Sometimes I think about now blimey cow literally is the thing that encouraged me think critically in middle school about Christianity, planting the seeds to my deconstruction only for them years later to dismiss and mock people who are deconstructing because their youth group and church experiences were fine so everyone must be exaggerating.

Relationshipgate...

Is about to turn into y'all finding out I'm a messyassbitchgate real quick. So... 16 year old me had this crush on a guy in my choir class. This was my first real crush where I was fully aware that I liked this guy and wanted to pursue him. Fast forward a year later and I finally work up the courage to suggest we hangout outside of school. So we go to the movies have a good time, he takes me by his mom's job to say hey to her, we go to his house and chill for a bit like it was a decent/innocent day. So I start talking about relationships and such, you know dropping subtle hints because at the time I wasn't sure he was gay and I wasn't out (this is like 2010 to give you some perspective). Anyway, he tells me his mom doesn't want him dating black girls (boys) and I'm just like 😲. So that was that. I sort of gave up on him after that cause really what else was there to do.

Fast fast forward to about 2 years later we meet up again when I join the choir at our local community college. So the same thing happens again we spend the afternoon together, reconnect, and so on. So this day goes good and he invites me back to his place. At this point I know that he realizes I'm gay and that I realize he's gay so there's no reason to be weird this time. We get to his place and he introduces me to his roommate/boyfriend and again I'm like😲. So that year goes by and we rekindle our friendship. I decide not to ever tell him about my true feelings past or present and he transfers to a college 4 hours away. So... that leaves me and his boyfriend still at the community college together.😖

So I'm thinking we will just be acquaintances or whatever and not talk much but this boy starts being really sweet to me and inviting me places and giving me rides to class and my messy ass starts falling for him... HARD. So here I am falling for my crush turned good friends' boyfriend. Like I was in deep. I was staying after class helping him with his job, we were going shopping together, he invited me to an opera, we went to Olive Garden just the two of us (like to me that's some serious shit).

Nothing serious ever happened, at best it would be considered an emotional affair but I really did start to like him. Needless to say I spent the year feeling like shit because I was convinced I was betraying one of my oldest and dearest friends. I legit felt like a home wrecker. So the boyfriend eventually transfers to the same school that my friend went to and we fall out of touch.

Needless to say, I haven't really had any real crushes or relationships since either of them. Eventually they both moved back to town but I haven't seen or spoken to either in 2 years and sometimes it makes me sad but for the most part I think it's for the best.

I commented the first comment (Robdeltonie) on the above video.  For those who don’t know, Blimey Cow is a group of brothers who were homeschooled and produce videos together.  Their YouTube channel’s target demographic I’d describe as homeschoolers, especially Christian homeschoolers, but other people can relate to their videos just as well.  This video is from a series called “Jordan’s Messyges”. (Yes, it’s spelled like that.)  The show features Jordan giving advice to viewer-submitted questions that depict a real-life messy situation the person is in (often romantic-relationship oriented).  The advice is given is like a light gentle roast, but aims to generally give some degree of good advice.  It’s an acquired taste style-wise.

Now that this is all explained, I commented this in response to a question in the video (the one about Jordan’s Messyges being a bad show).  It’s true that I “rebelled” against my mom by watching HOA.  I don’t hold anything against her, but she prevented me from watching Pokemon for example because she said it had an “evil look”.  And yes, she was someone against me consuming anything Harry Potter-related.  It took some convincing to get her to back off of me watching Ghostwriter (a 1990s PBS Kids show produced by Sesame Workshop, which has since been rebooted on Apple TV+, albeit with a much different concept).  So you can imagine her attitude when she learned I was watching a show about a a British boarding school that’s the home to the teacher’s ancient Egyptian “cult”.  My mom didn’t like me watching House of Anubis, but needless to say, I watched it anyway.

So that’s the story behind my comment, yet the last reply I just got doesn’t make any sense to me.  Does it to anyone else?  Or is it just a random post by someone who doesn’t know what I was referring to when I said “House of Anubis”?  And what’s the connection to Ohio?  (Apart from the fact that one student, Nina I think, is rumored to have lived in Ohio.)

And one last side note: I don’t necessarily agree with the comment regarding Game of Thrones.  I haven’t seen a single episode, but I wouldn’t judge someone for watching it (or any show for that matter).  GOT just doesn’t seem all that appealing to me.

i really just saw someone on here say that those of us that are upset by what luke said are supposed to be because we can’t stand that he’s happy. no we want him to grow a set and acknowledge that his girlfriend treated his fans like shit.

That is the only defense the stannies have.  They all have to believe that anyone who doesn’t like Messy is desperately in love with Luke and is incredibly bitter that “she has him” and we don’t.  Complete and total BS.
