hi!! i actually use both, even though i tend to draw on my computer via tablet more. despite that, i think drawing on an ipad and procreate is probably easier and more straightforward for a beginning artist. i'm not very good with explaining things, so i encourage you to do some more research! good luck!

I've been seeing a lot of ML through Tiktok clips and/or reddit and stray YouTube clips. I want to get invested in it and enjoy it because it fits my flavor of the decade magical girl / romance coming of age show but it looks universally agreed upon to be pretty mediocre and the writer literally fights with people on Twitter every week 😭😭😭

I genuinely enjoyed it even up to mid season 5 (which is quite forgiving in retrospect) but after that, you could DEFINITELY tell it was written by a guy who fights with ppl on twitter every week 😂

I don’t regret watching it at all but if you ever decide it’s too much, I think ending on the 2023 Ladybug and Cat Noir movie is a good palette cleanse and cute homage to a lot of the motifs presented in the original 2D trailer. Tho heads up, it’s a musical which might not be everyone’s cup of tea 😛

That last post on ageism in fandom is so valid, it's so important we can retain our interest and enjoyment without fear of age impedding that. <3

Absolutely! Although our circumstances may change over the years, our core remains the same. We don't stop loving what we love once we hit a certain milestone. Can you imagine living without the things that bring us joy for the rest of our adult life?? No thanks, haha.

We don't magically become homogeneous gray blobs that only exist on this Earth to work and pay taxes once we turn 25-30. You can have a grown-up job that pays your bills and still enjoy Pokémon, anime, cartoons, video games, crafting... Or anything, really!

And I think it's important for older fandom people to be visible to prove this point. Plus, it's a way to help younger people who may be struggling with these fears realize that it's going to be okay. That you're not gonna lose your interests, your personality or your worth as a person as you age. I'm sure seeing older people enjoying fandom spaces (in a civil, respectful way of course!) can help others develop a healthier relationship with the idea of aging.
