My Main MCs!

Alright, MCs in my canon route. I've written about them so let's actually talk about them with some edits I made of all of them post-ILW. @ila-appreciationweek

Devon - ILITW MC

Name: Valen "Val" Ebony

Pronouns/Gender: Trans demiboy, he/him

Love Interest: Lucas Thomas in game along with Noah Marshall, Daniel Pierce, and Andy Kang in my own personal adaptation of canon

Personality: Valen is best described as passionate. He’s passionate in every sense of the word, but mostly he’s passionately himself. This results in a fair bit of chaos to the point it’s even been described as feral but Val doesn’t care. The central core of Val is his love. His love for his boyfriends, all of his friends, his brother, the people of Westchester, music, the woods, the world, all of it. He’s loyal and loving and would do anything for those he loves, no matter the price.

Harper - ILB MC

Name: Leon "Leo/Lee" Vance

Pronouns/Gender: Trans male, he/him

Love Interest: Tomoichi Sato

Personality: Leon is actually fairly well put together. He’s smart and resourceful and tends to know what he’s doing, or at the very least making everyone else think he does. He’s confident and strong and just. He has a sweet and a fun side and is a hopeless romantic, though he’ll never admit it. Ridiculously loyal and protective.

Rowans - ILW MCs

Name: Castor "Cas" Athantis

Pronouns/Gender: Nonbinary, they/them

Love Interest: Abel Flint

Personality: Genuine/sarcastic. Overall they’re just a nice, fun, outgoing person who is loyal and stubborn and good and just truly cares about people. The problem is that they’re also a little shit.

Notes: Twin sibling of Julian Athantis

Name: Julian Athantis

Pronouns/Gender: Trans male, he/him

Love Interest: Lincoln Aquino

Personality: Genuine and a little bit sarcastic but in a more playful, almost adolescent way than Castor. He’s sweet and playful and he fucking loves people. He has a good sense of right and wrong and they tend to be very trusting but oh can he hold a grudge. He’s protective and stubborn underneath that bright pink hair. He seems grumpy on the surface but he's just tired of running and fighting for so long.

( ANONYMOUS ASKS ) ——- hey, idk if you should have accepted ‘marshall lee’ considering how controversial (and transphobic) gender swapping is ?

hi! so i would like to preface this with that i am a trans man myself, so this is just my personal view on it. i am very much against gender swapping due to it being transphobic, so therefore: if a mun were to try and take a canon character themselves to gender swap them for the purposes of roleplaying in the group, i would not allow this. however, as marshall lee is a canon character in the universe, i am allowing them in the group. it is the same reasoning why i would allow a joan watson from elementary, but i wouldn't allow sherlock holmes to be played as a woman nor would i allow a member to take john watson from bbc sherlock to portray him as a woman. joan, while a man in the books and in some media, is portrayed as a woman and written to be a woman specifically by the writers behind the canon of elementary as opposed to a mun taking sherlock and writing him as a woman for the purposes of wanting to play him as a woman in the group. the narrative and experiences have shaped joan specifically to be written as a woman in elementary as opposed to just taking the character and switching their gender. characters like marshall, fionna, and prince gumball were written into the canon story line and have canonical representation and basis - not just characters that members are taking and writing to gender swap them specifically. while they were originally intended to be fanfiction characters in the universe, the spin-off show validates their existence as characters - albeit them being from a secret alternate reality. while i understand that i do not speak for all trans people and that my views are only representative of how i perceive the situation, my explanation above is why i am allowing him to be playing in the group.

Could someone do a gender bent version of a character that is already taken in the canon?

we don’t allow gender bends ! if you’d like to make a character trans or non binary, you’re free to do that - so long as their character arc doesn’t require them to be cis. to clarify: this means you can take a canon woman character and say they’re trans or non binary - but you still have to use a woman fc and you can’t say they’re male. & we don’t allow multiple versions of the same character. they have to be significantly different or exist simultaneously in a fandom ( such as marceline & marshall lee ) for us to accept. hope this all answers your questions & makes sense !

The Americana Rhythms and Blues Tour (aka TriFest Music Tour) is now open to claim a place.

The itinerary for our three-week music journey is below. I will be the guide. Having been to every festival and city/town that we will visit, I would LOVE to share these places and experiences with you.

The final tour numbers will be finalised based on vehicle logistics, but to keep it the most personal and comfortable experience possible, there will be an upper limit. Places are allocated once a deposit is paid and these are on a first-come basis. The Tour will be utilising the experienced services of Trans Otway Travel.

Deposits per person are 10% of the Tour price and are payable in Australian $$s, with the balance payable by instalments due end February and end July 2018.

Inclusions and exclusions are also set out below.

A deposit of AUD $ 590 per person is required to hold your place. The deposit will be refunded if Tour does not proceed or is full. In all other cases the deposit is non-refundable.
