of Lockwood and Co., cuz I saw it was in the top 20 shows for Netflix and the little preview I saw looked interesting, and it actually looks kinda good so far??? I remember raising it to Helmut Marko – Red Bull’s motorsport consultant – that this kid looks the real deal. Helmut watched him at the Norisring in Germany and he was convinced.

There was interest from Niki Lauda and Mercedes, but Red Bull could take him to Formula One immediately. So, he came to us a very young age. He was 16. And I remember in his very first outing for us – a demonstration run in Rotterdam – he took the front wing off the car! But you could tell in the seat fitting the confidence he had for a young guy was exceptional.

All of the drivers that came through the junior categories learned their trade out of the spotlight, but Max became the youngest driver in Formula One ever. He was only 17. Every move and every mistake he made was scrutinised.

Jean Todt, who was the FIA president at the time, changed the regulations to ensure someone as young and inexperienced as Max could not enter F1. There will never be a driver that moves so rapidly from karting to F1 again. But the way he dealt with it mentally made him a standout character.

It was obvious in his first full F1 season when he drove for Red Bull’s sister team Toro Rosso, that he was an emerging talent, and at the beginning of 2016 he was performing beyond the capability of the car.

Daniil Kvyat was struggling, and there was a lot of interest in Max. We made the decision to move him to Red Bull at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Mercedes did their thing when Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg crashed into each other on the first lap and Max, who started fourth which was already stunning, made the one-stop strategy work to win in his first Grand Prix with the team. He became the sport’s youngest ever winner, aged 18. It was a fairytale. Max had arrived.

He won races in 2017 and 2018, and in 2019 he became the team leader following Daniel Ricciardo’s departure to Renault. He grew up, and it was a transformative year for him.

In 2021 we had a car and an engine that could take the fight to Mercedes, and that season will go down as one of the most competitive sporting duels the sport has ever had.

From the first race in Bahrain through to Abu Dhabi, Max and Lewis were like two heavyweights going up against each other. Max was a dog with a bone. He wouldn’t let it go. And you couldn’t script that they would head to the final race tied on points.

Max was very cool. He put the car on pole, and we took our opportunity under the final safety car. Max had one lap to get the job done. I don’t think Lewis expected Max to attack in the corner that he did, and people overlook that he still had to beat Lewis. He still had to win the race. It wasn’t about two unlapped backmarkers. It was about Max reacting to the circumstances and getting the job done. And under the most intense pressure he did just that. He sent it down the inside and the whole place went bananas.

To see him and his father, Jos, celebrate was a very special moment because it was the culmination of all the effort that his father had put into him at a very young age. Max achieved his goal, and anything after that was the icing on the cake, because for him, it was all about becoming a world champion.

Max has still got all the tenacity he had when he got in the car as a 17-year-old, but he now marries that with experience. Outside of the car, he is a normal guy, too. He has his feet on the ground and he hasn’t had his head turned by fame and fortune. He still loves racing, and he has got good, grounded principals.

He is competitive and wears his heart on his sleeve. He is very honest. He will give you everything, but he expects everything in return.

He can go on to achieve so much more. We are riding a wave at the moment, and we want to continue riding that wave for as long as we can.

Will Max be in Formula One for a long, long time? I don’t think so. He has ambitions beyond F1 and beyond racing. And at 26, 36 seems a long way away.

The Lost Boys x S/O That’s Afraid Of Spiders

David

he would find it amusing how much you hate spiders. david thinks of spiders more as a nuisance than anything. when you’d see a spider and jump on his lap in fear he’d think it’s funny. he’d say something like, “are you really scared of a little spider?”

depending on his mood, david might get a little annoyed with your fear of spiders. for example, if you screech and jump at him for protection and he’s in a bad mood he might groan and tell you to grow up a little bit. he’ll apologize later if he truly offended you, but when he’s in a bad mood any little thing will make it worse.

david would kill the spiders for you. not only because you’re afraid of them, but also because he finds them annoying. he likes seeing you come to him for protection, but he wouldn’t want you to be afraid for too long. if he’s not in the mood for getting spider remains on his shoes then he’ll grab a stick for the spider to climb on and he’ll leave it outside.

Dwayne

dwayne wouldn’t be annoyed with your fear of spiders. he knows that all people/vampires are all afraid of something, and yours happens to be spiders. the first time he saw you scream and run to him because of a spider he just laughed a little bit and then killed it.

he wouldn’t ever make fun of you for your fear of spiders. he just finds it funny at times. if it’s a big spider he’ll understand because they’re scaring looking and ugly, but he finds it funny when you screech over a spider the size of an ant. one of the first times he saw you run away from a tiny spider he said, “this little thing? he won’t hurt you,” dwayne still killed it afterwards though because he doesn’t like seeing you scared.

dwayne isn’t afraid of spiders unless they come out of nowhere. like if he turns and sees one right next to him he’ll jump a little bit. he’s not scared of killing spiders though because he’s used to killing them for you and laddie. he finds it cute how you come to him for protection. he likes being the brave one.

Paul

paul would make fun of you for it, but deep down he’s afraid of spiders too. he would never admit it though. the first time you saw a spider and hid behind him he started laughing at you. “babe, you’re scared of a nice little spider?” he’ll apologize if he makes you feel bad, and depending on the size he’ll step on it to kill it.

if you insist he kills a big sized spider, paul will say he will like it’s no sweat, but when he gets close to it and realizes how big it actually is he’ll chicken out. all his courage will be washed away, and he’ll spend a few minutes trying to boost his confidence back up to kill it. once you tell him to kill it a second time his confidence will be gone and he’ll come up with an excuse like, “he’s probably got a wife and kids! i don’t want to kill him!”

paul will never admit that he’s scared of spiders, but has no problem making fun of you for it. if you try to tell him that he’s afraid of them too he’ll deny it till no end. paul will only have the courage to kill the small spiders the big ones are you’re problem.

Marko

marko is not afraid of spiders in the slightest. it’s mainly because he knows that they can’t hurt him even if they bite him. when he found out you were deathly afraid of spiders he thought it was hilarious and made fun of you like paul. “i can’t believe you’re afraid of these friendly little spiders! they won’t do anything to you! here, take one!”

marko would try to get the spiders to befriend him and follow him around the cave, but he fails almost every time. he’ll pick one up and chase you around with it saying he wants you to meet his new friend, but he really just enjoys scaring you. if the spider bites him or refuses to be his friend, marko will get upset and kill it as punishment.

he doesn’t really like killing them because they don’t bother him, but he will if you’re screaming at him to. after chasing you around with the spider in his hand he’ll say, “babe, look,” and he’ll kill it by crushing it with his bare hands. that probably wouldn’t make you feel any better cause of how gross that would be, but he got rid of the spider problem.

I had a silly dream last night and in it I was watching TV. Apparently lost boys was turned into a funny family comedy show (perhaps I've been watching too much Young Sheldon rip). Anyways, I can't remember what happened in the episode but I do remember that at the end just as the credits were about to roll there was a silly goofy scene. But for context, the show was about if Max and Lucy married and they were one big family with a lot of funny shit happening. The scene played out as:

- David sitting in a lawn chair outside smoking a cigarette, looking out into the backyard.

- Lucy came marching out with Marko in tow, stepping right up to David. She placed a mug of coffee on the armrest of his chair. She put her hands on her hips like a disappointed mother.

- Marko stands off to the side, hands behind his back looking ashamed.

- David did his little smile and blinked a few times, looking between her and the coffee.

- "Seriously? What the hell is wrong with you," Lucy said with disappointment.

- David looks at the coffee and shrugs. "I don't see anything wrong with it."

- Lucy looks to Marko who tries to hide his smile. She reached over and pulls out a dead salamander from her coffee. She drops it onto David's lap, who does not react at all. She points angrily between the two boys. "I'm telling your father."

- David throws the salamander at Marko. "Oh no. Don't tell Max," he says with sarcasm.

- Lucy throws her hands in the air and walks away, exhausted with them.

Well as a McLaren fan can I just say a HUGE THANK YOU to the petulant squabbling RED BULL drivers.

You may have your issues with each other but causing another car to virtually STOP on track while you try to prove a point to each other is a fucking joke!

Every single point matters at the moment to McLaren so by all means fuck over Lando’s entire race just so you can go whinging to Christian and Marko about who’s fault it was, because it doesn’t effect you in any way.

Absolute joke. Max you didn’t have have control of your car because you saw red with Checo. And that is the second race this season you have cost Lando his race by going too hot into a corner and causing everyone to have to react to you.

What is even the point anymore? If it was any other team they would be up with the stewards.

N.B. Go read the comments and then go and read what Max and Checo have said after the race. Funny they seem to back up my theory.

This is nothing compared to what fans are saying on other sites so maybe pick your battles kids.
