Moments that make me love Karasuma
Dude has a look on his face right at the start says he's gone from "I didn't want this assignment" to "Guess I'm a dad now"
"yes, they're totes adorable. But put them away, this is supposed to be a secret!"
"it's a teacher's job to prepare you for life, not force you into it."
class dad elbows Takaoka in the face.
Takes that poison gas in the face for his kids and manages to not only stay conscious but also mainly standing.
When they're using codenames, he says each one with complete conviction.
speaking of codenames....Da Densest
His reaction to meeting the Reaper is just "Oh yeah, Lovro mentioned you."
Doesn't even hesitate to say saving the world isn't worth the kids being collateral damage.
when he gives Irina the rose.
"nagisa's mother just apologized to me. Something about trying to burn down the campus?"
The totally hamfisted way he asks Irina to move in with him.
When the military is upset about the kids attacking the soldiers to get up the mountain he's just like "Eh, they're here every day. What did you expect?"

Trying to organize my schedule so I can at the very least get 7 hours of sleep because I can't function without more than 6 hours (also I should be healthy) got me thinking about how much the ass class kids sleep.
People say teens should get 8 - 10 hours of sleep and that's my goal, but I have to keep making that time lower and lower... so like did the ass class kids get the right amount of sleep?
I think Nagisa may have? Like after a long day of school, climbing up and down the mountain, dealing with... everything, plus coming home to his mom, I think he'd use sleep as a way to avoid her. So the moment he comes home, he sleeps and when he wakes up he tries to leave away. He seems like a morning person to me, and personally as a morning person, I'm only a morning person when I get like a refreshing amount of sleep (which is about 7-9 hours).
Must I even talk about Karma? Because no way. Istg he cannonically does not sleep enough. Wakes up with a struggle bc he stayed up way too late studying or playing video games and has to run out his door to not be too tardy ( he only gets enough sleep if he's late to school bc he physically can't get up )
Kayano must have traumatic nightmares fuelling her anger throughout most of the series... and even after she finds out the truth, I don't think it gets nightmares of her dead sister out of her mind, so I think she tries to sleep well and struggles because of the nightmares (plus the uncomfortableness of the tentacles).
Terasaka may get some good sleep too? I mean physically he's very fit and also he acknowledges the stupid things Karma and Nagisa do a couple of times. He calls out their behaviours of overworking (like during the nagisa v karma fight) and killing intent (? like when Nagisa goes blind with rage bc of Takaoka) so I think he's pretty in tune to his own behaviour esp after his spotlight episode where he reforms. Basically I think Terasaka promotes a healthy sleep schedule and makes sure that all of his friends get at least 8 hours a night.
Isogai works, studies, trains, helps out at home, is the class president... boy has a lot on his plate and I think he gets very little sleep bc of this. Like he is responsible and knows that he should sleep more but he can't because of all the responsibilities he has (which I think is a very very relatable issue).
Asano... lacks sleep. Literally looks sickly. Sleeps like 2 hours a night. He learned his sleeping habits from the worst person to learn sleeping habits from; his father. (idk how his brain isn't fried)
Kirara lacks sleep too, but it's a choice. She stays up all night reading or writing after finishing up everything she has to do and loses track of time. Terasaka is trying to fix this poor habit of hers. (He definitely does by the time high school rolls around)
Nakamura does try but she's also a natural genius. Unlike other geniuses in her world, her brain functions with the perfect amount of sleep, so she sleeps enough.
Megu sacrifices her sleep to help others and has a ton of extra responsibilities, like Isogai. So, she usually doesn't get enough sleep. On the rare occasion that she does, she sleeps in way too much.
Wow, I had more thoughts about this than I thought I did. I was about to leave this with the main trio, but started thinking more. (Takebayashi lacks sleep too, with the cram schools and studying)
I wish we had like an exact schedule of these kids' days because they have so much on their plate. Analyzing the kids probable schedules under the cut.
Ik this varies, but I'm assuming their school day starts at 8:45 and ends at 3:15. That's 6.5 hours.
They can't go to extra curriculars, BUT they have their after school training, which I would say, is probably fairly extensive. I want to say it's about 1-2 hours a day? With school, it's 8.5 hours.
Not to mention, the climb up the mountain itself. There's multiple mentions of how long and exhausting it is. I think it takes about 30 minutes a trip, on average? Bc plenty of ppl have made it up, but it does take a while and it's tiring (could take longer cause of this) bc it's a mountain. So this is one more hour, just going up and down the mountain.
So, so far, these kids have school, where they learn and study at for 6.5 hours. And not including P.E, they work out/train for 3 hours a day.
Then there's the trip home which varies for all of them, not including the mountain trek. I think most of them have to wait for transit aND walk to the subways, which aren't too close, so I'm gonna say this is another hour? On average, I'd say. So that's two hours gone with transit a day
So far, 11.5 hours of their day is gone, outside of their homes, doing their like typical day responsibilities. Now they have 12.5 hours of their day left. With getting that max amount of 10 hours of sleep, they'd have 2.5 hours to work on homework, study a bit more, eat some food, take care of themselves, do their chores, and poor Isogai's got work. Plus you know, ppl have hobbies, things they enjoy.
Basically, it's impossible (or rlly hard) for the ass class kids to be getting the right amount of sleep. It is also rlly hard to get the right amount of sleep as a teen or an adult... good luck with the new school year guys.
Anyways get enough sleep! (or do your best to)
If you've got any time management tips, let me know!

Headcanons about the Nagisa - Kataoka duo, plz.
Hi, thanks for the ask! It's an interesting pair I never really thought about. But I did write a one-shot about Kataoka a couple weeks ago, so I'm geared up.
Nagisa & Kataoka:
I feel like they do get along, though. They're not really close, per say, because their friend groups are different, but they're definitely on the same wavelength.
They're both levelheaded, rational people who try to come up with solutions in a logical, thought-out manner.
Since Kataoka is more assertive and socially involved than Nagisa, he sort of never goes out of his way to talk to her.
She's genuinely appreciated, and admired for her charisma.
Kataoka appreciates Nagisa's "backseat" efforts though, and is admirative of the Koro Sensei weakness list, for example.
It's noted in the Roll Book Time that Nagisa actually is one of the few who is capable of stopping her when she goes on a bit too much on lecturing and ordering.
I think he'd be one to tap on her shoulders and try to derail her mind from what is upsetting her (probably Okajima's hijinks). Probably offer her a candy and a reading of his notes and observations. She deserves that down-time.
More on their dynamic:
There's quite a bit of parallels between them, when we think about it: Nagisa obviously has issues with being percieved and respected as the man he is, and his masculinity is often put into question. On the opposite end, Kataoka struggles with her femininity.
He's the shortest guy in Class E, and she's the tallest girl. They canonically had an arm wrestling match, too, that Nagisa completely lost, much to Megu chagrin.
As to activities, or situations where they'd actually spend time together, I'd like to think quiet, revising sessions would fit them; they both enjoy order and calm, and would probably make a great team.
Beyond Class E:
I can see them having the same sort of low-key time, touring the city mall, overall staying in their own bubble, and enjoying to be far, for once, from their more energetic friends.
Nagisa would win the claw machines games for Megu, making her overjoyed (think, a dolphin plushie).
Kataoka would in return use her mastery of knifemanship to win at games that revolve around quick-thinking, and dexterity. Darts, maybe?
I can see them go for clothes shopping too; they both trust eachother, and know of the others issues regarding how they're percieved, but also the fact they aren't BFF helps with honesty when chosing a piece.
In the future (think, the 7 years timeskip), I think that Nagisa (who is busy, due to his teaching) and Kataoka (when she lands back in Kunugigaoka, being a flight attendant) they unexpectedly end up having a free hour to spend together, at a café.
Doing things like catching up, sharing anecdotes from cabin crew and passagers, or from colleagues and students. They definitely would do it, lightheartedly, with Kanzaki too, who'd talk about her patients.
I hope you liked it :) There's not much to go off from in canon, but I genuinely think they would have a mature, 'stable person I can rely on if needed' sort of dynamic, despite everything.
My ask box is still open for headcanon requests!

3-E Quirks (All for Assassination)
Karma Akabane – Special Domain (can designate a subset of space around his body as a ‘special domain’ within which he can control the rate at which time passes)
Yuma Isogai - Battalion (can form a psychic link with an unknown number of people who look to him as leader; this psychic link remains active regardless of distance or quirk-cancelling factors applied to anyone but Isogai; the psychic link allows two-way thought and sensory communication, with the amount of information Isogai is able to receive contingent on the active consent of the other person; Isogai’s mind also contains a ‘Hive’ where anyone who he has a psychic link with can communicate with anyone else in the link)
Taiga Okajima - Phase (any object he touches can become permeable for the duration of his contact with it; others can pass through objects that he makes permeable while his quirk is active)
Hinata Okano - Momentum (can multiply the momentum of any physical action she takes or comes into contact with)
Manami Okuda - Poison (can secrete any chemical that she both knows the formula for and has the ingredients for in her body; has the secondary effect of making her entire body immune to any chemical that she knows the formula for, both internally and externally)
Meg Kataoka - Restore (can revert any organism to the state that it was exactly 24 hours previous; the restoration is total, erasing all memories and skills gained in the last 24 hours; works on organisms that have died)
Kaede Kayano - Actress (can alter her physical appearance in any way she desires; she must make and maintain the alterations consciously)
Yukiko Kanzaki - Blaster (can shoot a concentrated lazer blast from her hands; she can use individual fingers as smaller shots and an entire palm to create a larger blast)

Tomohito Sugino - Pitcher (can throw projectiles with massively increased force)
Kotaro Takebayashi - Analysis (an intelligence quirk that works especially well on tactical problems)
Ryunosuke Chiba - Sniper (can aim a projectile with accuracy from up to 1000 meters, provided a clean line of sight)
Ryoma Terasaka - Strength (upper limit unclear)
Rio Nakamura - Weak Point (has a supernatural sense for the optimal line of attack for any target – human or otherwise)

Takuya Muramatsu - Edible (produces a white enzyme powder from his fingertips that can convert almost anything organic into a form that is easily digestible by humans)
Toka Yada - Attentive (can manipulate the attention of anyone within a 20 meter radius, either to focus intensely on something or to make it so they can’t attend to something – and therefore can’t detect it at all)
Taisei Yoshida - Mechakinesis (can control anything that runs on a combustion engine telekinetically)
Ritsu - N/A
Itona Horibe - Technokinesis (can manipulate any electronic hardware telekinetically – specifically, he can control anything through which electricity is passing, with more precision the better a conductor a given object is)

Some Okano and Kataoka friendship hcs
Because I gotta start with my two girls first
These gals have been good friends since second year in junior high. They were in the same homeroom class. The two clicked after expressing how they’re not feminine enough.
Okano tells her that people sometimes mistake her for a boy because of her hair length and chest size even though she chose to cut her hair and can’t do anything about her chest
Kataoka says that everyone thinks she’s tomboyish because of her height (for a junior high girl), and fashion sense. It was then the two became good friends
They probably had over 20 sleepovers during second and third year. Kataoka likes to keep count of how many times they’ve spent the night together
Kataoka invites Okano to check out the spa to unwind and relax and maybe feel like most women. They loved it but Okano didn’t like the waxing part of the experience. The pain almost made her wanna kick the spa employee but Kataoka made sure she didn’t
These two calm each other down if they reach they’re breaking point. Like Kataoka will calm Okano down when she’s on a rampage after getting tricked by the boys. And Okano does the same to Kataoka if she sees she’s really stressing out keeping the class in check. They’re really there for each other
I headcanon Okano that she never had her ears pierced as a baby. She was always afraid of the pain. Until one day, Okano saw that Kataoka was wearing her grandmother’s pearl earrings. “You’re earrings are so pretty Meg! I wish I could wear earrings like that”. Kataoka offered to take her to a place to get her ears pierced.
Once they’re there, Okano’s in the chair and holds onto Kataoka’s hand to try to endure the pain. After one ear is pierced, Okano pretty much shrugged it off “huh, that wasn’t as bad as I thought!”. Then she picked out some matching pearl earrings to go with Kataoka’s but a little smaller
Okano loves to do Kataoka’s hair in different styles during their sleepovers. She just likes how soft her hair is. Once, she curled her hair and she was blown away by how pretty she looked with curly hair. And she said “you should totally do your hair like that at your high school prom!”
Since I ship her with Yada, I imagine Kataoka talking to Okano about questioning her sexuality. The conversation becomes deep when she expresses how great Yada is but at the same time, the thought of having a boyfriend in the future is unclear. Okano is fully supportive of her no matter what her orientation is.
In high school, they still keep in touch. They catch up to talk about their studies, crushes, crazy things that happen in their schools, and look back at their memories in E class. They’re sleepovers have been less frequent in high school though but they always try to get together once in a while
After the red vs blue arc, Okano felt a little bad for going against Kataoka and thought she would be mad or something. Kataoka came up to her and said that she did what she felt was right and she wasn’t upset with her. Actually, the arc was the first time they were on opposite sides.
I like to think they never got into a argument. Maybe little friendly debates here and there about stuff but they never actually fought
I headcanon Okano to be a closet fan of some boy bands and the only person she tells this to is Kataoka. She tells her her secrets because she’s the most trustworthy friend and doesn’t really like gossip anyway.
Sometimes after school, they go to the school yard to spar
They try several ways to become more feminine when they go out and after some time, they realize it doesn’t work for them.
