Artist Toby Allen has been working on this beautiful and meaningful art series called "Real Monsters" from 2013-2015. It imagines many mental illnesses as monsters and gives an explanation of what each of these monsters do when they attack you. They are available as prints here. Remember if you feel you are suffering from any type of mental illness to talk to someone and seek help, there is always help out there and it will get better. Here's a little about the series from the artist... "The Real Monsters are reborn! Upon getting so much attention for my previous designs, I wanted to redesign the monsters and develop the concept a little more. You’ll notice most of the monsters have subtle alterations and the descriptions have been changed to better reflect my original concepts. Disclaimer: The artwork is not at all intended to make light of these conditions but instead is intended to give these intangible mental illnesses some substance and make them appear more managable as physical entities."
